Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #83 Monday12-21-15 (Mex 115-116) Fiorella gives Vitto a Piece of her Mind and we hope she has some left!

Ciao!  How y'all are?  Picking right up where we left off with Pedro learning that once dementia starts, it's very difficult to reverse the damage.  Pedro is visibly moved and remarks that he never expected this to happen and that just recently Eloisa was so good.  Dr. Elizalde just wants to make sure Pedro understands and doesn't have any false hopes.  Dr. Elizalde also suggests that she get her legal affairs in order and advises Pedro to be very patient with her.  Pedro agrees he must step forward to take charge of ACorp and the family!

First on his list is to get in touch with Fabio.  Darn!  Still no answer!  Fidel knocks and is invited into the study.  They discuss Pedro's failure to reach Fabio.  Pedro wonders if Fabio could be working with Benigno and Aitana.  Fidel thinks this is possible and why Fabio has made himself scarce.  There must be a way to expose Benigno but Pedro doesn't know what to do or who to trust.  Fidel asks if Assvaldo is a good option and Pedro says no, his consuming interest has been wanting to head the family and the business and he doesn't trust him.  Fidel asks Pedro if he thinks Assvaldo could be an accomplice of Benigno and the music ramps up quickly in a feverish crescendo!!!  Pedro says no, he doesn't think so:  Assvaldo would never do anything that would threaten his own self interests and my heart takes a dive!!!  AAAAAGH!!!!  Fidel advises then that Pedro should go to Assvaldo and get his help!  FIDEL!!

Over at Rey and Adela's, Adela is very frustrated that Rey couldn't stop Vitto from going to the police.  Rey thinks Fiorella could calm Vitto down if she just calls him and tells him she's okay.  Adela thinks this is a horrible idea.  Fiorella agrees:  Vitto would then know she didn't go with  Gianluca but is with Pedro.  Adela wants her to call Pedro but since he's busy with his Granny Eloisa, Fiorella says she will resolve the situation herself.  Today.

In the living room of the ranch Pedro shares Dr. Elizalde's report on Eloisa with Sergio.  Sergio is determined they will insure Eloisa has the best life possible and tries to comfort Pedro with his assessment that Eloisa has lived life to the fullest.  Sonia and Assvaldo come down the stairs and Pedro updates them as well.  They do a good job expressing concern:  Assvaldo says he hasn't been able to concentrate all day at work and declare they must get the best specialists to attend to Eloisa!  Pedro says he will hire someone to take care of her.  Roxi comes in and does not share their concern when she is told they are discussing Eloisa's illness.  She wants to talk about something serious, the will.  Pedro asks her to just shut the #@ck up.

So.  Fiorella wants to go talk to Vittorio.  Adela has a conniption and Rey joins in with his gravely voice trying to convince her it's a baaaad idea!  Vittorio had already said he was willing to do anything to get her to marry him!  Fiorella is convinced she has to do something but agrees to consult with Pedro.  She calls Pedro from Adela and Rey's phone.

Again at the ranch Pedro calls Assvaldo aside to talk.  They go into the study and we are served a bizarre scene outside the study as Dante comes into the living room barking at Simoneta to get into the kitchen and cook, she has no need to clean and will not allow her to abuse the
freedom that Eloisa has granted her.  Please join me in saying WTF?  He's the head of security!

Well, Pedro didn't answer his phone so Fiorella decides that this issue with Vittorio has to be settled now so she's going to confront Vittorio tonight.  Rey and Adela's pleas fall on deaf ears.  She doesn't want them to get into trouble for having lied to Vitto and so declines Rey's offer to go with her.  Fiorella leaves, Adela prays.

It's suppertime with Diana, her mom, Anibal and little Beto.  It's NOT a Normal Rockwell moment.  Anibal wonders when they're going to go forward with the rip off Vitto plan.  Diane says after thinking it through, count her out.  She takes little Beto from Anibal and goes off to bed.  Anibal tells Diane's mom that it really is a good business deal he's proposing.  Diane's mom thinks as long as he stays with Diana and takes care of her and his son, she is cool.  Jeez.  Diana's mom doesn't know this deal could mean she'd be doing Grandmommy duty for the next twenty years.

