Muchacha Italiana Viene A Casarse #85 Wed 12/23/15 (Mex 118-119) Anything can happen in the woods**

Picking up right where we left off…Does Rox know of Beni's intentions?  Well, no, not exactly, but he knows she feels the same way.  "How will you support her?  Have you not seen her collection of credit cards?  Heck, take her off my hands.  You'd be doing me a huge favor.  She spends a TON of money every week.  Look, you go propose.  If she says 'yes,' you have my blessing, and you get her out of here quickly and take her FAR away from here."  Beni can't believe his luck and gratefully embraces Eloisa.  She smiles and laughs with genuine good humor, even when Beni is so uncouth as to shout gleefully out in the hallway.  She's genuinely pleased because she feels like she's putting one over on Beni--he has no idea what he's getting himself into.

Gianna is traipsing about in the woods with a map.  She finds Gael, who was starting to get worried that she'd gotten lost.  He brought her out there so they could be away from all the crazy.  Plus he has a surprise for her.  A really big surprise.  A present to celebrate that she makes him want to be a better Gael.  She's the love of his life.  Gi agrees that she feels the same way.  Gael guides her along a path as Gi closes her eyes.  When she opens them, they're in a clearing where Gael's made them a little love nest--almost literally!  It looks like he's laid a thick comforter and pillows on top of a bed of twigs.  He's got some fires burning and then, well…they get the fires burning, ifyouknowwhatImean…andIthinkyoudo.

Aitana throws a temper tantrum, but Pedro cuts her off.  Fed's disappointed she isn't getting a show.  Fi claims she was NOT with Pedro.  She ran off with Luca, and things didn't work out.  Sergio's even a little suspicious.  Fi holds firm. She's got bills to pay and El had wanted her to keep working after her wedding anyway.  Pedro says it's all up to Granny.  The lady herself arrives and is thrilled to see "Julieta"…she drags her off to her room to chat.  Pedro screams at Aitana to get the hell out of his house.  He's tired of her crap!

And out in the woods, Gianna appears to have survived her amorous encounter with Gael.  He wanted to make sure her first time was perfect.  The best day of her life.  Gi breaks it to him that it was only ALMOST the best day of her life.  Gael's alarmed.  "The first day I saw you is still in first place."  The first kiss is in 3rd place.  Much woodsy post-coital gigglyness ensues.

Next time we see Fi, she's in the employee kitchen…whaaaaat?  She says El was upset, but then agreed to give her her job back.  Beni brings up his impending marriage and Fi is only slightly less alarmed than Joaquina.  She intends to talk him out of it, and then asks about Gianna.

Simona is happily dusting in the living room when she hears Osvaldo's abandoned cell phone ringing.  What to do?  Answer it?  Not answer it?  Which one would get her yelled at?  When Pedro hears her say Fabio's name, he gets her to ask where Fabio is…Mexico…and then set up a meeting with "Os" at a café in half an hour.  Pedro gratefully asks her not to say anything about this to anyone.  Simona returns the cell phone to the end table and gets on with her dusting.

Fabio is surprised that Pedro is the one who shows up at the café in the park.  He makes excuses about his wife being sick and then tries to hightail it out of there, but Pedro grabs him and demands an explanation for why Fabio is avoiding him.

I guess Gianna told Fi what happened in the woods.  Suddenly Fi is worried that her baby is growing up and soon she's going to want to have her own life and live somewhere else and, and, and….  She finally calms down and then is just plain giddy that Gi had her some good sex!  She keeps talking about Gi being a woman and I'm a little skeeved by that, but when Fi says "When did this happen?  Suddenly you're a woman!"  it's clear she just means that Gi has grown up without her noticing, and it's not about the sex.  Thank you, show!  Gi doesn't want anyone to know about her and Gael and Fi agrees not to tell.  She wants to know, though…were they careful?  "Aw, don't embarrass me!"  "Hey, this isn't about embarrassment!  This is very important!  What if you get pregnant?  Or you get a get a disease?  That's why you have to take care of yourself!  It's not about embarrassing you!"  Gi says she and Gael are good little med students and know perfectly well how to take precautions.  "Oh, please!  'Perfectly well….'  You're just a couple of kids!"  Fi jokes, and "Don't make me an aunt so soon!"  Sweet sister moment as Fi and Gi hug and Gi says she'll always be Fi's little girl.

