Antes Muerta Que Lichita #68 Tuesday 12/29/15: A boring presentation and then MURDER MOST FOUL

Beto and Gumaro get a look at the account books and continue to suspect money laundering, but Draco catches them and throws them out before they can figure anything out.

Luci's parents give Beto the business for having a secret kid. Luci is still pissed that Beto won't have sex with her.

Alicia makes a big presentation on her work on Oki-Oki... It takes up a lot of the show, what with her presentation and the jerks she works with cutting the power to the building to mess her up. Amusingly, when Luci goes to congratulate Nestor for cutting the power, he says he didn't do it - it was lucky chance! Luci takes it as a sign that God is on her side and sings "hallelujah."

Everyone's using their phones as flashlights and inadvertently shining them in peoples' eyes.

Augusto's brother finds out Augusto has been cheating him on the sale of the mansion in Argentina. They have a showdown, and Augusto reveals that he's always held a grudge since they were kids together. Rafael apologizes, but Augusto says he'll absolutely never forgive.

Gumaro is sent by the maintenance to fix the power in the presentation place where everyone is! He thinks it'll be cool to see everyone, but Beto chases him out, scared more people will find out about him. Rafael continues to be repentant and convincing, but Augusto keeps hammering on him. He lets him know that Luciana isn't even his daughter (showing him the test results he had done on Luci's hair), which sends Rafael into a heart attack! Augusto holds onto the pills his brother needs, instead of hading them over, and watches as Rafael dies. Yow.

Wow, thanks Ezra this was a doozy.

Augusto also told Rafael he was the one that orchestrated the business scam that caused Rafael to lose everything and Augusto has the money. It was heart breaking when Rafael found out the wife he believed always had his back no only cheated on him with his brother but bore him a daughter. I want to know why she did this to Rafael. Losing the money didn't kill him the betrayal did.

I screamed the whole time when Roberto was in Alicia's face spinning his sweet talk crappy promises. Oh, one day you'll know when I tell you the whole truth but not today.

FELS did get a lot of action for the villains including a murder scene that many thought the most perverse to date (2008).

OT but important for a future weekend discussion
There are a few Televisa novelas that I've missed in the last couple of years and it's almost time for another toxic mothers gallery. If there were any in the following series, will someone please e-mail me the stats so I can assemble one for a few weeks from now:

Lo Imperdonable
La Malquerida
Quiero Amarte
Que Te Perdone Dios (I know this had one)

The stats should follow the pattern in the original gallery of toxic mothers.

Thanks as always Ezra

Wow! Last episode I wrote that it will be good to see the big guy go down---and after last night, I really want Agusto to fall. That bastard. He is now guilty of murder along with a long list of other things.

Who turned out the lights?

One thing that I have noticed lately. I know that no one on the patio likes or cares about Magos, but she is working and helping out her mother and father at their coffee shop. Can anyone at least give her credit for that?

I'll be watching this---must see tv.

I am usually unfazed by all the goings on in Telenovelas, but the death of Rafael was very upsetting to watch. What an actor!!

Hello and happy new year everyone!!!! Thanks to all of the wonderful recappers for taking the time out of your holidays to post the recaps!!!! I've been catching up on the episodes. My mom got rid of her cable and I've been having a hard time catching up online.

I think Augie said that he had the lights go out bec he wanted to get with Alicia. Glad his creepy plan was foiled but I couldn't believe he would let his brother die! And him dying hearing all of the bad and none of the good. He may have been awful as a young man but no doubt he made a 180 turnaround. I fear Dafnes reaction the most.

Gunaro kissing Luci and her liking it was a highlight. I dislike her so but feel bad for her when Rob pushes her away.

Is Alicia's marketing plan for her family's biz ever going to happen? Before they have to close financially? Girl get it together!

Thanks, Ezra. Terrific title.

Carvivlie - Nice to see you back! Luciana and Gumaro kissing was a highlight for me too.

Another highlight was Alicia and Daphne chummy together again.

I'm counting on somebody coming in and giving Rafael his pills and CPR.

Thanks, Ezra!

Great episode!

Never expected to see the "mommy and daddy loved you best" plot line end in a murder.

I love whenever Luciana fills in dead air with "Sha la la, Sha la la". Makes me laugh.

Niecie, it would be wondrous if Gabriel did not die and would have a chance to fight back against Augusto and identify Valeria for being the cheat she is.

Ezra, just read this.

You are a fine writer with a marvelous sense of humor and a succinct style that encompasses all the facts.

I am speechless. I knew Augusto was horrid but didn't think he was a murderer. He makes my skin crawl.
