Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #24 Fri 9/25/15 (Mex 31-32) Grrrrrrrrrrr!

I won’t call Sonia a $!ut but let’s just say she can write down her moral code on the head of a pin and still have room for the Mexican Constitution.  Soon, you’ll see why.

It always sound so fake, but the golderned DVR malfunctioned which is just as well.  I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy, but y'all are my Peeps so here you go.  Corrections and expansions welcomed!

A tearful Pedro and Fiorella profess their mutual love and Pedro searches Fiorella’s weepy eyes hopefully after she tells him she “loves him with her very life.”  Does she want a future with him?  Oh, it would be like a fairy tale, a dream; but such dreams don’t come true. . .because she is engaged and can’t go back on her word!  Would she marry without love?  Pedro doesn’t understand!  The only thing he understands is their love, not this absurd promise!  Fiorella remains firm despite her tears.  The best thing he can do is forget about her.  He agrees to respect her decision and wishes her a beautiful life at Viottorio’s side.

Osvaldo and Sonia are in their bedroom as he finishes packing for Monterrey.  They have the typical talk a man has when he’s married to someone like Sonia:  she must have slept with Fabio because she thought he would love her but who would love someone like her with no class or decency.  She’s just a “vulgar singer.”  Their love?  Oh, he thought he was in love back when he thought she was worth it.  One more thing.  If he finds out she slept with Fabio while he was gone, he swears he’ll kill her!

Julieta and Anibal are at a restaurant being closely observed by Sergio hiding in plain view behind a menu.  Julieta is listening to his lame-assed pleas to take him back because she believed the whole Roxi set up La Italiana thing.  He asks her to forgive him and even says he’ll get therapy.  Julieta is confused and refuses to play a little stupid game where he pretends to be meeting her for the first time.  Julieta needs to think and goes off to the powder room to hurl or something.  She is gone two seconds when Sergio drops some crappy pick up line on a woman who walks past him.  Sergio comes out of hiding and decks Anibal for deceiving Julieta.  The big jerk does go down this time.

Later at El Rancho Julieta scolds Sergio for slugging Anibal.  Well, he can’t stand how he disrespects and plays with her.  He tells her about him flirting with a woman in the restaurant.  To her accusation that he, himself, is a big flirt, he answers that it’s because he doesn’t have anybody to love.  If he had her he would love, protect and defend her.  He moves in for a kiss and she meets him more than halfway and really gets into it.

Gigi is startled by Gael who is sitting in the darkened kitchen of the employee’s quarters when she goes to the fridge that night.  Jeez.  Good thing he’s a good guy.  These ladies have no privacy whatsoever!  Anywho, he’s brought her the paperwork she needs to study in Mexico.  This can be a first step toward pursuing her medical career!  This earns Gael a big hug which he melts into with a sigh.

Fiorella makes Benito take her to La Dolce Vita to tell Vittorio the truth:  that she is NOT a swindler (estafador) and that he hid her all this time, it’s all his fault and she knew nothing of his whereabouts.  Both Fiorella and Vittorio agree they could kill him but Vitto dismisses him instead.  She is there.  That is all that is important.

Pedro is having a pity party with a bottle of Tequila and his Fairy Godfather (JudyB, take a bow!), Fidel.  Pedro is cryin’ and drankin’ tequila, tears and snot.   “I love her and she loves me!  In her world, a stupid promise means more than everything we feel!”  He wants to forget about everything!  Fidel doesn’t want to leave him like this but Pedro pulls rank and puts him out.

RPC.  Sonia, who was probably outside the door listening to the whole exchange scoops up the sloppy drunk Pedro, leads him into his own bedroom where he gets sloppy third or fourths from Sonia which he doesn’t remember in the morning and she claims HE was the one who insisted she come to his bed.  Ooooo, he’s a million times better than his cousin.  Yah.  You’re welcome.  I’m really restraining myself.  So she apparently stays there long enough for Pedro to get dressed  (I hope he showered).  This shouldn’t have happened!  Oh, but it did and it’s the first time she has felt she was important to a man.  Osvaldo mustn’t find out or he will kill them!  Pedro wears a scowl, Sonia wears a satisfied shit-eating grin.  She runs into Gael outside Pedro’s door.  She doesn’t look the least bit alarmed as she tells him not to tell a soul or “people might get the wrong idea.”

Fiorella continues her talk with Vitto at La Dolce Vita.  She’s sad, mentions Pedro and apologizes for this inconsiderate memory.  Where’s the ring he sent?  It was stolen with her other things.  No prob:  plenty more where that came from.  As soon as everything is cleared up, they’ll get married as soon as possible.  How ‘bout in two weeks!?  Fifi is open-mouthed impactada.  Vitto said they will start making arrangements right away.

Fifi and Gigi are making up their beds and Fifi relates how she made Benito tell Vitto the whole truth.  Gigi thinks the story of her being a swindler would have been better, then Fiorella could marry Pedro!  No!  Vitto brought them to Mexico with the best of intentions!  What about the 40 year old photo?  He did it for love, Fifi says.  Well then Gigi thinks she should break her engagement to Vitto and marry Pedro per amore,  por amor, for love!  Gigi doesn’t like that Fifi is STILL sacrificing herself!  What about Pedro?  Fifi answers that as long as they have each other, that’s all that matters.

A bit later Gigi is alarmed to learn that Vitto wants to get married in two weeks.  Did Fifi accept?  No, she told him she needed time to think but she HAS to marry him; it is a way of honoring their father.  But she doesn’t know how she’s going to stand the old coot.  (I called him that.  Fifi’s too nice.)

Diana and Vitto talk.  She thought she had found the man of her dreams.  She can’t believe that he’s dumped her for a stranger.  Vitto evenly says he didn’t make her any promises.  She cries that she is in love with him, kisses his mouth, then his cheek and embraces him.  Vitto seems unmoved.

There is a breakfast table scene, the whole gang is gathered, Eloisa at the head.  She’s all happy and Sonia sashays in with a big smile.  Everyone is there except Pedro.  Sonia grins that he should be there soon:  maybe something kept him awake last night.  Gael looks like he wants to either shit or go blind.

Benito runs into Fifi in the hallway of El Rancho.  He wants to talk to her but she wants none of it and tells him to bug off!  Pedro comes down the stairs just in time to pull rank and enforce Fifi’s request.  Pedro wants to talk to her.  He asks if she saw her novio.  She says he’s not her novio.  She manages to say that she didn’t want to marry Vittorio but she made a promise.  Skanky Sonia comes up and literally hangs on Pedro’s arm and refuses to leave.  Eloisa is waiting for him at breakfast so Pedro and Fifi’s conversation ends.

