Yo No Creo En Los Hombres, #111 Friday 12/18/15

I’m filling in for JdesdeNYC. I had no ccs for this one, so I did the best I could with understanding what’s going on. No doubt I missed stuff and got stuff wrong. If you would kindly point it out in the comments, I will make adjustments to the recap.

We start where we ended yesterday with Alma reaming out Claudio for what he’s done to her and the family, etc. Hangdog stoneface leaves the room.

MD and Max are talking in the hospital after she gave birth about Claudio’s involvement in her continued stay at the prison. After asking the same question we all have been asking, why, Max’s said that Ursula had continued threatening him about outing his slimy reputation so he agreed to slime it some more by doing what she asked.
She tells him that the Santibanez want to take their baby from them too. She pleads with him to not let the baby out of his sight.

In the hospital lobby, Claudio is making a call to the person who helped him keep MD in jail longer to tell him it’s no longer necessary to do that. Leo is standing right behind him and hears him on the phone. Claudio hangs up and sees Leo and tells him that he’s trying to fix things. Leo tells him that he’s only trying to clear his conscience because he’s never going to be able to fix all the time MD lost in the prison or giving Alma the peace she wanted before she died.

Isela is all bored in her apartment so she calls Orlando, who happens to still be at the hospital waiting room with everyone else. She asks what’s up and he tells her that MD had the baby. Doris is sitting next to him and hearing the conversation and is rolling her eyes at this. (I know Doris, I am too). The baby girl is fine but small.

Max comes out and Orlando hangs up. Everyone rushes to ask about MD. He says that she’s worried because she wants to see the baby, but they took her away. Chulita chimes in that the most important thing they can do for the baby’s health is let her breast feed, because the cholostrum is what the baby needs right now. And the ladies chime in with a PSA about the benefits of cholostrum. Corina slaps them with some reality that since she gave birth early, she may not have breast milk.

Ivana is preparing her house for her big day. She’s informing the maids that she’s now divorced and ready to start her new life. She lets them know that she’s marrying Jerry, and they are happy for her. The cold wet blanket of joy descends the staircase and asks when she was going to tell her this news. Ivana won’t let her ruin her happiness, she gives them the rest of their orders and they leave. Susana spits her usual Ivana venom, but Ivana tells her that if she doesn’t like what she’s doing, she can leave. Bottom line of their discussion, Jerry isn’t after her fortune like Susana is, everything she has will go to her child.

Back at the hospital waiting room, everyone is trying to get everyone else to leave, it’s almost like a comedy routine. Esperanza doesn’t want to leave with Dan and family hanging around. Corina asks the $100,000 question, how did they know about MD giving birth? No one knows. They finally agree that Esperanza, Max, Corina, and Doris will stay.

Max takes advantage of a moment alone with Corina to ask her what really is happening in prison. She was in solitary confinement so that Abuela couldn’t make MD abort the baby. She explains what she means, crazy grandma who doesn’t want anyone to carry the baby of a rapist. He wants to know why she didn’t tell him about Ursula wanting to take the baby from them. I know this is an important conversation and I missed a lot, so help me out and I will add it in. She warns Max that when MD goes back to prison, who knows what will happen to her now that she’s given birth, that Dan visited her once and Victor the lawyer coming in to visit too and the phonecall from Dan. She tells him that the warden told MD that she had to keep quiet about everything that is happening. Max then figures it was she who told the Santibanez that MD was giving birth. Max rushes off to deal with things, and tells Corina if anything happens, she needs to call him immediately.

Ursula and Dan have a meeting with the doctor. They tell him that Dan is married to another woman and they want to raise the baby since MD is in prison, obviously unfit to parent. They clearly don’t know that they are now divorced, lol.

Ursula visits Ivana and Susana. She tells Ivana that she needs to be ready to receive the baby. But Ivana tells her that the baby needs to be with her mother. Ursula wants the baby to be with a fit mother, not MD. Susana tries to tell her that she’s no longer interested, and Ivana agrees, she’s marrying Jerry and that’s the end of this saga.
Ursula draws her claws and threatens that if she doesn't want the baby, then Ursula will raise it herself.

