Yo No Creo en los Hombres #109, Wednesday 12/16/15: Claudio is Outed (Again)

Thanks Tofie, Victoria, GoBlueFan, Anon207, and Urban! Between all of you, we have a really great mini-recap of this episode. I can’t wait to see it!

Max files a petition to have a doctor see MD. The warden calls Ursula, telling her she will comply, but the doctor can be someone of Ursula's choosing. Ursula wants a doctor to say there are complications at birth, so that she’ll be able to take the child.

At Julian’s graveside, Jenny resolves that though she wasn't the love of Julian's life, she was the first woman he danced with and kissed, and she will have his child. He will live on through this child for her, and it will give Honoria a reason to live. Later, as a doctor describes the artificial insemination procedure to Jenny and Fermin, there is concern on Jenny's face as the required condition of her reproductive organs is discussed.

Josefa and Honoria go to Ursula to find out what is taking so long, after they both provided information to assist Ursula. Honoria wants to know why MD's trial hadn't begun- she wants justice for Julian and wants Maria Dolores convicted of the crime. Josefa wants info on Marta's death. Ursula shares that Romina, a friend and coworker of Marta's, told a different version of the story. Marta wanted to get away from Josefa, and she was in a consensual relationship with Monterubio, who was married. However, his family would never allow Monterubio to marry Marta, just like Claudio would never marry Isela, and she would never allow Daniel to marry Maria Dolores. Monterubio and his family framed Marta for the robbery, and his friend Claudio helped send her to prison with the maximum sentence.

Isela and Ivana begin a conversation about Ivana's impending marriage to Gerry- when, where, etc.,  but it ends with Ivana dismissing her and breaking down in tears, after she asks to feel the child in Isela’s womb.

Orlando has a grand reopening celebration of his garage with food, drinks, dancing, and a blessing from Padre Juan. Doris arrives when Orlando is dancing with Corina and becomes jealous. She feels there is always another woman in her way-- Orlando still runs to help Isela when she calls, and now Corina, a former prostitute.

MD is repairing a blouse given to her by an inmate while she is in solitary. A letter arrives from La Abuela, with an abortion pill enclosed. She restates the same reasons for aborting, but also discloses that the Bustamantes and Santibañez are going to take her baby, and that Claudio is responsible for keeping her in jail so she will have her baby there. Therefore, it would be a breeze to take her baby. Abuela then enters the cell, locks the door which her posse guards, and starts beating MD to make her take the pill. MD throws the pill across the floor.  Her water breaks, she starts to bleed, and general mayhem ensues. The warden alerts Ursula that MD is in labor.  Ursula wants Jacinto to retrieve the quack doctor and send him into the prison to attend Maria Dolores. The warden doesn’t want a doctor in the prison, because she doesn’t want it to come back on her if something bad happens. She is going to get the nurse, and possibly send MD to the hospital. MD sends Nayeli to call Max.

Ursula calls a doctor to attend MD and demands a test for paternity, ASAP. Arango points out this child is not full term (if it’s Dan’s), and Ursula and Dan discuss the real possibility the child might be Max's. Dan wants to reject the child if it is not his, but Ursula maintains it doesn't matter. What better revenge on Max than to take his child from him?

Alma returns from the doctor with Claudio, and has surprisingly lived longer than expected. She credits the impending birth of her grandchild for giving her something to live for. Alma shows Max how she and Leo remade Isela's room into a nursery, so they can bring the baby by after MD gets out of jail. Max looks sad, and Alma asks him why. Max tells her that he has been trying and trying, but Maria Dolores' trial keeps getting delayed, and no one will tell him why. But he’s determined to get to the bottom of it. Claudio looks guilty and changes the subject.

Later, Honoria and Josefa run into the Bustamante house, and Honoria calls out Claudio for having Maria Dolores' trial delayed. Alma and Max have looks of pure shock on their faces.

Previews: Alma faints.

Claudio.

Poor Alma.

Near the end of the episode, MD starts bleeding, and the warden thinks she is having a miscarriage. Ursula is frantic and she wants the warden to send in a doctor. Because this isn't possible at the last moment, Ursula wants Jacinto to retrieve the quack doctor and send him into the prison to help Maria Dolores.

