Amores con trampa #100 and #101 Monday and Tuesday 8/17 and 8/18

We had a Susana and a Margarito sighting tonight! Margarito has gotten pleasantly plump and Susana is still with the fists at the ready...just like Fac. I think that may have been the funniest fight scene I've ever seen.

Well, played show. You totally psyched me out! That whole scene with Conchita finding the envelope behind the painting of the Last Supper was a DREAM!!! Porfirio wakes up from his nightmare screaming “You found my secret!!” What could it be?

Isa catches herself singing the theme to AI3! Just like me! She sends Peloncha out to get the newspaper. Peloncha grumbles about how old fashioned it is to read the paper. People use their tablets these days. She looks up to see Porfirio. She’s afraid and prays that God take her away...but not to Saint Peter. Porfirio gets flirty. Peloncha intones “cruz cruz cruz que se vaya el diablo y que venga Jesús” (May the devil begone and Jesus come!) Conchita makes her way to the hedges...and she is not happy that Peloncha seems to be busting moves on her “territory.” Porfirio asks Peloncha if she’d like to make him a good hard-boiled egg. Cochita flounces away with Porfirio following.

Peloncha goes back in with her paper and decides to read the entertainment/gossip section. She wants to get the latest on the AI3 cast. She’s pretty sure she would make a good reporter. I’m pretty sure that she makes some cracks that would be funny if I knew more about the gossip surrounding this show?

¡Ay de mí! Carmen is still at her “por fa” and the whole family is tired of it. Fac tells Carmen he will give her permission to go on to the reality show casting IF she gets an 8 on her test. Carmen runs off to study. Maria can’t believe Fac gave Carmen permission. Fac thinks it doesn’t matter because Carmen won’t get an 8 anyway!

Santi comes into Rocio’s bedroom. She’s not feeling well and Maria gave her permission to stay home. She doesn’t know what’s wrong with her. Santi thinks her relationship with Beto has her feeling bad. She disagrees. She asked for a little time. Santi takes that to mean they broke up and Rocio gets frustrated. Just because someone asks for a little time it doesn’t mean they hate the other person or they want to break up. Santi tries to explain to her that men don’t think that way. Women are like baseball bats and they can beat a man’s feelings down very easily.

Carmen talks to Diego and notes how sweet and loving he can be. She inspires that in him. He really likes her. He’s going to support her anyway he can so the dance contest goes the way she wants it to. She asks him to help her forge an 8 on the test. Diego said he was more for helping her study, but they are unable to finish the conversation because Susana comes in. Susana doesn’t think Carmen can get the 8. Carmen swears she’ll get that 8. They’ll see who Carmen Gloria “La Yoya” Carmona Sanchez is!

Estefy gives the incriminating picture of Maria and Florencio to Esteban. He wants to divide and conquer. He lectures her about Machiavelli. They have to get all the money from the Carmonas!

Santi looks through Rocio’s fashion design sketches. He’s impressed. He’s an architect so he understands lines. He knows designs. She really enjoys doing them. Sometimes she thinks she would really like to do more with her designs and other times she wants to just get married and have a family. Santi tells her she is still very young. There’s still plenty of time.

Carmen studies and is approached by Feli. She tells him all about Frederick Versanchez offering her a chance to be on the reality show. Feli is a poopy head and he poopy heads all over her dreams. She’s so excited and all he says is “I liked you at the beginning because you were so different. Now I see you aren’t. You’re so….frivolous.” I just can’t support him any more. I know, I know, a model reality show is not the best thing, but dangit it’s what Carmen aspires to. A shadow girl (Jessica?) text someone about Carmen wanting to be on a reality show.

Santi tells Isa about Rocio’s talent at designing. He thinks they need to support her. Isa is happy about the idea. They both comment that Rocio is like Isa in that regard.

Maria goes to see Beto. He’s still upset thinking that Rocio doesn’t love him anymore. Maria says that sometimes women are strange. You may ask them if something is wrong and they’ll say “nada”, but nothing if further from the truth! If Rocio says she wants Beto to stay away, it means she still loves him. Oookaay. Maybe not the best advice.

