Lo Imperdonable #88 Thu 9/17/15 So many couples and nobody's happy
She almost faints and he becomes worried for her health. As Blanquita comes back from her own romantic rendez-vous, AP keeps rejecting Pablo, saying that being with him would threaten his life. Again he doesn’t get a thing. AP manages to spell it out for him that she’s pregnant, but she does it without wanting to, which I think is quite an accomplishment - these two are so saccharine, they make my teeth hurt.
Anyway, when she says that there is something that will keep them close forever, he guesses that she’s pregnant and he’s overjoyed. Just then they hear Raymunda’s screams from the living-room, so the girls leave to see what’s going on. Pablo doesn’t want to leave AP there, but she rejects him one more time and off she goes. Julio arrives and stops Pablo from following, explaining that this is not a good moment for the family and he better go. Run, P, run for your sanity!
On his way home, he’s very happy, making plans to work hard, earn money and save AP from her golden poisonous cage.
In the meantime Raymunda is crying a river, while Manny is arguing with Gramps on the phone – the old grump wants the entire family back in Mina Escondida the next day – and he needs Manny to take care of the mine, because the others just found gold and Gramps is green with envy.
Raymunda wants to leave, too, so she gets into a big fight with Blanquita, who is not yet ready to say good-bye to her
Just when I think that things might still work out for this latest struggling couple, Joaquin gets a visit from the teacher, back home, in Mina Escondida. He is desperate because he doesn’t have enough money to go to the city and she becomes a crying mess when she finds out what the pueblo is talking about them. She only wanted a friend, she thought that a quiet, peaceful place like Mina Escondida would be just what she needed after all her past suffering (poor fool, have you met Gramps? Or Marty? Or Nancyaga??)
Joaquin tries to comfort her with a hug, just in time for Gramps to barge in and misunderstand the whole situation. The whole thing ends with a lot of screaming, Joaquin barely manages to say that he won’t give up on his family before Gramps practically orders him out of the pueblo. Oh, Jo, I hope you’re stronger than this…
At the company, Virginia is up to no good, as usual. Daniel keeps pushing her for the money, but she manages to convince him to give her some time to gather what he asked for. He agrees, as long as Virginia obeys his orders from now on. She could care less about his threats, she’s pretty sure that she’ll find a way to get rid of him and come out on top, as she always does.
Indeed, moments later, Veronica’s client calls and Virginia manages to score a dinner invitation from him, by saying that she’s afraid that Vero is taking advantage of him. When she meets him at night (after telling Salma that she doesn’t have time to comfort her because Jorge and Vero are making her work around the clock), she tells him that Vero is dishonest and a liar in general, so he shouldn’t trust her. The guy seems reluctant to believe everything that he hears but agrees to pay Virginia money in exchange of any kind of information that she can gather about dirty dealings that Vero has planned against him.
Jorge hires a private investigator to dig into Salma’s past. While he visits with Maty at the hospital (thanking her for helping him raise the kids), he remembers better days with Salma, like when he proposed to her years ago (when he didn’t look a day younger, might I add).
At the hospital, Vero is very grateful for Marty’s help with her nana, but once again she makes it clear that a hug is as far as she’s willing to go. Emi thanks him, too, but that doesn’t mean that they stop being rivals.
Both guys take turns trying to woo Veronica – Emi is first in line – he spoon-feeds her (!!!) in the cafeteria, with Marty looking on, fuming.
Magda asks Maty to help her get closer to Veronica. They somehow manage to communicate and later on Vero confesses to Maty that she needs her advice now more than ever and that she realized that Magda is a very good woman.
Later Vero asks Magda to keep an eye on Maty while she is in Mina Escondida, because she fears for her life. Also, she promises that she will make time for the two of them when she’s back.
Not the same can be said about Emi, though. Vero tells him that she finally realized what is keeping her away from Marty (her love equals hate rant, I guess), but that doesn’t mean that she will jump all over Emi, like he’s ready to believe. No, she needs to carry on living without Marty, and she needs alone time to deal with things – great, Emi will wait as long as it takes… yawn.
Vero and Emi arrive home and find all the main floor of the mansion filled with roses. Vero doesn’t look happy.

Really, the only interesting thing that happened was that Mati was able to communicate to Vero that Virginia pushed her down the stairs. Let's see what happens now.
"he remembers better days with Salma, like when he proposed to her years ago (when he didn’t look a day younger, might I add)."
