Lo Imperdonable #116 Tue 10/27/15 Rebeca makes her move, Manny fails to kill Aaron, and Marty reunites with Veronica.

Aaron has Marty trapped and pinned to a wall with a gun pointed at him from behind.

Now that Marty is out of sight, the cousins and Veronica continue their way to the nursing school.

At the PC offices, the bank manager tells Jorge that the bank will take full responsibility for having cashed the check without verifying that it was indeed Jorge's signature. The bank will be giving Jorge his money back. Jorge wants to know who could have robbed him. While the bank can't provide the actual images from the security camera, they can provide him with a screen shot of the blind man who came to cash the check. Jorge takes a look at the man in the photo and IDs Aaron.

Instead of pulling the trigger, Aaron decides it's a good idea to babble away and tell Marty his plans to kill Magdalena and Botel as well. The three of them will all reunite in hell and hey they may even reunite with Veronica down there as well. At the mention of Veronica, Marty reverts to Crazy Marty, and with a quick move he's able to get the upperhand on Aaron overpowering him and causing him to drop his gun to the ground.

The bank manager thanks Jorge for the info he has provided him. The bank will be filing a report against Aaron. Jorge, whose brain cells are back at work after a looong vacation, is now more sure than ever that it was Virginia who stole the check. So does that mean that Rita gets her job back?

Manny and Virginia talk in the study. Manny wants Virginia to help him locate Pablo so he can do away him. She agrees to help him when he explains that his grandpa left his sister's husband a good amount of money and since Pablo married his sister then he'll have to share the inheritance with Pablo. Virginia now takes the opportunity to ask him for a favor. She tells him about Aaron's blackmail and that she needs money. Manny tells her to forget the blackmail, he has a better idea.

Meanwhile, Marty is giving his father in law a major beatdown. I'd hate to see these two at Thanksgiving. Aaron is knocked out unconscious, or so it seems, because when Marty turns his back to retrieve the gun, Aaron gets up and runs away. Marty uses a piece of newspaper to pick up the gun to avoid getting his fingerprints on it. Once the gun is in his hands he leaves the scene.

Manny's brilliant idea is to kill Aaron. Manny's ego is so big that when Virginia tells him that Aaron is dangerous he tells her that no one is as bad as he (Manny) is. All they have to do is plan a trap for Aaron to fall in. Virginia agrees with the idea.

Chelas and Gato sit at some street corner. Chelas spots a victim and wants Gato to act. Gato refuses. But Chelas threatens to harm Gato's little sister if he doesn't do as told.

At the nursing school, one of the doctors examines Veronica. He refers her to a neurologist who is a friend of his. He will get her a appointment with the neurologist.

At the n-less hospital, Magdalena comes into Botel's room and is surprised when she sees Botel's bed empty. She's even more surprised when she sees that Botel is on his wheelchair. He tells her about Aaron's visit and his threats to kill her. Magdalena tells him to forget about Aaron, he'll be caught, and to only think about himself right now.

Gato is mugging the woman who Chelas picked out and attempting to steal her purse. When all of a sudden Marty, who obviously doesn't have a car and is everywhere, comes out of nowhere and gets Gato in a choke hold. He has rescued the woman who leaves. We see Chelas come from behind but he decides to leave [probably because he has seen Marty's muscles] instead of confronting Marty. Marty is about to take Gato downtown, but Gato explains that he only did what he did because Chelas forced him and threatened to harm his little sister. When Marty asks him what his name is, he tells him that he's nicknamed Gato, but that his real name is Demetrio. And that's when Marty recalls the promise he made to his mother on her deathbed to always look out for Demetrio.

Back at the n-less hospital, Botel's recovery is going good. Botel will be discharged from the n-less hospital but he'll have to follow the doctor's orders.

Marty has decided to take Gato under his wing and help him out. Marty wants to talk to Gato's parents and Gato gives him the address of where he lives.

In another n-less hospital scene, we find that the cousins and Veronica are lost. They decide to take the elevator and walk past Magdalena and Botel who have their backs turned. As Veronica walks past them, she strokes her arm. As soon as Veronica is out of sight, Magdalena gets el llamado de la sangre (the call of blood) and strokes her arm as well sensing that Veronica is alive and close. But Botel shuts down her call of blood telling her that she must have felt that way because of all that happened. For sure her memories were stirred up. He tells her that Veronica is dead. But Magdalena still feels that Veronica is alive. Botel tells her to get that thought out of her head because it will condemn her to a never ending pain. She tells him that she is used to living like that and reminds him that many years ago she also felt that Veronica was alive and she was not mistaken.

