Lo Imperdonable #63 (Tel #64) Thu 8/13/15 Let's get this party started!

Aaron tells Malena that their daughter has
been adopted by a very rich family, after he decided to fake his death.
The new stuff
Pueblo Nuevo – If the engagement is so
pretentious, what is there left for the wedding?
Pablo’s mom has very nice words to say
about her son – ever since his father died, he proved to be hardworking and
well behaved, making her extremely proud. If Crescencio accepts him into his
family, he will have nothing to be sorry about.
Abuelo is happy with what he hears, all his
remaining doubts are now gone. He asks for the party ceremony to continue. Pablo
starts his speech: he asks the head of the family to give his consent and then
both he and Ana Perla kneel, while Crescencio gives his godly blessing.
Sorry, this looks so ridiculous.
As Pablo slips a ring on AP’s finger, Julio
looks on in anger and then leaves.
In the city
Aaron hugs Malena, promising her that their
daughter had a very good life. He kisses her (both Malena and the Patio can
barely stand it). Malena wants some more information, but Aaron has shared
enough for now. He wants some money to pay his debts. After she obliges, he’s
out the door, leaving Malena to shake with disgust and with the realization that Aaron hasn’t changed one bit.
At the hospital
Sickly Virginia asks Emi if
he truly loves her. She is basically asking for forever, which he manages to
avoid answering, by saying that things are just starting for the two of them, anything
could happen. Well, this is enough for Virginia to want to get better, knowing
that Emi will always be there for her. When he’s gone to fetch Mariana, she
rolls her eyes and laughs.
The engagement party ceremony continues and
everything looks lovely. Vero is even a little envious that things didn’t
happen like this for her and Martin, too. Not to worry, he says, when we renew
our vows, everything will be perfect. Hah!
They talk about taking care of Botel
because Malena asked them to and Martin mentions that the notary has prepared
the papers that they need to sign in order for Vero to get 50% of what he owns.
She doesn’t care about that, but he insists that he wants to be her partner
both in their private life as in business.
This reminds Vero of the money she offered
to help him out with the mine – where did Martin get it from if it wasn’t from
her? Aaaaaaahhhh, welllllll, the mine is doing better after all and while she
was sick things improved and they are back on track again. Vero kind of
remembers something Malena told her when she first got into town, about discovering
new gold, so she buys the story, but she’s not 100% happy with the explanation.
They kiss and Vero says that she can’t wait to work with him at the mine.
Crescencio is very content with Pablo and
especially, with his mother, a simple woman, dedicated to her family and her
home, just like he wants AP to be. And AP and the mom-in-law like each other
just fine, everything is just perfect – this type of bliss can’t last too long.
Mariana is impressed with what Virginia
managed to pull off with Emi. She herself is very happy, she just bought a Vera
Wang dress and she and mom are doing their best to organize the best wedding
party, one that would impress even Salma, the best party thrower in the whole
wide world.
Virginia asks Mariana if Pablo is aware of
all the planning (LOL), because as far as she knows, he thinks they are over.
No puede ser, Mariana rejects this idea, he
was only feeling a bit of pressure, so she gave him some space, but there will
be no annulment, since half the world already knows about the wedding. She
thinks that she should go and talk to him, but Virginia thinks it would be
better if Pablo came – this way Mariana can avoid getting sick, too. Mariana is
afraid that he may have found another woman, but Virginia doesn’t think the pueblo
is the best place for him to find a match.
Emi wants to
stay in the hospital with Virginia and his parents agree to go to a hotel
nearby to rest. After Mariana comes back, Salma goes to see Virginia and Jorge
notices that Emi still looks very worried even if they know that Virginia will
be fine. Emi tells him that something else happened, but he will tell him all
about it another time.
At the bar Ireri is upset because Uspin is
late. When he arrives, with a wilted flower, she gets even more angry, but then
he explains that he had to escort Pablo’s mom to the engagement party, so
that’s why he was late. They kiss and make up, just to be interrupted by Nancy,
who wants to talk to Ireri in private. She is very confused, because the elders
were wrong about her destiny. The hombre rubio is about to marry another woman,
so he can’t be for her. Which is all for the better, since she already likes el
patron. Of course that he is already spoken for, more so than Emi, but that
doesn’t bother Nancy, since he is the man that she luuuvs. Ireri suspects that
maybe Nancy likes Uspin, who is her man. LOL
Now seated at the table, AP is showing her
mother-in-law the portrait that Pablo is taking ages to draw/ paint/ carve with
fresh sandalwood or whatever he is supposed to do. Everybody is in awe at such
talent, when finally something happens to give this geriatric party some life.
Manuel shows up, drunk as a skunk, and