Pedro explains to Fabio about Aitana and Benigno's scheme.  He accuses Fabio of being an accomplice, but Fabio sticks to the "sick wife" story.  Pedro tells Fabio that Os suspects him and Fabio nearly bursts out with "But Osvaldo's the one who…" and then he remembers that Os and Sonia will rat him out to his wife and finishes with "…the one who I wanted to talk to, because I suspected Benigno.  I'm not his accomplice.  I thought you wouldn't believe me."  Fabio claims to have proof.  Pedro threatens him that if he doesn't hand the proof over, Pedro will suspect him.  Fabio agrees to give him the proof as long as Pedro doesn't tell anybody that it was him.  Pedro plans to expose Benigno TONIGHT at a board meeting.

At the house, he tells Sonia to inform everyone there's a board meeting tonight, and it's going to be a long one, so don't make any plans.  He runs off just as Os comes in and Sonia tells him about the meeting.  Os notices the call from Fabio, and it's not a missed call, so who talked to him?  Could it be Pedro?  Os calls Fabio, who claims he's still in Italy.  "Say hi to your wife for me," Os says, in a somewhat menacing way.  Although, that could just be Os.  He thinks Fabio sounded weird.  Like he's hiding something.

Pedro sneaks up on a freshly-showered and be-robed Fi in her bedroom.  They make with the snogging.  And then…the hear Gi asking Dante rather loudly if her sister's in the room.  He replies he's not sure, he was just coming to give her some instructions.  Fi and Pedro stare at the door in panic as the doorknob turns.  They jump as Gi comes barreling in, shutting the door behind her quickly.  She tells them it was a complete coincidence that she came along and scared Dante away, and she can't be saving their bacon all the time, so they'd better be more careful!  Pedro says she won't have to--he's unmasking Benigno and Aitana TONIGHT.  If everything goes well, they can tell everyone the truth.  They snog in front of an awkward Gi and then whisper to each other like she's not standing right there trying not to look at them.  Pedro leaves after calling Gianna "bambina" (little girl) and her coming back with "adios, cuñado" (bye, brother-in-law).

Anibal comes over to Diana's without Beto, but with a laptop.  He checks to see if she got the right codes, then calls whoever has Beto and tells them to bring him over.  Creep.

Rox is planning  a party for tonight at the Rancho, since everyone will be out at the board meeting.  Gael questions the wisdom of doing that, but Rox says Granny won't even notice, 'cause she's crazy.  You stupid twit!  She maybe delusional, as far as you know, but she's not deaf!  Nor is Beni.  He heard about the party and asks if he's invited.  Well, sure, but they have to make sure no one sees them kissing.  Beni brags that it doesn't matter--he's already gotten permission from the most important person. She'll find out what he means…later.

Os and Sonia are warning Benigno and Aitana about the meeting.  They convince them to go so as to not raise suspicions.  Aitana goes after Sonia about vetoing a plan to kill Pedro, and then the two of them get into it about prison not being a great place to meet guys.  Benigno finally intervenes and tells them both to shut up!  Benigno wonders what proof Pedro could possibly have, but Os is sure he knows and he'll take care of it, so chill.  He asks if they're going to trust him or not.

Fi appears to have a new uniform.  Still a little on the "party" side, but I'm wondering if it's more of a navy blue than black…looks like something solid with a lace overlay…and she's wearing her necklace with the blue stone from Pedro, blue stone earrings, and a blue ribbon in her *sigh* yes, braided hair.  At least it's a single French braid this time.  She's making Eloisa's bed and finds the paperwork tucked between the mattresses where Eloisa had hidden it.  Eloisa walks in and (why is the door open?!) Fi says she couldn't help noticing that according to the paperwork, El is going to leave everything to Federica.  Eloisa asks if it's a bad idea.  Fi says it's none of her business, but…did El make out that will?  Eloisa tells her it's none of her business.  She goes to put the papers in her safe while Fi looks worried and says poor Doña Eloisa's going to do herself in with her dementia.

Back in the girls' room, Gi is all sparkly in preparation for Roxanna's big party.  Fi is alarmed that she's doing this with El in the house.  She reminds Gi not to let any of the family see her with Gael.  But, no worries, because they're all going to the board meeting.  I think Gi's wearing her semi-athletic shoes again.  Party on, girl!  Gi leaves and shortly thereafter, Eloisa knocks on her door.  "I want you to tell me exactly what you did, day by day, from the time you left Vitto until you came back here."