That's so true. He looked exactly the same as he does now. So did Salma. Couldn't they have gotten actors to play their younger versions? The ring in a champagne glass would have been better than the ring on the pillow.
I too hope that Joaquin will be stronger and fight for his family. Raymunda does earn points for not poisoning little Polo's mind against his dad.
Well, even though AP didn't actually tell Pablo that she was preggers, good that he figured it out. Let's see what he does know. Things aren't looking good since AP is about to head back home.
We had the same old same old with Vero and Marty. He begs, she rejects. Is he planning on curing Vero's wounds with gifts?
Im so glad that AP told pablo shes pregnant.
I wish she'd use some brains cells and think,
"Since when does manny offer to fix me any-
Thing?' Now the crazy family down stairs.
When is rayray going to use all of her brain cells and tell ye ol goat to step back out of her marriage business? Yalls guess is as good as mine.
Vero and marty show, well he may have to back off let her breath, I wish Emi would. Its
Like he's anoying her. well he's anoying me.
Why didn't gorge investigate before he married selma? He says to himself. He does
Look the same as he did 30 years ago, hmm.
The magic of tv,:'( Granpy goat is beside himself with the "Im the king of the world" power trip.
Vsnake is havin herself a good ol time lying
Her a$$ off. Don't she know it'll come back to bite her in the a$$, she don't care.
More dtama tonite. Yall stay dry out three, at least those of you in north florida.
I don't believe a word coming out of that teacher's mouth. She wasn't looking for a friend. She decided to go after him the minute she saw Joaquin.
Marty is stalker crazy! When he followed her into the bathroom, I yelled at my screen "Dude, let the girl have a chance to breathe!" And then he kept forcefully touching her. Though I do agree with Ginny that Vero is giving him mixed messages. But you know who didn't give him a mixed message? The nurse that told him to get out of the bathroom! Ha
All of those flowers at her house just adds to his being a dangerous stalker. I would be worried he would kidnap me and force himself on me. I say it again, he is suffocating her and I find it extremely hard to watch.
AP and Pablo, yawn.
The client Ginny met up with is the same actor that played her gay, cheating husband in AC. It was a small part, only a few episodes.
Could the "El" that Dr. Dan and Ginny were discussing be Nicolas? After he told Salma to follow her heart and support Ginny I started to have doubts about his true intentions, I mean other than seducing Salma.
"Raymunda is quite the annoying drama queen, but at least she doesn’t badmouth Joaquin in front of Polo"
Okay, we'll grant her that. But man oh man, is she annoying!
So now the client is Italian – does that mean we don't get to wear our berets in Paris? Drat! (I wonder if the guy was really taken in by Ginny or if he was just giving her enough rope...)

Yes! I was laughing like a crazy person all through that scene. Even after the nurses came in and threatened to call security, those fools still kept talking.
So there's Verónica in between Crazy Desperate Stalker Marty and Quasi-Incestuous Pushy Emi. Me, I'd go back to Switzerland – and I'd take my nana with me!
"Well, nobody ever accused Pablo of being smart…"
Indeed, nor is ever likely to.
When Martín told Alfredo that he had figured out the way to win back Verónica, I thought that he must had hit upon some brilliant innovative plan. Tons of roses? That's it? She may not be annoyed but I sure am. That's the best he could come up with? He couldn't find another pony?
I'd really like for Verónica to seriously consider Emiliano. I realize that is not a popular idea, but it would sure make Martín squirm.
Verónica's coyness with Magdalena is starting to wear thin. She's offered to take care of Matilde for goodness sake. That's no minor thing. What would it take for her to call her mama? I suppose it gives us a tearful emotional scene to anticipate but I think that Verónica is being selfish and petty.
Crescencio may not be very lovable right now but I can certainly see why he has his doubts about Joaquín and Gaby. Why doesn't she find herself a few lady friends?
I wish that Virginia would step up her game. I'm beginning to lose patience. I can't see any meaningful results coming from this latest project.
By the way, when was the last time that we saw Onyx?
Carlos
I don't know how Mati communicated? I didn't get anything out of those scenes. Mati didn't say a single word, just made some sounds and I didn't hear Vero mention Virginia's name at all but Vero was putting two and two together. So how was this great communication miracle made?
Yesterday LoriLoo made mention of two? entrances into Ana Perla's room. I didn't catch that but one thing that really stood out to me last night was when Veronica went into the ladies room. If you watch that part again (although not important) you
will see Vero wearing a bright white blouse but when you see the reflection in the mirror behind her, the blouse or top is an off white, much darker color. I know lighting and all that but the two colors were way off. They didn't come close to matching.
