Lo Imperdonable #64 (Tel #65) Fri 8/14/15 The Return Of The Veronica Sketch

Vero wants to know what "secrets" Nanci is talking about. Marty lies to save his butt and claims that the "secrets" are the ones about 1. Dim being his brother and 2. that Dim took his life. Vero now understands Nanci's reason for calling her la mala mujer. Nanci must also believe that Vero was the slut who had been with both brothers. Vero is really angry now and orders Nanci not to get near her or her hubby again. Then she turns to Marty and demands that he put Nanci in her place or she won't have her (Vero) around anymore. She then storms off on her crutches.

Marty turns to Nanci and yells at her for going around saying that she loves him. Nanci tries to hug him and tells him that it's true that she does love him. But Marty backs off and tells Nanci that he loves his wife. Nanci says that what she says is true. The patron is still keeping secrets that when they come to light will separate him from Vero.

Meanwhile, Ana Perla and Blanquita chit chat about Ana Perla's upcoming wedding. The wedding will take place before Pablo heads off to The Big Apple. Ana Perla will be accompanying Pablo as his wife on the trip and is worried that she won't be on the level of all those important people that will be at Pablo's exhibition. And Pablo did want the wedding to be AFTER he returns from The Big Apple.... Blanquita thinks Pablo wanted it like that so he could have more money and is sure that Pablo will sell a lot of his crappy paintings at the exhibition. Ana Perla will ask Pablo how she should behave and is excited about traveling with Pablo as his wife.

Over at the hotel, Pablo talks with Lucia his mother. He tells his mother that Mariana is a noble person because she took the breakup so well. Pablo assumed Mariana would want nothing to do with him after the breakup but instead she told him they could continue working on the exhibition. Lucia is glad that Pablo and Mariana ended on such good terms. And she congratulates her son for finding love and success at the same time. But while Pablo is glad to have Ana Perla accompany him to The Big Apple as his wife he's also worried about hurting Mariana when she finds out that he got married only a short time after he broke up with her. The last thing he wants to do is hurt her.

Marty asks Nanci if she's threatening to spill the beans to Vero. But Nanci tells him that she has kept his secret because she loves him and will continue to keep quiet. Marty tells Nanci that he knows he should tell Vero but every time he tries to things get complicated. Nanci tells Marty that true love flows naturally live the river (just like Nanci's love for him). Marty tells Nanci to stop telling him that he loves him especially in front of Vero. Nanci tells Marty that if he were sure of Vero's love for him then he wouldn't doubt telling her the truth. If Vero loved him like Nanci loves him then she'd forgive him for all his lies. But Nanci thinks that Mary doubts that Vero's love will be capable of forgiving.

Vero talks with Mati (who is wearing that horrendous nightgown again!) that Nanci had the audacity to say that she loved Marty. Vero hopes Marty will put Nanci in her place or else it'll be all over between them. Mati advises Vero to stay close to her hubby and to not leave him a free man so another woman can get near him.

Meanwhile, Pierre and Claudia have been chatting on the phone for hours and hours. Luckily, we were spared having to listen to the whole conversation. We catch the tail end of the conversation where Pierre the fool tells Claudia that he misses her and wants to see her. Claudia seeing $$$ tells Pierre that she thought he'd never say that. She asks him where he wants to see her. In Mina Escondida? In Mexico City? Pierre looks like he's not sure.

Marty and Alfredo have their usual chats with Alfredo being the voice of reason advising Marty to do the right thing and Mary being a fool and not listening. Alfredo advises Marty to tell Vero the truth but Marty tells Alfredo that he can't. If Vero finds out the truth she'll NEVER forgive him and he doesn't want to lose her.

The next morning, Vero tells Mati that Mati is right and she shouldn't be so visceral with Marty. But Vero will make it clear to Nanci that Marty is HER (Vero's) man.

Over at the hospital, Virginia tells Daniel that she wants to get out of the hospital to spend time with him. Daniel wants to spend time with her as well. Oh and Virginia was being honest when she told him that she wanted to have his spawn err child. Anyway, Daniel leans in for a smooch with her but she has noticed Emi at the door and gives him an "Emi is behind us" signal. Like a true actress Virginia turns on the waterworks and the "poor little old me" act with the snap of a finger and pretends to weep over the loss of her spawn err child. Daniel pretends to comfort her. He leaves to see other patients and while he walks out the door he tells Emi that Virginia is doing well but needs some comfort. Daniel leaves. Emi tells Virgina that he heard what she told Dr. Daniel.

