Yo No Creo En Los Hombres Capitulo (51-)52 Wed 9-23-15 Discussion Page [Recap]
I am putting up a recap sometime later but since this was such a god-awful, hideous and humiliating episode there must be much left to talk about. Jesus Christ this episode reminds me of Que Te Perdone Dios but Fausto (Sergio Goyri) was much much worse than Daniel . Another episode with a rape scene and they always shock the viewers no matter what. I will please (?) you with a recap in a few hours. I am working on it. It will be on the same page as the discussion page so expect it to get updated frequently.
Part 1

MD calls Daniel to get the mortage papers( Or how you wish to call them and he is just right there close to her house probably eating his last Tiaramisu before getting in to the dreadful action. Daniel wanted to come for her but MD wants him in her house ( Way to make yourself a vournable sitting duck instead of meeting with Dan in a crowd of people, than someone could borrow you a pepper-spray dear MD . But he would find a way to get into her pants in no time.)
In a somewhat nicer happy scene Ivana &Gerry are seen having a picnic together but they did not just come to eat but to say goodbye to Ivana' s lost baby. Ivana takes out a T-shirt from her handbag and long story told short she talks about how regretful she is about not taking better care of herself and not moving along with her life. Gerry ends up convincing her to allow herself to say goodbye to her baby ( He also tells her that while she cannot give birth, she can still adopt) and they toss the shirt down the river. They also hug but don't kiss grrr.
Max is in the office and asks Julian about the renter that Honoria contacted because Espy is the one now having issues. Julian reminds Max that he doubts that MD would allow Max to pay Espie's debt but Max still insits that he will help her no matter what even if he doesn't know the reason why they broke up. Julian would love to but he is afraid to lose MD's friendship. Max ensures Julian that all will be fine. Julian tells him the whole story and Max immediately transforms into Super Max asking the secretary for his Daddy Dearest while breaking a chair in pieces without taking a sweat! Julian looks shocked at Super Max's incredible strength even when it's just Max's strong determination taking effect. Oh and by the way he is now absolutely sure that Baldomero's lawyer got something to do with crooking off the renter.
MD and Doris decide to insist with their website despite now having to work under Ivana. And MD says that she only called Dan to confirm the rumors about the house (The old geezer Baldomero apparently called her off-screen.) . Espy overhears the conversation and tries to prevent MD from becoming Ivana's slave labour but MD insists because Espy is sick but Espy never told her. Espy tells her that she went for studies and it's probably just heavy blood pressure from all the drama( That was of course a sweet lie). Later MD confesses Espy that she does not want to lose her family neither Espy or Clara but Espy says that God takes nothing but things always happen with a reason and they should alway be united.
Leo apoligizes to Clara about suggesting that they should have a uper duper secret relationship that no Class A hypocrite must know about ( Like our villians say : El perro muerto se acaba la rabia!) . She should atleast talk to him when they are in school. They hug but when Leo tries to kiss her she rejects him and moves out.
There comes a Heffa to remember , our fun entertainer Hoe-Sefa! She steals an unhealthy amount of lipstick when suddenly Claudio lurks by. I did not understand the most of her mumbling but I guess she is butt-hurt about not having the same privileges as her Hoe of a daughter . She also reprimands Claudio for not letting Isela committing stupidities while later letting her to live in his mummy house. Claudio says that this was Alma's idea but he doesnt understand the protest because Josefa was the one who gave Claudio the means to find Isela (Orly's registry number) .
