Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #32 Wed 10/7/15 (Mex 43-44)

I'm drawing a blank on the title tonight.  It's the pressure of subbing for Eli.  Send her some good work vibes, y'all!

Oh, good grief, Fi…of course Pedro isn't interested in Aitana!  He jokes that he doesn't know who Aitana is. They're back to making plans about when/how to tell everybody.  But Sonia has already headed back inside, so have fun with that, kids.  Aw, we get so many parting kisses.  *sigh*  I'm taking that as a bad sign.

Gael and Gianna are talking about his visit with the psychologist.  And how maybe it's not so weird to tell a total stranger everything about yourself, 'cause he told Gianna a lot of stuff when they'd barely met.  They roll around with each other in the grass, but we are denied any lip action.  Bummerrrrrrrrr!

It's the Benito and Rox show.  He's only the boss of them when they're away from the house, but at the house…gotta keep up appearances, right "gatito" (little servant boy).  Rox's mood is soured by hearing Gael and Gianna's laughter.

He builds suspense around telling her something…important…that he thinks she's really going to like… but not here in the grass, in the horse ring…they go running off, away from Benito and Rox's prying ears.  I don't really care which one of them may or may not be jealous.

Quick cut to school(?) where they continue their spying mission.  I tune them out.  Gael and Gianna walk out of an office with folders.  They are now both enrolled to study medicine and he's paying her tuition.  The family doesn't need to know.

Sonia confronts Fiorella about what she saw.  Sonia tells Fi that she and Pedro have had more than secret kisses…just ask him.

Before yet another family meal can descend into vileness, Julieta's Welcome Home dinner is interrupted by a screaming Anibal.  He tries to assert his rights as Julieta's husband, but there's a table full of people, headed by Sergio, who are ready to defend her.  Eloisa brings up the rear and threatens to call "security."  Anibal says they'll be hearing from his lawyer.  I don't even know which of the last two statements was funnier.

Fi mopes and remembers her conversation with Joaquina.  She pours a little lemon juice on that paper cut, thinking about Pedro and Aitana cooking together.  She salts the whole thing with Sonia's lies about having a thing with Pedro.

In the school caf, Rox and Benito just "happen" to run into Gael and Gianna.  Rox has decided to enroll to study medicine and save the world.  Um…I wouldn't trust her to do the interior decorating of a medical office, much less practice any actual medicine.

Fi tells Pedro what Sonia said.  Pedro remembers waking up with Sonia (the horror!) and Fi asks if he and Sonia are lovers.  "Um…uh…um…I was drunk and…I don't remember…but we didn't…what happened was…she says…."  Yeah, this isn't going over well.  And here Fi was worried about their class differences, but hell, she doesn't deserve a dude who'd sleep with his cousin's wife.  And if he really had, I'd totally back her on that play.

Does anybody care what Rox has to say about her newfound interest in a career in medicine?  Gael eventually drags her away and Benito sits down with Gianna and tries to play the nice guy, but…you kissed Roxana with that mouth.  Take your concerned look and shove it.

Gael and Rox.  Gianna and Benito.  Gael and Gianna are both saying "We're just friends."  But we all know what that means.  "I'm gonna tell grandma!"  Oh, shut up, Rox!  Benito claims to be over Fi.  We all know what THAT means.

Dante tells Eloisa he changed the key to the safe after Anibal's little scene.  Eloisa says that was a great idea!  They've got to keep Fed from finding these papers.  There are secrets in here that it would be very inconvenient for both Eloisa and Dante if they fell into Federica's hands.  So why is she taking them OUT of the safe, I wonder?  Dante tries to justify Fed's behavior and Eloisa agrees it's perfectly natural for her to want to find out what happened to her dad…but inconvenient.  She warns him to stop feeling sorry for Fed.

Gianna comes home with her good news.  She's about to start talking about Rox, but she notices Fi is crying.  Fiorella thinks Pedro is Sonia's lover.  And here she was going to ditch skeevy Vito for him!  She thinks this is a sign that she needs to marry Vito.  Does anybody want to contribute money to hire a skywriter?  'Cause if it's a sign she wants, we can totally get her a sign that says "DON'T MARRY THE SKEEVY DUDE!"