Uspin and Nanci chat. Uspin wants to know what happened between Nanci and Ireri that made Ireri so mad. But before he can get an answer the two run into the San Telmo's. Nanci leaves. Uspin hands the San Telmo's a letter from Botel where he thanks them for his support and lets them know he has gone back to Mexico City because he can't live without Magdalena.

Botel shows up Magdalena's hotel doorstep. He tells her that he couldn't be far away from her knowing everything that has been happening. She tells him that he can't be there -- he has to leave. Well, he won't leave until she tells him the REAL reason for not wanting him around. There's a knock on the door and Magdalena panics and begs Botel not to open the door. But Botel does open the door assuring Magdalena that she is safe with him. The PI Aldo is at the door.

Emi comforts Virginia. Virginia continues the waterworks and  her "poor little old me" act. Virginia understands that things happen for a reason. Their spawn err child is in heaven and will be happy knowing they are together.

Aldo tells Magdalena and Botel that he has good news. And it's all thanks to the photo that Magdalena gave him. Photo? Where did it come from? Botel asks. Magdalena replies that it is not important. Aldo tells Magdalena that he has found her daughter. Magdalena is impactada.

Vero feels better knowing that Botel is with Magdalena. Marty turns on the sweet talk and tells Vero that he doesn't want them to continue being mad at each other. He then starts to talk about their upcoming projects like the new school and church. Marty mentions that they are partners at the mine. But Vero doesn't feel like his partner because she doesn't know the mine that well. She wants to get to know the mine and let the other miners know the news about her being a partner. Marty promises that he'll take her to the mine. Smoochies.

Botel wants to be sure that Aldo is certain of the news he's about to give Magdalena before he gives her false hope. Aldo is sure and shows Botel the photo. Aldo explains that using the photo they were able to make a new sketch.  Surprise! Surprise! The sketch is of Vero. No puede ser! says Magdalena. It's the same sketch from when Magdalena accidentally described Vero. Aldo tells her that her daughter is Veronica Prado Castelo. Now Magdalena has flashbacks of tender moments she has shared with Vero but fails to recall the telltale "arm rubbing when under stress" clue. Aldo explains the discovery more -- using the school uniform that Veronica is wearing in the photo he was able to go to the school and take a look at the yearbooks. In the yearbook he found a picture of the same girl and the name of the girl. Then using the photo he was able to have a sketch of the girl made to see how the girl would look like now. Magdalena says that she knew Vero was her daughter from the first sketch she had made. Botel realizes what an idiot he was when he dismissed the idea about Vero being Magdalena's daughter. Magdalena says that from the first time she met Vero she knew she was her daughter. She felt something that only a mother would feel for her daughter. Botel suggests they take things slow and Aldo agrees and suggests a DNA test. Magdalena agrees. And thinks that she has already won some points with Vero -- Vero loves her despite not knowing that she's her mother and even told her that she wanted a mother like her.

Marty sweet talks Vero some more to gain her forgiveness. But Vero is still mad about Nanci. Marty explains that he can't change what Nanci does. Eventually Vero caves in (doesn't she always cave?) and the two kiss and makeup. Blanquita and Polo show up (and Polo brings Onix. Phew. Now we know he's OK!) and invites them on picnic with Pablo, Ana Perla, and Lucia. The lovebirds accept the invitation.

Emi enters TMI mode and lets Jorge know that he and Virginia had sex. Jorge tells Emi that well both Virginia and Emi are adults and Emi didn't have to tell him. But Emi tells Jorge that he wouldn't have told him if it hadn't had consequences -- Virginia was preggers and the spawn err child died.

Marty, Vero, Blanquita, and Polo talk about the new school. FF -->

Magdalena feels better knowing Vero had a good upbringing. Botel tells Magdalena they have a lot to talk about. Aldo leaves.  Now Botel wants to know where Magdalena got the photo from. Oh and what happened to her mouth (Magdalena has a cut on her lip). Magdalena tells Botel that Aaron is alive and gave her the photo. Botel is impactado.

The disgusting brothers -- Aaron and Clemente are off to get Magdalena for their kidnapping plans. But their car breaks down and Aaron gets really pissed off while Clemente tries to fix the problem.

Gramps accompanies Pablo, Ana Perla, and Lucia on the picnic. Lucia loves the scenery.  FF -->

Emi blames himself for the loss of his first child. Jorge asks if this means that he'll marry Virginia since Virginia is as conservative (yeah righttttt!) as Salma. Emi tells Jorge that Virginia will only marry him if he loves her for real and not out of obligation. Every day Emi realizes what a great person Virginia is. Jorge is also convinced of the great person Virginia is. Emi doesn't want Salma to know that he and Virginia had sex and Jorge promises to keep his lips sealed. Now Jorge realizes that he did the right thing in asking Vero not to bother Emi anymore. Emi gets pissed at his dad and tells him that he had no right to ask Vero that (and yet isn't that what Emi wanted? Didn't the fool basically tell her the same thing when he talked to her on the phone?!).

