Muchacha Italiana Viene A Casarse #72 Thu 12/3/15 (Mex 101) The things we do for love
Fi's latest argument with Gianluca ends with a demand that he never kiss her again. Boo!
Ramiro gets all dressed up and goes to La Dolce Vita to check out Diana…and he makes it clear to Domingo that he is, indeed, checking out Diana (busy flirting with Vitto). Vitto even wanders over, giving Ramiro the chance to say that the meal is excellent, and oh by the way, that woman over there is his neighbor who he has the hots for. She doesn't know they're neighbors but he watches her all the time…with her son. Well, Vitto is convinced Beto is her nephew, so that gets Ramiro nowhere. He breaks it to Ramiro that Diana's spoken for…ohh, not by him! He's an honorable lech…er, leech…er, man who's about to get married. Fake-sad Ramiro asks for the check.
When Ben goes to talk to Eloisa, she's fresh from a shower, silver locks flowing, be-robed. Well, she did say "come in"…she just wasn't expecting Benito on the other side of that door! He plights his troth and Eloisa sighs and says if he wants his job back so he can see Rox, then he can have his job back, and he can see Rox, but it's all looky and no touchy. And he'll be a stablehand. If he's sooooo in love, he'll take the deal, right? He takes the deal and Eloisa gets a hearty laugh at the idea that he'll be begging to quit soon enough. Idiom for this scene: she calls Benito a "cabeza de alcornoque," literally "head of cork oak" which means she thinks he's a fool .
Stupid Pedro is stupid. He thinks Fi's a gold digging ho now. And then he drinks and screams at her that she's a liar and a hypocrite and he's going to forget her.
Aitana's parents are pleased with their hairy little asset's progress, but remind her that to level up she needs to get knocked up.
Os supervises the installation of seekrit cameras at Acorp and catches Dante skulking around Pedro's office. "Oh, you told me to check every corner and make sure the entire office was covered. Also, I'm checking that there aren't any devices installed here already." Os, being Os, buys this.
Simona's date that she mentioned in the last episode seems to be going well (that's right, my homegirl's got game!), and she's not home in time to serve dinner. Gianna offers to help her serve. Everyone but El and Pedro are at the table, giving Gael and Rox a hard time for "dating." They're really bizarrely insistent that Gael and Rox kiss in front of them. Fed says they're trying to fake out Eloisa and she and Sonia insist on a better kiss. Rox takes the lead, but she looks disturbed. Frankly, I was disturbed!
Julietta is worrying about how her daughter will take finding out about her birth parents, but Sergio is too busy making pointed remarks about Santino. He backs off when he sees how upset she is. He asks why Julietta never looked for her daughter before, or even mentioned a daughter to him. Basically, the general shakeup in her routine, including seeing and hearing a couple of Italian girls running around the place--especially Fi, who is her daughter's age--just stirred things up for her.
Fi is baffled by Pedro's ill treatment. And Gi is SICK of it! Pedro this, Pedro that, I love Pedro, I hate Pedro, I love him, I hate him, he loves Aitana, I'm marrying Vitto…the world doesn't revolve around you and your wedding! You've love Pedro, you insist on marrying Vitto, Gianluca shows up and offers you the moon and stars and you reject him! Ohhhhh, you made a promise…you said everything would be better in Mexico, but every day it's getting worse. Fi asks what happened with Gael. "I have to be part of a circus now. But hey, don’t worry about me. You worry about your monkeys and your circus and I'll worry about mine."
Gael comes to Rox's room to apologize for what happened. Rox says a kiss is nothing and it's already forgotten, but she's upset and putting up her walls.
Pedro drinks some more and complains to Fidel. Has he been in there drinking all night? He wants to go tell Vitto that Fi's a gold-digging skank. Because he's old and sick. Fidel says that might be a good reason NOT to tell him. So Pedro decides to talk to Gianluca.
Dante brought some papers home to Fed and she crows about how it's all going to be hers…HERS! Yeah, knowing her reading comprehension skills those papers could be bills for the cleaning service, invoices for office supplies, and memos about the proper way to fill out an expense report.
It's FINALLY the next day…the day the merger goes through, the day Julietta and Santino get the news about their daughter, the day after Simona's hot date. Just saying. More mocking of Rox and Gael in front of Eloisa. Ew…Fed calls them "primos con libertades" (cousins with benefits). Eloisa tells them to cool it. Rox whines that El won't let her have the chauffer, she won't let her have Gael, what's she supposed to do, become a nun? "Please, set one foot in the church and you'd burst into flames." She's already told them once before she doesn't want them near each other. Pedro tuned the whole thing out and runs from the table as soon as he can. Simona and her happy sequinned disco earrings tell Os that he has visitors.