In the board room, Pedro explains he has important info that is going to shake up the company.

Fi tells Eloisa about Vitto's fake illness.  Gianluca's the one who told her about it.  But they started fighting about everything, like they did the first time they broke up.  He's a good guy, but he can be very controlling.  El says that's odd for a guy who was so in love that he stole his uncle's bride.  I'm not really following her logic there.  Fi says that's what she thought as well, and she started questioning her decisions.  El wants the details--How did she break up with him?  What did she say?

The party is in full swing, complete with lights and balloons, and a bar, and a giant teddy bear.  Gael sees another one of his ex-drug-buds at the bar.  The guy offers him some stuff, but not only does Gael turn him down, he tells him not to be bringing that stuff into his house.  "If I catch you selling in here, I'll call the cops on you."  The guy pretends there's no hard feelings, goes to hug Gael, Gael turns his head, and the guy spikes the drink in the BLUE cup.  He goes back to Gianna, all freaked out.  He explains that's his ex-dealer.

Back at the meeting, apparently Pedro has been stalling while he waits for some Important Reports.  He asks them all to be patient.  Os passes Benigno a note that says the documents will NEVER arrive.  Fidel enters, telling Pedro quietly that Fabio disappeared.  Pedro excuses himself to the bored assemblage and leaves with Fidel.  In flashback, we see Os go to Fab and confront him about giving Pedro proof.  He tells him to leave the country or he'll kill him and flashes the gun stuck down the front of his pants for emphasis.

At the party, Beni has stopped the music, so he can tell Roxana, in front of EVERYONE, that she's changed his life and he found the love of his life.  He asks her to marry him as the crowd "oohs"…is it approval or mockery?

Pedro tries calling Fabio and throws his phone in frustration.  He thinks Benigno must have found out and threatened him.  Fidel wants him to calm down, but Pedro's busy throwing things around in his office and screaming.  Fidel tells him if he doesn't chill he's going to lose everyone's confidence.  He can't sink to their level.  He'll find the way to expose them.  In the meantime, Fidel will look for Fabio.

Beni pulls Rox to the middle of the impromptu dance floor amid more ambiguous "ooh"-ing and presents Rox with an admittedly non-diamond ring.  She begs him to get up and asks him WTF he's doing?!  Beni says he's proposing, duh, and with her grandma's permission, too.  "If you say 'yes' we can get married right now."  The crowd is tittering uncomfortably.  Rox succumbs to the peer pressure and laughs at him, telling him to go wash cars or something.  "But I thought…."  She tells him he's no good at thinking and then tells the DJ to turn the music back up.  Gianna wants to go check on him, but Gael, who has been drinking from the BLUE cup, insists that Beni needs time alone, and they should DANCE!

Fabio meets with the not-so-fab-four and hands over the proof he was going to give to Pedro.  Everyone but Sonia is pleased.  She intercepts the glass of champagne Aitana is handing Os with "ladies first."  "Since when are you a lady?  Kidding, kidding!"  Os placates her with nonsense about her being his "queen" and snogging her in front of Benigno and Aitana.

Gael is feeling the effects and is angry that Gi is asking if he took some drugs.  He insists it was a glass of wine and then some mineral water.  He's upset she won't believe him.  I'm upset that Gi is unhappy that he lacked the "willpower" not to do drugs again.  What happened to "I'm a med student"?  She should know better.  Off in a corner, the dealer gloats to some other guy that he hopes this gets Gael hooked again.  Gi takes off and Gael is distracted by Rox, asking him to dance.

Fi explains to Eloisa that she thinks Luca wasn't really in love with her, just with the memory of her from when they were dating before.  So they decided to call it quits permanently.  She never should have left Gianna alone like that.  Eloisa says she has no more doubts, and what a good story.  Fi insists it's all true.  She offers to walk Eloisa back to her room, but El says she's fine--just a little tired.  She needs a vacation.  Fi suggests Señora Pilar's cabin.  *facepalm*  "And how do you know about that cabin?"

LaDiva, Thank you for you for this recap.
Fi seemed convincing enough. Roxi is a mess. Why does beni even bother?
Gael is headed for a melt down. Everyone is
Headed for a big bump in the road. I guess it'l
Be dragged out for the holiday brake. Ok to
Bed I go. Jingle jingle!!!

Thanks again LD.

Mille, mille Grazie, Diva!! Diva, I hope you don't mind but before I read your wonderful recap, I just have to say OMG!! I have never been a fan of Benito, but I feel so bad for him!!