Roxi reports to Gael that the mystery texter if the same creepy guy that approached him at the wedding but she gave him what for and not to worry.  Psycho, paparazzi, whatever he was, she got rid of him!  Gael is so grateful, he starts to wrestle with and tickle Roxi.  We never find out how this little romp ends.  Innocently, I'm sure.

Benito tells Gianna he will take advantage of Eloisa's current state to ask for Roxi's hand.  He thinks it should be easy to pass himself off as a Prince.  Gianna thinks that's shameful.  Benni thinks he's crazy in love.  Gianna thinks he's just crazy.

Back at the ranch we find Eloisa lying on her tummy in the bed reading a book.  Freddie comes in with some papers in several folders.  It's stuff Eloisa needs to sign, some personnel matters, an employees check, stuff like that.  Why doesn't see ask Maximo?  Oh, Maximo is busy and besides, her signature is just as important as Maximo's.  Eloisa signs two papers and then Freddie comes to a third paper and on it I see the words, "Que mi heredero universal es Federica Angeles."   "My only heir shall be Federica Angeles."

Next, there is a scene that was truly painful to witness.  Pedro is, at first, reluctant to tell Assvaldo what he learned that made him bolt from the church and but he convinces Pedro to open up.  Pedro bares his soul and the knowledge of the Benigno swindle and enlists Assvaldo's help in saving the family, saving the family business and seeking justice for both through the exposure and sacking of Benigno and Aitana de la Riva Palma!  Pedro says they have to be absolutely discreet so they don't alert Benigno and give him a chance to flee or protect himself.  Pedro also asks that Granny Eloisa not be told.  "I can't trust anyone except you," he tells Assvaldo.  "Please, you have to help me get back what is ours!"  They cynical liar answers, "You can count on me.  They will pay!"

Domingo interrupts Vittorio in his office at LDV to tell him Fiorella is there!  Vitto said he was worried and thought she took a trip with Gianluca.  She says she did and as to his assertion that Gianluca went alone to Italy she claims they went to a beach, had a falling out and he left for Italy alone.  Vitto says he doesn't understand.  Well, she doesn't either.  "I want to know why you lied and told me that you suffered from a terminal illness."

Eloisa examines the third paper and says innocently that the paper is not a permission slip or a check, it's a will!  She can't sign that. . .she has to consult with her lawyers first.  Eloisa refuses to sign the paper,  puts Freddie out and refuses to give any of the papers back to her!  Freddie leaves and immediately the fog over Eloisa's affect dissipates, she jumps up and puts the papers under her mattress. It is absolutely clear that Eloisa's mind is clear!!

Benito finally makes it over to his Parents and tells them about his plan to ask for Roxi's hand.  RPC cause it's late.  High jinks ensue as they try to rush Benni out while he knows they are up to something but refuse to tell him.

Vittorio tries to say that Gianluca lied to her and that he is ill.  "You lied to me and fooled me, the only thing Gianluca did was open my eyes.  Why did you do it?  How could you do such a thing, you didn't care for my feelings for one minute!"  He feebly tries to deny what he did but finally says he did it because he loves her.  Fiorella is in his face and yelling at Vittorio.  "Don't ask me to understand your cynical responses.  If you ask me, you ARE sick, but not in the heart, but in the head.  You're a mad man.  What you feel is called obsession and it has nothing to do with love!"

Pedro continues with Assvaldo.  He says he's been trying without success to reach Fabio to see if he felt anything was amiss in ACorp.  Assvaldo asks Pedro, as if it's just occurring to him, if Pedro thinks Fabio could be an accomplice of Benigno's.  This gets Pedro's attention.  Assvaldo offers to see if he can find another phone number for Fabio.  Pedro sincerely thanks Assvaldo who answers, "Don't thank me; it's my duty to help.  It's our business."  Assvaldo leaves, Fidel knocks and enters, bringing Pedro his cell phone.  Pedro sees he's missed a call from Rey and Adela's.  It must be Fiorella.  He calls Adela.