Fi's still teary in the kitchen later.  Joaquina's a little too smug for my taste, saying Fi figured out Pedro isn't "for" her, right?  Fi doesn't tell her about Sonia.  Joaquina says she won't push her, but yeah, Fi's better off without him.  Love with the boss is…impossible.

Fi calls Vito, but he's having a hard time sweet-talking with Diana standing right there.  Fi asks if he bought her wedding dress like he was planning to.  More verbal fumbling as Diana sits in his lap and starts doing illicit things to the ear that's not on the phone.  Vito offers to take her to see the designer tomorrow.  Then he scolds Diana.

Pedro confronts Sonia, but Osvaldo shows up and everybody pretends it was nothing.  Sonia makes pointed remarks about Pedro's drinking lately.  Osvaldo would just love for Pedro to have a drinking problem…he'll be watching him.

Pedro tries to talk to Fi.  He begs for a chance to tell her the truth and then he'll never bother her again.  Fi needs to see Eloisa first.

Gianna is suddenly not looking forward to going to classes with Rox, but Gael points out that it's not likely Rox will actually show up for class.  Joaquina overhears them talking and she's thrilled to hear that Rox is going to school.  She hopes Gael and Gianna will rub off on her.  Oh, good luck with that.

Fi and Eloisa watch a movie and Fi cries.  She blames it on the movie.  Some couple did so much cooking for their wedding feast and nobody showed up.  Eloisa acts like she's explaining to a small child, "It's just a movie.  It's fiction.  Make-believe."  Well, yeah, I know it's "just a show."  Damn, Eloisa!  Can't a girl have whatever feelings she's having without you being all snotty about it?  Oh…sorry…she was talking to Fi.  Uh, anyway, since Eloisa can't fathom getting all teary-eyed over a movie she figures there must be some other reason.  The reason himself walks in, but Eloisa doesn't recognize him as such.  Fi says her dad always used to put on Mexican movies and she got nostalgic is all.  Pedro: "Not all love stories have to be full of drama.  Some of them can be simple and happy." Seriously, Pedro?  Eloisa: "Yes, simple.  Like yours with Aitana.  I don't know why you're stalling.  You're made for each other!"  Fi: "Maybe Señor Pietro has another love?"  Eloisa: "Oh, my grandson would tell me, wouldn't he?"  Fi: "My dad told me that the guys in movies and the ones in real life are the same.  Traitorous and full of mystery."  Seriously, Mario?  Eloisa agrees…except that her Pedro's totally "transparente," (obvious) right?  But he's not see-thru, so he needs to get out from in front of the screen so they can finish watching their movie!  Eloisa thinks the movie is upsetting Fi because of her upcoming marriage with Vito.  Even she thinks Fi should dump him rather than making a huge mistake.

Fed is starting to doubt Dante's loyalty.  He swears he'll never betray her because he loves her.  Blech!

Aitana finds Pedro outside.  He apologizes for taking off earlier for his "work" call.  She decides to show him the engagement ring he gave her.  She just happened to find it.  She had apparently tossed it, but she found it later.  She finally apologizes for what happened the day she broke off their engagement.  She thought it would be like a romantic movie and she'd throw her tantrum and he'd come running after her. Except that he didn't.  She begs him to remember what he said the day he gave her the ring, but he says he can't remember.  He remembers being nervous and his hands sweating and telling her that he'd had a unique ring made for a unique woman.  She keeps prompting him and he remembers saying he thought the only thing between them was a beautiful friendship, but with time, he got to know her and he realized she was "the one" and they could be happy together and their families would be happy and did she want to marry him.  Predictably, Fi heard just enough to make her think he's proposing rather than remembering.  Pedro gives her back the ring and says that's all in the past.  At the time, yes, she was the right woman for him, but they've moved on since then.  They can't go back to the way things were.  He says he appreciates her, but he doesn't feel what he did before and he won't be able to feel that again.  Hey, she was wearing jeans!  That look went much better with the hair.