Vero and Marty arrive at the picnic. Marty mentions that Vero is going to go the mine. Gramps whines about women not being allowed at the mine. FF -->

Botel knew he should have stayed by Magdalena's side and assumes Magdalena didn't tell him because she didn't think he was capable of protecting her. She tells him that of course she thinks he can protect her and apologizes for keeping quiet. Magdalena admits that she kept quiet because Aaron threatened to kill him. Well, Botel would have killed him first. Magdalena says that Aaron also threatened to not give her info about her daughter. Botel tells Magdalena that she has to quit listening to the nonsense that Aaron tells her because they are all lies. Then why did he give me Vero's photo? Magdalena asks. To confuse you, Botel replies. He tells her they can't continue to listen to Aaron. And they can't be putting Magdalena at risk.

Gramps continues to whine about it being bad luck for a woman to enter the mine FF --> Basically, he believes that if a woman enters the mine then gold won't be found and if the woman insists on entering the mine then bad things happen. Marty and Vero don't believe in the legend.

Magdalena is sure that Veronica is her daughter. But Botel doesn't think they should trust Aaron. They have to be a step forward from him. Magdalena is afraid that Aaron will come and kill them both. Botel comforts her and tells her that she can't continue being afraid. He'll confront Aaron. Botel realizing that Aaron did something to Magdalena and asks her what happened. Magdalena tells Botel that Aaron raped her. Botel looks like he's about to snap and has a "if looks could kill" face (and on The Patio we are all hoping that Botel gives Aaron the rat a good beat down). Botel can't stand the idea that Aaron abused her again. Magdalena didn't want for it to happen. Botel apologizes for his reaction and comforts her telling her that nothing is her fault. He apologizes for having left and Magdalena says that she's the one that told him to leave. Botel feels bad because he felt that something was up and still he left. Magdalena tells Botel that what matters is that they are together now and are close to finding THEIR daughter because he did everything to find her. Only a good father would do that for her daughter. She apologizes for all the times she blamed him for separating her from her daughter. Botel tells her that no woman deserves to be treated like she was treated and that she shouldn't have risked herself like that. Magdalena tells Botel that Aaron is watching her and Botel wants to find Aaron and kill him. But Magdalena doesn't want him to get his hands dirty with a rat like Aaron. But Botel believes that one must get rid of trash (and we all agree on The Patio) like Aaron. Magdalena tells Botel that she will report Aaron to the authorities. What stopped her before was finding her daughter but now that she has found her she wants Aaron to pay.

Gramps continues to whine about women not entering the mine FF --> (and this recapper wants Gramps to just shut up already and get over it!). Gramps leaves in a huff when he doesn't get his way.

Botel talks with Aldo and when he finishes talking to him he tells Magdalena that the authorities are on their way. Magdalena feels safe with Botel by her side. Botel says that Aaron and Clemente have to rot in prison. Magdalena tells Botel that Aaron was coming to get her and Botel hopes that the authorities will be there already when Aaron arrives.

Ana Perla apologizes for Gramps' behavior.  FF --> At the end of the scene, Pablo changes the subject and suggests they enjoy the picnic. He takes a selfie of them all. (Pablo is no Ellen DeGeneres)

The authorities have arrived. Magdalena has to be examined to show proof of the rape but Magdalena showered after the rape. And the clothes she wore are probably in the trash. Still, Magdalena should report the rape. Dr. Del Rio chimes in and says he can testify that Aaron has a domestic abuse past. Cop asks Magdalena if she knows of a place where Aaron could be. Magdalena mentions the bar where Aaron hangs out at. She lets them know that Aaron is coming to get her. The phone rings. It's Aaron. The slime ball called to check in on her and to remind her that she's being watched. He tells her that he's coming to get her soon and to get ready just the way he likes it.

Thanks Mauricio...always enjoy your world-weary, when-will-these-folks-ever-learn? perspective.

Had to laugh at your relief that we didn't have to listen to the ENTIRE Pierre/Claudia conversation. Nope. Just long enough to get a very lingering shot of Claudia's legs and cleavage. Imagine we'll be seeing a lot more of that before this is over.

And great name for our gruesome twosome. The Disgusting Brothers. Sounds like a garage band to me. The actor playing Clemente was a lovable fella in Juan Querendon, so it pains me to see him up to such skullduggery.

