Pasión y Poder #4 Friday 11/6/15 Joshua is free, Daniela and David bond, and Miguel plays with Play-Doh.

Hey everyone. I'm Mauricio and I'll be your Friday recapper for Pasión y Poder.

Let's get started...

Maribel, her husband, her daughter Luisita, Clara, and a new character named Doña Gisela sit down at the table for dinner. They're all eating, except for Doña Gisela, who is the Debbie Downer of the table, and who believes that Maribel should be saving a plate of food to sell at her stand tomorrow. Doña Gisela is all about saving money, because you never know what could happen, just look at her, she used to be supported financially by her daughter Caridad, but now she's the one that has to see what she does to take her daughter a plate of food to prison. When Luisita mentions her and her parents trip to Acapulco, Doña Gisela wonders with what money they'll travel. Honestly, it's none of her beeswax, and if I were sitting at the table I would have told her so, but Maribel's husband is a sweetheart and answers her question. He tells her that they have been saving up and with the travel allowance he'll receive from his job to travel to Acapulco to work he will complete the money they'll need to make the trip. Maribel thinks they should use the money they have saved up to buy their apartment, but her husband tells her that they'll do that later, right now he wants to give them this trip. Doña Gisela has moved in with Clara so the two can share expenses. When Clara mentions the monthly check that Doña Gisela receives, Doña Gisela gets nervous, and more so when she accidentally contradicts her earlier story of the reason for receiving the check. She had said that it was from her own pension before but now she tells them that it is from the pension of her deceased husband who worked for Gomez Luna.

The next morning, Regina visits Joshua in jail. Joshua tells Regina that they took his shoes, that he had a terrible night, and he asks her to get him out of there. Regina tells him that Augustin and his parents' attorney's are working on it, but her dad told her that he could kept on lock down for at least 48 hours while the investigation takes place. Joshua is not happy, he can't stand being there a minute longer, it's the worst place ever. #suxtobeyouJoshua

At Eladio's torture chamber, err home, he and Julia have sat down for breakfast. Simona is early with the paper this morning, so we get to see that Eladio and Arturo have made the front page with the headline: A War Of Businessmen. Eladio tells Julia that he's the one winning the war despite her declarations of the previous day. Changing the subject, Julia asks Eladio for permission to be with her son who is being discharged from the hospital. Eladio doesn't want to let her go, and tells her that she doesn't have to be there, because David is a man now. Besides, all David has to do is get dressed and then pay the hospital bill. Oh, by the way, David will be paying the hospital bill with Eladio's money, and speaking about Eladio's money, Eladio just received a bill from the retirement home where Julia's dad is at, and my oh my the retirement home is very expensive these days. Eladio suggests Julia go and see her dad, and that way she can remember how well taken care of he is there, and while she's there she can tell her dad that as long as she's a good little girl, he'll continue to pay his bills. Julia is now in tears, and Eladio tortures her about that, asking her why she's crying. She replies that she's crying for no reason, and he can't believe that now she cries for no reason. Jerk.

David and Gabriela arrive at the police station. David makes his statement to the authorities, and also to the press who butt in and record him. David says that what his dad said about Arutro Montenegro is not true and that what happened to him was an accident. Regina overhears David make his statement. She approaches David and thanks him for clearing things up. David tells her that it was the right thing to do. David tells Regina that now that Joshua will be freed she'll be able to get married. Before anything else can be said, David is interrupted and asked to fill out some form.

At Casa Montenegro, Arturo and Nina have sat down for breakfast. Nina doesn't want to answer her phone anymore because she keeps on being grilled with questions about the wedding. Arturo thinks that right now that should be what matters the least. But Nina thinks otherwise, because Regina still loves Joshua, if not then she wouldn't have asked Arturo to get Joshua out of this problem. Arutro can't believe that Joshua's parents don't care about him. Nina says that they'll be back when they can and besides they did send their attorneys. Augustin now arrives, and we can tell that he hasn't checked his social media accounts, because he hasn't gotten the news of David's statements to the authorities yet. Agustin tells Arturo and Nina that the detailed report from the insurance company where it explains how the accident took place will arrive shortly.

As Regina makes her way down the aisle to Joshua's cell, she's once again bothered by the other prisoners. Regina tells Joshua about David's statements to the authorities. Joshua thinks Eladio sent David to make the statements, because since they didn't have any proof, they didn't want to make fools of themselves. Regina says whatever the reason was that David came over at least now Joshua will be free. Joshua is all smiles now, and says that he needs to shower, so then they can celebrate and then go and give out their wedding invitations. Regina now makes it clear to him that just because she was there doesn't mean that they have fixed things. She's not going to marry him.

Eladio instructs one of the security guards to keep an eye on Julia when he takes her to Cuernavaca to see her dad. Obviously, the security guard will have to give him a full report of everything. The security guard leaves. Franco now enters with the news about David's statements. Eladio is not happy at all. At that moment, David and Gabriela enter, after having made a stop at Dolce & Gabbana, which explains the little baggie that David is carrying with him. Eladio receives David with a slap across the face, either because David didn't get him anything from D&G or because of the statements he made. Julia who has witnessed the slap comes to her son's defense. Eladio is really mad because David made him out to the be a liar and now all the press is saying that he was betrayed by his own son. Eladio grabs David by his purple shirt and orders David to leave. But David comes back and asks his mother to leave with him. Eladio orders David to get out.

Joshua still denies that he and Daniela slobbered all over each other, err smooched, and he tries to use to the "we love each other" card with Regina. But Regina stands her ground, and tells Joshua that she's no longer sure what she feels for him. She makes it clear to him that they aren't getting married. Joshua is sure that she'll change her mind. Regina tells him that right now is not the time and place to talk about that. She leaves to go and inform her dad about David's statement. As she exits the cells, one of the prisoners touches her arm, and she shrieks and runs out. Joshua, now sits on the ground, sad. Lucky for Joshua, the transvestite is available, just saying.

Julia comes to David's defense, telling Eladio that he can't do that to their son. Eladio asks her to stop defending him. David shouts that Julia doesn't need to defend him, he can put him in his place if he wants to, and if he doesn't do it, it is out of respect for his mother, because it's her house. Eladio states that it's HIS house. But David shouts that it's HER house also. Eladio states again that it's HIS house. Fortunately, this doesn't go on. David states that he knows how to work which makes Eladio laugh out loud. He can't believe that at this age El Niño David is auto sufficient. David begs his mother to come with him. But Eladio shuts him up and knows that David will come running to him when David needs money. Eladio tells David that he'll have to forget about this house and any support from him because for him he has never existed and is dead. Eladio now snaps his fingers and kicks David out. Oh, and take that damn baggie with you! he tells David. David leaves. Julia tries to go after him but Eladio shouts at her. Julia tells Eladio never to say that David is dead. Eladio says that for him that ingrate is dead.

