In general blog news...

What I reported as a problem last week (only being able to access the most recent 150 posts for any label) turned out to be a change implemented by Google.  I did find a way around it, but then...

Mr. 5ft took pity on me and wrote a script that will give us lists of ALL the posts for any given label, without having to depend on the feeds provided by Blogger, and without my having to pay attention to how many posts we have per label.  Additionally, it allows me to put the posts in chronological order once a show has ended.  So, YAY! for that.

But what about the feeds?  The only thing that has changed is this new Google-imposed limit of 150 posts.  They're still located at the same URLs as before.  If you have them bookmarked, those bookmarks should still be working.

I did make some changes on the sidebar so that, hopefully, we have SO many ways available to help you get to the post you're looking for that at least ONE of them should be working at all times. (I know, I know...just let me dream....)

  • For current shows, the "most recent" link will take you to the most recent posts with whatever label corresponds to the show you're looking for--I hesitate to say "the most recent recap" because sometimes we have other things that will also pop up there, like important announcements or posts regarding scheduling, etc.
  • The "see all" link will take you to the new "Index" posts you may have gotten used to seeing when I began updating the way we view the feeds.  The index post for each show will list all the posts for that label (using the new script), have links to the feed, links to the most recent posts, and links to any other associated feed- or list-type stuff we used to have (i.e. links to "Delicious" for the older shows).
  • Clicking on a show title in the "Previous Shows" section will take you to the Index post for the show, but the list of posts will now be in chronological order.
I think the best way for you to get a feel for all of this is to look around a bit and click on some links.  Everything is still there, it just looks a little different.

Now, what about "Project Gimme Back My Feeds"?  Well, the title doesn't fit anymore, but the intent is still there...to work towards every reader of Caray, Caray! being able to see a list of posts for every show and easily navigate to the post they're looking for.  This weekend, Index posts were updated to switch to the new script for all current shows and some previous shows.  An Index post was added for Qué culpa tiene Fatmagül?, but no new index posts were added for previous shows.  The remaining index posts will hopefully be updated this weekend, and then I'll be back on track to continue creating new index posts for older shows and linking them on the sidebar.

tl;dr version: in the words of Han Solo, "Uh, we had a slight [...] malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?"

As always, if anything looks funky...broken links, something on the sidebar or the pages in mobile not working, etc...please contact me.

For a fun movie, I recommend the new "Krampus". It is a wondrous combination of horror and comedy with a touch of sentimentality. It could easily become an Xmas cult classic. Loved it!

I don't know why I haven't given it much thought before, but now that it's premier in approaching in early January, I'm getting excited for El Hotel de Secretos. It's something many of us have been hoping to see in a tn for a long time-- a period piece AND a suspense telenovela. Costumes and mystery! I'm so glad I didn't watch the Spanish version now, so that I can be surprised by the plot twists.

Who's in line to recap it?

It's following Yo No Creo en los Hombres, so that team gets first dibs. Have they started announcing Ultimas yet?

Well, how lucky. I'm ON that team. :) Yes. We're in Ultimas. 20 episodes (4 weeks) to go.

Vivi--well, go you :D

Jarifa, sounds intriguing. It may be one I have to watch on TV, I'm a total lightweight when it comes to horror *facepalm*

Looks like starting tomorrow afternoon, Amores Verdaderos will be re-run on Uni in the afternoons, replacing Triunfo.

I will be giving Hotel a look just because it is a mystery. Could be a nice change of pace. Not much of a fan of costume dramas though.

Here is one of the promos for Hotel, that we have not yet seen on Uni, which gives an idea of the period: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Umb7O9AtEc

By the way, this is being premiered first in the US/on Uni, and then starts in Mexico in February. Anyone know what it's replacing in Mexico?

I just now discovered this Qué nos cuenta page. Querida 5ft, tell your husband thanks for pitching in. And thanks to you for your careful instructions. I just posted my first Telemundo y Más page. Don't know why I was nervous, because you've all made it so easy.

Diva

I'm loving this site!! And now grateful not only to you but now to Mr. 5ft also. You guys make an awesome team.!

Thanks for all your hard work keeping us up to date.

I have the U-verse Spanish Tier and never know when something new starts on TVNovelas, Galavision,or other channels because I've become addicted to Youtube and Hulu.
Thats why I love your site, I can be forewarned.

