I haven't received any #69 of this tn on Hulu+ yet. My apologies but I was waiting for this to come up and since I do not catch the tn's on Uni any longer I was thinking it was pre-empted perhaps. If not, please leave highlites and I will post.
Thanks,
Sorry for the delay.

Bullet point highlights? I didn't see all the show friday night. Whatever you can put up will be most greatly appreciated.
Thank you: grateful commenter. :-)
Basically the negative fallout hellashelle and the rest of you clever guys predicted from MD's decision to pin the pregnancy on Julian all came about in this episode! and MD even said "perdoname" several times.
A few things:
At some point MD gave a fairly decent explanation of her thinking process [to Julian? Doris?]. It seems she is in so much fear of the Santis that she believes Max's life is in danger.
Continuing at the "party," after Julian backed up MD;s story, Max attacked Julian quite violently and had to be pulled off of him.
I think Claudio told Julian no more office space.
Max, looking wrecked, went home and trashed his own apt. Ivana calls and he tells her he and MD have broken up. Ivana later comes to check on Max at his apt, just as Alma has arrived to console her son.
Claudio and Isela took advantage of Alma's absence to get busy in the marital bed. [Isela protested weakly at first.]
Troubles with Clara and Leo, as predicted. Clara turns on MD.
We see Jenny waking up surrounded by liquor bottles. But we see she has poured them down the drain. She gathers herself, says "Fermin!" and runs out of the room. [a nurse had called Jenny on Fermin's behalf, but Jenny had denied knowing Fermin and hung up on her.]
Watch out, MD has made another decision: she is leaving town. This leaves Doris and their budding business in the lurch. MD tells Doris that whereever she is, she'll be watching over her.
• Julian, caught in a horrible position, does what we all knew he would and runs with MD’s lie. He says he just found out, but he’s happy he’s going to be a dad. Everyone stares in shocked silence for a few seconds…and then Max pretty much picks Julian up out of the chair and starts shaking him like a rag doll!
• Everyone pulls him off of Julian and he storms out. Claudio orders everyone else out and fires Julian. MD has the temerity to ask/tell Claudio he can’t do that. Alma, horrified at all of this, drags Claudio and Leo out.
• Leo forces his way back in to tell Julian and MD that he can’t believe they would do this to Max. He storms out and Clara tries to defend MD – she knows there must be a reason she’s doing this because she’s lying and loves Julian like a brother. Leo doesn’t know what her reasoning could be. All he knows is he never saw his brother as in love as he was with MD…and he’s never seen him as hurt as he is now.
• Jenny is completely disillusioned. MD tries to interrupt her but she says that MD’s been in every freaking convo she’s ever had with Julian so right now she’d better shut up and let Jenny talk. She tells Julian she feel completely betrayed. He told her he loved MD disinterestedly and that made Jenny fall for him more. She swears off men forever, says alcohol is the answer, grabs a bottle and storms out. MD chases after her, but can’t keep up on those ridiculous heels she’s always wearing (I mentioned these before. They make no sense, unless they’re just to make up the height difference between her and Max.) She screams out that Julian’s not the father, but Jenny’s too far gone to either hear or listen even if she could still hear her. Doris heared though. She was right behind MD and says “I knew it! Why did you do this?!” Golden question, Doris. A million dollars to anyone who understands. MD helplessly throws her arms around Doris and sobs.
• Everyone goes home.
• Alma wants to see Max, but Claudio forbids it. Leo’s with him and he’s sure Max doesn’t want to see anyone anyway.
• Josefa gleefully spend the night bunking with Isela, who’s pissed. Why did she do it and why that way? In answer, Josefa calls Mal and says she complied with their agreement. We’re not sure if she and Mal conspired to have things play out exactly the way they did, or if Josefa acted on her own to keep up Isela’s part of the bargain with Mal, but either way Mal’s happy, especially because the doctor apparently turned down her proposal.
• Max trashes his room and sobs out his grief and disillusion.
• MD apologizes to Julian and says she panicked. She kept going with the lie because Ursula and her spawn will stop at nothing to get her child. If it’s Dan’s he’ll fight for paternity from prison, if it’s Max’s (which she doesn’t believe) or if Max tries to raise the baby as his, she thinks Dan will try to kill Max. She’s didn’t think past that. She didn’t think about Julian’s job, or Jenny’s possible relapse. She’s very, very sorry. Julian forgives her (>:[) and offers to be a father to her baby. She turns him down.