Gael. Haven't you heard of a mickey. And I don't mean mouse. Why in the hell didn't he put the drug dealer out of his house!!??

I smell a Roxi/Bennie hookup!

Now, to the wonderful recap.

Like my brother-in-law, Fi runs her mouth too much to keep a secret. The sheer volume of words that spill out of her mouth makes it likely that the wrong ones will emerge.
Poor Benito. I suspect this is supposed to be a mere pothole in the rocky road of their love, and I call shenanigans in that. In real life, would you stay with someone who humiliated you like that? On the other hand, public proposals are always risky.

Bravo e mille grazie! This was a good episode though I wished they hadn't edited out Fiorella's talk with Eloisa. I was waiting to see if she would come out of her act thinking that Fiorella was Julietta. Oh, well. Favorite part was Pedro telling Aitana that he was tired of his crap and to get the hell off the ranch! Did she follow through and get her arse off the ranch?

Pedro and Fidel ARE NOT THINKING! Assvaldo tried to kill him and thinks he boinked his wife...said wife, uber skank Sonia, never told Pedro he did not boink her! I know all this confusion over who's the traitor and refusal to involve the lawyers is so the show can be dragged on for tens of episodes!! I know it's going to be resolved but it's maddening!

Didn't Fidel tell Pedro he was going to look for Fabio? Okay, well, we know this will be a big reveal so in the meantime we have these other side stories to entertain us.

As above, felt badly for Benito but Roxi hadn't exactly been giving him signs that she was still head over heals! Aaaand Gael has fallen in such a stupid way. There is no way a recovering addict should allow his "ex" drug dealer anywhere near his house, what a dummy!

Anywho! Thank you so much, Diva!

Thank so much, Kat. I watched this episode. Yay! So sad to see Gael and Gi go from sweet lovemaking in the woods (yay, she survived!), to fights and misunderstandings after he got drugged against his will. I was worried he'd have another seizure.

I thought the conversation between Fi and Gi about Gi growing up so fast was cute. And considering how Fi grilled Gi about using protection, I assume she used protection with Pedro too.

It seems that Pedro told Os (in a cut scene) the purpose of the meeting. So dumb. Even Fabio told him not to tell Os anything. Why's he so concerned about his wife finding out he had an affair? Is she the one who holds the purse strings?

Fi and Pedro are a perfect fit. Can't keep their mouths shut around people they should be careful of.

I did love when Pedro finally told Aitana to get out of his house.

Gracias, Nina! Well, as they keep reminding us, Beni is a fool...for love. How many more cliches can I throw in there...to each his own. It takes all kinds to make a world. Opposites attract. The heart wants what it wants. *sigh*

Gracias, Lila! I give Roxi five minutes after the confetti is swept up before she goes looking for Beni to pout at him and tell him not to take it personally and she does love him, "but...."

Hi Terri R. I thought Fi's accidental slip felt really fake. Livia did what she could to sell it, but Fi never struck me as that particular brand of stupid.

Gracias, Vivi! Hey, yeah, how come Fi didn't get grilled on whether she and Pedro were "safe"? Maybe that's so she wouldn't have to admit they didn't use contraception and there's potentially a little Angeles de Bianchi on the way?

I think it's either that Fabio's wife is the one with the money or maybe that the courts would give her all the money if she divorced him for infidelity after having his FOUR children!

Oh yeah! I forgot! That Fifi! Darn it all! She has really put her foot in her mouth now! Jeezopete, I couldn't believe it when she said that about Pilar's villa! Then, she didn't stop! If she'd stopped for a minute she could say she heard tell of it but NOOOO, she had to say how pretty it was giving evidence that she had first hand knowledge of it! DOH, Fifi!

Vivi, so right about Petey and Fifi. Assvaldo did tell his cronies that Pedro himself told him what the secret, emergency board meeting was about. His failure to realize Assvaldo is behind this is so frustrating, I hope it doesn't drag on too long!

Diva – Thank you for the wonderful recap!

Interesting, when Sonia intercepted that champagne with “ladies first”, that Os smoothly took it right out of Sonia’s hand and he had the first sip. Did Sonia notice that? I hope so.

I hate that Fiorella is doing so much lying because this stuff always comes back to haunt one. After accusing Vitto of being a liar, I don't like that she now is one, too. Especially because this is not how one FFTL. (drink! chocolate!)

