Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #30 Mon 10/5/15 (Mex 40) Roxi needs her throat punched, NOW!!
Gigi runs into the kitchen to continue working with Gael on her college registration stuff. The rabid racoon, Roxi, enters the kitchen hissing and spitting and tries to pick a fight about Gigi having been in the car the night Benito took her and drunk Aitana to the club. Since this doesn't get Gigi's goat, she grabs the folders with the college papers, pretends to read them, inserting her own childish venom and eventually rips the whole folder in two. Gianna screams and cries and runs to retrieve them, Gael right behind her.
Here's the other big sigh of relief. Pedro turns down Aitana's proposition to give their lurve another go. She thinks that after all they've been through, they've remade themselves and deserve to try again. Nope! Pedro doesn't have a head for "us", just for himself and the business. Sorry Charlie, only good tuna get to be Star-kissed! Pedro's outta there!
Sonia does a mini freak out over being pregnant and wonders who planted the spawn: Osvaldo or Fabio. Osvaldo enters the bedroom, she lies about being upset and proposes they make a little great grand for Granny. Ooops, coulda really used the tuna line for Sonia! Osvaldo has seen her use her feminine wiles too many times and they don't turn him on. Osvaldo's outta there! Sonia puts the pregnancy test stick under her pillow and texts Fabio: she's got to see him ASAP!
Back in the kitchen the hateful Roxi says all kinds of hateful things summed up by this phrase which really sticks out and makes me wish Sara could appear in the kitchen: "People like you don't have the right to dream. No university will accept an ignorant peasant like you!" Gael reassures Gianna he will get copies of the documents and escorts her from the kitchen. Roxi is just warming up. He's trying to make himself feel like a king by going for a sick servant girl. He's such a little man, a drug addict. All he's got going for him is his last name. Without that, he's nothing!
In Eloisa's bedroom, Freddie the loathsome leech latches onto Eloisa to make sure Ramiro as the mastermind behind the acidic eye drops story sticks. Freddie claims to have always gotten a bad vibe from him. Hmmm, Eloisa thinks that's curious as Ramiro really was kind of invisible and she never expressed such feelings before. Well, there's a lot she thinks that she doesn't say. There's a knock on the door. Dante enters to announce that charges have been pressed against Ramiro. Another knock. It's Aitana so Freddie and Dante leave. Outside Freddie expresses glee that Ramiro is taking the fall. Dante is not so sure. What if Ramiro can prove he's innocent? Freddie is NOT worried. Ramiro is a nobody. It's him against the whole might Angeles clan. Her phone announces a text. It's her lawyer. He's analyzed the documents she sent (which purport to show that her father, Gabriel, was swindled) and he's got news. We are saved from seeing the conclusion of a playful wrestling over the phone between Dante and Freddie, though Dante was not smiling.
Julieta is still in bandages. The Dr. says despite the decrease in pain, he still can't tell how much damage was done to her eyes. They have to wait until morning. Sergio and Anibal are there and argue over who will stay. The Dr. asks them to chill or get out. Sergio suggests Julieta choose. She chooses Anibal only because they have to talk "very seriously" about their marriage. Sergio leaves and promises to come back later. Anibal smarms over Julieta's hand that he's sure they'll settle things.
Back to the Eloisa/Aitana conversation. Aitana doesn't know what to do. Granny Eloisa is frustrated: she has told Aitana she will help her to conquer Pedro but Aitana must do her part. Okay friends, I've been pretty tolerant of Granny but, I'm sorry, an old woman trying to advise a young woman on how to touch the "intimate fibers" of her grandson, to soften and romance him, THAT'S the limit, disgusting and icky! I'm embarrassed to have heard the whole conversation. Granny is like "DO something or I'm going to think I was wrong about you!"
Fiorella calms Gianna down about the rabid Roxi. There are copies, relax, the hate is not good for her heart. She reminds her Gael is going to help her and the only thing that matters is that she is going to study. fiorella tells Gianna she is SO proud of her and gives her a motherly kiss on the forehead. Gianna does calm but then notes that Fiorella seems worried. Fifi tells her about Vitto's proposition. Fiorella admits she is falling more and more in love with Pedro each day. "Then why don't you risk everything for him and forget this foolish and absurd promise you made to Sr. Vitto!" Preach, Gianna!