And the picnic. Kept wishing Manuel would show up again and disrupt the whole thing. However, I have to agree that the mine is no place for Veronica. If she wants to help out, she can keep the books. These superstitions about women and mines exist elsewhere, and I say leave well enough alone. We've taken enough blame since Genesis, haven't we?

Yep, (Pablo is no Ellen DeGeneres) Don't imagine that selfie is going to turn out well...everyone was too far apart.

But great humor. Great recap. Thanks Mauricio.

Hi Mauricio!

I rather enjoyed the episode and I absolutely LOVED the recap. Thank you! You were so skillful at focusing on the conversations we cared about and omitting the social noise. As usual, you had many sharp turns of phrase and observations. Just to cite a few favorites:

Emi enters TMI mode...

"Emi gets pissed at his dad and tells him that he had no right to ask Vero that (and yet isn't that what Emi wanted? Didn't the fool basically tell her the same thing when he talked to her on the phone?!)"

Thank you for remembering that, Mauricio, even if the writers don't. !!???

It's too bad (though also too funny) that Ginny spotted Emi at the door and she and Dr. F were able to switch gears so quickly. Ah well, we all suspected it was too early for the scales to fall from Emi's eyes.

And the line JudyB already pointed out:
"He takes a selfie of them all. (Pablo is no Ellen DeGeneres)"
Maybe he is! We didn't get to see the photo. :)

Finally, I share your relief about Onix. Maybe he's back from a refresher course at obedience school.

Thanks JudyB and NovelaMaven.

JudyB -- The picnic did need some spicing up. It was rather boring and Gramps going on and on about it being bad luck for a woman to enter the mine didn't help things.

I have heard about the superstitions about women and mines also. And really Vero doesn't need more bad things coming her way, does she?

NovelaMaven -- I enjoyed this episode myself. It was a nice one and easy to recap.

Yes, it was too bad that Virginia noticed Emi. The previews were very misleading, weren't they? They made us think Emi had heard them.

It was nice seeing Onix. I was worried that Mejia had written him out. Polo is always with him so it was strange that lately he wasn't been around in the Polo scenes.

I would like take a look at the selfie to see how it turned out.

I'm glad Magdalena now knows that Veronica is her daughter and that Botel is there to protect her from Disgusting Aaron and Clemente.

Looking forward to seeing what happens now.

Thanks Mauricio for the detailed recap. I enjoyed reading it.

I feeling more sorry for Emi. He deserves much better, he obviously won't get Vero at the end but I hope the writers find him someone who loves him.

I am glad Magdalena told Botel about Aaron.

Thanks Mauricio, as usual you don't disappoint. Awesome recap. I am not surprised the picnic needed spicing up, with all the saccharine flowing from Ana Perla and future mom in law. Virginia's hypocrisy is painful to watch. I actually stopped watching because I couldn't take it anymore. Martin is digging his own grave in that he always misses opportunity to come.clean. How is Nancy innocent again? She sleeps with Emi (unpressured) then aggressively comes after someone else's husband. In our world there is a name for that. Its more shocking coming from someone who is not tarnished by our ways. The more Martin fears and delays telling Veronica the truth the worse the outcome will be. This makes this storyline very predictable. Manual To me is of no use to this storyline. He just gives self entitlement a bad name. Sorry for been so caustic, I hate to see talent wasted.

Hanna

Thanks for another enjoyable excellent and entertaining recap, Mauricio. It was clear as I read it that you enjoyed watching the episode and retelling it for us. This is especially useful for me since the CCs were virtually useless.

While I wasn't particularly worried about Onyx, it was a treat to see him again. Sometimes animals in TNs do simply disappear without explanation never to be seen or heard from again.

It's looking more and more as though Martín has absolutely no intention of ever revealing the full truth to Verónica. Fortunately we have Nanciyaga who almost certainly sooner or later will spill the beans, or better yet, unleash the snails.

For a frail sickly girl in a hospital bed, Virginia certainly does a spectacular job of keeping us entertained.

For such an evil guy, Aarón is clearly no criminal mastermind. What a bumbler.

"...Mariana is a noble person because she took the breakup so well."

Heh heh.

I don't know about the rest of you, I'm now keenly interested in Pablo and Ana Perla and I am eagerly anticipating their upcoming trip to New York. Should be lots of fun.

Carlos

Thank You Mauricio for an entertaining recap. If I may add a little bit:
Please hum along the music to these words...

Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today.
I want to be a part of it, New York, New York.
These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray
Right through the very heart of it, New York, New York.

I wanna wake up, In a city that doesn't sleep.
And find I'm king of the hill, top of the heap.

These little town blues, are melting away.
I'll make a brand new start of it, in old New York.