Fac finds the envelope containing the incriminating picture on his desk. He heads right over to Florencio’s apartment and a pretty funny fight ensues. What a nice lamp! POW! Maria, thank heaven you’re here! WHAM!! Totally just big boys “wrasslin” (Dear wardrobe dept. I heartily approve of Fac’s red shirt unbuttoned to practically his navel.) OMG and Florencio makes this totally odd little AHHH call that just cracks me UP!

Isa talks to her mom about the past. Totally didn’t pay attention to this one. Mom put up with cheating for the sake of the family. She couldn’t keep a man after dad passed way. Mom went off to Italy. They have to talk about Isa’s sister. Mom is leaving.

When the overgrown boys finally stop fighting, Florencio reminds Fac that Maria is a decent woman and he should trust her. Florencio was just there to see Porfirio, but he won’t tell Fac why exactly.

Susana and Margarito interrupt Carmen’s studies. Carmen is crying. She has to choose between love and fame. Susana asks her to clarify “between Feli or Diego.” Carmen says that she really likes Diego and she just sees Feli as a friend….I must have misunderstood….nope, I rewound it. She said Feli is just a friend...but he criticized her dream. He called her frivolous and even though she doesn’t like him any more, she doesn’t like him treating her like that. Susana does’t believe she likes Diego either. If Carmen did, she wouldn’t be only thinking about the casting. Carmen reminds her that all important modelos have had to make a sacrifice.

Frederick Versanchez knows someone at the Milan Fashion Institute who could help Rocio. Isa doesn’t think that would be a bad idea there. Isa is worried about Rocio’s relationship with Beto. Isa and Santi are prepared to support their niece in anything, but Rocio will have to decide. Isa asks about Frederick’s outfit (turban and bindi.) Apparently his shopping addiction has got creditors after him. He’s incognito. He suggests a shopping spree to Isa.

Fac shows Maria the photo. That’s why he fought with Florencio. Maria immediately thinks it’s the work of Isa. Fac says he believes Maria...but he doesn’t seem super sure to me. He wants to know why Florencio came to see his dad. Maria takes that as doubt from Fac. I don’t quite get that. She tells him that he’s not not going to lose her, but if he can’t trust her...she can’t stay with him. They remember taking their vows and end up kissing.

Isa wants Rocio to really think about her relationship with Beto. If Rocio marries him, she’ll be tied to his family forever. Rocio says she really loves Beto. Isa thinks it’s just a phase and wants to know why Rocio asked for time apart. Rocio tries to throw her out...but Isa ignores her and now changes her tune. If Rocio loves Beto, then why not stay with him. She just wants Rocio happy. Isa is afraid. Rocio can’t destroy love, she has to take care of it.

Dinner with the Carmonas. Susana asks about the mark on Fac’s face. He brushes it off as nothing. (Susana practices her one-two punches...it’s cute!) It’s time to eat! Fac asks Carmen to put the book away. She’s studying hard. She wants to be Mexico’s top model. Jacinto impresses us with his English. He’ll take the test for Carmen. Carmen declines the offer. In school stuff she doesn’t cheat. Porfirio fusses at them for not respecting eating time. Beto is depressed about Rocio. The whole family talks him into facing Rocio. Fac gives his blessing for Beto to go see her.

Beto is with Rocio. He heard she was not feeling well. He really wants to know why she’s being so uncaring with him. She tells him not to be so insecure. Poor Rocio! I really feel for her. She’s so confused and Beto is just pressuring her more! She says she’s afraid, but she’s not sure of what. Beto gets grabby and she just wants to be alone. Beto thinks she’s lying; that she stopped loving him and doesn’t want to tell him. Beto asks her if she’s lying and if she just doesn’t love him any more. She asks him “what if I don’t? What if I’ve changed my mind?”

Sara, you took the words right out of my head.

Yes, Susana and Margarito - sights for sore eyes indeed.

I thought the dear little piglet was a little bigger. Just means there is more to love.

I adore Susana's stance where she is ready to rumble...

The lace collar on Susana's plaid shirt made me smile. A touch of femininity for our teen tomboy.

Can't wait for the recap Sara.

