Lo Imperdonable #16-17 Special Post #16 Final Scene (Televisa Uncut) & #17 Part of Opening Scene (Cut by Univision)

The above clip includes the complete final scene of Episode #16 as broadcast in Mexico on Televisa.  The last 30 seconds were cut from the Univision broadcast.

Sorry all - I tried to upload the complete opening scene of Episode #17 but this would have been twice as large in memory as the #16 clip; so I had to edit it down to include primarily the part of the opening scene that Univision cut from the opening - the same stuff cut from #16, plus a bit more, as you will see below.

Thanks, Latina. Yeah, Uni is not going to show that. Glad to see things got mutually passionate.

Thanks so much Latina. I don't see why Univision had to edit that out. There was nothing wrong it.

@Vivi - Exactly. By cutting those 30 seconds, Univision created the impression (as you said in another post yesterday) that it could go either way.....passionate or rapey. That was the main reason I ranted last night. This is no LQLVMR, thank goodness. Veronica clearly was into it here. Hopefully those viewers who doubted the chemistry between Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez will take a closer look from this point on.

@Mauricio - apparently Univision did not care for Ana Brenda's leg being exposed in such a suggestive manner. Is it any wonder that Univision keeps losing viewers in droves?

The whole exposed leg, hand on thigh thing was why they cut the scene in Sombra.

I just sent Univision a stinging complaint. It won't help but at least they will know us viewers are unhappy.

Latina - I'm NOT surprised they keep on losing viewers and they'll keep on losing them if they keep up with all the cutting. It's so disrespectful not only to the viewers but the actors, directors, and everyone else involved in the production.

gringo - Thanks for sending a compliant. It does help to let me them how we feel about the cutting. I will send them one myself.

Hi All,

I know it's only 9:30 pm on East coast, but I hope it's not too soon to mention that Univision once again butchered the start of #17, as I expected. Not only did they cut the 30 seconds that should have been repeated from last night, but they cut out the "continuation" of it....at least another 30 seconds.

I have the unadultered starting scene for #17. Can I post it in this same section? Of course, I will wait one minute past 10:00 pm to do so.

Latina- Yes, please. Not surprised the Uni cut consensual, adult, normal, healthy, tastefully shot love scenes. It's what they do best.

They apparently don't think that its allowed on tv in america. They could have showed that. It wasn't R rated stuff. Its not like they were going to show them haveing sex. We know what happens after the leg and the hand on thigh. They could have kept that 30 seconds on. Networks have censers, I think thats what its called, to determine whats appropriate tv. The things they show on the soaps here is just as steamy, and they don't cut it, in the daytime.

I don't know why my comment keeps disappearing. They didn't have to cut 30 seconds on there because it's not like they would actually show them having sex. I mean everybody knows what happens after the hand on the thigh and the leg and all that. the networks have sensors, I think that's what they call it,, to determine what they should put on TV. they've had soap operas in the daytime on TV in America and they don't cut anything. maybe they think Americans don't like stuff like that. They need to come to America and watch daytime TV soaps.

Double comments I thought it disappeared. O well. I MEAN WHAT I SAY!!!! LOL!!!

Sorry for the delay. The clip of #17 I had downloaded was way too long - almost five minutes. So, I had to create a clip from my own copy of the full episode. Since I'm new at the editing and couldn't quite remember how I managed to make the #16 clip it took me forever to create it. But when I tried to post it I discovered that it exceeded a size limit - which I'm guessing is 20 MB. So I had to edit that down again, which means my second clip is only part of the opening scene, but includes the entire part Univision cut of them lying horizontally on the bed.

The reason I think it is important to include both the closing scene of #16 and the opening scene of #17 is two-fold:

1. As we said earlier, the Televisa full version of the #16 closing clearly shows it's a passionate scene, not a rapey one. Both were totally into it.

2. But if you notice, their time on the bed horizontally lasted much longer at the start of #17 than the mere 30 seconds at the end of #16. The way Univision presented it, it suggested he stopped himself right away. The way it was shot and shown by Televisa, it went on long enough that Vero was truly left all hot and bothered, not simply bothered. I felt for her, poor girl. At the same time, though, Martin is torturing himself just as much, if not more, by this forced abstention, so I'm quite satisfied with Ximena Suarez writing it this way. (In my view, it's preferable to what we got on either La Mentira - where he did the deed then started treating her like crap the very next morning - or on CME, where he didn't even wait until the night ended before he started behaving like a total ass towards her.) Just my personal opinion. I know others will disagree, and that's ok.

