Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #71 Wed 12/2/15 (Mex 100) Fifi fights for her obsession with marrying Vitto

Ciao, Muchacha Peeps.  Well, looks like I've gotten an episode interrupted by mayhem once again.  My heart goes out to every family affected by this madness.  About forty minutes of the episode was taken up by breaking news bulletins.  Here is what I was able to gather.  Please fill in the blanks if anyone is able to watch this tomorrow online:

Gael and Roxi have launched their plan to pose as lovers to fake the family out and take them off the trail of her and Benni.  There is a scene where Osvaldo tells Sergio, Freddie and Sonia that Roxi and Gael are lovers and he apparently believes it.  Sonia is shocked and thinks it's wrong because they are related.  Freddie think it's no biggie because she's adopted.

Giana and Gael's little interlude in the garden is interrupted by Roxi and this is when the bulletin broke in.  Later in the episode Gigi is bummed out about the  fake romance between him and Roxi:  she's afraid a real boink is in the future.  Gael chills her out and warms her up at the same time with tender caresses and kisses.

When we return from the bulletin, Fiorella and Gianna are sitting on her bed.  Fifi's heart is sad over Pedro's marrying, forgetting her and her having to leave the Ranch.  Fifi says her happiness in Gianna's health.  Gigi wants Fifi to start thinking about herself and stop thinking about everyone else.

Granny Helloisa and Pedro Granny's room.  Helloisa wants to write her will after Pedro and Aitana marry and we get a bit of dialogue that makes us feel like we're back in the first week of the show!  Helloisa wants someone of confidence, someone not in the family to be her personal assistant:  Fiorella.  Helloisa trusts her and wants her back.  With Fifi married and Pedro married she won't be worried about Fifi's presence, plus, she can watch Fifi if she's close.

Benni and Roxi smooch and whisper sweet nothings in Roxi's room.  She wants Benni to show how he's going to -- get your adult beverage and chocolate ready -- FIGHT FOR THEIR LOVE!  He marches right out of the room and up the stairs to confront Helloisa.  Benni runs into Pedro on the stairs.  He asks and Pedro grants him permission to go up to talk to Granny and looks admiringly after Benni as he goes up the stairs.

Finally in the garden we have the stock partially overheard conversation as Pedro hears Gianluca and Fiorella arguing.  Luc is arguing that he is her out from the cold, clammy hands of Viottrio and Fiorella argues with more gusto, more attitude and more conviction about her NEED, her OBLIGATION, her COMMITTMENT to marry Vitto than I have ever seen her muster about anything.  All those upper case sentiments and conviction to marry is because she owes him and he's sick.  Gianluca makes an excellent point:  He's got family that can take care of him!   Luca can make her happy!  She shouts she doesn't love him.  Okay, he understands that but they can stay at El Rancho together and take care of Vittorio.  Fiorella then asks Gianluca, sarcastically:

Gianluca, is what you're proposing is that I become your lover while your uncle, Vittorio, is dying and then we can go off together to Italy?  Is that what you're asking?  Okay, fine, that's what we'll do."

Petey has a look of shock and the beginning of a slow burn.

Hey, guys. I would watch Hulu in the morning and fill in the blanks but I have a Dr. appointment I must go to. Anyone feel free to fill in the missing part.

Gracias, Lila. I join you in your sentiments about today's sad events. As for the episode, what you saw, you captured beautifully.

"Helloisa wants to write her will after Pedro and Aitana marry and we get a bit of dialogue that makes us feel like we're back in the first week of the show!" Um, yeah, all of a sudden, Fi's her BFF again? Maybe somebody needs to be suggesting an evaluation.

"Fiorella argues with more gusto, more attitude and more conviction about her NEED, her OBLIGATION, her COMMITTMENT to marry Vitto than I have ever seen her muster about anything." Word. Not that I really care, but I wonder if she's also doing this because everyone's telling her what to do, so she's basically rebelling? If so, it's the stupidest rebellion ever.