• MD goes home and FINALLY admits to a furious Clara and an increasingly pissed and worried Espy that Dan raped her and now she’s pregnant with his child. She freaked because the Santibanez want her child and have done so much to them: raping her, almost getting the house, Max’s arrest, Clara’s almost arrest… Espy tells her that she can lose everything – th house, the STUFF- but her daughter’s honor is the more important than all the rest. Dan has to pay for his crimes. MD won’t do it. Dan’s family is too powerful. She won’t risk losing the baby. She did what she did because she needs time. She’s decided to leave town.
• Doris goes home and crawls into bed with Orlando. He wakes up and she’s in tears. She apologizes; she just wanted to be held for a bit after the god-awful night. She tells him what happened.
• The next day, Ivana calls Max who tells her he doesn’t know what Md’s plans are, but if she wants to talk to her, she needs to speak directly with her because everything between them is over.
• Alma goes to Max’s and embraces him in the doorway. Ivana comes over because Max sounded upset on the phone and sees this. She apologizes for interrupting what’s clearly a personal, private matter and says she’ll come back later.
• MD tells Doris her plans to flee. Doris names herself the baby’s godmother and says she won’t leave the baby unprotected either. MD says wherever she goes, she’ll always be looking out for Doris too. (>:-[)
• Isela and Josefa have a scene. Josefa’s ordered from the kitchen like she’s at a hotel and is having a luxurious bubble bath. I can’t remember whatthey talked about or if it was important.
• Isela goes to check on Alma. Since she’s out Claudio, hauls Isela into the room and starts making out with her. Isela protests that the shouldn’t do this on Alma’s bed, but Claudio says he doesn’t care. Isela’s reluctant but remembers her mom saying all she had to keep Claudio was her body, so she goes after him. They start more than making out.
Still. So. Mad.
I honestly am not surehow I'm going to get through the rest of the TN. I was talking to another Caray member offline and saying that this would've vbeen a hard sell either way, but I needed at least a couple more scenes to drive home this fear MD was feeling because I'm still not feeling understanding towards her.
Where will MD go and with what money? I'm glad that Doris knows, she better book it to Max's right now.
What's more, I think the only way to get the truth would be if Claudio gets it from Isela or Josefa (by overhearing, most likely) or if any of the Bustamantes overhear anyone from the Santibanez clan. Which is part of why I hate this part. I absolutely can't stand it when the only people who can actually get the truth out are the villains because then we basically just have to wait for one of them to screw up or one of the heroes to get lucky.
Big fear: that Ivana and Max will now end up together.
Extra big fear: That Ivana and Max will end up together and the show will time jump. And then MD will come back with the kid and "steal" Max all over again and Ivana will go BSC.
Big hope/belief: That the baby's really Max's.
If Max and Ivana get together Ursula and Dan will still kill Max.
I have continued to try to remember, and I came up with the amusing scene of Josefa breakfasting in the bubble bath, which you included. Also that Doris offered to return the engagement ring to Max, but MD said that was something she needed to do herself. Setting up an emotional separation scene, I imagine.
hellashelle, sorry you are struggling with this TN now, you are too clear of a thinker, and I fear you might be onto something with the Ivana/Max rebound scenario.
I hope Max doesn't become some mopey guy, butthurt because the girl he loves doesn't love him back. It got old before when they broke up during the jewelry caper and he was like a puppy begging to be pet and she gave him nothing. That reason was more flimsy than this. Max is convinced MD is his one great love of his life but she is incapable of him being hers. She already had her's and it didn't work out.
Romy
Espy didn't keel over and die with the rape news, she pointedly told MD to denounce Dan right away!
But what made me mad was when she ran after Jenny with her sorrys and excuses.
Honoria took it better than I thought because she should've been first in line to slap Maria Dolores.
Claudio has the power to make sure Julian never works again. Maria Dolores didn't think of that, she's only thinking of herself, per usual.
How in the world she thinks she can hide is beyond me?
