Ok. Very quick overview on my tablet, so forgive typos.

- Maleny has two orders for Isela, or else she tell Alma about the affair. 1) Isela has to sneak into Claudio's files and steal as much in for about Maleny's dad's death as she can find. 2) She has to restart he friendship with MD and pass along any and all health information, pregnancy tests, etc.
- Max did not hear what Ari and Doris were speaking about (i.e. the Isela-Claudio affair).
- MD got Julian out of the house, so that Max and all the guy friends in the hood could lay down ramps for Julian to get into the building and his house on his own. They all get to work. In the park, MD and Julian have a good talk. They both know why he did what he did, and he'd do it again. MR cries and says she will be pressing charges against Dan (do it already). Julian seems at peace with his situation now. He only asks one favor of MD. He had thought with Fermin back, he wouldn't have to worry about leaving his mom alone (when he inevitable dies young). But now (with his relapse) he realizes he can't count on Fermin. He asks MD to take care of his mother. She promises to do so.
 

- Dan's shady lawyer friend visits him to give him an update on the fire case. Dan is depressed and in a funk in bed, since MD told him off. His friend tries to cheer him with the news that MD won't be able to prove her innocence in the fire, she has another day to present herself to the police, and soon will be behind bars. Later, mommy Ursula cuddles with him in bed, and tries to cheer him up by saying he can have conjugal visits with MD in jail. Blech! Then Mal visits his majesty and gloats to him and mama that she accomplished what they couldn't. She's got Isela snooping into MD's health business, and they'll know everything about her pregnancy, if there is one.
- Susana gets Ivana to visit the orphanage, and invites Gerry along as a surprise. Ivana gets super maternal with a baby there. Gerry thinks Susana just brought her there to torture her, but Ivana denies it. She chose to go along with her. Gerry is fully supportive of Ivana adopting and thinks a kid would be lucky to have her as a mom. Ivana laments how she always wanted the man/husband to go along with that.
- MD and Julian come back, and he is so happy about the new ramps, it makes my heart hurt. He's ready to resume his life as an independent man. Isela and Josefa have shown up, and Josefa even makes a nice comment. Everyone is disbelieving and in shock. Jo explains to Isela that she did it to help with Isela's plan of getting back on good terms with MD in order to get info for Mal.
- Everyone else has a party in the courtyard. Many lovely things are said about how Julian has helped each of them at different points. Julian is moved to tears.
- Doris convinces Ari to use his car as collateral to help Orly out of his financial jam caused by his car accident. Ari also gets threatened by Isela to keep his mouth shut about her affair, or else she'll sic Claudio on him. Ari gets worried. Doris tells him to man up and stick to his convictions.
 

- Honaria tells Jenny that she is now supportive of her feelings for Julian. She can't believe Jenny still loves him and wants to be with him in his paralyzed condition.
- Isela continues her campaign to get back into MD's life. She takes MD aside in the house and spins a bunch of lies and half truths. Her story today is that Orly raped her. MD shoots that down and says Orly admitted to her that he attempted, but did do it. (I would have also pointed out that this didn't stop Isela from trying to run away with him later.) Isela then says that the attempt brought back the horror of the actual rape that happened to her before, and MD doesn't know how that feels. She can tell she hit a nerve and keeps pressing. MD first points out that Isela knows Jacinto tried to rape her. Then she admits that Dan raped her-- just as Clara walks in and hears. Clara immediately starts crying and presses MD for more info. MD denies and tries to backtrack, saying that Doris came in and stopped Dan's attempted rape. Clara doesn't believe her, but they all clam up and stop the conversation when Espy arrives and urges them to return to the party.
- MD also tries to backtrack with Isela, but Isela now knows why Mal wants to know about MD's health. She asks MD if she took the morning after pill. In horror, MD realizes that with all that has happened it totally slipped her mind, and now it's too late. Isela continues to play on MD's trauma to try to convince MD that she truly was raped, and only has a platonic relationship with her impossible love, Claudio. They hug, as MD cries, and Isela connives.
- Isela's next victim in Orlando. She also wants to make sure he keeps his mouth shut about her and Claudio, is what she tells Josefa. Doris and Ari try to block her and convince Orly to ignore her. But Isela begs and pleads with her bambi eyes, and Orly gives in. They go into his apartment, while Doris and Ari stay outside.
- Orly tries to stand firm, and tells Isela to go back to her lover. She tries to convince him it's not what he thinks, and that she's being forced to do it. Only gets ticked that she's trying to manipulate him. She then uses an expert trick of manipulation and lying by throwing in a huge truth-- she is with Claudio for REVENGE, a revenge plotted by her mother!
- Meanwhile, Josefa has called the police about Orly breaking the restraining order and holding Isela in his home. The police arrive. Doris runs to get lawyer Max, and Ari tries to rush ahead of the police to warn Orly.