If I can make it there,
I'll make it anywhere.
It's up to you, New York, New York

OK. Now for the real fun.

Pablo. "Mariana, meet the reason you are no longer my honey, Ana Perla."
"Wifey, meet the woman who you replaced, Mariana."
(Reader now hums along the sound effects of a fourteen cat catfight at 3 AM.) Yikes

Hi Mauricio, hows your weekend going sweetie? Lovin your recap. Grampa is very annoying with his superstitions about women. He doesn't think much of women at all, and he raised crazy manny that way, and he wonders why manny treats women with no respect, he learned it from him. I'm glad pablo is going to take ana perla to new york with him, if they make it off the green hell. And they may not.
Im glad malene knows who her daughter is, BUT, how will ronny feel about her when she
Finds out who momma is, cause she hates her. Thats what she told someone a while back. But shes going by what her lying dog of a father told her. O wow, there is a lot of yummy stuff to look farward to this coming week.

Very entertaining recap, Mauricio.

I have news for everyone: Mejia desisted of the crazy idea of extending this novela. Televisa has confirmed that the finale will air in Mexico on Sunday, October 4th - which means the novela will have exactly 120 episodes plus the two-hour Sunday finale. This means that the novela will end on Univision at the start of November. Cheers!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for the recap Mauricio...It was good as always. LatinainMD, at least Mejia is learning. They finally revealed the Vero is Malena's daughter. There is no way to extend this story without boring or leaving the audience indifferent to Martin and Veronica. La Mentira only had 100 eps.

Also BONUS POINTS for the writing of Botel's reaction to Malena's rape. No blame, just unqualified support. Can our telenovela writers learn? Yes, they can.

LatinainMD thanks for that info. I am enjoying this TN. Will be sad when it ends. I like Vero and Martin and will miss them when it ends. I also agree that extending the story will make it boring.

I also hope all the secrets are revealed not just the revenge, Virginia secrets but also Vero to be aware of Botel and Magdalena knowing about the revenge, Martin lying about the money and also Manuel starting the fire.

I hope the ending isn't rushed, loving the way the story is going so far. I love the cast.

Thank you, Mauricio, for another stellar recap. And I especially liked the parts you chose to FF through - my sentiments exactly!

JudyB, did I already mention how great it is to watch another tn with you? It's been a long time, amiga. Ditto about the picnic - when is Manuel when you need him? Sure, gramps the grump did enough to spoil the mood with his mine talk, but I tend to agree with him and the rest of you - why would Vero even want to set foot in such a dangerous place? Anvil, anyone?

Duchess - about Emi's endgame - why, it can only be Nancy, his destiny, right (eye roll). I'm rather looking forward to all those Prado Castello fancy parties where Salma would have to introduce Nancy as her daughter-in-law. Cab you picture it:

Salma: And, Senator, this is my son's wife, Nancyaga
Senator: How do you do?
Nancy: Nancyaga is happy to meet you, hombre moreno con bigote. I can see a shadow over your head, the elders warned me last night that I need to give you this potion to drink from (hands him a boiling cup of greeny stuff) - Nancyaga thinks this will improve your eyes and help you see that your wife has been unfaithful.
Salma: Senator, have you seen the roses in my garden? (takes his arm in a hurry and pushes him away)

Latina - pfiu! At least Mejia showed an ounce of common sense, even he can see that the story is not going great. And everyone must be looking forward to the tn replacing this - Pasion and Poder with Jorge Salinas and Fernando Colunga (!!!!) - it cannot get better than this.

Nina - I'm relieved that Malena found out the truth about Vero and that Botel knows about Aaron. Now let's hope that the police catches him and he's not able to escape and that Vero allows Malena to explain her how things went down when she was a child. Of course she will have some trouble dealing with this, but she needs to learn to be a forgiving person - God knows she's going to need it.

Thank you, Mauricio, for a nicely composed translation. You are so good at it and without it I would be mired in a dither of frustration.

I was so happy to see that Magdalena finally broke through and told Botel what happened to her and that the police arrived before Aaron - hopefully, he will soon crawl back under his rock in a dark jail cell.

And, also hopefully, Emiliano will know the truth about Virginia. Marty and Vero are becoming woefully tiresome. And Nanciyaga???? She sure is a wild child but doubt if she will betray Marty unless she feels truly crossed. Although I can't imagine what it will take now that Marty has told her he loves Vero and to stay away. She's quite mad!

Thank you very much Adriana for the Pasion y Poder info. That is exciting, knowing that my two favorite TN actors will be in a TN together!!!! Wow! They are so good! And Fernando Colunga playing a villain.....fun to see. Looking forward to that big time!