ready for war. Crescencio is shocked, asks him to get out, but Manuel considers
that he has more rights to be there then all the outsiders, who managed to
trick his Abuelo into kicking him out of the house. He sees the portrait and
notices how even the dog has been considered important enough to be part of it.
He takes out his knife and butchers the work of art in the making. Pablo
intervenes, which upsets Manuel even more – because of Pablo everyone turned
their backs on him. Martin comes to stop Manuel, too, while Vero cries in
despair. He manages to disarm Manuel, who now wants to take the fight outside.
Pablo is upset because Manuel managed to destroy
the night for everyone (if by destroy he means spice it up, then OK),
Crescencio disowns his grand-son and Pablo asks him to get out because he is
there to protect AP.
The Padre manages to drag Manuel outside,
where he tells him he’s happy that at least nobody got hurt. He prayed for his
soul, but now he sees that all was for nothing. He can’t even accept him in his
parish anymore. The Padre leaves and Manuel is joined by Julio, who is almost
just as angry. Manuel promises he will put an end to all this, he will kill
Pablo. Julio doesn’t seem as shocked as he should be.
Back in the house, Veronica tries to get
the party started again. They all sit down to eat. AP is grateful that Pablo
helped her, Crescencio is very proud, too. Pierre brought some French wine, so
everything seems back on track, but they are all still shaken.
In a club somewhere Aaron manages to gamble
away all the money that Malena gave him. His brother reprimands him, but he’s
not too worried. They will just have to put in motion their plan: kidnap Malena
and ask Botel for a huge ransom. First he has to find out where Botel gets all
his money from, but he’s determined to take Malena to the beach house and hide
her there until they have enough money to leave the country together. He is
ever so happy that he has his mujer back with him and he’s sure that she won’t
try to run away, because she still thinks that she’s being watched. He no
longer knows where their daughter is because after he was forced to leave the
country to avoid jail, he lost her track.
I’m only half recapping Aaron scenes,
because the whole story gives me nausea. But you get the point – he’s a
bastard!
While Emi is asleep, Daniel comes to smooch
with Virginia. She’s not feeling too good, but she’s happy that things are
going her way. And as soon as she’s out of the hospital, she wants Daniel to
give her a baby.
The engagement is finally over!
Raimunfa feels guilty that she hasn’t
helped Manuel more but her husband comforts her – she did the best she could,
giving him the same love and protection that she gave AP.
Crescencio is very worried for Manuel and
Padrecito doesn’t know what will happen with him, either. They find out that he
asked Raimunda for a job and she still wants to help him, since she believes
that tonight he was out of his mind because of the alcohol.
On the plus side, Crescencio was very
impressed with Pablo’s mom and the fact that she raised her boy all alone and
managed to teach him some good values. After all, not all outsiders are bad.
Back at their hotel, Vero and Martin talk
about the evening, too. They had a good time, in spite of everything. Vero is
particularly happy because they were chosen as god-parents. While Martin thinks
that this is a huge responsibility, she thinks that the problems they’ve gone
through can help them support the new couple as they start their life together.
After all, now they know that sincerity and always speaking with the truth are
the most important things in a relationship.
So, Martin won’t cause her any more
surprises, right?
Martin is about to say something, when
Nancy shows up. She needs to speak to the patron and as much as Vero
opposes the idea, Martin agrees. He takes Nancy aside and asks her what is
going on. She says that the elders were wrong when they looked into her
destiny, the hombre rubio is not for her, the patron is. Martin tries to reject
Nancy, but Veronica is the one truly shocked by such audacity. How dare Nancy talk like
this to her husband and only steps away from her? Nancy insists that there is
no going against destiny and hugs Martin, making Veronica even more furious.Can Nancy just go away? I find her less tolerable every day.
Pablo is happy that his mother managed to
make it to the party. She didn’t want to say anything before, but what
happened with Manuel really scared her – she is worried for her son. Pablo doesn’t
think that Manuel will do anything, but mom asks him to be careful, none the
less. She is happy that he found someone whom he truly loves. Mariana was a
good girl, but she was not meant for him.
Well, tell that to Mariana, who, as soon as
her mom goes to sleep, unaware of what Mariana just found out from Virginia,
wants to call Pablo. But then she decides to go to Mina Escondida as soon as
Virginia gets better.
Nancy keeps yapping about the hombre rubio
come el sol, which Vero guesses to be Emi. She can’t believe that Nancy can
be so cynical, she is talking about taking her husband.
Yes, but Nancy won’t do anything to come
between them, the secrets that they keep will make them part ways.
Secrets? What secrets? Veronica asks Martin
for the tenth time and she looks so desperate that I feel sorry for her.