Arturo and Augustin talk about the report from the insurance company which proves that Eladio lied about the accident. They talk a little about business and about Los Barriento not having signed the contract so he can construct some mall. Erick now shows up with the news about David's statements. Augustin states that with the statements all is solved. Arturo thinks that having his own son unmask him is the worst punishment that Eladio could have. Erick now leaves to work. Nina says that not even Eladio's wife backed him up. Augustin lets it slip that Julia knows that Arturo is a respectable man. Arturo gets nervous with Augustin's remark and tries to change the subject. But it's no use, because Nina now asks Augustin what he meant with his remark. Well, Agustin saves his friend's butt, by saying that it's no secret that Arturo is a respectable man, and says that both Julia and David behaved properly. Arturo then gets a phone call from Regina with the news about David's statements. After Arturo hangs up, both he and Augustin leave. Nina is happy that everything has been cleared up so the wedding planning can continue.

Back at the torture chamber, err the Gomez Luna home, Eladio has Julia by the arm as they both enter their bedroom. They argue over Eladio throwing David out of the house. Julia will never forgive Eladio for that. Eladio asks Julia if she wants for him to kick her dad to the curb too. Julia asks him why he's doing this to her. Eladio tells her not to blame him, because he offered her everything since they got married, but she made him change by not loving him. He thinks she should at least be thankful to him. She tells him that she will never forget that he paid her dad's gambling debts and saved him from bankruptcy because he has made her pay him back deeply. He asks her if she thinks it has been easy for him to have her close and never receive anything from her. He says that he has had to conform with her pretending to love him in front of others. He tells her that he continues to do so because he still is waiting for her to love him. But since he can't have her in a good way then it'll be in a bad way. He then warns her not to abandon him or else he'll make her son's life miserable. He leaves. Julia cries.

Augustin apologizes to Arturo for mentioning Julia. Augustin knows that Nina doesn't know what there was between Arturo and Julia. Arturo says that Nina is very jealous and that she wouldn't understand. Augustin mentions that the conflict between Arturo and Eladio started because of Julia. Arturo tells Augustin about running into Julia at the hospital. He tells Augustin about how he wanted to hug Julia and tell her... Augustin finishes his sentence knowing that that what Arturo wanted to tell Julia was that he still loves her.

Franco enters Eladio's study and finds Eladio having a drink. Franco has come so Eladio can sign some papers. He tells Eladio not to feel bad for kicking David out of the house, it is the least that David deserved. Franco then does some butt kissing and tells Eladio that he'd never do what David did to him. Eladio shuts him up. Eladio realizes that it was a mistake to have kicked David out. David can convince Julia and take her with him. Franco doesn't think that will happen because if Julia has been with him for so many years it is for reason. Eladio says that it wasn't out of love that she has been there. Eladio curses Arturo. Franco asks Eladio why he hates Arturo so much. Franco can tell it's not because of business. Eladio says that he hates Arturo because despite having loved Julia and having do so much for her, her heart has always belonged to Arturo.

Arturo admits to Augustin that Julia has been the love of his life. Augustin thinks that it must have been difficult for Arutro to see Julia after so many years. It was difficult. Arturo wonders why Julia never forgave him. Augustin says because you got another woman pregnant. Bingo. Arturo says that now that he has seen her it has stirred up his feelings and everything else. Augustin understands. Arutro says that he tried to start over again and wanted to form a family for Miguel. We find out that Susana, Miguel's mom, died. Arturo says that if it hadn't been for Nina, he doesn't know what would have happened, he felt so alone. Augustin says that there is the family that Arutro wanted. Arturo says that although Nina is a good woman and passionate, and even though they have a good intimate chemistry, there is no point of comparison over what he feels for Nina, to what he felt for Julia, that love that he still feels for Julia.

Franco never would have imagined that Arturo .. Eladio shuts him up before he can finish his sentence. Franco tells Eladio that it's all in the past, she's married to him, and they have a son. Franco tries to say more to cheer him up, err to butt kiss some more, but Eladio loses his patience with him and dismisses him. After Franco leaves, Eladio serves himself another drink, and says that he can't lose Julia, not now.

Erick and Consuelo descend the stairs. Consuelo wants to know if he'll be home early, because ummm she's in her fertile period, and umm well she has more possibilities of getting pregnant tonight. Erick is not amused, he can't believe that she's thinking about sex right now with everything that's happening in the family. Besides, let's be honest, he tells her, if she hasn't been able to get pregnant in two years, why would she get pregnant now. She tells him that he hasn't wanted to come with her to see the doctor. The jerk then tells her that she's the one with the problem and not him. He leaves. Miguel walks up from behind and asks her if he can help her. He's her brother in law but also her friend. She tells him that no one can help her and she heads back upstairs.

David and Francisco meet for coffee. David tells Francisco about his dad throwing him out of the house. David thinks his dad is nuts. Francisco asks David if he wants to come with him to Cancun. Yes, Francisco is going there for work, but there will also be a yacht and woman. David is convinced, he's going alright.

Julia visits her father, Humberto, or as I like to call him Daddy Dearest or Old Goat, or many other names that I'm probably not allowed to say on here. Anyway, Humberto is in a wheel chair with an oxygen tank in the back. Julia tells her dad that she can't take it anymore. Humberto can imagine, he heard on the radio about the stupid things that her son is doing. Julia says that David is right, and what happened was an accident. But Humberto thinks that Julia and David need to back up Eladio in everything because he's her husband and is the boss. Julia tells her dad that he does not know everything that Eladio has done to her. She tells her dad that she wants a divorce. Humberto whines that if she divorces Eladio then he'll be put in a public institution and die in poverty. Good. Die. Humberto. Die. Julia tells her dad that Eladio kicked David out of the house and that her life is a living hell. Julia tells her dad that Eladio is always torturing her insisting that David is not his son. Well, Humberto has his doubts about that too, because they both know that she saw Arturo before her wedding. Humberto knows that she has never stopped loving Arturo. Humberto says that Julia is the only one to blame for her marriage not working out. He says that there are no divorces in the family and that she doesn't know how to do anything so how would they live. He says that if Eladio wants to he can close the doors for David. He then warns her to keep her husband happy.