The end.

How delusional is Ursula anyway? But then again, considering the corruption in the judicial and prison systems in Mexico I am ready to believe that almost any male guard can be bribed to allow Danny-Boy to enter MD's cell to rape her any time he wants to.

He will definitely have to die at the end of this tale because that is the only way she will be free of him.

Doris is our main girl! She is proving to be a good friend and a voice of reason. Orlando should be her reward, along with a gorgeous bridal gown, a fashion spread, and lots of money from a successful queen-size line.

Ivana doesn't have to lament the lack of a husband. All she has to do is file for divorce, drag Danny-Boy through the mud, and wait for Gerry to propose.

Susanna surprised me. I was sure she would tell Ivana "I'll take care of it", steal the ring, sell it, and pocket the cash. But what she did could be just as much of a fake-out as Hosefa's making nice in the nabe.

Well, Isela got her episode and starting with her threat to Ari rolled on. Steam was coming out of my ears as she appealed to Orlando and he fell for it, saying she hated Claudio and she was in this for revenge. Yes, Josefa's revenge started this but Isela is in to win. It also really angered me when she threatened Leo, telling him not to go there with his inquiry. What is she going to do, have Claudio take down his own son, Ari, Orlando and Doris?

How sick was it as Alma and Claudio talked on the couch and he was worried about Isela seeing Orlando, jealous prick.

Painful to watch Max continue to profess his love in word and deed

 

Isela may have sabotaged herself by telling Orlando about the revenge. That was almost the only truth told by her in this episode. If Orlando is smart enough to tell someone else about that there is the opportunity to investigate what this is about.

I hope she gets caught trying to pry into the past stuff. Maleny has a track record of screwing things up so this unholy alliance should be doomed. However, we should eventually hear what Hosefa's agenda was really about and I suspect that she is either grossly mistaken about what really happened or delusional in the same way as Ursula. We never met Hosefa's real daughter, but I am wondering whether she was just like her mother and ended up dying in prison after having been justly convicted of some crime.
 

Yeah, I wonder what Isela thinks Orly is going to say. Oh, well now that I know you're sleeping with that old man, wrecking a marriage and family, and breaking my heart for revenge, you have my blessing. Nope. He's going to want her to cease and desist immediately.
 

Tofie- Isela really ticked me off this episode too. But it was her scene with MD that really made me sick. How could she see her lifelong friend be so fragile and broken, and still use the situation to her advantage to use and manipulate MD?
 

Claudio is drugging his own wife to have sex with Isela under Alma's nose. Of course he would take down Leo to cover his own behind.

Orlando suffers as much as Maria Delores. Both of them are going to have to stop dealing with evil people (Isela, Daniel). And yes, Isela is just as evil as Daniel. Both of them are slimy snakes who hurt people they know to be innocent to achieve their goals and gains. The only two people who recognize Isela for the evil girl she is are Doris & Ari. Not even Josefa realizes the evil she bred...and I think Isela's evil is going to bite Josefa in the butt.
 

I completely agree, Anon207. Isela will probably turn on her big time once she finds out the truth about her. We also need the payoff of knowing who Isela's real mother is -- or was.

What I'm not getting, though, is that Hosefa stole Isela when her natural daughter was still alive. Isela would have had to have been a baby at the time or she would remember having been with her birth mother or in an orphanage. Hosefa allegedly stole her to raise her to enact this perverted revenge, but was she planning this revenge before the daughter's death? The only way that makes any sense is if the daughter was in prison for several years prior to her death.

Could Claudio have sent her to prison for something he did? Was she an accomplice to a crime he committed?

This entire story is getting more perverse with every episode.
 

I thought the story we heard was that Josefa's man/husband dumped baby Isela (whom he fathered with another woman) on Josefa. Then he later abandoned the family. We don't know if the woman gave him their child willingly, or if he stole Isela from her mother. This means Josefa's daughter was Isela's sister for real (half sister). Isela was a little girl when her sister died. We've seen little Isela crying over her sister's body in the casket in flashbacks.
 

Honoria knows Josefa's story or at least that Isela is not her bio daughter. Wish in one of their fights Honoria tells us.

Yep, Isela using MD's rape while juxtaposing it with her willing frolic with Claudio, sick. It worked and Isela is in again with MD. I thought it would not work but underestimated the writers and actors in pulling it off. I didn't even think MD stupid for falling for it, Isela did such a masterful job.

Whatever the connection between Josefa and Claudio he doesn't recognize her so either she has changed, a lot, or they never met.
 