Fidel, our Fairy Godfather, is with Pedro and notes that HE is down in the mouth as well and he ain't going to buy that it's about the business. It's about that muchacha Italiana, isn't it? Pedro admits it is. Fidel asks if he's really in love with her. Yes, Pedro is. Fidel asks Pedro to recall what his Abuelo Maximo said to him when they were playing (the magical, paranormal, ghostly) chest game. Pedro recalls, "He said the most important piece is the Queen." There's his answer, he has to risk it all for the Queen. But this is not a game, Pedro protests. Fidel agrees. It's more important than that; it's love. "Risk it all, go all in for the love you feel for Fiorella. . .it's that, or give up!"
People. The next scene at the dinner table was so horrible, I have to RPC it. Everyone is at the table except Sonia and Roxi tears into Gael again, mocking him for his interest in Gianna. Freddie started it by accusing Pedro of not having the energy to remember some supposed fantastic gesture Aitana made at a suprise birthday party for him because he was so exhausted from helping Fiorella. Anyway, between Roxi and Osvaldo they call him a retard, a masochist who is skilled at self-sabotage and destruction, a loser that no normal woman would want. Pedro makes a feeble attempt to defend him and Granny an even feebler one but mainly she warns him to obey the social rules that they didn't invent but must follow: An Angeles must aspire to much more than a mere servant. Gael finally gets enough of being bullied and runs from the table. Pedro follows suit. He's had enough of their idiotic comments and exits in a different direction than Gael. Granny wonders aloud where Sonia is. She's having dinner with a friend. Freddie and Roxie snicker.
Sonia is with Fabio and she's trying to touch his intimate fibers as well. She wonders if they can have something more stable: she's soooo tired of Osvaldo. Oooops. Fabio's phone rings. He's all brilliant smiles and Ti amos. Sonia is like what the . . . It's the little woman from Italy, she calls like eight times a day! Sonia is shocked! Yes, he's married, didn't he tell her? and she's expecting their THIRD child! Hey, what, Sonia!? Fabio stands and stammers at her back. Sonia's outta there!
Diana re-offers herself to Vitto who is taking out his frustration over Fiorella on the Dolce Vita staff.
Benito, Gianna, Fiorella and Fidel eat in the kitchen. Gianna and Benito get into it over the lamprey eel-like lip lock Roxi had on him at the club. Simoneta comes in with a message from Pedro for Fifi. Simoneta and Fidel look at the bickering Gigi and Benny and cluck that they think something is starting there. NO! I don't want Gigi with Benny!
Back at the hospital Anibal thinks they can save the marriage. Julieta thinks its too late. The serious marriage talk devolves in about ten seconds flat to his blaming her for his infidelities, she being shocked and hurt by his accusation, his dissing her quality as a wife because she's barren and her putting him out and never wanting to see him, no, really NEVER wanting to SEE him again and Julieta dissolving in tears. On his way out he accuses her of just wanting that stupid Sergio!
Meanwhile, at what should be El Rancho de los Diablos, Gael runs out into the darkness, the cruel words of the "family" echoing in his head. Gael falls to his knees and takes out his tube of dope. Gigi runs to him. Gael says he can't take it anymore. Gigi pleads that she's not sure all he means but it's not going to help and then he will feel worse! "All my life, since I was a child, they have dedicated themselves to making me feel useless, good for nothing, not important, not enough, like trash!" Giana grabs Gael and holds him, cradling his head against her breast. "Taking drugs will only turn you into what they say you are!" Gianna takes the tube and hurls it as hard as she can, into the night and then kneels and takes Gael into her arms again.
Sonia arrives back home, gets in a pissy fight with Osvaldo. She is maybe about to tell him about the pregnancy but she faints and we get about a ten second display of what looks like genuine concern on Osvaldo's part before we're whisked away to see what Pedro wanted with Fiorella.
Fiorella enters the darkened stable with a lantern. Pedro asks her to follow his voice. He is there with a beautiful horse, Albano, and tells the story of how, with mutual faith between him and the horse they were able to heal his fractured foot when the vet had advised that Albano should be put down. Okay, it's not very romantic. Or, well, maybe it is if you're a real horse lover, but anyway Pedro says, "The relationship between us is broken, like Albano's foot. We will have a thousand obstacles between us; people who will tell us we have no future together, that we're doomed to fail but it doesn't matter because I have faith in us. Together we can fight for this love because we love each other and nobody can tell us that we can't fight for a life together. What do you say? Will you fight with me?