As I'm rewatching it for the umpteenth time, I noticed yesterday that 'Amor Real' wasn't recapped (I don't think). That's one worth recapping, IMHO.

Let me know when you think enough time has passed, and I'll update the " Recommended Novelas" site.

I'm not a huge fan of period pieces either, but I will give it a try. I don't have another choice if I want to watch any right now. Does anyone know how long it is?

Thanks for the video, Vivi...I was drawing a total blank about what the costumes should look like for that time period.

Gracias, LXV! I will pass that on :D Congratulations on your first post. Looking good!

Gracias, Victoria! I'm just glad the Blog Mom lets me play around with stuff. Looks like the last update to the "Recommended Novelas" was summer of 2014? So, since then we've had some shows that made strong impresisons--both positive and negative--like Reina de Corazones, La Malquerida, La Gata (yikes!), Yo No Creo el Los Hombres.

Blog Mom started with recaps of Alborada in 2007, so Amor Real was BCC (before Caray, Caray!).

cathyx, I squinted at the Wikipedia page, but didn't see anything about number of episodes yet.

Thanks 5ft. You do have to kind of squint at Wikipedia if you don't want to see any spoilers, lol. I miss reading your recaps.

Lol, cathyx, it is dangerous...you never know what you might see without wanting to!

I read somewhere that Hotel is expected to be short-- around 80 episodes.

Info about the upcoming La Trailera was posted by deb on the Telemundo page:

"Telemundo Studios announced the kickoff of production of “Eva La Trailera” marking the return to TELEMUNDO screen of acclaimed Mexican actress Edith González. Set to premiere in the first quarter of 2016, the Miami-based production also stars Jorge Luis Pila and Arap Bethke."

"Eva Soler (Edith González), a woman of imposing beauty who has worked hard to support her family as a truck driver, a trade she learned early on the road with her father, who made his living the same way. Through ambition and perseverance, she rises through the ranks to become the owner of the “Mon-sol” trucking empire. Despite her newfound wealth, Eva remains a humble person who understands that life is like an endless road that asks us to make constant decisions about the right direction to take."

"Jorge Luis Pila co-stars as Armando Montes, Eva Soler’s husband, whose friendly façade hides a selfish and vain man with a violent nature who ends up causing great harm to his family. He finds a rival for Eva’s love in Pablo Contreras (Arap Bethke), a responsible young detective with strong moral values who brings a new sense of hope to Eva’s life."

also: "Erika de la Rosa, Vanessa Bauche, Javier Díaz Dueñas, Henry Zakka, Roberto Mateos, Alfredo Huereca, Karen Sentíes, Mónica Sánchez Navarro, María Raquenel, Sofía Lama, Antonio Gaona, Minnie West, Martha Mijares, Paloma Márquez, Ana Osorio, Jonathan Freudman, Jorge Eduardo García, Nicolle Apollonio, Michelle Vargas, Adrián Carvajal, Tony Vela and Gustavo Pedraza."

"“Eva La Trailera” is an original Telemundo Studios production written by Valentina Párraga (“La Patrona” and “Los Miserables”), directed by Leonardo Galavis (“Donde Esta Elisa?”) and Nicolás Di Blasi (“Bajo El Mismo Cielo”), and produced by Martha Godoy (“La Patrona”, “El Señor de los Cielos”), with Joshua Mintz supervising."

Gracias, LXV! And my thanks to deb, too! Details added up top.

Also, looks like we have a date for Querida del Centauro--January 12. Gracias, Sara for that info!

Thanks Diva,

I had forgotten the sequence of Estrada's period novelas but it's funny because I came across Blog Mom's "Alborada" site when I watched it, then got hooked on 'Caray' --- Mariana Karr's favorite saying in Alborada, and said with such feeling.

I'm in on Hotel and La Trailera. They look very ingesting at this point.

****ingesting......OMG hate autospell

Interesting. ....

More news about Centauro:
"La querida del Centauro" it's official, begins January 12th.

"filmed in its entirety in Mexico"
"the Super Series is directed by Mauricio Cruz (La Reina del Sur, Doña Bárbara) and Javier Solar (Camelia la Texana) under the executive supervision of Gabriela Valentán (La Patrona) and Daniel Ucros (El Mariachi)."

more and link to the trailer here,

Gracias à deb for the info.