The PI tells Malena and Botel that he found
her daughter.
Botel and Malena fight and she finally
tells him that Aaron is alive and he has raped her.
Virginia and Daniel kiss as Emi walks in.

How true, Adriana. (Though in your case, I'm hoping for unending bliss with both baby and move to a new home). I had to laugh at your view of Manuel's violent arrival at least spiced up a very boring get-together. Can't disagree with that.
And also agree that Nanciblahblah is becoming increasingly annoying. Worse than Virginia! (Can't believe I said that). Is there a Nanciyaga table by the way? And is everyone drinking maté or something? Gin and tonic definitely preferible.

Well its quite understandable that Malena does not click the daughter game right away. In Telenovelas it is supposed to appear stupid / lack of braincells but in real life there are many Veronica's around. I find it nice that they atleast she checks the claims out. I remember from QPD when the main villian ( Sergio Goyri) reminded the heroes that before getting to conclusions there must be valid DNA tests done. The heroes relied on testimony of a slightly deluded witness ( Ana Bertha Espin) .
I have not seen such a poor but pretty place as La Escondida in a telenovela. Such a shame that the people accompanying it reek of machism and cliches. The only remotely interesting and fresh ones are Pierre and Ireri. I do not know what the writers attempt to do with Nancy , is she there for comic relief?
I feel bad for Emi even if he is a jerk he does not deserve the treatment by Virginia ( I hope Emi gets better in the end and marries Claudia) . I did not fall in love with Martin yet because he has been the true jerk so far. I hope that the town is disinfected regurarly because if Legionella won't get them , Rant-Bola will!

I enjoyed your snarky take on the pedida even thought I have to admit I'm kind of a sucker for stuff like that and I loved the idea of a ceremonial promise before the community. (Yeah, yeah, I can hear you all saying that that's what a wedding if for. But still...)

I believed from comments that Manny was some new Barbie Doll in Town then I realized that it was actually the bane of our existance being recalled LOL ! Manny should turn his hair blonde and join the Pirates.

My votes: Note only character flaws unique to each candidate are used in voting. Lying, cheating, and other frivolous transgressions common to all are not used.
#1:: Aaron Scumbag. Rapist, arsonist, child abandonment, alcohol abuse, gambling
#2:: Vsnake Douchebag. Conception for ulterior motives, drug abuse to fake illness, attempted murder (of Jorge)
#3:: Manual Poopbag. Attempted murder, alcohol abuse, desecration of Holy Sacraments, attempted rape, assault, destruction of property

The elders didn't say to Nanci that Marty is her destiny right? Just that Emi is and needs help? Hope they don't wait until the end for Emi and Nanci to become a couple. I want lots of scenes with Salma and Vsnake being totally uncomfortable! ha

Oh wait.. she excused that behavior by saying that Manuel was "defending" himself. Then she goes and blames Manuel's behavior at the party on the alcohol. UGH!
Funny and foolish of Virginia and Daniel to be talking right in front of Emi. OK, he was a sleep, but for all they know he could have only been half asleep and able to hear what they were saying.
Vero and Marty have the responsibility to help out Pablo and Ana Perla whenever they have a marital problem? Really? The two of them can hardly solve their own problems.
The writers have ruined the Nanci character. They could have made her the voice of reason but instead they have made her obsessed with Marty.
And Ireri was annoying getting on Uspin's case just because he was late. Didn't like how she snubbed the flower he brought her.

I never liked Nancy or her quirky behavior, but now it's getting so bad that even some of you agree with me that she needs to go away.
