Not much happened tonight. Glad they finally changed clothes - but what the heck was Virginia wearing? That red cape/sliced up blazer thing was so distracting and ugly!

It seems as though a couple of significant things did happen. Did Jorge say he's okay with a divorce? Did he reduce Salma and Virginia's allowance? Why do they look so glum and what was the reference to Veronica while they were all in his office. Why is Virginia sitting in on their board meeting? What were Martin's comments at the end?

Did Julio propose to AP? I mean it's fine to be in love and loyal to Pablo, but not first and foremost if her life's in danger. That girl needs some counseling - Manny's out buying herbs that might cause her to miscarry?!!!

Please fill in. Looked like Veronica's wheels are turning with the broken pieces found. How will Mati communicate her fear of being around Virginia?

Jorge told Virginia she wouldn't inherit one dime from him unless she agreed to work at Prado Castelo. He was not about to give her his hard earned bucks. Salma had a sad & claimed Virginia was too sick to work. Emi was like no she's not. Virginia agreed to go to work and told Salma she could use it as a way to be close to Emi..

Jorge told Salma that after her divorce outburst that disrespected him he was not about to let her have the house. The house is for Emiliano, his wife and their children. So if Salma wants to get to stepping he'll set her & Virginia up elsewhere but the house she will not be getting. He also told her he was seeing her face he had never seen before. Salma had a sad.

When they got to Prado Castelo, Virginia asked if she'd be working with Jorge & Emi and Jorge said no, she'd be working elsewhere. When Virginia asked who her new (male) boss would be, Jorge told her that her new boss wasn't a he, but a she and told her she'd be reporting to Veronica from now on. Salma had a sad.

Virginia objected but Jorge said thems the terms, take it or leave it. Veronica wasn't happy about it either but agreed to train Virginia. So Virginia is Veronica's assistant. Later on, Veronica asked Jorge if she thought the situation would work & he said no, but Virginia wasn't getting a free ride.

So the reason why Virginia was in the boardroom: she's Veronica's assistant.

Other happenings:

Manny locked Blanquita & Ana Perla up; Ana Perla cried; Blanquita busted out of jail.

Manny forced Ana Perla to write a Dear Pablo letter & Julio delivered it.

Manny went to the doctor to get him to give AP an abortion. The doctor told him to scram.

Manny bought abortion herbs at the market.

Pablo got a job at the market slinging ribs.

Ireri's dad had a funeral.

Matilde can't talk but can communicate.

The maid brought Veronica some mysterious broken pieces she found while sweeping up; Veronica is now thinking Matilde's accident is no accident.

 

Anon7, I loved this mini-recap. It's pithy and informative at the same time. I watched "La Mentira" and from what I remember I think it's a bad idea to have Ginny involved in the business, especially as Vero's assistant because she can do a lot of shenanigans as an assistant that will implicate Vero.

The get-to-stepping references made me giggle and reminded me of the "Martin" show.

If the house is for Emi and his wife and family; and we know Emi and Nanciyaga are endgame because Nanciyaga's elders said so, I can't imagine Nanci living in such a gran house unless the writers plan on 'domesticating' her. I would love to see Ginny's face as Nanci comes gliding in a fancy dress down the Prado Castelo mansion stairs with a huge rock on her finger from Emi. Talk about comeuppance, especially since Ginny has always called Nanci "that Indian" which is pretty close to calling her the n-word if she were black. The proper word to call native peoples in Mexico and most of Latin America is "indigeno/a".

Anon7, good job on the mini-cap! Thanks so much. Here are a couple of not very important details to add:

Nicolás, looking a bit like a bridegroom that has fallen off someone's cake, notices Salma's 'sad' and invites her out to coffee. She accepts. ooh la la!

Marty is reluctant to sign the contract to sell La Morenita's gold to Jorge because he fears the new project will mean that Emi and Vero will be working closely together. Botel is able to talk him into agreement, but he has one condition: Marty himself must form part of the work team (with Emi and Vero). They are all taking the show On the Road to Mina Escondida.

Virginia calls Dr. F for help and sympathy. He hangs up on her.

Magdalena will take care of Matilde while the others are in Mina Escondida. Matilde manages to communicate her fear of being taken back to the Prado Castelo house. Magdalena promises she will take her to her own home (though I don't know what that means: the Hotel Conquistador? She doesn't mean the house in Mina Escondida, right?)

Jorge told Salma that he was OK with divorce. He feels that if someone is capable of putting a condition on being married to the other person than there is no love there or the love is dying. (I think he is right and I was glad when he told Salma this.)

Julio did propose to AP. I can't remember all that he said right now but I do remember that he promised to respect her and not to force her to do anything that she didn't want if they do get married. She told him that she only loves Pablo.

A little but more about the herbs. Yes they are to cause AP to miscarry. Manny has to mix them in a tea and have her drink it each day and they will get the job done.

Thank you everyone, for adding pieces to the puzzle. Very exciting stuff. I am really glad that Magdalena will take care of Mati, preferably in Mina Escondida so she will be close to Veronica and away from Virginia. Also glad that Emi, Veronica and Marty are going back to Mina E. However, this will involve a big struggle with the three. I hope that Nanciyaga appears very soon. So does Virginia tag along as Vero's asst.?

So Julio did ask AP to marry him. She may only love Pablo, but is she thinking about her baby? What does she think will change re Pablo-Manny situation to enable her to marry Pablo? Actually, could be she's not thinking??? Julio truly loves her and she and her baby would be safe with him and away from the OG and Manny we hope. I guess that's the key. Where could Julio find work - in the mine? Don't think the terrible twos would like her marrying Julio. So AP get up on your high horse and make a clear and sensible decision. Please!!!

So far Julio has not protected AP much. I understand Manny and OG are his patrones but still to just stand there when a pregnant woman is being slapped around? Anyway, I have a feeling they would do the same even in Julio's home. So the crazy show move on to ME, oy! Thanks for mini recap.

Nanci in the Prado Castelo mansion? Yes I could go for that. Besides, I don't think that V-snake will be around to complain about it. Sorry Carlos.

Romy - I totally agree with you about Julio. As much as he says he will protect AP, he hasn't been doing it, so all his talk about taking caring of her is a bunch of crap imo. I believe he wants her because he always has so everything he's doing is for himself.

Haven't only seen part of this, but having Virginia as Veronica's personal assistant is a horrid idea--and punishment for Veronica rather than Virginia. Oh well....the plot sickens. Hope those herbs don't do too much damage...I found it odd that the man selling the herbs was wearing a rather prominent cross. Odd juxtaposition of outlooks.

I have to agree with those of you that think it is a bad idea to have Ginny as Vero's assistant. She can cause a lot of damage. Bad move Jorge.

Nanciyaga as "la senora" of the Prado/Castelo mansion. Wouldn't that be a hoot. I would love to see the look on Ginny's face.