Same with Dan. She's only thinking short term, confined to her well being. She doesn't denounce Dan because she's scared of the retaliation but she fails to realize that not denouncing him leaves him free to do whatever he wants to whoever he wants. She didn't even tell Ivana her husband is a rapist! As Tofie pointed out, Dan can still hurt Max whenever he wants. For this reason only does her leaving make sense in term sof her taking away the temptation entirely, dramatically reducing the risk (she knows Dan's one of those "if I can't have her no one (i.e. Max) can" guys so she's saying "Max won't have me either so stop raging all over his life." She would've been better off faking her own death, but onece your thinking about that, you might as well at least try to get your stalker arrested first.
She knows that Max is a good lawyer, but one that plays by the rules. Dan doesn't believe any rules apply to him. He has no conscience and no shame (that she knows of). He is the villain that will let the world burn and she/Max are Superman, who will always exile themselves from Earth before seeing it destroyed.
MD isn't the only woman that fell in love with Dan. He took the virginity of Ivana, played and impregnated her too. I get so wrapped around what's happening to MD I forget Ursula tired to kill Ivana on her wedding day by rolling her in the pool. Though Ivana doesn't know that, she knows they are beast and liars and hangs up on Ursula and not afraid. Why don't those two women have another sit down and compare notes.
Tofie - I agree, Max's emotions got him put in jail, but Dan et al. used his circumstances and intimidation to almost keep him there for way longer than was due. MD knows that if Claudio hadn't gotten involved (which he almost didn't), Dan probably would've gotten away with it. And if Josefa hadn't played Baldomero, she was in serious danger of going down for that arson. She's just lucky they tried to buy Josefa and not some random street kid.
As far as she knows, what Dan (et al) want to get away with, they do get away with unless the other side gets lucky. They haven't "won" against the Santibanez once yet.
As insecure as Ivana is when it comes to her looks, dealing with power is something she's used to. She's always had a good amount of it, she knows how to wield it, and she has no problem with the idea of vengeance. We all know from TN history that the "good" people, pious and often meek, are known for not seeking vengeance, because God will handle it. As long as their souls and consciences are clean, the villain can often just walk away with the good person believing that eventually their guilt and divine retribution will kick in.
She should fake her death and disappear, but she won't.
On the other hand Isela seems to like playing with fire. Claudio even more so. I think they will be caught soon and that will negatively impact MD.
I'm wondering about MD's health right now. With the fall and running after Jacinto and the fear when she was faced with Santibanez' plus the ordeal she went thru at the party, how she hasn't had a miscarriage. How much can a body take?
What would happen?
Ann-NYC
He almost got sent to prison for years over her, only for her to betray him. She may not have slept with Julian but she is betraying Max by lying to him. At this point, Maria Dolores is more trouble than she's worth (which is what Claudio has said all along).
Maria Delores will stupidly tell Isela about her going away plans and Isela will tell Maleny/Ursula who will tell Dan, who will stop Maria Dolores. And this time she won't have Max to help her out.
But, that could be a good thing. Since Maria Delores wants to handle things by herself so badly, let her handle things by herself, without having a a fallback guy (Dan, Julian, Max) to rely on.
In my scenario, my hope is that she doesn't tell Isela her plans, just that she needs to talk to Claudio. When she does, the understanding is that Claudio helps her, but doesn't tell anyone what's going on. Afterwards Claudio would tell Isela that MD was just there to plead for Julian's job.
Seriously, I'm going to have a get this out of my system because it's driving me crazy.
This is a nightmare for everybody. MD saying
Im sorry to julian was lame. Shes managed
To destroy the only career he'll ever have cuz
He's in a freaken wheelchair because he was
Protecting her honor. This girl is toxic. I know
Thats harsh, but look at the body count:
Espy
Clara
Julian
Max
Jenny
Leo
Doris
Her baby
Herself
Thats almost half the cast. Wow!!! Are the
Writers drinkin rhat strange koolade? They
Have really messed her up. It would be nice
If doris ran to max with what she knows but
He is so ripped up he may not even believe
Her. The pain on his face looks so real, he
Looks like somebody died. he's a really good actor. Ok a new week of the disaster that is
MDummys life.
Ya'lll stay warm, it's gotton down right chilly
Here in north Florida.
I understand better now that MD is running scared, but she should realize she's not smart or devious enough to deal with this den of vipers alone. I hate her getting Julian involved.
Max walloping Julian in the wheelchair didn't ring like something Max would do. But if MD's lies have driven him this out of control, I can see him trying to regain his calm by going out with Ivana.