Speaking about Orlando, Ari is telling him that the car he stole from the garage is insured so they don't have to pay a cent. Orlando still tells him to find and fix it ASAP. While Orlando laments that he couldnt run away with Isela , the same hoe calls Ari suddenly worried about Orlando getting captured. For the first time I clap for Ari as he tells her that he did not get detained but got beat up like a schmuck instead all because of Isela. Orlando tries to speak with Isela but Ari hangs up telling Orlando to shut it with his blabber because he is not going to pick him up on the morgue!
Isela, Josefa, Alma and Claudio all have a good harming time, charming means Josefa treating the maid-girl like dirt showcasing her low sense of dining culture and culture itself. Mad Max comes to spice things up by screaming at Claudio and Alma for looking the other way at the Clara situation. It's all their fault that MD and Clara broke up with Max and Leo! Claudio tells her that he was not even there and that he was about to detain Clara for robbery but he was stopped by Alma and in the end MD negotiated with Claudio to abandon Max forever ( By the way Max does not buy the story). Also Claudio is mad that Mad Max does not respect the opinion of his parents because he is supposed to have morals and all that goody goody crap ( At first I thought that Claudio and Alma were inspiring parents but they have turned out to be the very definition of hypocrisy) . Claudio and Alma warn Max that he is starting to believe MD more than his own flesh and blood. Besides Max should talk with Maly since she saw everything.
MD tells Clara that Espy cannot know that Dan has hold of her house and also orders Clara to take Espy for a checkup with whatever excuse. Clara is scared and frightened that MD is going to talk with Dan alone but Clara is not to worry because Doris will be coming soon .
Much later when Clara leaves that dreadful scene happens as Dan enters the room. MD tries to get him talk about how he got around the house and he tells her that he just got the news from Baldo when MD burned her own workshop. Later he got the papers and signed first but she doesnt need to pay him anything because it is a "gift". He tries to blackmail MD into returning with him in exchange for the papers but MD refuses. He starts getting super sexual with her and tries getting into her pants twice but not succeding. When MD gets scissors to defends her he succeeds though because MD starts talking about how she loves Max while Dan only brings disgust thus making MD lower her guard allowing Dan to slap her hard. He later slips off his pants and does the freaking deed. (Luckily Uni scissored the scene so we did not see it full feature but it doesn't make it any less nastier as Dan takes selfies to remind him of his only achievement in life and tells MD that it was all her fault for provoking him. All the curse words fly out of my mouth and I would probably get banned if I revealed this heritage , most of them include the word "Hell", Spanish curses and F words. ) .
Josefa lounges into Isela's new bedroom expressing her delight at Max getting pissed at his parents, well atleast Max did not utter a word about Orly. Isela taunts her to tell the chisme all over the world but Josefa is not in for it . Isela wants her to leave as well and if Josefa does not obey she herself will leave thus leaving their plans in ruins. Josefa obeys for Isela to enjoy spoiling both Claudio and Alma but make sure to hug them well like I do !
Isela informs Claudio that Josefa decided to leave and will not stay with them and also hopes that everything clears out between the family( NOT). She also asks about Alma and Claudio somewhat allows her to console the crying Alma. Later Alma asks Maly for help with Max but Maly doubts it will work if Max hasn't even believed Alma. Alma hangs up and says that she shouldn't have trusted Maly with anything cause the Clara situation was all their idea to enter Max and Leo into priesthood.
Isela tries to turn the heat up more by saying that Clara has changed a lot after her father's death and Alma then wonders why is Isela , an angel like her friends with these women. Isela says that MD is like a sister to her so it's kind of hard to betray her but she has became a problem cause she wants for Isela to remain with Orlando.