We find out Eloisa is in such a good mood because of the re-encounter with the WONDERful Aitana!  Aitana, my friend? Goes Roxi.  Draw your own conclusions about what this means for Aitana’s character.  Eloisa is sure she’s going to win back Pedro’s heart.  Who wouldn’t want such a cultured, beautiful, educated woman like Aitana?  Since the dog ate my recording, y’all will have to help me on this but basically Freddie made a hurtful crack about how much Anibal screws around on Julieta, she runs from the table all butt hurt.   Moments later Fifi finds her on the stairs crying and asks what is wrong.  Julieta asks if Fiorella is spying on her!  Because of Fiorella, she is not with her husband!  Fiorella protests her innocence:  it was Sr. Anibal who approached her several times.  Why not, asks Julieta.  You are very pretty.  Fiorella says no, she is very beautiful and must have had a lot of suitors.  No, just Anibal.  Julieta asks where Fiorella is from in Italy.  Maratera she answers.  Does Julieta know it?  Yes, she does.  “But I’m not going to talk to you about my travels, or my loves or anything else and I’ll ask you to do me the favor of staying far away from me from now on!”

Eloisa and Freddie have a little encounter.  Eloisa tries to scold Freddie for her hurtful mocking of Julieta’s marriage.  Freddie makes some cutting remarks about everyone in the family being after Maximo’s inheritance while she is just interested in her father’s fortune.  Freddie had mentioned the death of her father at the breakfast table as well.  I think Eloisa says that Freddie knows her father died penniless?  Please help here and/or I can watch hulu in the morning and fix it.

Anyway, with lots of interesting vocabulary I missed and much sickening coyness, Freddie tells Eloisa that Pedro and Fiorella have the hots for each other and they were seen together in Pedro’s car the other night.  Fiorella was crying not because of her soft heart for the novela-like love story of Pedro and Aitana, but because SHE wants Pedro.

Eloisa goes to see Pedro who is in the study on the phone with that well-worn piece of road known as Sonia whining about why he isn’t at El Corporativo.  He denies he’s avoiding her and finally realizes, “I ain’t got to offer you no explanations!” and he hangs up on her.  Granny gets right to the point.  What’s happening in this house?  Pedro says he was just talking to Sonia about some business stuff.  (Guilty much?)  She’s not talking about Sonia!

“What’s happening between you and Fiorella?”

Uh oh. This doesn't sound good. But your intro is awesome!

I stayed up late every night this week, so I am off to bed, but I look forward to reading your recap in the morning. It doesn't sound like I'll like the events though. Man, Lila... You always get stuck with these "take one for the team" episodes.

Thanks so much, Lila, for that excellent, detailed recap.

Oh. No. He. Dint. See what demon rum can do. Do you think that these two really did the deed, or is So-not just selling that tale. She is a dangerous combination of haughty, horny, and not verra smart. This new twist is verra frustrating. Pedro you dumb bunny. You just made a bad situation worse. What is wrong with you ?

Does anyone watch Beauty and the Beast? I was looking at scenes on YouTube, and The lead actor reminded me a little of Pedro..except he is a verra excellent kisser.

Get your rest, Sara! In the morning after you read the "events" of last night, you'll be glad you did! Thanks for stopping by, sorellina mia!

Susanlynn! Girl, can you believe this? I don't know what to believe! Did he boink the ho or not? Come. On! This is so fricking tiresome! He must be a bad mamma jamma if he can drank that much likker and be a million times better than. . .oh, I don't even want to talk about it. One thing I know is that Sonia is a BALD FACED, LOW-DOWN, ROUND-HEELED LIAR!!

Verra frustrating, indeed, amica mia! Grazie!

Gracias tanto, Lila! Good grief, what an episode. Grossness abounded. Uh, at least we get to share it with each other?

"The only thing he understands is their love, not this absurd promise." I'm with Pedro on this! I guess that makes me a terrible, dishonorable person. But, but...outdated picture! Come on, Fi!

"Julieta needs to think and goes off to the powder room to hurl or something." I vote "hurl."

"He’s brought her the paperwork she needs to study in Mexico." Soooooo romantic! What? Transferring credits is sexy.

"Pedro is cryin’ and drankin’ tequila, tears and snot." He's a sloppy drunk, that's for sure. I only hope he was way too sloppy to do anything he'll regret later. Uh, more than he already regrets waking up with Sonia or getting drunk in the first place.

As for Sonia--she tries SO HARD to pretend she's cold and manipulative and a pro at using sex as a weapon, but she's TERRIBLE at it! All anyone has to do is make fun of her and she looks like she wants to cry. She is way out of her league with these people, but she's sooooo determined to have the money and "respect." She had her brief moment of brilliance getting Fabio to threaten Osvaldo and keep the business deal from falling apart, but other than that? Shots in the dark.

"Vitto seems unmoved." Is it weird that I found that weird? Vito's not exactly dripping in babes, but here he's turning down a perfectly good golddigger who at least deigns to touch him, in favor of a scared girl 1/3 his age who he had to lie to to get her to marry him in the first place. Come on, Vito! This seems like a no-brainer!

"Aitana, my friend? Goes Roxi. Draw your own conclusions about what this means for Aitana’s character." Oh, the conclusions? They are drawn!

LILA, thanks Amiga--loved the recap! It was splendid, delightful. The ep, maybe not so much.

I found myself obsessing about personal care and undergarments.
Lila: "So she apparently stays there long enough for Pedro to get dressed (I hope he showered".
J in O: I hope he brushed his teeth, he had to have hangover fugue breath but he and Sonja were arguing nose to nose. Please, writers, show me a toothbrushing sequence. No amount of handsome will overcome the hangover fugue breath.

Does a drunk galan ever fall into bed with the designing woman and NOT believe that he did it while he was passed out? How many times have we seen this trope? At least Sonja didn't snap a photo of the two of them in bed.

J in Oregon

J, no, I guess not. If it were Roxi, she definitely would have taken an incriminating selfie. I don't know if Sonia would have thought about that or if she's counting on Pedro's sense of guilt.

Diva! Girl, I am so disappointed, I can't even do my Google-inspired Italian this morning! I thought we had escaped the drunk galan trope, but noooooh!

Widdle Pedwo need him biiiig Faiwy Godfodda to protect him from his weeee little head!