I'm ready to reach through the tv screen and strangle Manny if he gives Ana Perla any more of that baby killing tea. I now cringe every time Manny comes on the screen. I keep thinking that it will be time for tea at any minute. When is he going to get that fatal knife wound?
Looks like Joaquin is in for a couple of rough episodes.
I know that nobody cares but I think that Ramon is a hoot. If the story moves back to Mina Escondita and the Pueblo Nuevo I can't wait to watch Ramon put another move on Claudia. I wonder what will happen at the cantina when Claudia comes out all dressed up for her show. No doubt she will drive Ramon half out of his mind.
Wow! In the advances Vero shows up with a divorce lawyer. There is no way that Crazy Marty will agree to a divorce. Oh well, this is all leading up to must see tv.

"I don't know how Mati communicated? I didn't get anything out of those scenes."
Maybe because she was grunting in Spanish.
Carlos
Carlos, I can't see Vero calling Mags "mama" at this point but a more formal "mother" would do.
And I too am becoming team Emi, even with the slightly incestuous vibe. He has been right about Marty from the moment he went after Vero. And who knows Vero the best? The man who grew up with her and loves her. Emi has his problems but he and Vero will always be family, one way or the other.
Carlos I disagree, I can see Ginny destroying the PC company and marrying the rich client. She wants money and revenge and is in a perfect place to do both.
You wrote that you want Virginia to step up her game---just wait till she torpedo's
the new jewelry contract. There will be hell to pay for that move. There's plenty of action coming just around the corner.
And lets not count Aaron out just yet. A jail break maybe?

Vero was suspicious of Virginia since she found the broken pieces from Virginia's iPad holder near the stairs. Then last night she asked Mati if Virginia had pushed her and Mati was able to communicate with her hand squeezing one for yes and two for no. She squeezed once for yes which confirmed that Virginia had pushed Mati.
I haven't been able to comment, but have to say I am extremely turned off by Martins grabbing, pulling, and shoving of Veronica. He has manhandled her throughout the story, usually forcing his affections on her when she was angry with him. Even though she has told him to stay away, he continues to grab her, touch her and otherwise caress her. She has told him in the past to keep his hands off her, but seems to have accepted that he isn't going to. ( Of course, part of her seems to want him to keep trying.) I don't find this over the top 'macho' behavior attractive, but sick and offensive.
marea primavera
Thank you Adrana for being so explicit and writing such a good recap. I didn't watch last night so am so happy that you got it all down.
With regard to Marty, he's overbearing and obsessive, not attractive traits and filling a room with roses is fine for a funeral, but otherwise I think it's awfully vulgar and meaningless waste. A horse as a gift would have been more appropriate and a reminder of how they met.
I'm not thrilled about the way they are all being thrown together....there's just too much conflict and it is suffocating, as someone else observed. It's also harder to stay focused on each turn of events. At least for me. It's like at the end the producer realized he was running out of time and bunched all of the significant revelations together, whereas, there were weeks of dreary nothing really happening. A more even pace please.
Gale
So Vero is really serious about divorcing Martin?!!! I didnt think it would come to that.
I agree with Gale about the pace and I think there were some storylines that could have been explored in depth
Sweepin the same section of the sidewalk?
And she wears the same green dress. She looks sweet and humble tho, and I like that color Green.
What was that thingamagig on mati's head?
Reminds me of frankinstein's ol lady, LOL,
Where did marteen find this dr. And his brain
Fixin machine? It seem to have helped mati.
She moved her hand, but shes been doing that anyway. Maybe the writers wanted to give vero a reason to hug marty, (mixed signals). They should play the baby card with
Vero and marty, all those times they made
Mad passionate love, some little sperm has to have made It up the stream by now and burst through.
Emi should stop begging vero for a chance, she's a bit wishy-washy right now.
Nina, ITA! Emi needs to stop begging and do his own thing - this could actually get Vero interested more than his constant: "choose me, pick me" routine (of course we know that she won't, but still, his odds would be better than they are now)
Also agree with you all about Martin's man-handling. He does it all the time, but I don't actually blame the character, but the writers - telenovela galans are written like this 9 out of 10 times. When everything is good with the main couple they are nauseatingly sweet - how many real life guys do we actually know that will act like a galan at any given moment of their love life? But when the going gets tough, they start with the borderline abuse, bad-calling, emotional blackmail - you name it, they'll do it. It's not pretty to see, especially since they are ALL doing it.
