Yo No Creo En Los Hombres #74 Fri 10/23/15: La Fuga - Daniel On The Fly

JdesdeNYC is unable to join us today, so I'm filling in.  Hopefully I'll have something up by this evening or early tomorrow AM.  Discuss here for now. --ed.

·        JJosefa convinces Isela that Marta didn’t lie about being innocent, but only after she drags out the last letter Marta sent her before killing herself.  “—Do you think a person ready to kill themselves would lie in a letter?”  I guess Ise figures probably not.  After a bit more emotional browbeating, she swears to continue the venganza for Hosie.

·        Chelito runs into Orlando and Ari arguing over Doris.  She bassakwardly introduces herself and gives the both of them a piece of her mind, which orly finds a bit amusing.  To quote Chelito: “Harrumphhh!”  Ari catches up to her and says he did fall in love with Doris, and he did try to do things the right way.  She questions what he considers “doing things the right way.”  Marriage, kids, living together for the rest of their lives?  “—Well yeah, but she’s in love with somebody else.   “The mechanic?”  “--No, somebody else, he’s my best friend and besides he told me he’s not it.”  “—Oh, I understand now.  It doesn’t bother you that she’s been living with him, though, right?  Chelito gives a major and much deserved eye roll here. “-- Stop bothering me, boy!!”

·        At the bear cave de lujo, Daniel is griping to la Mama Bear de Urrrrrsula that no way is he giving his kid over to or sharing a bed again with that cow, Ivana.  Grrrsula says no need for that much sacrifice since she’s got no mind to share hers with him either.  They’ll get divorced, then force her to remarry for the kid, but this time they get married under “bienes mancomunados –joint ownership of everything.”

·        Meanwhile, Gerry’s been summoned to Ivaca’s; she tells him that while she was at the hospital consoling Alma over Max’s getting knifed, and sniping with Mal over who’s most privileged in getting visiting rights, Maria Dolores shows up and admits that she is preggers and this time for really realz!!  “—Not again!”  Ivaca says that’s what she thought when Mal made her the proposal about getting that child and this time said it would cost her half her fortune!  “—What???? Are you all that crazy or what?”  No, Ivaca just supposedly wants to have her divorce finalized and checked with her lawyers about the best way (we suppose) to get it and soon.

·        Claudio and Alma look on while Max swears to Honoria and Julian that he’ll make sure those two thugs that murdered Rodolpho never see the light of day again.  Clod offers to assist and mentions that MD explained what was really going on the day before when she named Julian as the baby daddy.  He offers the office in his building back to Juli and Adrian but Juli says he’d rather be out on his own and working somewhere closer to home.  Once all the “adults” leave, Max and he have a heart-to-heart about why he proposed to MD but never showed up.  Max says he’d always figured the two of them were lying to him.  Max and Juli admit they both are more than friends and more like brothers now.

·        In some rank part of the barrio or the train tracks ‘n shacks, the two hoods are hiding and then split up.  One still wants to off somebody but we don’t hear who.
   ~~end parte1~~
=====================================
~~parte 2~~
On their way out of the hospital, Alma and Clod run into Orly.  He tells Clod since he could not tell Alma the truth about her holier-than-thou hubby, he'd decided to tell Max instead.  Clod prevents him.  Orly says yeah, right.  If you don't want me giving away your two-timing your wife in your own house, then remove that injunction or suffer the consequences.  Clod swallows his pride and agrees.  Orly leaves and adds on his way out that he can have Isela.  He doesn't give a rat's patoot about her now, anyway.
·        Ise calls Mal and tells her that she was the one who gave MD the news about Max’s being stabbed in the street while helping Julian.  Ise says she’s got Adrian helping her with deciphering the file on the truth about her father.  He can be trusted to keep mum.--Mal says thanks but no thanks, she doesn't need Ise's prying eyes any longer.

