Lo Imperdonable #89 Fri 9/18/15 ♫♪♫♪Crazy Crazy Marty Watch Out For That Car♫♪♫♪

(scenes have been combined to help the recap flow better)

Vero says the "D" word

Vero and Emi arrive home only to find the main floor of the Prado Castelo mansion filled with many roses. Emi is sure Crazy Marty sent them. Vero wishes Marty had shown this romantic side of him back when they first arrived in Mina Escondida. Vero is determined to make it clear to Marty that everything is over between them.

The next day, we find a weeping Vero in her room as she recalls past moments with Marty. She's determined to do what she must do because she doesn't want to hate Marty.

Annnnnd .... she does exactly that because she shows up at Marty's doorstep accompanied by her divorce attorney - Lic. Espinosa. Vero shatters Marty's heart into a million pieces (like he shattered hers) and ask him for a D-I-V-O-R-C-E.  Dun Dun Dun.

Now we on The Patio have spent months and months getting to know these characters and we know them so well that it's no surprise when Marty refuses and refuses to accept the D-I-V-O-R-C-E. He insists and gets all stalker crazy and touchy with Vero as he has done before. Vero has to tell him to not touch her. The two get into their millionth argument and it's basically the same old same old argument we have been seeing these last few episodes.

Honestly, this was yawwwn city for me, but I'll go into as much detail as I can with it. OK, so Marty has refused to accept the divorce. He wants to know what he can do to gain Vero's forgiveness. She tells him this has nothing to do with forgiving and really the only way she'd ever forgive him is if she lost her memory but that ain't about to happen (and here I have to say .. that it better not happen ... or else I'll have a bone to pick with Mr. Mejia ...) Anyway, Marty is sorry not sorry, and tells Vero that if she continues insisting with a divorce, he won't make things easier for her to get one from him. According to him, for a divorce to be gained, both parties have to agree to it. He even asks Lic. Espinosa if it's true and she confirms him. Umm... whatever.

The argument is now taken to one side of the apartment while the divorce attorney is at the table doing who knows what with some papers. Veronica brings up her usual "do you want me to hate to you?" card and Marty is all like "you can never hate me because you luuvvv me and I can feel it..". . He tells her that he now understands where her pain stems from and tells her that she has to understand that he was blinded with pain by his bro's death .. yada yada. Vero understands but throws in his face that well he made her suffer with no real proof that she was to blame for his bro's death .. and I think she makes a good point there. Anyway, she goes on to accuse him of having courted her with lies. He assures her that he fell in love with her at first sight but she isn't buying it because well how could you love someone when you have a sick desire for revenge .. and she's got the "sick" part right I might add. He asks for forgiveness yet again and she tells him that it doesn't have to do with forgiving but with forgetting. She tells him that the pain he caused her has built walls in her heart and she can't be with him no more. He tells her that if she gives him an opportunity he'll break down those walls. She tells him that love ends and when it does it only leaves resentment. She does not want to hate him. She asks for a D-I-V-O-R-C-E again and he refuses again. In other words, we are going in circles here... sigh.. she eventually tells him that well since you won't give me the divorce then I'll have to go far away and you'll never see me again.

How does Marty respond ... ? By letting out his stalkerish side again... he tells her that there is no place where his heart won't find her. She asks him to give her what she wants so they can end things on good terms. She wants nothing from him except for him to let her live in peace that is. He asks her how she'll be able to have peace when she doesn't have the man she loves. She's got an answer for that ... she tells him that when love is based on deceit it doesn't survive and dies.

Vero eventually leaves Marty in the apartment alone with Lic. Espinosa who shows him the D-I-V-O-R-C-E papers. Marty tears the papers in two and throws them in the air as if they were confetti. He then leaves the apartment to continue stalking go after Vero.

(Annnd I'll get back to them a little later since we ended the episode with them...)

Keeping Up With The Goat Family

(Ed: Sometimes I think the Kardashians are more tolerable than these people .. the only saving grace is sassy little Polo who never disappoints and of course our furry friend Onix..)

OK, so AP and Blanquita are packing their things to head back to The Green Hell (and in this case.. it will be a hell at least for AP it seems . more on this later ..). AP who has lost the spine that she grew a couple of episodes ago is all set to forget about Pabs. And Blanquita ... hell no! She ain't about to give up her Prince Arturo and her dreams of pursuing a nursing career. She decides to leave her Prince Arturo a letter telling him that she'll be back when her family problems are solved.