Fi was apparently skulking around because she was supposed to be meeting Pedro, which makes his very verbal walk down Memory Lane all the more stupid.  Once Fi gets back to the house, Benito is there to be nosy…I mean, to console her.  Fi swears she's not crying because of Pedro…or Vittorio, though she cries even harder when she says so.  Benito tries to talk her out of marrying Vito.  If she doesn't marry for love, she'll regret it the rest of her life.  Or, you know, the rest of Vito's life.  Yeah, I said it.  I'm going to hell.

Osvaldo and Sonia enjoy a romantic dinner.  Osvaldo remembers some previous date where Sonia sung her heart out to him.  I swear, I recognize this song, but they're not giving me enough to place it!  That's going to bother me.  Sonia says she can't believe she didn't faint while she was singing.  Got it!  It's Laura Pausini, "Quiero Decirte Que Te Amo"…and now I must listen to the whole song.  Talk amongst yourselves.  I love you…you're mine…I'd never trade you for anyone else…you are my only truth...never let me go…. Wow, that's romantic and all, but I can't imagine Os and Sonia ever actually feeling this way about each other.  And if Sonia really meant it when she sang it then I feel sorry for her again.  They're both waxing rhapsodic about what was apparently their first date, and Sonia said it was love at first sight, but Osvaldo's look turns sour.  She ruined it all by getting pregnant.  Excuse me, dude, but I'm pretty sure that's a 2-person job.  And if it's your genetic material that did it this time around, you're going to be telling your child one hell of a crappy "How you were conceived" story.  So shut it, Os!

Joaquina tries to be affectionate with Rox, calling her "mi niña" (my girl, my little girl) like she used to when Rox was little.  She's so happy about Rox going back to school.  Rox is all "whatever."  She's an Angeles.  Joaquina hopes Rox doesn't throw away this opportunity and makes some kind of effort.  Being an Angeles and all.

Pedro visits Fi's bedroom to find out why she didn't meet him in the garden.  Fi asks if Aitana liked her ring. Pedro explains, but Fi doesn't want to hear it.  Any of it.  The look on his face when she asked him about Sonia is enough for her.  She throws the old dicho about "los caballeros no tienen memoria" ("gentlemen have no memory"; a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell) in his face, but Pedro swears he seriously doesn't remember!  Because he got drunk thinking he and Fi would never be together, and when he woke up--there was Sonia!  Fi is done.  She tells him to forget about her.  She's going to leave and he'll never see her again.  "If you never want to see me again, I'll stay away from you.  If that's what you want.  Hate me.  But don't marry someone you don't love!  Don't make that mistake!"  Fi's not in the mood for the advice of Señor Pietro Angeles.

Gael announces his triumphant return to med school.  Rox piggybacks, but everybody laughs at her.  She swears she'll show them she can be more than just settling for being an Angeles.  Gael also tells them he got a scholarship for Gianna.  Rox swears she heard there weren't any scholarships available.  Fi drops off Eloisa's planner…on her way to the appointment with her wedding dress designer.  Once again, Pedro and Sonia are hot on her heels.  (I missed a bit here when the show ran over and my DVR changed programs.)  Fed (I like today's hat) snarks about Gael and Rox not being able to work anymore if they're going to school.  They worked?  Just saying.  Actually, Gael says he can handle his courseload along with work.  As long as Rox is out of the house most of the day, it's all the same to Eloisa.  Fed asks if she can work instead of Rox and everybody laughs.  Fed asks Pedro if she can have Rox's job or not and he agrees.  Eloisa jokes that maybe now Fed will find a boyfriend.

Speaking of Fed and boyfriends (barf!), she tells Dante this is part of her plan to gather information.  She kisses him giddily and for whatever reason, Fiorella hasn't left yet and sees them.  And they see her, seeing them.  Fed blames it on Dante, but she clearly was the one doing the snogging.

Pedro sees Sonia in the foyer and asks her why she said what she did to Fi.  Sonia insists it happened.  And she has proof.  She's pregnant.  Well, that didn't take long.

