Yo No Creo En Los Hombres, Capitulo 88 Thu 11/12/15: Chelo for President!

Orlando fairly bursts into Josefa’s place, accusing her of using Isela’s keys to let thieves into his shop. They hurl some insults back and forth, specifically about knowing one’s mother, before Isela breaks it up. She claims she took the keys with her to Claudio’s office. In the next breath, she says Claudio had nothing to do with the robbery so unless Orlando’s going to bring charges against her, he should just leave. He says he's already filed charges, and let the chips fall where they may. After Orlando leaves, Josefa admits she did it. Isela hopes she gets caught and Josefa first says Isela would go down with her as an encubridora(=hider, concealer; in the context, as an accessory to the crime), then says Claudio wouldn’t allow it. Isela just looks at her with a clear disgust and walks away. Josefa doesn’t know what to make of her attitude shifts at all.

The indominable Doris bites the crap out of Ari’s lip. She tries to get past him, but he hauls her further into his apartment (though he doesn’t bother to close the front door). Did someone ask for Chelo to come in and beat him with a frying pan? Well a tennis racket is more readily available, so that’s what Chelo the Magnificant grabs when she comes flying in to see her niña being manhandled. She goes love-40 on his butt and he finally gets off Doris. "You're a good workout, but bien correteada (=promiscuous)." He insults her a bunch more and she whacks him a bunch more and then she and Nana Chelo bounce.

Ursula gleefully reports to her henchmen that Claudio’s working on Dan’s case, so her baby will be out soon! Speaking of babies, Susana interrupts to tell them that she’ll be carrying Ivana’s child.  Cue uproarious laughter from Jacinto and more discreet snickers from Ursula and Arango.

Now at the Morales house, Doris’s anger has subsided into sobbing. Chelo has filled them in on what that desalmado(=interestingly, though it literally looks like is means soulless, it's translated as cruel, heartless). MD expresses sympathy. "When one falls in love, se emboba" (=you're filled with so much admiration, it makes you forget the bad stuff; love is blind, basically)  Ari and Dan are just alike. Doris doesn’t want to tell Orlando because he specifically told her to let him handle it and she didn’t. MD advises her not to make the same mistakes she did in dealing with this, but Doris has the same fears: Orlando will beat Ari to a pulp over this. Chelo’s all for it (and so am I). If Orlando dumps her, she'll have to deal because she was atrabancada(=one who acts without thinking).

Jacinto continues cackling madly, though, sadly, he doesn’t choke on his laughter. Susana is offended, but everyone points out the obvious: she’s on the far side of her child-bearing years. She shares what she thinks is Ivana’s plan, all of them chalking Gerry’s involvement up to his getting a slice or all of Ivana’s fortune in return (money-grubbing lampreys can’t even fathom someone doing something like this out of love). Anyway, keeping her womb cold and empty has prompted Susana to side with Ursula; she wants her to get MD’s baby for Ivana. She proposes they work together, otherwise she’ll have no choice but to go through with the surrogacy.

Orlando's at Honoria’s house. Julian offers to lend him some money to get the shop back up and running since he needs the custom car to get to work. Isela shows up. Just then, Doris calls Orlando to ask what happened with the robbery. He says he’s on his way. Before he can leave though, he confronts Isela. She admits she was lying; Josefa knew where the keys were. She wants Orlando to press charges so that she can get Josefa locked up. (Whoever said that yesterday, looks like you were on the same page as the writers). Isela wants to ask Claudio for an advance on her salary (um...in what way are you still working for him? Because if it's what we've seen, that kind of makes you a-), which she will secretly give to Orly so that he can open up the shop. Orly’s against it. Isela says this robbery is not the only thing Josefa’s done and she thinks Claudio can help her put Josefa away for a good, long while.