The whole thing is as sickening as that sounds! I could beat Pedro's ass! And Fifi, you need your little tail beat, too! Vittorio sent for them out of the best intentions and sent a 40 year old picture out of love? WHAAAT?

Vito's not exactly dripping in babes, but here he's turning down a perfectly good golddigger who at least deigns to touch him, in favor of a scared girl 1/3 his age who he had to lie to to get her to marry him in the first place.

You speak TRUTH, Diva!

We need a "Cussin' and Fussin'" table near the dart board. I'm at the head, it's an offshoot of the "Too emotionally involved" table! Yes, Diva, at least we can share with each other!

Mille grazie, sorellina!

Grazie, J in O! No, ho cake didn't snap a picture but I'm sure the "security" footage has them going in and her coming out all time-stamped, of course. Why didn't he put her out immediately? Que the hell?

This was wonderful, Lila! The events sounded like they sucked, but with snappy lines like "Gael looks like he wants to either shit or go blind." I couldn't help but laugh.

Thank you for putting up with that "well-worn piece of road" known as Sonia (another fabulous description and defective DVRs to bring us this excellent recap. What a treat to read with my cup of java.

Eloisa said that Frederica's dad died intestate. Makes me wonder if there really is a will somewhere and that's what Frederica is after.

Lila- Thank you for this early morning giggle. Shit or go blind was my favorite line. :)

Well, the writers did us a solid by not having the protags mad at each other anymore. But then obliterated those warm feelings by taking the few brain cells they both had, and tossing them in the trash. Fi, despite having right and reason on her side (and a hot hunk too) decides she MUST marry and old man and keep her ridiculous promise. And Pedro, despite being accosted by Sonia before, allows himself to fall into her trap, and at the very least was passed out drunk next to her in a bed all night. Gah!

I'm not surprised however. This is a standard Cinderella tn. It will be filled with all the standard cliches.

At least things are moving along well, if slowly, with Gi and Gael.

Oh Lila, you saved me a lot of grief by writing this hilarious recap of a gawdawful episode. And your "well-worn piece of road" description of Sonia is one I'll remember forever. I'm learning as much interesting English as I am Spanish on this site. So fun.

I recorded the show so maybe I'll just watch the tender scenes of Pedro and Fiorella's opening talk and skip the later carnage. As far as I know, dead drunk guys don't function well in the boinking department, but no one has ever informed the telenovela galans of this so they fall for the ruse every time.

Diana looks like a sharp-eyed ferret, but she's serviced Vittorio and it's for a good cause, financial support for her bebito, so I'm still rooting for that match. Two very flawed characters, but for centuries marriage has been a financial arrangement rather than a love match, so why not?

Lila, glad you enjoyed my characterization of Fidel as a big, burly,,bushy Godmother. He's so sweet, I could go for him myself! Work me into the script guys!

[TN Law 25.01-12 Sec. 9v] "The galan shall trust his virile ability to function in all situations including, but not limited to, skunk-drunkeness."

Hope you're keeping a list of all these rules. I love 'em.

Lol, JudyB! I was just thinking I need to start a list! I might do that today after checking plagiarism links for Kat.

Lila, thank you for wading through this carnage on our behalf, and for describing it with such wit!

Until last night, I was willing to believe that Sonia was acting the way she was because of a constant stream of verbal abuse from Osvaldo, and from the rest of the family. I think a more caring husband could have drawn a less cultured wife into situations where she could learn about things that mattered to him in an enjoyable way. But that ain't our Osvaldo! So I still don't know if Sonia is irrevocably damaged, or if she is reacting to a constant stream of verbal abuse and physical shunning from her husband, but it's beginning to look like, at her core, she just isn't that trustworthy of a gal.

As to whether Sonia actually succeeded in swapping DNA with Pedro, I just don't know. I think for sure that Fi would be doing more DNA swapping if Pedro was her husband than if she marries Vitto.

Gael and Gi are cutting a path to an interesting future. Hope he doesn't fall off the wagon or otherwise disgust her.

I can't tell if Sergio is really that selflessly into Julieta, or if she is just being subjected to another player's line.

Freddie never disappoints as a manipulative evil doer and pot stirrer.

So, despite your DVR issues, you gave us a fun and rollicking ride through this. Thanks again.

David

Hey..Sara, we are starting to think alike. I was just thinking that galans...well, maybe ALL guys...like to think that they can do it when they are drunk as a skunk...sedated for surgery...in the midst of a natural disaster....while under fire....Then, I read your comment. WORD

Sara, I didn't know that TN law had been codified so precisely. I thought the only requirement was to break each and every one of the Ten Commandments repeatedly, as well as all 613 mitzvot (I think).

So I hope that you will offer TN Law manuals for sale in the Patio store.

David

Sara..OT..Are you still knitting? Goggle "Outlander Knitting Patterns" I covet the gorgeous knitted itemns in the show. Winter is coming!!!!Maybe your offspring would appreciate a lovely handmade gift.

Lila, hope you are back to perky. And if the "dog" ate your recording, consider yourself lucky. This recap hit all the high points and then some. Personally, I'd like to forget a large junk of what I SAW.

I emphasis that because after the sweet albeit frustrating opening scene, my son from Atlanta called and I could watch the rest of the episode but didn't hear a word. Can I say, that's not a bad way to watch some of this. Especially anything with Vitto thinking he's George Clooney...which he is decidedly NOT!!

I thought I would change up the dart boards and instead of a picture I put up a sheet of paper with large type " I Love You but I made a promise to a lying old coot and I'm keeping my word." Have at it!!

Roxy and Aitana BFF's. Conclusions indeed are drawn and my dislike of "Cousin IT" is confirmed.

Skank-ho Sonia is pathetic. If we were supposed to feel bad for her, that went out the window last night.

I think it's going to be the Gael/Gianna story that may keep me roped in.

Daisynjay

Well, if anyone had any doubts that Serg was a metrosexual player, the sweater over the shoulders sealed it. I hate that look verra much. I could not stand it when Fernando adopted that style in one of his later novelas. NO...just ..no.

Did I see a promo for a movie starring Big Ed and Fernando ? Be still my foolish heart.

Sara! Sorellina e amica mia! Mille grazie! I feel better after a night's sleep and then going back to bed after checking in early this morning. Yah, sucky action on the part of our galan but Sara, I guess I am thankful to the DVR cause it allowed me to get done with the recap way before midnight!

Eloisa said that Frederica's dad died intestate.

Okay, I don't understand this in English, either. Does this mean he died without a will and testament?