Gianna and Fi are yelling at each other and Benito over breakfast. He is determined to be happy and not let anyone ruin his day. Yet another bout of griping from Joaquina that Benito dismisses with a smile. Fi thinks Fidel and Joaquina have a thing going on…and Gi completely loses her cool and screams at Fi one last time before leaving the table in a huff.
Os' visitor is Benigno. He's there with flowers for Eloisa. And to make sure that Os is going to back off now that he has what he wants. Well, he's not going to ruin the wedding, but he wants to be president of Acorp. Benigno is willing to discuss it, when the time comes. Sorry, dude, but you paid off a blackmailer. This is what happens. Os goes to summon Eloisa and Benigo texts his wife something that starts with "My love, prepare yourself…."
Diana is furious that even catching Fi smooching Gianluca wasn't enough to turn Vitto off. But she's got another "carta" (card, but also letter) up her sleeve that she can use to stop the wedding.
Dante shows the papers to a lawyer, but he won't give an opinion stronger than "I hope it helps, when we add it to the previous paperwork." Dante reminds him money is no object. Fed wants what she wants.
Gianna is grumpy with Gael after that kiss at the dinner table. He says he didn't enjoy that kiss either…. Off in the stables, Rox is making the same argument to Benito…. Gael promises no more kisses, for Rox. But he's happy to lay one on Gi. She says the only thing that makes her happy is being with him, even if they have to hide. Viewerville heartily agrees!.... Rox offers Benito some smooches of his own and that's going just fine until he sees Dante approaching and throws Rox into the hay. He babbles to Dante about a sick horse to convince him not to go into the stall where Rox is hiding. As soon as Dante is gone, he rushes to pull Rox out of the hay. She reminds him that next time she can pull rank on Dante, duh! She doesn't have to go for a solo roll in the hay! They smooch.
At Acorp, papers are signed. Pedro is absent. Aitana is worried. Benigno looks confident. Os and Sonia are glowing. Fed is smarmy as usual. Benigno is looking for his phone, but can't find it.
Vitto goes to the ranch to give Fi a pre-wedding gift. And discuss where Gianna will live. Fi wants her to stay at the ranch, because the air, blah, blah, blah. Vitto bought a place in Dos Rios and is fixing up a room for Gianna's medical care. He's thrilled that for once he's left Fi speechless. She says it's all too much. "Oh, but I need the fresh air too, for my final days."
Pedro is at La Dolce Vita looking for Gianluca. It's wine glasses at high noon! Pedro confronts Gianluca about how he and Fi are deceiving Vitto. Gianluca is confused, and then belligerent, and it all ends in a face-to-face shot that gives us a chance to compare scruffy jaw lines. Pedro's is better. Sorry G. But Pedro's a weenie, so you win anyway.
(Friday's episode is being pre-empted by the Telethon.)

Can these people get any more spiteful? Helloisa's "punishment" for Benito is ridiculous, but I don't think it's going to stop him. Good, bad, or otherwise, he's still stuck on Rox.
It looks like Ramiro would make a good private eye, but his jail time could prevent him getting a license.
As for Fiorella being adopted, I don't see how Diana thinks that works to her own advantage unless she uses this to blackmail Vittorio. Which would be dumb.
Clearly, given that it's Diana, I'm overthinking this.
Read.
Eloisa calls benny a"head of cork oak", in other words a fool, in her thinkin. Well he's
In line behind her, who is the biggest. And then pedeyboy, with his goodlookin stupid
Self. he walked in at the tail end of a jealous conversation, jackass. He crys pretty, and
When he's being stupid he's pretty too. But
Being dumb are not pretty. He really needs to cut it out. I suppose if lady di gets desperate enough she'll pull out that letter and give it to whoever it will matter to most. That would be
Fi. And then she could bust the old geezer.
"rox takes the lead, but looks disturbed. frankly, I'm disturbed." Well Im thinkin the
Whole family is disturbed.
Tonight should be a whopper. Thanks again
La diva.
It seems odd that everyone has to stay in that house until Elo’s will is written.
Ah, Gianna, the voice of reason that Fi refuses to hear.
"Please, set one foot in the church and you'd burst into flames." Okay. That WAS funny, even it Hell-oisa said it.
Benigno's misplaced phone seemed like some sort of “plot alert.”
Diana is not the brightest bulb on the string, but as long as her machinations can stop the wedding, it’s all good.
Nina --- "rox takes the lead, but looks disturbed. frankly, I'm disturbed." Well I’m thinkin the
Whole family is disturbed. Words of wisdom and so true! (and I was disturbed by that, too)
Does Joaquina know about this (fake) relationship between Rox and Gael? If so, why isn't she making a fuss, being that she thinks Rox is Gael's aunt?