Max is home looking over some papers when Claudio comes in and wants to talk. How Max restrained himself from attacking him, I don’t know. Claudio lets him know that he’s fixed the matter of MD’s indefinite stay in jail, but instead of attacking him, Max accuses him of helping the Santibanez with their plan to take the baby away from them, and was in cahoots with the warden. Stoneface hangdog doesn’t know what he’s talking about, he had no idea that was the plan. He only talked with the judge. He doesn’t even know the warden. Well, the Santibanez have a lot of influence, just like you do, and all of you unscrupulous people can make anything happen, and this is such a corrupt penal institution, that there are a lot of innocent people in jail. Loser! All Claudio can do is his usual hangdog stoneface.

Doris approaches Corina to tell her to keep her hands off Orlando. I didn’t get this convo beyond that, we can fill this in later if it’s important.
Later, Doris runs after Corina to apologize.

Max isn’t done. He’s crying now. He tells hangdog that he’s sickened by him. He doesn’t realize the hell MD has been going through this whole time. Claudio tries to apologize  but Max will never accept it. He lays into him about what an incorruptible honorable judge he is. What a farce. Max is going to do everything possible to see that he pays for this. (I think).

Max comes back to visit MD and the doctor arrives too. MD wants to try to breastfeed the baby, but the doctor tells her that they will be taking the baby to someone to care for it. MD pleads that they don’t do this, then the nurse pops in to tell them that the doctor has arrived to test the paternity. Max tries to calm her down. The doctor tells Max to  get someone to give the baby physical stimulation since MD can't do it because she's being sent back to prison.

Ivana has accompanied Isela to the ultrasound. She will have a girl, Ivana looks on all jealous and such. Ivana goes through a montage of memories of what a horrible mother Ursula is. Not sure the point, I hope it doesn’t give Ivana incentive to take MD’s baby to keep it away from Ursula. She leaves.

Ursula and Dan leave the hospital. She tells him that Ivana has this stupid plan to marry Jerry and says she doesn’t want the baby after all. Dan is ok with that, but Ursula reminds him that he will lose out on her fortune, and that he’s still on the hook for his crimes and could land in jail again.

Jenny visits Honoria, Honoria sees the engagement ring Julian gave to MD. Honoria questioned it, but later didn’t care that she was wearing it.  She continues that she’s glad that MD will lose her baby like she did, and that she rots in jail. Jenny tells Honoria that Dan has no intention of giving up the baby, he wants to keep it.

Max follows the Doc, Ursula, and Dan. He’s made a motion to stop the paternity test. He doesn't trust Ursula's doctor, he wants a judge to appoint a neutral one. This doctor then excuses himself, he doesn’t want to get in the middle of this mess. If they sort it out, he will come back if they need him.

As Isela leaves her appointment, she tries to call Ivana, no answer, then calls Jerry to tell him that Ivana seemed distraught when she left the doctor’s office.

MD now has a fever.

Ivana runs into Ursula and Dan as they leave. She tells them she wants to see her daughter. Uh oh. Espy, Doris and Corina come back just in time to see Ivana going in with them.
Ursula bribes the on duty nurse to let them see the baby. The awesome threesome, Espy, Doris, Corina try to stop them they tell them to shove off, and just then Max comes in and they tell him what’s happening. Max is surprised that Ivana is with them. The doctor stops them to tell them that MD has a fever, could be because the milk isn’t able to be expressed, but now she can’t feed the baby because of the infection, I think.

Honoria calls Usula on the way to take Ivana to see the baby. She let’s Ursula know that Jenny told her that Dan intends to keep the baby instead of giving it to Ivana.

Ivana comes in to see a fully grown baby, lol. Dan is also emotional at seeing her. They coo over her.

MD takes advantage of a changing of the guard to escape the room to see her baby. Meanwhile, Ivana now has the baby against her inside her gown to bond with it, and to give it that physical stimulation the doctor said she needed. Ivana is having her moment and is very emotional at this maternal gesture. Just then, MD busts in and sees what’s happening.
The end.

I'm glad Max now knows Ivana is in on the plan to take Maria Dolores' baby. He wouldn't have believed it if the Vecindad Gang had t told him they saw her marching in with The Santibanez.