Mia amica, Viviana! (that's me Italianacizing your name ;D) mille grazie!

Well, the writers did us a solid by not having the protags mad at each other anymore. But then obliterated those warm feelings by taking the few brain cells they both had, and tossing them in the trash.

You said, girl! Vivi, I will need the wise counsel you offer and the benefit of your vast novela experience to get through this:

This is a standard Cinderella tn. It will be filled with all the standard cliches.

Okay, deeeeeeeep breath! Exhaaaaaaaale! Grazie, Vivi!

Grazie tanto, amica JudyB! Girl, these novela galans could put Viagra out of business, hunh! These boys are baaad!

JudyB! Thank you for this on Diana and Vitto. I don't like that she lied about her son's death but you NAILED it and I'm rooting for them, too:

Diana looks like a sharp-eyed ferret, but she's serviced Vittorio and it's for a good cause, financial support for her bebito, so I'm still rooting for that match. Two very flawed characters, but for centuries marriage has been a financial arrangement rather than a love match, so why not?

We just know she's going to go after Fiorella or. . .hey! What if they work together!

JudyB, I'm going to go put you in the recap for your Fairy Godmother take on Fidel, cause it's perfect!

Sara [TN Law 25.01-12 Sec. 9v] "The galan shall trust his virile ability to function in all situations including, but not limited to, skunk-drunkeness."

HA! And DO keep a list!

David! Fratello mia! Grazie! You are such a gentleman:

it's beginning to look like, at her core, she just isn't that trustworthy of a gal.

Yah, you're right. Could be Ozzie has been right about her all along and you're also right that he wasn't up to the task of "civilizing" her with kindness.

I think I'm going with the "no boink" option but there is sufficient doubt for the "yes boink" option to be true as well. The important thing is that she's going to leverage the whole thing to her advantage and if she doesn't get pregnant -- probably already is BY FABIO -- I'll be shocked.

Go! Gael and Gigi! I think Sergio is for real and Freddie is dart board worthy but somehow she hasn't reached quite the levels of loathsomeness of some other villains. BUT, and it's a big BUT, I know she's not done yet!

Daisyyyyyyy! Grazie, mille grazie! Vitto thinking he's George Clooney. Hee hee!

Hey, I like that with stoopid phrases on the dart board, that way I don't have to whip Fifi's tail!

OMG! Cousin IT Girl, that is GREAT and should go in our notebook along with JudyB's Fairy Godmother characterization of Fidel!

Susanlynn, I thought that is actually an upcoming TN for Pasion y Poder they showed with C&S. I only caught the end but it made my heart happy. Hopefully Colunga doesn't try to play a 30 something. I love both guys, but would rather they play the sexy men of a certain age that they are.

Daisynjay

I eagerly look forward to reading your delicious recaps Lila. Your sensational snark was evident throughout, with "Julieta needs to think and goes off to the powder room to hurl or something" and "Yah. You’re welcome" making my day happy and sunny.

Kat, we are Totally on the same wave length regarding Vito. It amazes me he can be so dismissive with the luxury of casting off a relationship without nary a thought. Loving and charming? Hardly. I would have thought he would have clung to Diana for dear life. Instead, he eschews her "affections" in favor of a young beauty who cares for him not a whit, and is with him only because of some twisted sense of obligation. Umm, my beanie is where??

I can't blame Pedro for being heartbroken. I can blame Fiorella for being a twit.

At her current pace, is there anyone Sonia won't have slept with before this is over? Susanlynn, I don't think anything really happened between "So-not" (too funny) and Pedro.

I am upset Julieta dismissed Fiorella, but certainly understand why. I loved Sergio hiding "in plain sight" and he is becoming more appealing every episode.

"This earns Gael a big hug which he melts into with a sigh". He and Gi have palpable chemistry and I think Benito may be forced into the friend zone with the lovely sisters...

Vivi your "..then obliterated those warm feelings by taking the few brain cells they both had, and tossing them in the trash" describes the sad state of Pedro and Fi's romance perfectly.

Lila, sublime. Thank you, thank you.

Diana

Susanlynn and Daisynjay- There have been ads for the movie Ladrones starring Fernando and Ed, and ads for the upcoming telenovela starring Fernando (as an age appropriate villain) and Jorge Salinas.

…Pasion y Poder

It's interesting that we are upset with Sonia because she doesn't keep promises (vows), and with Fi because she keeps them too well.

David

David said:
Until last night, I was willing to believe that Sonia was acting the way she was because of a constant stream of verbal abuse from Osvaldo, and from the rest of the family.

I was too. I haven't even seen the episode and all my pity for her is gone.

Diana-I am also loving Sergio more with every episode...despite his fashion sense.

Daisynjay-Vito thinking he's George Clooney. Pow! What a humorous punch you've got there!

GENERAL
I have to confess that it has taken me a while to really enjoy this. Well, maybe I should say my enjoyment of this has been verrra up and down. Reading everyone's comments that have helped me see it through the lens of a fairy tale (and I mean straight up fairy tale, not just there are fairy tale elements) has really helped me enjoy it more consistently. Gracias, Patio!

OT
Susanlynn-I am willing to bet that Outlander Knitting is verrra complicated. While I've done some challenging things, I am more like a Garter Stitch Goddess. It's a pretty meditative exercise for me, so I stick to simple items like socks and dishcloths.

Daisynjay and Susnalynn- I so want to see that movie. As soon as it comes out on DVD I will be purchasing it!

It's verrra fun to use verrra.

Awesome Lila, all kinds of awesome!

"Pedro wears a scowl, Sonia wears a satisfied shit-eating grin"

"with that well-worn piece of road known as Sonia"

Yep Lila, died intestate means without a will or a legal/valid binding will. The state then disposes the property according to it's law of succession. I don't know what those are in Mexico and in the US, of course, varies by state. Last year I assisted a close friend who's partner passed away. They had been together for 35 years but legally prohibited to marry. There was a will but the validity of that will was challenged by a family member whom my friend's partner had been estranged for over 35 years. Thankfully the wishes of my friend's partner prevailed.

Perhaps a will is what Freddie believes exist.

So what's Fio's plan? She gonna give Eloisa a two week notice and tell the dressmaker to put a hold on the new uniform since she will no longer need that job. I didn't hear Fio discuss with Vitto living arrangements or if Gianna was still part of the deal. Or if she is, hear Fio tell Gianna not to get too comfortable cause she's moving too.

There's a Buffet song, "Why don't we get Drunk an' screw" that can rouse with intent the masses but there is also a football term PUP "Physically Unable to Perform" which can keep you from gettin in the game.

