Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #106 1/26/16 Something’s in the Air…Something Bad.
Mille, Mille grazie to Sneaky Two Shoes!!!! YAAAAAY!!!!
Fed tells the board the sad story of how she was wronged, and bilked, and cheated, and stolen from, and lied to, and, and…
Fi. Gun. Head. Os ( I can’t watch. Oh, we’ve moved on.)
More Fed – she says
Pietro and the fam knew all about it and covered it up. Some arguing
about who knew and who was an accomplice.
Santino and Juli kissing – she breaks the kiss and says she’s confused and lost and she can’t do this (why not honey? He’s hot.)
He wants to try again, but she wants to concentrate on finding their daughter for now.
Sonia finishes her
set and calls Os, interrupting his not shooting Fi (not that I want him
to, but it is Osvaldo, he’s never shown any evidence of having a
conscience, what’s he hesitating for now?)
Sonia wants to know
why he left, he says Pietro called him to go to ACorp b/c Fed’s running
mad through the halls. She tells him she’s on her way and if he isn’t
really there she’ll be really mad at him.
He goes to stare at Fi some more
Gia and Gael argue cutely about who was sleeping during the performance and who snores and who’s jealous and end up kissing.
Pietro and Fed are
still at it – she insinuates that since he married a servant the
business is in shaky if not mentally incompetent hands and calls for a
vote for CEO – can’t vote b/c Elo and Os aren’t there.
Fed can wait, meanwhile she tries to sow doubts by outing Beg’s plans
and wondering out loud why Pietro didn’t report him to the police.
Roxi starts out nasty
to Quina, but remembers someone telling her about being rejected and
tries to soften it, even asking Quina to sit down and asks her about her
thing w/Max. Quina says Max was nice to
her and their thing developed naturally. She was so naïve back then she
thought he couldn’t be married because he was pursuing her. She didn’t
know about Elo till later. Rox says so he tricked you too. Quina says
sadly ‘yes, but you were made with love’ and
then goes on to say she knows how difficult relationships between
social classes are so that’s why she gave her a hard time abut dating
Beni. Roxi gets uncomfortable and has to go to bed.
Os makes it to ACorp
just before Sonia (all that staring lost him time) He seems to have real
doubts about Fed’s plan, and apologizes for missing the rest of her
performance. They will meet later at home.
Dante tells Elo Fi left in a taxi to get her drops and hasn’t come back yet. She sends him to find Fi and bring back her drops.
At ACorp Os tries to
convince the partners that everyting is on the up and up, but they start
walking out so Pietro closes the meeting saying there will be an
investigation, and you’ll get the results.
Later, Fed yells at
Os for not killing Fi yet. Meanwhile Fi is wriggling loose and trying to
jimmy open the door. She gets the door open and takes off running for
her life, but Dante is there waiting outside
the door and he grabs her from behind as she tries to escape and drags
her back into the room and chloroforms her.
Pietro gets home and
Elo tells him Fi went out for drops and never came back (maybe you could
have the blasted drops delivered, huh?) Dante hasn’t found her yet. She
left Pietro a message on his phone but
all it tells him is she was going to save Gia and Gael. Fed suggests
coolly G&G may have been kidnapped. Petey tells granny about Fed’s
performance at ACorp. Elo asks Fed if she stupid or what with this crap,
she’s hurting herself too, but Fed doesn’t take
back a word of it.
Dante calls Fed to
tell her about Fi almost escaping. Fed in the grand tradition of TV
villains is livid and verbally abusive about the absent Os but doesn’t
actually do anything herself (If you want a job
done right…)She says she’ll find Os and make him do his freaking job.
Os is listening to
his wife rhapsodize about the lights and the applause, though a bit
absently, so Sonia notices and asks about it. He says its about the
brouhaha at ACorp and missing her sing. She forgives
him and they get cosy, but a text from Fed interrupts and he leaves
w/an excuse about seeing the lawyers, carefully taking his gun weighted
jacket with him.
Pietro checks in w/Gael who tells him we couldn’t have sent that txt we were in the theater – somebody set a trap for Fi.
Os tells Fed he can’t perform. He has a problem killing a baby.
She tells him to cut the violins and do it, if he doesn’t,
she’ll leave him penniless. So he gets the gun out and points it
at Fi again. Fi is unconscious still so probably the least freaked out
person in the story right now.
Gia is looking for
her phone. Roxi is sleepy and threatens to have her deported if she
doesn’t put out the lights and go to sleep already, but Gia has a
feeling that something bad is happening to Fi and can’t
calm down. Roxi offers her phone to call Fi but Pietro walks in w/o
knocking just then to tell Gia her sister has been missing for hours and
asks if Gia sent her a msg while she was out w/Gael. Gia says she
didn’t and Pietro goes ‘oh well, never mind then,
I’ll go find her’ in a super unconvincing and not at all reassuring way
and leaves the girl w/a heart condition to worry all night.
Roxi has had it, she flips out the light and pushes Gia into bed, telling her Fi probably realized how boring Pietro is and
went out partying, we’ll find her tomorrow, go to sleep.
Os has stared at Fi
all night without killing her even a little bit, and when she wakes up
and asks for water her gives her a drink. (ooh Fed’s gonna be so mad at
you)
The Angeles ladies
and Petey wonder where Fi is, then Fed points out Os is missing too and
when Sonia passes on his excuse, says meeting w/your lawyers all night
is weird.
Dante told somebody he reported Fi missing to the police.
Sonia now thinks Fi
may have been kidnapped, she’s an Angeles now after all. Elo thinks not
enough people know about the marriage for that to be likely. Petey
suggests Fed is enjoying the situation so much
b/c she’s working w/the kidnappers, she always hated Fi anyway. Fed
doesn’t seem unpleased to be accused nor convincing in her shock.
Elo demands Fed tell them if she is, or is not behind Fi’s disappearance, and Fed says ‘sure’
in a particularly confusing and possibly sarcastic way and then
after further accusations by Petey, tells them she wishes she could
claim the credit for such a cool plan, but no, somebody else got there
first. Petey checks her phone but no, no incriminating
calls and they give up.
Juli thinks its Santino on the other side of the door but its Sergio – He wants to talk.
He wants her to understand. He wants her to forgive him
because he was young and stupid (and probably drunk). He wants another
chance because he has always loved her. He wants the world on a platter,
but he’s not getting
any of it; Juli tells him if he really cared about her, he wouldn’t
have tricked her the way he did and she’ll never forgive him. She denies
moving on w/Santino, all she wants right now is to find her daughter.
He leaves. She cries.
Gia comes in and
cries on Pietro’s shoulder, saying her phone is missing. Sonia puts it
together and figures out Gia’s phone was stolen to set the trap for Fi.
Gia begs Pietro to find her sister, and he hugs
her and offers empty reassurances.
Fi has a blindfold
on, as she has all the time of her captivity, except she took it off for
the escape attempt, but she knows her captor is still there, staring at
her. She doesn’t know who he is, but she
begs him to think of her poor sick sister who needs her, and Heart Of
Ice Osvaldo, the man who only weeks ago threatened to “disappear” that
same sister, who only days ago told that sister he would feed her to the
dogs, and mocked her life threatening illness,
seems touched by Fiorella’s pleas. He seems anguished by Fi’s anguish
and when Fi begs to know why she is there, he looks like he’s thinking
about telling her.
Vitto tells Di he had
to move out of his house due to his financial difficulties. Di says he
can move in w/her, she doesn’t care that he’s broke, they can give their
thing another try, besides, Betito loves
him. He agrees to give them another chance and the cops knock on the
door, come to arrest Diana for murder.
Simona and Fidel try
to comfort Gia but she can’t stop crying. If Fi’s ok why doesn’t she
call? Gi has a feeling something is terribly wrong, she hopes they find
Fi soon because her heart can’t take this
anymore, she’s having tachycardia.
Pilar and Alina have a
consultation. Pilar seems calmer but still doesn’t trust Alina enough
to talk to her much and Alina understands. While she lists the things
Pilar has said: the horse’s name, Pietro’s
name, and, ‘he killed Gabriel’, Fed is walking by THE OPEN DOOR and
hears that last bit and stops in to ask what do you mean ‘he killed
Gabriel’ (Worst Psychiatrist EVER!)
Fi begs her captor
for a word, something, anything, to tell her why she’s here and Os
broods. He remembers Fed reminding him he and Sonia have no offspring
and Pietro’s kid will inherit everything.
Fi has moved on to
begging to be allowed to call Gia who must be so worried, but when she
says her husband must be worried about her, Os seems to come out of his
trance, he stands up and picks up the gun
and points it at her legs. Fed is in his head urging him on, and the
gun moves up to her forehead
(Ayy I can’t watch. Oh its over)