·        Meanwhile, Jenny overhears MD trying to give back the engagement ring and Juli refusing it saying he’ll never give it to another woman, not it nor any other ring.  Jenny sneaks outside to blubber of it and meets MD on her way out the door and home.  It ain’t pleasant but MD just finally shrugs and heads home.  She’s tired of feeling responsible for every loser in love….leastwise I’d be in her place!

·        Chelito and Doris have a chat adult woman to adult woman.  They both agree she’s old enough to do what she wants with her life and in her own home.

·        MD worries about Corina being forced into jail because of Daniels’ false accusations.  She goes the next morning to the jail to offer a bag of food and necessities and cash and a current phone number.  She unfortunately does not realize, never being jailed herself, that she cannot wear the color of uniform the guards wear (black), as the ladies in line tell her.  Oh, well, she won’t have enough time to go home and change before visiting hours are over.  But  instead of simply taking off her black sweater and continuing inside,  she trusts some convict’s friend with her business card, the bag of goodies and gawd knows how much cash, and a message for “Corina” (out of how many Corina’s and how many prisoners).    Sure, sure, says the woman and as soon as MD leaves and goes around the corner, she crumples up the business card and pockets the cash for hersef.  (I gotta say this time MD really deserves getting screwed—but not poor Corina. Unfortunately, that makes twice now that she’s been screwed up if not over by stooooopid Maria Dolores.   Ugh, this character makes it hard to cheer for the good guys!)

·        The next morning the cops come a knock-knock-knockin’ on Grrrrsula’s front door.  They’ve got a warrant for DannyBoy’s arrest.  While she tries stalling and lying and otherwise obstructing justice, Mal rushes down to say her brother’s really there and to give her a minute.  Mama races up after her.  Mal tells Mama off saying no way are they both going to jail for the likes of him and the crap he’s pulled.  They go into DB’s bedroom to give him the news the cops are there to arrest him because MD finally got it in her head to carry out her threats to turn him in and she has.

·        DB races around the room and through the balcony window like my 4 year old son used to do, i.e., faster than a greased pig at the county fair.  He ends up escaping by jumping off the balcony and jumping into one of the cars in the drive.  A major car chase ensues all the way to the entrance to MD’s apartment house entrance.

·        There’s a bang on the glass door but nobody bothers to lock their doors in Mexico anyway so why bother?  In rushes Daniel to accuse MarDi of setting the police on him, the father of their child!  How dare she!!  Just then the police rush in and pull their pistolas out.  He grabs MD around the neck and grabs the scissors she’s left on the table next to where they’re standing.  He threatens to kill her if they come any closer…..

What I remember (not in order)

The Po Po showed up at the Santibanez's ...Ursula lied & said Dannyboy wasn't home but Maleny/Isidro told them he was there. Ursula was not amused.

Danny acted like he was Spider-Man and climbed out of the window to escape. Led the police on a chase straight to MaryPain's house. Banged on their door, Esperanza didn't peep to see who it was, he burst in, roughed up MD and held her hostage with scissors.

--------

Claudio asked Julian to come back; Julian thanked him but declined.

Julian's thugs are running from the police but one of them wants to get Julian before they leave.

MaryPain went to prison to help Corina & left a message with some shady looking lady.

Gerry looked at Ivana crazy when she told him about handing over her money to snatch Maria's baby.

Orlando told Claudio to drop the charges against him or he'd tell MAX about the affair. Claudio agreed & Orlando informed him he wasn't interested in Isela anymore.

To elaborate on Danny-Boy's escape he first pretended to leap off the balcony before climbing down and jumping the last 10 or 12 feet to the grass. Loved the car chase that followed that with Arango trying to get him to stop.

MD tried to see Corina in the prison but wasn't allowed in wearing a black sweater because the guards wear black (She could have offered to take it off). The woman she handed the tote bag and cash to threw away her contact info so Corina won't be able to contact her. MD went home feeling bad about this.

Ivana seems to fall farther into the crazy. Damned shame that.

Anon207 and UA, thanks for the bullets.

MD tried to see Corina in the prison but wasn't allowed in wearing a black sweater because the guards wear black (She could have offered to take it off)

UA, I was hoping I got this part wrong, but nope.

