Caray, Caray!

After a good 4 minutes of refrito, we get back to the action in progress.  Fi stands firm--Vitto is a big lying liar and a creep who pressured her into marrying him for months, but now it is O-V-E-R.  Vitto looks like he'd like to keel over now, for realz, and I sure wouldn't mind if he did.

Gael sneaks into Gi's room and she freaks out thinking it's Aitana coming to torture her some more. He's just after a good night kiss.  He's feeling a little bolder since he figures everyone's preoccupied with Eloisa, so nobody's going to notice that he's sneaking into his girlfriend's room at night.  Gael has something to do tomorrow, so he won't be at school, even though they're "cumpliendo meses" (it's their month-iversary) and Gi was hoping they'd do something special to celebrate.



Dante enters El's room to find out what Fed was doing there, but El can't remember Fed having been there.  She's just been reading and hanging out…but now she's also thinking maybe she should do some painting.  Does he not remember how she painted so many of the paintings around the house?  (Uh, is she responsible for the pantyhose ad in the saloncito?  I hope there's no deeper artistic meaning behind that one….)  She sends Dante to go collect her painting supplies from storage and invite Fed to paint with her. She cuts off her rambling abruptly after Dante leaves.

Benito is still planning to fake out the old broad, but Joaquina overhears him talking to Simona and strenuously objects.  Please, Joaquina, leave him alone.  We could use the comic relief.

Fi and Pedro meet in Rey and Adela's dining room.  Fi thinks she's gotten rid of Vitto for good, but Pedro thinks hell hath no fury like a Vitto scorned.  Pedro thinks Fi should come back to the Rancho so he can protect her.  Fi refuses, but Pedro suggests having her be the one to keep watch over El constantly.  They both agree they've been missing each other something fierce.  Smoochies.

Vitto drinks and mopes.  Domingo tries to get him to wash that woman right out of his hair, but Vitto is fixated.  He even suggests Diana as an acceptable substitute, but Vitto's not interested.  In anything.  Not even the restaurants.  Maybe not even life.  All he wants is to sleep for days.

Anibal keeps trying to pimp Diana out.  And while I know that Diana was after Vitto before, I still don't think that gives Anibal the right to demand she go after him.

Pedro thinks Fi should come back to the Rancho and they should pretend to not be together.  There's nothing to be afraid of, now that they're married.  And it'll only be for a while.  Fi agrees.  Oh, these kids.  So cute.  So stupid.  So smooshy.

So now Benigno and Aitana know that Pedro knows about the email.  Os gloats that Pedro's so lost, he doesn't even know who to trust. He thinks they can use that to their advantage.

Diana's mom is not enamored of Anibal.  He contributes nothing to the household.  They realize that Anibal is out of the house and neither of them have any idea where Beto is…uh oh!

Board meeting.  Things are going well with Herdez.  I still have no idea what A Corp does for them.

Yep, Anibal took Beto and he's holding him hostage.  As much as Diana neglected him before, she's devastated now.

Dang, braids are back at Rey and Adela's, but they're barely noticeable.  Adela is in tears at Fi's impending departure.  Rey jokes, wondering what Pedro has that he doesn't…and Adela is only too happy to oblige him with a list.  Fi realizes she hasn't told Gianna and decides to call her, using the house phone.

After the call, Gi hears a phone ringing…it's an automated message from Gael and the phone is the first part of their month-iversary present.  Now she has to follow the clues.  Clue 1 is tied to the phone:

"The entire universe and the stars fit inside your head.  To find the next present, go to the center of knowledge."  Gi figures this means Gael wants her to go to the University.

Pedro is still beating himself up over not noticing what Aitana and Benigno are up to.  But, yay, Cousin Os is going to help him fight them!  Fidel agrees it's about time the two of them worked together, like family.  Um, yeah.  Whatever.

Sonia is upset she wasn't at the private meeting Os had with Aitana and Benigno.  When will he learn that she's the only one he's allowed to plot and scheme with?  Os drinks and babbles about getting rid of Pedro "for good."  Sonia looks worried.