The next day, the whole Goat Family, is all set to leave for home. AP and Blanquita will miss their city digs, while sassy little Polo is sad that his family doesn't love each other anymore, and Raymunda .. ? Well, luckily she only opens her mouth to say a few words ... she says that she can't wait until she gets home to clear things up with her hubby. They all enventually crowd into the cab like clowns and who knows how they all fit in there .. maybe they should put Manny in the trunk .. wishful thinking I know. Oooh lookie they tied the boxes to the top of the cab ...wouldn't it be a hoot if it all falls on the street on the route to the bus station ..?  Manny and Julio could scatter outside midway to the station to collect it all .. wishful thinking again ... pigs would fly the day Manny ever lifts a finger to do something but sit on his butt and get drunk as a skunk.

Anywhoo, the whole family is on the bus, poor Blanquita is stuck sitting next to sleeping Manny who's probably getting his saliva all over her ... yuck! AP and Julio are seated next to each other. AP tells Julio that she fears that her grandpa is planning something terrible against her and that she senses that she and her baby are in danger. Julio reminds her that he loves her and interests her in leaving together to go somewhere far far away before it's too late.

Later on, Blanquita switches seats with Julio, and she tells AP that she's not about to give up her dreams of becoming a nurse and her prince. AP is glad that at least Blanquita can still hold on to a dream of love while she herself has no hope of ever getting back together with Pabs.

Meanwhile, old Gramps is having a verrrry bad day, but it's a good day for the Patio because we get to see him fuming. If only he'd keel over  ... wishful thing again. He's lost the respect from everyone in the village because they all believe that Joaquin is having an affair with Gaby. They all make faces at him and all the Old Goat can do is shake his stick like madman and fume. Ha!

Padre Juan tries to talk some sense into the Old Goat so he can hear Joaquin out. But the Old Goat refuses to hear the lies which he is sure will come from Joaquin's mouth. Old Goat wants Joaquin to leave town so he can't get near Raymunda ever again.

When he returns home he rants and rants as he talks to the photo of his late wife (and she's lucky because she croaked and doesn't have to deal with him no more). He rants about everyone talking crap about his family thanks to his cheating son-in-law and he's sure that AP's pregnancy will just stir the knife. He decides that he must hide AP somewhere and keep her locked up. But where. Where? Oh... he'll keep her in Mina Perdida (the same place where Polo hid when he ran away ... I think).  Annnd on the Patio we are all cheering Die Old Goat. Die.

The Goat Family arrives in town and people make faces at them as they head to Old Goat's place. Upon arriving, Raymunda is all set to go and talk with her hubby, but Old Goat refuses to let her go. Annnd .. Raymunda does as told because she's a four year old who still listens to daddy's orders ... sheesh! He goes on to tell them all that they have to obey him from now on and if they don't well then out they go because no one who disobeys him deserves to step foot on the ground he walks on. Old Goat then gets on AP's case and let's her know that her baby will be given away. AP shows signs of a spine and stands up to the Old Goat. The Old Goat lets her know of his plans to lock her up.

♫♪♫♪She's All Alone ... There's No One There Beside Her ...♫♪♫♪

Earlier that morning, Salma is at the table having breakfast. Virginia is there too but the snake only has time for some coffee before she must skedaddle off to the office. Emi overhears the snake talking about having to leave for the office and he's surprised to see that she's so interested to get to work. Salma wants a shoulder to cry on and she asks the snake to stay a minute and chat with her. But the snake has to get to work. She kisses her tiita goodbye and she slithers out the house. Salma asks Emi to stay and have breakfast with her. Emi's rather cold with her and calls her by her first name instead of "Mama" (ouch! but well deserved). He tells her that he too must get to work and he leaves after kissing her goodbye and wishing her a good day. Salma is now all alone and it looks she's about to shed one of those artificial tear on her surgically done face (and I'm talking about the CHARACTER here NOT the actress).

Annnnnd later on, any sympathy we might have felt for her is gone when she hires a new maid named Chole and gives her the ground rules which are NO ERRORS (seems reasonable) and TO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH FAMILY AFFAIRS. Salma already made that mistake one time with a servant and she's not making it twice.  B*tch!

Later on, good old Nico calls Salma and invites her on a dinner date to talk. And guess what? Emi overhears Nico on the phone. Oh Nico... let's see what he does now ...

The Two Princes And Their Damsel's In Distress

First Prince Arturo ...