My telenovela beanie hat flew off my head when I watched that woods tryst.
FIRST – the fires. WHAT was he thinking? Were they contained? This is how forest fires get started! Smokey The Bear’s warning kept rumbling through my brain. There were at least two fires!
SECOND - A bed of twigs and sticks? Outside? Where there are ticks, chiggers, ‘skeeters, random passersby hiking, or drones with cameras? Only a beach scene (beach sand grit!) would compare.
Eh, well, that setting just does not appeal.

At least we got a PSA for safe sex. Gah.

Ay, poor Benito. Bad timing, bad judgement, bad location.

Diva, awesome recap. Thank you. I loved Rox's outfit, Fed should take lessons. Wow poor Benito. Rox shot him down with an AK45. He was the one who got surprised. Hope he recovers from this. Pedro had better put his thinking cap on. The only person he confided in was Assvaldo, so if Fabio is missing? One plus one. Benigno should still be in the dark so if he knows, who told him. Hope my boy connects the dots soon or he is in for a bumpy ride. Diarrhea of the mouth always leads to trouble. Wonder how Fi is going to get out of that one.
Have a very merry Christmas and for those who don't celebrate happy holidays.

Hanna

Love how you retell a tale Kat, thanks.

"she couldn't help noticing that according to the paperwork, El is going to leave everything to Federica" Come on Fifi isn't that smart to understand legalese.

Oh boy, I was laughing so hard at Fifi acting the woman of experience. Two days Fifi, you got laid two days before Gianna.

Also entertaining is Petey throwing a fit. That little rooster head of his worked so hard figuring and planning. Poor wittle thang.

It was painfully awkward Benito proposing in public, don't like him but that was brutal. I hope he doesn't get a distressed Gianna as a consolation prize though.

The flames bothered me but Gael's intent didn't. They are so cute together I don't care if they were on an air mattress headed for Niagara Falls.

Gracias, doris! Eek, that's a good point. Fi's being a pretty big lying liar herself. But, but, but...it's for a good cause? Yeah, I dunno.

OK, I'm laughing at your objections to the outdoor lovin'! Especially the fires, yes those were little baby bonfires there and the wind was definitely blowing. Yikes!

Gracias, Hanna! Pedro's not so good at math, sadly.

Gracias, tofie! Oh, no, now normally I'd say you're absolutely correct and Fi should not have been able to make heads or tails out of that will, but from what they showed, it was written in Telenovela Legalese, which is WAY easier. And that had the line about Fed inheriting everything very helpfully isolated in its own very short paragraph.

Pedro needs to get all his ducks in a row so he Wont end up lookin like a complete imbecile.
He should plan carefully before trying to
Expose the bad people. And that dosen't
Look good for him knowing he's keepin a rather big secret himself. Get it together man.
And he's supposed to be the smart one in the family.

I have to think about that. Is he the smart one? Have they ever really said he was? He's allegedly good at running the business, but does he necessarily have to be smart to do that? Os has definitely not ever been billed as smart, yet somehow he manages to do the math Pedro couldn't and figure out what's going on with just the tiniest hints? Hm. I call shenanigans!

Oh well Diva that is how telenovelandia functions.
Good people= Stupid and dumb, they never know what happens around them and always trust the wrong persons
Baddies= Smart and hypocrite, they always have everything under control and fool everybody but they they don't trust in nobody.

You got a point LaDiva. Os did the math pedey didn't. But he is dumb enough to think he Wont get caught. Thats what being cocky does For you. Lets you think you wont
Get caught. And osy ain't to bright. And also
Pedro is displaying some lack of brigjtness too. O these Angeles people. An fiorella has
Joined them.

M E R R Y ☆ C H R I S T M A S patio people!!!

I hope you're all having a lovely day, however you spend it!

Diva - thank you and I hope you are having a wonderful day, too! We are off to see Star Wars in an hour. :-)

Ooh, have fun, doris!

Thank you, Diva! You and all my Patio Peeps have a wonderful day as well. Just a warning: family is over for dinner tonight, I may not get the recap up until Saturday morning. Sorry!

Enjoy your dinner, Lila! Don't harsh your buzz with this show until you're ready...hahaha!

Lilagirl this Is the end of a hard year for some
Not so much for others. Hold your family close and love them. Enjoy this holiday. Don't
Worry about the recap, we'll read it when we
Read it.
Have yourself a merry little christmas!!!! :-D

What is **Sondheim? Just a little curious