And we are made to wait for tomorrow for the (hopefully uninterrupted) kiss!

"... I'm sorry, an old woman trying to advise a young woman on how to touch the intimate fibers of her grandson, to soften and romance him, THAT'S the limit..." I agree 100%, it felt icky having Eloisa advising Aitana about stirring Pedro's romantic fibers or whatever the heck that was. Sheesh, Grandma, is nothing sacred?
The family dinner was so uncomfortable to watch, with everyone beating up on poor Gael. It was a lesson in classism, led by Eloisa, although she was trying to be more humane than the others.
Loved the nosey horse! Great scene in the stable, however, will it be enough to sway Fifi? (Anyone know if horse's broken feet heal spontaneously?)
Okay to bed, thanks again Lila,
J in Oregon
I think the horse is healed or Pedro was making the whole thing up. But who knows more about the coming uphill battle than Pedro?
Rox sank to a new low this time and took most of the family with her. Even Anibal who wasn't even there. And while I think Julieta is a world-class bitch, even she doesn't deserve what he dishes out.
yikes...abuela tutoring Aitana on Pedro's "romantic fibers'...wait...what..no...just no.
Rotten Roxy is on my last nerve. She reminds me of catty girks I have had in detention hall. She is insufferable.Cue the rabid raccoon.
I really wish Pedro were more forceful about calling out Eloisa and the family at the table. It does not leave me confident that if Fi did throw herself into his arms and accepted his love, that we'd actually see him lay it all on the line and publicly defy Eloisa. If I were Fi, I wouldn't be able to forget how he hid and denied Tania.
He could do what Alejandro in Ramona did, which would be to threaten resignation if Eloisa refused to accept Fiorella as his bride. She is the only one whose opinion matters. Sergio would back him and I'm sure Gael would, too.
More on the subject of Rox: If Eloisa could have witnessed what went on in the kitchen I think she would have thrown her out. This was beyond disrespectful; it was cruel beyond belief. It makes me wonder why she wasn't shipped off to a convent school years ago.
A pox on Rox!
Boy, they're really setting Roxy up for a precipitous fall from "grace." At some point her crass, unclassy behavior is going to finally get Eloisa's goat, and her haughty days will be over.
When Sonia was considering who could be her baby's father, she did not mention Pedro - ergo, they did not do the deed.
I wonder if Gigi will be able to save Gael from himself. He seemed to be open to this, but a relationship with her, by definition within the family, will underscore his worthlessness.
I was not as offended by Eloisa coaching Aitana as the rest of you, and anyway, I didn't understand it as coaching so much as a frustrated Eloisa telling Aitana to use her feminine wiles to get Pedro's interest. AND I was encouraged to hear her say that if she couldn't do even that, then maybe Eloisa's confidence in her was misplaced.
Very happy that Fi isn't going to live with Vito "until the day of the wedding" which I hope means "never."
Thanks again, Lila.
David
J. I felt so sorry for Gael! He looked as if he wanted the earth to open up and swallow him! Thank goodness Gigi found out about the bullying and ran to him! Gosh, I love those two together.
Oh, poopy cakes! I gotta go do stuff to get ready to go to work. Sometimes the cat's away so hopefully I can play on the patio!
Ci vediamo tutti più tardi! See you all later!
This was another one that I mostly FFWD--> thru the crying and screaming.
I hated that narcissistic vulture family dinner scene. Poor Gael .... his drug use is a symptom of deeper problems, like poor self worth/esteem and an awful family.
Noticed last night that Fedor-ica had a red Kabbalah string on her wrist. I thought Maximo's memorial service was in a Catholic church. What-evs.
Roxi Raccoon needs a massive anvil to hit her. Her biggest problem is that nobody ever gave her a parent figure, so she has no authority figure in her life and thus, has no respect for anyone or anything.
Anibal is a complete jerk. Promising to go to marriage therapy but the minute Julieta points a finger at him, he turns the tables and .... it's all HER fault. This guy needs an even larger anvil. Or better yet, a train locomotive to hit him.
