Antes Muerta que Lichita #75 1/8/16... The pot gets hotter about Alicia and Augie-evil in US and the gossip spreads like fire via cell phones at the Mex office.
Aug-evil is trying to booze-out Alicia… She talks while
half-dazed about deserving the position she is in… HE reminds her she almost
married Alex for corporate ladder climbing… She keeps talking some nonsense.
At church, Alex walks away but Bea catches him to call him
on listening to her confession. He is not happy hearing that his dad is
cheating on his mom and his mom is playing the social sweep under rug strategy.
Back to Alicia and Aug-evil… She does not like that he
cheats on Mrs Bea. He keeps talking like
none of this matters one iota to him. He
claims that he can set apart professional and personal relationships. The subject of Sandra comes up. Alicia won’t deny her professional talents
but… (yeah BIG BUTT!!)
She is wabbly and he has to catch her from falling. HE keeps
trying to embrace her… ends up holding her face in his hands… and walks her to
the bedroom (a little too touchy-feely if you ask me). She slams the door on his face (unknowingly
from her boozed status). But from the
last take of her face, we know she is at least partially aware of what is going
on.
The priest and Daphne join the conversation betweek Alex and
her. Bea figures out that Alex being
there is also something Daphne coordinated.
So the new plan of Daphne’s also involving the priest also failed.
Brisa and Braulio are in the apt… She sits on his lap (that did hurt him). They are planning on a new retreat/seminar…
when she brings up that it will be more like a sex therapy course, he is
instantly interested.
Roberto and Gumaro in apt…
They are talking about SHeyla’s whereabouts… Roberto has paperwork that
shows Mateo has not left the country at any time. He assumes she could have figured out a way
to get someone else to take Mateo up to US.
Brisa and Braulio are still dealing with her
ex-roomie/ex-bf. Braulio is holding the
door and preventing the other guy from coming in. Braulio and Brisa continue arguing whether
the other guy can come in.
Back in US… Augie-evil is still trying to get in Alicia’s
room knocking on door. HE laughs it out that she fell asleep… He gets a phone call from Bea… She demands he
come back home ASAP. HE is not
happy. She threats him that she will sue
him so bad that he will end up pennyless if he does not return YESTERDAY.
Daphne asks Alex if Bea will do anything different. Alex reminds
Daphne that Bea needs them now more than ever. She has to feel their support
someway.
Magos is nagging about the ‘suit-worthy’ outfit her mom
seems to have bought her. Elsa tells
Magos to realize just how much effort it takes to go as far as her sister
has. Elsa gives Magos her blessing…
hoping she will get a good result.
Bea talks to Roberto. He notes she does not look good. She looks
very stressed/anxious. Bea asks Roberto
if he knew about the existence of a subsidiary of the company in US.
Magos meets with her friends… seems the ‘interview’ is a
presentation at school instead of an official interview. OOOKKKKK!!! This turns out to be one of these
scams for financial prosperity that scam money out of you. The guy even has a song for them to learn,
along with choreography for ‘SUCCESSFUL FOLKS! WE ARE WINNERS!’ (Triunfadores,
somos ganadores!!)
At US, Augie-evil continues to scare Alicia. They are ready to go to the office. She is
surprised he has to go back to Mexico immediately. She is in shock at the change of plans… he
finds it amusing, asks ‘what can we attribute your facial expression to?’
Bea gets Roberto to agree to go to Iconika US and
investigate what is going on there. HE
asks if she wants him to just investigate the existence of the company or find
out about something else?
At US, Augie-evil keeps laughing and is very entertained about
Alicia trying to ignore any secondary agenda of his. HE keeps reminding her that she used to be
engaged to his son Alex… (OK, we know that. Can we move on?) He keeps talking about the great future they
have together as a team. Big leagues!! She
finally gets a chance to leave… he stares at her shoes… (MMM??? ‘EL SYcko if
you ask me)
Braulio and Brisa keep arguing about whether it is their
responsibility to help her ex-bf cured from his drinking.
Elias promises Roberto that if he finds out anything else
about the ‘ghostly’ Iconika USA, he will let him know.
Sandra’s cell phone rins but she won’t answer, she rants
that if she is supposedly on a trip, she should be left alone.
Alicia is very distracted at the office… the two people who
work with her notice. The Cuban guy
comments with the other lady that there is a rumor that the plan is to bring
all business from Iconika Mex up to the US (and close the Mex office, I guess).
Alicia is very surprised to hear that. The woman says until we hear it is
official, we should not talk about the rumor. (not clear whether she knows
anymore).
Augie-evil arrives home and Bea sermons him about how much
she used to love him when they first married.
She has done a lot of thinking and she has decided that they should get