Thank you Lila for the much needed recap. You really did take one for the team. I had a feeling this episode was going to be extra poopy so I had to refrain myself from watching the episode or else. I think all of us wants to "either shit or go blind" too after last night.

Right now, I am #TeamGaGi (a portmanteau of my current top OTP, Gael and Gigi, since the PeFi (or Fidro?) ship seems to be sinking at the moment due to Fi's stupidity). Seriously, I think it's in the TN lawbook that if there is no external force breaking up the main OTP, it's themselves. It's also probably in the TN lawbook that Sonia will become pregnant with Fabio's baby, but will say it's Pedro's.

Sara, if you really do write that TN lawbook, I will preorder a hundred of them.

Kat and Diana, I am with you about Vito. He is shady AF, maybe that's why he is always wearing sunglasses. Maybe Benito and Diana can plot to steal Vito from Fi. It's a win-win situation, except maybe for Benito.

What is two weeks in TN time? I hope they don't drag the wedding out so long, while Fi goes back and forth beween loving Pedro and keeping her promise. Looks like I will be all worked up for a while, someone will need to fan me as I continue with this TN.

Grazie, Lila. This story is taking its inevitable turn into crazyville.

Sonia definitely is out of her league here. I wonder whether her IQ is normal. She may be beautiful on the surface, but she seems to fit the cliche of that being at the expense of brains.

I'm sure she doesn't know about the surveillance camera that caught the entrance and exit into Pedro's room. I also hope it caught that Pedro was dead drunk.

If anyone is going to get a case of ED in this series it will be Vittorio if there is a wedding. He should be ashamed of himself deceiving a vulnerable young woman like Fiorella and expecting to marry her after she discovers the deception. She should elope with Pedro immediately.

sara, I heard that about Fed's dad dying intestate as well...but I'm still confused, because I would have thought that would make Fed his heir by default. Instead somehow it was his brother? I suppose all will be revealed "at the proper time." Ain't that always the way.

JudyB, I snorted at "sharp-eyed ferret" for Diana!

Daisynjay, I'm in to throw some darts at the "I love you but I made a promise" board.

Lila, great idea. Let's have Diana help Fi out of the goodness of her...I mean, the goodness of Vito's pocketbook.

Diana, I think my beanie for this one is in the shape of some kind of outrageous hat. Not quite a Fed hat, though. Something more...flamboyant. There may be feathers involved.

David, oh, no, I'm not upset with Sonia for not keeping her vows. I actually liked her more for doing that. See how terrible I am!

Caroline, I think Benito's just optimistic enough that he'd help get Fi away from Vito first and then worry about getting her away from Pedro later. I agree, I hope they don't drag out the pre-wedding timeline too much.

Urban Anthropologist, I'm beginning to think the surveillance cameras are only used to make sure people keep their feet off the furniture. So many "mysteries" that could have easily been put to rest by now if anyone had bothered to check the recordings.

Caroline - I'm sort of partial to Fidro. GaGi is cute. Gaelianna could work, but it's way too much typing effort.

Back from a housework break! Let's see what's up!

Diana! Mille grazie! Oh, so nice to begin my break with your always warm and inspiring words of appreciation! It seems as clear day that Julieta/Fifi and Quina/Roxi are Mommy/Daughter. Fifi may have taken after her (putative) mother with her "reasoning" that it's Fiorella's fault that she is not with Animal! What scatterbrained thinking! Just like Fiorella thinking she owes that lying, dying on the vine Vitto her hand in marriage. That's the kind of thinking that has led Julietta to her self-inflicted life of suffering and will do the same for Fiorella!

"dying on the vine"

That's awesome!

What really bothers me about Vito is I can't seem to hate him because of the actor. In Lola érase una vez, he played God. He's carrying himself and saying the lines just like he did there and all I see/hear is him sending Alexander back to Earth to be with his one true love Lola.

He was a total bastard in Amores Verdaderos, but I don't see that here.

It didn't help that at the beginning, he and Benito were almost comic relief.

David It's interesting that we are upset with Sonia because she doesn't keep promises (vows), and with Fi because she keeps them too well.

Well, Sonia swore a vow before Osvaldo, her family and friends and God to honor her marriage and keep herself only unto Osvaldo. Just as I said a few weeks ago, I think part of Osvaldo's constant anger is that Fabio was not the first time Sonia cuckolded him. Perhaps he's partially angry at himself for not dumping her and I don't know why he doesn't. He has a comfortable life, a good position in a solid company and if he could stop growling, he's a good looking guy. Who knows. Anywho, Sonia's flagrant violation and mocking of her vows earns me nothing but contempt and I suspected and stated earlier that the constant sniping by the vultures was probably something she has earned. We all teach people how to treat us.

Fiorella? This is a whopp-sided promise. This man deceived his friend's (their father) daughter. How is this honoring him? Fiorella shouldn't lightly overlook Vittorio's deception. She is generally so assertive and upfront; how can she accept this injustice?

Right? Fi's dad asked Vito to help her. I seriously doubt he meant deceive her and marry her!!

Sara! It verra much helps me to know this is a Fairy Tale! Complete with a burly, bushy, Fairy Godfather -- thanks again, JudyB!

Tofie! Yaaaay! Always glad to see you on the Patio, girl! Thank you, and Sara, for that bit on "died intestate". I wonder what papers Freddie stole from Granny's safe. Surely not her father's will? Guess we'll have to wait a while for that!

Good questions on Fifi's plan as well. What WILL she do now that she expects to honor that ridiculous promise? Diana is not going to stand by with her brazos cruzados so this ought to get interesting!

Caroline! Benvenuta mia cara! Yes, I'm glad I accurately represented the "poopy" nature of this episode. I am #Team GaGi as well, and you win the word of the day: portmanteau That is, a cool word that I have to look up and have never used or maybe even seen! Yay! That may be an easy prize to win because I don't claim the biggest vocabulary, but that still a cool word!

I want SOMEbody to help rid Fiorella of Vitto. Gosh! Would the TN gods let them actually marry? I'll need Patio Therapy!

Urban! Amica erudita! Grazie! Hey, here's a great idea:

She should elope with Pedro immediately. I like it!