Fidel is our only "voice of reason" in this telenovela. Bless his heart! Goodness knows, there's no priest anywhere on the scene within miles of this pack of jackals. If they had a priest, he would need to be a specialist in exorcisms.
Eh, yeah, Pedro, I'll believe you're going to "luchar" for your love when you actually DO IT. Dude, actions speak louder than words. Ya basta! Announce it to your family already.
I'm so sick of Seaweed Hair girl and her hair. WHO walks around the house all day in a cocktail dress with bling on it?
How long til Sonia tries to pin her pregnancy on Pedro? Didn't she and Assvaldo do-the-deed a few episodes before she kicked boots with Fabio?
"Fiorella says NO to the long-haired, baggy-suited, ancient Mack Daddy, Vittorio Dragon", "Anibal smarms over Julieta's hand" and "Fidel, our Fairy Godfather
Diana re-offers herself to Vitto" were a few of my favorites.
"An Angeles must aspire to much more than a mere servant". Eloisa, you matter not a whit to me now. Now, get on your broom and fly off. You have a huge holiday coming up at the end of this month.
I loved the Albano story and “Together we can fight for this love because we love each other and nobody can tell us that we can't fight for a life together” touched me. Another highly hoped for promise of romance.
Gael's storyline is so very sad. He has been driven to the depths of despair. I'm happy that Gi is there for him and if they end up in love or as dear friends, her hope and kindness will guide him and hopefully, give him courage. I agree David that Granny's declaration will certainly not fan the flames of romance and Gael will have a long road before he can build up any confidence, let alone defy his grandmother and her elitism.
Vivi, I am also disappointed in Pedro. I believe his respect for his grandmother is clouding his judgement. He needs to show and tell that he is in love for Fiorella. It is not a secret for her ears only.
Roxy is horrific. Her poor mother's heart must break a little more at each successive tirade. You're right UA "Rox sank to a new low this time and took most of the family with her". Ack.
Thank you Lila!
Diana
Yes, good name for an alternate title, Sara, A Pox on Rox! What a miserable smear of a human being. David, you are right, she IS getting set up for a BIG fall from grace and I can't wait to see it! She will die of mortification to learn that her mother is a "mere servant!"
As for Granny's advice to Aitana. Granny should know, what with them almost being at the altar, that Aitana has been all UP in Pedro's "intimate fibers," and apparently Pedro is not interested in having her there again. Where is that Almighty Angeles Pride that they were beating the crap out of Gael with? Is that not "outside the range" of an Angeles to have that furry heffa dump Pedro, the CEO and Beloved of Maximo, as they're about to tie the knot?
Naw, Granny needs to back off and let Pedro decide what inflames his fibers and if he would, as Vivi said, be more forceful with Granny, she wouldn't be running around trying to tell this loser chick how to turn him on but be trying to help Fiorella fit into Pedro's world!
Yes, Fidel is our voice of reason and secular priest!
Seaweed Hair girl Ha hahahha! What else we got, someone named her Cousin It! Love it!
Diana! Love this: Eloisa, you matter not a whit to me now. Now, get on your broom and fly off. You have a huge holiday coming up at the end of this month. HA!
All I can say is this place is a den of vipers and both our male galans should get the hell out of there. There was not a sorry look by any of them when Pedro called them out...and worst of all was Eloisa. I'm sorry, as the Matriarch, she rules that roost, and there should have been a fist down on the table shouting "Enough" as the insults were hurled. Instead she looks at a broken Gael and mutters her absurdities about status and whatevers. About made me physically sick.
And when Gael reached for the drugs, my heart sank until Super Gia showed up. Bless her, hope these two can weather this together. Ok, I'm still shaking just thinking about that whole fiasco.
Sure Roxy was disgusting, but they all are and she just feeds off the hatred and sense of entitlement they all possess. It will be with the utmost pleasure to watch when she learns she is has that "peasant" blood running through her veins as well.
And as for Cousin It and Eloisa...again, that old bat is a meddlesome snob and is the root cause for all the mess in this family. Any shred of understanding we were led to have for her went right out the window last night. (Oh, and add to that her sitting with Freddie Frankenstein and laughing away...those two deserve each other.)