divorced. He is flabbergasted.
Roberto on cell with Gumaro from airport. Roberto wants GUmaro to find any
evidence/info at the mansion. Gumaro says
it will be difficult, like looking for a bee in a beehive, a needle in a haystack,
or a bedbug in a mattress… (LOL!) Roberto tells him he is guessing Bea wants
him to confirm whether Alicia and Augie-evil are together.
Augie swears to Bea that the few little escapades he has had
are few and far between and meaningless.
She calls him a jerk. She knows Alicia is his lover and dares him to
deny it. He swears in the name of God. She calls his blasphemy. She does not
want to see that ‘ho’ in MY agency. IF you sent her far away, let her stay
there. Augie asks and tickles her into
telling him who is her ‘little birdy’ source of info.
Again more arguing between Brisa and Braulio about
dumb-x-bf. Dumb-x-bf asks Brisa to give him a massage. (Ok now that does it, I am
on Braulio’s side!) Brisa says she has
given him a massage many times. Braulio
is shocked (I would be too!)
Augie-evil and Bea continue their argument. ‘I am a man! –
thus I am excused! (yeah right!)’ He
then suggests he and her take a trip to reignite their passion. She turns into
a cold block of ice. She just says she has to think things through. Bea leaves. Augie guesses right that Sandra
had the guts/daring mind to tell Bea.
Fatima tells Elias she knows nothing about the Iconika
US. Elias doubts she had no knowledge of
it. He asks if Sandra would know. Fatima
tells him that would be something only Sandra could tell him. Elias warns Fatima he will stand here until
she tells him. Fatima just says ‘you will get tired of standing’.
Luciana runs into Augie-evil at the house. She is surprised
to find him home. He says he hopes she
is not part of the team of people who are trying to harm him. He then asks
about her husband. She tells him he is in Monterrey about something related to
API. HE is surprised and leaves
irritated.
Back to the scam self-prosperity-help seminar. The guy says ‘I can see you all rich!’ Again he wants them to dance… TRIUNFADORES!!
GANADORES!! … ok lets see the guy do
some break-dance… WAIT! WOW!! Now the
guy pulls out a bottle of perfume!! So on top of a bad script, now it turns out
to be an ordinary cleaning products company with a product line complete enough
to include even a potato peeler!! But…
Stop the presses!!! Magos stands up and calls the guy on the fraud pyramid
scam. Jerrys tries to stop her. But she
insists on calling the bluff/fraud on the guy. The guy tries to ignore her and
get the group’s attention again.
SHushette and Nestor converse at office. She warns him that
Roberto will find out about his scam.
(??) Fatima comes in to tell them
that the new client is here. Nestor will
attend them since Roberto and Alicia are not around so he is next in charge… Then he mocks Fatima a little bit and insists
she let the client in. Luciana comes in
and SHushette and Nestor are acting like high school bffs.
Magos insists on calling the guy’s fraud. The guy confronts Magos back. They begin the
3 steps forward then 3 steps back dance.
Even Jerrys tries to avoid it from escalating.
Braulio ends up reluctantly having to pay for the Doctor’s house
call to the drunk-ex-bf. Brisa asks her
ex to take his drinking problem seriously. Braulio jumps on that wagon
too. The guy then tells her he even lost
his job. (lets cry a river for the
guy!!)
Luciana came in the office only to say hi to her friends…
AND… to tell them all about the latest gossip… this SECRET is VERY SECRET… the receptionists are receiving messages
about the gossip of Augie and Lichita being together…
Nestor and the other guys also receive the same
message. They comment that Alicia turned
out to be a climber… Even SHushette and other ladies at work do the same… all
dirty-talk about Alicia.
At hotel suite, the button guy has brought Roberto up to the
same suite that Alicia and Augie-evil are staying at. Roberto sees the mess, including a shoe of Alicia’s
on the table. Of course he gets worried.
‘It can’t be, Alicia! … No!...’
SHushette and Luciana talk… Shushette asks Luciana where she
got the idea that her uncle and Alicia are together. Luciana says now everyone will find out the
kind of woman Lichicienta is… and why she climbed to where she is at the
company. Shushette attempts to fake a
little political ethics saying ‘don’t judge what you are not seeing’.
Fatima comes to get Luciana to go to a conference.
At suite, Roberto talks to the button guy… Roberto gets the
guy to give him the address that the taxi took Alicia to.
At office, Alicia asks the Cuban guy and the lady about the
gossip they were talking about regarding Iconika ‘moving’ to the US. Alicia thanks them. She is about to get some copies of documents.
But she runs into Roberto, who asks very coldly ‘SO! Is this the Iconika US
office?’ She predictably asks what he is
doing there.
Previews: Alicia finds out about the gossip going around the
Mex office. Also the VO guy mentions someone arriving on Monday that will make
an impression on Alicia. (is this
Gabriel Soto’s character?)