Oh goodie. The neurologist takes off Veronica's headband. He asks her what is the last thing she remembers. She tells him that what she last remembers was waking up in a strange place with that doctor, Dante Jimenez, who injected her with things so she could get her memory back. The doctor has been given the scoop on Veronica not recognizing her husband and fleeing from him. So he advises the cousins to avoid another encounter between Veronica and Marty because she could react negatively and they don't know what she could do. For now, the doctor will give her medication to lessen the pain and the anxiety, and when they get the results back he'll know what drugs that other doctor was giving her. When asked why Veronica is afraid of her husband, the doctor says that it's possible that someone made her believe that. Duh! Tell them more for 100 pesos an hour. Ana Perla wonders who it could have been. Veronica suggests that it could have been the other doctor but she doesn't understand because he said that he would help her and she doesn't have reason to doubt him. But now they are telling her something else. The doctor tells her that he is a qualified doctor and that she can trust him.

Salma meets with a the family priest. She is looking for someone to guide her and to tell her that if what she is about to do is right or not.

At the market, Arturo enlists the help of the some the guys at the market, including Julio. Then we see Arturo purchasing an engagement ring.

Salma introduces herself as Virginia's mother to Manny. Then orders Virginia in the study so they can talk. In the study, Virginia is cold with her, telling her that she doesn't want to talk to her and that she wants her to get out of her life. Well, Salma won't do that, until Virginia repents. Virginia laughs at this and denies ever having done anything bad. But Salma knows that Virginia tried to kill Mati. Virginia claims it was an accident but Salma knows she lies. Salma then tells Virginia that she will put a stop to her. How will she put a stop to her? By handing Virginia over to the authorities. Salma prefers to see Virginia behind bars than to see her dead. Salma leaves. Virginia threatens.

Magdalena and Botel return to Marty's place. Botel tells Marty about Aaron's visit. Then Marty tells them about his encounter with Aaron and how he tried to kill him.

Aaron returns to his hovel and finds that the money he stashed under the barrel is missing. He immediately knows Chelas has robbed him. Then he gets a call from Virginia who lures him into her and Manny's trap.

Virginia then calls up Daniel and threatens him that if he doesn't find Veronica soon then he'll be living a nightmare. Daniel, upset with the threats, decides to act.

Aaron ambushes Chelas when he returns home and accuses him of having robbed him. Chelas acts as if he doesn't know what Aaron is talking about. Chelas punches Aaron but since Chelas doesn't have muscles like Marty, Aaron is able to get the upper hand this time. Aaron scares the pants off Chelas by telling that he's a murderer and that he has ended a lot of people's lives with his bare hands. Does Chelas want to see? Of course not. Chelas wants Aaron to calm down.

Marty tells Botel and Magdalena that he's fine and that Aaron didn't harm him. He tells them about having taken the gun that Aaron used to shoot Botel with to the police. Marty says that they will soon have more evidence against Aaron. Then Marty tells them that he saw Veronica.

The cousins give Veronica a tour of the market. When Ana Perla hands Veronica a rose, Veronica gets one of her memories back, a memory that Univision doesn't let us see. But that was a memory of one of the times that she and Marty made love. Veronica tells the cousins that the rose reminded her that someone once loved her but she couldn't see who it was. Ana Perla tells her that it was Marty. Veronica wants to remember her life. Blanquita asks her if she remembers her mother, Magdalena.

Magdalena who was left impactada with what Marty has told him tells Botel that she told him so. Her heart tells her that Veronica is alive.

Veronica is surprised to find out that she has a mother. She wonders why the doctor told her that she was alone in the world.

Marty and Magdalena both believe that Veronica is alive. Botel, on the other hand, shuts down this possibility. He's sorry, but he thinks that Marty has lost it.

Veronica has changed out of her clothes and is now sporting a pretty dress. She tells Ana Perla and Blanquita that she feels strange and doesn't know she is. Blanquita tells Veronica that they will help her find out who she is and to return to those that love her.

