Lo Imperdonable #39 Thu 7/9/15
Hello, everyone. I'm going to have to keep this short, as I'm not home - Mr. Noel and I are visiting our parents before the baby comes and I'm still able to travel comfortably.
So here is the quick retelling of last night's shenanigans in Mina Escondida:
- Emi and Martin meet in the forest and Emi explains that nothing happened between he and Vero, they just stumbled and fell on the bed together - haha, this is actually funny, because it's true; Daniel was the one to take him to the hovel, he didn't come willingly; Martin still doesn't care, he wants Emi out of their lives; Emi is willing to step aside, even if Martin doesn't deserve it, with the way he's been treating Vero and the place where he makes her live (can't argue with that); he just hopes that his sacrifice will be worth it
- Crescencio won't allow Pablo to date Ana Perla, he is "saving" her for Eleazar; Pablo tries to plead his case, Manuel protests ..... zzzzzzzzz
- Virginia and Daniel meet in her hotel room; she wants information about the village people, he wants some nookie; she unwillingly agrees and after the deed is done, she receives a message from Jorge - he's coming to Mina Escondida to bring his brats home
- Veronica and Magdalena are at the hovel, Magda is trying to comfort Vero - she is sure Martin will come around; she eventually convinces her to go to her place to do some gardening
- Emi kisses Claudia but she doens't like how fast he's moving; she knows that he's only doing it to forget Vero and she wants to be loved for herself, not just because she is available; so, let's just be amigos
- Daniel takes Virginia to the hovel; on the way there she keeps complaining about the weather and the pueblo and everything in between; she can't believe her eyes when she sees the "house" her cousin lives in
- inside the hovel, she remembers Dim's letters filled with promise about their future; she's weepy and obviously in pain, but she admits that as much as she loved him, her ambition was and still is greater; the house is obviously a dump, but Virginia starts searching for her pendant; she only finds Vero's in a bedroom drawer when the lady of the hovel comes back and catches her in the act; Vero is upset with the snooping and in general with the visit; but Virgi has come to make amends, to apologize for the way she's been treating her cousin in the past and to extend an olive branch;Vero is not buying it, though, she wants both she and Emi to go back to Mexico - Emi is already causing her problems with Martin
- Vero admits that the house is not in the best shape, but at least it's her place; Lorenzo drops by with some flowers for Vero from Martin and the message that he'll soon be home; she seems willing to forgive and forget, but she'd like Virginia out of the house first
- Virgi asks for a glass of water first and she ends up resting in the bedroom (because of her disease, of course), where more memories of Dim come flooding; this time we can see her with him, in the hovel, trying to clean it up a little bit - I had no idea that she was actually there at one point, did I miss something? she is obviously unhappy and she directly points out how she will never live in a place like this, she needs luxury and the city life - so Dim was very much aware of her character, at least she never lied to him - too bad that he was such a weak fool;
- Veronica comes back with the glass of water and Virgi tells her that she understands why Vero chose to live like this even if she, herself, would never be able to do it; just as she is about to leave, Nancy shows up and upon seeing Virginia she almost screams "Devil!"