Max finds out that his father has been getting his lawyer friends to delay MD's trial so that she stays in jail longer. The look on Claudio's face when this fact comes out is priceless. I wonder what Max will say to his father after this?

Did we ever find out for sure why Claudio wants to delay MD's trial? Is it because he is being pressured by Ursula?

What happened was Honoria & Josefa busted up in the Bustamante house, and Honoria said she wanted justice for Julian, she wanted Maria Dolores convicted of the crime and Maria Dolores couldn't get convicted since Claudio kept having the trial delayed.

Max and Alma had looks of pure shock on their faces,

Claudio looked busted.

Josefa had the smirk of a lifetime.

Also, apparently Monterrubio & Marta had some sort of relationship, much like Claudio & Isela. Romina, the woman at the bank told a totally different story than what Josefa had been telling; I was confused on the details. I did know Ursula told Josefa that the Monterubio family would never allow Monterubio to marry Marta, just like Claudio would never marry Isela & she would never allow Daniel to marry Maria Dolores,

I forget, earlier in the show Alma showed Max how she and Leo remade Isela's room into a nursery so they could bring the baby by after she gets out of jail. Max looked sad. Alma asked him why he was sad. Max told her that he was trying & trying but Maria Dolores' trial kept getting delayed and no one would tell him why, but he was going to get down to the bottom of it. Claudio looked guilty and changed the subject.

Then later, that's when Honoria & Josefa ran up in the Bustamante house and Honoria called out Claudio for having Maria Dolores' trial delayed, with Alma & Max in pure shock. The avances show Alma fainting.

#### Josefa was at Ursula's house with Honoria and, from a past friend / cellmate, found out that Marta was having an affair with her banker / boss; and Claudio was given a lot of money by his banker friend (Marta's boss) to see that she was sentenced to the maximum.

#### Orlando opened his taller with a big celebration, food, drinks, dancing, and blessing from the neighborhood priest. And again Doris is jealous because Orlando danced with Corina.

#### MD received a letter from Abuela while she was in solidarity saying that the Bustamontes and Santibanes were going to take her baby and that Claudio was keeping her in jail so she would have her baby there; and, therefore, it would be a breeze to take her baby. Abuela also sent the abortion pill with the letter. Then she entered the cell and started hitting on MD to make her take the pill. MD threw it across the floor. Nayeli ran and called Max telling him (right before the confrontation with Claudio) that MD was about to lose the baby.

Ursula wants a paternity test right away once the baby comes but Danny-boy said no until Ursula said the greatest revenge on Max would be if they take the baby; and it's Max's. ( Guess they'll sell it to Ivana then). Ivana got all emotional when she felt Isela's baby move and then starting crying.

The warden didn't want a doctor in the prison because she didn't want it to get back on her back if something bad happened, she was going to get the nurse and possibly send MD to the hospital.

#### Jenny saw a doctor about AI but was informed about the procedure.

I didn't get whether Marta was set up or not.

Max filed a petition to have a doctor see MD, the warden called Ursula telling her she would comply but whom the doctor was could be someone of Ursula's choosing. Ursula wants a doctor to say there are complications at birth and be able to take the child.

At graveside Jenny resolved, though she wasn't the love of Julian's life she was the first woman he danced with and kissed, and will have his child. He would live on through this child for her and give Honoria a reason to live. Later as a doctor described the procedure to Jenny and Fermin there was concern on Jenny's face as the condition of reproductive organs was discussed.

Josefa and Honoria went to Ursula to find out what was taking so long after both provided information to assist Ursula. For Honoria why MD's trial hadn't begun and Josefa Marta's death. Romina, a friend and coworker of Marta's told a different version. Marta wanted to get away from Josefa, she was in a consensual relationship with Monterubio, he was married, he and his family framed her and Claudio helped keep her in prison.

Isela and Ivana began a conversation about Ivana's impending marriage to Gerry, when, where, etc and ended with Ivana dismissing her as she broke down after she asked to feel the child in womb.

