Lo Imperdonable #75 Mon 8/31/15 The Hero, the Reunion, and the Mouse That Roared
Hurry up and take the picture! Dimples is sitting on my funny bone! |
I'm telling you, another kid came by and I bought my gift wrap from him! |
Just then, Clemente appears. Though his hand trembles and his eyes are wide with terror, he points the gun at Marty. "Shoot him!" screams Aarón. Clemente closes his eyes and squeezes the trigger.
Oopsie! |
Don't move! I'll get the net! |
Labels: imperdonable
Great episode last night. Glad Vero and Magda were rescued and Aaron and Clemente are behind bars where they belong.
I'm glad Vero and Magda were able to talk and Magda had a chance to explain to Vero what really happened and how she searched for her all those years. The hug the two shared after the rescue was very touching. It was a great scene.
It was refreshing seeing Marty, Vero, Botel, Magda, Mati, and Jorge having such a good time together. Everything is so nice when Salma and Virginia aren't home.
Looking forward to when Vero calls Magda "Mama". I understand Vero when she told Magda that she needs time.
I'm glad we got the full story of how Virginia was adopted by Jorge and Salma. The story does sound fishy.
Salma was so nasty to Vero at the end. Can't stand her.
As nasty as Salma is, I guess we have to remember that Ginny is pulling her strings. I can imagine redemption for her at the end – unless Ginny bumps her off before that can happen.
"Everything is so nice when Salma and Virginia aren't home."
Sigh. Yes, it is.
"The Old Goat waves his green stick at Marty."
If the Caray Caray awards happen we should nominate the Old Goat's green stick as our favorite inanimate object. I get a kick out of it.
As nasty as Salma is, I guess we have to remember that Ginny is pulling her strings. I can imagine redemption for her at the end – unless Ginny bumps her off before that can happen.
I think she'll be redeemed at the end too and possibly get Nicolas.
Yes. It wouldn't surprise me if they do mess with it.
Hah! These scenes don't merit a lot of recap space, but they really are funny. Let's hear it for comic relief that's actually comical!
Ah, yes, the Old Goat's snaky green stick. A prop that deserves its props if ever there was one.
Nico and Salma? What are we planning to do with Jorge?
Wow oh wow what an episode! Probably one of the best so far! Finally Mejia let's get this thing going!
I agree it's too soon for Vero to call Magda mom yet. Not that simple to erase years of neglect even if unintended.
I hate Old Goat's blind loyalty to Mierd...Mani and forcing AP and others to comply to what can only be obstruction of justice! I also think AP and P DO deserve each other. Both of them are pretty wussy and that's just not attractive to anyone else at least I don't think it is.
I'm so glad Vero threw it right back at Salma and VSnake especially about treating VSnake like a child. Man up Ginny. Go Vero!
Sirverguënza is definitely more in line with "shameless bastard" or "jerk" than it is with anything playful like "rogue" or "rake".
"Sirverguënza is definitely more in line with "shameless bastard" or "jerk" than it is with anything playful like "rogue" or "rake".
Oh definitely. It's just that there are so many wonderful words in Spanish – infeliz, desgraciado, sinvergüenza come to mind – that seem to conjure up the word "bastard" in English, but it comes across as a little coarse. Vero can stand in her uncle's office and use the word 'sinvergüenza' without blushing, yet we know that it's a strong and insulting term. Most of the similar terms in English have become so old-fashioned as to be irrelevant.
(That reminds me of the Shakespearean insult game: "Thou dismal-dreaming hugger-mugger!," for example.

I enjoyed this episode. I am so glad the hostage situation was resolved quickly. I loved the moment with Martin and Veronica. Always like seeing them together.
The look on Emi's face when he saw Vero!!! That was classic. He was soooo happy to see her.
Also thanks for the Spanish lesson. I am currently learning Spanish so that will be helpful.
Thank you NovelaMaven for your hard but oh so great work.
Every time that I read one of your recaps there are so many things that stand out to me or that make me chuckle and that I want to mention but---there are always too many to write down.
Veronica is a prisoner but her hair looks fabulous. LOL, I was thinking the same thing while watching that scene last night.