I hope Claudio is smart enough to realize he too, could be accused of babynapping. Since he clearly cares more about his reputation than how his sons and dying wife feel, perhaps he will try to stop the Santibanez from stealing Maria Dolores' baby in only to protect his reputation.

Pieces are falling into place for Max. He's realizing/going to realize that Claudio, Santibanez & Ivana are all involved in a scheme to take Maria Dolores' baby. The rape, the jailing, all of it.

I wonder if Max will realize why the baby is such an important pawn for The Santibanez to have (Ivana's fortune).

Max dodged a bullet when Maleny declined to marry him!

Great work, Cathyx.

There is no Tom Hagen in this story, but I'm still betting on Claudio being its Frank Pentangeli. He'll off himself to avoid the scandal and its fallout for the sake of his personal fortune and his sons. That is the only redemptive thing he can do. Leo is absolutely right that nothing can compensate for the lost time in MD's life or what this could have done to her health and the health of the baby.

Ivana may not realize there is a target on her back in which case she isn't as smart as I thought originally.

More later.

Cathyx--I don't use CC either and I tend to miss a lot, but it never seems to matter much. Don't worry about it.

Point of information--Chelito was talking about colostrum. It comes in before the milk does. Here's Wikipedia's definition: Colostrum is a form of milk produced by the mammary glands...in late pregnancy. Most species will generate colostrum just prior to giving birth. Colostrum contains antibodies to protect the newborn against disease. For those interested in knowing more, here is a link to an article from the American Academy of Pediatrics:
https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/breastfeeding/Pages/Colostrum-Your-Babys-First-Meal.aspx

Corina may be right about premature babies--the article doesn't mention that "what if". We in viewerville recognize a full-term baby when we see it. The doctors' should be able to tell, too, but they won't say. I guess it's meant to be a surprise for us. But that's why I suspect it is full-term because after MD gets a mammary gland infection, she's bulging with "milk" and obviously in pain.

You are on the money--Doris and Corina's conversation involved accusations, explanations and apologies. Corina convinces Doris that sex isn't the only thing, everything Orlando has done shows what a caring individual he is that any woman would want, Corina included. She can tell Orlando loves her. We learn a bit more about her career as a prostitute dealing with men who seek her out where there is no love or outlet at home.

More later.

Here's a bit more--regarding Max stopping the paternity test.

Yes, it was to buy some time and Ursula figured that out, but it was also that he wanted an official chain of custody for the test. He smells a fraud. He wants a judge to oversee it. I think yesterday we saw Ursula and Daniel plotting to get the shady doctor who helped them before--or he wasn't available, something like that, because we haven't seen this character before.

Part of MD's problem is that the hospital doctors urged Max to get a person close to the baby to go in and give her physical stimulation by holding her, caressing her, talking to her (ideally that would be Espy), but MD can't be allowed to do that because she is in custody and is going back to prison as soon as she's discharged. That was supposed to happen the same day or the next. Luckily she got that infection and fever.

In the confrontation between Ursula and Ivana at Ivana's house in front of Susana, Ivana says she doesn't need MD's baby any more. She also tells her to her face that she's a terrible mother and she didn't deserve to have the children she did. Ursula then retorts that she's been given an opportunity to have a go at it for a third time, so if Ivana doesn't want this baby, she'll take it and raise it herself.

That was enough for Ivana to go along with the baby-napping plot. She can tell herself (and Gerry) that she's doing this to keep the baby from falling into Ursula and Daniel's hands, but in reality, it's her own selfish reasons for possessing this baby that count. If she does get her hands on this baby, I don't think she has any intention of giving her back to MD.

I wonder if there is any significance to the fact that Isela is also having a baby girl.

Also, I thought Ivana's wedding was going to be at the VD offices. Now the venue has changed. At least there's no swimming pool at Ivana's mansion (that we've seen, at least).

CathyX, thank you for your hard work on this!

Anita got it right. Max does not trust Ursula and Dan and legally both parents have to agree on what doctor to use for the DNA test, MD and Dan will never agree on the doctor so Max wants a judge to appoint a doctor who has all the proper credentials and for the results to be sealed and opened in the presence of a notary public.