Diana

Yes! More to love! I just posted the recap. It may need some filling in. I was trying to be a little faster tonight.

Sara, phenomenal recap, written with wry humor and excellent insight.

"...and she is not happy that Peloncha seems to be busting moves on her “territory” and "overgrown boys" were among many favorites.

“(Dear wardrobe dept. I heartily approve of Fac’s red shirt unbuttoned to practically his navel.)” Yes, yes. More low cut shirts (or none at all) please!

I am more intrigued than ever as to what in the world is in that envelope. The dream sequence caught me totally off guard. Well played writers!

Not sure if I’m in synch with Santi’s rationale “Women are like baseball bats and they can beat a man’s feelings down very easily” but he is so sweet and supportive of the children (Rocio tonight), he makes me smile so rant away Santi!

It seems several objects of desire have cooled off lately. Esteban for Isa and Isa for Facundo. Esteban seems totally obsessed with money now and Isa…well, who knows what goes on in that feverish little mind. She does conjure up an occasionally lucid thought including “Rocio can’t destroy love, she has to take care of it”. At least she appears to have stopped her pursuit of Facundo, and for that, I am happy. Very relieved she and Facundo never did anything they would live to regret.

To be honest, I have no idea what Carmen and Beto are feeling about Feli/Diego and Rocio respectively. I still think Beto is imbedded in Carmen’s heart. However, Beto drives Rocio even further away by becoming aggressive when he should retreat. Let her breathe man. But who's behavior is he emulating? The apple doesn’t fall from the tree, does it? I am not sure if Rocio is indeed changing her mind, if Beto is pushing too hard, if she is afraid she can’t pursue her career if she gets married or all of the above.

Frederick and his cool outfit made me smile. Yes, those are just the accessories to sport when trying to hide in plain sight.

I hope we have more focus on Susana, Margarito and the other young people. They are the heart and soul of this.

Thank you for all of your dedication Sara. It is greatly appreciated.

Diana

Yay! Thanks, Sara. That fight was funny and a lot of fun. :)

Nice to see Margarito, who has definitely gotten bigger and more portly since the tn began.

As much as Carmen's plan to become Mexico's next top model doesn't appeal to me personally, I did not appreciate Felipe crapping on her dreams like that. What gives him the right? Carmen never hid that she wants to be a model. That was always her dream, since before she met him. Shut up, Feli.

I like that Diego was not willing to help her cheat or fake a high grade, but very willing to help her study so that she can earn the grade, and get one step closer to her dream.

Drat. I think Feli is imbedded in Carmen's heart.

Diana

I don't know what it will take for Beto to understand that just because he and Rocio love each other, doesn't mean they have to get married tomorrow (or even ever). Or that just because Rocio isn't ready to get married so soon, doesn't mean she doesn't love him. Perhaps if she showed him her sketches and started to talk about her dreams of being a designer and the future she envisions. The problem is that she can't seem to envision having both love, a husband, a family, AND a career. The only issue is the timing of everything. But she needs to be convinced that it's possible, before she can even try to convince Beto. They both seem to be under the impression that it's all right NOW, or nothing at all.

Vivi, your points are well taken (as always).

Feli is being selfish, self centered and unsupportive. All I can think of is that he is terrified of losing Carmen and doesn't know what else to do as Diego holds all the cards.

Diego is surprising me (in a good way). What a character change since this began.

Diana

Thank you, Sara. The recap is wonderful as is.

A few rambling thoughts:

The best part was the Margarito sighting. He and Susana both seemed to be more mature than Carmen. I did not enjoy Carmen. Sorry, but I thought Felipe was right on target calling her frivolous when she was going on about wanting to be "famous." She is turning out to be truly shallow(not that there is anything wrong with that . . . :) )

I loved Conchita getting all proprietary on Porfirio calling Porfirio her "territory".

Interesting that Corina blames everything on Isabel and deciding it would be better to just "escape" to Italy than talk things out with her daughter. I wonder what she doesn't want to talk about.