Mati gives her a hug. (Sorry, sister. It won't help.)
Clement wilts-----A shadow falls over the patio.-----M&Ms (Montse & Mariana)
This story stinks like last week's flounder.
NM---This is just a partial list of your great lines today. I wish I could write like you do.
A DNA test? I hope that Dr. F doesn't get near it.
Carlos---Have you added Selma to your favorites list yet?
If the preview monkeys aren't playing with us, it looks like we are in for another
crazy Marty jealous scene tonight. Is Marty about to slip back into the crazy Marty that we all know so well?
Must see tv.
the gringo
Is aldo a police chief or a PI? Cause he'd make a good cop.
Could you interpret what maggie and vero said to each other in the mom and daughter
Moment that made you grab the kleenx?
Selma is just s natural born bitch. She let's all of her nasty crap come out on veronica.
And I wonder about that so called car crash with the snake's parents. Someone should
Hire aldo to look into that.
Loved seeing moma bear's claws(magda) come out when her cub was being attacked.
I hope old jealous marty wont come back. Veronica needs him to step up and be the "MAN" like he did with disgusting aaron. Don't give ginny A chance to screw up the DNA test," IF" there will be one.
The old goat, is he really that stupid? I hope
Martin testifys along with others against that
Worthless weasel. And I wish AP would grow
A backbone stop crying so darn much. If she
Was thinking clearly she'd know manny can't kill pablo. She could tell somebody about the threats, that would help put that jackass in jail. I don't like the old goat, anybody with me? Sense he loves his grandson so much
He should go to jail with him.
Salma couldn't be as openly nasty to Veronica as a child because Jorge would've shut that down.
Thank you adding for wonderful screen caps. I loved them all. My favorite was the one of Clemente's facial expression as he pulled the trigger.
"Though his hand trembles and his eyes are wide with terror, he points the gun at Marty."
The actor did a good job with the scene. You could tell that it was the first time that Clemente ever has had to pull the trigger.
"Let's hear it for comic relief that's actually comical!"
Yes, it was a very funny scene. And a strange one at the same time. I wonder what the actors think when they have to do a scene like this one.
To answer your questions:
Aldo is a PI, not a cop. I agree he'd be a great policeman.
What made NM reach for the Kleenex:
When Vero was a little girl, her mother used to say: "You're the most beautiful and the best little girl in all the world." And Vero would ask: "And in all the universe?" Her mother would reply: "Yes, in all the universe."
In this scene, Vero is remembering those exchanges. She says: "I'm the most beautiful little girl in all the world," and Magdalena replies: "And in all the universe."
"I don't like the old goat, anybody with me?"
Oh yeah! Can you fit us all in your house?
"I don't like the old goat, anybody with me?"
Nina, I'm right there with you. There was a time when he started to become likable - when he had accepted Pablo and started not to think so badly of outsiders. Now that he has reverted back to his old self he's completely unlikable.
"The look on Emi's face when he saw Vero!!! That was classic. He was soooo happy to see her."
You're so right. I've started to appreciate how well Ana Brenda and Sergio work together.
Hi gringo,
If you ever get so excited by the episode that you forget to say thank you, I promise I'll dive down and try to retrieve your comment. :D I'm delighted that you enjoyed the recap today.
You can never tell with the preview monkeys. Sometimes they're right, but what they show happens several episodes down the road. I'm definitely going to watch and find out.
It seems to me that Dr. Carlos has already come to Salma's defense. (Don't tell him I said this, but he seems to have a particular weakness for these ladies who in English would have names like Muffy or Pinky and are dressed up as if headed for their 30 year sorority reunion.)
"Nico and Salma? What are we planning to do with Jorge?"
That's a good question. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Right now the writers seem to be pushing the possibility that Nico and Salma will be together.
And yes, the Claudia-Pierre bondage scene was very strange. I like to think of the actors giggling between takes.
Anon207, In an earlier episode, Virginia described the way she made Verónica out to be the bad guy in front of Salma from very early on. She would cry and accuse Vero of hitting her when Vero had done nothing. Salma would end up comforting Virginia and punishing Vero.