I agree in that Assvaldo's softening attitude with Fiorella is weird. When he did the DNA test on Sonia in her other pregnancy, he didn't even care if the baby could get harmed, he just didn't want to raise a baby that was not his son. Maybe the writers want Fiorella to change Ass, you know she already softened a bit Helloisa's cold heart so now it's Ass turn.
Oh that Alina hasn't learned yet to close the doors when she is in therapy.
Oh J in Oregon, I don't want to give spoilers but it wouldn't be rare that the writers are trying to redeem Ass to make him the heart donor for Gianna. Mike Biagio has enough experience dying in novelas. I especially remember his awesome and sad death in Querida Enemiga as Chalo Carrasco.

I think the pregnancy hormones are affecting Assvaldo's emotions. That's the only explanation I have for why he seemed to be touched by Fi's pleas.

Sneaky Two Shoes this recap is FANTASTIC!! Thorough, rollicking, snarky, all the stuff we love!
I love how Gael figured out what happened in a snap! Pedro should have picked Gael's brain some more and they could have Fiorella back before midnight!

Thanks, Sneaky. We missed about 1/2 of this so your great recap was much needed. I agree with Nina - Os is a wimp. So easy to hire somebody to do your dirty work. A bit tougher when you have to pull the trigger. Come to think of it, he did pull the trigger back in the beginning when he shot Pedro... I'm hoping if Os does shoot, Fiorella bends down at that moment to try to scratch her nose or something, and the bullet goes through the door and wings Dante.
Freddie is so horrible, it's almost comical. All she needs is a mustache to twirl. It must be so much more fun for the actors to do evil than to have to be all rainbows and kittens all the time.

Thanks so much Sneaky. I missed this one working late except the bad psyche moment and Freddie. Had hoped the rest was better, but doesn't seem like it. Frankly, hate to admit, but I'm a bit with tofie. Listening to Fi go on and on, not sure that would have been fun. And to think they didn't snip and clip that??

I hate the ever convenient accidental eaves dropping that happens in telenovela,I agree that Alina is a terrible psychiatrist.
Freddie is crazy if she does not realize all her plans don't really make sense or help her gain the company.
Its good that everyone caught on quickly that Fiorella was kidnapped, Look like Pietro will be the one to the rescue this time.