Maleny visits Ivana at work. She probes Ivana to find out how Gerry is in bed. “You’ll never know because Gerry would never, never get with a flacucha(=pretty, skinny girl; Ivana says it like an insult, but it's usually an endearment) like you.” Ok, Mal sourly switches to her real reason for visiting. She wants Ivana to give up Medina’s secret. She reveals her plan to get MD's baby: Medina needs to become MD’s doctor, deliver the baby, and tell MD it’s stillborn so that he can turn it over to Ivana! (Classic TN baby plot, really.) She’s researched it (i.e. made inquiries at a hospital or watched Sombra, one of the two) and everything. Ursula is horrified. Not only does she think it’s a dumb plan, but she’d rather deal with Ursula, whom she thinks will get the baby by any means necessary, but will make it all legal in the end. Mal tries to convince her that will take forever, but she’s clearly getting desperate; she’s practically in tears. Ivana doesn’t change her mind, so glassy-eyed Mal storms out.

At Casa Morales, they try to figure out Isela’s motives and plans. MD thinks Isela really does care about Alma, but even she doesn’t trust her anymore. In any case, she needs some peace. (She claims) all this lying to Max is really bugging her. Everyone agrees what Isela says varies with the wind and that her being around Claudio is dangerous. Later, Doris guiltily tells an angry Orlando that she confronted Ari and he tried to kiss her. Chelo interjects: “He didn’t 'try'! He kissed you, he raised his hands against you and he insulted you! It’s true, Orlando! If I hadn’t come, who knows what he would’ve done!” Well, that does it! Orlando takes off after Ari, Doris at his heels begging him to stop and Chelo, Espy and MD following behind.

Isela calls Adrian to ask him to continue helping her research Marta’s case. Julian overhears and wants to know why. Didn’t they already check the facts and find that Claudio acted fairly? Well, now Isela wants Adrian to look at some newspapers from those days and the suicide note. Color Julian surprised.

Orlando bursts into Ari’s apartment, yelling about him disrespecting Doris. Ari has the nerve to come back with how Doris started it and then Chelo hit him. (Spitfire Chelo is like “yeah! And I’d do it again, so you learn to respect women!” Love this lady!) Ari continues spewing vitriol about Doris’s weight and how she’s only good for one thing until Orlando snaps and goes after his neck! He’s strangling Ari while the ladies scream until he suddenly hurls Ari away from him and plunges out the door. He’s paralyzed with tension and adrenaline and won’t even let Doris touch him for a second. She begs him to forgive her, but he’s practically vibrating with anger. He told her not to get involved! He was on the brink of murder! He plunges away again, furious in general, but clearly shocked at what he did. Doris sobs against the wall.

Jacinto meets with Susana at a restaurant. He says he's working for himself at this moment. He points out that if she does have Ivana’s baby, she’ll be mother to the sole heir to her empire.

Ursula visits Gerry at his office. They trade insults about what they’ve accomplished in life before Ursula says there’s no way he’ll be Ivana’s baby’s daddy. Ivana wants MD’s kid specifically, her baby’ half-sibling. “Yes. That and child of the imbecile that cheated on her,” Gerry points out. “The man who took her virginity and made her fall in love,” Ursula counters. (God, how delusional is this woman? She really thinks that despite his raping MD and his lies and betrayals, Dan’s so irresistible that both women could, should and will forgive him.) Rather than point out the whack in all this, Gerry asks why she’s there if she’s so confident. She just wanted to say how shocked she is that his ambition to get ahead outweighs the incredible sacrifice he’d have to make to sleep with Ivana. After all, women disgust him, particularly Ivana. Gerry says it wouldn’t be a sacrifice, but after her parting words, he slams the door and smoke practically comes out of his nose he’s breathing so angrily.

Jacinto continues that he’ll help Susana and they'll leave the Santibañez chiflando en la loma(=literally, whistling on the hill; basically "dangling in the wind". The idea is that ranch/farm hands would whistle because the distance on a spread isn't great for yelling. If no one answers, they're left waiting for a reply or help). She replies that she is planning to be the surrogate. But now she’ll tell Ursula about his offer. He laughs that Ursula already knows! Sour-faced Susan realizes she’s been played. Jacinto leaves, sticking her with the check.

Isela returns to the Bustamante house and makes excuses for Josefa. She tells them she doesn’t want Josefa to know that she knows; she wants to demonstrate to Josefa that even knowing Jo-jo’s not her bio-mom, she’ll still stick by her.