MD hands over cash and a note to a perfect stranger and leaves, really? That drove me crazy. When Esperanza, meaning well, told MD not to worry about it and think good thoughts for the baby's sake, I wanted to scream. Corina is being confined and tortured all from helping MD. I don't want Dan threatening MD with scissors, but honestly I'm more upset about Corina.

And wise woman Chela actually had no problem with Doris and Orlando having a thing together. Doris is a grown woman and entitled to live life the way it makes her happy. Sadly, Doris isn't quite there, yet with Orlando.

UA-I didn't think it was the black sweater as much as it was the tan skirt. But it was the combination and MaryPain (love it, A-207) didn't think she'd have enough time to go home and change before visiting hours were over. When she arrived and saw the long line, she walked towards the front and excused herself saying she was just going to the head of the line to ask a question. I would have thought she was trying to crash the line, too. She's back in her "act, don't think" mode. Why would she trust the first woman she talks to, anyway. Go home and come back the next day.

Apologies, Anon207, yes, your bullet points were on point. Thank you. Sure helps with recall.

Other bullet points--

Julian finally gets to see Max in the hospital. They decide they can be friends again, good friends. I almost saw a hug coming, but they shook hands, manfully, thankfully.

Max is released from the hospital and chooses to go see MaryPain first, over Alma's objections (and maybe on Monday, just in time to find a hostage situation).

Thanks ya'll. Anon207, UA, Niecie and Anita

I kinda see where MD got her dumb. Only day before yesterday I sang Espy's praises for standing up to Claudio, but backbone ain't connected to smarts at all. How hard is it to peek to see who's beating on your door.

Last night was the first time MD really thought about all the people that have been hurt by her association with Daniel. It took a stranger she met in a public toilet to be brutally attacked and unjustly jailed. I worry about Corina. MD didn't want to burden Max on the first day out of hospital, knowing he would immediately help a woman he didn't know, but MD is incapable of helping or protecting anyone, including herself. The others in line were laughing as she walked away knowing that money would never get to Corina.

That's a great example of someone who isn't thinking. After the police accused her of killing her own father in the opening episode how could she expect anything from prison staff or visitors?

Anita is right. It wasn't the sweater. It was the tan dress that looks too much like what the prisoners wear. Plus, the lady informed her that she wouldn't be allowed in anyway as a non-family member. She needs to get special permission first. Makes sense. Unlike the jail, not just anyone can go see people in prison. So MD didn't just give up for no reason, other than a sweater.

Jardinera- Looking forward to the recap. Everyone- Thanks for all the discussion bullet points.

MD did tell Epsy that she was worried about the hell Corina was living in prison. And that's also why she couldn't sleep. Espy might have sounded callous when she told MD to think good thoughts, but MD is her child and is carrying her grandchild. She wants them both to be well, and stressing like that, over a situation she can't change that very second, isn't going to do her or the baby any good.

Nope, nothing callous about Esperanza, just looking after her stressed pregnant daughter. But time is ticking way for Corina in that cell, so I sure hope MD gets out from under Dan's scissors to get something done pronto for Corina.

Jardinera, looking forward to your recap. And thanks to all who contributed bullet points and comments. I was so very tired last nite and FELL ASLEEP BETWEEEN 10 AND 11!! I FEEL LIKE SCREAMING!!

Ann-NYC

I really don't have a problem with what Espy counsels most times and last night she didn't want MD to worry her pretty little head because it was Daniel that hurt these people not MD. It is when MD counters with stupid and Espy reverses her position that was right all along or when she opens the damn door without looking who's on the other side. Been a bunch of that lately.

I'm sure it's occurred to Jacinto and Dan by now, Max could help Corina and file a complaint against them. How long before they have someone finish her off and wonder if this is the same prison Marta was in and if so does Claudio know the warden.

Jardinera--Take your time, this is fun. BTW, the title caught my eye but at first glance I read it as Daniel IS a Fly. Where is my flyswatter anyway.