Well either way, I have two words of advice for Verónica:

RUN AWAY!

Carlos

Word, Carlos. Each version of this guy has been a jerk.

Thanks so much LatinaInMD. It's a shame Univision edited that scene.

LatinaInMD,
Thanks so much for posting this. I saw the first video of epi#16, but have yet to see the second one, or episode #17 for that matter. I have to wait to get home.

I don't get Uni. I see more graphic scenes during daytime soaps, as Nina already mentioned, and more during primetime, and that's on network television! I think Uni figures that we as an audience only have them to watch our novelas. They are sadly mistaken. I am thinking about watching online. Does anyone know if Hulu cuts scenes the way Uni does, or do they show the entire Televisa version? I am sick and tired of the Uni scissors. Seriously Uni, grow up already!

Thanks Again LatinaInMD! Can't wait to see the epi and your added scene when I get home.

Hasta pronto!

AuntyAnn - Unfortunately, the novelas are censored and edited on Hulu as well. I don't think it is Hulu's fault. They stream what Univision offers them.

Mauricio
Thanks for the info about Hulu. I guess I'll have to research to find a site that offers full uncut episodes.

AuntyAnn - the full episodes already broadcast in Mexico are online. I have all of them uncut and commercial-free.

LatinaInMD,
Wow, that's awesome. Is there a website, and if so would you be able to share that information with the patio? It would be greatly appreciated. Off to bed, Gracias!

Hi AuntyAnn,

I'm able to share links to where the Televisa uncensored episodes are available, but I'm not sure if the Patio rules permit it. I welcome the input of more experienced recappers. (Of course, I could just ask our BlogMom Jane if it is permitted, but I'd rather not bug her, because I know she has her hands full dealing with all the spamming.)

In any case, now that I have editing software, I'll be prepared with uncensored clips if and when Univision's censors pull out those scissors again, so don't despair. If Univision doesn't show them, you'll still see them here.

@Carlos -

I saw your comment from last night on NovelaMaven's recap of Episode #16. You stated that you don't understand the uproar over the cut scenes, given that what Univision did show led you to believe that the marriage was not consummated. You are correct, of course. It was NOT consummated that night. But, we all know where this storyline is headed (not a spoiler, since it is in the synopsis of this novela) in terms of Martin's struggle between his feelings of love and hate. How are we as viewers supposed to get a clear picture of his inner love/hate struggle if Univision keeps cutting out the scenes that most clearly show that struggle? In the cut scenes, we see that BOTH Vero and Martin were into it. He didn't simply drop on the bed and then IMMEDIATELY let go of her, the way Univision presented it. In the uncut version, we saw that he got to the point of almost giving into the feelings of love.....and only THEN did he pull back. That's a heck of a lot more telling (for purposes of story development) than the way Univision presented it last night.

Thanks LatinalnMD! I feel like you're our special guardian of TNS :)

Latina- No rules against it unless people start posting spoilers. But we typically don't because believe it or not, this is one of the sites Uni scans from time to time. Quite often after a recapper shares a link for where to get full episodes, Uni does a sweep and shuts that site down. Better to keep the knowledge between recappers who can use the head start on recaps, or others who ask, privately on email.

So they did not make love? Veronica, what else you need to know your hubby is loco! uff. I can't wait for Martin to find out the truth que patan!
Romy

Thanks, Latina, for uploading this video! It really helps with the context of the story and, as you said, shows Martin's internal struggle of hate/love for Veronica. I appreciate all the work that you did to find the video, edit, and post it so we could enjoy what Univision cut out. Gracias!!!

LatinaInMD,
Thanks for the video posts and for answering all my questions. I understand about giving away too much information about where to find episodes. I am happy and appreciate the fact that you will be able to provide us with scenes that are cut by the Uni scissors. The extra work you and all the recappers do is above and beyond all my expectations. Please do not forget that we do not take you for granted. Because of you we can better understand the storyline as it was written and not how Uni decides to chop it up. Gracias!

Hasta pronto!