Orlando had a grand reopening celebration of his garage and Doris arrived when Orlando was dancing with Corina. Doris feels there is always another woman in her way. Orlando still runs to help Isela when she calls and now Corina, a former prostitute.

MD is repairing a blouse given to her by an inmate and finds a letter and abortion pill from Abuela. She restates the same reasons for aborting but discloses Claudio is responsible for keeping her in jail. Her water breaks, general mayhem, the warden alerts Ursula MD is in labor and MD sends Nayeli to call Max. Abuela arrives, locks the door, roughs MD up and realizes MD is not miscarrying but in labor when she throws the pill on the floor. The warden arrives but cannot enter the locked door. Abuela continues to beat MD as two prisoners look on but uncomfortable with what they are witnessing.

Ursula calls a doctor to attend MD and demands a test for paternity ASAP as Arango points out this child is not at term and Ursula and Dan discuss the real possibility the child might be Max's. Dan wants to reject the child if it is not his and Ursula maintains it doesn't matter and what better revenge on Max than to take his child from him.

Alma returns from the doctor with Claudio and shockingly lived longer than expected. She credits the impending birth, giving her something to live for and with Leo decorated a nursery. Max laments his difficulty with freeing MD and something is amiss but he will get to the truth. Later Josefa and Honoria enter the home and Honoria confronts Claudio disclosing he is delaying MD's trial.

I have been wondering for a long time whether the trial delays in Mexico are designed so that evidence is lost, witnesses forget or are manipulated, and the chance of a conviction is increased.

That is the obvious reason here although Claudio still has to explain himself.

One detail that stood out for me: Honoria seems aware that Danny-Boy is responsible for the actual gunfire, but she still wants to punish MD for not loving Julian the way she wanted her to. That is more important to her than making sure Danny-Boy pays for his crimes. Obviously she hasn't been influenced by the padre if she talked to him at all.

Abuela went BSC when she saw that MD didn't take the abortion pill and began beating the crap out of her. Her posse kept the cell door locked.

No legal authority has done anything to Jacinto or Danny-Boy for the kidnapping and abuse of Corina, who appears to have said nothing to Max about MD being in ad seg.

The presumption of guilt instead of innocence encourages a corrupt system.

I think Honoria is coming around and knows Dan is the one really responsible and hope, if Jenny can carry Julian's child, a grandchild will soften her.

Oh wow! Sounds like quite an episode. Thanks for all the details everyone! I'll post in the main body once I get to the office.

With Jenny's history of substance abuse I'd be concerned about that.

Not just the substance abuse but her fatalistic drunken promiscuity may have increased the risk of an STD and damage to her reproductive system

Everybody, thanks for the bullet points.

Yay, Claudio is outed. But so sad for Alma.

Yay, Honoria seems to be gaining her senses.

Jenny needs help. In addition to a repro system that may have been harmed by booze and STDs, does she know whether there's a possibility that the child would inherit Julian's illness? I hated seeing her with that ring that Julian did not intend for her.

Indeed; both reasons.

I really hate that Honoria has gone to the dark side. She could not control or in any way influence Fermin's alcoholism so is this what she's really taking out on MD? You have no control over whether anyone loves you or how they love you. Everyone tried to tell her that MD couldn't help how she felt about Julian. Even he eventually accepted it.

Wow, Max is going to kill Claudio. I can't wait to see Claudio try to squirm out of that one. There is no forgiveness for that.

So Claudio is responsible for what happened to Marta. And Isela gets to have his baby. Now I'm kind of glad that Josefa is trying to ruin him.

Is Honoria gaining her senses? She knows Dannyboy is responsible for Julian's death but still wants Maria Dolores locked up because she FriendZoned Julian. She's not pressing for Dannyboy to get justice, she's actively working with her son's murderer's mom to lock Maria Dolores up.

Now Doris is jealous of Corina the former prostitute but Corina doesn't seem interested in Orlando. Doris is taking out her frustrations about Orlando on Corina. It is not Corina's fault Orlando jumps up to Isela's needs every day.