I would love to say don't care about Sonia, but somehow this is going to come back to haunt Pedro.
If Fifi comes back to Pedro tonight with the "Oh, I have to honor my promise", maybe we can hope the horse gives her a good swift kick to knock some sense into her.
Daisynjay
"Sorry Charlie, only good tuna get to be Star-kissed!"
"NO! I don't want Gigi with Benny!"
With Fio's imminent departure why isn't Eloise interviewing for a replacement assistant. Why hasn't Freddie offered someone up?
What a lame excuse, not living with Vitto before marriage. Wasn't the assumption she would when Fio got to Mexico?
Pedro, Pedro, Pedro, dude a horses broke leg and love between you and Fio, the horse should have kicked you. TLC and a good vet can fix that leg but nooobody can fix stupid.
Eloise loves the nastiness at table. They say what she wants to.
I hope Gianna isn't the only one we see grow and be able to look these people in the eye and tell them to take a hike as we move along. I will be disappointed if they keep playing Fifi as the milquetoast and easily frightened through most of this. It's one thing to be an assistant/step up from a servant, and be treated like garbage. Or be manipulated like Vitto is doing. Sorry, he knows he's playing with someone who is innocent and too trusting. He's not stupid and he is taking advantage of that...makes it all the more lecherous on his part.
Daisynjay
Fiorella is no country bumpkin but she is also not a sophisticated city slicker. She is a sheltered young woman with the equivalent of a high school education. She's worked at comparatively menial jobs since her mother's death and been a maternal influence on Gianna, who is even more sheltered.
The ironically-named Angeles family hasn't forgiven Sonia for being an outsider. While Gia and Fiorella have far better manners they are not perceived as coming from anything better because of how they got there in the first place.
Now that it's known that Fiorella is to marry Vittorio, they will see her as a gold-digger with a far stronger stomach than Sonia's. That's not working in her favor.
Ciao, Daisynjay! Mille grazie. I seem to have a talent for getting smack downs and mack downs, it's okay! It's all for the team and my Patio Peeps!
Shame on Granny for letting them bully Gael like that. Does she have to find him hanging to know how hurt he is!
Amen: If Fifi comes back to Pedro tonight with the "Oh, I have to honor my promise", maybe we can hope the horse gives her a good swift kick to knock some sense into her.
Okay, back to work stuff. later!
Pedro, Pedro, Pedro, dude a horses broke leg and love between you and Fio, the horse should have kicked you. TLC and a good vet can fix that leg but nooobody can fix stupid.
Vivi at 11:05, your question is Right On! She DOESN'T need to be hosed down and tamed! She is NOT feral! THEY are just hopeless snobs!
Love your comment at 11:39, Urban!
But I also think, Fifi has a poor sense of self in regards to her own skills and how she has had to be mother, nursemaid, wage-earner, in the past. Most likely because her work has been more what could be thought of as menial, unfairly, she seems to translate that to how she deals with people in general. We saw that back in Italy. She is easily made fearful by anyone she feels is "better" or more in authority than she is, whether they are or not. Has a lot to do with how she is handling Vitto too...and the schmuck that he is, I think he knows that full well and is playing on that innocence. Lecherous old coot.
I want to see Fifi get more confidence...somehow through taking classes herself, something. I don't want her left to be browbeat through this whole thing. Wonderful to see Gia growing, but let's bring Fi along with that too. Hey Pedro, maybe get her out of the house and into a job at the business? He sees the vipers first hand... do something about taking the women you claim to love out of that.
Daisynjay
Now, in reality, I do think THEY could learn some things from her. Agree with Daisy that she needs some more self confidence; confidence in the assertiveness and feistiness we've seen; in her deep sense of integrity, her penchant for seeing and telling it like it is. Fiorella is in a maternal sacrificial role. When she was comforting Gianna she was telling her very clearly that Gianna DOES have a right to dream but she doesn't believe that about herself.
The first time outside the employee quarters when Pedro declared his love and asked her to fight with him she even said it was a nice dream that could never come true!
I don't know if the horse analogy or the horsie's kick will do it but she needs to grow into a firm sense of herself as a capable woman worthy of having and pursuing dreams of her own and not just being the wind beneath Gianna's wings or the fulfillment of what she thinks is a promise to her Father.
