Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #99 1-15-16 Maximo, the Monster!

Ciao, MIVAC Peeps!  Ah, it was a great show!  I'm not messing with you, trying to prolong your anticipation, but let's get the smaller stuff out of the way first.  Here is the first of two installments!

Diana and Vitto

Diana cries to Vitto that this whole mess is her fault and she feels so guilty and she's sooo repentant!  Vitto tells her not to worry, his focus is on paying the ransom and getting Betito back.  They meet the next day with a hoodied and shaded Anibal who demands to be shown the money if they want to see Beto; Vitto demands to know Beto is well first.  Anibal grabs the aluminum briefcase with the money after a brief struggle, flinging Vitto and Diana to the ground.  Anibal growls that the money had better be right or Beto will die, and takes off!

Gael, Gigi and Papi Chulo

Gael calls Augustin "Papa" (awwww) as he introduces him to Gianna, Benni and Roxi.  We learn that the Chulo one is a writer.  Roxi sort of apologizes for jacking him up earlier while reminding him she wouldn't have done so if he had come right out and said who he was.  Augustin graciously apologizes and accepts responsibility.  He invites them all to lunch but Roxi and Gigi have to go to class and off they run.  Uh oh!  Gigi collapses just a few steps away and everyone runs to help her!

Later,  Dr. Elizalde has finished examining Gianna and talks to her and Gael.  Her collapse is an indication that the current treatment is not enough.  The only alternative is a transplant and she must get on the national registry right away.  The wait time for corneas and kidneys is about two years and for a heart, much longer.  Dr. Elizalde leaves Gigi and Gael are left with their fears.  Gigi, as usual, tries to put on a brave face but her smile crumbles to tears as she hugs Gael.

Sometime later in the evening they sit together at the table in the employee's kitchen.  Giana begs him not to tell anyone about the transplant; she especially doesn't want to worry Fiorella whose birthday is tomorrow.  Over mild protests Gael plans to throw Fifi a party and agrees to keep the transplant topic under wraps.

Roxi, Benni and Simoneta

Apparently Roxi has submitted an online job application.  It is a very brief scene and Simoneta cracked a joke I didn't catch!

Fiorella and Julietta

Our girl, Fifi, has a heart full of comfort and reassurance for everybody and we find her administering it to a nervous, nearly in tears Julieta who is waiting for an important text about her daughter.  Uh oh!  There it is, the text!  Oh my gosh, it's a picture of her Daughter's adoptive Father.  We see a picture of youngish man in a black and white photo that seems maybe thirty years old.  (Yes, I can do that.  I've looked at a lot of photos in my day.)  We are teased as Fiorella asks her to see the picture but the request is lost in hugs and happy reassurances that soon Julieta will find her daughter.  Fiorella never sees the picture and is off to the important board meeting at ACorp that you all will hear about later.

Pobrecita de Pilar!

Remember Freddie dragged Pilar away from Pedro's arms and has her downstairs now in the foyer of the Ranch.  It's not that dark and they are not quiet.  Pilar is crying Pedro's name and Freddie has her mouth clamped and hisses that there was nothing in the painting of Albano and where is the proof!  Sergio is coming down the stairs talking to someone in Italy.  He doesn't see or hear them and is talking loudly and leaves the area in search of a better signal.  Pilar calls out, "Sergio!  Sergio!"  Freddie's hold over Pilar is strong as she nastily spits, "He's no good for you, he's an alcoholic!"

Freddie takes Pilar back to a hotel where we see her talking to Dante.  She tries to mess with his head pretending not to know what he wants but they agree to meet the next morning.  The two meet at an outdoor cafe and it was kind of a long conversation.  Bottom line:  Freddie confesses to having sprung Pilar from the mental institution but she hasn't been able to get anything out of Pilar, that she is "like a fool, or an autistic." Freddie closely and repeatedly questions Dante as to why he never told her Pilar was alive and did he or did he not know why she was locked away.  Freddie, for her part says she learned from Pilar that Maximo locked her away because she knew of the swindle.  Dante denies knowing she was there for knowing about the swindle and thought that Max put Pilar away because  she had gone mad, was ashamed and thought it better to say she was dead.  [Oh yeah, that's much better!]  Dante says Maximo was always an absolutely ruthless man.  Freddie interjects that denying Pedro the right to be with his Mother was just cruel.  She thinks that Max is the devil and the hangman in her cards both for what he did to Pilar and for having a noose around Dante's neck preventing him from telling her all these years that Pilar was alive.  she asks again if it never occurred to him that there might be something more behind Pilar's imprisonment, he denies again.  Freddie announces that she no longer trusts Dante.  He has defrauded her!  She gets up and leaves the table.

Freddie returns to the hotel where she is hiding Pilar and we witness a sickening little snippet of her combing Pilar's hair and telling her how pretty she looks and how much better care she is going to get now that she's out of that awful place.  Pilar is as calm as we've seen her and yup, there is Dante listening and looking in through the partially open door.

Later we see Freddie has her cards spread out on the bed trying a different tact.  Pilar is repeating Pedro's name.  Freddie shouts in frustration, "Pedro, Pedro, Pedro!  All you talk about is Pedro, but before you can see him, you have to tell me where is the proof!"  Pilar repeats that the proof is in Albano!  Pilar cradles a little stuffed horse protectively as she repeats, Albano, Albano.  "Albano, hell, there is no proof!"  Freddie shouts and then notices the door is open.  She scolds Pilar that the door must remain closed at all times and she must not open it for anybody!  Freddie leaves. . .