After her conversations with Santiago and Isabel, it is clear that Rocío is conflicted about fulfilling her own dreams and marrying Beto. Too bad Beto had to insist on being so intrusive because he is ending up hearing exactly what he feared: that Rocío does not love him (out of her exasperation). Sad he was not able to give Rocío the space and time she needed. His visit and questions were suffocating.

That us all for now.

Jarifa

Jarifa- Thing is, Carmen was always shallow and frivolous, from the first day Feli met her. But she is also kind-hearted, loyal, and has a moral compass. These were the things that attracted him to her. So it's disingenuous of him to act like he fell for her when she was acting differently or she somehow misrepresented himself, and to mad about it. Especially when what he's really mad about is that HE messed up his chances with her, and she seems to now like Diego more than she likes him.

Jarifa, "Too bad Beto had to insist on being so intrusive because he is ending up hearing exactly what he feared: that Rocío does not love him (out of her exasperation) Sad he was not able to give Rocío the space and time she needed. His visit and questions were suffocating".

Yes, you stated it perfectly.

She needed him to back off and he "rushed" her. What a shame.

Diana

Diana

Typo- Misrepresented HERSELF...

As much as I loved the fight scene, the portly Margarito and Spunky Susana and was distressed by Feli and Beto.

Like Vivi, I'm not all that thrilled with Carmen pursuing the Top Model dream...but that's her dream. Why should Feli belittle it?? She really is still the same person. Didn't she BEG for PERMISSION to do it? It's not like she went against anyone's wishes. I grumble in Feli's general direction.

It's great that Carmen is no longer on the fence about Diego, but why won't she tell him???

Beto, Beto, Beto. Your mom has a career and family. Why can't you chill for half a second and let Rocio tell you about her dreams. And when she does, why not support her. She can have it all...if you would stop being a caveman for a minute. I understand you love her, but you are both young. There's plenty of time!

Comment bomb
I read somewhere that pigs grow at a rapid pace. Maybe that's why they kept this short. Any longer and Susana wouldn't have been able to carry Margarito around!

Sara, so true that Margarito has become "portly" as you described him.

Carmen needs an "ethical" adjustment. Her first reaction to achieving an "8" on the test was a "trampa" asking Diego to help her cheat? Her character is just annoying.

Sara, "wrasslin' " sure describes the fight between Facundo and Florencio. They were like the two boys they once were.

Interesting comment Isabel made about the married women in "this country" forgiving the infidelities of their husbands so as not to destroy their families.

Isabel mentioning wanting to talk about her sister was the magic needed to make Corina want to leave.

Another comment that drew my attention: Rocío tells Isabel (for the thousandth time) that she does not want children and if she does get pregnant one day she knows how to take care of things.

Jarifa

Jarifa- Yeah, the not wanting to have kids thing really stuck out. First, because she has spoken about having kids with Beto, and sounded happy about it (although she didn't want as many as he wanted), and second, because I see that as a true deal breaker for any long-term relationship for her and Beto. He's all about family and children. There's nothing wrong with that, but also nothing wrong with Rocio not wanting kids. But it means there's no future for them as a couple, and that's sad.

Vivi gets credit for "portly" :-)

Thank you for pointing out Rocío's comment Jarifa. I hope it doesn't become a plot point, but why have her say it?

Sara, Vivi: It seems that when these novelas are really well written, there is no wasted dialogue. The ending of this one might have lots if surprises.

Jarifa

Diana, you are so right about the "apple not falling far from the tree" with Beto's insistent behavior. Facundo is not the best role model for these dealings with Rocío.

Jarifa

Agreed, Jarifa. I've seen some shows though where almost all the dialogue was useless. *cough* La Gata *cough*

Never saw "La gata". So much to watch, so little time! : )

That was from me, Jarifa. Posting from my phone on the road.

Other than Maria and Facundo, I have NO idea who are other couples are going to be at the end of this tn. I had thought before that Rocio and Beto were end game, but now in final weeks, we see they have some real differences in life goals and values that are not easy to overlook or overcome.

Jarifa, thank you for telling us"...Rocío tells Isabel (for the thousandth time) that she does not want children and if she does get pregnant one day she knows how to take care of things". This may have been mentioned before and if so, I apologize for not remembering.