I'm thinking Marta was pregnant with Monterubio's child and Abuela either gave her the abortion pill, which ended up killing her OR Marta refused to take the pill (like Maria Dolores) and Abuela killed her for not taking the pill.

No matter what happens the warden needs to be fired because Abuela is running the prison and not her. What kind of prison is this, that the warden & the guards have to beg a prisoner to open up the door? I guess the kind of prison where that prisoner has "information" on the warden.

Romina claims Marta & Monterubio were having a relationship & Monterubio & his family paid Clod to keep Marta behind bars as long as possible. Why was Josefa so agitated? Doesn't this corroborate her story that Clod sent Marta to jail unjustly?

It does corroborate part of what Josefa believes. Marta was imprisoned with Claudio's help and Marta was not a thief but I think she became agitated when Romina said Marta willingly entered the relationship with Monterubio and wanted to get away from Josefa, she the one harassing her. They have to introduce us to Monterubio and now wonder if Marta began the relationship upon Josefa's urging.

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but I didn't see as much crazy in Honoria's eye nor as much froth in her spittle.

What motive would Hosefa have had to push Marta into a relationship with a married man who was her boss? It does echo with the notion of history repeating itself, but if the is the case, Hosefa ruined both Marta's life and Isela's along with Claudio's family.

Doris' insecurities are escalating now that she knows Orlando's backstory. She is probably taking the leap that he has more in common with Corina as well as Corina being thinner than she is.

In a world where many if not most guys Orlando's age would think Marilyn Monroe was fat, Doris' feelings aren't unrealistic.

I've taken all if your comments and cobbled together a recap. Thanks again everyone.

I can NOT wait to see how Max reacts to Claudio. This is so beyond betrayal at this point. I would drop the Bustamante last name totally if I were Max or Leo. I wouldn't even want the man's name associated with mine.

Urban- "What motive would Hosefa have had to push Marta into a relationship with a married man who was her boss?"

Even with her ultimate goal being revenge against Clod, we saw how much Josefa enjoy the spoils of Isela's relationship with the Bustamantes, especially the money. Remember how put out she was about Isela getting that nice apartment and she (Jo) not being permitted to live with her there. I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to live off of Marta's rich lover.

My theory, based on Romina claiming Josefa was harassing Marta:

* Josefa was harassing Marta, claiming she seduced Josefa's husband and now she's stuck with Isela.

* Marta began the relationship with Monterubio because he was rich & the bank president / bank president's son.

* Either some funny business went down at the bank and Marta was the scapegoat OR (if Monterubio was the bank president's SON at the time) Daddy Monterubio set up Marta for stealing to get rid of her.

* Claudio was buddies with Daddy Monterubio & sentenced Marta to a nice, hefty sentence in prison.

* Marta was pregnant with Monterubio's child.

* Granny found out & either gave Marta the pill (which killed her) or Granny killed her for not taking the pill.

* Marta is dead. That wasn't supposed to happen. Warden fakes a suicide letter to cover up Marta's murder.

* Claudio investigates the prison. He finds irregularities & threatens to bring the pain but ultimately does nothing.

* Josefa is consumed with guilt & begins her quest to bring down Claudio.

CLAUDIO APPEARS TO BE THE CLEAN UP MAN FOR THE RICH PEOPLE ON THIS SHOW. BUT WHY?

So, my theory of why Claudio had Maria Delores' trial delayed was to keep Maria Dolores away from Msx & if she met an unfortunate fate in jail, who cares because Maria Dolores is a nobody, just like Marta was a nobody.

Why Claudio is certainly the question. I'm no fan of Clod's, but I don't like that he's now seemingly the worst villain and has no conscience. In the beginning, though the spark was out of his marriage, he seemed to value his wife and sons and thought enough of his professional integrity that he wouldn't even help Max when he was jailed.

Obviously, Clod will become more of a focus in these last few weeks. We still don't really know what/how/why he was involved in the Marta case. All of this is just speculation on Ursula's part right now as to his role in framing/prosecuting Marta. We also have not yet been made privy to why he is keeping MD locked up. Hopefully, tonight we'll find out when Max confronts him.