Well, Victoria, they can become very consuming sometimes...hopefully not THAT consuming!

Gracias deb and LXV!

Does anyone know how long Hotel de secretos so is supposed to be? I would love to see something shorter than 160 capítulos.

Hi everybody!!

I´m at present in the amazon right now (no kidding! I´m in Leticia, in Colombia) and, perhaps needless to say- the internet isn´t all that great down here (what there is of it at all!). Anyways, I did want to try and give you guys another one of my ´update´ pages, as a lot of things have come into being since my last one. Here goes!

The Ängelique Boyer suffused ´Lazos de amor´ remake will be called ¨Como tres gotas de agua¨, and starring alongside Boyer, Boyer, and Boyer in this will be her real-life paramour Sebastian Rulli, alongside David Zepeda, Pedro Moreno, and Carlos de la Mota. Javier Jattin was originally cast in one of the three main male roles but he was dumped by the producer in favor of Sr. Moreno who apparently didn´t make nearly the outrageous demands that Sr. Jattin did. Blanca Guerra will also here, but I´m not sure if this is in the Maty Huitron role or the Marga Lopez role (from the original). This one will follow ´Pasion y poder´ down in these parts, and shooting starts January 4th.

Juan Osorio´s latest schmaltz-fest (seeing as ´Mi corazon es tuyo´ worked so well for him), ´Sueno del amor¨ underwent a minor NOT-crisis when protagonista Silvia Navarro backed out, saying that it was just too soon after having given birth. Undaunted, Sr. Osorio decided to grab the proverbial bull by the proverbial horns and has cast someone named Betty Monroe as lead. If you haven´t heard of Sra. Monroe, don´t feel bad... apparently neither has wikipedia! She IS, however, an accomplished actress from TV Azteca and the general consensus seems to be bravo to Sr. Osorio for providing us with a new name and fresh face. Sra. Monroe´s galan in this one will be Cristian de la Fuente (his character will be called ´Ricardo Alegria´), and her (grown) children will be played by Polo Morin (as ´Pablo´) and Renata Notni (as ´Patricia´). Something of note that piques at least my proverbial interest about this one is the fact that Sabine Moussier has also been cast here, in the role of ´Tracy Kidman´, the esposa of de la Fuente´s character. This one debuts down in these parts on February 22, right after ´Ántes muerte que Lichita´ ends...

The MaPat remake of ´Laberintos de pàsion´ is ready to go. It debuts here on February 8th, after ´A que no me dejas´ ends its run. I believe we´ve already covered casting for this one, but just in the interests of completeness, here it is:
leads- Pablo Lyle, Thelma Madrigal, villains- Alejandro Tommasi, Dulce Maria, Lourdes Reyes, supporting roles- Alexis Ayala, Mariana von Rankin, Diego Olivera, Mayrin Villanueva, Helena Rojo, Maria Sorte, Eric del Castillo.

The latest work that Nathalie Lartilleux intends to inflict on us, ¨Un camino hacia el destino¨ is, alas, continuing unabated, and well most casting has already been discussed here (Paulina Goto, Horacio Pancheri- leads, Harry Geithner, Ana Patricia Rojo- villains, Rene Strickler, Eugenia Cauduro, Manuel Landeta- supporting cast), I can also add Lisette Morelos and Rocio Banquells (NOT, alas, as a villain, however.. :-(

The ´Gran Hotel´ remake ¨El hotel de los secretos¨¨ is actively in promotion and all casting has already been revealed here. TAKE NOTE OF THIS ONE, EVERYBODY!!! IT LOOKS AND SOUNDS FABULOUS!!!!!

Anyways, I´m at an internet cafe here, and my hour is about to expire, but I´ll write back soon with more news! All my best wishes to everybody!!

Thanks, Stevey! All the best to you in Colombia!

Stevey, Internet Cafe in the Amazon ??-- did you go from better or worst? Nicaragua to Leticia Colombia? ?? Canada too boring/cold.
Will email you this weekend.
Thanks again for the very detailed update.

Stevey, gracias! I love it...we have a Special Correspondent informing us from a remote location in the Amazon!