I think with true love there are many obstacles and differences that can be dealt with and overcome when people love each other. This is not one of them.

Taken at face value, Rocio and Beto should never marry. Unless one of them has a lasting change of heart, this will never work. Heartbreak, resentment and anger are the only things that could come of this.

I can't remember Rocio's background, but she grew up without her parents. I think she is scared and the crazed goings on (between Isa and Santi and everyone in between) have not helped. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Diana

Thanks so much, Sara!

Funniest bits: the fight, which had me laughing out loud practically through the whole thing. And Maria with the rolls against her ears trying to block out Carmen's "por fa".

I'm wondering if there's more than one Margarito. He's changed size before.

With Rocio and Beto it's a case of "if you love me you'll marry me now." and "If you love me, you'll wait until I'm ready."

Sara, thanks. I missed the show last night, but your recap lets me in on all the fun. My favorite line: Dear wardrobe dept. I heartily approve of Fac’s red shirt unbuttoned to practically his navel.) lol - must watch this online.

Looks like no one is at Feli’s table. I'm finally off the fence. Feli was pitiful Friday – can’t dance and, much worse, won’t even try and can’t even cycle. Even worse, he ratted out Carmen to her parents. And now he’s putting down her dream of being Mexico’s next top airhead, uh, model. What a wet blanket.

Carmen is 19 so I say let her enjoy being frivolous and self-centered a bit. Diego is more mature and can deal with her, plus he's fun. I’m shocked Carmen wanted to cheat on the test, so she clearly needs some growth. But she’s shown she’s a good person, like when she dumped Feli when she thought Francis was having his baby.

I’m on Beto’s side. When your love says they want some time away from you, that’s not good. Rocio should let him in on what she’s thinking, give him a chance to try to understand. As it is, he has no clue why she wants to be apart right now. Despite what Rocio says, I think she wants kids, eventually but not now. She’s very loving with Ale and has looked out for the Carmona’s like a protective mother.

Glad the photo blew over. So what will Estefany do now?

I'll take a stab at what’s in that envelope. I’m guessing it’s a Dear John letter from Porfirio’s wife when she left him.

Niecie- I agree with you that Rocio should be straight with Beto and tell him what she's really thinking/feeling. He's not a mind reader, and can't be expected to know that when Rocio says she needs time away from him she's not saying, I'm tired of being your girlfriend (which is the MOST logical interpretation), but instead that she's started to discover all these things she wants to do with her life, and she really doesn't think getting married so young will allow her to do those things, and she doesn't really feel mature enough and ready for marriage yet, and she's worried that he won't approve and want to wait. How is he supposed to know all that?

Perhaps the letter said: "Dear Porfirio- I can't take your flirtatious, womanizing ways. But I'm willing to give our marriage another try. If you feel the same way, please bring Facundo and come meet me in X city by X date." And maybe Porf never read the letter, assuming it was simply a goodbye letter.

Thank you for the great recap! I missed the episode. I'm going to try to watch it before tonight's.

If you are pressed for time, Carvivlie you have to at least watch the fight. It was highly entertaining!

I think Rocio is mixed up. She doesn't know what to do or think. It's like someone mentioned before: with those two it has to be all or nothing. They're very young, still.

Sorry. This is going to have to be a short, from memory, incomplete highlights reel. It was our first day of block classes--103 minutes. Blech. I’m pooped. And I feel like I had major comprehension issues tonight. Nothing made sense to me :-(

Beto and Rocio
I continue to scratch my head over Rocio’s behavior, but I haven’t been young for a long time. She breaks up with Beto. I think out of desperation. She keeps insisting to everyone that she’s in love with Beto...but she’s scared. Even Santi seems confused. Why is she being this way with Beto if she loves him so much?

Despite his confusion, Santi comforts Rocio and brings her chocolate milk and cookies. (Mr Laguardia-My email is in my profile. Please get in touch. You may bring my chocolate milk and cookies any time. Please don’t tell my husband.)

Isa listens in. She is sad that Rocio doesn’t seem to trust her aunt as much as she trusts Santi. Isa cries that they can never know her secret.