I don't think I recapped that flashback, so I hope whoever did clarifies this. I do recall Isela being a young child in that funereal scene.

So Hosefa's hatred for Isela is her revenge on her man's cheating. That is certainly consistent with the rest of this story. In which case it wouldn't matter if he stole the baby or Hosefa did. There will have to be a revelation about this eventually, whether that SOB and his other woman are dead or alive.

It shouldn't be too long before we find out whether MD is pregnant. We have to hope she isn't whether or not Danny-Boy succeeds in getting her locked up. While the rule about heroines only getting pregnant by the right men was broken long ago it should not happen now. If she's locked up for any more than two or three weeks Danny-Boy can insure she gets knocked up by bribing his way in to rape her at the optimum time. Knowing how Mama Bear has masterminded this so far she would know exactly when that could happen.
 

We can't discount Clara, she is devastated this happened to MD and even at the party for Julian her face showed anguish. Does she tell Leo or encourage a charge of rape and does she sit passive as Isela moves right in as bff of MD, knowing how good a bullshit detector she has?

Heartbreak moment was MD as she realized a pregnancy possible. The look on her face before she uttered the words.
 

I don't think Clara will let this go. She has the smarts to see that Danny-Boy's evil is escalating from stealing the dress to the fake wedding to marrying Ivana for her money to the fire to the rape.

The issue now is proving his involvement in the fire and -- unfortunately -- proving that MD didn't send those photos to him. This has to happen before Max sees them.

I do like that Maleny is trying to uncover what happened with her dad. I still can’t stand her but between her and Isela, I detest Isela more for what she’s doing to her “friend” MD.

I sure hope they do not drag out much longer Max not knowing about the rape. If MD plans on pressing charges as she said, then of course Max would find out. Dan is from a prominent family, so the rape charge would be in the news. Claudio is a judge, so the charging documents could turn up in is path somehow.

Sorry to say that MD's reveal to Isela that she didn't think of the morning-after pill seems to pretty much assure that MD will be pregnant.

Heart-warming scene of everyone banding together to build a ramp for Julian. Max and Ari in tight jeans and Ts, yes!
 

Thanks for bullets points Vivi. The rape center SHOULD have given in to MD so that's a beanie moment. MD herself did not have to think about it. It is standard procedure after a rape. A pregnancy test, in case the woman is already pregnant, if not the pill for 3 days after the rape. MD said there was a rape exam done so the pill is part of the procedure. I get the writers purpose that wouldn't work so I accept. By the way, the idea of Dan going to jail and rape MD is disgusting so please writers spare us. Isela is slime for what she is doing.

the only difference between the evilness of Isela and Danny -boy, is that one's evilness is more or less shown and known (Danny), and the other (Isela) is like a slithering snake, ready to strike when you didn't even see it coming.
 

What if we don't find out the baby's daddy until the very end! I don't know if I have that muhammad patience!
 

Would the "morning after" pill have worked if she was already pregnant by Max since their sex took place a few days or so +/- before the rape? ??

I don't think that MD and Max were irresponsible enough to have unprotected sex, so I don't think MD has reason to believe that she might already be pregnant with his baby.
 

I cringed when Isela told MD at least her first time was beautiful with a man she loved and her's (Isela's) was rape.
 

Tofie- That whole scene made me cringe, the way Isela was twisting the truth, and trying to make MD, THE REAL RAPE VICTIM, feel guilty.
 

@Victoria, they test for pregnancy first unless the woman was either a virgin or had not been with anyone for a long time thereby, no risk or her being already pregnant. I am sure if there is a baby it will be Max's classic novela trick, unfortunately. Dang it!

If MD is already pregnant by Max that pill would not work and the likelihood of a second ovum being fertilized by that weasel's sperm is very small.

I dearly hope we don't have to spend the entire second half of this series waiting for this information. If MD is pregnant by Max there is a test that can be done when she's pregnant three or four months. It's not cheap but it can be done from a blood sample from the mother and buccal swabs from the putative fathers. 5-7 business days until the results are in; rush jobs in the US typically are 3 business days.

Of course, we still have to worry about whether Danny-Boy and his non-bankrupt family will try to mess with the results. Now if the writers were smart and really bold.....

...how about having MD and Max think about this and plan for it? Max pays a doctor of his choice to provide results that say he is the father no matter what the results really are? Only he and MD would have to know the real truth until Danny-Boy is in the Great Beyond (and Maleny and Ursula with him).

gawd, please don't let MD be pregnant, please don't let MD be pregnant, please but fear she may or why go through so much trouble inserting Isela into a position to tell Maleny every thing. Wonder if Isela will ask Maleny if she knew MD had been raped by Dan and if so why she didn't tell her? Surely now Isela knows the health monitoring she'll be doing may be related.
 