Doris is crying even harder than before. Chelo advises her to fight for her love. MD seconds that notion. Orlando must want a calm relationship now; he never got to have one between Josefa’s crazy and then Isela’s lies. (I include that last part because it seems so telling about her and Max.)

Isela explains that she’s the product of an affair. Leo asks his parents, sarcastically, if they’d ever do that to/for each other. He draws the parallels exactly: would Claudio bring a lover's child for Alma to raise and would she raise it? (There are musical exclamation points here and they zing right to the pit in my stomach. Oh Lord, is this a hint of things to come?) Alma supports Isela's decision to seek answers and hugs her.

The ladies sew and chat until Clara bounces in, happy because her cupcake money will allow to her buy a great dress for the wedding. They all go with MD to her wedding dress consultation.

Claudio offers to talk to Josefa, but Isela refuses. They both know Josefa will tell Alma about the affair if she suspects anything. Claudio wants to know why she came back to the house. Radio silence,

Jacinto reports back to Ursula that Ivana wants MD’s baby, so Ursula brushes off the Ivana/Gerry baby-making plan.

Prisoners shove Victor into Dan’s cell. Dan’s laying on the ground, totally out of it. “What’s wrong with him?!” Victor demands. (For a second I thought they had raped him, but they said they drugged him).

Josefa visits Claudio at his office to get help against Oralndo’s coming charges.

The ladies, including Alma and Isela gather for the dress fitting.  Claudio calls Isela to find out what’s up with Josefa’s situation. She asks him not to give Josefa money to buy back Orlando’s things and then has to rejoin the wedding party. Josefa returns and Claudio tells her he’ll give her the money.

MD wants a simple, classic gown. Clara points out her skills with design when the employee says she has good taste.

Jenny’s done her research. There are lots of things to help the paralyzed have sex and it doesn’t mean they’re infertile. “So would you be willing to have Julian’s children?” Honoria asks, ecstatically. She apologizes immediately. Jenny reminds her that Julian looks at her like a sister; he told her clearly he hoped her children would look at him like an uncle. They’re both bummed out by that.

Victor reports that Dan couldn’t call her because he was drugged up. Ursela is slack-jawed in shock.

MD tries on wedding dresses and everyone else comments. Happy times.

Claudio reports to Ivana. He might be able to get Dan’s friend out since he and his accomplice can't both be tried for the same murder, but Max could still press charges for violent assault, though they can bail him out of those charges. “What about Daniel?” Ursula insists impatiently. “He gets out tomorrow” Claudio answers.

THE END

Thank you Hellashelle. Things happened so fast and twisted I couldn't keep up, missing important stuff.

"She goes love-40 on his butt"

"(She claims) all this lying to Max is really bugging her"

Seems everybody's plans resume day after Christmas

Not only will Claudio get Daniel released but the guy that stabbed his son

Loved the look on Claudio's face when Leo blurted out the sarcastic remark about Alma raising Claudio's lovers child

Ari is a punk but he is not Daniel

Twisted as it was, the scene when Susana came to the Santibáñez, incredible

Make Orlando disappear, would this TN kill him?

Brilliant, Hellashelle! This tn is like Game of Thrones with all the changing allegiances and the quest for the power and money.

The scene with Susana and Ursula's gang was malicious and funny. Even Isidro was stifling a laugh. But stupid Susana only succeeded in showing them that she and Gerry are no threat, since Susana has no desire or intention of being a surrogate.

I loved your description of Orly's emotions after he nearly killed Ari. Adrenaline, anger, and horror all at the same time. Yeah, it was NOT a good time to try to talk with him. Especially after the day he's been having with his shop/livelihood being destroyed. He needs some time to clear his head and cool off. Let's hope Ari doesn't press charges like Dan did with Max.

Tofie- It is not hard to believe that Josefa or even Claudio would pay to get rid of Orly permanently.

Loved Leo's blunt honesty during the scene when Isela tried to spin her tale of why she isn't telling Josefa she knows she isn't her daughter. Girl...that don't make no damn sense.

Blunt honesty we lack but it is the very people that are made that way everyone tries to shush.

Leo, Clara and Doris know Isela isn't and hasn't been straight up. The fools Orlando and MD bending over backward will get them and a lot of other people hurt. It's horrible but guess deserved if Orlando is harmed after again saving Isela, who doesn't want to be saved.