Rocio even mentions that Beto has another girl going after him.

Hilda
Didn’t get on my nerves tonight. She seems to have actually gotten over Beto, Betito, Betote and seemed interested in Felipe, Felipito, Felipote. At first Feli seemed just as interested. In fact, he looked more animated than I ever saw him with Carmen.

Alas, Feli is fickle. Using skulking skills of his own (really he and Hilda are a match made in heaven) he watches as Hilda offers Beto some of Panzón’s birria (Not vegan. I googled it.) Mind you, Hilda was offering this as a friend. Feli got jealous and told Hilda what she could do with her birria. Geez. I actually felt sorry for the girl.

La Italiana
Corina and her RoboItaliano are are leaving molto rapido. Isa stops her and says they have to talk about her sister (Malena?) Before she died Isa’s sister handed her an envelope. That envelope was to be given to Rocio when she turned 21. Corina stole that envelope and Isa wants to know what it contained. Corina tells her it contained instructions to sell all of Malena’s properties, furniture...everything. Isa wants to know what happened to the money. Corina spent it all. She used it to finance her luxurious lifestyle in Italy.

Isa tells Rocio about Corina’s departure and says Corina’s getting married. Rocio wants to go to Italy and spend time with Corina.

Maria is Awesome
Maria comes to visit Rocio and return the sketchbook that was left in the boutique. Maria loves the sketches. She sent pictures of them to SBeC. The girls are going to start making the items and they are going to sell them in the boutique. I absolutely love this. Maybe Maria will help Rocio and Beto see that they *can* have it all. (Oh please, oh please.) Isa returns home and Maria decides it’s time to go. Isa asks how Maria is doing. Maria assures Isa that things are fine with Fac.

Grupo Carmona
Santi signs over his shares. It’s time for him to leave the company. Sad.

Esteban and Estefy discuss the picture. They *have* to split up Fac and Maria. Esteban wonders if Fac even saw the pics. Esteban goes to snoop in Fac’s office...and gets caught!

Yes, Nanette! I totally agree that Rocio is just completely confused and turned around. All the family drama doesn't help.

Sara, sounds as though you had a long, tiring day. You are so kind to gift us with this fresh, insightful and fun recap.

"Using skulking skills of his own (really he and Hilda are a match made in heaven)" was my hands down favorite line. And you are so right in that Hilda did perk Feli up and we were treated to a rare but wonderful smile.

"(Mr Laguardia-My email is in my profile. Please get in touch. You may bring my chocolate milk and cookies any time. Please don’t tell my husband) made me smile and nod in vigorous agreement. I've never seen a "villain" so infused with kindness and heart. The actor is simply loveable.

Maria to the rescue again. Glad Rocio has such a supportive mentor.

Finally, a Francis free episode.

Sara, thank you.

Diana

Sara, thank you for your very fine and enjoyable recap after a long hard day. Also, thanks in advance for the header tomorrow. I am ready to roll.

Sara, I loved your request for Mr. Laguardia. Santiago was such a comfort to Rocío. Isabel of course was useless because she had to make it all about herself as usual. Finally Santiago had to actually tell her that Rocío was important; not him or her. Isabel is very similar to Facundo in that way: they don't "get" really basic stuff.

Yes, Hilda and Felipe could be the perfect match with their shared"skulking skills" that you documented so well. Loved Felipe telling Hilda he wasn't eating what would be leftovers so to speak.

Stupid question: if Beto was so upset that he could not sleep, why did he not just leave the room, go somewhere else, outside with the animals so, anywhere else so Jacinto could sleep? No, María just tells the kid to put the covers over his head. A real "duh?" moment.

Rocío needs some real time by herself with no obligations to figure herself out. I can understand her being in crisis and scared. It would be nice if she could be away from the turmoil of both her aunt Isabel and Beto. Better she find herself now than being a runaway bride or feeling trapped in a marriage a couple of years down the line.

Loved Florencio telling Santiago to stop his bawling and Facundo having to "translate" Florencio's dialect for him.

At least we know what the Malena/Corina story is. It is better Corina is off back to her beloved Italia and her 90 year old novio.