- the girls don't understand the impactada reaction and when Nancy runs to another room Vero explains to Virginia that Nancy is the slightly crazy hired help, that Martin won't throw out, because she used to work for the old owner of the hovel; this time Virginia really has a fainting spell; Vero tells her that Dim died here and is buried in the cemetery; she'd also like to know why they were fighting that one time when she saw them and what exactly was going on between them; Virginia denies that they were more than friends, Dim liked Vero; this is when Vero realizes that Virginia has been spreading rumors about her and Dim being involved; again Virgi denies, denies, denies and just then Nancy comes back with a potion, that rightfully scares Virginia, sending her out of the hovel; Vero gets mad with Nancy and asks her to stop with her crazy or else she's out of there
- Claudia comes to see Martin at the mine; she's not allowed entrance (bad luck, apparently), but Martin comes to see her; she once again professes her love and throws herself at Martin's feet; he rejects her promptly, snaps at her for insulting Vero and asks her to stay away from them;
- Poor Julio is visiting Ana Perla at her balcony, promising to help her with Pablo, even if he doesn't trust him one bit; Ana assures him that Pablo is a good guy, why else would she have fallen for him? LOL and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
- Martin finally gets home and Veronica tells him about Nancy's latest stunt and going crazy when meeting Virginia; this doesn't ring a bell in Martin's head, he is more interested in making up with his wife, because he talked to Emi and he explained him all; this only makes Vero more mad, because Martin never trusts or believes her, he always listens to other people's stories and never talks to her about anything
- he is willing to talk now, but she's still upset, because he didn't even give her the benefit of the doubt the night before, he just quickly jumped to the wrong conclusion; she can't live with this type of sick jealousy, it would be better if they ended things
- Martin won't hear of it, though, he loves her; Vero wants to talk about the past, she now knows that Virginia has been poisoning him with false accusations; Martin doesn't want to talk about the past, but Vero insists, because she's not guilty of anything, it is Virginia who is a manipulative liar
- Martin tells her that Nancy saw her hugging Emi - this is correct, but there is nothing wrong in a hug, Nancy needs to butt out of their private life; Martin agrees with this and insists they make up; Vero wants the truth and she can't stand violence and the way he behaves sometimes; her father was a drunk, she can't go through that again; Martin promises to behave from now on - he's had to suffer a lot to be with her; she finally gives in, after she warns him that she needs to trust her, not others - let's see how long this truce lasts
- Virginia tells Daniel about meeting Nacy; she suspects that maybe Nancy knew her from one of Dim's photos but she didn't stick around long enough to find out, afraid that Vero might find out something, too; they go to the cantina for a drink (although Virgi would have preferred the hotel); there they meet Emi, who is impactado to see Virginia
Nancy tells Martin that the mujer rubia es mala (the blond woman is bad)
Vero and Martin are together, making out, in a nice, decent hotel room
Emi and Virginia are in bed together (dream or nightmare?)

Your quick retelling is perfect. "The lady of the hovel" – soooo funny!
I had the impression that Ginny's "memories" of herself and Demetrio in the hovel were actually fantasies. Ginny was imagining herself 'doing a Veronica' and realized she wouldn't have been able to pull it off. [I could be mistaken though.]
I loved Nanciyaga last night. Compare her reaction to Ginny with Crescencio's. Nanci sees the evil behind the golden mask; the Old Goat is completely dazzled by the mask. (Have you noticed that Nanciyaga hasn't called Vero 'mala' for some time? And that she has a hierarchy of maldad? "The woman as blond as the sun is just like the blond man – no! She's worse than the blond man!")
I was confused at first about Virginia's fantasy as well. I was surprised she even tried to imagine herself living in Veronica's conditions. And that she even knew how to imagine herself cleaning!
Veronica's make-up has really been changed the last couple episodes to pale and dark--to match her current life/mood.

"so Dim was very much aware of her character, at least she never lied to him - too bad that he was such a weak fool"
Veronica is a fool and Martin does lie to her. As she noted his mistrust was present before marriage and yet she married the monster. I wanted to smack him when he said he suffered so much to be with her, what a conniving abuser. Why doesn't Magdalena warn Veronica off this guy?
Pablo must have been dropped repeatedly on his head, what an idiot.
Claudia is pretty confident and in control with every dude but Martin. Clever play with Emiliano.
Know she was, but I cannot get my head around Virginia being in love with Demetrio.
I don't know how clever I am, traveling now. Being away from my doctor and my daily routine is a source of stress in a way. But the baby is fine, it's a girl and I believe she's already addicted to tns, since I watch them all the time.
I never thought that Virginia might have imagined the second flashback, but I guess you, guys, are right.