No one we know well has been killed, though stabbed, beat, raped, jailed, crippled, cleaned out, burned out and thrown out. Claudio and Josefa on the warpath scare me

Tofie- Orly doesn't seem bent on saving Isela this episode. In fact, after seeing her performance with Jo, then hearing her confession about the keys, he looked done. He just walked right on out in the middle of her explaining her plan.

Good work, Hellashelle! Loved the "does love-40 on his butt". Ari deserved that and much more of the same.

Hosefa deserves to spend the next 20 years in the slammer just for what we know about. How does that work in Mexico? Does a criminal's sentence hang only on the most serious charge or are the sentences added together as they theoretically are here?

I forgot this, but does Isela know that Hosefa is the one who tried to kill Leo?

Finally (for now) since we don't have any empirical evidence that Gerry is gay why are Maleny and Ursula assuming he is? They talk like they know.

Ok, I tried to clean it up some.

Yeah, Isela's lost a lot of ground, even without admitting how she's been two-facedly betraying MD. No one fully trusts her, though MD, of course, will give her the most benefit of the doubt. But even she said she wants to keep eyes on her.

Yeah, Josefa admitted to Isela that she almost killed Leo, but there's no evidence. I'd forgotten about that; it was the first big whack the mother-daughter team delivered to Orly, though that wasn't the original intent.

UA - I also find it interesting that while many people on the show have now strongly indicated he is, no one has actually said that he's gay. Why not? Are they gonna pull a last minute "gotcha!" out of the hat? Or are they just trying to be subtle?

Agree Orlando put Isela on notice he didn't trust her but she attempted to play him again as he went out the door, like hey bud we're still trying to fool Josefa. Everyone at Honorias' and then at Espy's went around the room trying to compare stories she had told with the consensus Isela lied or told truth depending on time of day and to whom she spoke. I think Orlando gets it, hope he does, but despite MD hearing all this she thinks if she can monitor Isela she can manage her.

I think Gerry is gay but that doesn't mean he cannot deeply love and want a life and family with Ivana because she is female.

A show that speaks so openly about erectile dysfunction, sexual aids for the disabled, and the morning after pill, doesn't seem like it would be squeamish about saying the word gay, or any of the many slurs for gay that are casually thrown around even in Mexican family/comedy telenovelas. For whatever reason (he's gay, he's asexual; they just aren't attracted to each other that way), the writers have made the love story between Ivana and Gerry a platonic one. But one that is as deep and complex, and full of disagreements and true moments of tenderness, as any of our other relationships in this tn.

Ok, I went back to add in some of the great vocab from last night and it turns out Jacinto does actually call Gerry gay. So there's that.

Anyway, they drew some direct parallels from Doris to Maria Dolores last night. Thankfully, Doris did come clean, and immediately so. Though ideally he would've given her more support after she was assaulted, once he calms down, we're sure to get some mutual forgiveness. Hopefully, MD will soon come clean with Max as well.

Max will be so pissed when his attacker is out again. I hope he's done with going after Julian.

Where, oh where, is Corina?

How interesting that Ari has been hurling insults at Doris about the two things he actually loved about her and made him so attracted to her-- her size, and her sexual prowess. Espy was right that he's just spewing this crap, precisely because it hurts his pride that she left him. It has nothing to do with any (perceived) fault/flaws in Doris.

I had a little problem with MD giving advise to Doris. Yes, some parallels but not the same. Doris gets a good talking to for not coming clean and MD the poster child wags her finger.

If everyone was really concerned for Alma they would get Isela away from her

Isela is less of a danger to Alma now than Hosefa is. That's why I said yesterday that somebody has to get Hosefa arrested to keep her trap shut.

Which makes me think of a great Karmageddon for her.....

Great recap Hellashelle. I had to reference it many times as I watched in order to truly understand what was happening. Thank you very much.

I'm betting on Isela being so angry at Josefa that she has a plan that will put her in jail forever. But she has to play her part like a Stradivarius because she has so many fine lines she has to walk in order to do it.

If Claudio really does get Dan out of jail, I can't see his family ever forgiving him if they find out. Ever. We know that Dan will do some real damage once he's free. And would Claudio really hurt Orlando? No, I don't think so.