Regina thanks her dad for helping Joshua. Arturo wants to talk to Regina about something but they are interrupted by Joshua coming out. Regina embraces Joshua, but he wants a little something else, a kiss, but Regina backs off, probably because he reeks of jail. The press now question Arturo asking him if he'll press charges against Eladio now that it was proven that Eladio wanted to taint his reputation. Arturo states that he's not like Eladio and that all he wants is to clean his name. He says that he won't given importance to who does not have it. He leaves. Augustin asks Arturo if he's really going to leave thing as is because now is his opportunity. Arturo says that he will in front of the press but he'll bring Eladio down not only in business, but he'll look for Julia. Augustin thinks Arturo is being taken by the moment, but Arturo says that it's a decision that he has thought about. Regina interrupts the conversation. She wants to leave because they keep on asking her about her wedding. Arturo and Regina leave.

Humberto doesn't know what Julia is whining about. Eladio has her living like a queen after all. Julia says, yeah, but in a cage made of gold. Well, it'd be worse to live in a hut, says Humberto. Well, Julia would prefer it. Humberto says that their family has always been of money. He says that Julia never studied a career so how would she make a living. Julia says she'd work in anything as long as she had her freedom. She says that yeah, they had money, but he bet it all. He gets mad at her comment and tries to roll away on his electronic wheelchair. Julia goes after him and apologizes. He tells her that he is still her dad and to not disrespect him. He tells her to quit the whining and to fix things with her husband.

We are now treated to a bare chested Eladio and his tattoo. He's with Montserrat and is already satisfied but not Montserrat. She's upset because she feels that he forgets what she needs and that the pleasure is always for him. He repeats the ground rules to her. It's when he wants it and how he wants it. He tells her not to forget it. She says that he's right and goes to get his drink. But he grabs her by the arm and warns her not to start with her nonsense or else he'll find someone else and take the apartment from her. She seductively apologizes to him and kisses him on the arm. He asks her for his drink and she tells him that it will be when he wants it and how he wants it. He asks her again to go and get his drink and she leaves.

As Miguel plays with Play-Doh, Regina tells him that Joshua is a free man. Miguel thinks it was nice of her to have been there for Joshua, but now she really does not have to do anything else for him. Or has she regretted breaking up with him? Before Regina can answer the question, Nina comes in carrying the wedding dress that has arrived. Regina tells her mother that she doesn't want to see it. Nina asks The Dummy with the Play-Doh to leave the room. Miguel leaves. Nina brings a smile to Regina's face by telling her that she has thought about it and now all she wants is Regina's happiness. But then she turns that smile upside down when she says that is sure that Joshua will make Regina happy. Regina gets exasperated because she already told her mother.. Nina tells Regina that she knows they have different tastes and well she is willing to respect Regina's taste. The dress that has been delivered is the one that Regina wanted. Nina says that she talked to the wedding planner so the wedding will be done like Regina wants. Regina says that she's not going to marry Joshua. But Nina says that no man is perfect and that all relationships have their ups and downs. Nina knows that Regina loves Joshua and tells her to show it and forgive him. Regina doesn't think she'll able to. Nina says of course you will, learn to get over things, and defend your happiness, don't let anyone take what is yours. Nina asks Regina to think how happy she can be. Regina embraces her mother.

Gabriela and David meet at the coffee place. Gabriela is sure that if her aunt asks her uncle... No, no, no, David doesn't want to return home. Can Gabriela believe that his dad forbade his mother from getting in contact with him? No, Gabriela can't believe it, well actually she can since it's coming from her uncle. David asks Gabriela to help him so he can see his mother. Gabriela doesn't like the idea, because she's afraid of Eladio. David admits that he's a little afraid of him too. He begs Gabriela to help him.

Francisco returns to work and gets yelled at by Franco. Francisco admits that he was with David and Franco tells him that he needs to decide if his loyalty is with David or with his boss because Francisco's job depends on it. Francisco stands up to Franco asking him if Eladio was the one who asked him to tell him all this. Franco says no, but he knows Eladio so well, that's why he's warning him. Well, if Eladio brings it up, then they can talk about it, but for now keep your comments to yourself, Francisco tells Franco.

Nina and Daniela, the mother and daughter duo, talk. Nina tells Daniela that she had to change her strategy and allow Regina to plan the wedding like she wants. Maybe now Regina will want to get married. Daniela is horrified at the thought of Regina planning her own wedding. Nina says that once Regina and Joshua get back together they'll end up doing it all like they want it. Arturo shows up. Nina congratulates him for the punch in the face that he has given Eladio, who is now being made fun of. Nina says that now it has been made clear that Arturo is a respectable man. Arturo wants to talk to Daniela and Regina. Regina shows up and Arturo wants to know exactly what happened with Joshua. Regina explains that Daniela and Joshua were sharing saliva, err kissing. Arturo now looks at Daniela.

David and Julia are able to see each other. Julia was able to sneak some of David's things from the house. She tells her son that she hopes to be able to convince his dad so he can return to the house. David tells her that he doesn't want to come back home, and he does not want anything from the house, he does not want anything from his dad, he only wants what he has was able to buy with his own money. He says that he's not a millionaire, but he does have a job, and will move forward in life.

Daniela denies, denies, denies slobbering, err kissing Joshua. Regina says that she saw them and is sure of what she saw. Daniela says that she's not interested in Joshua, and even though she and her don't get along, she'd never do that to her. Regina is sure that Daniela did it to have fun and to stick to her. Daniela continues to deny it. Joshua arrives at that moment and he confirms what Daniela says that there is nothing between them. He then gets on his knees and swears it. He'd never be unfaithful to Regina. Regina is not convinced. Still on his knees, Joshua tells her that he loves her and can't be without her.

Julia is worried because David's job comes from projects, and he doesn't have a stable income. He tells his mother not to worry about. He tells her to think about how his dad treats her. She tells him that things aren't always like he thinks. He tells her that, that is the problem, they are always like that, and she needs to end that sick relationship. She changes the subject and asks him where he'll live before he leaves. He tells her that he will be with Francisco and will call her when he returns.