I see Salma as a very weak and stupid woman who is particularly susceptible to manipulation, especially when it is wrapped in unctuous flattery.
My favorite line:
"Claudia and Pierre continue to bond in swinging Cancún."
Beautifully understates my favorite scenes. I could've used a cigarette after watching that.
gringo,
"Have you added Selma to your favorites list yet?"
She's been on my favorites list since the very first scene in the very first episode. She's gorgeous.
I have to put in a good word for the actor playing Crescencio. He says so very much with just his eyes and his gestures. He is a master.
Duchess,
"The look on Emi's face when he saw Vero!!!"
Yes, he didn't need to utter a word for us to know precisely how he felt.
Carlos
Thank for the recap! I'll have to try to catch it on dvr before tonight's episode. FF thru all of AP's scenes! Her whiny crying makes me crazy!
Carlos, you rogue! (Not to be confused with sinvergüenza, infeliz or desgraciado!!!!)
I'm honored that you think your beloved Adriana would approve of the little grammar lesson. I also agree that Judy's going to enjoy our efforts to think about words and their meaning.
Thank you so much. (I don't believe there's a rule that recappers have to thank commenters – not yet, anyway – but the comments around here often do feel like gifts.)
Carvivlie,
I hope you do get a chance to catch the episode. It was especially satisfying to see Aarón and Clemente taken out of the picture. And it's nice that Vero doesn't have to keep talking trash about her mother. It looks like tonight's going to be a good one too.
NovelaMaven---I went back for a second time around and the screen shots are mere perfection.
And another thank you is in store for telling us what the Vero/Magda Kleenex time conversation was about. That was heart warming.

"...he seems to have a particular weakness for these ladies who in English would have names like Muffy or Pinky and are dressed up as if headed for their 30 year sorority reunion."
It's a little scary how well you seem you know me. By the way, I wonder how much enthusiasm there would be for setting up a Salma Table?
Carlos
A Salma Table? Perhaps you could use it to accommodate the overflow from the Virginia table...
You will find crazy recaps for all the episodes . Connie Brandon Verzak is on the same wavelength as our excellent Caray recappers--intelligent, witty, clever, outrageously irreverent, and so deliciously funny
"...overflow from the Virginia table..."
Heh heh.
Was anyone else concerned for Botel last night, first as he was drinking wine with dinner and afterward when he join Jorge for some Cognac? However, Magdalena didn't seem disturbed.
Thanks Susanlynn,
I checked a few out. Your right, very funny.
Carlos
It was refreshing that Vero wanted a little time before she called Magda "mama." So many times, it's an instant acceptance.
Pierre seemed a wee bit shameless in the hotel room with Claudia, although the fruit wasn't able to call him names. Claudia using her persuasion skills to the utmost.
Vero will need all of Jorge's good will (joven Emi's as well) if Salma puts up a fight in the distribution of the properties.
"It was refreshing that Vero wanted a little time before she called Magda "mama." So many times, it's an instant acceptance."
True. Could it be that the writing here is nuanced? Nah, what am I thinking?
:D
Thanks so much for your recap. You didn't miss a thing. It was awesome. So sorry I am late to the party. Internet has been down all day at work. I couldn't even log on to comment on my phone. Grrr!!!
Anyhoo, last night's episode was really good. I too was happy that the rescue happened so quickly. I really didn't feel like watching Vero and Maggie being tortured by Aaron and Clemente.
Salma totally went overboard with Vero and her accusations. V-Snake has her (Salma) eating out of her hand. She will believe anything Virginia tells her. It's too bad because Vero could have used a mother figure growing up. Thank goodness Matilde was there to watch over Vero.
And before I forget, I am so glad that Pablo is not taking Mariana's money. It was very nice of Marty to offer his financial assistance to Pablo. Yay!
After watching the previews I am wondering if crazy Marty will make a return. Can't wait to get home and watch.
Thanks again NovelaMaven!
Hasta Pronto!
I appreciate the kind words.
I agree that there were a lot of things to applaud last night (though Salma the meanie wasn't one of them). Of course since we're nowhere near the end of the story, it makes sense to keep our seatbelts fastened and not be too surprised if we hit a bit of turbulence. :-)