Thank you for the recap. I am hating univision for cutting scenes. They ruined sonias and osvaldos dinner at the restaurant. The scene where they were remembering and talking of when they met each other and fell on love was longer. For a moment they were laughing and smiling and they indeed looked like a sweet and pretty couple but then Assvaldo ruined everything with his typical reclaim of sonias past pregnancy after she compare their love with a fancy tale. And by the way they also cutted a scene in when they were kissing appasionately in their bedroom but they were interrupted by a bussiness phone call to Assvaldo who promises to take her to the restaurant in exchange of her letting him attend the call.

Thanks again Kat for letting me sit in my favorite spot and watch with you.

"She pours a little lemon juice on that paper cut....She salts the whole thing"

"that's romantic and all, but I can't imagine Os and Sonia ever actually feeling this way about each other"

And here I was calling Fio simple minded and under-qualified for her job as Eloisa assistant. Damn that girl can do movie night.

Did I miss the scene when Pedro gets hit in the head with a stupid stick?

Glad he did but Gael gets what in exchange for paying Gianna's tuition? Weird

Sonia, if you had watched La Sombra you would know this won't work but go on ahead.

Another great recap from you, Kat. Gracias!

It would be nice if these writers let Fi and Pedro stay a couple for at least 2 episodes. Especially with these combined episodes, it feels like they make up and break up twice per episode. But I kind of get Fi on wanting to end things with him. Pedro has way too many issues with women for a guy who is supposedly single and free. And once again she witnessed him being a wuss in front of his grandma instead of telling her straight up that he'll choose the woman he wants to marry.

However, I can't get behind her deciding to marry Vitto. Three people this episode told her not to marry the dude if she doesn't love him. She's just being stupid about this.

Gael and Gi are adorable. I hate that Rox is there to throw rocks at their brief moments of happiness with each other. Such a useless character.

Grazie, Diva, mille grazie, veramente! Tofie hit most of my faves, I also liked

Before yet another family meal can descend into vilenes

Yah, the slice and dice make the whole story like watching a pinball game. Jeeez. STOOOPID recounting of the proposal to a wench who left yo ass at the altar and whom you don't give a rat's ass about now.

Good call not to marry someone whom you think is boinking his own cousin's wife and looking him in the face and breaking bread with him every day. Especially since the "defense" and "explanation" Pedro offered was beyond lame and DID look like an admission of guilt.

STOOOPID move to take refuge in the arms of the old dried up rooster, Vitto, and you won't even have THAT leathery piece of real estate all to yourself as Diana has demonstrated.

Eloisa, Oh, my grandson would tell me, wouldn't he? Okay. I guess that's how you rip it when you're rich and your Granny holds the purse strings. I hope he doesn't go into juicy details with her. I'm still shuddering from the intimate fibers things. Well. With that low-down, useless Sonia dropping the baby bomb, there won't be ANYbody stroking those fibers for a looooong time.

How I despise Sonia.

How I despise Roxi.

The whole episode made me want to just spit. Thank you for covering it Diva, and putting in two days in a row!

Out of the ball park Kat!! (Still on a high watching the Cubs win!) I actually didn't like big parts of the last night, but totally palatable when reading events with your wit and detail.

Sooooo tired of these, "well if I can't have you I HAVE to just marry the cretin over there" scenarios. So what you're pissed off at Pedro, Fi? (And honestly, he was a frustrating last night. Is he so worried about his piece of the pie and Grandma he can't just flat out tell her "I'm in love with that woman there." Movie night was the perfect moment with no one there. But, nooooooo.)

I digress, but that doesn't immediately mean Fi should pick up the phone and suddenly be the martyr and head straight to the old coot. I can't take it if we are going to be getting slimy Vitto all over Fi moments.

Sonia spilling on Pedro. Yeah big surprise there. Yawn. Anibal...another yawn.

As for my favorite twosome, I can't get enough of the chemistry between Gael and Gianna. Those looks they give each other. I don't think they even know how much they actually truly feel for each other, which makes this sweet. I love the intense friendship that has built that would lead to something else (we hope). That's my idea of a love story. I so love that Gael also went back to school, but he'll be in advanced classes while Gia is stuck with lame-brain (who will probably turn out to be some child genius.)

