Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #22 Wed 9/23/15 (Mex 29) Talk about a bad first date
Oh man, talk about a bad first date!
Well folks, the truth is OUT. Vito and Fifi meet, and Pedro is all sorts of confused, and Fifi is heartbroken and this is all so freaking sad. Curse you Benito! All of this could have been avoided if he had told Fifi the truth from day one! More on that in a second!
Both Pedro and Vito are asking for explanations, Fifi tells Vito that she got lost at the airport and when he leaves she tells Pedro what happened. After her dad died she and Gigi had no one else in the world, Gigi's health kept getting worse and when Vito offered help (on the condition that she marry him) Fifi took him up on the offer, she explains about getting lost and looking for Vito and failing to find him. It looks like Pedro is not buying it, Vitto the returns to the table and they both begin to question her, she becomes overwhelmed and runs out of the restaurant, where she bumps into Benito.
Benito offers Fifi a shoulder to cry on and that's when Fifi has flashbacks and remembers that Benito worked for Vitto. She becomes more distraught when she realizes that he kept her away from Vitto and lied to her-Benito tries to justify himself by saying he did it out of love, he fell in love with her the moment he saw her. This sends Fifi running.
Inside the restaurant Vitto gives Pedro his side of the story, he tells him he and Fifi had a short courtship over e-mails and letters, that her love for life made him fall in love with her and blah blah blah.
Benito catches up to Fifi and says he will take her home, Fifi agrees on the condition that Benito keep his trap shut during the ride. When they get home Fifi tells Gigi what went down and Gigi tells her not to lose hope, there's always a solution!
In other news:
Osvaldo is furious when he learns that Fabio wants to sue him and blames Sonia for it.
Eloisa and Roxy have another show down, Roxy is left in tears and then she makes Joaquina cry by being a total jerk to her.
We learn that Gael got kicked out of medical school because he was stealing and taking pills.
Gael and Roxy realize someone is setting them up (took them long enough!)
Back to Fifi, the next morning she learns from Adela that she too knew where to find Vitto and kept the information to herself in order to help Benito, "I thought I had made a life for myself in Mexico, I thought I had friends and over night my whole life came crashing down..." says Fifi to Adela before hanging up on her.
Gigi is also super upset at Benito for making a fool out of her and Fifi from day one, she never wants to speak to him again!
Fifi arrives to start her job for Eloisa, Eloisa tells her she will be getting a new uniform and tells her she will turn her into a princess! She asks Pedro for his opinion and Pedro (who has resolved to forget Fifi) says he does not have an opinion on what her workers do, it's enough that they be honest and not lie, just then Dante introduces Atina and Eloisa introduces her to Fi as the most important woman in Pedro's life (okay...)
And that's it for me today! See ya all next week!

No apologies needed for this. It's perfect!
Thanks for blasting this out and then getting yourself off to work lady. You're a treasure, which is more than can be said for the despicable Roxana. Although frankly, I wish Joaquina would stiffen her spine a bit, instead of this constant bowing and scraping before the spoiled brat. She's just asking for abuse and she gets it. Mother love sometimes needs to be tough love.
Are we in for a long miserable period of Love Gone Wrong? I'm hoping that Diana will put short work to Vittorio's marital pretensions. She doesn't look like a woman who's going to be content as "segunda mesa".
I had to watch this through my fingers-- it was like watching a dreadful train wreck. Ack! I hated that Vitto just glossed over the fact that he sent Fio a 30 year old picture, and she and Pedro let him get away with that. I was glad that Pedro pointed out that Fio is a CHILD compared to Vitto, but wish he had pushed this point more and been more firm with Vitto about how ridiculous this all is.
Judy- True. Diana will not stand aside and let Fio take her wallet/man. But I only see her causing Fio more headaches, not helping her.
Only good scene of the night was Gael and Gianna in the kitchen late at night. Is he completely clean and sober now, or would being around the drugs in a hospital still set him off?
Wow, that romantic, horsey happiness did not last long. Poor Fi. She has to deal with old Vito and young Aitana. Girl cannot catch a break.
All I can about last night was well, that was depressing. I guess we now move to TN Part 2-- or I guess harkening back to my youth, a Fractured Fairy Tale.
I am so with you Judy on Pedro/Jose. He looked like a petulant child last night and his face goes all pouty when he's mad. Honestly, even when he's smiling I hate that hair, but when you're ticked at him it does because a bigger focus.