Part 2
- Julian knocks on MD's doors and yells for her so Dan is forced to silence MD . When Julian clears, he flee's the scene. Julian later goes to check the now ransacked house and finds MD with a shocked look. But the nightmare get's worse as Josefa approaches and acccuses Julian of raping MD. Honoria comes to defend Julian and MD as Josefa goes out to spread the news. Hon and Josefa briefly fight until Doris and Julian separate them. Julian tells MD that Max is waiting outside but does not know the news yet.
- Maly tries to call Max but he is too busy now. Maly says fine but he should know that his parents are worried and Max should think if MD is worth all the risk.
- Dan comes home heartbroken, disgusted but with looks ready to kill. Dan blames Ursula's sarcasm for everything and Ursula appears to feel guilt for once. Maly though starts laughing behind the back though by hoping that MD will atleast get pregnant, you have a good one in you pants right? Dan reverts from sad and distasted to killer mode in seconds as he lounges on Maly holding her by the hair. When Ursula tries to stop him he begins strangling her tightly yelling that MD was the only woman he loved.

I'm sick though it has been broadcast this would likely happen. We knew, MD didn't. How dare Daniel blame anyone but himself.

Ok. Didn't see this episode, but I can guess what happened. Ugh! Looking forward to the recap, but think I will skip the episode itself.
Considering that this was episode 52 out of 121, it can't be the final straw. My money is on Maria Dolores telling Doris and the others that Max is not to be told. She would not want him beating the crap out of Danny-Boy in order to end up getting arrested. Nor does she want Esperanza to know because she is not in good health.
Danny-Boy is totally responsible for this. He is trying to blame Ursula, but he is an adult who should be able to tell his Mama Bear to bug off.
While Ursula is a master manipulator who knows long-term planning and can think on her feet (unlike either of her cubs) she is also sarcastic. By now Danny-Boy should be able to tell the difference. Her reaction to his news surprised me for a second or two but as I write this I am wondering whether she is finally realizing that she has made monsters of both her children. More after my next round of caffeine.

To all--That is the most horrific rape scene I have ever witnessed on a telenovela (of the pocos that I've seen, of course).
There must be a lot we don't know about buying and selling properties in Mexico. Rather than a renter--they were referring to the person or institution that held their mortgage, no?
What I gleaned is that there is one man that will loan money on the value or mortgage of the property (apartment in this case) in return for the owner signing over the property. He, or in this case, the Morales family holds the ownership papers until the debt is paid.
MD assured Max that this fellow has always been on the up-and-up with the other families in the complex. But now it seems Daniel bought the ownership papers off the guy and now MD and her family owe Daniel the debt. (If I'm not mistaken, the money they are in debt for was the money that was stolen from Espy--but wasn't she getting that at a bank? Ni modo. I guess if you are poor, hardworking people, banks aren't in the mix.)
Dan-Dan probably believed, in his feeble little mind, that MD would have sex with him in return for the debt being paid off by Dan.
UA--indeed, Ursula seemed shocked when Dan-Dan told her what he had done. He pointed out in mid-rage that she was the one who urged him to get her pregnant any which way he could and humiliated him when she said if it were she and she had the equipment, MD would be pregnant already.

Vivi--The violence in the rape scene was terrifying to watch, but MD certainly tried to fight him off. I had the feeling she would prevail, until she passed out. The aftermath was just as disgusting. Now, on to the next dilemma. If MD is already pregnant by Max, Dan is going to claim the child as his and MD might actually believe it. Ahhggg--we're not even half-way through this tn.

After some thought I seriously think that Ivana needs to be told about the rape. And long before Danny-Boy can circulate those photos he took of Maria Dolores when she was unconscious.

Anita, you surmise correctly. It's like a payday loan shop, charging exorbitant interest and secured by the property title. Usually the guy protects the people in the barrio and does not sale the paper, especially since the due date for repayment has not expired, in this case he did or was coerced. MD can pay Dan before the due date and retain the property.
I haven't watched the episode but I heard before that it was going to be insane. I'm gonna miss tonight's episode as well as I'm going to try and watch last night's later today. But I'll be checking back for the recap just in case. Thanks for doing this difficult recap, Count.
Gracias everyone. I have to say that the rape scene was terrifying to watch from the first minute. All rape scenes are just awful to much but personally as i mentioned I will never forget Que Te Perdone Dios . There the victim was raped 3 times in an array of years yet after all she has given him a new chance. The disgusting POS was Fausto Lopez Guerra (Sergio Goyri)
I don't like the obscene violence on women shown on TV, there are no excuses. Even if I watch Game of Thrones where other hideous violence is shown without care even when some of them are deserving.

