I saw "Ladrones" this weekend starring Fernando Colunga and Eduardo Yáñez and would recommend it. It turned out to be a fun "caper" movie with lots of laughs.

Me too.

I saw Ladrones last weekend and enjoyed it a lot. It was fun to see Big Ed with Colunga. I don't think they'd ever acted before. If you google both their names, there's some really fun promotional interviews with Yañez and Colunga.

Gah. I meant to say I don't think they'd ever acted together before!

Novelera, I knew what you meant. : ) Thanks for the info on the interviews.

Did anyone see the original Ladrones que Roba a Ladrones? Is this a remake or a sequel? Inquiring minds want to know.

Anita- I believe this is a sequel.

I've seen the first one, and the current one is actually showing at a bunch of places near me, but I don't know if I'm going to get to see it in the theater. If not, it's DVD and home-popped popcorn for me :D It was fun with the first one, seeing all these actors that I'm used to seeing in telenovelas in a different context.

I don't know how much veracity this has, but the telenovela - world forum is buzzing with rumors that Uni is reconsidering airing passion y poder right away due to low ratings in mexico. Guesses as to what they'll replace it with if they decide to do a last-minute swap?

For now, we're going to go forward as if Pasion y Poder is going to start as scheduled.

To that end, the synopsis and call for recappers links are posted above!

What??? No Colunga--Salinas Greatest Boxing Match on Earth? And with Gonzalez sitting on the sidelines, por favor. Let's hope it's only rumors. Wish Jarocha could give us a clue.

Right now it's just a rumor, so if anyone's interested in recapping it, it's better to email me now rather than miss out.

Oh yeah, I don't want to give anyone the impression that this is anything more than a maybe. As of today, Uni has given no indication of a schedule change, and I looked into the ratings myself because I am a huge geek and enjoy following how shows are doing. PyP ratings are less "objectively bad" and more "not what you would expect for such a star-studded production", hanging out in the mid to high teens percentage point wise. So it's entirely possible Uni could just air it and hope for the best.