Of course it's too early in this thing to not have issues for our sweeties and "issues" thy name is Roxy. Again, I will relish the day she finds out she's part "servant blood." I foresee her trying to cheat, or blame Gianna, or switch papers in classes....we know the drill. But lord, that actress is just painful to watch. I don't love the character of Benito, bit of a player, but I do like the actor. Almost feel bad for him in their scenes together. Her facial expressions alone would be hard to deal with. Bet there is a great out-take reel there.

So can we assume Dante is actually in Eloisa's camp? Would the info actually cause Freddy heartache to learn her dad was a crook or fake himself? Or is Eloisa covering her butt for what happened in the past and seems all fine with it? I am a bit intrigued now.

Daisynjay

Great work, Kat. My fave:

Fi mopes and remembers her conversation with Joaquina. She pours a little lemon juice on that paper cut, thinking about Pedro and Aitana cooking together. She salts the whole thing with Sonia's lies about having a thing with Pedro.

Neither Sonia nor Aitana have the tiniest clue that bitchiness and desperation are not the way to succeed at the game of love. As for Sonia pulling out the pregnancy card that is dirty pool. Loved her earrings in the dinner scene, though.

I may not be remembering this correctly: Assvaldo was angry when she became pregnant the first time. Is that how she hooked him? If that's the case he probably didn't intend to marry her in the first place. If it happened after the wedding how did he expect to escape the Procreation Mandate that happens in families like this?

Anibal, Assvaldo, and Vittorio are all about control. Not good husband material. Has nobody told Vittorio that it's a maledicione to see the dress before the ceremony? What would be better: He introduces Fiorella publicly to the entire staff of La Dolce Vita and they all cringe.

What I am predicting for the moment: Vittorio is now desperate to get Diana off his tail so he introduces her to Pedro, who has a history with blondes.

More after more caffeine.

Wow! Two 5ft recaps in a row. What a treat. Just love your expertise in covering these things, and last night was a bit of a challenge.

Okay, I am not a fan of snootiness, but I hope Eloisa hangs on to hers after everything is revealed about Roxy's past, and that she sends Roxy to eat at the servants' table.

I didn't understand the necessity of the Anibal scene.

I don't like the rapid changes in status between Pedro and Fi. I think I got whiplash last night.

Diana is so unsubtle in her approach to Vito. I don't understand why she even bothers to wear clothes around him.

Ah, the lovely, but not too bright Sonia. Weaving a web of intrigue that she won't be able to manage, and her equally dumb husband will observe all this with his usual wide eyed dim wittedness.

Gael and Gigi were precious together. ToxiRoxy just can't let people alone without spewing her special brand of venom over them. I don't know how intelligent she is supposed to be, but I could totally see them making her pretty smart while Gigi struggles with academic stuff.

Thanks again, 5ft. Great job.

David

Kat - thank you for the recap of a frustrating episode. I hope this whole telenovela is not this frustrating. Maybe Univision knows what they're doing by condensing it.

Urban - Os and Sonia got married because she got pregnant. Then she lost the baby after the wedding.

That Anibal-at-dinner scene made absolutely no sense to me. Screaming and yelling like that because your wife was released from the hospital and she didn't tell you after you screamed at her IN the hospital? The guy is a nut job. Anvil City.

Family dinner @Casa Los Angeles = Fasten your seat belt; it's going to be a bumpy ride. (Normal Rockwell would have jumped off a bridge. Just sayin'....)

Benito = I kissed a raccoon and liked it. (eh, he went back for seconds, didn't he!) (and my apologies to Katy Perry)

I was multi-tasking while watching, so might be wrong, but that Diana/VitEeewww scene looked to me like it started with a surprised look on her face,,,, almost as if VitEeew had groped her fanny and that started the whole thing. Maybe I misinterpreted her facial expression?

Hi Diva......thank you for yet another wonderful retelling of this episode. I like MI, but getting so tired of Fi's glad/mad swings. Several things that keeps me hanging in is to see what happens to Eloisa. Also want to see if Freddie ever figures out ladies do not wear wide brimmed hats inside, will Diana trap Vito, is Julietta Fi's mother and is the maid Roxi's mother?