Someone pointed out the other day that there is a reason why Alejandro Camacho's name appears first in the credits, and that this story is really about him. Now, more than ever, that's certainly the case. He is the only character involved in the three major cases of injustice at the heart of this story-- Hector, Marta, and Maria Dolores.

Claudio has the public image of this incorruptible judge, who is tough on crime and doesn't tolerate shenanigans. Leaving Max in jail only backs up this Big Bad Claudio image he's built for himself. He only helped Max out of jail when he learned Dannyboy was trying to pin his Jacinto beatdown injuries on Max. Leaving Maria Dolores, his son's fiancee, in jail also bolsters that "Claudio tough on crime" image.

But as we've learned (and Alma/Max/Leo) throughout the show & as his layers were pulled back, Claudio is NOT incorruptible. Claudio has fixed Hector's murder, Maleny's suicide, purposely had Maria Dolores' trial delayed indefinitely and apparently IS involved the coverup of Marta's murder. I'd like to know what does Abuela have on the warden that would have the warden on the same side of the bars as Abuela and what Claudio has to do with it.

Claudio's anvil should be to be publically unmasked as this extremely corrupt judge and Alma/Max/Leo should be the ones to snatch the curtains back on him.

I think I might have answered my last question:

Theory:

Monterubio was having an affair with Marta. Perhaps he was stealing from the bank.

Irregularities are found; Marta is arrested.

Based on the evidence he had, Claudio sentenced Marta to prison. (at this point Claudio has done nothing wrong)

We know the Warden is corrupt. We know from Abuela that the Warden did something that would land her on Abuela's side of the bars. We know for the right price, the Warden will do what rich people on the outside tell her to do. We know the Warden lets Abuela run the prison.

What if the warden killed Marta on Monterubio's orders & got Abuela to take the rap (I think Abuela is a lifer) & Claudio (doing a favor for Monterubio) covered it up?

I need Max, Alma & Leo to snatch that curtain back on Claudio so bad...

Niece
If I'm not mistaken, Julian's disease was inherited from his mother not his father. Remember Josefina blamed Fermin for years about Julian inheriting it from Fermin which is what drove Fermin to drink and doom. Julian found he inherited it from his mom when he started visting the doctor by himself.

I don't think Josefa pushed Marta into robbery. Romina said that Marta was sacred to death that Josefina would find out she was having an affair with her boss/married man. I think Marta was a patsy for being set up by Claudio and Monterbio. Do you really think Marta could have stolen enough money to make the robbery worthwhile. Guess Mexico doesn't have strict teller procedures as here.

Also IMO Abuela killed her.

So the sh*t his the fan tonight. Max goes after his father, MD goes to the doctor and maybe has her baby. Such bleeding! But she'll probably not miscarry because of TN rules.

Most of this is just conjecture, not spoilers.

Can't wait to read what will be posted next.

Claudio turning on his own makes him the rattiest of rat finks but when he is outed it gives cover to another rat, Isela and she can play poor pitiful me more. It unsettled me, Isela sitting there discussing wedding details with Ivana.

I think the Abuela told the Warden she could go back to her "little side flings" (cellmate girlfriends). Which is just one of the things Abuela has on the Warden.
I'm so glad that Corina was released, but I don't think this lawyering on Max's part will make MD trust him more.

Tofie, I agree with your latest post. That was definitely creepy.

I also likek Anon207's speculation on Claudio's involvement in the Marta situation. He may have covered up for Monterrubio, Jr at the behest of Monterubio, Sr. That makes total sense and is the other side of the coin of not helping his own son when he was arrested for the beat-down he gave Danny-Boy.

Since we have not had any proof yet as to who forged the suicide letter, I'm guessing it was the warden who forged it. That it's dated a day earlier says to me that whatever plans were made for Marta's demise could not be carried out on the day and were delayed until the next. This makes Marcia an accessory, an accomplice, or the mastermind of her murder.

So we're not even sure who Isela's real father is, are we? Could be Marta's rapist step-father, or the wealthy banker Monterrubio? Is Monterubbio the guy we met talking to Maleny who was very concerned about his name getting out in public? That privacy is gone now, buddy!