Adela takes the call from Pedro and she tells him "in code" that Fiorella has left their home to go to talk to Vittorio.  Pedro is swift and picks up exactly what Adela is trying to tell him.  Pedro is not pleased.  He asks Adela to have Fiorella call him as soon as she gets back.  Benni grabs the phone and tries to hear who is on the phone.  Benni gives up trying to find out what his Parents are up to and leaves in frustration.  On Pedro's side of the call, he wants to go to LDV immediately but Fidel stops him.  Vittorio may realize that he ran off with Fiorella.

Freddie throws a tantrum in her bedroom over Eloisa's refusal to sign the papers and she is pissed that if Eloisa talks to her lawyer or a notary, they are in trouble.  Dante thinks Eloisa is behaving just like Dr. Elizalde described with the mood swings and all.  Freddie thinks she's more obnoxious than before and Dante fears she'll only get worse.  Freddie vows to find another way to get her to sign the papers.

Assvaldo tells Sonia how Pedro knows all about the swindle.  She thinks they'll be fingered as accomplices, he thinks not since they didn't come up with the plan, they found out about it later.  Well, Sonia argues, they knew but they didn't say anything.  Ass boy doesn't want to waste his time trying to describe to her the nuances of why they won't be in trouble.  The bottom line is that they know the whole scheme and can work with Benigno to bring Pedro to his knees for good.  He's got Pedro at his mercy!

Fiorella is not done dressing Vittorio down.  "You lied to me from the start.  The first time you lied, you made me think you were much younger!"  He claims he just wanted to look good for her.  "What's wrong?  Do you need to lie to make a woman love you?"  He reminds her that she and Gianna would be on the street if not for him.  Fiorella says she realizes that and will always be grateful to him but she will pay back every peso.  He says he doesn't want the money.  Well, that's what she'll do because that's what her Father taught her and he also lied to her Father, who was his friend.  She gives him her phone back and says she doesn't want to receive any more calls from him.  Something makes me feel like she is giving him back the wrong phone and that this is the new phone that she got after marrying Pedro.  Finally, she tells him that he tried to buy her very soul with his money and she takes off her engagement ring and plops it down on the desk.  He tries to beg her no but she answers, "I don't care what you want, all I want is for you to forget me!"

And cut!

Oh no, we need to give a big slap on their faces to Fidel and Petey for ruining any chance they had of making ratana and beg fall down. Oh Fidel was supposed to be the wise voice in this novela but it seems that he lost his godfather powers. Why the heck he counseled Petey to inform Ass of the swindle and not to grandma?
Oh we lost Petey, he has done too much stupid things but this crossed all the boundaries. Oh Ass is getting now more dangerous. In That scene in which he was talking with Sonia while drinking a glass of wine he looked creepy. But he is a great hypocrite that I was confused in if he was sincere in the scene where he was talking about his grandmother.

Lila - Thank you for the recap!

I had that same bad feeling when Fiorella gave the cell phone to Vitto , too.

It sure felt good to see Fi calling Vi out on all his lies. I'm still afraid he'll kidnap her, at some point. We have a lot of episodes to go. Just sayin'. . .

Dante really was out of line with Simona, and he does stuff like that on a regular basis. Argh.

That entire scene at Ray & Adela's can be FFWD-> thru. Definitely RPC material. They're setting us up for Beni to drop in and discover Fi.

I hated that Pedro told Assvaldo his suspicions, but who else does he have to go to? (well ... besides his lawyers) Ped is not privy to the info we on The Patio have. He really thinks he CAN trust that scumbag. Ack.

Go, Granny, go! Take Fed for a ride with your act and take her down.

Buongiorno, Marla. Yah, I knew they had to do something to stop the forward March of the story and so the answer was to strike Fidel dumb! So frustrating! And, yes, Pedro was cranked up in dumbditude as well. I think the only thing that saved me from screaming through the whole thing was seeing that Eloisa IS faking! Thank goodness!

Buongiorno e mille grazie, Doris! Doris, Fiorella confronting Vittorio seemed like a bad idea at first but her speaking truth to the zombie felt good as did learning Eloisa is still as sharp as ever. However, I am still afraid Vitto's going to do something to Fiorella. She hasn't left his crypt yet!

I don't see what the purpose of the Dante chewing out Simoneta scene was! Probably something they edited out. He's supposed to be the head of security. Quina is over the small house staff. Simoneta knows what needs to be done in the house. I am beyond sick of Dante!