Cathyx- Well, Claudio DID have his police buddies beat Orly nearly to death before. So hurting him, he's capable of. Killing him? I don't think he would give the order or plot openly to do it. Would he give Josefa money and go along with her vague plans to "get rid of" Orly, and later pretend he didn't really know that Josefa meant get rid of him in a "permanent" way? Well...

Thanks, Hellashelle. Great recap. She goes love-40 on his butt -- too funny.

I'm finding it realistic that harpies like Maleny, Ursula, and Susana would talk about Gerry derisively when it suits them, while to Ivana and practically everyone else Gerry's sexual status -- whatever it is -- is a non-issue. But Ivana and Gerry are so close, it does seem like she would ask him about his love life sometime instead of the focus always being on her. For me, Gerry is just too hunky to be celibate. Somebody should be hitting on this man!

Espy sounded like the voice of Viewerville with all her good advice to MD to tell Max.

MD gives Doris good advice that she doesn't heed herself.

I wonder why they have never shown Jerry with another guy, even if he was just having dinner with or talking to him, to give us some indication that he is truly gay. Not even a mention of name of someone.

I think Josefa's deal is perfect for Claudio. Give her some money and the problem goes away and I don't get my hands dirty since I didn't suggest it. If he's dead so what.

As damning as Dan's release is, the release of a guy with a grudge against Max for jailing him for murder first and now for attempted murder when Max was stabbed. Tell ya, Isela must be one helluva lay. After the exchange between Isela and Claudio in "her room" both know why Isela is back and why Claudio intends to keep her there.

Cathyx, I think the writers wanted to leave themselves the option of making him hetero or asexual later on. Making him gay from the outset would have completely negated any possibility of romance with Ivana, which would have been a good contrast to Ari/Doris because Gerry is honorable.

We didn't know until recently that Doris comes from money. This could be a nice double revelation.

It may be too early (but not much) for this but Ivana needs to get over her desire to have MD's baby. She needs to get over it enough to sit down with Gerry, MD, and Max to plan how to protect that infant from Ursula. She knows that Ursula is somehow behind the death of Hector and that she tried to kill her on the day she married Scuzzy Santibanez. That's only a short leap to realizing that her life would be in danger again if Ursula ever got her hands on the baby.

She also might not realize that Susanna is working against her. She needs to get rid of her (as she should have done ages ago) and that now would be for Susanna's own good as well. Because she is another obstacle to Ursula, who would have no qualms about killing her, too.

I think anyone that hinders snatching the child and fortune away from Ursula has a target on their back. Susana is an idiot deciding to play in rush hour traffic. I think Ivana should have bought Susana an apartment somewhere, given her a stipend and washed her hands of her long ago. Too much bad blood.

I worry most Usurla takes the Gerry option serious again. Right now they are laughing, when they stop Gerry may be dead. It's probably my own wishful thinking, wanting to like good Ivana and freak when I see bad Ivana, good Ivana is playing bad Ivana and intends to quadruple cross Ursula.

Maleny has completely lost touch with reality.

Tofie, that's a perfect statement about Susanna. She has no clue what she's walking into.

I do think that Ivana is looking to foil Ursula but we've not really been let in on the plan. She should have lawyers working round the clock to keep Danny-Boy in the Big House so he can't hurt anyone else again. She should be digging up more dirt on Ursula.

MD and Max should get out of the country until all that is locked down, but knowing TN rules they wouldn't. Max would want to be involved and MD won't run on principle. Both may also fear for their families as well.

UA - We don't actually know that Doris's family has money; so far we're just hoping. A lot.

MD is excellent at compartmentalizing. When advising Doris, she basically recognizes that she should have let Max at least help take care of Dan and certianly shouldn't have tried to tke him on herself AND that she should have told Max about her own rape. Yet, somehow, she doesn't see that she's doing it again with Isela and Claudio's affair. Se emboba again because she loves her childhood friend. Still think they should up the Max/MD alone time, if only to help sell all of this.

Vivi - I agree abt Ari. He's just trying to downplay Doris's awesomeness by badmouthing what he once loved.