Gale

Thank you, Mauricio. Stellar recap, as always.

I hated Sergio Sendel's characters in LQLVMR and Destilando Amor. I loved his portrayal of them. He is one awesome bad guy and I love to hate him. I absolutely can't stand the wimpy fool he is playing here. I can only hope that he turns reallllly dark once he finds out that Virginia has been playing him. I hope he does something really bad to her, kidnaps Veronica and teaches his parents a lesson about trusting the wrong people. Maybe he can also turn psycho and delusional and convince himself that Veronica is actually really in love with HIM and not Martin. And I hope he knocks Horrible Martin down a few pegs, challenges him to a duel and beats his A$$ !!!

Mauricio---A great recap as always. You NEVER disappoint. Your line that registered with me was---Botel believes that one must get rid of the trash.

The police are on their way and the patio peeps are hoping to see Aaron sitting in a jail soon. The advances fooled us on Friday with Emi looking in on V-snake and Doctor F's kiss that never happened. If the advances are right this time, It looks like the evil Aaron gets away. I guess that we will know Monday.

NovelaMaven---Maybe Onix is back from a refresher course at obedience school. That could be. The last time that we saw him, he was pretty frisky.

Can't wait for the wedding. I have liked Pablo and Ana Perla from day one. I know that others didn't but I did. I am looking forward to seeing Ana Perla in New York. I am not looking forward to seeing Mariana and the trouble that she will bring.

Question--Will simple country girl be able to handle the highly educated city woman?

Adriana Noel---Even Mejia can see that the story isn't going great and everyone must be looking forward to the tn replacing this.---The gringo will have to side with the Duchess. I'm enjoying Lo Imperdonable and am not anxious to see it end.

Must see tv Monday night---Will Aaron be caught and be punished for his crimes or will he break away and run free to continue on with his evil?
the gringo

I loved it when Botel said "one must get rid of the trash", that should involve Virginia, and some other people on there that I can't remember the names right now. O yeah, aaron and his slimmy bro Clemente.

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments.

Duchess,

I'm thinking that in the end Emi and Nanci will end up together. The elders said they were destined to be together and I believe them.

I have always been told that you should listen to your elders. :)

Hanna,

Yes, Marty is digging his own grave. He is only making things worse by continuing to keep quiet. It will only make things worse if Vero finds out from someone else or if she finds out on her own. I'm hoping the truth comes out soon. Looking forward to seeing what happens once the truth comes out.

Nanci is a huge disappointment. She's definitely not innocent. She's keeping the secret of who the real "mala mujer" is for her own selfish reasons.

Carlos,

The CC's were terrible on Firday night. I tried using them while watching the episode but ended up turning them off because they were lagging behind.

You're right. It doesn't look like Marty is ever going to tell Vero the truth. She'll have to find out on her own or from someone else it seems.

I agree. The Pablo/Ana Perla/Mariana triangle just got interesting. I am also looking forward to seeing what happens with them.

Anon 4:24,

Great song. Thanks!

YES! It should be fun once Mariana and Ana Perla meet. Looking forward to it.

Nina,

My weekend has been really nice. Spending time with my family. Thanks for asking.

I agree. There are a lot of things to look forward to this coming week.

Will Magdalena tell Vero the truth? Will they have a DNA test done? What will happen to Aaron now that the cops are after him? etc.

LatinaInMD,

Thanks so much for the info on the when the finale will be in Mexico. Keeping it at 120 episodes plus the 2 hour finale sounds good to me. It's a good length.

JdesdeNYC,

Yes. I also liked Botel's reaction to finding out about Magdalena's rape.

I also liked how Magdalena decided to report the rape.

Duchess,

I hope it wraps up nicely and isn't rushed as well. I also hope that all the secrets are revealed at the end and that we aren't left with any loose ends.

Adriana Noel,

Salma: And, Senator, this is my son's wife, Nancyaga
Senator: How do you do?
Nancy: Nancyaga is happy to meet you, hombre moreno con bigote. I can see a shadow over your head, the elders warned me last night that I need to give you this potion to drink from (hands him a boiling cup of greeny stuff) - Nancyaga thinks this will improve your eyes and help you see that your wife has been unfaithful.
Salma: Senator, have you seen the roses in my garden? (takes his arm in a hurry and pushes him away)

I would LOVE to see this happen. I can't wait until Salma meets Nanci. It should be fun.

Thanks for the info on the next novela. I'm looking forward to it also.

Gale,

I'm glad that Magdalena told Botel everything too and that she is now safe and free from Aaron.