Ho-sefa has clearly demonstrated how much class she doesn't have. Treating servants like garbage and stealing cosmetics? Isela needed to disown her years ago. Just as Maria Dolores needs to dismiss Isela right now.

I think Ursula was more shocked by Daniel's reaction to what he did than at the fact that he had done it. If he had been twirling his mustache she would have celebrated with him. She was horrified at his pain, not his actions. The whole scene with the Santibañez was intense and brillant as it highlighted how human their monstrosity is and the fact that being overwhelmed by emotions doesn't mean you are a good person.
Doris was once again a great friend here for MD. I'm glad she has her now that Isela has gane over the dark side.

MD did fight well but it was already too late as Daniel is just physically too strong for MD to fight him on her own ( Dan certainly has no trouble with his reflexes) . She definetly should not have left herself be alone and should have gone to a public place where Dan would have a harder time sliming her over. And I dreaded when she had the scissors in her hands and hasn't made a single stab wound .
Like many women in that situation MD probably was afraid that if she landed a single stab wound she would end up being arrested for assault or attempted murder. After Ho-sefa and Maleny have done so much damage to her rep she's not in a good position vis a vis a rape investigation. I hope someone can tell us whether the police in Mexico use a victim's sexual history against her, but MD wasn't a virgin at the time of the rape and she had a previous relationship with Danny-Boy. That is legally irrelevant in the US, but there are still some places where people choose to ignore that.
She could have agreed to meet him in a public place, but unless she would have had someone shadow her (like Ari) she would have been in danger of being shoved into his car and taken to some isolated place she couldn't escape from.
And how about Ho-sefa going around telling people that Julian was the rapist? She deserves to burn in hell for that.

MD didn't believe Daniel would do that to her. We got hints for several episodes that this was gonna happen but she didn't.

We did and MD should have been completely creeped out every time Danny-Boy got near her ever since she found out that their wedding was a fake.
And although I know it's illegal and there would be hell to pay for some, I'd love right now for Ho-sefa's Karmageddon to be lynched by the entire neighborhood.

True Urban I hope Josefa gets her Karma served cold, the rape scene was disturbing enough but when Hosefa came in it got even worse and intolerable. The woman has a very dark aura around her and it is felt by everyone in the neibhourhood. She'll probably amplify her " MD is a dirty slut" rumours to everyone especially Max and Leo. It also hampers her reputation further if she ever decides to sue Jacinto back.
About Isela it is hard to judge what drives her, she claims that she loves Claudio honestly but still cares for Orlando in her own twisted way. I suppose Isela is just using the situation to have a greater life to run away from Hosefa or just to make her sweetest revenge by taking everything Clawdio holds dear bit by bit and not in a large bite because that would make it too obvious.

I'm remembering a few episodes ago Isela telling Ho-sefa that Clawdio (love that little Freudian slip!) was going to give her an apartment "and you can't move in with me," she said. That would have served Ho-sefa right.
I haven't commented much on the music in this series, but it's perfect for this story. The suspense motifs are exactly in the right places and it sounds creepy when it needs to. Like in a Hitchcock film.

I too love the music in this one and I would love to have some of them on my phone. I loved the music on QPD as well but too bad that everyone is too lazy to upload all of them. Also most of the No Creo soundtracks on Youtube were removed for copyright.

Thanks for the recap, Countx. You all have pointed out some valid reasons to watch, and so I will eventually, with my finger on the ffwd button. I'm so glad to hear that Doris and Julian were there for MD. Neither one of them will let Dan get away with this. Max will be told. Doris sure as hell won't keep quiet about it.
I think the footsies under the table with Claudio while speaking to Amla at breakfast tells it all. Isela digs this.
Dan is responsible for raping Maria Dolores but Ursula is not innocent. Ursula knew that Maria Dolores had moved on to Max and was having sex with Max, yet she fed Dan a steady diet of GET MARIA DOLORES PREGNANT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. So while Ursula is not responsible for Dan raping MD, she certainly oiled the wheels.
I also don't think Dan went over to MD's with the intent to rape her. I think he thought he could seduce her but went beserk when she kept proclaiming she was in love with Max and she wanted to be (sexually) with MAX. Dan didn't like how MD made him wait for sex until they were married but easily gave it up to Max (without being married). So he raped her for dominance, control, revenge & power.
Dan's physical violence has been steadily escalating throughout the show: roughhousing Maleny, smacking up Ivana, raping Maria Dolores. It's only a matter of time before he kills someone.
The goodness in Isela is leaving daily. She is equivalent to Josefa at this point; she just isn't as crude as Josefa. Tossing people under the bus, lying on them, playing games...at least Josefa knows why she does the things she does. Isela doesn't but still takes pleasure in hurting people anyway.