What did you miss? Well, that convo with Gianluca pretty much went on, and on, and on, in various iterations in various locations at the ranch, and that took up a lot of time. Fed embarrassed herself and Eloisa by acting like herself in front of Santino. Santino is a very private person, so we barely got some dish on his personal life--his dad was a duke, his mom was a countess, the family has been fighting over daddy's inheritance until recently--not sure if that's going to be important later on, but it was definitely something El could commiserate with. "Tomorrow" Santino will be getting information from whoever he hired to find his daughter. Sergio was also his usual self, pushing Fed at Santino and hinting that he knows who...I mean, what...she's been doing. Ramiro can tell on sight that Diana is boinking Vitto, but they don't have a relationship.

Lila - we had the same horrible news pre-emption here in central standard time. Hopefully someone on the west coast got to see the whole episode and can help us out. But, truth be told, my guess is that we really did not miss much. This IS " mivac", after all.

I wanted to throw something at my tv screen, when Gi started that tontería about Rox. Why couldn't he tell her that they're like brother & sister and nothing to worry about. But Gael knows by now that he is in a telenovela and has to be an idiot. Argh!

Beni grew up and grew a pair tonight. Petey take note! And the taming of the shrew progresses.

Yes, doris, exactly...I'm just a Wordy McWorderson, but really, what it amounts to is "you didn't miss much." We're kind of in the same place we were before, it's just that a few hours have passed. I think they're trying to build suspense for the big Fi reveal. Somebody needs to tell them that dragging their feet isn't really suspenseful! Nor is having people repeat the same conversations over and over and over again! They've almost made me want to say "Hey! Fi said NO! No means no!" just on principle.

Mille grazie, Diva for filling us in on what I missed!

Santino is a very private person, so we barely got some dish on his personal life--his dad was a duke, his mom was a countess, the family has been fighting over daddy's inheritance until recently-..

Say what?? Oh, I'm sure that got Elo's attention! Duke and Duchess. . .is that like actual royalty? This has got to be important! So, does that mean Fifi will have a royal title?

I can't wait for his information from his Private eye!

Ramiro can tell on sight that Diana is boinking Vitto, but they don't have a relationship.

Wonder if Ramiro ever saw anything back when he was working at the ranch!

Grazie tanto, Doris See Diva above: you guys posted at the same time! And yes, Petey did notic how a man acts when he's got. .. .guts! Maybe he'll be inspired!

Yep, he did get "some" of his dad's property and titles, so that would indeed get passed down to Fi...what's that you said about her not being good enough for your precious grandson, El? Hahahahaha!

That would be so great! Fifi Royal and from a rich family and the Angeles mere commoners! Between that and finding out the de la Riva Palma's broke one off in her, that will be a sweet anvil for the old girl! And that doesn't even include whatever Ramiro is planning!

Lila thanks for recapping under difficult circumstances you did a good job, I think we got the "important" stuff

You're right Fi is really fighting for her relationship with Vitto. If she put that much effort in to being w/Pietro, they'd have eloped by now.

"Fifi's heart is sad over Pedro's marrying, forgetting her and her having to leave the Ranch. " Yeah, ya know what makes my heart sad Fi? You! You and your constant refusal to be happy. You and your stupid desire to tie yourself to a dying guy! Ok minirant over, I'm calm again.

____
And Diva you're so right about this " If so, it's the stupidest rebellion ever."

It really amounts to Eloisa getting everything she wanted. She wanted Pedro married to Aitana, she begged Benigno to help "save" the company, she wants Osvaldo being in charge of the new merged company...have fun with that, El! And oh, by the way, she's called "Princess Fi" now. Goodness...what's left for Ramiro to do?

I agree with your minirant, sneaky!

You know, as skeevy as it sounded, Gianluca's indecent proposal wasn't half bad. I don't mean the way she said it, like they'd just boink on the side, but if she's doing all of this because Vitto's dying, then it does make sense for some of Vitto's family to want to be there to help care for him. He can't have it both ways..."I'm dying, so you should feel sorry for me and let me marry your ex. But no, no, I don't need any help, you don't need to feel THAT sorry for me."