So Claudio and Isela get it in Alma's marriage bed. Maybe he unconsciously wants to get caught. What are the chances that he and Isela will at least have the decency to change the sheets afterward?
MD can do whatever but I hate to waste such a great galan and turn him into mush over a woman that isn't really into him. I wonder if the intent was for MD not to appear into Max much or if there isn't much chemistry between the actors and Adriana Louvier can't fake it. I went back and rewatched the scene when MD was on the beach with Dan and she was glowing, it made me sick, but she was glowing. She never has looked at Max like that.
What makes MD think that Julian is in less danger from the Santibanez than Max is?
So glad to read that Jenny stayed strong. I think I'll fast forward through the episode just to watch Doris snuggle up in bed with Orlando.
Vivi--Watch the snuggle. It's worth all the rest of the drama.
Hear poor unassuming blind alma come in &
Open the bedroom door and see them at the
Height of their yuckiness. Cuz she seems so
Calm and in control. The girl need to let it go and Let it fly. That'll scare the hell out of her dog of a husband because he don't feel like there's much to her anymore anyway.
However, if these are people she thinks are so dangerous she has to leave her entire life behind, I think the first thing she should have done was tell Julian that she was dragging him into it. Even if Isela pulled her into the bathroom first, he should have been her next conversation.
I just have to imagine what we didn't see to make it work in my head. Because if nothing else, she's just letting people that would hold her up at knifepoint, rapists, kidnappers, and blackmailers continue about their business with nary a word to anyone about it.
Maria Dolores is strongly reminding me of the protagonista from LFDD.
Upon review, I understand why MD is not into Max like she should be; the show IS called "I don't trust men". There's no reason for Maria Dolores' heart TO trust Max. She trusted Daniel and look where that got her.
What makes me mad about Maria Dolores is she's basically poured flour and paint and glue all over everyone's lives, then saying "Did I do that?"
Romy
A crap all over people that would have moved Heaven an earth to help her, support her, and Stand by her through that rape crisis and she would not have had to go through that alone. But she decided that it's best that
She take care of it herself. And just wound up making a big mess, and now she's going to leave town and leave them with the mess. If shes so worried about their safty, shouldn't these People be allowed the chance to just defend themselves against these evil nasty parasites? Must she do everything herself? especially since it has turned out so badly?
Boy this sure makes for good tv don't it yall?
Not gonna throw stones at you Romy, reconciling with Dan has crossed my mind.
Vivi, you nailed what's bugging me so much about MD. I'm blaming the writers, not the actress. Everybody else has behaved/made decisions within their personality and values and (looking at you, Claudio) margin for hypocrisy. MD is out there all alone just doing colossally stupid things. If she'd had a hard-knock life and a toxic nut of a mother like Josefa, I could understand it better. But she was nurtured by loving, intelligent parents. Got my fingers crossed that she will think about what she's done and go to Max and tell him the truth.
I didn't see this in the recaps or comments, so I'll add it here-- Andres spent the night in jail because he chased after Jenny, following her home. Jenny was so upset she wouldn't stop screaming, which led the neighbors to believe he was a thief trying to rob her, and they called the police on Andres. Also, we see the two thugs who killed Rudolfo stalking and following Julian.
I just wanted to make some observations now that I'm almost caught up. I finally applaud MD for thinking on her feet and telling a lie to protect her child that actually made sense and Josefa relying her story sealed the deal in the best way.
The ONLY thing I dislike her for this time is lying to Max. In the beginning it was fine, she was in love with Daniel didn't trust him and then didn't trust men because of Daniel. At this point in the tn, however, he has proven time and time again what he would do to protect her and she should trust him to help her and always be by her side. When he took her into the office I though she might confess the truth and just ask him to keep up the charade in front of everyone but her lie is not only destroying Max it's destroying Julian who has been nothing but helpful.
I really don't applaud her decision to keep it from Max, everything else was justifiable given the day she had just had.
that's what I meant when I said MD got him into a situation where he can't even defend himself rather its from Dan and his parasitic family or those thugs that killed Rodolfo. That could end badly. O boy!!! We'll see tonite
Her bad choices. And shes still makin them.
Runnig away wont help. This girl needs to be
Rescued. In a hurry!!! And she pulled the rug
Out from under her rescuer. Ok.