Keep a seat for me on the patio!

Daisynjay - Congrats on the Cubs' win. Hubby is a P'bugh native and Pirates fan. It was not a fun night at our house. (LOL)

Doris: Diana/VitEeewww

HA HA HAHHHAHAA!!!

I would absolutely love to see RoxiRaccoon earn dean's list grades at med school. Wouldn't that be a hoot. It might be what gets her turned around, if she is even redeemable.

Thank you so much, Kat. I didn't get to see the episode so this helped a lot. Everyone has already singled it out, but this is pure gold:

"Fi mopes and remembers her conversation with Joaquina. She pours a little lemon juice on that paper cut, thinking about Pedro and Aitana cooking together. She salts the whole thing with Sonia's lies about having a thing with Pedro."

This zinger took the cake though:

"If she doesn't marry for love, she'll regret it the rest of her life. Or, you know, the rest of Vito's life. Yeah, I said it. I'm going to hell."

I'm on my way there. If I get there first, I'll save us a table and order the drinks.

Thank you again, Kat.

Hell yeah...meeting for drinks in hell. ..you girls!!!! P.s. Is table saving allowed in hell ?

Susanlynn,
I meant to respond to one of your comments yesterday: You said something about having a hard time getting into this one. I'm having some trouble, too...but it still is not as bad as La Gata. I love watching Pedro and Fi together...and Gi and Gael. They make it worth it.

"Ah, the lovely, but not too bright Sonia. Weaving a web of intrigue that she won't be able to manage, and her equally dumb husband will observe all this with his usual wide eyed dim wittedness."

My word, David. This was absolutely poetic. Almost makes you want to now watch these two go blindly into that good night together.

Doris, I would sort of not be mad if they had Roxy have a light-bulb moment and find that she actually LIKES school and medicine. Would seem a real turn around awfully early on, but who knows.

I understand some people's frustration because I get that way with the yo-yo relationship between Fi and Pedro, and how it is all just falling into the web of typical cliched plot lines. Hopefully we won't have Pedro go back with Aitanna now and mooning over Fi while she goes thru the farce of marrying Vitto for a ridiculous length of this TN. There are a good amount of episodes left so that could try our patience. Unless they back-burner those two and turn it into the Gael & Gianna hour.

Daisynjay

Because I was gone the first couple weeks this one started it's been hard to get into. I've been good with Pedro the whole time till last night and they made him stupid all of a sudden. Not just what he says but his demeanor and stupid look in his eyes. Can't they be more clever cause I cannot take a stupid Pedro and a stupid Fio especially when they didn't even get to play in that little house yesterday.

I'm with some of you and hanging on every look, word and playful tussle between Gianna and Gael. Didn't even bother me she threw a handful of dirt on him when she chased.

I am much more into Gael's story and outcome than anything else in MIVAC.

Antidote for any sadness? Prescription? One of your amazing recaps Kat.

"Sure to cure any ill. They roll around with each other in the grass, but we are denied any lip action" and "And here she was going to ditch skeevy Vito for him!" made me smile.

These small misunderstandings yielding huge, unhappy consequences are abounding at a rapid pace.

At least Pedro's honest (though faulty) admission was finally uttered, at least the pregnancy ploy (his paternity) came into play immediately. Well, at least for Pedro.

"And she has proof. She's pregnant. Well, that didn't take long". Nopis, it didn't. Somehow I don't think this will promote much brotherly love and affection.

Thanks so much Kat!

Diana

A lot of the Vittorio/Diana stuff was left out and also a scene between Reynaldo and Vittorio where Rey tried to get Vittorio thinking about his motives for marrying Fiorella. Neither of these advance the plot but demonstrate that at least one other person thinks the whole idea of Vittorio marrying Fiorella is ridiculous.

Diana needs to stop trying so hard. It's painful to watch.

Where is a priest when we need one? There should be a priest in this story to get blunt about this absurd situation. Even Eloisa has changed her mind about this ridiculous marriage.