Rebeca calls Marty. He apologizes for hanging up on her before and tells her that he saw Veronica. She changes the subject and invites him over for some din din. He's about to reject the invitation but she convinces him to accept it. He starts to talk business but she doesn't want to talk about that. She tells him that she won't be talking about business during dinner.

Veronica wants to pay for her own medication and wants to work. Arturo will help her get a job as a cleaning lady. Julio, who obviously didn't get the memo that Veronica is supposed to be dead, sees Veronica and calls her by her name. Veronica is confused. She ends up leaving with Arturo. Ana Perla is left to explain to Julio what is going on.

Rebeca has prepared the dinner table and wants it to be a great night. Rebeca tells Susana that she remembers Veronica and always has her in her heart. Say what? You hardly knew her. But Rebeca knows that if Veronica were alive she'd want someone to worry about and to love Marty like she loved him. Thinking that helps Rebeca feel less guility about having fallen in love with the same man. Susana tells Rebeca not to feel guility because she's harming no one. Rebeca then realizes that there is something missing. Guess what it is? Yes, it's flowers. And guess where Rebeca will be going to purchase them? Yes, that's right, down to the market, and since there is only one market in all of Mexico City, well then we know what market it will be.

Marty tells Botel about Rebeca's dinner invitation. It's a dinner date that Marty isn't in the mood for because he just wants to be with Veronica. Botel advises Marty to get to know Rebeca because either way one day Marty will have to meet other woman. But Marty keeps on insisting that Veronica is alive and that he saw her with his own eyes.

Veronica has been given the job as the cleaning lady at the market. We see her sweeping and mopping up the place. As she walks through the market, she meets up with an elderly lady named Prudencia, who is embroidering. The elderly lady is having trouble with her hands so Veronica decides to help out. Prudencia will teach her how it's done.

In New York, Pablo tells Rezzina that he accepts his offer for an art residency. This makes Mariana really happy because she takes it to mean that she and Pablo will live in New York.

At the market, Ana Perla finds out from Raymunda and Joaquin that she inherited half of Old Goat's estate and house. She finds out that Pablo gets half of his money for being her husband. She wonders what her aunt and uncle and Manny got. She's told that Raymunda and Joaquin have gotten another part of the inheritance as well as their house. And as for Manny, well he got the other half of the inheritance. Polo knows Manny will be pissed with the news.

Mariana calls up Montse and tells her that Pablo has accepted the art residency in New York. Mariana is so sure that Pablo will ask her to live with him. Little does she know, that Pablo is asking Rezzina to get Ana Perla a visa to come to the USA. Rezzina will do it.

Veronica has embroider a shirt. Prudencia asks her if she wants to take it for her boyfriend. Veronica tells her that she doesn't have one. Prudencia thinks that Veronica should have suitors all around her since she's so pretty and hardworking.

Arturo proposes to Blanquita at the market in front of her family. She accepts. They will get married once she has finished her nursing career. Applause all around. Then a serenade commences. Veronica walks up on the serenade and it stirs up some of her memories. She recalls the serenade that Emi brought her as well as her wedding to Marty and when she and Marty made love for the first time. She wonders what those two men mean in her life.

Emi and Claudia seem to think that they have found love with each other. They both don't want to lose this opportunity. Who cares. Moving on.

Jorge meets with Marty and tells him that Virginia and Manny have a relationship and that he thinks that they are lovers. Jorge believes that it was the both of them that tried to kill them. Marty changes the subject and tells Jorge that he saw Veronica.

Two ladies at the market talk about how emotional it was when Arutro proposed to Blanquita. Veronica joins in on the chit chat. She hopes Blanquita will be happy with Arturo.

Jorge doesn't think it's possible that Marty saw Veronica because she is dead. He thinks that sometimes we think we see the person that love. Marty says that Jorge must think that he is nuts. Jorge says that anyone would be with all that has happened. Jorge himself felt that he was going nuts with the news that Virginia and Manny have a relationship.

Aaron meets up with Virginia so she can give him the money. He asks for more the next month. Manny shows up and gets Aaron in a choke hold. But even though Manny has muscles he's no Crazy Marty so Aaron gets the upper hand and gives Manny a semi beatdown. Now Aaron threatens to make Virginia pay for all this that has happened. Aaron leaves.