You are welcome, Sneaky2Shoes! I used to defend Fifi but she's made it imPOLLible! Driving me crazy AND making my heart sad!

Diva, hopefully Ramiro will come up with something. Could he know something damning at the mighty Angeles? Nah, even if he did, who would listen to him?

*ImPOSSible, too!

I'm sure Ramiro has some dish on Osvaldo, but...it's Osvaldo. Everyone already knows he's an asshole. It would be a bigger shock to find out he's a secret philanthropist than to hear more details of his assholery.

And here I thought you were making a chicken joke with impollible :D

Plus, he's kinda too young to know about the big, bad stuff.

Hee hee! I should learn to play off my mistakes! ;D

Lordy, I'm beat! I'll see y'all later. Enjoy the Patio, everyone! We're off tomoroww!

ImPOLLible works for me. It's proof that your telenovela beanie hat is very tight. :-)

"But no, no, I don't need any help, you don't need to feel THAT sorry for me.". So true!!! LOL

I can't wait for the big reveal (re: Fi) and Elo strokes out.

Good night folks. I watched on the internet today's episode and this novela indeed doesn't advance that much. I just would add to Diva's information that at the scene where Gianna and Gael were out at the ranch after Roxana interrupted their happy moment, Assvaldo came up and since he saw Gianna and Gael together he was again threatening them now with grandma sending gael to study far and bumping gianna from the ranch. Roxana saved them telling Assvaldo that Gael is his boyfriend and that she ordered Gianna a lemonade half hour ago. Assvaldo was a bit shocked at Roxana because only 2 days ago she was with Benito but he end up thinking that their babies are gonna be so pretty.
There was a scene between Helloisa and Federica in which Helloisa was scolding Federica for her improper attitude with Santino. Helloisa was telling Federica that she should be grateful to Maximo because he took care of her when her dad died. Federica was telling her that she doesn't remember any hug or kiss of them, the only thing he grew up feeling in the ranch was a coldness. She compared her love toward Helloisa as being cold like a dead body (that was a little scary)
Another scene of Assvaldo telling Sonia that he doesn't trust on Benigno and he is going to ask Dante to install some strategic cameras on Acorp (by the way Federica was hided listening to them but then leaves) He thinks Benigno could betray him since he forced his designation in the company fusion.
Some scene of Federica telling Dante that he should approach that Osvaldo is gonna go to Acorp to get the papers on pietro's office that proof Maximo's swindle to her daddy.

Thanks for the fill in, Marla! Oh, that Assvaldo. I hope Gael and Gigi are still very careful, although he seems to have bought the Gael/Roxi hook up story, he is a dangerous jerk and they are certainly not out of the woods yet!

Uuuf! Helloisa's love like a cold, dead body. That IS chilling (pun intended) but certainly sounds accurate. Have we ever seen Helloisa hug anybody?

ACorp/Benigno fusion company. Yep, no honor among theives. I wonder if Freddie heard enough to do some damage? And Freddie, once again, trying to get the swindle papers.

Mille grazie, Marla. I feel up to date!

Thank you Lila and..

a shout out to Kat and Marla

"Fiorella argues with more gusto, more attitude and more conviction about her NEED, her OBLIGATION, her COMMITTMENT to marry Vitto than I have ever seen her muster about anything"

That right there. Too much blame is laid at Vitto's feet, I see no collar, no ankle tether but a virginal lamb pity bleating wanting to be slaughtered.

I appreciate Gianna's continued attempt to knock sense into her idiot sister but damn she needs to let this one go. Way too much energy expended. If the nitwit wants to eat her own boogers stop knocking her finger away from her nose.

Roxy actually looks pretty when she smiles at Benito.