Vero is a fool, Martin is a bigger fool, Emi is an idiot and Dim was the dimmest idiot of them all. Sometimes I feel like the only smart one is Virginia - she knows what she wants and she's willing to do whatever it takes to get it. I'm being sarcastic, but all the other characters are weak or severely flawed - how are we supposed to trust the likes of Pablo or Ana Perla, who swears that her guy is good just because she loves him, while gorgeous Julio is right there, begging attention?
I don't understand why Magda doesn't tell Vero the whole truth, she knows that Martin is a liar and she has her special bond with the girl.
Funny how Crescencio didn't mind that Virginia was an outsider, too, when it came to hand-picking her for his beloved grandson (barf).
Ok, guys, gotta run, mom just made another batch of cookies that are calling for me> I hope I can get back online during the day. In the meantime, happy commenting.
Yeah, I get that. There's a constant low thrumming of anxiety that comes with pregnancy. The trick is not to let it drown out the joy. A girl! That's great! (Are you sure you should be watching these crazies with her?) :-)
In an earlier episode, there was another imaginary sequence – Ana Perla and Pablo on a horse – that was confusing as well. The problem is that there's no obvious visual cue or lead-in that makes it clear that it is unreal. It's odd. Usually, TNs hit us over the head with stuff like this. Here, the only way we know it isn't happening (or didn't happen in the past) is that it is logically IMPOSSIBLE. However, most of what we see in TNs is logically impossible, so it gets very tricky. :-)
Thank you for this recap. I only saw the last few minutes-- Martin's half-assed apology. I don't think he even really apologized. There were so many red flags in that conversation, and he cleared up nothing. I'll be really disappointed in Vero if she lets it go and lets him kiss her back into submission.
"lady of the hovel" -- LOL
Vero is right that Marty listens and believes what others have to say instead of listening and believing what she tells him.
I loved Nanciyaga last night too. Her reaction was perfect. I loved her coming out into the living room with the potion and scaring Virginia away.
I also thought that Virginia living at the hovel with Demetrio was a fantasy. At first it seemed like a real flashback but then I thought it had to be a fantasy since Virginia would never ever have agreed to live in a place like that.
I do not pay too much attention to this tn. It is on in the background while I read a book or am on my tablet. My current novel is much more interesting. However, I do look up when Julio or Crazy Marty are on the screen. We do not see much of Dr. F. Lately. Joven Emi continues to be fun to watch..such a tool.
Ginny and Claudia are pretty amusing to watch. Looks like Dr. Nanci has a new bad woman to focus on.
Romy
Marty dodged a bullet. Has no idea how blessed he is, stupid stupid man. Some women would have sent him packin. kudos to Emi for steppin up and admitting that nothing happened, there is hope for him yet. For that he should not end up with V-snake. Now he'll probably do something stupid, to counter the good deed.
Boohoo claudia. Wouldn't be interesting if selma turns out to be grumpy gramps sister, Emi is her bio son, and why did she lie? Im what iffin again yall, but just think.
You're training your daughter into the world of novelas and she isn't even here yet.
I see a new recapper in the making.
Adriana---You said something about Ana Perla like--while gorgeous Julio is right there begging attention. Yes, that's true but there has to be chemistry, something has to click and it isn't clicking. It is with Pablo.
I loved Nanciyaga. (Carlos where are you? Your girlfriend stole the show last night.) Instead of just calling Nanci crazy, Veronica should have a long talk with her and try to find out why she is saying the things that she is saying. You guys think that Martin should listen to Vero and trust her more. Maybe the same should hold true for Veronica to listen to Nanci and trust her a little more.
The previews show Nanciyaga talking to Martin tonight. Maybe Martin will listen and learn something.
Waiting for the next big Claudia show in Puebla Nueva. I don't think that little town has had entertainment like that ever. If that keeps up, the bar might end up making more money than the mine. LOL
Must see tv tonight.
the gringo