He awaits his beloved Blanquita who is a no show. He gets teary eyed when she doesn't show up and eventually decides to go and look for her himself.

Now Prince Pabs ...

Pabs carries meat at his job down at the meat place. He returns home after a hard day's work and shocks his mother with the news that he's gonna be a daddy!

Lucia is speechless .. she doesn't know what to say. While she's excited with the news, she knows that The Goat Family doesn't even want to see Pabs. Well, Pabs could care less, why he'd give his own life for AP and for his child. Later on, Lucia (who is probably a die hard Maury Povich fan) brings up the possibility that perhaps the child AP is about to have is NOT Pabs' .. (shut up Lucia!) because after all that would explain why AP is marrying Julio. Luckily, Pablo knows AP would never cheat on him. He's sure Old Goat is forcing her to marry Julio. Annnnd that's when he realizes that perhaps Old Goat is planning something against his child because AP did mention some sort of death threat. Pabs decides to rescue AP.

The two princes unite...

Pabs makes it to Old Goat's place and knocks on the door. Some neighbor informs him that the family has left and ain't returning. She cops a good look at Pabs from behind before leaving .. (was that in the script or improvised .. hmm...). Pabs climbs up the balcony like a good prince and he finds a letter sticking out from the window. He's all smiles thinking AP has left him a letter but that smile turns upside down when he sees the letter addressed to Arturo.

And speaking about Prince Arturo...

He shows up on his bike and Pabs tells him that the woman they love have been taken. Prince Arturo doesn't quite get what Pabs means because he doesn't know the family like Pabs knows then. Pabs tells Arturo that their damsels have a dominating grandfather (and that's really an understatement if you ask me ..). Pabs gives Arturo the letter which he reads. The letter basically tells him that Blanquita was forced to leave because of family problems which she hopes are resolved soon so she can be back. She doesn't want to give him up or her dreams to be a nurse. She signs it "love Blanquita" and Prince Arturo is so ecstatic that he even picks Pabs up.

"There's Something I Don't Understand" ... We Know, Jorge! We Know!

Over at the hospital, Jorge receives the good news that Mati's condition is improving. She's all set to start rehab. When Jorge and Mati are left alone, Jorge tells Mati that there's something he doesn't understand ... why did she leave the house that time? did someone kick her out? (why is he even asking her this .. it's not as if she can talk back... idiot ... why didn't he ask her before? ..)

Nothing Will Separate Us

At some restaurant, Magda and Botel eat breakfast and she's all smiles because it seems like Vero will finally accept her as a mother and now NOTHING will separate them ... and I think she just jinxed it.

From Doctor To Criminal Mastermind

We now find the ex-doctor turned criminal mastermind (known as Daniel Fernandez) who is hiring a hit against Crazy Marty. He's wasting his life savings on having Crazy Marty offed.

Nanci Senses It All

Meanwhile, Nanci cleanses herself with leaves because hey it works better than L'Oreal. She senses that her patron Marty is in grave danger.

Later, she speaks with Padre Juan about this. Nanci also tells Padre that Marty will return to Mina Escondida with a huge pain in his soul. That darn Mujer Blanca is making him suffer! Nanci wants to free her patron from Mujer Blanca. Oh Nanci... back off!

Clemente's Last Breath

Over in the prison, Aaron receives the news that he's destined to have a limp for the rest of his miserable days. Annnnd if he doesn't take care of himself he could lose mobility completely and not be able to walk. Naturally, Aaron blames this on Clemente, and attacks him. The two bros fight and Aaron gets the upperhand. He gets Clemente into a choke hold. Clemente begs for his life and asks him to think about their mother. Ooh but Aaron could care less and he squeezes tighter and slowly  chokes the life out of Clemente who falls dead in the cell. RIP Clemente.

Class Dismissed

In town, the mothers of the children in Gaby's class all arrive to take their children home because they all think Gaby is bad influence on their children. Gaby is indecent after all. The mothers and kids all leave except for poor little Dorita who doesn't get picked up and has to witness Gaby weeping and saying that this is the worst humiliation ever. Poor child.

What Do You Get When An Engineer Crosses The Road?

OK.. we are back to our main couple. Marty has followed Vero outside somewhere on the street and now he brings up the "til death do us part" vow card. Vero knows how to counterattack this remark and tells him that it's not a valid vow if it was made out of revenge and not out of love. They did not unite for love but for his silly revenge. She tells him that he'll end with the pain that she feels when he signs the divorce papers. She leaves and asks him not to follow her.