. . .and Dante immediately enters and poor Pilar cringes on the bed, holding stuffed Albano (yep, I named the stuffed horsey) in front of her.  Pilar screams and calls Dante a killer!  He growls her name and waves a long, sharp screwdriver at her menacingly like a weapon.  Pilar cringes and cries, Dante grabs her shouting that it was an accident, he didn't mean to kill Gabriel and he didn't know she was locked up because she knew about the swindle!

In the stables of El Rancho, a young Dante stands over Gabriel who cowers on the floor in a pile of hay.  Dante tells him to just git and he will tell Maximo he killed him and threw him in the river.  Dante turns to walk away and Gabriel springs up and delivers a blow to the back of Dante's head which fells but doesn't quell him.  Dante fires off a shot that hits Gabriel in the chest, killing him instantly.  The view widens and we see a young Pilar looking in through the grates over the stable windows, crying in shock!

Dante threatens Pilar not to tell Federica anything about the killing.  He swears he didn't know anything and if words don't serve to shut her up, he will kill Pedro!  Pilar begins to scream "No, Pedro NO, NO!" over and over.  Dante jumps behind the door, Freddie runs in over to Pilar on the bed and Dante darts out!

Later,  Pilar has calmed down and Freddie is trying to get her to eat.  The poor dear is so traumatized, it's a wonder she hasn't just flat-out died!  Freddie coos, "How did you come to be locked up in there because you are not crazy!?"

A young fiesty Pilar confronts Maximo about having stolen all his brother's property and now having sent someone to kill him!  Max is belligerent and dismissive, telling her she needs to stop sticking her nose where it doesn't belong.  What the hell was she doing in the stables that late at night anyway!  She warns him to lower his voice, her child is in the house.  That's what you ought to be worried about Maximo barks, your child. . .your child. . .your child. . .

This reminds Pilar about Pedro and she begins to wail and bang her head on the dresser.  Freddie asks why she is saying no, roughly grabs her and gets in her face, "Tell me, I need to know, I need to know now!  You lost everything because of this trash, Maximo!"

Now, this next part happened near the end of the show after a scene with Eloisa, Aitana and Fiorella that I will tell you about later.  Anyway, it was obviously a hack editing job but suddenly we were thrown back into a flashback scene. . .

. . .of Pilar being forceably injected with drugs by two staff at the mental hospital.

Then we're back in the present with Freddie in the hotel room. . .then to Dante in the present somewhere in the ranch. . .

. . .and now in the study of The Ranch with Maximo telling Dante that he had Pilar locked up in the mental institution and she will never leave or he will blame Dante for the murder of his brother.  "Now, lets prepare for the funeral of Pilar Angeles!"  What!  Dante is shocked.  "Yes, Pilar died of an overdose on those stupid pills she takes!"  MUHA MUHA MUHAHAHAHAHA!

End of part one of two!

Part two of two

The Angeles Empire vs. Benigno, Ratana and the Ass

Sonia's plan goes into effect as a neon green-clad Simoneta brings the documents that Fabio supplied to Sonia.  Fiorella is in attendance as Eloisa opens the documents and reads the undeniable proof that Benigno, in cahoots with Aitana, attempted to take over ACorp.  Fiorella gets in a bunch of  “I told you sos” and even refers to Aitana as “Ratana” before going off, as instructed, to get Pedro to come to the study.  Eloisa calls Assvaldo over the intercom to get to the study now!

In their room, Assvaldo asks Sonia again what has she's up to that will supposedly resolve things without the need to kill Pedro!  Sonia is running the show and has gotten a reluctant Assvaldo to trust her.

Fiorella goes to get Pedro who frantically asks was she in the room earlier?  No.  He tells her he had the distinct impression that someone came in his room and called his name.  He feels he heard his Mother’s voice!  Fiorella thinks it was just a dream.  Pedro insists.  He knows his Mother’s voice!  Pedro says with dismay he thinks the blindness is driving him mad!  Fiorella bestows a shower of tactile reassurance and tells him about Eloisa having received proof of the de la Riva Palma’s dirty dealings.  This heartens him and he hastens to meet Eloisa in the study!

When Ass gets to the study and hears what’s up, he tries to yawn and throw shade on the damning evidence.  Pedro wants to hold the video conference with the Japanese right now.   Eloisa sends Assvaldo to go and get the video conference call set up.  She holds Pedro back to talk.

Ass talks to Sonia in the bedroom.  More what’s up your sleeve from him, more for the first time in your life trust me, from her.

Eloisa admits to having been totally wrong about Benigno and Aitana and begs for forgiveness for having tried to push Aitana down his throat.  Of course, Pedro is effusive in his insistence that there is nothing to forgive her for and he would forgive her anything!  Pedro says their game was very well played and effected many people outside the family. . .like Fiorella.  He reminds Eloisa how she washed Fiorella’s face in the wedding preparations and even made her participate in part of it.  Eloisa is apologetic again.  He compliments her on the generous and noble heart beneath her fierce determination and ironclad exterior.  They pledge not to let Benigno and crew dominate them but they must be more united than ever and she wants no more secrets between them!  Pedro begins to hem, haw and choke.  He begins to tell her something when the Ass comes in the room.  The Japanese are ready for the call.  Eloisa wishes them luck.

Assvaldo calls Benigno to warn him that Eloisa has proofs against him in the ACorp swindle.  He has no idea where she got the information from.  Sonia is loudly coaching Ass in what to say.  They are to meet in the ACorp boardroom and Benigno is to do exactly what Pedro says.  Benigno reluctantly agrees but warns, one false move and Ass can kiss his ass and his family goodbye.  Sonia with more trust me, it’ll be fine.