I don't think Claudio started out evil, but he got sucked in to making some very bad decisions at the start of this (Hector, Marta) in order to protect rich friends, and now he's decided his reputation is more important that actual people. He's retired and doesn't have much time to make up for any scandal, and thinks he can keep his good name above all the criminality. It was working out pretty well for him until Max friended the barrio and gave the two sides reason to care about each other. And Honorio has some serious issues now, but good for her confronting Clod in front of the family. So now what? His reputation is shot with the boys and they aren't going to keep quiet. So does he give up or double down? Either way, he's a jerk who shouldn't be allowed near his family again.

So either Isela wants his money and company bad enough to let him start the whole "family" thing over again. Or she dies in childbirth and allows Ivana to take custody. (Can't see her allowing the adoption otherwise). I liked that Ivana could be civil to Isela, at least until she felt the baby move. But she didn't go crazy and yell, but just asked for time alone. She still needs therapy.

Kelly

Kelly- No. Marta was an adult working for Monterubio. Isela was already a girl at the time. Marta was a child of about 13 when Isela was born. Monterubio is not Isela's father.

The guy Maleny met with was a ballistics expert. Not banker Monterubio.

Great Team Work, YoNo Afficionados. So many important conversations I wasn't able to hear or understand, and in the end, it didn't matter at all. The recap captured it all.

One thing, MD's bleeding started before there was any intervention by others coming to her cell. I'm surprised (but not by TN LAW) that abue was pounding on MD's back. Abue would have known the bleeding was not normal, miscarriage imminent and if her object was to have MD abort, she would have beaten her belly.

I am reminded The Warden was only a guard at the time of Marta's internment. But, that doesn't gloss over that she has secrets to hide and abue knows what they are. She could very well have had something to do with Marta's death--accidentally or not. Whatever the reason, it has to be big enough for her to let abue *run* the prison. It also makes the warden's job easier, keeping an overcrowded prison full of disgruntled or desperate women from rioting.

So, we can probably conclude the bebe is Max's, no? The minute Arango mentioned that it was not full-term was a give away to viewerville. MD did look a bit big for 7 months and she was a fairly small woman to begin with. I hope Max insists on a DNA test, too, if MD and the baby survive.

Can't wait to hear Clod slither his way out of this slime hole he created.

I've been hoping all along that the baby is Max's. MD doesn't deserve to have to see Danny-Boy's face in her child, which is what happened to La Abuela and her grandson. Not that MD would react the same way, but that would not be an easy thing to live with.

The Karmageddon discussion will post in the morning. I've seen tonight's episode and this is updated through it. If anyone can think of a detail I missed, please post it to the discussion this time and I will update the article. I'll be around most of the day tomorrow but will be going to a classic movie in the evening called Double Indemnity.

Urban Thanks again for doing the karmageddon page for each novela you recap. It's a great idea.

Wow Double Indemnity what a great movie.

Vivi- Thanks for the clarification. I think I need a chart to keep track.

That prison can't even keep solitary confinement solitary. How can they be expected to do anything right? Abuela was beating on MD because she was mad at realizing that MD didn't take the abortion pill she sent. Never mind that MD was already bleeding and possibly miscarrying. They need to fix that solitary cell and lock Abuela in it.

UA- Classic film noir! The perfect antidote to all the Christmas cheer (and a good movie to boot).

Kelly

Urban--You just love Karmageddons, don't you? I always look forward to your take on what punishments our characters deserve. This will be a tough one. Just about everyone here did *something* wrong that deserves some kind of punishment, even Maria Dolores.

One of the things I've noticed about Televisa's novelas is how the punishment often fits the crime. In recent times I've been a little frustrated with situations where there is no fitting punishment meted out, such as in MCET and a few examples where the punishment was inadequate.

For all that most of you seemed to hate FELS, I think all four villains met the appropriate ends for them.

BTW, as soon as I hit the post button I realized that the movie is on Saturday afternoon. There are two more noirs on Sunday. Love that genre and I wish Televisa would do a noir novela.