Sooo of course Marty follows her ... dude give her space! Vero rushes across the street and Marty is forced to stop and wait for a whole bunch of cars to drive off leaving the road clear. Once the road appears to be cleared, Marty chases after Vero. Just then the hit men have spotted Marty and they drive their car aiming to hit Marty and send him flying. Vero sees the car racing towards Marty and she screams. END OF EPISODE.

Thanks Mauricio in advance. This time Vero is serious about the divorce by bringing the lawyer. I didn't think she would go this far because in past episodes she kept talking about divorce.

Yes Duchess she's serious this time. Vero had been waffling but it appears that she has decided and so the lawyer and the demand for divorce paper. It did look serious when crazy stalker Marty tore up the divorce paper that signaled a fight coming but that all is going to change now that Marty is about to get hit by a car. Veronica will be spending many long hours by crazy Marty's bedside. This is not a spoiler just my hunch but it sure looks like that is what's coming.

the gringo

Gringo you are right. it looks like she will be spending many hours at Martin's bedside. I must say that I am glad Martin tore up the divorce papers and I am not surprised that he did. I want him to do all he can to win her back.

I'm with you, Duchess. It's so obvious to everyone, and so then of course Marty himself, that Vero loves him. Yes, when she was reliving the marriage vows and when he said they made promises to be together forever, I can understand how that is hard to deal with given that at the time he was planning to take her down. Yet, things have changed, and they love each other. Vero needs to let go of the past, including whatever she felt about her mother, and move on already. She's not a child.

Gringo, totally agree that we will see Vero at the bedside of Martin...probably with Emi hovering over her, ugh!

You are right things have changed Mari. It is so obvious that they love each other. She needs to forgive him.

Thank you Mauricio for what I am sure will be a super duper recap. How can you miss with that great title, musical notes as a bonus.

Dr. Dan made a huge miscalculation spending his last savings on these two thugs. He needs protection from Ginny!

I'm really hating the OG right now, more than ever, but I'm extremely disappointed in Raymunda. She needs to man-up and take care of her children, AP, and hunky husband. Screw gramps!

Great title Mauricio. Looking forward to the recap.

Can't wait for the recap!

Loriloo I was wondering where Dr. Dan got the money since he says he's broke. I guess it was Marty that Doc and Ginny were talking abt. Both want him gone.

I just don't see why AP hasn't just run away with Pablo. The opportunities have been there.

I don't see how Vero can forget what Marty did. He married a woman and planned to torture her and make her suffer. Demetrio put the gun to his own head. And just bec he loves her Vero is suppose to forget his sadistic plan? Sorry but he needs to leave her alone and she should run far.

Thank you everyone! The recap is up. Enjoy! :)

Thank you, Mauricio, for your thorough, although painful at times for you I"m sure, recap! Especially when it comes to OG and family. Yes, Polo is the voice of reason in that mess, along with Blanquita. I say run, girl, run. How dare Manny slap her in the head when she speaks? But then, we should be used to that, but I'm not.

I know Martín may not be popular with many of you, but I feel for him. He made a huge mistake out of grief, however stupid. Very frustrating storyline since most of the leading men in this TN are stalkers, except for Pablo. And what is Magda had decided to commit suicide because of Vero's rejection? It could have happened. I'm just saying Vero's view of herself as a perfect person who has been betrayed by those she loves is really, really boring for me.

Hasta pronto a todos y have a great evening.

That is...What if Magda had committed...

Thanks Mauricio for the excellent recap! You really touched on every point!

This was a sad episode for me. Daniel wants to kill Martin, divorce and Joaquin being accused of having an affair.

I must say that I was happy when Martin tore te divorce papers. Vero is a really strong character and I am sure it wasnt easy for her to stand her ground with the divorce and Martin's please. The reason I am being forgiven of Martin is because he is doing his best to rectify his mistakes and he is very sorry for what he did. He truly regrets what he did and doing all he can to win her back.

About your point ''really the only way she'd ever forgive him is if she lost her memory?'' - has Mejia done this in his other novelas? Is losing memory a rugular thing in novelas? For all the 8 TN I have watched, I have never seen this kind of storyline.

I am hate Nanci. She really needs to know that Martin will never leave Vero for her. She is so annoying!

I didnt understand why Aaron killed Clemente...so you recap on it helped me understand. No spoiler...but I see Aaron doing a prison break because they keep showing him and this isnt the end of his part in Vero and Magdalena's lives.

Thanks so much for the detailed recap!!!