I can't with Ivana, what a cow she is. The baby is not hers and she's ruined her shot at a good thing with Jerry. Idiot.

eli--Glad to see you here, amiga. It's been awhile. I saw your posts yesterday. Welcome back, even if it is ultimo capitulos.

Yes, how is she going to explain this to Gerry. Well, maybe it won't go that far.

I also heard in the Ivana-Ursula exchange that she CAN still go and give her statement to the police, vis-à-vis Danny-Boy's involvement in killing Julian. It is or was her intention to do so. Let's see what her conscience dictates here. Holding that baby in the last scene is the game-changer for Ivana. She wants THIS baby. Forget Isela's!!

Its not Ivana's intention to tell what she knows to Max or the police. She's had months to do sos and hasn't done it. She's not going to do it unless there's an adverse affect for HER ( finding out they will kill her after she adopts the baby).

Claudio is cowardly, too. He had no problem ignoring Alma's dying wish and the pain of Max by keeping MD locked up. If Honoria hadn't busted Claudio in front of Alma, Max & Leo he would still be keeping Maria Dolores locked up. If the baby was snatched/died in prison, Claudio would've been like Oh well, these things happen.

The only reason he's making calls now is to save his own hide. So it will be with Ivana.

Thanks Anita and Eli, I changed a few things in the recap.

Now that Ivana and Dan are no longer married, this must impact any decision to leave the baby with them.

What I want to know is:

1. Their divorce is final. Does that mean the adoption null and void?
2. Doesn't MD have any legal right in this?
3. If Danny-Boy gave his consent to the adoption by the now-divorced Ivana does he lose his parental rights?

None of these issues have been discussed.

UA, I don't think that Dan has any intention of giving up his custody to the baby. That's how he wants to get back at his mother. And MD won't have many legal rights until she's out of jail, and probably also needs to be cleared of any wrong doing. I hope that she can get released very soon now that Claudio has made his phone call.

Thank you for the recap. How about Max married Ivana just so he can be close to the baby and have some legal rights to it? I mean if Ivana takes the baby married Max then as parents they can prevent Dan to have access as long as he gives up his parental rights to her. This way, Max can be in the baby's life if MD goes to jail for a while. I am desperate, lol at this point. I know these vultures will get the baby after they kill Ivana once the baby is in the will.
Romy

Romy, I guess my point about Ivana and Dan being divorced is that it leaves Ivana no legal right to the child. Not even access. Baby selling is still illegal.

Thank you cathyx for help with this nail biter.

Without getting too legal I can enlighten a bit on US law. Simply being incarcerated does not forfeit parental rights unless the child is placed in foster care and the incarceration long, usually 15 to 22 months. In this case Dan would have to forfeit his parental rights, MD would have to forfeit her parental rights (or the state take them from her after 15 to 22 months) and then Ivana would have to go through child welfare for the adoption process with no preferential treatment since she is not legally married to Dan nor related to MD, however Espy or Ursula could do it as well.

MD could sue to removed Dan's parental rights if in fact he is the child's father.

Laws can be very different in Mexico. And there seems to be more corruption there too, at least I hope it's not that common in the US.

Cathyx- Thanks so much for this great recap. I haven't watched the episode yet, but can't wait to see Max lay into Clod. Not surprised Ivana is being lured back to the dark side.

More tomorrow after I've seen the episode.

I can't wait to read your take on the scenes. This was a doubly difficult episode without ccs. I put the ccs in spanish when I do have them, but technical vocabulary and slang is still hard even with spanish ccs. Doris and Corina had a lot of slang words, and all the technical discussions were difficult to decipher for me.

All Ursula has to do is call Claudio and tell him to get Maria Dolores' parental rights stripped and he will comply.

Both Claudio and Ivana need to be publically exposed to trying to take Maria Dolores' baby. That's the only way Maria Dolores/Niña will be safe from Claudio & Ivana.

The only way she'll be safe from Dan & Ursula is with their deaths.

Although it would be delicious for either Max, Leo or Alma to snatch the curtain back on Claudio, none of them will do it.

I'm still waiting for Nayeli to be able to hand over Abuela's note to Maria Dolores to Max.