"Aitana's parents are pleased with their hairy little asset's progress"
"Pedro's is better. Sorry G. But Pedro's a weenie, so you win anyway"
Thank you Gianna, you told Fifi what I've wanted foooooooorrrrrever
Vivi you are right, Joaquina should stop the macking between Gael and Rox. Wait till Gael finds out about his hot aunt, oh boy.
I guess when Petey goes off on guys, huffing and puffing defending Fifi, it's spose to reaffirm he protects her interest but it reminds me of a boy, knowing he cannot beat the bully, shoves a first grader.
Like Tofie, I was cheering with Gianna last night when she said she was sick of all this talking and waffling back and forth on Pedro. WE ALL ARE, GIANNA, WE ALL ARE!
Not only is Pedro a weenie, he's a dumb weenie. And Fiorella is a principled dummie. And honestly, Julieta does not seem the brightest bulb either.
We have a lot of good-looking people boring the bejesus out of us. Thank goodness the recaps continue to be brilliant. Thanks Diva.
I will happily "miss" this one tonight and watch an old episode of Teresa instead.
Stupid Pedro is stupid. He thinks Fi's a gold digging ho now. And then he drinks and screams at her that she's a liar and a hypocrite and he's going to forget her.
Lordy, I knew Pedro was going to be pissed but he took pissivity to a whole new level. What a dumbass he is! Gosh, I get so tired of the partially overheard conversation, the bad part which would have totally been taken differently if the eavesdropper had stayed for even one second longer! GAHH! The idiot even "man handled" her! WTF! I hope Gianluca cleans his clock on Monday!
Aitana's parents are pleased with their hairy little asset's progress, but remind her that to level up she needs to get knocked up. "Hairy little asset" hee hee! Man, at what age did they start pimping out their princess? Sheesh!
Re the forced kiss between Gael and Roxi, that was all kinds of creepy. So they're vultures, sadists, snoops and now voyeurs. What a bunch of sickos! Frankly, I was disturbed, too!
And Gi is SICK of it! YES!!! Gigi has been reading the blog! She even repeated the main concept of my Wednesday recap: that Fifi is obsessed with Vitto! Thank goodness somebody besides us noticed this!
At Acorp, papers are signed. Pedro is absent. Aitana is worried. Benigno looks confident. Os and Sonia are glowing. Fed is smarmy as usual. Benigno is looking for his phone, but can't find it.
Soooo. Who's got Benigno's phone and what is the text his wife was sending him? Could this lead to tearing down the de la Riva Palma playhouse? They are being taken to the cleaners!
Thank you, Diva!
This family is messed up. The kissing cousins was way over the top. I know it's culturally accepted in some states and countries, but it still freaks me out. All the idiots were goading them on. Helloisa is just mean. She probably thinks her meanness is a deterrent. Wonder how that's working for her. Santino is delicious. Love how he put Fed in her place. Want to see more of him.
Hanna
Even I am getting tired of Pietro's stupidity, there's only so much one can stare into those eyes when there's garbage coming out the mouth
Vivi's right " Does Joaquina know about this (fake) relationship between Rox and Gael? If so, why isn't she making a fuss, being that she thinks Rox is Gael's aunt?" Quina should be freaking out about that.
Unless she knows that Gael isn't an Angeles.
But no, how would she know
Nina, they are disturbed, you've got that right!
doris, Gi needing to be there for the big public beso is probably the real reason Simona wasn't home from her date yet, but I still prefer to think it's 'cause Simona's got it going on. Somebody on this show needs to have a decent love life!
Vivi, I kind of think Joaquina knows? Unless she was out of the room for the kiss? Or maybe she's a Marcelo Cordoba fan....
tofie, he does huff and puff, doesn't he. All hot air, that one.
JudyB, "Julieta does not seem the brightest bulb either." Good point! The apple doesn't listlessly drift down far from the tree, does it?
Lila, I didn't care for Pedro laying hands on Fi in anger, either. They kept it short, thankfully, but who wants a guy like that? Dude eavesdrops, comes to the wrong conclusions without bothering to ask questions, gets angry, gets physical with it. Not galan material.
Hanna, "today" is the day, so hopefully we'll get more Santino action when he meets with Juli about the investigator's report.
sneaky two shoes, Pedro is much prettier when he's silent, yes.
Good afternoon folks. I was watching the dinner scene in which Gael and Roxana kiss and Joaquina very nervous dropped a plate when Sonia said to Gael that Roxana is his cousin.
And when Gael and Roxana kissed she turned her face away to avoid watching them and then she left. So surely she was neither very happy with this relationship because if Roxana is Maximo's daughter oh then she would be Gael's aunt if he is not adopted (ok nobody in the family knows that propably Gael was not Osvaldo Sr.'s son and that Roxana is Maximo's daughter)