All arrive at the boardroom, Sonia and Assvaldo are there with Benigno and Aitana.  Benigno is still skeptical.  Ass tells them they will meet after this meeting with The Real Plan.  Not to worry.  They will get out fine.  Pedro enters, helped by Fiorella and Eloisa.  They take their seats and Pedro confesses he is still blind and he feigned it to keep him from taking over his family’s company.  Benigno protests that this was a dirty trick.  Pedro is like, “Puh-lease, I was meeting you at your own level.”  Aitana, center of her own universe, stands up and says all these charges are a lie!   All of this was to get rid of her and replace her with this filthy servant.  Fiorella stands up!

“You will NOT speak of me that way or I will come over there and pull every hair out of your head!”

Pedro stands  up and tells Aitana to shut it.  Aitana yells that everything is Fiorella’s fault.  Eloisa wants to know how everything could be Fiorella’s fault.  Aitana starts but Pedro doesn’t allow her to finish.  Anyway, long story short, Pedro presents exactly what Benigno did and gives him an ultimatum.  Sign over the stocks he swindled them out of and get out of their lives forever or he will turn them over to the law.  Benigno wants to know what they will be paid for the stock.  Say what?  Again, puh-lease, not one centavo!  Benigno spits and sputters.  Eloisa asks for the number for the Police and begins to dial.  Benigno caves in and begins to sign a raft of papers.  Assvaldo is to see to the stocks being transferred back to ACorp in the morning.  [Hoo boy!]

Eloisa and Fiorella get up to leave.  Aitana asks loudly, “You exchanged me for this, Pedro?  For that Italian wench who changes your granny’s diapers?"   She says some other nasty stuff which I didn’t catch.  Pedro stands and says he won’t let her speak that way of them!  They never sold him out or betrayed him for economic gain.  Aitana leaves.  [Pedro is a true professional.  In some cultures you would walk out of that room carrying both butt cheeks in your hands after having put somebody’s Grandmother in the dozens like that!]

Aitana and Fiorella meet up in the hallway.  Aitana calls her a dead fly and Fiorella returns the favor and tells Aitana her name is Fiorella Bianchi and holds out her hand in mock introduction.  Aitana slaps it and tells Fiorella she must be happy having gotten what she wanted.  Fiorella’s gaze is even as she asks Aitana if she’s not the least bit sorry for what she did to Pedro.  Aitana goes with both claws for Fiorella’s raven locks but stops cold when Eloisa approaches.

Elo:  First you slink into my life and into my home like a venomous snake and now you’re going to start messing with my people?

Aitana:  It distresses me that you’re going to defend Fiorella.

Eloisa:  Of course I’m going to defend her.  She is loyal which is much more than I can say for you.  You deceived me with every dirty word that came out of your mouth.  You are a hypocrite that only wanted to destroy the Angeles family.

Aitana:  My good name would have been a tremendous benefit to your grandson. .

Eloisa:  Shut up!  I’d do better calling you Hartana because I am fed up with (harta) your idiocy, trickery and boundless ambition!

Aitana:  Hartana, hunh?  Is that all you can come up with?  Well, you’re not going to insult me, you decrepit old hag!

Before Aitana can use her claws on Eloisa, Fiorella spins her around and Aitana locks her nails into Fifi’s hair but Eloisa springs on Aitana, grabs a handful of the mop and yanks Aitana’s head back and yells for security!  Two big burly guys suddenly appear and apprehend the Ragg Mopp who yells for her purse.  Fiorella throws the purse at her and Aitana tries to get a few last licks in calling after her “servant!  servant!”  Eloisa commands security to take Aitana to the trash where she belongs.  Fiorella yells, “And don’t you ever come back or you’re really going to find out who I am!”  Fiorella asks Eloisa if she’s okay and pats her hair.  Eloisa answers, “Oh yes, I’m fine.  Yeah.  You come looking for me, you will find me!”  And they both giggle.

Finally, back at Benigno’s place he, Assvaldo, Sonia, Celeste, and Aitana meet to hear what Sonia’s grand plan is for getting the de la Riva Palmas collective ass out of the vice.  Sonia is as cool as a cucumber and asks them to gather around her laptop.  She pushes a button and there on the screen is the video of Aitana and Assvaldo bumpin’ uglies in Sonia’s marital bed.

BAM!

Okay, peeps. Here's something for you to chew on. Just watched this morning. Working on part two!

Awesome, Lila. Loved Part one. I see you are likely thinking what I'm thinking-- that the proof is in stuffed TOY Albano.

Hated seeing Pilar at the mercy of Fed and Dante. I guffawed when Fed called Max a monster for keeping Pilar locked up and away from her son...just as SHE'S doing now! Can she hear herself?

Can't wait for your recap of the board meeting and aftermath.

Poor Gianna. Looks like that transplant is a done deal. Now it's just a matter of figuring out who's going to die to give her that heart.

I have a feeling that with the edits, we're losing Papi Chulo and Gael scenes.

Lila, you were on fire!

What an episode! What a recap! Simply great. You did an especially excellent job with the flashback scenes. You filled in much of what I did not understand.

"a hoodied and shaded Anibal" and "Gigi and Gael are left with their fears sickening little snippet" were among my favorites.

It was pure pain watching Pilar being abused by both Freddie and Dante. I can't decide if Dante's cruelty or Freddie's ministrations was worse. Both made me shiver.
If there is anything for which there is little forgiveness, it is mistreating anyone who has emotional issues.

I kept yelling at Fi, look at Julieta's cell phone! Look at the picture! I'm sure many of us did but she just did not listen.

As many of you predicted, Gi needs a heart transplant. At this point, I have absolutely no idea if a donor will be any of the current characters.

Will check in later to read the next part Lila. Thank you again for all that you are doing here. Without you, I would have to stop watching as I would be lost.