Chelas calls up the cops and gives them a tip on where to find Aaron. He's getting the reward right? Goodie, well they better start counting the money because now they know where to find Aaron.

At the market, a little party is going on with the serenade and dancing.

Meanwhile, Rebeca purchases the men's shirt that Veronica embroider.

It's nighttime, and we are first treated to Ana Perla and Pablo's theme song, which means that the person we will focus on in this scene is Ana Perla. She's asleep and has another romantic dream with Pablo. When she wakes up she says that she misses him.

Meanwhile, in New York, Pablo is at his exhibition. Rezzina introduces him as the painter. Then Pablo decides to say a few words and he proposes to Mariana who of course accepts.

Now we are treated to a snippet of Veronica and Marty's love theme, so in this scene we will focus on Veronica, who wonders who she is. Is she Veronica or Victoria? She has to know who she is.

During the dinner date, Rebeca gives Marty the shirt that she bought from the market. Marty really loves it. Rebeca tries to kiss him but he backs off and apologizes. Then he gets up and leaves.

It's now morning and Veronica hangs up a blanket to dry. Aaron, who is sporting a new disguise, and is wearing an eye patch passes by her without recognizing her.

Rebeca tries to talk to Marty about what happened the night before. But he tells her that nothing happened. He leaves telling her that he has an important date.

Virginia acts nice with Mariana telling her that all is in the past. Mariana isn't buying her nice girl act and wants to know what Virginia is doing there. Virginia tells her that she wants to find Pablo because the man she drives crazy is Manny and he needs to find Pablo. Why? Because Pablo and her little villager are the heirs of his grandfather. And Ana Perla is trying to take Manny's money. Mariana says that Pablo isn't interested in Ana Perla anymore. But Virginia tells her that Ana Perla could convince Pablo that there is a lot of money and he could have his doubts. Mariana then further condemns herself by agreeing to tell Virginia where to find Ana Perla instead of where to find Pablo.

Pablo surprises Ana Perla with his return. He has brought gifts for her and their child. They are not even finished enjoying this happy moment when Manny walks in.

Chelas corners Blanquita and takes her with him telling her that she'll have to convince Arturo to do what he wants.

Marty runs into Veronica when asking around at the vecindad for Demetrio. He hugs Veronica.

Comments:
Well, Veronica and Marty have been reunited and she's starting to get some memories back. So hopefully she gets her complete memory back soon.

It was maddening when Chelas kidnapped Blanquita. I couldn't believe it. Please writers don't let any harm come to her.

Manny made me laugh. He thought he was so tough. But Aaron proved to be stronger. Ha!

Mauricio- You and all the other wonderful recappers on this tn deserved a better final week than this. This episode was dull, dull, dull, and you made it sound so much more interesting. All I could think while watching was, I am so glad I did not watch this whole tn. The best, and only, worthwhile scene was the very end when Marty hugs Vero. That was a lovely and heartfelt hug from Marty.

These are the things that had me banging my head against the wall:

"Blanquita tells Veronica that they will help her find out who she is and to return to those that love her."

For cripes sake! They all KNOW who she is, and if they intended to return her to her loved ones, all they had to do is pick up the damn phone, or just take a quick trip over to Marty's house to inform him and Magda.

Veronica keeps wondering if she's Veronica or Victoria. How many people have to call her Veronica before it sinks into her damaged brain that maybe, just maybe, THAT'S her name?!

The gang has Vero working as a cleaning lady?! She's rich and has a wealthy uncle/mom/stepfather/husband. Even if they all plan a way for her not to have to see Marty for now, any of these other people can arrange for her care, treatment, and housing (in super nice homes).

Gah! The whole thing is silly.

Do we really need new characters and stories like Rebbecca or Gato? Wrap the main stories up already, Mejia.

Sorry for the rant. This is why it was better that I stopped watching like I did.

Mauricio, what a fabulous recap! The improbable coincidences are just pouring down on us now, aren't they? [They should have called this novela 'Lo Improbable'... or maybe 'Lo Imposible' – ooh, we could go on: Lo Insoportable, Lo Inaguantable...] Anyway, you nailed the thing in all its glory! Thanks so much! And thanks for taking on an extra recap this week so the Patio is not left without its daily fix.