Tofie! Girl, I could just reproduce your whole comment! Mille grazie for boiling this down in raw, vivid, Tofie style:

That right there. Too much blame is laid at Vitto's feet, I see no collar, no ankle tether but a virginal lamb pity bleating wanting to be slaughtered.

I appreciate Gianna's continued attempt to knock sense into her idiot sister but damn she needs to let this one go. Way too much energy expended. If the nitwit wants to eat her own boogers stop knocking her finger away from her nose.

DAMN and BAM!

Is Fiorella the stupidest protaginista ever? In my limited telenovela-watching I have never before seen such an idiot. Ditto for Pedro.

Who at Telerisa thought it was a good idea to remake this thing?

Why do I keep watching? Okay, that one is rhetorical. . . . . gah.

Thank you, Lila.

Federica's indictment of Helloisa is the first real truth I think we're heard out of her. Both of them are as cold as the moons of Pluto.

Titles of nobility are not legally recognized in today's Italy (since 1946), but to nouveau riches like Helloisa they still would have social capital. Now I hope the old bat lives long enough to find out that Santino is Fiorella's father. She will be floored. She might even have a coronary.

My money is on that when this happens Santino will be ecstatic. He will buy Fiorella a whole new wardrobe, an expensive car (after driving lessons, of course), and a better everyday hairstyle. She even has a fairy tale name: Fiorella Bianchi = Little white flower.

He'll go to Vittorio and tell him off, too. He's the only grown man in this whole story with the cojones to do that.

I don't think it fair Fifi gets to be a rich princess but Santino as her father does speak to the air between her ears, the product of centuries of royal incest.

Unfortunately with the number of remaining episodes I think we've still got a long wait before the big reveal that Fiorella is Santino's daughter.

And I disagree; it's very fair for her to be a Lady (which would probably be her title as a daughter of a duke) because it would really stick it to Helloisa and her den of hyenas. Santino might even declare that Pedro isn't good enough for her. He would probably also adopt Gianna to take care of her for Fiorella. He's hungry for the family he wanted and never had.

So a duke could slay the dragon. That would earn him a promotion to Prince.

There is nothing wrong with Fiorella's intelligence, but her sense of honor is extreme. She is keeping a promise made as the result of one lie she knows about and now as a result of another yet to be revealed to her.

I love that Gianluca suggested that the rest of the family take care of Vittorio. I hope more of them show up soon. Surely Gianluca will have at least on ally who will point out the obscenity of this marriage.

Wouldn't it be nice if Gianluca insists on taking Vitto somewhere for a second opinion?

Can we wait until ultimas semanas for the Fi reveal? In ADCLG, when did the reveal of the "heroine's" parentage become known? Seems like it was long before the ultimas semanas. I didn't watch that one daily so don't really know.

Thanks for the group effort recap Lila, Kat and Marla!

I only caught the last minutes of this episode, and even I picked up on Fiorella's sarcastic tone when she was speaking to Luc. What an idiot Pedro is to believe she has some evil plot to boink Luc while married to Vitto, and run off with Vitto's money as the merry widow when he kicks the bucket. How little he thinks of her.

Thanks so much Lila!! Appreciate you letting us know what was in the episode. We didn't get ANY of the episode in our area. It was all pre-empted by the tragedy.

Reading events, didn't miss too much. Would love to see that ending. Of course Petey looks at Benni with admiration. He wishes he had a spine too. Idiot.

And I know we are supposed to admire Fi for her dedication, sense of honor and whatever, but for me, it still comes off too often like being terribly naive and plain stubborn. People try to offer her alternatives or ways to be honorable with being stoopid, and she digs her heals in and won't budge. I still fall back on "what the heck has Vitto really done for you except a plane ticket and kept you captive in the house for a few days? She has a tendency to blow things out of proportion, and her allegiance to Vitto is the prime example. It's tiring.

Daisynjay

There is yet another issue to deal with which is how the reveal will happen and how Fiorella will react to it.