Ghost Equality!
I call Fio stupid because unlike Pedro, whom I believe will do what ever is necessary including telling Eloise to accept or he's gone, she uses idiotic reasoning not to make a definitive decision. When she speaks about love with Pedro, she frustrates him with the idiotic promise, yet when Vitto speaks to her of the marriage plans she puts him off with a job she's had for 3 days, one of which she was in jail. If she is going to honor the promise, honor the promise, sit with Vitto, make plans and be done with it. If she wants Pedro then tell Vitto it ain't gonna happen. Is she trying to people please here, is she really that confused (stupid) by this life choice or does she not believe she's worthy and deserves pain?
I don't think Fio is ignorant, simple minded but not ignorant. She has sacrificed for Gianna but Gianna is preparing for university and Fio will have an empty nest. It's time for Fio to think about Fio.
It shouldn't even be legal for a man to marry a girl young enough to be his grand-daughter.
All that said, I cut her slack. It's not so long since their Dad died, leaving them penniless and the whole whirlwind trip to Mexico and Gianna fainting at every turn around. Besides, I like Fifi. I have no reason to dislike her. She's just being herself, the Cinderella in this story and I feel comforted knowing she does not face some dark fate like Aldonza did and that she WILL get her man in the end.
I reserve the right to yell at her from time to time, though!
;D
Gonna be mighty lonely in Vitto's house with Gianna away at school and playing asleep at 6 pm every night to keep the old coot off her.
And loved the alliteration on this one: Freddie the Loathsome Leech Latches onto Eloisa. "F" is a slimy, oily blood-sucking creature, insinuating her evil influence wherever she can. Continue to hate her.
Which evidently is not good for me! In every telenovela, characters continually counsel others not to harbor anger and resentment in their hearts. Even if the hurt and humiliation happened 2 seconds ago. I agree that holding onto anger and resentment FOR YEARS is toxic, but one can hardly manufacture instant forgiveness. The human heart doesn't work that way. In a recent conversation with a friend, she was so mad at two family members, she said "I WANT TO HURT SOMEONE!" And sure enough, the next day...she, not the others, was experiencing angina and chest pain. So yes, clear the negative feelings as quickly as you can, but at first, what you need most is patience and to stop rehearsing all the anger. And maybe a little nitroglycerin.
Glad you didn't dwell on the dinner table beat-down. Left me feeling a little nauseous. Truly ugly.
As always, you're the Queen of Transitions, Lila, with your "Sonia is with Fabio, and she's trying to touch his intimate fibers as well." Never thought of fibers as X-rated, but they sure came off like that in this one.
Lastly...right with you on "Okay. It's not very romantic." So not. Lantern light and Pedro's muscles aside, talking about horse injuries isn't the best way to soften a woman's heart. But whatever.
Oh, and another painful scene: the Julietta/Anibal confrontation. True, it's classic that the unfaithful spouse will put all the blame on the victim. We're all committed to seeing ourselves as good, reasonable people--so if we behave shamefully, well "Look what you made me do!" But to throw a wife's infertility in her face at a moment like that...truly dirty pool.
Quite an episode. Mostly unpleasant. But you made it fun with your lively re-telling, Lila. Thanks.
All quite sad. And many people do beat themselves up eternally for mistakes made early on. When clearly, all of us, had we seen a better way, would have made wiser choices.
It will be interesting to see how and why she and Fiorella eventually come to realize that they are mother and child. (Not a spoiler..just guessing this will take place.
Now what pisses me off about this episode:
These dumb ignorant supposedly intellegent
People who seem to think that they are better
Than the people that serve them. NOT!!!!
THAT OLD WOMAN, that old HEFFA, I don't
Care what century she was born in, you do not you don't put yourself above someone
Else cause you"ve been blessed to have alot
Of money, have a house with over five rooms,
Wear exspensive close, and have no money worries. She basically said that" our servents
Are beneath us, don't marry them, we are deserving of a better class of people than they. Maybe not those words, but thats what
She meant. And what Maximo didn't work for he stole from somebody else and she's reaping the benefits of it sitting her gray behind up in that house looking down on her crooket family like shes better than they are and she's no better than they are. And nasty
Skinny a$$ roxy, I would love to see doris on
From "YNEH" Yall know, the one thats on at
10:00, beat her nasty but all over that kitchen. The only part of this episode I like
Was when pedro sent for fifi, and the talk he
Had with her about fighting for their love. And she better not drop the ball.