Regina asks Joshua to stand up. They won't fix things like that. Daniela and Joshua swear that they see each other as family. Daniela says that she's leaving for the beach with her friends. She justifies the trip to the beach saying that now it's better for her to leave since she's being a burden to Regina and Joshua. Arturo is not happy with the idea, but Nina steps in, and seductively tells her husband that she had already given Daniela permission. Besides, that way Regina and Joshua will be calm and able to make a decision. Daniela leaves. Joshua swears to Arturo that if it were up to him he'd marry Regina today. Arturo says that it's up to Regina to decide. He tells Regina not to let herself be pressured by anyone and to take as much as time she needs to make the decision. Regina leaves. Joshua asks Nina what he should do now. Nina gives him an "I'll take care of it" signal.

Now we are in Cancun, and on the yacht that Francisco talked about. Francisco is shirtless. David is not. Daniela is there too and she hand feeds David a grape. She introduces herself knowing who he is. She and him agree that they have nothing to do with the problem their father's have. Daniela wants to have fun with him and she does a little dance for him which he seems to enjoy.

Consuelo seduces Erick with her smooches and sexy negligee, but kills the mood, when she reminds him that there are more possibilities today for him to get her pregnant. He's a jerk and tells her that she has just killed the little desire that he was starting to feel. He tells her that you can't force sex and that it has to come naturally. He picks up his jacket and tie and leaves.

Daniela and David drink. They take a selfie. She wants to help him forget all his troubles. She leaves to let her friends know. Francisco shows up and asks him if he knows that, that is Daniela Montenegro. David knows. Francisco hopes it doesn't cause David problems with his dad but David doesn't care what his dad thinks. Besides he doesn't have any problem with the Montenegro's. David just wants to have fun. David asks Francisco to calm down, he's not going to get married to any Montenegro. Daniela now calls him over to where she is. He goes over to her and she wants to dance. But she touches his ribs where it still hurts. A man takes photos of them dancing. Daniela knows the photos will mean trouble with her dad. David confronts the man for taking photos of them and is about to get into a fight with him but Francisco breaks it up. David's ribs hurt and Daniela removes his shirt and kisses him where it hurts. Francisco returns and tells them that he had to give the man money for the memory disk. Daniela takes the disk and leaves. Francisco is not happy that David is with Daniela for five minutes and already there are problems. Francisco leaves. Daniela returns and tells David that they will erase the memory from the disk. Daniela looks at him and tells him that he is far more interesting than she had imagined. She tells him that she will give him a reward that will make him feel a lot better. And that reward is a smooch on the lips which he accepts.

Comments:
For the most part I'm liking this novela but I am getting annoyed at how Joshua and Daniela keep getting away with denying their slobbering and Nina and Arturo either don't believe Regina saw them or they don't care.

Also I keep getting distracted by Nina's bright purple lipstick.

Eladio continued to be the worst husband ever but, he might be tied for Worst Father of the Century with Julia's dad. I felt so bad for Julia when he keep telling her she has to support her husband because he's her boss and more importantly if she doesn't he'll die in *gasp* poverty. Oh and then he implied that she cheated on Eladio and that David is a bastard, I hope the old geezer gets a horrible death later on. I almost cheered when she pointed out that the reason they're dependent on Eladio is because Daddy Dearest gambled away their money but he immediately guilt tripped her. I guess those scenes were to explain why Julia's put up with Eladio for so long since she's always been in an abusive environment (first her dad and now Eladio).

I like Gabriela and her actress so far, I want to see more of her. Also I wonder how she's related to David, from Julia's side of the family or Eladio's?

I feel sad for Consuelo and am happy to see Altair playing a different role than usual but hopefully they give her more to do soon than just be insulted by Erick about not being about to get pregnant when it's most likely he's the one who's sterile. I'd rather see her interact more with Regina and Miguel, or anyone other than Erick.

Speaking of Miguel, it kinda seemed like he was gave her a longing look so I feel like there may be some romantic stuff between the two of them later on, which will certainly piss off Nina. I mean the purple lipped mother-in-law already dislikes her, imagine how she'll react if Consuelo was in a romance with the Dummy?

And eww Daniela is now two for two when it comes to slobbering over Regina's love interests, ugh.

Mauricio, great recap and appreciate every word

"#suxtobeyouJoshua"

"As Miguel plays with Play-Doh"

Julia is an insult to every poor woman truly tethered to a beast by fear & financial necessity. Most troubling, her refusal to leave has allowed Eladio to continually abuse her son. Mother of the year? NOT

I see why Joshua & David would prefer Daniela over Aldonza, err, I mean Regina. Capricious Daniela is a whole lotta fun and clever enough to know when to get out of town to clear her head.

Erick is a dickhead but doing a better job at being one than Eladio. Eladio lacks subtlety.

"Lucky for Joshua, the transvestite is available, just saying." And she's mopping up the coffee on her desk.

Great recap Mauricio!

Well, now we know the background on Julia's skank of a father. Frankly, at this point I would tell the old coot to rethink his ideas because she's given him 20 years of a better life, so she's owed the next 20. But it explains why she backs down so easily since most likely this idiot has been Mr. Macho all his life and that was how she was raised.

I did like the conversation turning where she was willing to work for a living. So now we just need the old coot to kick the bucket, and maybe that will get her to leave. Not to say it won't keep Eladio from hounding her, but she won't be under his thumb. Buy a cell phone and learn to record and take pictures!

Yeah, we all get Daniela is the fun version of every guy's dream of a night out, and Regina is the one to take home to mother. Not loving the idea we have the guy as a tug a war between the two sisters again, but predictable TN cliché.

Poor Conseulo. Poster girl for Regina to know she couldn't marry for money and do nothing all day. I wonder if Erick put the screws to her to do her modeling? So wonder if we are being set up for her to hook up with someone else, then she'll get pregnant...I watch way too many of these TN's I think.

Daisynjay

thanks, Mauricio, for that detailed lovely recap.

Geez, what part of "no" do these folks not understand?? Redonza keeps saying that she is definitely not getting married, but Nina brings her the wedding gown and The Ginger cutie whines that he lost his shoes and has to get a new pair for the wedding. Que the hell????

I must comment that in real life those young adults would be bolting out of the room when mom started snarming all over dad. Uncomfortable. Just saying.

also, I think that enormous tatoo on Fernando might be real. It reminds me of the Samoan tatoo that Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) rocks. I cannot imagine the makeup department putting that on him like the makeup people havev to apply to the hero's flogged back scars in Outlander for every shirtless scene.