Anon 4:35,

I have always seen Sergio Sendel playing a villain that I find it strange to see him playing such a fool and a wimp in this novela.

gringo,

I loved Botel's line that one must get rid of the trash. It was one that registered with me too and that's why I included it in the recap.

I am also looking forward to seeing Ana Perla in New York. Although I am kind of surprised that Gramps would allow her to travel far away from home.

Nina,

I loved it when Botel said "one must get rid of the trash", that should involve Virginia, and some other people on there that I can't remember the names right now. O yeah, aaron and his slimmy bro Clemente.

It would also include Manuel.

@Gringo and @Duchess -

Allow me to clarify. I'm with you both. I LOVE watching "Lo Imperdonable", or at least Vero and Martin's story as interpreted by Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez. In my over 30 years of watching novelas, this is one of the best lead couples I have ever seen. In fact, I personally prefer their interpretations of both characters over those of either Kate Del Castillo/Guy Ecker or Silvia Navarro/Juan Soler, primarily because neither Guy Ecker nor Juan Soler do anything for me in those roles or any other roles. That's my own personal preference. I'm not interested in getting into any debate with anyone about how much better or worse those other versions were, because I'm not going to convince them and they are not going to convince me, so debating it is pointless. I just want to make those of you who like Vero and Martin aware that I am sitting firmly at the Vero and Martin table along with you.

I do want to say that one reason I have hardly commented here, despite being on the recap team and despite liking the lead story in this novela, is that I recall reading elsewhere on Caray Caray that one of the rules here is that we are not supposed to discuss details of previous versions, at least as those details relate to future episodes not yet broadcast on Univision. In my view, that rule has been broken several times in recent weeks with certain comments that, at the very least, contained hints about the plot and pacing (in those previous versions) of parts of the main storyline that correspondent to Lo Imperdonable episodes that have not yet been broadcast on Univision. I was tempted to respond to those comments, but in order to do so I too would have broken that rule, so I chose not to say anything.

What I do want to say is that the main reason that I'm glad that Lo Imperdonable will not be extended beyond 120 episodes is that despite (or perhaps because of) my love of Vero and Martin as interpreted by Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez, I agree with the general consensus that Mejia is a terrible producer who could have done so much more with his two amazing leads if only he had not been so obsessed with forcing us to watch the Ana Perla and Pablo storyline, based on a written novela that had never once before been produced for TV for obvious reasons - because it is boring and sleep-inducing. If Mejia had extended the novela, he surely would have continued overemphaszing AP and P's storyline, so I'm glad that it will end at 120 episodes.

LatinainMD, re: your second paragraph, you are correct. Discussion of things that have not yet happened are spoilers and need to be deleted. That is the responsibility of the recappers on the team. My email address is attached to my profile. If you or another member of the team needs something deleted, I can assist with that, but since I'm not familiar with the show or the previous versions, I really have no idea what may or may not be a spoiler.

LatinaInMD I agree Vero and Martin are a very good lead couple. I love their chemistry!!

For Pablo and AP most times I just fast forward their scenes. Not interested at all in their storyline.

Mauricio, Thanks for the wonderful recap. I always enjoy your meticulous and comprehensive work which is at the same time enjoyable and fun.

I am afraid Aaron, even if caught, will be allowed out of jail very quickly. There were too many questions by the police about clothes worn during the rape and semen traces that cannot be produced as evidence. Unless the point was to produce a PSA for rape victims?

I was impressed with Pablo’s recognition that his quick engagement to Ana Perla after his long engagement to Mariana might be an extra wound to Mariana after being “dumped”. Too bad he doesn’t realize that Mariana doesn’t even believe they have broken up. I haven’t found the Pablo and Ana Perla story boring except when Pablo was pursuing Ana Perla before he had “broken up” with Mariana.

I have not been a Nanciyaga fan at all, but I think a lot of people have been too harsh on her these past couple of episodes. Nanciyaga comes to Ireri, obviously very upset, wishing to talk with her. Nanciyaga says her heart belongs to one who is committed to another and Ireri immediately flies off the handle and assumes it’s Uspin. Come on…..this is the woman that saved you from being raped by Manuel. How about being a better friend and talking to her for a minute or two?

Also, Nanciyaga comes to Martín, extremely agitated (more than usual) and tries to tell him about how they could be together. Her whole world is upside down. She thinks the elders were wrong—a pretty big deal in her mind—and this opens the door again to her and Martín being together. Again, instead of anyone taking the time to talk to her, she is yelled at and shouted down. You know she may have a different mindset and perspective as she comes from another culture. And though I am not convinced of Nanciyaga’s medical skills, Martín and Vero believe she saved their own life and that of their spouse. So come on…..how about sitting down and talking to her for a minute or two?