Diana

The writers obviously want the LETTER to be the thing that prompts the big reveal about Fi being Julieta's daughter, and I HATE that, since Vitto has no qualms about keeping the letter and its contents to himself. So all the other things that could give Fi, Juli or Santino a clue that they are related (pictures, Fi's birthday date, etc.) will be conveniently obscured or hidden. It just gives Vitto too much importance in this storyline.

"fells but doesn't quell him" See there Lila, that thar is worth the price of admission. Thanks

Lila – Wow, this is a very thorough recap and took a lot of time and work . . . and it’s only part #1. Thank you!!!

Has anyone else had that “oh, well, duuuuh!” moment of realization that Sergio’s wife is still alive(!!!) and Julieta is now …. what? Free to reunite with Santino?

Could Pilar’s stuffed horsey be named “Albano”?

Roxi seems to be adjusting well to her new station in life.

Hey y'all. Mille grazie to all! Back after I do some stuff. Part two is up!

Wow, if this is just the quick recap on the small stuff, can't wait for your telling of the board meeting. This was awesome!! So detailed, I felt queasy all over again.

There is NOTHING to be said about Freddie and Dante's treatment of Pilar that doesn't deserve the biggest and worst type of anvils. I'd like to see Freddie dealt the same fate as Pilar because right or wrong on her father being swindled, there is no excuse for what she has done to get that news out.

And yes, doris, I'll call it. I"m convinced the stuffed animal Pilar holds on to with everything in her is Albano. Wouldn't be surprised it wasn't Pedro's once.

If it wasn't for the poor child, I could give a lick about Diane and that whole plot line. The cut Gael/Papa scenes for them...grrrrrr.

I get Fi's birthday is the next day, but she needs to know about Gia and if the girl doesn't do it, Gael needs to tell Fi and Petey. Still convinced it will be a cast member...and though I wouldn't wish Freddie on anyone, let her worthless, spoiled self be useful, bump her off and let Gia live. These writers, this show...they'll make it someone we care about. And I won't repeat my guess of who...

Waiting with anticipation for part 2. Best scene ever for Elo during that and can't wait to see you give it your special touch.

Daisynjay

Wow we crossed postings and just read Part 2!! Woohoo and BAM! indeed. Great again.

I wish I had rewind when watching to see Elo grab a headful of Hairball's mop. BEST MOMENT EVER for her!! Having all that hair for once made me glad. Such fun. And then Sonia's little surprise. Almost too bad we wait for nest week to get reactions. Happy dancing this whole plot line on the take over though is being wound up.

But I am worried with Fi and all this build up with Eloisa. When she finds out about the marriage, which better come out now, will she revert back to her elitist self or be glad of it?? How many episodes do we have to go??

Daisynjay

Lila- Hoo, boy! That was some part two! Fabulous.

Loved how that whole reveal went down. Can't wait for the reaction on Monday about the video. Looks like it will do the trick with Aitana's family. But not sure if Assvaldo will turn murderous towards Sonia, or be turned on by her Machiavellian plan.

Grazie, mi beloved Peeps! Well, Mr. DVR showed me his digital tail last night and didn't record a darned thing so I had to get up and watch it on hulu this morning. Let me make my way through comments!

A big mille grazie a tutti!

Vivi @ 11:36 Yes, that little stuffed horse suddenly got my attention when I was typing up my notes! Wouldn't that be a hoot! And yes, the treatment of Pilar is very hard to take!

And yes, Vivi, I feel Papi chulo is going to be the donor! WAAAAAHH!!!

Vivi, your comment at 11:51 is piercing in its analysis. YES, Fiorella, Julieta and Santino should have figured it out by now but all those BIG CLUES are going ignored!

Diana @ 11:42 I am so glad I am helping you enjoy this show, Diana! I want red, hot, burning, sharp anvils for Dante and Freddie for what they're doing to poor Pilar. My gosh, Pedro is going to blow a gasket! What cruelty!

I kept yelling at Fi, look at Julieta's cell phone! Look at the picture! I'm sure many of us did but she just did not listen.

Yes! Now that was maddening!

Tofita! Hey, girl! Thank you BIG!

Doris Mr. Lila says he can attest that, yeah, I took a lot of time! ;D

Doris, I DID NOT REALIZE THIS!!

Has anyone else had that “oh, well, duuuuh!” moment of realization that Sergio’s wife is still alive(!!!) and Julieta is now …. what? Free to reunite with Santino?

Daisynjay @ 1:13 Daisy, my gosh, what they're doing to Pilar is a crime, sin and a shame! And Freddie has the nerve to say that Maximo was cruel keeping Pedro away from his mother! She's a freaking hypocrite as well!

Yes, Doris, they are cutting Gael and Papi Chulo scenes I bet. GRRRRRR, indeed!

Daisy, Vivi already said it about the donor (speculation only) and we all are going to have a good cry. . . .oh, I can't talk about it!

Pretty ponies! Pretty ponies!

Back later, amici!

Lila - Great part #2!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! ♥♥♥

"Sonia's plan goes into effect as a neon green-clad Simoneta brings the documents that Fabio supplied to Sonia. "
Here is where I rant about our local Univision affilitate --- That was not shown. Once the pre-MIVAC commercial ended, we local viewers were shown Elo & Fi looking through the folder. That scene FELT like something had been edited out and Lila's recap proves it. Apparently the commercial for the local Spanish-speaking/bilingual law firm (i.e., revenue) was more important to the local affiliate. Gggrrrrr.....

Will Sonia's video shame Benigno & Ratana into going away forever? Are they even capable of feeling shame? embarrassment? or guilt?

This whole Gianna-bad-heart episode does not bode well, this close to ultimas semanas and the way some things are getting wrapped up. Maybe Pilar will jump out a window and --- ta-daaaa --- a heart for Gi?