Although I haven't seen it, I like Jarocha's interpretation of the family scene-- that Ursula is not shocked by what Dan did, but that he's a blubbering mess about it. She's all about retaining her cool and looking in control. I'm sure she sees his reaction to his actions as weak. I bet she has a t-shirt in her closet that says "No Regrets, B*tches!"

I agree with a lot of the comments. First, the scene at the Santibanez house after the rape was very well acted and put together. Ursula had the nerve to tell Dan that when she said force sex on her, it was just way of talking, she didn't mean to actually do it. What a sick family. Anon207 I don't think Dan went there intending to brutally rape MD either and believe as you do he thought he could seduce her. However, Dan's idea of seduction has already included drugging MD and trying to put her and her family in the street. But, I also think had he been patient and not start up about Max and continued to charm & lie he could have. MD always goes mushy whenever Dan gets teary eyed and tells her he loves her, she's done that from the beginning. Just the night before he told MD of the break up with Ivana and he loved her still with little protest and when Doris verbally and physically tried to send him away MD did nothing.
Rape scenes make me mad, so I'm going to focus on Ivana and how badly she needs therapy. It was a sweet scene with Jerry trying to help her let go something that can no longer happen, but she needs a professional. If she's not careful, she's going to end up in the funny farm sharing a room with Maleny and Isela.
Maleny has her own issues, and Isela will soon if she doesn't figure out what the heck she wants. I don't get her. She probably is torn between loving Orlando and getting revenge on Claudio, but she's screwing up both with her attitude. Pick one.

I agree with the no sex but because of the woman she is not because of Max. If Dan were patient and didn't push he would be back in. I don't know what ties her to the guy, perhaps it is hate at this point or self loathing, but there is a button he can push.
Vivi--In that respect (having sex with women) Dan is delusional. Tofie reminded us that Dan always liked the game of drugging and then having sex with women he brought to the hacienda, many before MD. Who knows, maybe MD is the only one who was willing to go on a second date with him and he has no idea how to interest a woman. MD, again, is the only one who showed any interest and yet he tried the druggie route with her anyway. Since their breakup, he's always ended up being rough with her, physically. I wish MD had paid attention to that. Of course, this is just a tn, just a tn, and if she had met him in a public place or had Doris with her at the apt., we wouldn't have the rest of the story--or at least this one.

Tofie I will respectfully disagree about Dan being able to get back with MD if he played the charming guy again at this point. María Dolores was over him as a romantic partner and I think she only had left the nice memories that she knew to be a lie and now have been shattered by this event.

Why, oh why, did she have to get raped?!? grrr I cringed when Julian and Doris (love her!) went around tidying up the mess, destroying evidence. I know they mean well, but this won't help. Poor MD. The previews show Max standing near her at the police station, I hope. Daniel is definitely going to become more and more violent. It started with hitting Ivana (was that the first time?). He has now attacked and violated our MD and followed up by attacking his mother and sister, all the while blaming them for his acts.
On another note, Isela has certainly not turned out the way I imagined her to be. That scene with her playing footsie with Claudo while sitting at the FAMILY table? Disgusting. She is not an unwilling victim to her mother's need for vengeance. I'm really confused with this storyline. I can not believe she threw MD and Clarita under the bus!!!