Thank you, Marla, tofie, Vivi, Lila, Daisynjay, Urban Anthropologist, David, doris, Emeraldrose, Sara, Susanlynn, and anyone else I might have missed. I'm glad you're still enjoying the recaps, if not the show. Sadly, other stuff is keeping me away from the patio today. If I get a chance, I'll come hang out later. If not...I'll catch you on the next recap!

Thanks, Diva! Understood. Appreciate all you do, girl!

Just great, Diva. And who needs a title? Some recappers never use them.

What a vivid image with the lemon juice on the paper cut and then salting the wound. I'm wincing just writing those words! You really know how to paint a picture.

Yes, the Gael/Gianna moments were delightful and even the bitterly jealous Roxi was unable to ruin it for them. People who don't like themselves also hate others. Clearly this gal has some self-loathing issues. And one can hardly blame her. "Waste of oxygen" as Susanlynn used to say.

I agree with everybody that the slicing and dicing make for too many breakups and make-ups with our main couple. On the other hand, I was rather amused by Diana's efforts to distract Vittorio. For once she seemed playful as well as calculated. Most of the time she just seems the latter.

Frederica's gray hat was cute, but since I hate everything about her, was unable to enjoy it. Still like Benito for some reason but not sure there's anyone else at Benny's table. I think Benito's parents could straighten out Roxy real fast!

Thanks for doing double duty Diva, and with your usual colorful flair. Much appreciated.

Oh, Judy. Could you just see Adela the first time Roxy would try to bad-mouth her, their life-style or anything in her own home. In fact, now I really really want to see that!!

I am rather awaiting to see what Freddy wears if she actually does show up for work. I guess "going to work" in those conversations always implies showing up at corporate offices. The poor people who have to deal with these revolving door do-nothings.

Daisynjay

I'm still not understanding why Eloisa allowed Federica to abstain from work all these years.

BTW, did anyone else notice Dante's facial expression during the embrace? Something is brewing there.

I did, Urban, and took it to mean that perhaps he personally carried out the hit on her father, Gabriel. Maybe it WAS a potassium chloride-induced heart attack OR if it occurred naturally perhaps Dante was in a position to get help and didn't since it allowed him to "passively" fulfill the hit.

UA..I did not notice the look on Dante's face because I always have to look away during the embraces between those two. Ew

I stole the "oxygen waster" line from my fireman friend Herb who also liked to say "Life sucks; then you die." He is kind of a downer.

Hi all! A belated thanks to lila for monday's recap and for la diva's double duty for tuesday and today.

After reading the recaps the only scenes I bothered to watch were the fi and pedro and gi and gael scenes. I knew it was too good to be true. The writers could have given us one episode where they frolick in the beach or the marina like in the intro. Just one :(

Sara and Susanlynn, are we moving the patio to hell now? It's a bit hot, I'll be sure to bring my fan and cold beverages.

are we moving the patio to hell now? HA! That's funny, Caroline! With Fifi running to VitEWWWwww (Doris), it does seem like we're hell-bound! Grazie for the thanks, Caroline!

We haven't met many of Vittorio's employees, but I'd love to see his head chef, his lawyer, or some middle-aged man tell him he's an absolute fool for forcing this very young woman into marriage. This is not just repulsive, it's potential social suicide.

We know she's not an Italian version of Anna Nicole Smith, but nobody else outside of Pedro, Fidel, Gia, Benito, and his parents know that.

Future patrons of La Dolce Vita might be going there out of curiosity for a while but will this be good for business in the long run?

LaDive, another swell recap. These people
Are insufferable.
There's some stuff I noticed that give me
Cause to think that stuff is just slowly crawl
-ing out of hiding.
Like when jaoquina said" love with the boss
Is impossible", what boss did she fall in love
In love with? And is he roxi's daddy? Max? Or
His bro gabe? And the mysteries keep on a
Comin.

Oh well Nina this novela was long and slow, it lasted like 8 months on Mexico. Maybe that is why univision is editing it too much, to advance it faster. Because yes it seems that the secrets take too much time to reveal and the writers make the situations too long to resolve. For example they made that stupid promise of fiorella marrying vittorio so untolerable.