Lila, second verse same as the first. Outstanding.

"Fiorella bestows a shower of tactile reassurance", "Aitana goes with both claws for Fiorella’s raven locks but stops cold when Eloisa approaches" and "She pushes a button and there on the screen is the video of Aitana and Assvaldo bumpin’ uglies in Sonia’s marital bed" were among more of my favorites.

doris,"Has anyone else had that “oh, well, duuuuh!” moment of realization that Sergio’s wife is still alive". No! Amongst everything going on, that never occurred to me! Thank you so much for pointing that out!

Now who would have thought that Sonia, dubbed an inappropriate and unworthy partner for Os would have been clever enough to put her scheme into motion? I am very impressed. Imagine what she could do if she channeled that brain power into good. Os deserves to go down the drain with Aitana and her horrid parents.

This is getting so good!

Thank you again Lila...

Diana

Daisy @ 1:22. Grazie! Girl, wasn't that a sweet scene when Elo grabbed Aitana by that mop. And then, she was like, dragged her a few paces and called, "come take out the trash!" That was great. Yah. I should watch that again myself!

Daisy, Eloisa had better be glad Petey and Fifi are married! They are all in for a shockeroo when they find out Pilar is alive and has been imprisoned for years. Pedro will be so distraught and only Fifi can calm and comfort him. At this point, even without knowing about his Mom, I hope Pedro has gained some courage in Fiorella's arms and will stand up to Eloisa for their love!

Grazie, Vivi @ 1:39. Yah, Monday should be good!

not sure if Assvaldo will turn murderous towards Sonia, or be turned on by her Machiavellian plan.

Yah. Damned freak!

Doris, is that right? They cut out Simoneta bringing the envelope. Yeah. It was in a manila envelope with a sticky that said, "From an ananymous friend." Jeez.

Will Sonia's video shame Benigno & Ratana into going away forever? Are they even capable of feeling shame? embarrassment? or guilt?

Uh, no, those dogs aint got a lick of shame!

Oh, Doris, Maybe Pilar will jump out a window and --- ta-daaaa --- a heart for Gi?

Mille grazie, Diana! Now who would have thought that Sonia, dubbed an inappropriate and unworthy partner for Os would have been clever enough to put her scheme into motion?

I'm impressed too. Sonia has been observing a lot around ACorp and around the Ranch. She's been woefully underestimated and she's been underestimating herself as well. And yes, take Os down.

I am curious as to how showing that the Ass and the Mop are sluts is going to bring down the de la Riva Palmas and save Sonia and Assvaldo's hides?

Reckon we'll find out!

Well, if Pilar does jump out a window, dies and Gi gets her heart, then Sergio is free for Julieta.
Clearly I have watched too many telenovelas! 😜😜😜

Lila, maybe if Sonia puts that video on YouTube, Ratana won't be able to find any decent guy to marry her?

Doris, Hee Hee for your scenario and your symbols. Cute.

I want a video montage of Aitana to be uploaded to YT with the Ames Brothers, "Ragg Mopp" song playing. Anybody click on the link? Anybody remember that song?

Let Pilar live and get back with Sergio. Remember how pitifully he cried at the her crypt that day. No. His love for Pilar can reawaken. Let Fifi's parents get back together. Sergio will get a second chance to right his wrongs during the earlier part of his marriage and he can help that poor wounded soul from the evil inflicted on her by his father.

There. I have declared! :)

Lila, while I'm not watching this (though I kept up with it somewhat during it's initial run... I like Nailea Norvind as villain), I'm aware of everything that you're doing to keep this lively little patio alive, and I wanted to drop my own particular thanks to you. You've REALLY gone above and beyond the call of duty for everybody here, and I want to THANK you for your wonderful efforts.

Salute a voi, e di tutti qui sul patio!! :-)

Awwww, Stevey! Molte grazie, fratello, veramente! I appreciate that so much!

:D

Thank you to all the recappers this week. I will watch it tomorrow after reading more comments. Maria, What was left out?
MaryKat

Grazie, MaryKat! e ben arrivata!

Hi folks, this was an amazing episode. Like you all, I loved seeing Ratana being humilliated and when Helloisa pulled her hair was awesome.

I agree with you Doris. Sonia surely is gonna blackmail Ratana's parents on ruining her reputation with that video if they accuse Ass and her of being their acomplices. Who would like to marry with a girl that is having sex with the cousin of her ex fiance and even worst being him a married man? Maybe Ass now will value more his wife since she will save him from falling in a big hole from which he could barely come out. However, I think it would have been interesting to see Pietro, Helloisa, and Sergio's reaction to Ass's betray. He would never been forgived even if he begs pardon which I doubt because he feels like an Almighty God.
By the way, Pietro was so benevolent in not sending Ratana and Beg to jail. Oh yeah let them be free so they can keep plotting against you. How smart my dear Pietro? So poor Fiorella had to hide her marriage with him for just this simple oh return the shares that you swindled if you don't want to go to jail.

Oh good night Marykat. I don't think there was much edited out however this was episodes 138 and 139 combined.

Before Simona came with the anonymous folder, the reunion of the employees with Helloisa was finishing and everybody was getting up from their chairs and leaving.
Maybe they cut a scene of Diana and Vittorio arriving to the rescue of Betito
A hilarious scene of Adela, Reynaldo, Benito, and Roxy practicing a job interview, maybe they cut a piece in the scene of Roxana making her job application on the internet.
They cut a piece of Pilar's flashback scene of being taken to the mental clinic. The scene begins with her in the hospital's hallway screaming while being grabbed by several nurses or doctors.