Cynderella....Hi, girl. I am waiting for some prepositions. So far , all I am getting is ...Eladio is on the edge, over the top, and in a mood.

Good morning everyone. Thank you for the great comments this morning. I'm glad you all enjoyed the recap. I loved writing it.

I don't want to sound mean, but I'm already setting up a Die Humberto Die table. Does anyone else want to join me at the table?

The introduction of Doña Gisela is interesting. She sure got nervous when it was mentioned that she receives a monthly check. What could she be hiding? Can't wait to find out.

It would awesome if Erick is the one with the problem and not Consuelo. Erick is such a jerk that I wish Consuelo would dump him and go back into modeling which she should have never left for him.

Daniela and David is not the Montenegro and Gomez Luna pairing that I wanted to see. What a disappointment that David is giving in to Daniela's charms.

Thanks, Mauricio. Great recap. What an eye for detail you have. At first I noticed neither Miguel's PlayDoh nor David's shopping bag. Now I get Eladio's "and take your little bag with you" line to David.

Well Eladio is certainly a horrible controlling man, but I do like his self-awareness that kicking David out was a dumb move if he wants to keep Julia in line and that his godson Franco is a brown noser. Loved Francisco standing up to Franco.

Arturo is a good guy, but I'm annoyed that he doesn't notice his wife mistreats Miguel. So now Arturo is going to look up Julia. Really? What are the chances Eladio wouldn't find out.

Adriana Noel here
I just wrote a huge comment that got lost.... UGHHHHHHHH!!!

Great read, Mauricio, thank you for your hard work with the recap and a very special thank you for Lo Imperdonable, you were a great team leader.

A few random ideas that I mentioned in my firs comment:
Miguel & Consuelo - I can see it happening
Regina - hopefully she sticks to her career, no matter who she falls in love with
FC - still not a convincing villain for me, hopefully he gets better
Nina - your daughter does NOT want to get married, call your relatives and all the guests, come up with an excuse for the wedding being called off (if you don't want them to know that your daughters have the same taste in men)

Thank you Mauricio, and thank you Novela Maven for yesterdays recap too. The characters in this TN are very black and white. Good or bad. Sleeps around or is true blue. Liar or truthteller. It's not difficult to see which side everyone is on.

After experiencing what the jail cell inmates were like, the least Regina could have done was wear a pair of jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers when she went to tell Joshua that he was getting out.

I can see Regina is starting to crack and will forgive Joshua for his indiscretion.

Mauricio, you were in your element - fantastic.

"#suxtobeyou" was simply great. "Franco tries to say more to cheer him up, err to butt kiss some more" and "Regina backs off, probably because he reeks of jail" were other favorites. "Humberto whines that if she divorces Eladio then he'll be put in a public institution and die in poverty. Good. Die. Humberto. Die" echoed my feelings perfectly.

"Humberto thinks that Julia and David need to back up Eladio in everything because he's her husband and is the boss". Julia was literally begging her father for some support, some sympathy, some crumb of understanding. And received none.

While it seems evident Arturo still carries a torch for Julia, we've not really seen any pining away on her behalf. In fairness, she is likely consumed with keeping the abusive Eladio at bay and David. I'm very curious as to how the Arturo/Julia storyline will proceed.

I hope we get to see more dimension in Eladio. Cruel, dark and angry can't be the only emotions, can they? The character would be infinitely more interesting with some/any (?) emotions that aren't pure evil.

tofie, I smiled at "Capricious Daniela is a whole lotta fun and clever enough to know when to get out of town to clear her head". Yes. Too bad she has no morals, loyalty or heart. Other than that she's great! :)

Thanks again Mauricio.

Diana

Thanks so much, Mauricio! You really hit the ground running on this one. You manage to give us all the juicy details while letting none of the absurdity pass unremarked. Excellent work!

I'm also quite curious to learn more about doña Gisela – and the barrio gang too. Since Clara works for Gomez Luna Associates (where she seems to have a little crush on Francisco), lives with Gisela and is Consuelo's BFF from the casa hogar, she ties together the Upstairs crowd with the Downstairs.

Great work, Mauricio. There was one little detail I caught in the breakfast scene: The almost close-up of Julia handling her knife when looking at Eladio. She needs to see The Burning Bed.

Humberto was exactly what I expected. Julia should just leave and not worry about what Eladio would do to him. He deserves the ninth ring of Hell for the disregard he has for her. But, oh, I forgot; women aren't worth anything in their world. He should just get a high-end sex doll and be done with trying to have anything resembling a relationship.

Daniela loves to play with fire, doesn't she? She must have caught hell from Arturo once or twice for her to be afraid of his reactions at all.

Franco is a metiche and definitely angling for the future inheritance.

I would strongly advise Julia not to cry. Ever. Eladio terrorizes her for that very reaction. It gets him off more than the one-sided "happy ending" he gets from Monserrat. Can't wait for him and Erick to bump into each other at her place and I won't care who kills who.

As for Consuelo, I think I've already said it but she may have been pimped out as a child, caught an STD, and is now sterile because of that. By the time the vice squad rescued her from the brothel it was already too late.

Susanlynn 9:52 said: "also, I think that enormous tatoo on Fernando might be real." I think it might be fake. I checked a lot of pictures of Fernando on the Internet with his shirt off. None indicate a tattoo. Also checked celebrity "info" sites and every one had "NO" for 'Tattoo'. So it's possible that makeup department painted or pasted it on him. Agree that it's intricate but if it's a paste-on, it would not be that hard to put one on for any scenes which our antagonist has to appear shirtless.
The character is quite deranged and annoying. But Fernando is a wonderful actor. Alas, his anger approaches the same over the top acting where Ivan Sanchez displayed violent emotions in his recent TNs.

Do you think that is meant to indicate that Eladio is doing all this deliberately and cold-bloodedly? I'd love to know his backstory. All we have so far is that he saved Humberto from bankruptcy for which Julia paid the price.

We have such great detectives on the Caray squad. So if that tattoo is fake, there must be a reason why the decided to splay that thing on FC. Is it just supposed to reinforce what a "bad" dude he is, or does it have a meaning behind it (i.e. gang related, underworld mark. etc.) I would guess if he is supposed to be full on evil, we may find out his obvious business dealings are just a cover for something far more dastardly.