Doris thinks having sex = expressing your love but she had sex with Ari and he didn't love her that much to publically claim her.

Anon207, I don't think Claudio has anything more to lose, now that Max knows what he did. Max won't hesitate to expose (snatch the curtain back) him if needed. So I don't think Claudio will be helping Ursula anymore. Leo, Max, and Alma all despise him and they won't ever let him off, in my opinion.

Thank you Anita! I'm only watching about two episodes a week of this one and keep up with recaps but missed about 90% of it :/

I still can't believe Ivana. Why does she think she has the right to a child that has a loving mother waiting to care for her? And how dare she profess to care about the bebe when she has known for MONTHS that Dan was responsible for Julian's death and yet she allowed a pregnant MD to sit in a cold jail, lacking the proper medical care and nutrition that she needed to give birth to a healthy baby?

Ivan can bite me. There's nothing they can do to redeem her.

Thanks, Cathyx. Fine recap.

Ivana and Dan with the baby was a sickening scene. Ivana was disgusting in that hospital gown snuggling the baby. I wish MD could smack her to smithereens, but I guess she's to weakened.

I hope Gerry fines a good man. He probably won't break with Ivana, but he needs somebody else to take first place in his life.

Glad Doris apologized to Corina, but I do get her worry. Doris and Orlando have been an item for nearly a year now and still no sex or marriage proposal.

Eli, I'm with you. Ivana is acting ridiculously. For me, there's no good explanation for her behavior. She has so many opportunities to have a child, and especially with her wealth. Jerry offered to marry and be a sperm donor, not to mention being able to adopt a newborn even. That she wants this baby is insane, I don't don't give her any slack.

Max, Leo & Alma despised Claudio for the affair, and Alma asked Clod to get MD out of jail for her sake but he still did Ursula's bidding because public opinion is more important than his family. So I think unless Clod decides he will deal with the public fallout, he will do Ursula's bidding.

Cathyx, you did good with the recap. You pretty much hit it. Whoever fills in will be greatly appreciated. Max gave that poor excuse for a father what for. Now I'd like to
Read all of that dressin down. Max said he didn't The know the hell MD was going through. Cuz she could have told him some things Before they threatened her but she kept mum about it, then she couldn't say anything.

Ivana has taken a swan dive into the nasty sesspool of the santibanastys. I hate the way
She calls the baby hers. Shes helping these
Monsters committ a crime, I am done with this Heffa. And honoria, shes happy about
The suffering of md. Shes glad md will loose
Her child the way she did. Not the same ...... ....her Child was murdered by the one thats taking Mds baby. He may not have had his finger on the gun, but he caused It. Shes a hateful old woman. She Makes it hard for someone to feel sorry for Her. And I don't. Not anymore. this was a disgusting episode but you did good with the recap, with what you had to work with, so thank you anyway.

I think the convo with Jenny was her telling Honoria that Dan had no intention of letting his mother have the baby. It's his and he's not sharing (giving up his momma's boy position). Honoria called Ursula to let her know that.

And that is why Honoria no longer deserves any redemption. She gets some sympathy for losing Julian, but now she's doing something that will hurt a newborn. She can stay in the barrio but they should all shun her. Ursula and Ivana (now that she seems to have gone back to the dark side) can live on the streets in a gutter. If Ivana doesn't fess up to Gerry asap that this is a ploy to protect the baby and she's not just trying to steal it, then she's done for. No more superbestfriend and successful business for you!

Hard to pick out the proper karmageddon for some of these people.

kelly

Ursula doesn't even like girls. Her comment to Dan shows how crazy she is. She was down right cruel to beloved boy child

Thing about Claudio is, even after all he's done, if presented with the same choices again he would do the same. He doesn't really care who gets hurt or how much they may suffer. He has power and influence so he and his buddies call in favors. When Leo overheard Claudio telling his judge friend, no need to continue to delay MD's trial, that is not proactively righting a wrong only telling his friend to stop what he's doing and let the process continue, delay is no longer required because MD had the child and Ursula can get her hands on it now.