Jarifa

Sara- You did a marvelous job of capturing everything.

I was so happy to see how Maria handled things with Rocio, and to hear how she's sent some of Rocio's designs to get made. So cool! I was worried that she would take a hard stance since Rocio broke Beto's heart.

Also happy to see Hilda has given up on Beto and that Feli seems to be interested in her. Good. Takes care of two loose ends.

Yeah, Isa just doesn't get the difference between how Santi listens to, supports, and advises Rocio, versus the way she does it, which always puts Isa at the center of everything.

So, has Isa felt guilty all these years about allowing Corina to take the letter? And doesn't Corina feel any guilt about stealing Rocio and Felipe's inheritance? Wow! That's bad. But what did this have to do with locking up Rocio before she turned 21? If she never knew about the letter, it's not like she could confront Isa about it.

Thanks for all the recaps, Sara! I have been so busy doing all the errands and getting docs ready for my house purchase closing i sometimes think i am going insane!
but Diana, I have to totally agree with you on not really getting what Carmen and Beto are feeling. I am beginning to feel sorry for Diego and Rocio, both of whom I am growing really fond of.
Vivi, totally agree on it being so cool how Maria is supporting both Beto and Rocio (whether or not they end up together... she is really getting close to Rocio as a mother and supporter no matter what).
Also, Felipe and Hilda... yes i see some potential there, but i am not totally sold that Hilda is OVER Beto... or she is just telling him so... Felipe had a point, or at least good reason to be questioning her behavior.
And yes, I also totally agree that Isa seems to really be on her way (far along I would say) to clueless town... regarding her kids and what they want and what is best for them.
Wow! so Corina spent all of Rocio and Felipe's inheritance! that was a low blow! and not sure how to interpret Isa's painful reaction... did she really want them to get the money or did she want the money for herself?? I do agree with Jarifa that Rocio does need time to herself, but that does not mean she could not take Beto out of his mysery and tell him she DOES love him, just need time to herself... i think that would be easier on him than what she did.
Florencio is another character winning points in my book. Way to go to just not engage Facu and instead trying to talk some sense into him.

Sara, Sara, Sara, thanks so much. I didn't get any of the Corina / Isa convo so the details in your recap floored me. Corina took the inheritance and spent is on herself? And now Rocio wants to go to Italy to spend time with her grandmother? I think a criminal investigation is in order.

Love the F&F scenes. They must have a ball filming them. The "we have to translate Florencio" is sooooooooo funny.

Agree with all. Rocio should just be honest and voice her wishes, not just to Beto. However, don't go live with Corina (despicable). Just no.

Well isn't Hilda turning into a redemption. With her past history, maybe she just deserves Felipe. That will be her penance.

Lola

Congrats on the house, Marta! That's wonderful!

Everyone having trouble understanding Florencio was so funny, but it made me feel better too.

Thanks, Sara.

I think Rocio is so confused she doesn't know what to do. I think she told Beto that because she's desparate to get him to leave her alone and he kept at her and at her.

As soon as she told him that I thought you just opened the door for Hilde. And then H. turns up in the very next scene!!! Noooooooo!! I guess from reading the recap/comments, she only thinks of Beto as a friend. Didn't look like it, but she is a bit of flirt.

Tell me that someone else so Feli licking his lips when he saw Hilde at the house. Ewwwww!

Marta: congrats on the house.

Nanette

I'm trying to catch up with eps waaaaay back when Rocio is still kinda "goth" and I have to say I like her look better then than now.

I hope your new home brings you and your family much happiness Marta. That's wonderful.

Fab recap!

Agree Marta that Rocio seems to be talking around the situation with Beto. I wish she would just say she loves him and wants a family but also wants a career so wants to take things slow. I don't think she is giving Beto enough credit. He loves her and I think that he would be willing to put the family part on the back burner until she is ready.

Vivi: If this is the only secret Isa has been holding onto I'm super disappointed. So she didn't even know what the secret was that she kept fearing would tear the family apart? And what was with the committing Rocio by 21? Dropped plot point? I can't help but think that Isa is waaaay too curious to not have opened the letter but she seemed devastated. I thought Isa was selfish but her mother takes it to a whole other level.