I also think his tendency to hit the decanter (too rich to say bottle) when he's angry or frustrated is going to be a trait that keeps surfacing and possibly lead to something. The writers sometimes like to lay these little characteristics early.

Consuelo and Miguel? Like it, good call. They'd be cute together. That would certainly make Nina's head implode if she found out....so I'm all for it to see that happen.

Daisynjay

I'm sure it's not that difficult to stencil it on. As long as he doesn't get shirtless more than twice a week and the character doesn't have to sweat heavily, take a shower, or dive into a pool they can get away with it. Someone should take screen grabs each time to determine how exactly they keep getting it. That would be good proof that it's fake.

That she was found in a brothel is what Consuelo doesn't want Erick to know.

At least now we also know that Eladio is a selfish bastard in bed. Not that this is any surprise.

2 things. The big bang theory had an episode where Howard and Raj were wearing fake sleeve tattoos to attract goth girls. The tattoos were on a skin colored material and they looked real on camera.

2. When justin bieber was photographed naked. I only looked at the Justin photos for research because I anticipated that the F.C. questions would arise. Anyway, it was reported that Justin had way less tattoos on his body than he usually has. They suspect that he also wears temps. Fc. Could be doing whatever justin does.

Thanks for the recap Mauricio!

Susanlynn. I'll be watching out for preps as well. The men on this show aren't that large. I think the women can bench press them.

Thanks for the recap Mauricio! #suxtobeyouJoshua had me chuckling.

All the characters have me a bit confused. Do we know anything about Josh's family yet? I may have missed it.

My vote goes with fake tatoos. It just doesn't look real to me. I love FC but I agree he's playing it a tad over the top here.

Paquita

Fake or not, even the idea of that monstrous tattoo is ridiculous! He is a supposedly in a high class family. In his youth, was he a gang member, rapper, cult, or what?. In the very least, he was mucho drunk.

Now that I think about it, we don't know about Eladio's background, hmmmmm

We know nothing about Eladio's backstory and Josh's parents haven't been visible yet. I think Nina said they were away, but it should be a red flag that they didn't come back when he was arrested.

Good evening everyone. Thank you all for the wonderful comments and great discussion.

I don't think the tattoo is real. It's most likely a temporary one that they are making FC use. Has anyone been able to figure out what it is supposed to be? It will be interesting to find out why and when he got it.

We have learned that Eladio started at the bottom and worked for Daddy Montenegro. Then he moved on up and it seems that he didn't do so in a honest manner. We have also learned from Arturo that Eladio betrayed Daddy Montenegro. It seems to me that Eladio wasn't always of money. So somewhere in his past he must have been poor.

As for Joshua, it seems like he has the kind of parents that always left him in the care of the hired help and never paid any attention to him. It is disgraceful that they wouldn't show up knowing that their son was in jail.

Mauricio, you know your stuff. No one is very happy in these two families. These folk
Are in misery. I hope somebody finds some
Happiness. Julia's dad is a moron. His baby
Girl is in hell, and all hes concerned about is
A pot to pee in. He'd have one if he hadn't
Gambled the money away, and she was not
Disrespecting him by reminding him of that
Fact. Shes surrounded by Imbeciliacs. David
Was her only protection now hes gone. What
A mess. At this point I don't care about Ela's
Past he should die and give everybody a brake, including viewerville. Thats harsh, but
This guy would have a bullseye on his head by now. Hes brutle and merciless. So what she Don't love him, he should free himself. But Misery loves company.

I thought there was a discussion with Arturo and Nina that Joshua's parents were out of the country and will return soon after hearing the news about their son.

I don't want to offend tattoo wearers, but I think the huge black tattoo is to symbolize his lower class-ness. He's a fake in the high society, he's nouveau riche, but deep down, lacking class.

OK..another bubble. burst.Soooo, FC is not really tattooed??? Gee, FC and Justin Bueber have something in common...unbelievable.

Cynderella, I would like to see some of those dudes benchpressed. I am having a hard time watching Fernando in this role. His constant yelling and grabbing is harshing my mellow.

I get a kick out of the English that the young and worthless like to throw around. In this one, Daniela loves to say "BYEE" ascshe exits stage left, and in AV, Nicky overused the "OOKAY."

Real or fake tattoo matters not, only that someone, Fernando Colunga perhaps, is trying way too hard. Can't these folks act and not a bad caricature? China shop bull in a $15,000 suit.

Really, how stupid for Eladio to announce to the press Arturo tried to harm David only to be made a fool the next day. Eladio believe this WWF Smackdown and you just spew whatever comes to mind or you beat your wife in an elevator for 20 years and nobody will ever know or you dally daily with Montserrat, yet with an army keeping tabs on your wife don't know she has another gentleman baller, caller?

Eladio is completely irrational with regard to Julia, which is what is fueling his attempt at smearing Arturo's rep. It is surprising that he can have a clear enough head to run a business while being that expensively dressed china shop bull (Good one!).

He can't remember the rules of Old Money which above all dictates civilized behavior that doesn't attract the papparazzi. And no press conferences, either, unless it's to dedicate a concert hall or charitable institution.

I think we are supposed to think that Eladio's success is based on smarminess, unethical behavior and intimidation. When up against somewhat honest people, like a Santos, you can see how people are fooled. What he didn't count on was his own son, who is totally unto his behavior, would be the one to pull the plug on his game.

The way he throws around his money, wanting everyone to know what he paid and bought, does smack of someone who had nothing and perhaps wasn't treated well growing up by those who did have it. Now that he is on equal footing in that department,it's all about ownership and pretty things and showing it off. Frankly, you wonder how much he actually "loves" Julia or whether he is one of his pretty things to be kept to show off. It's a love of a pretty possession.

As for Joshua, reminds me of those two in Robo who were kidnapped, hurt, almost killed and all we kept hearing of the parents were that they were "away", I think it was Europe and they never did surface. I think it was impliedthe parents were done with them, or we did something they didn't like so they threw money at them and went on their way. Seems to be a favorite way to show these type characters in TN's--rich kids throw their kids aside with cash and care givers if they "tire" of them. Even if they get killed, they don't show up.

Daisynjay

Daisy, I think you're on the money about Eladio and how pretty things are more important than human feelings. I would advise him to let the real Julia go and go to Stepford with a briefcase full of cash, as I would advise Vittorio of MIVAC. That would suit him better in the long term because that is what he expects of Julia. Better yet....

Let Julia herself go to Stepford to order the android and send it back on her passport while she prepares a new life for herself in the US.