Orlando is a nice guy, a fool but a nice guy, however I'm not buying he loves Doris and not because he won't have sex with her. He treats all women the same, like a big brother to women near his age or a doting son to the older ladies. I don't like the guy because he doesn't respect Doris. She hid him, fed him and now her nana is bank rolling him. I bet if Isela or Corina thought he was their guy they would be just as put out when some other young hot thing called him just to chat or saw him arm in arm, but then again if they complained he wouldn't be able to poopoo the concern as a plus size girls insecurity and would have to shape up and fly right.

Thanks Kelly, I updated the recap to reflect that conversation between Jenny and Honoria.

Tofie, I've been saying all along that it's worrisome to me that Orlando never said te amo to Doris.

OK. I just watched. Specifically what Jenny said is that she heard Dan in rehab saying that the reason he's getting clean is to be able to get his daughter, rescue MD from jail, and have a life together with the two of them. He is only faking being on board with Ursula's plan to give the baby to Ivana. Yes, it's the same crazy fantasy he has that MD will come back to him and they'll live happily ever after.

MD was actually the one to tell Max first about being in solitary confinement all these months and the threat from La Abuela, then she told Max to confirm it all and get more info from Corina, since she was worried about the prying eyes and ears of the guards in the room. She told him she didn't tell him before because of the threat made to her baby if she said anything, and that she only had the power to keep her baby safe while she was inside her. But now, she's counting on Max to make sure the baby stays safe and out of the hands of the Santibanez.

I think MD's reasoning in perfectly logical. Had she told Max earlier, there would have been nothing he could have done in time to prevent the warden and guards/prisoners from giving her a beating bad enough to kill the baby, before Max could get the slow wheels of justice rolling to transfer her or censure the warden. Now that she's not pregnant, she doesn't care about the risk to her own life. She just wants to make sure the baby continues to be safe.

The new info Corina gives him is more detail about the Abuela, Dan's and Victor's visits with the obvious approval of Warden Marcia. That's when Max puts it together that the Warden must be in the pocket of the Santibanez and that's how they found out about the birth.

The doctor is really ticking me off. He didn't allow MD to be the one to snuggle and try to feed the baby because she was going back to prison right away. But then when she came down with a fever, he starts saying it's no surprise because of the state she arrived in- anemic, having lost lots of blood in the prison, and not having had proper care and nutrition. So why the f*ck was he so eager to send her back immediately before she could properly recover from all that?!

And then that damn nurse accepting a bribe from the Santibanez and Ivana to go in to see/snuggle with the baby. Arrggg!!! I want to slap everyone in that hospital.

But not as badly as I want to slap Ivana. She is totally trying to justify her participation in a criminal act and her sick obsession, with making it about "protecting" the baby girl from Ursula.

Jardinera, I too thought perhaps Orlando a self-denying homosexual and he and Gerry would be a great couple.

I have removed comments. Please stick to discussing the show and the recap.

I think Orlando has some major trust issues. Isela put him through the wringer, which he didn't deserve. He needs a shrink and some major recovery time.

Or he could be asexual. Another first for Televisa?

Vivi, Ursula and Dan got to the doctor first, so I guess they convinced him that MD was bad news and it would be best for the baby to bond with Dan's wife instead.

Thank you, CathyX for covering for me. I appreciate it. ITA with Vivi that MD shut up to protect the baby and that was the right thing to do. She had gotten beat up before Corina and Nayeli found out she was ok people and Abuela's and the Warden's threats wete too pervasive for her to risk talking before she gave birth.

A whole mess of people who we thought were redemption worthy are going to hell with gasoline drawers on, it seems, and Claudio, Honoria and Ivana had no need to be there if they had stopped and thought for a minute instead of going on pure emotions.

Does Dan & Ursula know the divorce is final or just another lie that worked for the doctor? Dan should have received a notice.

More importantly that doctor knows paternity hasn't been determined yet, he just fell for the BS.

I think Orlando is a perfect gentleman. So he
denied her sex. (Doris) I think that's wonderful especially in this day and age when people just want to hop in the sack before marriage thinking that they have to take a test run. now that's just my opinion yall, not trying to push it off when nobody else. I like Orlando he's refreshing. Ivana is
Full of it. She sittin thete holdin thst baby with pitiful look on her face. She just as big a crook as those dogs shes sided with. This
Episode was really disgusting, all the crooks gettin away with everything. The good guys
Always comin up short every freakin time. I
Guess the writers were makin a point with this storyline, I don't know what, but maybe they made It. The actors are superb. They should awards.