"Meanwhile, Marty is giving his father in law a major beatdown. I'd hate to see these two at Thanksgiving."

Hahaha! Lord willin' and the crick don't rise, we won't have to!

"Jorge, whose brain cells are back at work after a looong vacation, is now more sure than ever that it was Virginia who stole the check. So does that mean that Rita gets her job back?"

Too late! Next time we see Rita, she'll be Doña Rita starring in her own telenovela as the imperious head of a huge international jewelry company inexplicably obsessed with CRUSHING the competition - Corporativo Prado Castelo!

"Rebeca tells Susana that she remembers Veronica and always has her in her heart. Say what? You hardly knew her. But Rebeca knows that if Veronica were alive she'd want someone to worry about and to love Marty like she loved him."

Yes, well now you almost have to feel sorry for clueless Becky. Oh man, is she going to feel like a fool!

The scene where Chelas grabs Blanca was absurdly abrupt. I'm sure the monkeys had written a transitional scene that was either never filmed or got cut. [You almost have to feel sorry for the clueless monkeys.] But certainly, yes, "Don't let any harm come to Blanca!"

Finally, Vero is back in Marty's arms! Now don't be a fool and run away, Vero!

Thanks again, Mauricio, for this splendid romp!

Thanks for the wonderful recap!

This felt like a filler episode to me and for the final 5th episode to be filler is beyond annoying!

I'm sorry but Aaron is old and supposedly with a really bum leg and yet he still pops up after Marty's beat down and gets the better of Manny? Puhleeze!

I don't know why Vero isn't brought to Magda? If anyone is going to spur your memory its your mom. Plus, she has no bad feelings about her mom so what's the harm. These two girls have barely a brain cell between them and most of it is with Blanquita.

If Vero doesn't get her memory back tonight I may be banging my head to forget this show.

Also, Rebeca going after a man, and trying to kiss him, less than a month after his wife has died, when it is obvious he is still a complete mess, is beyond belief. Talk about trying to take advantage of a man when he's fragile.

Agree, Emi and Claudia are a bore. Why oh why could they have not hooked Emi and Nanci up together! I so wanted to see the look on Salma and Ginny's faces when he introduced her as his wife!

Thank you, Mauricio, for a stellar recap!

I loved everything NovelaMaven has already mentioned.

Also loved the reference to Marty being everywhere even though he doesn't have a car! Hilarious.

Yes, at the mention of Verónica, Marty reverts to Crazy Marty, and Aarón was no match for him.

Once again, Manny's plan backfired. I'd love to see AP have something to do with taking him out, but perhaps that's asking for too much.

I really liked the scene with Salma and Virginia. Good for Salma, but I fear this is her death sentence.

I'm not understanding what Pablo's plan is re: payback for Mariana. I was hoping that somehow -- since getting from one location to another is never an issue in this TN -- AP would appear at the opening and Pablo would introduce her to the audience as his wife. Any ideas on where Pablo's going with this?

Thanks again, Mauricio!

I did like it when first, Pablo asks the art guy for a visa for his wife, confirming its the girl from the painting, and then second, the art guy's confused face when Pablo proposes to Marianna.

I was sort of, kind of, understanding Pablo's plan when he asked his new sponsor/patron to get the visa for AP. But then he totally lost me when he asked Mariana, in front of all those potential buyers and the NY press, to marry him. Unless everyone in the room was a paid stand-in and were in on the joke, then I don't see how Pablo thinks this will help him. Judging by the look on the sponsor's face when Pablo asked Mariana to marry him (he had a WTF look on his face), I'd say the NYC public is not going to be very understanding about Pablo having a wife back in Mexico, and asking another woman publicly to marry him. Mari might end up looking foolish, but he'd end up looking like a lying, cheating jerk.

Mauricio---loved your recap as well as the episode. You brought a smile to my face when you told us that upon hearing Veronica's name, Marty went into his crazy Marty mode. Still smiling over that one. Marty isn't a big muscle man but how are you going to defeat crazy Marty? Aaron's a pretty tough old bird taking down Chelas and
tough guy Manny as well but crazy Marty? Well that's another story.

Vivi---Guess that you didn't like the show.

I'm glad that Veronica is slowly getting her memory back.