I could use a little more clarification on the Ivana turning over half her fortune for a baby full of Dan-Dan's DNA.

The baby she picked up and held at the orphanage was so perfectly framed. She seemed to bond with it instantly. She should remind herself of that moment. I just can't see her wanting Dan-Dan's child just for wanting something that should have been hers or perhaps vengeance against him and MaryPain--and give up half her fortune to do it. Besides, what guarantee does she have she'll get the baby, except under duress. Ursula and Maleny haven't been able to do too much right yet. Then is she gets the infant, where is she going to hide it from MD? Questions, questions.

This episode on Hulu was called planning a wedding, so I was expecting some of that, but there was nothing to do with that, lol.

I was glad that Orlando told Claudio that if he called off the police he wouldn't tell Alma about him and Isela. And he told him that he's over Isela, so yay for Doris, I hope.

About Espy not checking who is at the door. Those barrio doors are so flimsy that anyone wanting in would have no trouble pushing the door in or breaking a glass to get in. Espy (not thinking) probably assumed it was an acquaintance--yeah, and the one who shows up is more like a two-legged rat missing a tail.

I'm weary of the Morales women's tendency to open the door without so much as a "quien es?" That's Safety 101. Even if the doors are flimsy, make the bad guys knock them down; don't invite them in. The police would have nabbed Daniel if Espy had slowed him down just s little.

Yep Terri R. Make em work for it. Not like there hasn't been crime and crazies in the neighborhood that would give you pause.

Hello all!

I for one am glad Esperanza let Daniel in because this guarantees the police wi believe MD regarding Daniels actions against her. They saw the crazy with their own eyes.

The thing that gets me about MD is how interesting and strong she is one moment like when whe told Maleny to take a hike and pushed her out the elevator and how clueless she is the next like trusting a strong with money.

Im counting the hours till Claudios outing because Id love to see how he geta treated after how pious es acted.

One thing that really bothered ia Honorias inital unwillingness to go visit Max because Julian might get hurt. She seemed so unappreciative of what he did for her son.

I may be late to the game but so glad this pregancy misunderstanding is over before it even took flight. YNCELH continues to prove its worth.

Agree everyone sees crazy Dan but I have a sinking feeling MD will pull back into her shell. The unlawful flight to avoid arrest and battery of MD alone should be enough to jail him.

Yikes! Superalfie--where have you been? Please come in the flimsy door and join us on the sidelines. Add your voice to the chorus of enchanted, disenchanted cheering section. (Do we even have a Patio for YoNO?)

I was gonna recap but I guess Jardinera got confused. Anywho, people not having a peephole or asking who's at the door is another tn cliche that annoys me. People from NYC always look through peepholes or ask. If folks come to my door who I know and not let me know they are coming in advance, there's a 90% chance they won't get let in.

She didn't need a peephole, she has a see-through curtain covering the window on the door. All she had to do was look ahead before opening the door.

I live in a small NC city. I still don't answer the door without determine who is there. If I don't know you, I am unlikely to open the door. If I know that you are a Santibanez, I would run out the back door!

Anita you know you're right. Max going to MDd's after his hospital release to find her this time with a knife to her throat. Oh, yeah, they
know Daniel is dangerous and Espy just opens door without care in the world. Result: MD has knife to her throat.Yes, now we know why MD is like that.
Well, Why dont they just put Superman suit on Max??? He goes around rescuing MD for all her stupid acts. How did they ever survive this long in DF before Max???? MD gives money and note to stranger to give to Corina and believes Corina will actually get. She truly is female Forrest Gump. I don't say this hatefully just a bit astounded at their naivity. Honestly remember Espy walking around by herself in secret when she borrowed against the house. Instead of asking her daughters, Leo or anyone to accompany her since she was gonna have large sum of cash because she didnt want to
Worry them that she borrowed money in secret. Ok, not gonna think bad things, I am just going to think "pretty things." La la la la

La la la la,

Forgot to sign off. See I Am not that bright either.