I think the authors of Robo dropped the ball on Natalia and Adofo's parents. We never had a payoff on them and that was inexcusable on their part. As for their being away, their children were technically adults at that point and Natalia was a very responsible one until she made the horrible mistake of marrying Pedro Medina (who also could have made a deal with the men of Stepford).

It seems to me that the writers have made it very clear that our star-crossed lovers, Julia and Arturo, are both aristocrats who take their privileged social position for granted and thus have nothing to prove to "Society"; and both are married to nouveau riche vulgarians, Eladio and Nina, who never stop trying to prove themselves.

We haven't talked much about Nina. I'm quite impressed by Marlene Favela in this role. She is so very good at manipulating Arturo and Regina when she turns on the charm and so convincingly witchy when she lets her claws come out. Someone else has already mentioned, I think, that it's surprising that Arturo lets her treat Miguel (and Consuelo) so badly. Are we to assume he is so clueless and wrapped up in his work that he doesn't notice the suffering in his house? Or worse, that he notices and chooses to overlook it?

As for Nadia and Adolfo in Robo, I agree with Urban – I think the writers kind of dropped the ball on the issue of their parents. There were too many references to them, and their absence was simply puzzling and ultimately disappointing. It would have been better to write them as orphans and be done with it. :-)

Hello everyone! And, as always, thank you recappers for your hard work. I gotta say, with a heavy heart, that this TN has been nothing but a disappointment, especially after watching YNCELH. For one, Julia is so weak it's hard to look at. The only thing keeping her there, her son, basically held out his hand and said let's bail and she went back to the man who treats her like dirt.

Fernando Colunga needs to tone it down a bit as his villain is cartoonish at best at this point. The revelation has been Marlene Favela as Nina, who is subtle in her evil tendencies and knows how to manipulate those around her while making it seem she can't hurt a fly. Ultimately, not even she can save this as all the good guys are walking around like they've has had lobotomies and all the evil ones hold every winning card.

To me, it also seems like this cast doesn't have the winning chemistry YNCELH does, nor QA and LM did. They're not gelling together as they should and the dialogue is cringeworthy.

To those who are enjoying it I wish nothing but the best and the recappers will make this even more enjoyable but there has been nothing in this first week to keep me glued. I also suspect that the good guys will always be one step behind the bad guys and they'll easily believe the lies they are told.

Novelas have come too far in the past 3 years to be thrown a curveball such as this and from El Guero Castro who has done a lot of good stories in the past.

Just my two cents for now :)

Last night, I saw a promo for a new show on NBC starring Eva Longorio called "Telenovela." I guess that TPTB are encouraged by the success of " Jane the Virgin."

I'm not surprised by Marlene Favela. If you saw Telemundo's Los Herederos del Monte this performance is a natural for her. Her character in LHdM was as sexually manipulative and nasty as Nina (although more subtle) and somehow the writers "redeemed" her. She also did it without benefit of designer evening wear, bling, and outrageous lipstick. I never bought that, though, and that was the writers' fault, not hers. Paula was a greedy bitch all through that series and I only stuck it out because of the rest of the cast.

I think Arturo spends too much time at the office to notice a lot (remember his conversation with Augustin in the opening episode). I'm actually shocked that the servants don't seem to notice either. You'd think that one in his employ for a long time would be telling him things. Or maybe Nina got rid of all his former servants during the first two years of their marriage and the current ones are primarily loyal to her.

Agree Marlene Favela almost there. Just drop the bow in her hair and the lipstick and she'll be perfect. I love her sashay.

Agree Superalfie, since watching Yo No and actors really delivering, this one is like a B movie.

About nina's purple lipstich, she need to stop wearing it, she's a very attractive woman but when you look at her face its like there's a black smear where her mouth was supposed to be. Maybe its her character that dresses like this but still that looks like its way to dark for her fair skin. They should brighten it up a little bit, maybe something that won't wash her completely out. Maybe the writers wants to match her lipstick to her clothes but that's just too dark for her fair complexion. Im just sayin. Other than that, I Can stand her better than I can eladio. Even as nasty as she is to her stepson. And that's going to start to wear thin soon.
Susanlyn, that new NBC show starring Eva
Longoria "Telenova", that sounds like it will
Be a funny show. Lookin forward to seeing
That.
I hope pasion and power gets better, cause
Right now I can't stand the abuse of julia much longer. And yes this happens in real life, but It does come to an end. Either by death or devorce.
With this I'd like to see the 2nd one, but often in real life it usually ends with the first one.
but this is a TN if somebody ends up getting killed I hope its not Julia, cause I really can't stand fernando's character. And FC plays it so well.
I wish he'd tone it down some. Give her and
Us a brake.

If it wasn't for FC, I would bail out, but after all I watched "Por que el amor manda, pretty bad.
I wish he could get his groove back, but it seems his forte is historic novelas.

Swashbuckling is his thing!!

Mauricio---No I didn't forget your excellent work. You're so COMPLETE and PERCISE. You never miss even a little detail, so how could I miss after you put in your time and effort? I may be a little late but you are so appreciated.

Eladio's torture chamber? Yes it does seem to be that doesn't it?

I think that Nina doesn't care---after all, the wedding plans have already been made. As someone sais in the comments that Nina can talk sweet but she can also bring out the claws. When Regina went running to the jail, I would have bet that she would back down and now that the full court press is on, she'll cave. Too bad as someone said she didn't pull out her cell phone and take a picture of the kiss. Then there would be no denying the kiss but as it is now, oh it was just a hug and you are being way too harsh---she'll cave and marry the jerk. That's my guess unless something else happens before the wedding.

Daisynjay---Yeah, we all get Daniela is the fun version of every man's dream of a night out, and Regina is the one to take home to mother. --- I sure agree with that although with her hair pulled back when she was on the ship, I didn't recognize her.

I wonder if she knows David or who he is? If she does, where are the writers taking us? He's playing with fire.

Yes I will join those at the die Humberto die table.

Go back to the to the torture chamber or I'll die in poverty. What kind of father would say something even remotely like that? I know that it's a different culture in Mexico but that kind of attitude is hard to believe---although I admit to reading of far worse attitudes to daughters in other countries in the world. Still--
I'm pulling up a chair at the die Humberto table. Poverty? that's ok for this no good father.