I don't really get upset at Sonia only for her amorous adventures. She married a jerk, lost her baby, and her marriage seemed to go south. To me having a jerk of a husband is not a get out of jail free card to have affairs, play fast and loose with others' lives and manipulate at business. She seems a smart cookie in some respects, so she could have had an option of doing something more constructive with her life. Instead, she chooses to deceive and play the back stabbing card to be able to live the good life complete with the requisite big house, clothes and standing as the rest of the money-grubbers in the house. Heck, if she helped Osvaldo get all the goodies, wanna bet she would divorce him for all he's worth? I give her one pass...so far I don't think she is capable of anything worse. I leave that with Freddy. But, yeah, can't see sitting at her table any time soon.

Daisynjay

Just watched the scene with Gael giving Gianna the paperwork. Gotta go with Diva. Oh hell yes that was sexy.

Hey, girl.... I like smart and educated ladies.

I'm not even mad at Vitto. Other than sending an old photo and giving Fio a reason not to be with our galan he's not a horrible guy. I ask myself what would have happened to Gianna and Fio had Vitto not bailed them out? Also, despite his advanced age, Fio still wants to honor her end of the deal (she can't even give the money or ring back if she wanted) and would have already married but she got lost. Let's see, old rich guy that was friends of daddy willing to take on a not so bright cute young woman with no skills and her really, really sick sister, deal.

Having said that Fio has a weird sense of fair play. On one hand she insist on fulfilling the offer of matrimony and acceptance of money and a ring but was ok with theft of the diary, a little extortion and nondisclosure of her promise to marry another when Pedro showed interest. I'm not sure her elevator goes all the way to the top.

Sara You might remember that I was feeling empathy for Vitto in the beginning of the show and was mad at Benito for keeping Fiorella from him! I was all like, "let the old dude get some lovin'!" While I don't HATE him hate him, as you say, I do wonder what I was smoking!

Damn, Tofie I could just copy your whole comment! I feel you and Sara on Vitto. Fiorella made the same argument as you made above to Pedro. I don't want him drawn and quartered but I DO want Fifi to elope or something!

I'm hoping it will be fun to see how she gets out of the promise or how she fends off fulfilling her "marital duties" if they DO marry. What I'm sorry to have to deal with his Skank-ho's holding her drawers over Pedro's head as a threat and the inevitable pregnancy. GAH! I will DEFinitely be hanging out at the Fussin and Cussin Table!

I do remember that, Lila. I vaguely remember being very frustrated with Benito at the time too. His lying seemed so useless.

And I get it, tofie. I wish they could have gotten Fi and Gi to the ranch without having to extort Pedro. It kind of dulls the squeaky clean image a fairy tale princess should have.

Oh wow. Jose Ron does not do a convincing indignant drunk. I'm finding it comical.

I really need to stop comment bombing.

No you don't Sara! I love it. Naw. His pretty crying at the end of your episode was better!

Trust me Lila, you don't want me comment bombing while I'm watching. "Oh what an awful coat, Sergio." and "No, Julieta. A woman your age should not wear princess sleeves." adds nothing to the conversation. Lol.

Lila, "Just like Fiorella thinking she owes that lying, dying on the vine Vitto her hand in marriage. That's the kind of thinking that has led Julietta to her self-inflicted life of suffering and will do the same for Fiorella!"

Oh Lila, so inspired! Loved it.

Sara, I love the actor too and could listen to him talk in perpetuity. I find his voice very soothing.

Diana

I want César Evora and Enrique Rocha in a show together. Or doing audio books in Spanish. Mmm.

Great idea Sara.

Wouldn't even need to watch - Enrique and Cesar's dulcet tones would be a treat for the senses.

Diana

The actor playing Vitto was a nasty villain in the remake of Corazon Savaje. He hated Big Ed Yanez's character verra , verra much. Since I think of Anibal as Dances with Sunglasses from AV, I have now started to think of Vito as Old with Sunglasses.

We could go with Giga..as in, "It is verra hard to dust in here because if all your gigas.

These tn characters are usually just too good or just too bad, as opposed to the more realistic verra good and verra bad .

I just read a book about a princess who had a recharge her sparkle...good advice for us all....Susanlynn looking for her sparkle recharger

Grazie, Diana I think it IS Vitto's voice. He's probably talked his way into the, er, heart of many a lady. We may not see his babes, but I bet you they are there!

Sara I want César Evora and Enrique Rocha in a show together. Or doing audio books in Spanish. Mmm.

Oh, goodness! They could do "Teach Me Spanish" tapes as well as read some of the great classic Spanish language novels and I could go right to sleep and learn them while I zzzzzzz.

Susanlynn, I know one galan who needs to recharge HIS sparkle after dipping his wand in the dank waters of Sonia! Blech! He's not dead to me but he IS tarnished!

Fi owes Vito NOTHING. It was made clear in the beginning that Vito owed Fi's dad a huge favor, and he was calling it in by asking him to help his daughters. Unfortunately, he died before he could tell the girls what it was. Even Vito acknowledged to himself that he owed their father. But once he started wooing Fi, he made no mention of this and made it seem like 1) he was helping them out of the goodness of his heart and 2) Fi needed to pay him back by marrying him. I'm betting that whatever Fi's dad did for him, a few pesos, a ring, and a plane ticket does not come close to covering it.

Lila.eww .Let's hope that Sonot is conning Pedro and there was no actual wand dipping in anything dank. (Lila, that was a verra interesting word picture you painted there.) Gah

Vivi! Preach, sorellina! Grazie for reminding us of those facts! They are very important! Now, if somehow Fiorella could be clued in!

Susanlynn Grazie, my dear! I love word pictures! Yah, In my heart of hearts I don't think he did either but just by waking up nose to nose with Sonot (Gosh, that's great) the next morning STILL leaves him in need of some sparkle-recharging!

So whatever is eating my comments today. So frustrating...

Anyway, asking the patio to once again help out in case I missed something early on.

So we hear that Vito owed the girls' father a favor and at the same time we are being set up with hits to the head that Julietta could very well be Fi's mother.

Now, F&G's father was notably an older man, and seemed to be a sweet man. The person we saw in the Julietta flashback didn't seem to be such a nice guy. And I doubt that Julietta would have had TWO daughters and left them both. Hints only point to Fi. So that would make Fi and Gianna half-sisters and there is another sperm donor out there?

I have my theory which gives me the creeps to think about, but just want to know right now if I missed anything that did point to the girls not having the same mother? Otherwise I'm starting to wonder about the Fi & Julietta set up, which doesn't hint at Gianna and having this secret favor hanging out there. Being a "secret"--all points have to point to someone in our story.

I'm SOOOO confuuuuussssed.

Sitting at the Baffled Brain Table.

Daisynjay

I'm pulling up a chair next to you, Daisynjay. Those are definitely details that would make my head hurt.