I already went on record with these quick "I love you's" that hit couples at the start of TN's and then one of them jumps right into the mire immediately to believe the worst about the other and won't hear what they have to say. And when we have these prince and maid type set ups, or rich guy/poor girl or vice versa, the stubborn party always gets so damn demeaning. Now I'm sure we get to watch Fifi be depressed and treated like garbage by everyone but Eloisa for lord knows how many episodes. Guess it was too much to hope for that Pedro would actually believe her and form a united front against the world.
Vitto is an ass. Benito is not much better. All these guys act like she should be dancing a jig because they all declare their love...which is stupid since they don't know her at all. Man I so wanted Fifi to haul off and let loose some slaps last night.
My only remaining hope is we get a sweet Gael/Gianna pairing while the rest is so depressing. He grows up and she gets happy and healthy (I can see it--he loves her and her illness will encourage him to go back to med school. Hey I need some real fairy tale story here.) Wonder what kind of slicing and dicing of the show we get now.
Can I also add--Aitana looked like a mess walking in that door last night. Photo ready for the dart board.

Of course, we knew Fiorella wouldn't tell Pedro about Vitto beforehand and now with the arrival of Aitana, I think the whole dang novela will be "long lost love!" Aaaargh!
Quina is not the only one who needs to grow a spine! Pedro is just going to let Grammy bring his X to the Rancho one day and declare she is "the most important woman in his life"? C'mon Pedro, grow a spine and grow a pair!
I really want Fio to stop weeping and to tell off Vitto, Pedro and Benito.
I'm not angry at Pedro at all. He was totally blind sided with this and he did let her explain. Benito knew, Fio knew and Vitto knew. Pedro started the night with high hopes and ended knowing the girl he hoped to marry accepted the marriage proposal of another man and now that man showed up. I never heard Fio say she is not going to marry Vitto nor did she apologize to Pedro.
I understand being mad at Benito but he didn't ruin her life, Fio got her hopes up for another guy but had she not gotten lost at the airport she would be married right now to Vitto.
Who are he allies now? Simona, Fidel, Gael? and Sergio?
I didn't like the way thing went last night and was relieved to see I'm not alone.
It was I interesting to watch how Vito kept putting off Diana.
Vivi - I see what you mean by Fi letting Vito give her hell and not saying a word about bringing her to Mexico under false pretenses.
What I didn't like more than the whole restaraunt/date gone to hell scene was that damned Benito rushing to the restaurant and being the one who took Fifi home. Not sure why he "has to" be in love with her yet he has the nerve to run around acting territorial over Gianna as well? What good is Benito anyway? Whatever.
With no other couples we even want to see peck each other on the cheek, we're in for another novela-lovin' drought. Sigh.
I also found the episode very depressing. There was so much guilt and angst, confession for some and denial for others.
Fiorella was in a no win situation. I detested Vito tried to make himself appear to be the injured party. How loathsome.
Benito was wrong but I have a soft spot for the actor...Even if he wasn't smitten with Fiorella, I don't think he wanted Fiorella and Gi to fall into Vito's vulture clutches.
tofie, I wasn't upset with Pedro either tofie. He didn't storm off and did listen. He's hurt. He will get over it.
The patio's comments were fantastic. "Big Lips Aitana" had me laughing out loud and Fractured fairy tale indeed daisy!!
Lila, "novela-lovin' drought". Oh noes!!! I hope Pedro and Fi clear things up and quickly!
Diana
Point. Now he doesn't trust fifi. Did yall see
The look on his face when goldylocks came
Waltzin in? Like" what the hell". I think hes
Pissed at granny. And fiorella looks all of
Confussed. Should be interesting tonite.
I'm sad for Pedro. I'm sad for Fiorella.
I'm angry at Vito. I don't buy his innocent, wronged act. I think he's being manipulative rather than being honestly stumped at why Fi wouldn't still want to marry him.
I'm sad for Adela.
I don't really have any feelings about Aitana, but the fact that she stood there last night and let Eloisa call her the "most important woman in Pedro's life" without being the least bit embarrassed...I mean, she left him, didn't she? Your "(okay...)" speaks volumes on that. I guess we'll find out what her deal is, but I'm already predisposed not to like her.