If not for them shopping for a wedding dress it doesn't seem they are in a relationship. Max a good family friend and future brother in law but not much else. I understand why they haven't jumped in the sack and yes they have had a few kisses in front of family and friends but not a couple about to marry and set up domicile. Even when Espy told them to sit down and plan their marriage and honeymoon they spoke of Alma and Isela. I'm still where I was before and MD doesn't seem that into the guy romantically.

Wonder if Max will be able to find out how the guy that stabbed him got out of jail or will he not know until they attack him or Julian again.

This tn should have been called Obsession y Poder, or Las Mujeres Mienten a Sus Hombres 100% del Tiempo--Except for Clara.

Thank you very much, Hellashelle. The Love-40 went right by me since I don't do tennis, but when I got it, it was truly hysterical (yep, I laughed).

I don't know what to make of Chelita. She comes from a small pueblo, old enough to have outmoded attitudes, but speaks very modern truths (not quite all the time) but enough for me to join the chorus--Go Girl!

tofie--You said in one sentence (about Gerry) what it took me a whole paragraph to delineate yesterday. I wish I could condense my thoughts so precisely as you.

Vivi--Agree--there has been so much discussion with details of intimate behaviors involving sex that I've even been surprised by the frankness. The writers' have to be playing with us or they are getting REAL on us. Here we have an adult conversation between two people of using an egg donor, sperm, artificial insemination and a surrogate uterus?

It's obviously not a first, but in Cuando Seas Mia, Diego's ED and poor Alonzo not being able to perform with Camila in Amor Bravio, these instances were used as a tn trope to drive the plot forward. OK, I concede, this one is, too, but somehow, it feels different.

Alonzo had serious Mommy issues and Julian could be having actual medical issues, poor fellow. For all his fixation on MD Julian is mentally more together than Alonzo ever was. Or Danny-Boy is.

And for those who didn't see Amor Bravio, Flavio Medina was Alonzo. So he's impotent in AB and a rapist in this one. Both with serious Mommy issues and sociopathic mother figures. Wonder how he feels about that.

This story gets wilder by the minute.

UA--Flavio was also a manipulator-rapist with Mommy issues in Quiero Amarte. Think he's typecast? Or maybe they come to him and he writes his part in the script to be worse than anyone can imagine. This role in YoNo is his best as the worst character I've watched. He's relentless.

Has he been a good guy since Alma de Hierro? (Claudio was in that too)

The lack of scenes between MD and Max strikes me as weird and a big blindspot for the writing team, especially since they've worked so hard to flesh out other relationships and characters. They've left Max more or less a strong sketch. While he does have a clear characterization, they didn't given him nearly as much detail as they've given other characters, imo; for example, Isela's far more of a main character than he is.

I think it makes more sense if I don't think of it as a romance, just a drama.

UA--Do you remember how we all speculated on whether Rogelio (JS) could or could not have relations with Ana Paula, being paralyzed from the waist down? Then when it happened, viewerville only got a "Yes he could" from AP. He told her he would never be able to have children with her, though. That was it.

Preciosa Perla (a Brazilian tn on Telemundo) dealt with a WWII returning soldier's paralysis from the waist down. Luckily for him it was temporary and the therapy he got was effective (exercises and an energetic, optimistic partner). And...for the viewer, the more realistic scene of getting him up and using parallel bars to keep him upright and begin to retrain his nerves to take steps. No standing him up and making him hold his own weight up the way they did in LQNPA.

If the script discussing Julian's reproductive options, and Ivana's are a not-so-subtle PSA, then it's very well done. If not, it's still very well done and as I said earlier, maybe this is a new frankness we can look forward to in Mexican tns.

Now, if they could only get the legal-justice-prison systems right, I'd be very content. (Did anyone see a segment not too long ago --60 min. or a like show-- about an American who is in a Mexican prison still waiting for his case to be heard? It's going on 3 years now. He was allowed to video record his thoughts and sights over some time and we saw his cell. It had a window to the courtyard, potted plants, a private cell, doors open during the day, individual touches to the furnishings, much like Daniel's criminal buddies, and not at all like poor Caridad on PyP, spending 20 years in an open cell under lock and key.)