Daisynjay- Since I don't believe Fi's recently deceased dad, nor Vitto, are the same person as the hunk in the shower who is her apparent sperm-donor. This means that Fi and Gi are not related by blood. As far as we know/guess, Fi's bio parents are Juli and shower hunk, and Gi's parents are the two people they both believe were their parents. It could be that Gi was also adopted, but that's another set of bio parents we haven't met yet. And going along your line of thinking, sure, Vitto could be a candidate, but you would think he would have made some comment o himself or shown more of a fatherly interest if the favor done for him was taking a baby off his hands.

But could Vito be the father of shower guy?

Ew. NO. Never mind.

GAH! Seriously. Just grossed myself out.

Should I delete that?

LOL. Don't erase it. All theories should be thrown out there.

Blech. I wish there was some way to warn people...

Ok. Watching the episode now. The fact that Sonia lies to Pedro that he forced her into his room makes me believe that everything else she said about what happened was also a bald faced lie.

Although I'm annoyed at Fi for believing she has to marry Vitto, I'm very glad she didn't go along with Benito and Gi's harebrained plan to make Vitto think she's a swindler. There have already been enough lies. And what if he decided to bring trumped up charges against her? If she's going to break things off with him, she should do it on the principle that she doesn't love him, doesn't owe him, and doesn't believe in marrying out of obligation.

Thanks for the recap. Oh Sonia and Osvaldo are such a strange couple. I wonder why they did not divorce when they lost their baby if that was the reason they got married. Maybe Osvaldo indeed was in love with Sonia when he married her and still loves her in a sick and obsessed way though. For a rich guy like him that can have all the women he wants only love or the illusion of forming a family could have made him take such drastical decision despite perhaps his grandparents dint approve that relation. Maybe the loss of their baby and everybody criticizing him for having such an ulcultured wife made him hate her.

Lila, this was a snarkingly good recap. And a
Pretty good show too.
I to would like to know how fiorella will stand
The old coot, and gigi should have said "old
Coot" gigi is very out spoken, but I guess the
Writers don't see her that way.
I think promises made should be kept. Fifi's
Feelings about her promise and her love for
Pedro are equaly stronge. He (pedro) thinks
She cares more for the promise than their
Feelings for each other, no shes just stuck in
The middle, the girl got a delimma!!!!
And why is julieta staying with that jerk? I
Think she can do better. Sergio, I think shes
The one that got away.
I hope pedro tells granny the truth "I love fifi"
And watch her blow a gasket. I don't know
What kind of person aitana is, but I don't like
Her much, shes just interference between pedro and fiorella. Go back where you came
From goldylocks. I hope them being in love
Wont get her fired. Granny may not like the
Help fratenizing with the family members.

Hey, Marla! Osvaldo and Sonia are a case, aren't they? I think he was attracted to her physically and didn't think through the differences in their backgrounds. She probably hit him with her best shot early on, thus sealing the deal and conceiving their baby. I think maybe she really was pregnant and was going to change but after the loss fell back to her old ways after the hyenas started nipping at her heels. Her old ways? As Diva said, using sex as a weapon to secure a place with the Angeles clan but apparently she's literally been screwing up thus bringing on the wrath of Ozzie and the hyenas. I wonder how she's going to play the "Pedro slept with me" card. Hmmm, wonder if Gael will tell his brother what he saw. Yeah. She's out of her league, she's a mess.

Hey, Nina! Yep, all viewpoints welcome. I suppose Fiorella can be admired for her integrity about the promise to marry Vitto, but Tofie made an excellent point earlier:

Having said that Fio has a weird sense of fair play. On one hand she insist on fulfilling the offer of matrimony and acceptance of money and a ring but was ok with theft of the diary, a little extortion and nondisclosure of her promise to marry another when Pedro showed interest.

So, on the extortion one could say it was a desperate move to save Gianna's life and she had no other options. However, not telling Pedro about Vitto once he showed he was interested in her and even after having asked her a couple of times, that's a horse of another color. Anywho, like I said, all viewpoints welcome!

Yah, Nina, can't wait to see Granny's reaction or, wait. Pedro will probably lie. I can't see him confessing his love for Fiorella after she's told him she's going to fulfill her promise to marry Vitto. Pedro and Fifi didn't get a chance to talk at all because of that lecherous leech, Sonia!

Hi Lila. Oh poor gael I feel sorry for him. How can a sweet guy like him have a crazy brother like osvaldo? Obviously gael is not going to say nothing about sonia and pedro to his brother. He knows osvaldo would set up on fire and do stupid things if he tells him. Oh he knows perfectly that osvaldo tried to kill pedro in the hunting stuff. Oh gosh. Sonia is only going to make worse her marital situation with Ozzy. Does she think that he is going to let her leave him so she can be with his cousin? Oh she is dumb.

And oh I dont understand Fiorella. Maybe she is putting the pretext of that stupid promise to Vittorio because she doesnt want to accept she is marrying the old man for money, in some way he purchased her. Fiorella knows that pedros family is never going to accept her as his wife, even she was witness of how he always hided his relationship with tania because grandma would not approve it.

I really hate this martyr complex that seems so obligatory on some TN heroines. If Gia weren't terminally ill Fiorella would be running from Vittorio. She is not a gold-digger.

I don't think Mario would have wanted her to marry Vittorio, knowing this would make her miserable. He would think she deserved a man who's within a few years of her own age who would love her the way she deserves and not as some trophy, which is all she would be to Vittorio. There is no question that if this disaster of a wedding happens everyone who knows Vittorio will think he's some lucky dog... for about five minutes. After that they might think him a blind fool because no girl that young would marry him for any other reason than his dinero.

It's hard to call it at this point whether Vittorio will remain delusional or whether he will turn nasty. He has never been married (or so he says) but he hasn't been a monk. He should know better than this. He should also think about whether Mario would have approved of his actions.

Buongiorno, Peeps of the Muchacha Patio!

Marla, you make a good point about Gael. He knows his brother is impulsive and has an explosive temper and he covered for him with the police more for the sake of the family than for Osvaldo's own sake. I think you're right, he won't intentionally tell.

Also agree that Sonia is So-not (who coined that) the crafty seductress she thinks she is: Does she think that he is going to let her leave him so she can be with his cousin? Oh she is dumb. Amen, sister.

And Urban, I think you've got the answer on FioRELLA: "martyr complex." Gianna has called her on it several times, not in those words but Gianna does NOT want Fiorella sacrificing her life and happiness for her!