Julieta calls from Italy.  There's no concrete news, but Julieta just has a feeling.  Sergio flips his lid when he hears Santino's voice.  And Julieta's explanation that there's a festival and not enough rooms, so they're sharing a room, but not a bed, does NOT help.

Rox is cranky.  Crankier than usual.  She brushes off Benito's concerns and flounces off to hang out with her friends.  Gianna, carrying an ornate mask, comes up and surprises him, chatting happily about how Gael's been leaving her little presents all over the place.  She's worried about Beni's mood.  I'm worried, too, since he seems to think that the appropriate solution is to get Eloisa to give him permission to marry Rox, and quickly.  Gael sees Gianna shouting after Benito.  And then she turns over the mask to see another clue written inside:

"You're at the University but not where they teach the real lessons.  Your next clue is in the lecture hall."  She runs off giggling.

Pedro tries to tell El that she needs someone to take care of her because her health has been declining.  She says she's doing just fine.  She knows everyone thinks she's sick.  She'd rather talk about why Pedro left Aitana at the altar.  He gives the same excuse he's been giving all this time--"I was confused."  Fed walks in and immediately the house phone starts ringing.  It's Jimi Hendrix.  He wants his outfit back, Fed.  In front of Fed, Eloisa announces that Pedro needs to stick around because the "notario" (a lawyer who deals with documents; for this reason, notaries public in the US are prohibited from translating their titles into Spanish, though some states will permit it as long as there's a "not a lawyer" disclaimer attached) will be there so she can finish making out her will.  Pedro thinks now is SO not the time, since she's been "confused" lately.  El throws that back in his face, saying he's the one who's confused, by his own admission.  Fed speaks.  I can't hear her over that outfit.  El says they've upset her and now she needs to go get some fresh air and have the gardener get her some quesadillas.  She wanders out and Fed keeps pushing the "El's crazy" angle, while Pedro thinks she's fine and wonders if Fed is hiding something.  Dante arrives to ask to speak to Pedro, but Pedro's in a hurry.  Fed warns Dante they have to keep the notario away from El.

Gi and Rox are in anatomy class and Gi is looking for her next clue.  The hot prof's phone rings, giving her ample time to crawl around a bit and get into an argument with Rox about her nice new phone.  Hot prof tells them to cool it and continues talking about the thorax.  Gi finds the clue finally.

Fi is still taking her leave of Adela and Rey.  Adela is still weepy and worried.  They don't think she'll be safe at the Rancho.  Fi says Pedro will protect her and nothing can harm their love.  She invites them to her wedding, not that they have a date yet, but soon.  She leaves and Adela cries more.  I'd say she's being pessimistic, but knowing that house.  Yeah, disaster is looming.

The notario arrives and Simona turns on the charm.  Fed stops her from announcing his arrival to Eloisa and sends her to the kitchen.  Once Simona Is gone, Fed says that Eloisa is sick and can't receive him.  He is rightfully suspicious.  It's the outfit, Fed.  It doesn't exactly scream "trust me."  Well, wait, let me take that back.  If she was saying something like "I know where to score some 'shrooms," she'd look totes trustworthy.

Pedro and Os chat.  Aitana interrupts, so Os leaves.  She whines in his general direction and I tune her out.  Pedro, of course, doesn't succumb to her questionable charms.

Benito is FINALLY ready to go talk to El.  Simona cheers him on.  Fidel tells him not to do it.  Shut up, Fidel--I've been waiting all episode for this!

Anibal threatens Diana some more, but she can't find Vitto's account numbers.  She agrees to keep looking in his office.

Pedro is displeased that Aitana is there for dinner.  The usual dinner table nastiness ensues.

Vitto is about to walk into his office when his phone rings.

Innuendo about Fi hiding in the house somewhere.  Sergio denies he has her stashed in his room, har, har.  The lady herself walks in and she and Pedro act like they haven't been sucking face in the last 24 hours.

Beni enters the dragon's lair.  El is reading again, sitting up this time,  and she invites him to have a seat on her bed.  "Really?"  He's thrown off by this and stammers until he gets to a very clear "I want to ask you for Roxana's hand."  El jerks upright and looks at him in shock.