I can't figure out what is going on with Pablo and Mariana. Can anyone tell what is going on there? He's proposed to her? What? He gave her a ring but it didn't look like an engagement ring. Did I get the recap right Mauricio---He has proposed to Mariana but he is bringing Ana Perla to New York. What?

Emi is starting to get cozy with Claw-dia. There's not much time for Nanciyaga. Were the elders wrong? Time to throw the snails again?

Another perplexity---I was asked yesterday why I am still on the intro? I played the intro back in slow motion this morning several times and still am not sure. OK,
we all know that Pablo stabbed Manuel and in return, Manuel shot Pablo in his hand.
In the intro, there are two parts to this scene. First we see Manny lying on Ana Perla's lap after he had been stabbed. Pablo is standing nearby overlooking the scene but there does not appear to be any blood on either of his hands. Next the camera cut away to two or three other quick scenes but then returns to the Manny Pablo incident but this time there is a heavy rain--not before, and this time we see both of Pablo's hands with a lot of blood on them. Am I missing something here?
Mauricio--NovelaMaven, patio peeps? Was the intro just poor editing?

The police will be hot on Aaron's trail now but not Manny--so any ideas about Manny's terrible death that Nanci predicted. Probably much more than a knife wound I would think.

Blanquita in peril. Will she be rescued or maybe escape? She's feisty.

Will Rebecca be riding off into the sunset soon?

Vivi---I'll be watching. I'm not at all ready to leave Mina Escondita and can't wait to see our goddess warrior return.

must see tv
the gringo

Gringo- Some intro's are just straight up clips from the show. While some intros are an artistic rendering of what will come in the show. Antes Muerte que Lichita is the kind of intro heavy on actual clips straight from the show. Lo Imperdonable is more of an artsy foreshadowing of things that will happen, but not straight clips. The scene in the intro with Manny, AP and Pablo simply signifies that there will be conflict between these three over the course of the tn, and it will be bloody, but it is not an actual clip from an episode in the show. Does that make sense?

Yes Vivi, that does make sense but there actually was a stabbing that took place earlier. What had me confused is that the two scenes seem to be of the same incident. The first scene with no blood on Pablo's hands and no rain, the second scene with rain and a lot of blood on Pablo's hands. You could be correct in that they are both showing us a scene that has already happened but are also fore- shadowing a future event. Thanks.

Thanks Mauricio for the recap. I loved it.

I was so happy that Martin finally saw Vero. That was the best hug he has given her! When he was hugging her did he say "don't ever leave me?" This was the best scene! There was so much emotion in the hug!

I can't stand Rebecca. She is so desperate for Martin. While I am so glad Martin rejected her, on the other hand I am not happy that he was tempted to kiss her. Maybe because he is still grieving. She only saw Vero for less than an hour and she thinks she knows Vero.

I just wanted Botel to just shut up!! When he was telling Martin to move on and go to the dinner. Shut up Botel!

It has taken over a week for Martin to reunite with Vero, still not happy with that. Blanquita and Ana Perla are so dumb to hide this from Martin. It is so annoying.

Duchess: I felt the same way about Botel. The man just lost his freaking wife in a car accident less than a month ago and he wants him moving on!? Too much!

Gringo, I like Vivi's explanation. Remember that they shoot the introductory footage well before filming is complete on the novela itself. I remember on Abismo de pasión, people kept waiting for a particular scene of 'gratuitous shirtlessness' in the opening credits to happen in the novela, but it never did. :-)

"If Vero doesn't get her memory back tonight I may be banging my head to forget this show."

It's no use, Carvivlie. The show is hardwired into your brain now. I'm afraid you're stuck with it! [hee hee]

Mari, I'm also confused about Pablo's plan and I'm having some trouble keeping everybody's location straight. Did Virginia go to New York or is Mariana back in Mexico?

It does seem as if Mariana has forgotten all about her plan to conquer Pablo and then dump him – she seems to be playing for real again. I had been feeling a little sorry for her, but her willingness to throw Ana Perla to the wolves (i.e. Ginny and Manny) has led me to reconsider.

Thanks Mauricio for another sparkling recap, pitching in an extra time, and for all those funny lines. My fave was Marty reverting to Crazy Marty.