Mauricio,
Thanks for the recap. I just started reading it, and so far it's great. I will comment more later today.

Thanks again, Hasta Pronto!

Ah Mauricio...you are the king of Asides and sobriquets. Loved Yawn City, D.I.V.O.R.C.E. (great country song), the Goat Family (perfect!) and Prince Pabs.

The Veronica/Martin back n forths are getting tiresome (or I'm just getting cranky) and I couldn't feel much sympathy for the wildly obtuse Gaby when her pursuit of a close friendship with a married man was misinterpreted. Somebody that dense should not be in the teaching profession. If you're lonely and blue, you need a woman friend, lady,..for Pete's sake!

Nanciyaga is annoying but I'm sure the menfolk enjoy those herbal cleansing scenes. The lady has a great pair of gams as well as other body parts. Hurry back Emilio and forget this pointless pursuit of Veronica.

Thanks Mauricio, always a pleasure to dish the episode with you after the show. I'm sure we're in for a LOT MORE DRAMA before this mess is finally resolved. But it's in Spanish, so I'm hanging in there.

Thanks Mauricio Great recap.
Re: Martin and no forgiveness. By the same token you can shoot and kill someone (or love). AND no matter how S O R R Y you are, sob sob, they are not going to be alive again. This isn't a "Did you put that dress on my charge card?" lovers indiscretion. This is life-changing deception and is not to be forgiven. (see shoot and kill above)

Perfect, Mauricio. You adopt just the right tone – "Honestly, this was yawwwn city for me" – to make the increasingly improbable and yet predictable storylines fun. Thank you!

My question: Where were all these judmental villagers when Manuel was running around assaulting women? When he was in Cave Jail for attempted murder? When he was a loud and obnoxious drunk living on the street? And NOW the Old Goat has lost his reputation because a couple of old biddies saw Joaquín carrying Gaby in the street?

"She cops a good look at Pabs from behind before leaving .. (was that in the script or improvised .. hmm...)"

I know! That cracked me up!

"Emi overhears Nico on the phone. Oh Nico... let's see what he does now ..."

So, Nico, you askin' my mom out on a date or what? [snort]

And did anyone else notice how the whole Goat Family stood around and watched while Julio shlepped all their cab to the cab?

So have we bottomed out? Or is it going to get worse? Oh, who am I kidding? There are a ton of unexplored icky possibilities. Ni modo. We are armed with snark and we will get through this! Onward, Team Imperdonable!

Good Morning Everyone! Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I'm glad you all enjoyed the recap. I had a lot of fun writing it. Things look interesting for Monday. Can't wait until we find out what will happen.

Can't believe Daniel would waste his life savings on hiring a hit. When he could have spent it on food and shelter. Really foolish on his part if you ask me.

I'm dreading the storyline with AP being kept in Mina Perdida until she gives birth. Please writers don't go there. Let Prince Pablo or Noble Steed Julio save her.

I was surprised to see Clemente killed. Wow. Aaron really is evil to have murdered his own brother. I also don't think we are done with him since we keep on seeing him.

Mauricio, thanks for a rather funny and very insightful recap.
The goat family: these people are somewhat
Frustrating and down right annoying. I'd like
To grab rayray and give her a good shake, of
Course it probably wouldn't help, this lady fears her dad the goat more than she fears God. Grumpy goat thinks hes God. And his
Idiotic grandson is second in command, this
Wont end well for them. Pablo got a feelin, he
Should get autauro and come and rescue their Ladies. He (goat) wants to put her(AP) in the cave, Really? Whats the matter with these people in this town why are they so afraid of this man? I don't care about their traditions, this is just insane. when the time comes for them to get their comeuppance I hope theres somebody there that will explain to rayray that her father is a stupid ignorant crazy person and her nephew is insane and the way they treat people is insane. he is not some king, he does not tell the people how to live their lives that's just really wrong how he gets tell them how to live and who they can love and who they can marry. who the hell does he think he is? well we already know who he think he is, someone should tell him he isn't. and what happened to jaoquin's back bone why is he backing off from this old goat? Hes not cheating on rayray.
Ok magda should not have said, "nothing will
Keep us apart again", here comes disgusting
Aaron fresh after murdering his brother in the
Jail cell.
Veronica shouldn't have said what she said about having amnesia because that accident
Thats a hit courtesy of dr. feelgood could quite possibly cause him to have amnesia. that would get him out of the dog house but oh well she should not have said it.
I hope julio will use his back bone and stand up For AP, and keep those two psychos from putting ana p in the cave. O these people.
And will somebody please buy these people
Some luggage, theres is some nice cheap
Luggage that Is affordable. I've seen it, I've
Got some. They could have bought some in mexico. They got that nice apartment, or is the goat to cheap? El cheapo.