I'm a little confused as to why Felipe didn't have a letter also. I guess Malena could have instructed Rocio to give half to Felipe but you would have thought they would both get a letter.

Santi always great. Sara, totally agree that he can stop by for milk and cookies anytime!

I thought Maria was a bit presumptuous to give away Rocio's drawings without asking her permission. And I don't really see Maria coming to the rescue when Santi and Isa both want to fully support her in it.

Hilde does seem to be getting the redemption treatment and I hope she ends up with Feli bec I really want Carmen and Diego together.

Sara – Thanks a bunch. Hope you get some time to unwind.

Marta – Congrats!

Poor Rocio, I wish they’d suggest a psychologist for her. But, wait, the resident psych is a psycho. So maybe a career counselor or life coach. I give Beto props for not turning to Hilde. I think he does realize that Rocio still loves him.

ITA so glad Maria isn’t turned off Rocio. Rocio is seeming high maintenance and flighty right now and that would scare a future mother-in-law for her son.

ITA Santi turning to Fac for translation of Florencio was too funny. My favorite scene.

Carvivlie – I agree with all you said about Isa’s secret. Earlier, Isa said Rocio would hate her if the truth came out. Surely the big “truth” is more than Isa letting Corina take the letter. And why would a mother write a letter to one baby and not the other baby. And isn’t Feli the oldest? Wouldn't a mother naturally put the inheritance in the hands of the oldest if she had to choose between the two? Inquiring minds want to know. I think there are more secrets to come out of Isa and Corina.

Feli and Hilde as a couple would drive Isa up the wall.

Actually, I've never been sure that Feli is the oldest. I've gotten the impression that Rocio is the oldest. In that way, I think the Velasco-Carmona kids are matched up by age: Beto and Rocio; Feli and Carmen; Susana and Ale.

Congratulations, Marta, sounds wonderful!

Nanette, ITA about Rocío. The only reason that she told Beto she didn't love him was that he kept insisting. He was asksing for it, beggging for it. So, she let him have it. He has been insistent the entire time and seems to be oblivious for her need for some time. When she first asked for "time" a while back he countered with how much time and wanted to pin her down. She has had a major meltdown and he like (Facundo and Isabela in their own ways) just refuses tom "get" it. Again, he is making it all about him. I don't think she needs a psychologist. She just needs everyone to leave her the heck alone. A trip to Italy just might do the trick.

Looks like Hilda and Felipe could end up together. That would make for some interesting times at the Velasco house.

Jarifa

Jarifa, if Hilda and Feli end up together, I'd love a seat at the table. I'm certain Isa and Hilda will discuss and bond over the many things they have in common and their mutual acquaintances!

It's a tossup. I think she would either push Isa over the edge or up the wall as you noted Niecie.

I don't think Hilda deserves Feli. I might suspect Rocio might not be in favor of this love match based on her and Hilda's history. Hilda has a lot to atone for.

Diana

Diana, yes, Felipe is too good for Hlda. She needs an anvil not a prize. : )

Jarifa

There may be another secret. I remember a flashback from before when Malena gave Isa the letter. She also whispered something in Isa's ear that shocked her. I just assumed she told her what was in the letter. Maybe it was another secret altogether.

True, Nanette. And all that talk about Malena betraying her. There must be more.

I wondered last night what was the point of having Corina show up. Then the bombshell. I know she wasn't in the show very long, but she needs a BIG anvil.

Vivi: I thought maybe it had something to do with Rocio's father. Just a thought that popped in my head. Maybe someone Isa was in love with? Maybe Santi? Maybe Esteban? Rocio has made it a point that she despises Esteban--so I bet that's it.:)

@ Jarifa

Actually i think Felipe is an anvil. Lets face it, he character is very bland compared to Diego. Did you forget he ratted Carmen out. I say Let Hilda have Felipe so he can let Carmen be alone with Diego and stop bothering her. Either way i find Hilda more enjoyable than Felipe on screen.

Ana, personally, I didn't mind him ratting Carmen out. She has been repeatedly excused for her immature behavior. Why not him?