And thanks for the well wishes for my resfriadazo. Actually got so desperate I DID make the homeopathic soup ( an infusion of mushrooms, onions, garlic, ginger, parsley, lemon and a little salt). It's either going to kill me or cure me.

And speaking of killing...I fear now that Salma has talked to a priest, her days on earth are numbered. Not a spoiler. Just an intuition. Sigh. The body count keeps mounting.

Judy- I hope the soup has worked its magic on your cold.

As for Salma, now that Jorge has laid eyes on Pablo's mom, Salma is suffering from a terminal case of being an inconvenient spouse. Telenovelas hate inconvenient spouses.

NovelaMaven - I'm guessing that magically Virginia is in New York with Mariana because I can't imagine Mariana leaving Pablo in NY without her. Yes, it does seem like she's forgotten about her plan to conquer and then dump Pablo, and I agree her sending Manny to AP is imperdonable.

JudyB - That soup sounds good to me. I know ginger is definitely good for colds. Hope it does the trick and that you feel better pronto.

Oops! Just remembered Pablo is back in Mexico because he brought AP all those presents. So probably Mariana followed him back.

Mauricio, thank you for this recap. It's gettin
Heated up.
But first, ok everybody altogether now: "SHUT UP BOTEL". He is so annoying at times. I know he means well but please just shut up.
Rebeca Rebeca Rebeca, whatever.
"If veronica was alive she would want someone to worry and love Martin the way she did". That was really a stupid thing to say because if she was alive she wouldn't have to want anybody to worry and love martin she would be there to do it herself!!!
BTW, that was a beautiful shirt embroidery
Veronica did. Martin looks like it made him think about veronica when he saw the embroidery work. this man's wife has been dead what a week? and she wants him to just forget about her and move on with her, is she out of her freaking mind?
Well they ( ana p & B ) don't have to hide it anymore cause he found her. Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!! Reunited and It feels so good. Now beca should get the 1st bus, train
plane out o there. Bye. Go away forever. Bye.
Somebody hurry blanquita's in trouble!!!!!!
Manny and virginia blah blah blah. Next.
I hope pablo beats the crap out of manny.

Thanks, Mari. So they're probably all back in Mexico City, huh? That means they're likely to be bumping into each other on the street, right? :)

JudyB,
I feel sure that spending a few minutes on the Patio every day is therapeutic. As for the soup, well... Take care of yourself, amiga.

Good afternoon everyone. Thank you everyone for the comments.

Vivi,

Yes, this episode wasn't the best. I was hoping for more action. Hopefully, it will be better tonight. Mejia should be starting to wrap things up by now.

I agree that they should have informed someone from the family or Marty that Veronica is alive so they could get her some help.

And yes, Veronica should realize by now that she is indeed Veronica, and not Victoria. I'm still disappointed that she did believe in Daniel's lies.

NovelaMaven,

Hahaha! Those are some great suggestions for what they could have named the novela.

I like the idea of Doña Rita.

It will be interesting to see what Rebeca does when she finds out Veronica is alive. Will she back off or turn crazy and become a last minute villain?

I hope Blanquita gets saved tonight. I also hope Chelas meets his end soon.

If Veronica runs, I think we will all be screaming. :)

Carvivlie,

Yes, it sure was baffling how Aaron was able to beat up Manny, with a bad leg. How was he able to get that kick in?

Good point about them taking Veronica to Magdalena.

I agree, Emi and Claudia together are a boring, no chemistry there. Now he and Nanci are a different story. They would have made an interesting couple.

Mari,

It occurred to me while watching this episode that Marty doesn't have a car. Actually, none of these people seem to have one. Except for Emi.

I liked the Salma and Virginia scene as well. But like you, I also think that Salma has signed her death sentence. Will the writers really go there and have Virginia commit matricide?

I think what Pablo wants is to make Mariana believe they are getting married then dump her at the alter to publicly humiliate her.

gringo,

I like how Veronica is starting to get her memories back too. I hope she recovers them all soon. We need the warrior goddess back.

Yes, Pablo proposed to Mariana. As I said above, I think he wants to make her believe that they are getting married, only to dump her at the altar and publicly humiliate her.

I have a hunch about the intro, and I hope this isn't a spoiler, but I suspect that Mejia had planned to have Pablo stab Manny accidentally, but since the show had low ratings over in Mexico, he made some last minute changes, and that part got cut out.