If Ivana truly wanted to protect The baby she would've told Max about The Santibanez' plans to take the baby.

Ivana needs Maria Dolores locked away in jail for life too so she can get her hands on the baby.

Anon207, that's true about Ivana. And she's the only witness to Julian's death. She has the power to have her locked up for good.

If she changes her story to put MD away surely Gerry would blow everything for Ivana up

No, I think Gerry will continue to keep quiet as well, because he could easily go,to Max and tell him that Ivana is planning to take Maria Dolores' baby but he hasn't. Susana could tell Max as well. But both of them receive benefits from Ivana that they would lose if they told any of this information to Max.

Gerry don't need money from ivana, he's good at whatever he does, whatever that is.
He could tell max. If he would. You gotta be a coldblooded b**** to hold on to imfo that can Free a person from prison for crime they did not commit Just to steal their baby, and she thinks she can be a good mother being a lying manipulative thief like that? No way. I
Can't stand her right now. And she'd lie to
That child for the rest of her life. Not good.

Gerry receives the benefits of Ivana's friendship, that he would surely lose if he told the truth to Max.

Gerry doesn't know Ivana is still planning on taking MD's baby. And everyone will know now, including Gerry, with Ivana cuddling MD's baby alongside Dan.

Max already knows that Ivana wants to take the baby. And we left off this episode with him at the hospital, ready to see MD in the hospital bed with a fever only to see that she's not there. He will then know that she's gone to see the baby and will then get to see Ivana and Dan with her. So Gerry won't be telling him anything he doesn't already know.

But once Gerry finds out that she's still stuck on thinking MD's baby is hers, he may have had just about enough and be ready to fight for MD and Max. Or at least leave Ivana to her own devices even if it means risking losing her fortune to Ursula. he loves her, but he's already proven that he has some limits.

I thought Orlando already explained his "no sex" rule. Something about his childhood (and us wondering if he had to sell sex for money)? With a body like that, he can't possibly be asexual (hoping anyway). He may have seen sex used too many times as currency, or as a bargaining chip, and may not want that anymore. I think he loves Doris. He's just totally clueless about how his wanting to take care of these other women might seem to Doris even if he has no other intentions with them. Maybe when he realizes that she deserves a little more consideration and she gives him her full trust, then they'll be just fine. (Gerry is adorable but he seems like he needs someone his own age, another professional type. Too bad Adrian is straight).

And to add insult to injury, another clear thinking person is dying and all of these dim-
Witted people get to stay and destroy lives.

Go figure :'{

Blogger ate two of my comments. Thank you CathyX for covering for me. It's a good recap and I appreciate it.

I think you guys are too hard on Orly. Orly proposed marriage to Doris directly and indirectly numerous times and she said no. He's committed. The last time he did so was when they were in her nano's pueblo. That was the point when Orly stopped being so lovey-dovey with her. She knows he has a savior complex and if that bothers her, she needs to leaves him. At this stage of the game she knows sex does not equal love because she had loads of it with Ari who didn't want to be seen in public with her. She just needs to tell him point-blank that she feels crappy when he tries to save women when he won't touch her and he'll probably tell her he feels bad when she rejects his proposals for marriage and kids.

Ivana and Honoria: two people going to hell with gasoline draws on for silly reasons.

Clod: So petty and so wrong. He really should care less about public perception and more about how his family thinks of him.

Asexual doesn't mean there is a physical abnormality; it means no sex drive. A person can even choose that situation to kill an inconvenient sex drive or become that way because of trauma.

I don't believe Orlando is asexual and I don't believe he has a problem when we call it no sex drive. I think he has a certain way of doing things and a certain time when he wants to do it and that's what he's doing and every time something like this comes up prople think something Is wrong. Theres nothing wrong with sex after marriage. nothing wrong with this man. I think he's a gentleman and I'm very proud of him for holding off. that's refreshing on TV these days. Doris can go and find somebody else
Like ari if all she wants is a roll in the hay with no meaning to it.