Go, Granny, go! Take Fed for a ride with your act and take her down.

ITA, Doris, but they sure are mixing their colors with these two. Freddie's Father WAS wronged and Eloisa was more than privy to it but they're making Granny a hero and Freddie a zero? No, it's not right for Freddie to get the WHOLE Angeles fortune so I guess that greed is what trumps any righteousness she might have had for trying to avenge her Father. Oh, well. I'm sick of Freddie, too. Take her down, Granny!

Thank you Lila. With enthusiasm.

Even Elisa knows to talk to a lawyer, why not Petey or tell the securities commission to investigate?

Bless Fifi's bimbo heart. Somebody needs to tell her not to play in traffic.

Thanks so much, Lila. I started watching, and as soon as Pedro and Fidel agreed to tell all to Ass, I stopped watching. The belle epoch has ended. I'm back to reading and not watching.

I loved your recap of Fi telling Vitto off. It's about time. But we know that Nosferatu won't let go of his chosen bride so easily.

Thanks mucho, Lila! You just keep on cranking out these jewels, don't you?

There must be something about the circulation to Pedro's scalp that is odd. Every time he is stressed he starts scratching it.

I loved Fi's confrontation with Vitto, but I still think that Pedro and Fi should come completely clean and proclaim to the world what they have done. I wonder if the less obscure sunglasses that he was wearing signify anything. I tend to agree with Vivi that this was too easy, and that Vitto's lying manipulative heart will not take Fi's rejection lying down.

Well, we didn't get an update on the search for the adopted daughter last night. Hope they are making some progress in Italia.

I can't figure Dante out. At times I have thought he was a self-appointed mole secretly working on Eloisa's behalf to bring Freddie down. His reluctance to take part in certain parts of Freddie's plans make me suspicious. But most of the time he seems to be genuinely helping her, just not willing to take part in the more extreme ideas that she has.

Osvaldo has such limited mental capabilities. He perceives himself to be a captain of industry and a master spy/manipulator. He is digging himself such a deep hole. I think Sonia is smarter than him (or at least more streetwise) so I don't understand why she is letting him do all the stuff he is doing. She always looks concerned when he comes up with the stuff he does as though she is aware that he is stepping into danger, but she is reluctant to go against him.

Thanks again, Lila. Another great job.

David

Lila, clever and bright as always! Intricate, interesting detail.

So many wonderful lines but "It's NOT a Normal Rockwell moment" was my favorite.

Osvaldo is supposed to be Pedro's "brother". I think that in fairness, he, as any other sibling, must at times put aside previous hurt and hope against hope, that a sense of kinship and support will ensue. I am disappointed in Fidel for encouraging him though too Marla. He should know better.

I'm starting to believe Osvaldo is mentally unstable. David, I feel there is no doubt Sonia is the smarter of the two. I think she often keeps her thoughts at bay as she is fearful of his physical abuse if she "steps out of line".

I didn't think about Fiorella returning the wrong phone. Oh my. But, it makes sense. I'm pleased to see her spunk though...

Ahhh Benito. I am smiling at the thought he will present himself as royalty to Eloisa to ask for Roxi's hand. That might be fun.

Thanks Lila!

Diana

Gracias, Lila! I'm having a lovely coffee-and-recap morning :D

"Fidel advises then that Pedro should go to Assvaldo and get his help! FIDEL!!" You captured my sentiments on this one. I just don't understand Fidel sometimes.

"Please join me in saying WTF?" WTF? That was bizarre. Is he just upset about Eloisa, maybe? Not that I care if he is.

"Something makes me feel like she is giving him back the wrong phone and that this is the new phone that she got after marrying Pedro." I agree, the camera lingered on it too long, and I thought her Vitto-phone had some kind of colorful cover AND was still back in the drawer of her dressing table at the Rancho, where she left it before the wedding.

Grazie, Tofie! Yah, what's up with not talking with a lawyer? He consuslted an expert on Eloisa's medical condition, why not get an expert in this delicate and important matter!

Grazie, Vivi, Yah, "the belle epoch" has ended, indeed. Girl, I almost got sick last night! And yeah, leave before the kidnapping [speculation only, peeps!]