Manny does deserve worse than a stab wound. He's been really bad throughout and hasn't shown any remorse. I hope his end will be a good one and satisfying.

Duchess,

I was glad that Marty and Veronica were reunited too. I watched the scene again, and he doesn't say "don't leave me again". There was a lot of emotion with the hug.

I wanted to shout out a "Shut Up Botel!" too. :)

Yes, I agree that it is annoying that Ana Perla and Blanquita are keeping this important information about Veronica being alive from him. He will be rightfully upset when he finds out they knew and didn't tell him.

JudyB,

I hope you get well soon. Take care.

I also have a feeling that Salma's days are numbered after her threat to Virginia.

Nina,

Yes. I also felt that Marty thought about Veronica when he saw the embroidery on the shirt. That's why he really liked it I think.

I hope they rescue Blanquita tonight. I still can't believe she's been kidnapped. Arturo better run and save her princess.

Yes, Pablo and Mariana are back in Mexico.

Thanks, Maurico, for yet another great recap.

I liked this episode, although I am as frustrated as everyone with the fluff and filler at this late stage. Hotel, shut up. Rebeca, shut up. Time to let the anvil lose.

Unfortunately, I am going to miss the rest of LI and the start of P&P because I have to go on vacation to Guatemala. Thanks in advance for all the condolences. :)

See you in December, hasta pronto.

Mauricio -

What you're saying sounds plausible re: Pablo proposing to Mariana and following it up with a public humiliation. Only problem with that is he's going to make himself look really bad in the process. Oh well, we shall see...

I've said it from the start, and I'll say it again in agreement with you all, it is absolutely wrong and undeniably stupid of the OG family to keep this from Marty. It will be interesting to see how he takes it when he finds out. He might be so ecstatic that Vero's back he'll just let it go.

And, yes, you would think that no matter the amount of confusion in Vero's head that enough people have called her Verónica upon first seeing her again that she would know that she is not Victoria. When she said that she didn't know why Dr. Dan would lie to her, I was almost banging my head. Why would all these people who are protecting her lie to her about Martín? No puede ser...

Thanks Mauricio for making it clear. Ivan really acted it very well. It looked so real.

Thanks so much for this wonderful recap, Mauricio. I so enjoy your clear and entertaining writing as well as this type of word economy:

"Who cares. Moving on."

Mari,

"Only problem with that is he's going to make himself look really bad in the process."

That's exactly the point I was trying to make yesterday with even less information than we have now. I see no upside for Pablo in this. Those people in NY have no idea of what has led up to this. Rezzini certainly seemed confounded by what he was witnessing.

Vivi, how great that you're joining us for the final collapse of this exasperating show that initially promised so much. I expect that like me, you probably enjoyed Rebeca much more as a feisty lady-boxer (Gancho). She seems so out of place and bewildered in this, doesn't she?

Carlos

Hi Carolina. Thank you for stopping by and hope that you have a great vacation.

I agree Mari that this will only make Pablo look bad in the end. He's never been that bright so he probably doesn't realize it. Actually, this whole thing can backfire on him because Mariana may get more crazier and who knows what she would be capable of doing.

You're Weldome Duchess.

Thank you Carlos. I wish they would have given Danna Garcia a better part in all of this.

Carlos- I definitely prefer La Monita over Becky.

Mauricio,
Thanks for filling in again and giving us this awesome recap. So much of what I am feeling has already been mentioned. Finally Marty has SEEN and hugged Vero. I pumped my fist in the air last night when Marty backed away from Rebeca's untimely kiss. WTH?? Like I said before, she needs to go!
I am very disappointed that Emi and Nanci aren't together. I wanted them to end up as a couple.

Thanks again Mauricio
Hasta pronto

Thank you AuntyAnn. I'm disappointed also about Nanci and Emi. I wanted them to be together also.

Thanks to all of you... I laugh all the time with the recaps and the commenters... it's so much better than the show...

Hi tquir. Thank you for stopping by. I'm so glad to hear that you have been enjoying the recaps and the comments. Hope you comment more often.

Thank you for the rant Vivi!!! They are always well written with excellent points! I couldn't agree more! It makes no sense that they don't return Vero to her mother, she needs care and medication and they have the poor woman sweeping floors?! The goat family are dumb as stumps!