Not as good as other novelas? I'm far from a movie expert but it's going well for me so I will leave with my line of---

must see tv
the gringo

Thank you Mauricio for an entertaining recap. I myself am liking this TN very much. I have no qualms with the acting, I just hope this next week it picks up pace. I can't bear watching Julia spending all her days in that huge home crying and cowering every time Helladio comes in. If she is to be the heroine I must root for then she needs to begin fighting back a bit.

As for Arturo, he seems honorable enough but we know now that he still loves Julia and so what's a TN without some stolen kisses and whispers of love that still burns?

I suspect Nina has her own secrets, perhaps a lover on the side? I get the feeling that something is up with Nina and Regina. Why does Nina favor Daniela so much over her other daughter. I suspect it's more than that Daniela is just like her mother.

Why is Erick so creepy w/his sister?

I am pulling up a chair at the table that wants the old gambling goat to die. How dare he guilt his daughter into making sure he is kept in the retirement lifestyle he desires. I hope he dies a miserable TN death. I hope soon too, that way Julia can tell Helladio to kick rocks and get on her merry way.

I hope Fabiola's characters remains likable in this TN. It would be refreshing to see her play someone to root for.

I already loathe that punk Joshua. He comes off a classless sneaky snob. If Regina marries him she's an idiot.

I think Arturo only thinks with one thing when it comes to his wife. He doesn't really know her because he's not really paying attention with his real brain.

I suspect that Nina's secret might be that she was a hooker in between her failed acting career and when she met Arturo. They met and got married in the US, which means that he most likely never met anyone who really knew her.

Nina Perez may not even be her name. Or she could have used another while hooking. She could still have been doing so while she was reeling him in. If we want to believe that Erick isn't his child that's how I would have written it.

I agree with those who are disappointed in this TN.
Good luck to all noble recappers and loyal fans who have pledged to stick with it.
I know you will make the best of it.

It is painful to watch the needless abuse being heaped upon SG.

And the weak excuse for not having DNA testing after 20+ years.
It's ridiculous There are any number of ways this could have been done.

The pace is also very slow moving. We are sophisticated audiences. We deserve much better.

This show is very depressing, to much abuse
For my taste. Not even the monkey writers
Can fix this. Maybe I'll come back to it when
The good guys can fight back.

Mauricio, thank you so much for your very fine recap. I love all the detailed lines and exchanges.

I must admit I have been a FC fan for a long time. It's because of him that I began watching TNs at all. But seeing him in this TN, at least for now, is leaving me in a quandry - I am definitely in a period of adjustment as far as his role is concerned. Then, too, the viciousness he's portraying is very difficult to watch, regardless of w ho's playing the part.
There is just too much abuse of women in these stories. His roles have always been as a lover of women so perhaps playing a villain is okay, but might be better in another context.

Susanna Gonzalez is just great and so is the rest of the cast. Jorge always knocks it out of the park, he's wonderful - really cuddly - hopefully, Nina will run off if
Eladio is successful in suing Jorge and his fortunes fall.

We should not shrink from stories like this. This kind of emotional abuse needs to be exposed, examined, and talked about because that is how people ultimately become angry enough to take action.

For many years in the US motherhood was such a sacred cow that one could never say anything negative about his/her mother. Nobody would believe any account of abuse. Now toxic parents are often discussed in public fora and we know that this happens at all the ranks of society. For every Hosefa there is an Ursula.

The same applies to marital abuse.

I spent four years in an emotionally abusive relationship and one of my friends endured this in the last years of her marriage. She almost re-entered an abusive relationship with an ex-boyfriend years after her divorce. What we see happening to Julia in this tale is very realistic: Victims question their own competence and even their own intelligence after years of being told they lack worth. This has to be so much worse when the abuser is wealthy because money becomes a weapon that can do more damage than a fist.

Getting off the podium. Back to our usual discussion.

I am sorry to hear that happened to you and your friend, Urban Anthropologist.

I agree that abuse should be brought to light and talked about instead of hidden away, and sometimes "entertainment" is the best way to begin that discussion.

The problem with abuse in P&P is that it's not a smart enough nor socially conscious enough novela, unlike YNCELH, to say anything worthwhile about abuse. I don't think it's going to bring anything new to the table except gratuitous violence.

Sorry to keep talking about YNCELH but that's a TN that has dealt with a lot of different current social issues with care, decency and realism. Something, to me, that P&P is lacking at this time.

What is YNCELH?

Urban, I'm sorry to hear that you and your friend went through that.

Variopinta, YNCELH is Yo No Creo En Los Hombres, the novela that airs at 10PM on Uni.

Thank you everyone for stopping by and for the great discussion. I am liking this one and looking forward to starting the second week of the show.

YNCELH- Yo No Creo En Los Hombres

I agree with you Superalfie. If this show wants to help combat abuse problems, they will have Julia get away from her abusing husband, with her son's help. Not waiting until the very end, or until he dies.

Yeah I'd love to see julia get away from this
Vivcious man before death is the only out for
Either one of them. Maybe he'll come to his sences and figure, he doesn't need to make
Her life a living hell because she does not love him. He can't be happy makin her life
Miserable. Nobody is happy in this situation
Where he prefer to believe david is not his son and wont do anything to prove his point. Nothing is gettin solved. So Whats the point? " Torture chamber" is the more perfect name for that house. House of Misery. I hope these dismal comments aren't turning other people away from watching the show cuz it really is a good show. The actors are really superb, but O my gosh it is so dark, there's lots of other stuff to talk about in this TN but that particular situation just sucks the life out of everything else.Thats the way I see it anyhow
Maybe I'll see what happens tonite. Maybe!!!

Mauricio I haven't gotten to read the comments yet but wanted to thank you before tonight's capitulo. So excited to continue to read your recaps post LI. Loved this one!
Thanks,
Rebecca

Superalfie, it's too early to call that.

Mexico is only four weeks ahead of us on this series. I'm sure that if those first viewers are concerned about this they're being vocal about it.

Yikes, all these characters are so tightly woven together. David's best bud Francisco works for ELOUDio, and Franconis threatening him about his job. I guess Gabiela is Julia's niece, but Franco seems to like her.

Is there any reason Nina is so determined for Regina to marry Joshua, or does she just want an elaborate wedding to plan ?

I wonder how much of the budget was shot for that scene on the yacht.

well, we will see what happens tonight. The lines are drawn between the good folks and the bad.

So many young and beautiful people on this show, I'm having a hard time remembering who's who.