Ava

I think the writers let people in tns do dumb stuff like this in order to move the plot along. Every tn seems to have numerous moments where the protagonists seem to be too stupid to live. I have yet to watch a tn, including the classic great ones, like Cuna de Lobos, where the good people do something that a normal person with a lick of common sense would not do.

J desde NYC--Your 9:31 comment should be copied over to UA's Weekend discussion on clichés, this is so true a statement (well, more than a cliché anyway).

Hi guys, thanks for the bullet points
MD should go back the next day to check on
Her new friend, after all this young woman stuck her neck out for a total stranger and look what she got for it, almost raped by a raving lunatic and now she's in jail because that same lunatic with his sidekick lied to the police about her. I'm really tired of seeing people getting hurt because of this woman I know she ask this woman to do this for her at least I think she did,but she need to go and try to help this girl. If Max can't help then she need to ask max to recommend somebody who can help her because this woman is in jail cuz she stuck her neck out for Maria Dolores and for her trouble she got lied on by liars and now she's in the pokey and getting physically abused by a mean jealous looking prison Maiden.
I can understand Esperanza being concerned about her daughter, not wanting her to have stress being pregnant and all but this is another life in jeopardy just like their lives were in jeopardy when MariaDeloris made all those bad decisions. She need to help this
Girl.
And Ivana has started the crazy dance again. Why does she want dannys baby? Is she so hard up for baby that she'd put herself through this unnecessary stress? not saying the baby would do the stressing out but look at the relatives connected to that baby, look I mean really, who needs that kind of Insane craziness in their life? apparently Ivana does.
This wont end well for her. Gerry is about the
Only friend she has and he's about sick of her. Even auntee tried to talk to her. and what is crazy Danny's reasons for coming to see Maria Dolores and holding her hostage with a pair of sewing shears? we'll see where that insanity goes Monday night

Thanks to everyone who provided the bullet points. My viewing has been scattered, so I'm especially grateful for them today.

I gave MD some points. She's worried about Corina and she's trying to help her. Unfortunately for her, she handed over the stuff to a Josefa not a Jenny. Whatever's in the bag is probably going to her son(?) rather than Corina too.

I was surprised at Espy too, especially considering that Dan was pounding on the door the way he was. But knowing Espy/MD their first thought was "oh no! a friend's in trouble!" (TN cliche #72: "Good" guys give the benefit of the doubt, even with tons of evidence to the contrary)

I'm with SuperAlfie - I'm glad Dan is holding her up at scissor point with the police on the scene and Claudio and Alma on the way. She comes off horribly to the authorities and to Max's parents. I'm really glad that now people will start seeing Dan for the evil nutjob that he is and she start to rebuild her reputation. She might be naive and cowardly, but I don't think it's fair that Alma and the police continue to think she's as big of a liar as the antags have made her out to be.

Speaking of Alma, I'm starting to wonder how long it will take her to get annoyed with Claudio for reasons that have nothing to do with Isela. When Orlando was at the hospital, Claudio told her to go wait with Max. Glancing at Orly, she timidly answered "maybe it's better that I stay here". Claudio squeezed/gripped her arm and ordered her to leave! It was so not cool. To hide his affair, he's been increasingly more dismissive and short-tempered with her and she's so used to deferring to her strong, smart lawyer/judge man that she just accepts it. I felt bad for him when Josefa first started this plot to ruin his life, but to me, his lust-driven lying is very different from his condescending atitude and actions towards his wife and it's what's planting him on the other side of the line he crossed long ago.

PS: When MD blew up everyone's life, I complained that the horror of it all would go over better if we had a few more scenes to drive home the extent of her fear. This is the type of scene I had in mind, at least in tone.

Showing fear in the moment one way but MD rarely altered her everyday behavior that would acknowledge being aware she was at risk.

I'm a runner, one morning years ago I hear the click of nails on asphalt, gruuur, one shout, "no outlaw no", before a rottweiler bit me. While no guarantee a dog may bite me again, when I ran again, I didn't on that block, waited for dawn instead of dark and carried a stick.