Since Vittorio had the letter since just before Mario's demise, Fiorella should be furiosa that he withheld it. One doesn't make this sort of promise to an old friend and forget such a thing. We also didn't see Diana resealing the letter so it will look to Fiorella that Vittorio opened it and withheld the information from her, which will make this worse.

What could fix this NOW would be Diana coming clean to Fiorella about this, Vittorio's faking illness, and her own feelings, but that would make too much sense and lose about 30 episodes.

It's unlikely that Mario had sinister motives for adopting Fiorella or not telling her about it, but Fiorella would have to read the letter to know this.

Then there's how she will feel about Julieta and Santino being her parents, a whole separate issue. I'm sure that the whole social class thing is the explanation for why Julieta gave Fiorella up for adoption as in Santino's parents would have allowed him to marry Julieta and her parents would have disowned her for getting knocked up by someone who wouldn't marry her. Santino seems to have learned his lesson out of this and is therefore in a position to tell Helloisa what for. But if Fiorella screams that they should have FFTL (pass the Nutella) she might have a light-bulb moment.

No; scratch all that. It makes too much sense.

Excuse me, that's "wouldn't have allowed" up there. I wish we could edit comments.

UA, you speak such truths on the parent front. Have to say, if Fi gets all angry and self righteous with THEM and still let's Vitto have a pass and doesn't start standing up for herself in general, that will be frustrating. Somewhat understandable, but either get mad that life in general sucks and start letting everyone have it who is messing you with, or go back to being a milquetoast.

She has baby-steps with Julie already...and at least it would be a surprise to all of them. not like Julietta and Santino knew all along she was their daughter.

Now, HELLoisa's face when it's revealed....I need a freeze frame.

Daisynjay

I promise everyone a screen shot of that. It will be e-mailed to whomever does the recap for that episode.

Mille grazie, Urbanita! Grazie for that bit on Italian titles of nobility! And, oh yeah, that will be valuable social capital in Helloisa's book. I like ALL your scenario, Urban. They owe us a classic, fairy tale development like this after what they've put us through!

Grazie, Vivi! Ay, Pedro. I just don't even know what to say about him anymore. Maybe he's got a hairball in his brain. . . oh, wait, he does: it's Aitana!

Grazie tanto, Daisynjay! ITA:

And I know we are supposed to admire Fi for her dedication, sense of honor and whatever, but for me, it still comes off too often like being terribly naive and plain stubborn.

You are sooo right! People HAVE offered to help her in respectful ways and she blows them off. I agree, they made their point about the innocent and honorable small town girl. This should have been a movie, not a novela!

Urban at 12:46, alas, that DOES make too much sense! And yes, DO email a screen shot! I have to go through too many technical gyrations to get one!

Perhaps Os & Benigno(sp?) will bankrupt Acorp and Fi's fortune, if there is one from Santino, will save it. Seeing Helloisa bow to Fi in gratitude could be very rewarding.

What wonderful socially conscious thing has Fifi done that her reward is never to work again and be able to tell all the class haters of her world (all six of them) to stuff it. She has taken care of her near adult sister for not quite a year. That's it. Guess you could make a point it's pay back for all the horrible things done to her as she play works at the ranch while making moon eyes at Petey.

At what point does she not get to use naive country bumpkin as an excuse for not being very bright. Didn't she learn anything when Anibal came on to her and tried to pin it and a ring theft on her? What about ending up in jail for acid eyedrops, wouldn't that make her a little more wary? How many times has Vitto lost his temper, or was scary controlling or tried to trick her into the sack and I haven't even got to how creepy the dude is? Red flags and warning flashes abound yet Fifi insists but betcha if Petey came to her with a padded financial portfolio independent of grandmas and told Aitana to take a hike she just might tell Vitto thanks but no or then again her blind stubbornness and a tiny bit of spite might put her in Vitto's bed.

Not much of a show last night and horribly depressing news from California, but hey, the comments are hilarious. Thanks Lila, not only for recapping what you could but for always giving such gracious and hilarious responses to everyone else's comments.