Mauricio---A great weekend blast, you always come through. Great line after line.

How can you love someone when you have a sick desire for revenge? Good point but that was before Crazy Marty discovered how wrong he had been. It seems like there are mixed feelings about forgiveness out on the patio. Mari's comment made a lot of sense to me when she asked --- What if Magda had committed suicide because of Vero's rejection?

Mauricio---You made me laugh when you mentioned about the crowded cab and you suggested to let Manny ride in the trunk. Actually, I'm still laughing thinking about it but you know the Old Goat would never have let that happen.

Old Goat---If only he'd keel over. I think everyone on the patio would second that thought. Sometimes he is good for a laugh though.

Mauricio I must say that you did yourself proud. LOL---The Old Goat's wife is lucky because she croaked and doesn't have to deal with him anymore.

I wonder how OG was when he was young? He sure is a problem now. I must say though that I like how the costume department has dressed him. Every time I see him I get visions of an American hillbilly. I guess that he's the Mexican version of that.

Right Duchess---Aaron will be back to do more evil. There is no other reason why Televisa would be showing us more of him.

JudyB---Your Nanciyaga comment made me laugh. I have already have changed doctors. Dr. Carlos is out. I'm switching over in favor of Dr. Nanci and jungle medicine.

NovelaMaven---A very good point. One for Mejia I suspect. Yes, where were the two town gossips when all of the things that you mentioned was going on? Maybe they were home reading novels, doing the laundry or cooking dinner for their families.

Anyway--I didn't yawn once. I am hanging on every scene. I just love Lo Imperdonable

It's must see tv.
the gringo

Wow, Mauricio, thanks for this remarkable recap. I like the coherent way that you organized it. Your asides are very entertaining and spot on as always.

I'm puzzled as to why Dr. Daniel has singled out Martín for such harsh treatment and also why Martín would have even shown any animosity toward him in the first place. Have I missed something that's been going on between these two?

I'm also puzzled as to why Martín thinks that just because he's sorry that he was wrong in blaming Verónica for the death of his brother and because he loves her that a bunch of roses and a lot of clumsy pawing at her warrants her forgiveness. And I don't think that he's ever even fully owned up to all his deceptions.

I also, like most of you, wonder where all these judgmental people of the community were while Manuel was running amok.

While I appreciate Padre Juan chiding the busybodies over jumping to false conclusions, he might have also counseled Joaquín and Gaby about contributing to these assumptions.

What has Joaquín done with Onyx? Have we seen him lately?

Wasn't it rather foolish and short-sighted (not to mention dangerous) of Aarón to choke his brother? Not exactly the brightest bad guy we've ever seen.

Maybe if Martín survives his injuries, Magdalena can babysit both Matilde and him. Perhaps then she'll have impressed Princess Verónica enough for her to finally relent and call her mama.

Carlos

So many amusing points in your recap, Mauricio, and I agree with Gringo. You did yourself proud on this one:
The Old Goat's wife is lucky because she croaked and doesn't have to deal with him anymore. Hilarious.

Carlos -- Princess Verónica. Very fitting.

Thanks once again, Mauricio, for an insightful and enjoyable recap.

I have to ditto Carlos about why does Dr. Dan have it in for Marty? I don't recall any misdeeds between them. Marty obviously needs to step back and get away and do some serious thinking about his actions towards Vero. Also, the way he is behaving now is not endearing him to Vero, you'd think he could see that and take another tack. I do hope that he figures out a good way to redeem himself in her eyes, if that is possible.
Trust is the basis of friendship and certainly marriage and I don't know how he can restore that in her.

The other side shows are not too interesting because it is totally insane to think that any of the Goat family have any brain cells, so not much will change there. I don't understand why AP finds it so important to hang out with these folks....guess she's so used to it she can't tell the difference between what is crazy and normal behavior, i.e. common sense.

Yes, Nanciyaga is revving up to be star! She will certainly yank Emi's chain...haha!
So looking forward to tomorrow's episode - will Martin be in the hospital and vulnerable to the evildoers? Will Aaron try to harm Vero and Magda? Why did he kill his brother....what a monster!! He and Manny should be kept in a cage together out in the courtyard where people can throw peanuts at them and hurl insults and poke them with sticks. I've long thought that the Stocks served well and should be brough back!!