These vultures. Is he a bio child or adopted?
I don't think it matters with this bunch.}:-|
The right pedigree. Seriously. LATAM lives for and by their "class" system, AFAIK. This is why so many telenovelas have the heroine as a poor little girl who, it is discovered, was sired or birthed by a rich person. The joke is on the upperclass.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think she ever told him about the baby she gave up.
And there are people in El Norte who prove that we have a class system, too. We're just in denial about it.
HEE HEE! You said it, Tofie. I just hope it doesn't happen!
JudyB! Grazie, amica mia! What you say is so true about holding on to anger and resentments. It's easy to make the mistake that somehow anger is empowering: it's so hard and full of razor sharp spines, surely it must be a weapon! It is, but it only hurts the holder of it. Takes a while to learn that, though, a long while and a lot of deep cuts.
JudyB, I don't know, I just resented Granny's interference with Aitana and Pedro. Her little pep talk just felt slimy. And that also describes Anibal. Whoever named him Animal sure nailed it.
Let's hope we get some kissy face tonight!
Hey, Nina! Bring the righteous anger, girl! Grazie!
hat Maximo didn't work for he stole from somebody else and she's reaping the benefits of it sitting her gray behind up in that house looking down on her crooket family like shes better than they are and she's no better than they are.
Yah, "sitting her gray behind" at the head of the table holding court and tolerating the mental and emotional homicide of her own grandson. That's sadder than her classism.
We'll see if Fifi is ready to fight tonight, Nina! Thank you, hon!
Hi, Doris. What is LATAM and AFAIK. Having a DUH moment!
Actually, unless Julieta cheated on Anibal how do we know their lack of a child isn't HIS problem?
Urban, I think Anibal is just as deluded as Roxi. HE is probably the one shooting blanks!
My favorite characters are turning stupid, Eloisa, QTF??
Maybe the reason is that I don't much like Jose Ron, but he is ridiculous.
BUT ,I must say the recaps are stupendous!!!! Gracias, thank you, merci, grazie!!
Thanks, Doris!
I was picturing a show called "Vittorio Dragone: Mack Daddy" and I think that's a show I'd make sure my DVR permanently forgets to record. Seeing him with Fi grosses me out. Just...stop already, skeevy old dude! And I hate thinking that way because hey, love knows no age. And if Fi even liked him as a person, this would be easier to stomach, but she doesn't even like spending time with him, much less...er...anything else. And he knows it!
Oh dear, so Fabio is an option for sperm donor? Greeeeat.
There are so many people to whom the tuna line applies.
I can't decide what the worst part of the Eloisa/Aitana conversation was. The fact that Eloisa doesn't seem to care that Pedro doesn't love Aitana? The fact that Aitana doesn't have a clue what to do about it? The fact that I was afraid Eloisa was going to give her some hints, in graphic detail?
"The next scene at the dinner table was so horrible, I have to RPC it." And if I'd read the recap first, I could have VPCd it. Yuck. Just yuck.
"NO! I don't want Gigi with Benny!" Right there with you!
I just can't even with Anibal.
OK, Sonia, you're pregnant. We get it. Enough with the fainting already!
The whole last scene would have been much better if Pedro had just not been talking. A horse, a stable, a hot guy...just hush, Pedro.
So Sonia could be having Fabio's FOURTH child for him!
Do you get my disgust with Granny!? It felt like she DID get graphic with her advice to Aitana and that's what made me call time out. Sheesh!
What they did to Gael was HORrible and it seemed to go on forEVER!
HEE HEE:
The whole last scene would have been much better if Pedro had just not been talking. A horse, a stable, a hot guy...just hush, Pedro.
Grazie, sorellina mia!
I really hope Gael gets better and gets away from those vultures.Looks like Sonia is doing damage control about her pregnancy. Fiorella should actually listen to the people around her, if brash Gigi is saying something logical, she should be listening
Elorej
Everything you say is just simply RIGHT ON!
I hope you join the chatter on the Patio again, Elorej! Mille grazie!