Other edited scenes:

A sweet scene of Gianna and Gael where he tells her that she is going to confess grandma that they have a relationship
A scene of Helloisa, Fiorella, Pietro, and Assvaldo where Fiorella is telling what documents come in the anonymous folder that proof Beg's swindle. Pietro confesses grandma that he already knew that and Ass hypocritely fakes that Pietro told him later. Ass reaction is priceless, he is shoking out, almost wanting to cry and rolling too much his eyes.
A scene of Fiorella and Pietro where she is feeding him with the breakfast food. He tells her that he is going to confess grandma that they are married.
Maybe a scene of Julieta talking with the person that had important information from her daughter.

O Lila what an awsome recap this is. Good
Read for the weekend.
Wow, (thelma)Eloise & (louise) fiorella are a
Force to be reckened with. Loved it when elo
Grabed the mop with legs. Asstana seems to
Think that working as a servant Is shamful. Its Good honest work. Some people wouldn't be Able to find their underwear without the help Of a good servant.
You'd have to be a mean coldblooded totally
Heartless inhuman bastard to allow your
Little grandson to believe his mom is dead, when he had her druged and inprisoned in a mental Institution just so he can hide the truth about murder & Theft. Maximo just wasn't smart enough to make his own money. He had to steal his brothers life. How much of This is elo privy to? Ooooo boy! Shes in big Trouble. All that pain he was in when he was in Dying and still wouldn't confess. Beggin his wife to kill him. Coward!!! He probably ended up at that hot place. Now freddy is right for being upset but she's got kind of an evil streak in her that she probably got from Uncle max. she likes to inflict pain on people. I hope somebody finds out about pilar because when Freddie gets what she wants she's probably going to get rid of her like so much garbage just like uncle max.

How convenient to have fiorella run out to a meeting when she could have seen a picture of her father when he was younger. they are saving that for a big reveal.

So sergio and pilar will reunite and juliet & hot daddy santini and babygirl fi + gi and her
New heart will be a new family. We'll see in the following weeks.

Thank you Lila, this was an amazingly detailed recap.

I'm really loving Eloisa and the way she attached Aitiana.I hope Pilar does not eventually die with the level of psychological trauma Freddy is putting her through. Maybe Pilar/Sergio and Santino/ Julieta can make it till the end happily.Freddy and Dante should get at least some of the heaviest anvils possible. Each revelation of Max's deeds keeps increasing my disdain for him, how he could so easily destroy his son and grandson's family.

I hope Eloisa doesn't feel too betrayed when she finds out about Fiorella and Pedro's wedding. Sonia is really turning the tables on Assvaldo and Aitiana, but i don't mind, it would be much easier if the villains collectively destroyed each other.

Gael and Gianna are really toughening it out, i hope that its not one of the good guys who dies to save her life through the transplant.

Elorej

Ok, I'm back and thank you again Lila. Not only for this grrrreeeaaat installment but holding us together.

This story has enough unsolved mystery to hold me but it's a shame it's a Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Mystery.

Hands down the smartest of the bunch is Sonia. I mean of the bunch, everybody, good guys and bad guys, she needs her own spin off.

I can't help it whenever Fifi runs up and barks I think of Lassie. In a dress of course.

I care way more about Gigi's heart condition than I do Petey's blindness though Petey has thrown the larger fits.

Speaking of Gigi, that poor girl lost both mother and father and no one it trying to hook her up with live rich bio parents.

I don't like Eloisa at all but she did pull the hair or the right bitch.

Buongiorno a tutti!

Hey, Nina! Wasn't that little dust-up between Aitana, Eloisa and Fiorella the best! Yah, I loved it when Eloisa said, "If you come looking for me, you will find me." I've heard that in novelas before, we don't exactly have that wording in English (that I know of) but we do have the "you want to start some sh*t? I'll finish it" and variations. Eloisa may have taken care of some other mop heads after Max in her younger days.

You'd have to be a mean coldblooded totally
Heartless inhuman bastard to allow your
Little grandson to believe his mom is dead, when he had her druged and inprisoned in a mental Institution just so he can hide the truth about murder & Theft.

Yah, pretty much that's Max!

Good point, Nina:

All that pain he was in when he was in Dying and still wouldn't confess.

No death bed confession or repentance for that devil! Good, so he's assured a seat in the deepest depths of hell! And agree that Freddie is capable of discarding Pilar when she's done with her.

Marla Thanks for stopping by, and for the fill-ins. Got a little tied up yesterday, didn't make it back to the Patio.

Back in a bit, Peeps! Just got up, I'm starving!

Grazie tantissimo, Elorej!

You are on point with everything you note, especially this:

Each revelation of Max's deeds keeps increasing my disdain for him, how he could so easily destroy his son and grandson's family.

What kind of "person" does this? He destroyed his own son's family. Sergio has barely recovered from the trauma.

I join you in hoping they haven't just brought Pilar back as a prop to show how evil Dante and Freddie are. We get that! Now that she's back I want them PUNISHED! I'll have to be content knowing Max is slowly roasting for an eternity on a spit in hell and I want HEALING for Pilar and a reunion with Sergio and Pedro!

Eloisa had better NOT feel betrayed! She knows how she fought Pedro and Fiorella being together crooked tooth and nail and she's sTILL against it. However she feels, she'd better suck it right up!

Yes! Let Gianna get the heart of an anonymous donor. Contrive a reason for why she moved up in the transplant registry, do a time jump, anything, just don't take a good guy to give her a heart!

Hey, Tofita! Welcome back, girl! Grazie!

Tofie, where do you come up with this!

I can't help it whenever Fifi runs up and barks I think of Lassie. In a dress of course.

HA!! How did you like the skirmish between the mean girl, the nice girl and Grannie?