NovelaMaven, Eli Perez, LatinaInMD (welcome back), and Adriana Noel: sorry I wasn’t able to comment this week. Thanks to each of you for your recaps.

Well, anyway—this past week was fun and the story moved along nicely. Pablo and AP are engaged, Botel knows about Aaron, Magdalena knows Veronica is her daughter. Now onto this week!

Barbara

LatinaInMD,

I am enjoying "Lo Imperdonable" as well and will miss it once it ends. It's the only novela I have been keeping up with. I like Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez as the leading couple. Both are doing a good with the characters they have been given. I also like the rest of the cast and think everyone is doing a good job with their roles.

LatinaInMD and Diva,

I didn't see the comments as spoilers more like of a comparison to the previous versions. But if you and others think they are spoilers then those comments will have to be removed since this a spoiler free blog. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Duchess,

Martin and Vero do have good chemistry. I like Ivan Sanchez and Ana Brenda as a couple.

Barbara,

This week was fun. I am looking forward to seeing what will happen this week.

Re discussion of previous versions of the story:

If you read Jane's post reiterating the rules for this blog –

http://caraycaray.blogspot.com/2015/06/all-must-read-bloggers-and-visitors.html

– you'll see that SPOILERS are not permitted. She says nothing about discussions of previous versions of the story.

I think we can distinguish between references to previous versions and true spoilers. Comparisons can be fun. Those who find them tedious can simply opt not to read them.

Of course we want this blog to be a civil space where people respect one another. What we don't want are so many rules that we start driving away our most cherished commenters and recappers.

You are correct, NovelaMaven, there is not a blogwide rule about discussions of previous versions in general. LatinainMD was talking about comparisons of events that haven't happened in the current story yet. We probably need some clarification on that.

Good. Then let's clarify:

It's fine to discuss previous versions of the story as long as you are careful not to include events that have not yet occurred in the present version.

To add to the above:

In the case of this story, it is obvious to everyone that the revelation of Martin's secret is central to the plot. It is almost impossible to say anything without referring to it or speculating about it.

NovelaMaven and Diva,

Thanks for clearing that up.

You guys are good at clearing things up, thank you for that. Im just excited about whats coming. I love surprises, and every time I read a recap from you guys I always get surprised. You're so good at what you do, you guys are golden.

@LaDiva - thank you for jumping in. You are correct. My issue was not with comparisons to previous versions, to the extent those comparisons related to events in Lo Imperdonable that we have already seen on Univision.

@NovelaMaven - thanks for clarifying Jane's description of the no spoilers rule with the statement that "It's fine to discuss previous versions of the story as long as you are careful not to include events that have not yet occurred in the present version." Forgive me for pressing the issue, but I have a further question about this: as it relates to the current slate of novelas being recapped here, including Lo Imperdonable, I have read restatements of the "no spoilers" rule in several feeds that clarified that "no spoilers" also means NOT saying anything that even HINTS at future plot developments, not even GENERAL comments like "wait until you see how much better the plot will be in a few days or weeks" or anything to that effect. Shouldn't that rule also apply as it relates to comparisons to previous versions? I mean, some of those comparisons go out of their way to say "how much more was happening" at this juncture in those previous versions. Yes, it is a general statement, but how is that any different than saying "wait until you see how much more will happen a few days or weeks from now" on Lo Imperdonable? You see my issue with the way in which the comparisons are being made?

did you guys notice that they changed teo? that's not the same guy that was there when it first started.

LatinaInMd,

I don't consider the "Wait until you see how much better the plot will be in a few days/weeks" to be a spoiler. It gives NOTHING away. It just encourages the flagging viewer to hang tight.

Some people (myself included) really like these kinds of comments. Some people don't. But their dislike doesn't make the comment a spoiler, nor does it turn automatically into yet another RULE. You might be surprised to learn that there are some types of comments that I find irritating, but I'm not going to demand that they be banned.

Jane's rules for CarayCaray are exquisitely simple:

Be kind.
Be respectful.
No spoilers.
No politics.

Do you see anything there about general "Hang in there – it gets better" comments? I don't.

So your concern is a non-issue. References to previous versions as well as "Hang in there – it gets better" comments are fine as long as they don't give away what happens next in the story.

Good Lord, I just wrote a long comment here and then it got eaten. It boiled down, though, to this: be nice to each other. Future events as they occurred in other versions of a telenovela are spoilers. Spoilers-disguised-as-speculation are spoilers. "Things get better next week" is a spoiler. "Remember that in the end the good guys will always win" is not a spoiler. Everybody calm down and stop with the nit picking. This is not a life or death here, it's a tv show. Cool your jets.