Grazie mille, David! Yes, the should just come clean and no, Vitto will not remain con brazos crusados over Fifi's leaving him.

Grazie, Diana and Diva I'll be back later by the Grace of the Good Lord. Offspring is in town and we're off to see my Mommy, a Good Grammy and other family. . . .back later to comment more!

Marla, I agree, Os really sounded like he felt bad about poor old granny. He had me going until he started in on barely being able to concentrate at work, since when does he ever? I expected him and Sonia to go upstairs and do a victory dance.

doris, I was feeling pretty confident about Fi until she let Vitto get between her and the door. Now I'm worried she'll end up in the wine cellar like Luca.

David, Sonia did have that look on her face last night after dealing with Os, like she'd just realized he's even stupider than she thought and she's not sure how to manipulate him into doing what she thinks is the better course of action.

I'm agreeing with everyone who thinks Eloisa's just playing them. And I'm ok with that. If Fed wants to get "justice" by finding out the truth, ok, fine, but that's so not what this is. Makes it look like she's more interested in the money than "truth" or "justice." Not that I'm shocked.

"worried she'll end up in the wine cellar like Luca" Exactly why Fifi was stupid to go talk to the guy. He's mad, Vitto konked his own nephew on the head and she knows. All she had to do was call the cops and tell them some nutjob old man will be calling saying I'm missing but I ain't. Swear, Livia does a great nobody's home upstairs look.

Faking or not I felt sorry for Eloisa as fast Freddy stuck the documents under her nose to sign.

Petey scratches his head in befuddlement.

I don't know why everyone was so worried about Vitto going to the cops in the first place. I'm sad he didn't, actually, 'cause as much as it would be a cheap joke, can you imagine him explaining to the cops that he's looking for his runaway bride and showing them a picture and the cops are looking at each other like they know exactly why she ran away? And then telling him that this does not make her a missing person. Or even if they accepted his report, or he lied, and they went looking for her anyway, once they found her she'd just say she wants nothing to do with him and that's the end of it.

Thanks Lila. Stellar recap.

Honestly, someone was handing out the stupid pills again. One minute you have that hope that maybe some of these people wised up and were on the right tack, and then someone must have come in and slipped them the stupid pill in a cookie or something.

Why in the heavens would Petey and Fidel think ASShat capable of being any help he past and he screwed up. He's obnoxious, a liar and Sonia isn't to be trusted either (hey Petey, baby fiasco remember?) No clue why Fidel would go there either. As for ASShat, since narcissism seems to run through his male gene pool, he has such an overblown sense of self, he truly thinks he has everything under control and that how he sees things is really the way it's working. He is never aware of the back-stabbing or manipulations around him 'cos, heaven forbid, that would mean he was wrong.

As for Fi telling off The Walking Dead, he deserved it and glad she did. But why GIVE BACK any cell phone. Take a hammer and destroy the stupid thing. If that wasn't a plot device planned goof up I don't know what was.

So the patio was right on Eloisa, but honestly woman, you need to move on these people before they go too far. Why is she not talking then to Petey about what she knows or does she not trust anyone now?

Count me at the table of "Oh, for cripes sake just spill it already!" All this secrecy on the marriage is worthless. Petey and Fi could make people true colors come out much faster and get things cleared up if they just spilled and moved on. If I saw those coming attractions right, Petey might need a good slap up the head tonight.

Anyone getting the feeling some of these stupid plot happenings are for the sheer purpose of dragging this out. Oh the horror!

Daisynjay

Totally! What the hell difference does it make anymore if they did or didn't run off together, or who objects to them being married. It's done, y ya!

Let's not forget The Ass shot Pedro and admitted it, so...yeah, that's definitely the sign of a trustworthy person. Seriously, Pedro?

Hello All. Thanks Lila, as usual you don't disappoint! Thanks again for recap because I miss a lot of the shows. we know Assvaldo is a snake because we eavesdrop on their conversations. Petro and Fidel don't have the same access. Their trust is based on family loyalty, or so they hope. Petro first instinct was distrust but family is family. Greatly overrated but hey they will soon find out.. Fed, I just don't have the energy. Fi at least has her thinking cap on. Glad she gave the old goat exactly what he deserved. He treated her like an acquisition and not like a warm blooded human. Serves him right. Let the unraveling begin..