Oh, wait, I typed the question before I finished the comment. Here's my answer:

I don't like Eloisa at all but she did pull the hair or the right bitch.

Aitana has been so fun to hate. It's a different kind of hate than what I feel for Freddie. Each have their niche and I loved Ratana being put in her place. They'd better not let Freddie off. What she's doing to Pilar is just demonic!

Problem for Freddie is she is right about Max and I can empathize with her frustration but she didn't have to go all crazy nasty and make herself the bad girl. Her father was killed on Max's order to cover his swindle and I find it difficult, along with Freddie, to believe Eloisa never suspected something was amiss. I agree it makes no sense for Freddie to abuse Pilar and should lay off for both of them the most harmed by Max.

To me Aitana is just a spoiled girl humiliated and used by her father and Eloisa. Not giving Aitana a pass, she could have refused, but had Eloisa not insisted she would never have been in a position to help daddy. I don't even hold against her the attacks on Fifi (up to a point) cause Fifi does have a way of passive/aggressive taunting that would make me mad.

If Freddie really wants the truth I recommend she take a step back and give Sonia a call. Lay everything she knows out and Sonia will wrap this up within the week.

Tofie:

Re Freddie and The Swindle

but she didn't have to go all crazy nasty and make herself the bad girl.

Amen, Tofie, on all points. Every few weeks I fuss about how Freddie is a villian when, having a righteous cause, she should have been a good guy. I just feel a need to let off steam about that every now and then. Dante did kill on Max's orders and for years he's been effing his victim's daughter while he looks her in the eyes and lies through his teeth. She finally, upon finding Pilar, lost her trust in him. But just the thought of what I just said above makes Freddie a victim of Max who's evil has reached beyond the grave. Dante is continuing to execute his demonic will upon Pilar, Pedro, Sergio AND Freddie and for that he must pay. Unfortunately, since she went all "crazy and nasty" Freddie has to pay for what she's doing now and I think we all know she's not done.

If Freddie really wants the truth I recommend she take a step back and give Sonia a call. Lay everything she knows out and Sonia will wrap this up within the week.

Word. Like I said, everybody underestimates that woman!

I understand the partial forgiveness towardst Freddy but every time you see her being nasty to Pilar and wanting to kill granny, and saying nasty things about Fiorella and anyone else that she thinks is beneath her that kind of goes out the window. she nasty and she need to pay for that stuff shes doing. You can want revenge without causing harm to other people. It appears she doesn't know how to do that just yet, it also appears that she's going to have to learn it the hard way.

ITA Tofie, if they're going to get a heart for gi I hope it's not somebody good that have to die for that. It can be a anonymous person like you said move up the timeline, yeah. A time lapse. Because I really hate it when they take good people out of a telenova and leave the Hellions to cause more problems everybody. they do that in American soaps to I hate it.

Sonia has her crap, but it appears, the woman is smarter than her stupid husband.
She keeps catchin him with his pants down. LITERALLY!!!!!!
Now whose stupido Assy!!!!!

Wow Lila...you really are going above and beyond. Fabulous part I and II done in your crackerjack style. As somebody said, you're doing an exemplary job holding this all together and keeping it going 'till the end. Many thanks. Hope you have Monday off from work and can just put your feet up and relax. Or maybe shovel snow. It's snowing down here in Ohio tho' not much is sticking. Stay warm and again, muchas gracias.

I echo everything Judy B. said. Thank you, thank you, muchísimas gracias, Lila, for another great essay and for keeping at this so faithfully.
It is getting more exciting with so many plots at their turning points. I'm glad I stuck around - and I'm glad the patio is still here to keep me company.
Ann C

JudyB! Mille grazie amica mia! You are welcome, hon! Yah, it's bone-chillin' here as well but I promised I wouldn't complain since this really is the first time it's been cold this winter and we haven't even had real shovelable snow.

Yes! I'm off Monday! YAAAY! Thank you, plan to do a lot of vegetating!

:D

Mille grazie, Ann C! Yes! It IS getting exciting and we deserve every minute of it! I'm glad you stuck around too! I'm looking forward to Monday!

Checking in on the weekend comments. Good stuff!!

Thank you Marla for the fill in's. Dang, it never fails to irk me some days knowing what we've missed. Uni, either show us the TN or don't. This is bordering on ridiculous already on these editing jobs.

They sure didn't pull any punches making max look like some Caligula in how he went about his vengeance and business. Eyes bugged out, almost a gleeful sneer in giving orders to destroy someone. How cold Elo have had no clue this guy was like this, or did she not care since it left her rich and comfortable.

As for Freddie, there is the temptation to see her driven to her madness to avenge the wrong taken against dear old dad. But what if dear old dad was as bad as Max? I keep thinking that Dante was all ready to let him go and he was the one that still went for the attack causing the knee jerk shot by Dante. Then it was down hill from there. Maybe Gabe was no different than his brother. I'm almost hoping so because otherwise I don't understand painting Freddie as evil and increasingly crazy as she is getting.

Daisynjay

Seriously, Daisy, how could Max have hid that much bile or evil! If he was trying to be all Patriarchal goodness and light, he must have accidentally let loose with a MUWAHHAHHA even once, you know what I mean?

We'll see how they paint Eloisa in all this depravity. Looks like they're going for wide-eyed innocence, a young Elo loving and standing by her man!

Amen on your final paragraph, Daisy! I feel the same way!

The evilness may be an inherited trait, passed on from maybe Gabe to Fedeloca, definitely Max to Assvaldo. Hopefully it will stop with that generation.

Hi my dear friends. Looks like the writers are painting Maximo like a real monster, oh well monster is not enough word to describe him. He was the devil. He is the real villain of this novela, everybody in the Angeles family was in some way victim of his evil.