We've got a great group here, just, alas, a silly, annoying, enervating telenovela. Did enjoy Benito's courage in confronting Medea..er...Eloisa. Always did like the lad.

Prayers for all those in grief, shock and mourning in California.

Grazie, JudyB We're trying to hang on here! I don't know. These novelas seem to be specializing in keeping supposed true lovers apart. That's one thing when Mr. Wrong is handsome, strapping or even dashing but Vittorio ain't any of these things. *Sigh*

Grazie, amica!

Lila, as usual You rock!! My Heart breaks every time innocent people get gunned down. our prayers go out to their loved ones.
Fi is the type of person who only sees good in people. She is slow to condemn and quick to help. She knows Dante is a monster and yet she empathizes with him. His love for Fed will always be a secret. Her sense of honor is genetic. Old aristocracy always live by the honor code. She may appear idiotic to some people, but can one really say that? Her mom died years before her dad did, so Gi has been her responsibility for a long while. She knows Vitto has family to take care of him. Sacrificing her love for Pedro, is a small price to pay for honoring her dad's wishes. She is misinformed about the wishes but she does not know that. Beni in a way is showing Pedro how to fight for what you want. Glad Luc is around to stir things up.

Hanna

Grazie, Hanna for an eloquent defense of Fiorella I haven't been able to formulate for a long time. Well said. That's what I like about this forum: the variety in perspective and opinions. Without it, I'd be yelling at the tv all alone! This way, I have people to yell with and others to point out other facets that may not get examined. That said, for me there is something that has spoiled the sweetness of those clandestine kisses between Pedro and Fiorella.

I know I keep bringing up La Fea but those moments between her and Fer were just so delicious and I believed in their love so much that the whole Aldo plot line, nueva etapa and extension were almost physically painful! It takes a lot of skill to balance the various factors that separate the lovers and increase the longing between them, a longing that reaches through the screen and grabs ya! I don't feel that with these two so "Fifi and Petey" along with our aged second tier antagonista/galan gets a lot of darts from me and others.

Ah well. A novela not behaving the way you want it to isn't even a problems, is it Peeps?

Grazie, Hanna!

Hehehe well said Lila.

Hanna

Good afternoon folks. I was reviewing again yesterday's episode on the internet and I forgot to include some points in my information.
Benito was again arguing with Joaquina who hided him in Fiorella and Gianna's room to save him from Helloisa but then she helped him see Roxana.
There was some scene between Fiorella, Gianluca, Pietro, and Aitana in which Luca says that he was Fiorella's first boyfriend. Some scene with Pietro and Aitana in which she is throwing her poison to Fiorella and making Pietro doubt of her honesty.
Benito saw Roxana and Gael walking together and was very jealous and angry, he thought Roxana was cheating on him until Gianna explained everything to him although he still was not very happy with the plan.
Roxana was angry at Gael because with his wonderful plan he caused her problems with Benito.
There was some scene on the stables in which Pietro and Luca were arguing because Pietro heard Fiorella screaming at Luca to leave her and he came up to defend her.

By the way in the scene that I mentioned of Assvaldo talking with Sonia about Benigno, Federica only heard that Assvaldo was going to Acorp to check that everything for the fusion was ready. She didn't hear that Assvaldo threatened Benigno.

Hi Lila girl. Im late so I might say this again tomorrow. So here it is. I don't think pedro is as Pist as hes lettin on. Or hes useing this as an excuse to push fi away, cause he knows he can't have her, so he does the meany mad
Act. I don't know about her but hes as nasty as his granny now. Very convincing. Ouch!!!
I'll be glad when Juliet and hot italian guy finds out that fiorella is their daughter.
I wonder if any of these weddings will really,
Actually take place. Cheers to the fake happy
Couples!!!!!
Thanks Lila good recap.

Thanks for the additional information, Marla! We surely have the whole picture now.

Grazie, Nina!

I wonder if any of these weddings will really,
Actually take place. Cheers to the fake happy
Couples!!!!!