Hanna

OT, but important: According to TV Guide's website, Univision's prime time lineup is pre-empted for holiday programming both on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. So all Thursday authors get the night off on both dates.

Thanks for the info UA. Christmas Eve is a big deal in our house, but Christmas after a dinner @ 4:00 pm is relaxing and basketball. The boys are off with friends doing goofy traditions so I have the TV to myself. (One goes to a local deli/restaurant that opens in the evening and the whole gang meets up buys one whole cheesecake and hangs for a few hours gabbing. The place even reserves a table now after a 9 year tradition (since they were 15.) The other goes to Denny's at 9:00 pm and everyone orders pancakes and sides and they stay until midnight talking and catching up. Again, 6 years and counting. SO I'll grab the wine and chocolate and settle in for our resident lunatics with no worry of work the next day. Maybe the more wine, the more palatable this tale cane become.

Kat I love your idea on Vitto going to the cops. Darn, that would have been a hoot watching him look the fool. Writers missed a big chance.

Daisynjay

Oh gosh, no MIVAC to record on Xmas and NewYear's Eve. Awwwww, no yelling at my TV and wanting to lanza Nerfazos at MIVAC characters on the screen? Well..... Bah! Humbug! (just kidding y'all!!!)

La Diva gets the night off for two Thursdays and so do we. I wouldn't have time to watch a Xmas Eve recording this week, even if they had an episode. New Year's day, however, I don't watch football so . . . well . . . I'll watch an episode of Amores Verdaderos since I'm recording the current rebroadcast of that one. ;-)

Lila thanks for this recap and thank you and Diva for your recaps last week I had some bizarre throat thing and then had to work overtime to catch up at work when I was well, so catching up here hasn't happened till now. Thanks

I ditto you on this " AAAAAGH!!!! Fidel advises then that Pedro should go to Assvaldo and get his help! FIDEL!!"

"Assvaldo says he hasn't been able to concentrate all day at work " and this is different from every other day how?

" We never find out how this little romp ends. Innocently, I'm sure" and yet it probably was totally innocent but it sound so bad when you say it that way

I kinda admire Fed for just going for it with the will
I know she's bad but I like her anyway

Another sparkler, Lila and my favorite line was this:

"Hijinks ensue." Yes, the crazy comes out often and easily with Benito's parents.

Started to watch this last night and realized I just didn't have the patience for these endless shenanigans and doofus decisions. But I'll be back eventually.

Daisynjay, I love the way your fellas celebrate Christmas night. Cheesecake or pancakes...either way sounds good. And you have the TV all to yourself! Golden.

Thanks Ms. Lila for watching and recapping this and keeping me up to date with the story. Worrying about that cellphone right along with the rest of you!

Mille grazie to Daisynjay, Hanna, sneaky two shoes, JudyB!

Just getting back from visiting family but did read all everyone's comments and agree, we're being set up for prolonging of the agony!

I'm happy you get two days off, Diva, but I'm like, why didn't they go for four days and give us Christmas and New Years Day as well!?

Thanks, guys. We're going to need each other's support because there is sure to be a lot of foolishness in the days ahead.

Hi folks. I also loved Fiorella's confrontation with Vitto but if she was reproaching so much his lies, in exchange he could reproach her that while being his fiancee she kissed many times with Pietro. Vitto even had a video of their kisses that Freddy gave him. Ok not justifying the old man but he even gave her some great opportunities to quit him that Fiorella didn't approach.

Good recap Lila, this is late nobody will read I
But did a comment anyhoo.
Granny el is good at acting loopy. But freddy
Really is.
Bennito- "Im crazy in love.
Gianna- "I think you're just crazy". Im with
You g-girl.
Some of these people are just ridiculously funny. I mean Dante comes in there starts yelling at Simonetta about going in the kitchen to cook, that was so funny I had to laugh out loud about that, that was really funny and then she got right back at him and then she took off into the kitchen.that was so funny. And he is head of security and Freddy's Play toy, what he doing yelling at her about cooking? I don't think pedey trust
Assboy as much as assboy thinks. we'll see as time goes on.

Grazie, Nina!