Maybe there is hope for Magos: she did recognize a fraud scheme even when she wasn't implementing one of her own.
Yes, it did seem Alicia was more in control than we thought when she conveniently closed the bedroom door on Augusto's nose.
I sure hope Beatriz pursues a divorce sooner rather than later (BEFORE Roberto is installed at API) and does not choose the promise if a roll in the hay with Augusto instead.

I was lucky here: "Antes muerta. . ." came on at regular time cutting the news coverage short. The Univisión 6:00 pm central offering got cut.

Thanks for your clever funny write-up Marta. Quite enjoyable. I was relieved to see that Aug-Evil immediately knew it was Sandra-Evil who told the (almost not) lies to Bea. And it was equally refreshing to see Bea resist his damage control.

A VERY BIG thanks to you Marta---Here in the LA area, we only got to see approximately the last twenty minutes of Lichita due to El Chapo coverage. I would have liked to have seen Alicia slam the door on Augie-evil but through your recap, I

Marta, I can't thank you enough. I saw this yet had no idea what was actually transpiring most of the time - especially Bea asking "Augie-Evil" (excellent!)for a divorce.
I so appreciate your extraordinary detailing and marvelous sense of humor.
I fear Sandra is in danger. Did she really think Augusto would not be able to figure out her subterfuge? For an intelligent woman, she continues to make mistake after mistake. I wouldn't mind though if she and Elias ended up in the end. They must have been happy once upon a time.
I feel sorry that Bea has been hurt (albeit right transgression, wrong woman)...She should leave Augusto and try and bond with her two wonderful children, neither of whom she truly appreciates or knows...

Little Brisa is kinda sexy in a hippie chick 'Free Love' kind of way. I get the distinct impression she would be just fine with living with both beards. But with Mateo missing, Luci still unconsumated, and Aug-Evil chasing Alicia, I could care less about the Iconika commune. Beard #1 should have punched beard #2 on the first kiss, Brisa or no Brisa. Not when he kissed Brisa, when he kissed HIM.

Thanks Marta! Love "Aug-evil" nickname. The way he kept plying the none too smart Alicia with wine was appalling. I am also glad he was shut down by Bea when he tried to woo her back into his web of lies.

It was stupid of Brisa to mope over Braulio when he was enamored of Chuchette but they weren't in a relationship. It's obvious Brisa prefers her ex (or type) but he cannot pay the bills and bet she has tried to save him but ended up sleeping in her car. Put them both out Braulio