Tofie, of course MD is pregnant, this is a telenovela and where else would the storyline go? Just a guess, not a spoiler.
 

Oh, I know, but it makes me wanna puke. I had to turn away when MD married Dan and slept with him all happy like, literally felt ill after watching the rape and for her to carry his child, errrr. We saw what happened to Ivana while carrying that devils child and don't imagine MD's experience will be any better. I wanted more Max and MD but this show is really about Dan and MD.
 

I think the father will be Daniel and Max will ultimately raise the child. A foreshadowing of this was when Maria Dolores took the pregnancy test at the doctor after the fake wedding and Max told her he would love the child, even if it was Daniel's, because it was part of Maria Dolores.

Ivana has a chance to be rid of the crazy bunch but shes continuing to play their sick game. So whatever happens, happens.

Anon207- I think you're right on about the foreshadowing when Max said he'd love any child of MD's, no matter if he wasn't the father or who was the father.
 

The Isela situation is so over the top complicated, it makes my head spin. What the heck? How do the writers keep everything in order? We need a flow chart, lol.

If Isela is still doing all this for revenge, will Orlando forgive her in the end? Will anybody understand and forgive her?

Here is the extent that Isela is going to help her mother with her revenge plot:
Align herself with a sick woman,
Turn on her friends and lie to them,
Sleep with an old man over and over,
Hurt Alma, Max, and Leo,
Lose the love of her life,
Get an innocent maid fired.
 

Cathyx- Not only is she losing the love of her life, she is slandering Orlando, she got him beat to a pulp by Claudio's police buddies, a restraining order put out on him, and put him in serious debt (all because she decided for a few hours that she wanted to run away with him). She also been slandering MD.
 

Isela may remember from time to time her original revenge motivations (like when she questioned Claudio about his judgement over dinner), but she is doing this because she likes the excitement. She enjoys sleeping with Claudio. She enjoys driving crazy. She enjoys the danger of Alma being in the same house. She likes being pampered in that big house.

Sure, she feels guilty from time to time, but I think her enjoyment of it all trumps the guilt. If she could somehow make MD, her mom, and all the barrio peeps disappear, she would, and then she could enjoy her new life guilt free.

I find it difficult to understand Maleny but knew it was important. I thought Isela was lying but was dying to know what Mal had to say. What awful people some of them are!!

I actually hope you're right Vivi, because if she isn't enjoying it, and is that beholden to her mother to be willing to sacrifice everything, then she's even sicker and more brainwashed than I thought.
 

Well, she is sick and brainwashed too. I don't think she really knows or understands what she feels. I think she has conflicting feelings about a lot of it, especially her feelings for Claudio and Orly. What I can't stand is how easily she is throwing MD under the bus. Like she doesn't care about her at all.
 

And we're only just approaching the middle; Tuesday/Wednesday is the hump.

I think Ivana wants to lead the Santibanez into a trap. She will need to be very cold-blooded to do this and I think she's almost there. Whatever her plans are I hope she humiliates the crap out of them.

I dont believe Isela "suggested" the morning after pill to MD, she was just interested in finding out what the chances might be that MD could be pregnant from Weasel in order to tell Mal.
Isela always has an ulterior motive now.

Karma is a bitch and she has PMS. I revised the rap sheets today to make our cases. It looks like there will be daily revisions until the end. Perry Mason wouldn't take any of these cases.

Are both slimmy. I never thought she'd turn out to be a backstabbing B. But thats alright my girl doris got MDs Back. Isela may not be ho-seffas bio kid but She Certainly is playin the part well, nasty just like her. She should just take a knife and stabb MD in the heart with it.
 

I don't know that Isela deserves to be put in the same category as Daniel, but she definitely doesn't deserve better than, say, Ari. They're not the worst, but still perfectly fine to use their friends to get what they want. Doris and Orlando deserve better! (I get that Isela is damaged because of her "mother", but she's had opportunities to get out and always chooses to go back. She's enjoying herself a little too much to maintain sympathy).

I wasable to catch the next couple weeks of shows since I'm going away (couldn't miss a one) and I can't wait for you guys to catch up. So many questions! I thought I knew where this was going to go but then nope! They're keeping us on our toes.

Thank you for all the beautiful comments especially Vivi for her recap. This novela has surely gotten sick to the point you don't know which villain is the worst but they are very well acted! Isela is very disturbing with using people like strings. Before I thought that she was just Josefa's the Heffa's victim but now I see they are both equally depraved.

I don't know what Ivana's endgame is but If it is to humiliate the Santibaniez cult than it's all game. These reptiles are the modern Lannisters. Ursula would certainly love the taste of the Iron Throne. Who is our Tyrion Lannister in this story?