Thanks everyone for the quick and dirty recap lol.

When Josefa and Honoria went to see Ursula I was like "OMG, the three witches in the same room". Honoria crossed over to the dark side after Julian died. Her anger is misplaced.

UA, I think QTPD had the worst Karmageddons of any TN I've seen.

TF. -- How about Amor Bravío? And Lucro in Mañana es para Siempre (gross)!!

Victoria Gomez--- The Karmageddons in AB were definitely at the other end of the spectrum compared to QTPD. The ones in QTPD were lame and the ones in AB were jaw dropping. Getting shot and then telling the person who shot you to stab you because you aren't dead yet is nothing compared to getting your tongue cut out and your hands burned.

I think Barbara Greco burning herself up to a crisp with only 3 strands of hair left to get her daughter's attention (and not getting it, only a picture of her grandchild* & a note saying "Uh maybe I'll visit you, I guess") is a pretty bad punishment.

Seeing that little crispy hand reaching out to get the letter from the daughter and the 3 strands of hair was very shocking.

*Grandchild was a product of 2 first cousins having sex.

ANON207
I forgot about 'Lo que no puede amar', Susana Gonzalez was left like Lucero.

Clod deserves some hefty punishment which he will likely get. A big clue to me that his punishment will be heavy is that when Padre Juan asked if he wanted to confess before their heart-to-heart, he said "no." I'm not Catholic but I've watched enough tns to know his failure to confess his sins to the priest, even to shock the priest with the secrets while keeping them quiet, which a lot of tn villains do, tells me he's not gonna get redemption since he rejected it when it was offered. Also, even though Clod has lost his family's respect, his family has still treated him very respectfully-there was no shouting or drama at his betrayals, except by Leo and everyone stopped him from going overboard - and the fact that he betrayed MD after the relative slap on the wrist he got from his family, and the fact he swore and reneged to a dying Alma to get MD's trial moved up so she could see the baby, tells me he's pretty evil but masks it under his tough-on-crime reputation. I, too, hope Max and Leo unmask him.

JdesdeNYC- Remember Max punched Clod when he found out about the affair. But he apologized for doing that after speaking to Padre Juan (but didn't go as far as forgiving him).

I'm so glad that the scene where Honoria and Josefa spill the beans about Claudio making sure that MD stays in jail was at the end of this episode because that means we can see the fallout at the beginning of the next show.

Max had just mentioned that the difficulty he was having in MD's case was odd, and that he couldn't figure out what was stalling it. Now if Claudio tries to deny doing anything, he will feel pretty sure that Claud's lying.

Vivi, getting punched in the face and an apology for it by his son for it was soft to me. Max has shown he forgave Clod by not being resentful of Isela's baby.

I don't think Max not being resentful of the baby is a sign he's forgiven Clod. It's a sign that unlike Leo, he's a adult, realizes the baby is his sibling, and isn't at fault for the way it was conceived.

Cathyx
When Max was in the baby's room, in his parent's house, talking about the "fishy" delay in MD's trial, I swear I think Alma looked at Claudio with eyes that said "I know you have something to do with the trial delay." Thus she told Max to go to all lengths to get to the bottom of it.
IMO

Victoria, that could be. It's hard to read into some expressions. They're only as good as their acting abilities.

Speaking of Alma, I love that these actresses aren't shying away from not using makeup at times. Like at night time, they are without makeup, just like real life. And with Alma sick, no makeup is making her look like she really is ill.

Vivi, lovely recap. The epy is what it is. The
Actors are good really at there parts. And now jenny is hatin her, why she's about get
Pregnant by in vitro? if she hasn't ruined it with all that alcoho. She'll probably try to figure out a way to blame MB for that too.
I don't like honoria's hatred for md. Its evil. I
Wish that situation will change soon.
That granny lady should have been put in a
Mental hospital instead of prison.
Iam so glad the sh*t has hit the fan for clod.
I hope max go to town kickin his stuckup but

Poor poor MD. THE GIRL NEEDS A BRAKE.
BEFORE SHE DIES. which I hope don't come
To pass.
This is almost over, so it'll get crazier.