I hope that Julio can take charge of the situation and wrest AP away from the crazies.

Salma will not end well, nor Virginia. Poor Jorge - he's been a really good guy.

Gale

Hi Carlos and Gale. I believe that Dr. Dan's problem with Marty is that he blames Marty for getting him fired. Marty is the one who came into his office twice yelling about his affair with Ginny.

Ginny also wants revenge on Marty but she is more concerned about Mati being able to talk again. Although I believe Ginny will kill Dr. Dan and very soon, her immediate problem is Mati. Then she will revenge on everyone else in her way.

Mauricio another masterpiece. Thanks so much. I also wondered about Dr. Dan's revenge on Martin. Hopefully MST will not survive being hit by a car. Yeah right. BTW Dr. D mentioned thst nit only is he unemployed, his medical license is revoked also. IE: his medical degree is worthless. Thank You Vsnake. You should be first on Daniel's list..

The people I would like to see killed in order:
Vsnake
Manuel (ManGoat)
Old Goat
Aaron
Raymunda (RayGoat)
Daniel (formerly Dr. Daniel)
Martin
Clemente oops too late
Salma
ManGoat (twice)

Another thing I don't understand is how Dr.Dan lost his license. He's not exactly a candidate for Dr. of the Year, and I can almost understand why he was fired if he was employed by the hospital, but this is not the way things are done here, nor I suspect, in Mexico either. The is such a thing as due process and I can't see anything he has done to warrant revocation of his license. Perhaps censure or probation, but kissing a patient, even in the hospital doesn't warrant what has happened to him. He should have at least a hearing. And by the way, what business is this of Martín anyway?

Also, I still think we need to keep seeing more of Nanciyaga and her prescient snails.

Carlos, you are really into onyx. Can't say I blame you, That dog and little polo seem to be the smart ones on this show.
Tomorrow night should be a hoot.

I think that Dr. Dan wanted to take out Martin because then Vero would partner up with Emi, leaving Ginny out in the cold.

He can't kill Ginny because he still wants to blackmail her with the video.

Thanks, Mauricio! Your excellent recap sparked many great comments. The Goat familia is totally annoying. They should have been a public spectacle long before this, because they can't put together a complete brain among all of them.

I wondered how Pablo could climb the balcony with his injured hand--kept expecting him to fall down and hurt another vital part. And speaking of injuries, Crazy Marty just stood in the road, watching the car approach. He had time to at least get closer to the curb. Of course Vero will feel bad and stay by his side.

Nancy may be fighting Vero for a spot by Marty's side. She'll be there with a pile of leaves, ready to plaster them on his body.

I hate to be cold, but so what if Magdalena killed herself because of Veronica's rejection?

Maggie killing herself would not be Veronica's fault, just like Demetrio killing himself is not Virginia's fault.

People don't have to respond to you just because you want them to. The fact is, Botel didn't snatch up Veronica when he rescued Maggie. He left Vero to her own devices, to Aaron's abuse. Veronica has a lot to process. I'm tired of Maggie expecting Veronica to instantly call her mom, and her impatience in general. So if Maggie killed herself because Veronica wouldn't instantly accept her, that's on Maggie, not Veronica.

Same with Demetrio/Virginia. Virginia was not obligated to return Demetrio's affections or stay with him for any reason. If she broke up with him for bad breath, poor singing or him being broke, she had that right. Demetrio doing away with himself is on him, not Virginia.

Boy Mauricio can you write! You turned out a great piece. I dont even eatch this tn, but your title caught my attention. I decided I will probably stick to reafing the recaps thought, because you reeled mein.

Sorry for typos, dont comment anymore so I am rusty. "Watch this tn". "Reeled me in."

Has there ever been a telenovela where the male protagonist doesn't end up with the female protagonist lead? I am thinking about the end of this show. What if Crazy Stalking Marty doesn't end with Veronica? Would this be a first?

I was just thinking about Clemente's demise at his brother's hands, and am i remembering correctly that Clemente was aiming for Martín in the takedown of the two brothers and shot Aaron instead?

Gobluefan, In La Esposa Virgen, the second string galán, Sergio Sendal himself, ended up with the protagonista, Adela Noriega, instead of the numero uno galán, Jorge Salinas. It was a very unsatisfying and unsettling ending (or at least to me!)