It's up y'all. Sorry, Jdesde. I thought you'd asked for another weekend total. NP. You get next Friday, etc.!!

Great discussion, guys!

So worth it Jardinera thank you.

"he can have Isela. He doesn't give a rat's patoot about her now, anyway"

I forgot Iseala told Maleny she was the one that told MD Max had been stabbed and why MD returned, all of which was a lie.

Great point about how many Corina's likely in that prison even if one was to be found.

Definitely worth the wait, Jardinera. Love the comparison to a greased pig at a county fair. Danny-Boy may be a bear cub, but he's a pig in every colloquial meaning of that word.

MD clearly has never visited anyone in the slammer, so she has no clue that what she did was a serious mistake. Hopefully Max can get there or send someone to Corina who can probably be identified by explaining who filed the charges.

Actually she visited Julian when he was in jail; when they told her about the colors issue, she said "oh that's right! I forgot about the colors thing."

I think it didn't occur to her that the lady would pocket the cash because she thinks that lady is just like her and she would do exactly as promised. She was raised to give people the benefit of the doubt, so until they prove her wrong (repeatedly), she'll always assume the best in them.

I just hope Corina doesn't turn on her out of anger over her naive mistakes.

Ditto, worth the wait. You always spin a good yarn.

"Clod swallows his pride and agrees." Here's what I think of Clod (great moniker, BTW): It's not his pride so much as caught on the horns of his own dilemma and takes the safe way out--for him. He still believes Isela is at risk from this terrible, violent abuser, but is willing to throw her under the bus to protect his guilt. Orly could say anything, but it needs Clod to believe it--so for Orly to say he's done with Isela, probably doesn't even register with the Clod. It's a wait and see, I guess.

Julian was in the local precinct lockup and not a prison. I suspect that's a different situation.

I thought the reason for MD returning was
Nana telling her to face her demons. That lying Liar isela said she told her. There has to be Anvils especially for liars, especially for the Ones that smile in your face and act sugary Sweet to you, like isela. I know she's trying to relieve her mother's heartache over her daughter's death but somewhere down the line this heffa started liking what she was doing and liking the benefits of it. Somewhere down the line MD need to start using her two or three brain cells and start to think about some things that happened right after she talked to Isela. But this a tn, stuff
Happens and not happen for affect. And it
Works, drives me to ranting fits at times. And They're good for lettin off steam.

UA - Oh, sorry about that; I thought where Max was was the local lock up and where Julian/Corina were/are was the "big" prison. Seriously, how the heck did she get sent up the river so quickly? How hard is Jacinto pushing this and with whose help? (Dan seemed like he didn't care too much about what happened to her after she escaped, though I guess he may have gotten on board to arrest her after thinking about her seeing his face.)

Jardinera - great recap! I second Anita's praise of Clod. That should totally be his new nickname for life. I especially love your terminology about Josefa's actions - emotional browbeating' is the perfect description for how she gets to Isela.

Thanks so much, Jardinera! Can't wait till Monday to see how this all turns out.

Loved Chelito's harumphs and eye rolling at the foolishness of Doris' pretendientes.

Thank you Jardinera. I forgot about MD giving back the wedding ring. Jenny needs to move on and maybe see if Adrian is interested.

I wonder if MD will make a deal with Dan and not press charges if he stops his case against Corina.

I hope she doesn't have to. MD'sgot documentation against Jacinto and brought charges against Dan for rape, which should correspond with Corina's story. With him holding MD up in front of the cops, I would hope they'd have enough to give credence to Corina's story.

I'm intrigued by Doris's story too. She said her parents would be disappointed that she hadn't become a huge business star or gotten married, so it looks like Vivi's theory's panning out (I so hope so because I can't wait for Ari to find out!) I love that the first thing she said her parents would be diappointed about is her not having a thriving career. If that was their expectation for her, and she shares it, I wonder what happened.