Pietro- Separated from his mom and grew without having a real father
Assvaldo- Grew up being Pietro's shade and always being compared with him
Sonia- Despised and rejected as Assvaldo's wife for not being born rich
Gael- Separated from his real father
Roxana- Treated as an orphan when she was Maximo and Joaquina's daughter
Federica- Lost her dad, was treated as a recogida, and got in love with her dad's killer without knowing
Sergio- Lost her lovely wife and felt guilty of her supposed death
Pilar- Separated from her son and husband, was locked for years in a mental clinic.
Joaquina- Forced to be the nany of her own daughter and had to work for the wife of the man she loved.
Helloisa- Cheated by Maximo and had Maximo's daughter and ex lover living in her house without knowing. She had such a blind love to Maximo that he even killed him to stop his suffering from cancer.
Sara- Separated from her real love and maybe lost a chance to give her kids a happy life.
Dante- Used by Maximo to get rid of any obstacle in his way and he got in love with the daughter of the man he killed, what a karma.
Gabriel- Swindled by his own brother and killed

Oh I forgot Papi Chulo.

Agustin- Was separated from his son and the woman that he loved.

I don't know how envolved elo is in all of this, but the ol Girl does have a ruff edge on her. Shes lovin fi's loyalty, but she still don't think shes good enough to be an angeles. Shes cute & Sweet when shes being nice to fi, but that ol Sharp edge comes out when she thinks fi is Over steppin her position as loyal servant.
Hey heres a fun fact I found about the lady
That's playin Eloisa Angeles: She did a nude photo in playboy 1975 july edition. I was kind of shocked, but in her day she looks like she coulda been a looker. And she also did some
Singing. The lady is quite talented. I like to
Hear her talk even tho I don't know what the
Heck shes sayin.

Yall enjoy your 3day weekend. I know I will.
We're gettin our first frozen freeze here in
North florida. And I do mean frozen. I get to
Sleep in. Yaahay!!!!!
Thanks again Lila. Stay warm.

Nice recapitulation of Max's dastardly deeds and their aftermath, which lasts to this day, Marla. He IS the very devil!

G'ight, Nina!

Yes maximo was a peice of work, from hell
Where he was returned. What a horrible man.
And elo seemed to idolize him. She was probably one if those wives that didn't ask queustions. Just be the dutiful wife. That is
About to come back and bite her In the ol tookus.

LILA--after being away from computer for two days, just having the pleasure of reading your recap. Stellar! Loved it! Thank you so much!

I didn't pick up on Pilar's stuffed horsie but am betting you-all are right: all the important evidence is sewn inside.

Anibal's threat to Diana: hand over the money or I'll kill Betito. Hey mister, isn't that your own son you are talking about?

Comments have covered all the delightful points which made this recap such fun.
See you on the Patio!

J in Oregon

Nina, I agree, we are leaning to Eloisa being somewhat naïve, a spoiled rich girl who didn't care what was going on with hubby's world as long as she had her standing in society, pretty jewels and got to play the matriarch in the household. But she did a crap job of it, no matter how they paint her. I'll never forgive her for how she allowed everyone to go at each other and sit there just ruling over the table watching it happen. In that, there is a buy in to either knowing the TYPE of man she married or thought his style of ruthlessness was something to admire.

The actor they choose to play Max had me head-scratching though. Lord what did Quina see in that man?? He must have been Mr. Smooth Moves and had that essence of power and money. The fact she has never really said one bad word about the man means she doesn't see how he treated her as a problem either...like she was grateful he took her daughter and made her a servant. He must have been a master negotiator...evil but good at it.

If Petey is smart, and hopefully Pilar comes out of this with her wits intact and he realizes what Gramps was really all about, he'll tell Grammy he wants no part of A-Cor, sell it and split the takings. Only problem with that is Asshat, a character I have a hard time seeing redeemed at all.

It will be fun guessing ultimate anvils for some of these people. Pilar's room is available...I can see one character slated for that already. Just sayin'.

Daisynjay

Ciao e mille grazie, J in O Yah, that Anibal is a piece of crap, ain't he? I don't want to insult animals everywhere by calling him that! When women get mixed up with slime like that I alwlays wonder, didn't even a little bit of assholeness reveal itself back in the day when you thought you were so in love? Diana was probably swayed by a few baubles he robbed from Julieta. . .tsk tsk tsk!

Daisy, love your whole comment! It WILL be fun guessing anvils. I think I know where you're going with Pilar's room. . .just put a big "F" on the door!

Anon 1:52, I agree about the head scratchin
About max. He ain't even goodlookin. She
Must have fallen for his money and sweettalk
And sweet talk between the sheets. It would
Be good if there was some attraction. But his
Evilness makes him uglier than normal. And
Whose the character slated for pilars room? What am I missing?
Eloisa might know something, after all she
Threatened to make fiorella disappear if pedro tried to make a life with her. Now where did she get that attitude from, that she
Could make people disappear that get in her way?

That's just me guessing Freddie could end up going mad over this "where's the proof" of her daddy's being cheated and murdered. Seems if she doesn't get that proof and if she doesn't bring down the Angeles, her own family and if she doesn't get ALL the Angeles fortune, she will probably go crazy.

Just speculation!

Just speculation, but I'm thinking that something might be inside the stuffed horse. Maybe the toy was Pedro's first Albano.

I'm really hoping that nothing bad happens to Roxana. I'd like to see her do a turnaround and start treating Joaquina nice.

I'm thinking that Sonia has put herself in danger now. What was her plan?

Whoops, forgot. Thanks Lila for the recap. And thanks to everyone else who recapped this week.