Mari,
That's right. Clemente closed his eyes and squeezed the trigger; and when he opened his eyes again, his brother was on the ground and Marty was still standing. Poor Clemente. His heart was never really into this bad guy stuff – he just wanted to please his big brother.

Thanks, NovelaMaven. Just goes to show how stupid it can be to support someone no matter what that person does. Raymunda, look out!

Thank you Mauricio for a very entertaining and informative recap.

Marty is really annoying me. He should Veronica alone for a while so that she can think things through without him in her face all the time grabbing and manhandling and forcing kisses on her. That's not loving that's controlling.

Yes it is bizarre that the townsfolk don't lift an eyebrow at violent and abusive behaviour but alleged adultery does.

Aaron choking his brother was strange. Why did he do that, and how come they were on the same prison cell. Didn't make sense to me at all.

Please when wil episode 90 be ready?

james barry, episode 90 will air tonight (Monday, Sept. 21) on American television. I'll write a recap after the show and probably post it late tomorrow morning.

Thanks Again Mauricio:

And by the same reasoning, Crazy Stalking Marteeen is just as deliriously crazy as his little brother, only, thankfully, his little bro was crazy enough to remove himself from humanities gene pool. By his staying alive, Marteeen is much more dangerous. And for what it is worth, Veronica has a thousand times more understandable reason(s) for wanting nothing more to do with Marteeen than Vsnake had for dumping Demented..er Demetrio. Both boys are certifiably crazy and the survivor should be locked up if he can't leave said soon to be EX wife alone.

Right, Veronica really has no obligation to interact with Martin at all. Let the divorce lawyers do the talking. If Martin offs himself...well he was crazed to begin with. Marrying someone for revenge. That's sane behavior!

THANK YOU everyone for all the comments. Wow, what a great discussion!

Don't have much to add except that I'm looking forward to brand new week of Lo Imperdonable (the show, recaps, and comments).

Duchess, you asked about amnesia in novelas. Yes, amnesia is a common cliche in novelas. It has been done many times in other novelas. I'm hoping that the writers don't go there with this novela.

Thanks Mauricio for that info. Those amnesia storyline seem unrealistic.

I would so much hate a TN where the protagonists don't end up together in the end. It would put me off watching TNs for a while.

Mauricio,
You outdid yourself again with a stellar recap. A million thank you's!

So much has already been said so I will not go into detail, but I do have one thing to mention. In one of the Vero/Marty arguments Marty tells Vero that he fell for her the moment he saw her, but she tells him, no you saw me and saw revenge for your brother. I think that Princess Vero (thanks Carlos) was wrong when she said that. If I remember correctly, Marty first saw Vero at the club when she was having trouble with her horse and he came in to help her. That was when they first met, and it seems that it was love at first sight for BOTH of them. It wasn't until later at Emi's Welcome Home party that Marty realized that there were two V's. Vero and Virginia. So when Marty says that he loved her from the moment he saw her, he's talking about the moment they met at the club. At least that's what I think.

Thanks again Mauricio.
Hasta Pronto!

Hi Duchess,

I also wouldn't like a novela where the two leads don't end up together. After months and months of rooting for them it would be a major disappointment.

AuntyAnn,

"If I remember correctly, Marty first saw Vero at the club when she was having trouble with her horse and he came in to help her. That was when they first met, and it seems that it was love at first sight for BOTH of them. It wasn't until later at Emi's Welcome Home party that Marty realized that there were two V's. Good point. You are right that he did fall for her before knowing that she could be the woman that had led his brother to suicide.

Gobluefan,

Has there ever been a telenovela where the male protagonist doesn't end up with the female protagonist lead?

Querida Enemiga is another novela where the two leads do not end up together.

Can't wait for tonight's episode. I know this novella is driving a lot of you crazy, but I think I'm like the Gringo. I am enjoying this story.

Mauricio, I've finally caught up with this episode. I know many have mentioned these already, but there were just so many lines innocently inserted into your recap that made me laugh out loud. My favorites were:

“Honestly, this was yawwwn city for me, but I'll go into as much detail as I can with it.”

“while the divorce attorney is at the table doing who knows what with some papers.”

“The next day, the whole Goat Family,”

“maybe they should put Manny in the trunk”

“Pabs”

“old Gramps is having a verrrry bad day, but it's a good day for the Patio because we get to see him fuming.”

“RIP Clemente.”

“What Do You Get When An Engineer Crosses The Road?”

Thanks for so much fun!!

Barbara