If they can ever get Ivana into sane mode again Doris won't have to worry about being a success. She, Ivana, and MD can start a new fashion line for BBWs. Doris and Ivana can model the clothes and can recruit other such women. They could make a fortune.

And MD better not back down again.

The nut Daniel is still using the I'm the daddy plea on MD. Will that finally work cause I cannot think of any reason he doesn't go straight to jail unless she withdraws the complaint or he gets out of the house with MD as a hostage and keeps her per his original plan.

I'm still hoping for a miracle here that Max is the baby's father. There's too much mental illness in the Santibanez DNA.

This comment has been removed by the author.

UA, I am firmly in the camp that believes Max is the dad.

Dan's a madman. I don't think there's any way that MD willingly allows her child to be raised by people who have cheated, lied, framed and defamed her, not to mention raped, stalked, and kidnapped her. (Well, maybe if they were holding Espy or Clara at scissor point.)

I hope that during the testimony about the rape, she gets it noted that she believes the motivation was getting her pregnant to kidnap her baby.

Danny-Boy is certifiable and so is his sister. I'm not so sure about Ursula, though. She is a better manipulator than either of her children.

About 5 years ago some program on MSNBC aired an interview of Charles Manson from the 90s and Candice DeLong commented that "He's crazy... like a fox. He will look crazy if he thinks he can convince you he is." She said to watch his body language and eye contact and you'd see he is a master manipulator and should never be freed. Ursula is probably in that class.

Hellashelle-I too loved the tibit from the conversation between Doris and Nana, about her parents being disappointed if they knew she wasn't a thriving business woman, and also not married. I wonder if she had been expected to take over the family business but wanted to do something on her own/in fashion, which they disapproved of.

Thanks, Jardinera. Great recap. As always, you make sense out of all the crazy.

Cathyx,
How well you know MD and now that you mention it, of course I can see MDummy on her own going to Santbanez home or calling Daniel and negotiating that he stops his case against Corina and she will drop her rape charge. Here we go again....everything will backfire on her and it will be Max to rescue her again from doing something behind his back to help Corina. I am getting all worked up already.

Maybe it wont go down like that, but very good prediction.

MD is very exasperating to me. She is good woman and her intentions are never evil or selfish. But someone needs to drill in her head that other people are not like her. Her naivety (we calll stupidity) has caused her devastating heartbreaking lifestyle and if she dont wise up how in the world will she protect her bebe? Pounding her heart swearing up and down that she will not allow anyone to cause her bebe any harm is false determination, if she dont get a clue and wise up quick. Max might not always be there to rescue her, because he most likely will lose his life trying to protect her.

Ava

Forgive me for not thanking you. I was thanking you as I was reading and immensingly enjoying it. Forgot my manners. Appreciate your work and wit!!!
Ava

Good point Ava. It's naivete the first couple times but stupid then on. MD crossed over into the realm of stupid, Chelito pulled her back from the ledge, to go back is just......stupid.

I love Max and the only time it feels MD is safe is when he is standing next to her but it doesn't have to be that way. Let's see more of the MD that put Maleny on her butt.

What I am still trying to figure out is where Hosefa's hatred of MD comes from. It's gone so far that I think she believes her own lies.

Honoria once said that she hates MD because she has luck with guys while Josefa got abandoned. I suppose that started with Espy and Rudulfo being a loving couple with two beloved children and continued as her fellow left, Marta died and Isela her not-bio-daughter became BFF with MD.Plus Josefa's never been satisfied with her life (for the above reasons) while Espy's very much a "take what God gives you" type of person. I think everything that has made Josefa bitter keeps people from caring about her so she resents everyone that hasn't reacted like that.

I hope someone can explain to me: What exactly is Josefa's revenge plan? "I have spent 18 years raising this gorgeous girl, now you may have an affair with her, bwahahaha"? I don't get it.

I do have a theory about what Josefa's up to, but won't say it in case I'm right and it's a spoiler. But what is she telling Isela the plan is? If they want to ruin his marriage and/or expose his hypocrisy to the world, what are they waiting for?