Doris' family had enough money for her to have a nanny. That doesn't necessarily mean filthy rich, but certainly a lot better off than the people she's living amongst now.

I was all set a couple days ago to defend Susanna. Well, not defend her exactly, but she wasn't so bad compared to others here. And I thought she might actually be coming around. Turns out, she's still stupid. She really would be better off accepting the surrogacy proposal of Ivana's. She has nothing else going on in her life, and even if Ivana laughs and rejects her, she'd come out looking good. If she's going to protect her lifestyle, which seems to be how she makes all her decisions, she's going to have to be smarter. Siding with Ursula is not smart.

Maleny, et al, are probably making the same assumption about Gerry that we did: A man in fashion who isn't molesting all his female employees must be gay. It's not a terrible assumption (speaking as a former interior designer). But either way, the novela breaks with stereotypes. He's a non-gay fashionista (fashionisto?) or a non-flaming gay guy. Good for the novela. After the towel scene, for Ivana's sake, I'm hoping for straight.

Kelly

Kelly- Maleny is hoping for the same thing, for HER sake, after seeing him in a towel. It's pretty funny how even in the midst of her frantic quest to get proof about her father's death, she still made time to lust after a man.

What I have never been clear on is how old Maleny and Daniel are supposed to be. We can surmise that she was about 7 when their father was murdered but we still don't know how long ago that was. Daniel is older, but I don't think he's meant to be much older. I doubt he's meant to be Flavio Medina's real age (37, and he's an Aires). BTW, Sophie Alexander is also 37.

What could be more important is their ages at the time of the murder and how vulnerable it made them into puppets for Mama Bear.

Thank you Hellashelle, good recap. Has anyone bothered to ask julian why he don't
Want to have children instead of trying to find ways for him to have sex and get some
One pregnant? He may not want to pass the gene Onto anyone else. Wasn't it honoria that he Got it from. I know they mean well, but they Should really think about talkin to him. Find Out what he wanta to do. Or did I miss something? Im just sayin.
Now, why does ivana want any child that had
That rappest genes? That child would have a
Better chance with max as the daddy and the
Judge & alma ( tho she wont be around much longer, and the judge is no prise either)
as grand parents. Thats better than having
The grandma from hell vomiting poison on
The child on birthdays, christmases, and just
Being on the same planet (Urrsula).
Ok, enough harshness. Wedding dress huntin
Is fun. MD likes simple styling, but elegance.
I liked the top of the dress, below that its kind
Of to wide for my taste. But this is her choice
Her dress, shes happy with it. Somebody need to tell those mothers and friends that on 'Say yes to the dress". They make those
Brides cry on that show, and I find myself
Yellin out "you not going to be wearing that dress, you should have left them home". But
I guess its fun havin other peoples opinions.
But somebody had fun last night.
Gerry would make a good dad. He'd teally love that child, cuz he loves ivana. He'd make
A good husband to ivana to if she'd just stop obsessing over having a sibling to her first child that didn't survive. that should tell her right there she don't need to have any more children from the Santabenasty family.
And that was not ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ a typo.
Yall have a nice chilly weekend. Im lovin this
Weather.
Thanks again hellashelle!!!! :-)

Thanks to all the recappers. I have been so bust, i havent read all recaps or comments, just grab an eyeful when I get a moment.

I just needed to say, apologies if anyone already shared the same sentiments. But I dont think Gerry is gay. I think he has been in love w Ivana for a long time. He is a romantic and if cant have her, he don't want nobody. He is in fashion, wears scarves, a little effeminate, not too. However, there are men who are effeminate, but are not gay. Bi??? Maybe?? Since being gay, bi, or in between is now very "in." Okay, IMHO, I think Ivana could have happy physical marriage with him. There I said it. Can't wait to have recap and comment reading marathon. Thanks again to all, you make this blog wonderful!!!!

Nina, lol. That is so fitting. We never saw Hector, but maybe, hopefully he was only "normal" and not nasty in the family. Probably reason he ended up murdered! Wouldnt doubt that ursala lied to Hector that they were broke, so he could do the "right thing" blowing his own brains out, for his family so they could get insurance money.
She is sociopath, feels no remorse committing murder for money.