Urban, and Vivi made this point earlier as well, that Mario would NOT have wanted or expected Fiorella to marry Vittorio. Helping the girls financially is what Vittorio owed Mario. Vitto could have well still sent for them, helped them with an apartment and perhaps employed Fiorella in his restaurant. This instant love thing is just an old codger trying to get a pretty young thing like Fiorella, yes as a trophy wife.

What the heck did Mario do for Vitto? Somehow I am remembering Mario having helped him get his start in Mexico way back when. Don't know how Mario and the girls ended up living from hand to mouth. The lived very humbly but Mario obviously was too proud or principled to call in his favor before it became absolutely necessary so I KNOW he wouldn't have agreed with Fiorella marrying Vitto. Vitto, on the other hand did NOT think for one moment whether Mario would have approved but saw returning the favor to Mario as a chance to "cash in."

Oh well, they do flashbacks so maybe we will get more of this backstory as we go along. The whole parentage of Fifi and Gigi, I can't EVEN imagine!

Lila- I've made up this story in my head that Mario helped Vito flee the mob. Or start a satellite mob in Mexico. One of those two.

I feel much better and thanks Vivi for your reliable calming words of wisdom. What would we do without you?

And Sara, welcome my dear to the Baffled Brains table and we will enjoy a couple glasses of chianti while we try to see where the blazes this is going. I give it to the writers, they sure are weaving a rather complicated web of intriguing who is related to who and why do they hate each other. Good thing this is a lighter tale so all this isn't spilling to murder and mayhem. (And yeah, don't worry,Sara I went there with Fi actually being related to Vitto. Stomach churning indeed.)

Is it odd that the one thing I'm looking forward to is how Fi gets to wear her hair once she actually has a new work day with that god-awful dress? I mean, seriously, she keeps wearing the pig-tail braids, even without the scarf, and I will want to shake someone. Why bother "dressing her up" when she still looks like a dressed up kitchen wench? I'll settle for one braid, but would love to see it down and soft again or some more "professional" look. We get she's supposed to be Cinderella. Need to show up Cousin It.

Daisynjay

Sara! Yaaaaah! I like your theory! Makes as much sense as any. Please, let's remember that one!

Blergh! It's such a gross theory! *shudder*

And may I just say that the only time I liked Livia Brito's hair was in TdA. *meow*

I don't think Sonia's scheming is related to the family's treatment of her, other than both happening in the same time, at the same place. She could be the sweetest person in he world, completely devoted to Osvaldo, and they'd still harass her because they think she's not good enough for them. That's just how they are. And divorce isn't an option for Osvaldo. Granny might not like his wife, but she'd dislike the "scandal" even more. Possibly, if Sonia wanted out, and she squirreled away enough money for an amazing lawyer, she could get a divorce. But she thought bubbled in the church that no one ever treated her with any respect before she was a member of the family. That's not something that would be easy to give up, especially if she meant literally "no one". Half (or more) of all Osvaldo's worldly goods aren't going to make up for that. She needs the name.

I'm in agreement with everybody who doesn't think Mario had "marriage" in mind when he asked his old friend to help his daughters. And he'd probably be pretty skeeved that Vito's trying to extort a marriage out of this deal.

Perhaps we need some Fantasy Punch to go with those Suspended Disbelief Fairy Cookies.

Here's my recipe : 1 container of rainbow sherbert
1 bottle of lemon lime soda
1 bottle of Cranberry Cocktail.
This punch gets nice and foamy if you pour the soda in quickly. It was a big hit every year at The Spring Fantasy dance. For this telenovela, I would add some liquor..a lot of liquor..your choice.

I think some rum would go great with that, Susanlynn :D

That sounds tasty!

Lila - thank you for the recap!

Please save a seat for me at the Baffled Brains Table on the Patio. I'll have an order of the SDFC cookies and rum infused Fantasy Punch, too. We are selling plastic telenovela beanie hat covers ( think: shower or rain cover style) in case the crowd gets rowdy and punch & cookies go flying at the dart board. Available by tomorrow's episode from MetaMart. Unless the store has changed names? Or my memory has failed?

Thanks y'all.

Hey,let's get out the red checkered tablecloths ,put candkes in some old chianti bottles, and make a playlist. I'm hoping for some spotlight dances.

Susanlynn - May I request Dean Martin's "That's Amore" for the playlist?
And Tiramisu foe dessert? Or gelato?

:-)

I'm ready! Let's drink and throw cookies! (I just ordered my beanie from doris.)

I am sending out "Volare" by Bobby Rydall. And I 'd like to dedicate " What a Fool Believes" by Michael MacDonald to Vito.

Hey, Doris! Mille gratzie, amica! Plastic covers (or those old plastic rain scarves from the 50s and 50s) to cover the beanies is mandatory, cause I'm at the Fussin and Cussin Table and we DO get rowdy!

I would like O Sole Mio added to the playlist. EVERYbody's done it, new or old version. If there's enough rum in the Fantasy Punch, it really won't matter!

Here's my song request:

https://youtu.be/sFacWGBJ_cs

Never heard of it, but it can be used EVERY day on Muchacha!

:D

I once made up a playlist I called "Cousin Vinnie's Wedding" which had all the great Neopolitan love songs and Nino Rota's score from The Godfather. My first request would be "Mala Femmena" by Jimmy Roselli. I think that describes both Sonia and Aitana.

Wow, Urban! What a beautiful, powerful voice and the words, Yah, pretty much Sonia and Aitana has yet to reveal her badness though having dumped Pedro nearly at the altar and being Roxi's friend, I'm sure it fits her! Thanks!

Here's another:

Love Theme From "The Godfather" (Speak softly Love) - Johnny Mathis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOtjkonj0y0

My God, this song is so beautiful, it makes me want to cry every time I hear it! (Hmmm. Makes me want to drink wine, too!) And the lyrics!

The only thing about that song that shocks me is that the lyrics weren't written in Italian.

Here ya go!

Parla piu piano - The Godfather song lyrics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCv_9i4f1TE

OKAY.... now we need that to be sung by Marcelo Alvarez.

okay..To get your morning started, may I suggest going to YouTube to hear the song I dedicate to the happy ending we all know we will eventually have....Every 1s a Winner by Hot Chocolate...not Italian , but it will get your motor running as you head out on the highway.
You're welcome.♥

Great song suggestions! I'm going to have to add all them to my "Muchacha Italiana" Pandora station. I've been having a hard time getting it to understand the sound I'm going for. This might help.
