Caray, Caray!

After Augusto's declaration of looooove, Alicia says she now knows why she got the award. Augusto insists she got it on her own. His feelings had nothing to do with it. Augusto asks her not to close the door on him. He wants her to let him win her heart. She does not know what to say. In that case, he says it is better to not say anything. Tomorrow they will be back at work as if nothing happened. He pushes her trophy to her. Congratulations! Alicia is very somber through all of this. The expression on her face does not change.

Sandra is sneaking around Icónika. She ends up in Augusto's office entering through the secret panel where she runs into Elías rummaging through Augusto's desk. They are both surprised by the other's presence. Elías wants to know if she is there looking for revenge on Augusto. Of course not she answers. She reminds him about how he always hated Augusto. Elías says he really does now because Augusto used him to frame Beatriz at the motel with the photos. Sandra is shocked. Fátima comes in and wants to know why they are in Augusto's office. It was locked. They make up a story that they heard something in the office (maybe an animal or Godzilla) so they went in to investigate. Elías and Sandra do their Godzilla imitation as they walk out. Fátima clearly does not believe them but does her own Godzilla imitation, too.


Roberto comes by the Gutiérrez's house since Valeria told him about the eviction. Nacho is not impressed by Valeria spreading the news of their eviction around. Then Roberto asks Nacho THE question:  what happened with the lawsuit against the investment bank that lost all of Nacho's money?  Hearing that,  Elsa is in tears and incensed  and now knows that what she suspected was right all along. She warned him how many times? Roberto takes Magos out so that Elsa and Nacho can talk alone. Nacho tries to blame Elsa somehow since she is so "perfect" and treats him like a little kid hiding things from him all the time. Elsa reminds him it was he and he alone who was "hiding" ; that he didn't pay the mortgage. Yes, he agrees that she warned him but he did it and now it is not so easy to deal with since it was such a huge mistake. Elsa thinks it is better that they separate for a while; maybe not forever, not a divorce. She just cannot be with him right now. If they keep talking they will end up saying things that will just make it all worse. He is left with his mouth hanging open.

At the Cafecito, Elsa talks to Magos and Ximena about finding a place to stay. Roberto offers his apartment to them where they can stay with Valeria. Elsa informs Nacho that he is going to sleep at the Cafecito. Roberto stays behind to talk to Nacho. Roberto tries to give him hope that sooner or later Elsa will come around. Nacho is not too sure. He is going to have to find a new job. Roberto says he can count on everyone and not to forget about Alicia. Nacho says would rather not talk about Alicia right now. The reason she is like she is is because of him. He pressured her into things that weren't for her.

At Icónika, Chuchette is filling in the office staff on how Alicia won the prize last night. Alicia enters the office with her trophy and gets a less than lukewarm hip hip hoorah. They all have excuses why they weren't there at the award dinner for her. Alicia has the same somber look on her face. She was surprised Fátima did not come. Fâtima says she was under the impression it was just for VIP's and that clearly is not her. Fátima asks if she should put the trophy with the other company awards. No, Alicia is taking it to her office with her.

"Big mouth Brisa" confesses to Braulio that she told Nacho all about Alicia stealing Braulio's idea. He is not happy. She believes the truth will set everybody free.

Luciana and Roberto are having a conversation back at the mansion. Luciana is worried about the future. Roberto tells her she is in love and expecting a baby. There is nothing to be worried about. He loves her as a friend and only wants to see her as a happy mother. They hug.

At Roberto's apartment, Elsa talks with Valeria about her situation with Nacho and how embarrassed she is. Valeria tells her she does not have to be so dramatic (as they stand next to some cans of La Costeña product). Elsa pretends to be choking Nacho.

Elías and Sandra are in Alicia's office pitching an ad idea. Alicia is not listening because she is preoccupied with the award dilemma. She asks them if she really deserves it. Elías does believe that she deserves it if not necessarily for the toilet paper ad campaign but for all the work she has put in throughout all the years she has worked there: for making the transition from Lichita to Alicia. Sandra reluctantly agrees. Alicia tries to talk herself into believing. Suddenly Fátima appears at the door with Nacho who wants to talk to the "general director" about selling coffee and sandwiches at Icónika. Elías and Sandra leave. Alicia tells us she was going to learn a lesson in humility (when she needed it the most) from the teacher who had taught her the most important lessons in her life. Nacho thinks she would be embarrassed if he were to work there. No she wouldn't be. It would be an honor to work with him. Next Nacho wants to know if the trophy is what she got for the idea she stole from her friend Braulio. She admits she stole the idea from Braulio and is worried what Nacho thinks of her. He thinks that she is a smart girl who made a mistake like most people are capable of doing. The important thing is for her to make amends for her mistake in a timely fashion. Alicia apologizes for having said what she did about her dead brother. Nacho apologizes for having pressured her as he did and should not have. Alicia is going to forgive him because he is the best father ever. Father and daughter reconcile. Alicia asks how things are going with her mom. Not good, they are barely talking and he wants to be out of the Cafecito to do something on his own. Alicia says yes he can bring his cart to Icónika and Alicia will help him get whatever he needs to set it up. Alicia also offers to let him stay at her apartment. They do a celebration dance around her office.

Augusto talks to Draco about how having patience always results in a reward. He is referring to Alicia. Changing the topic, it won't be long before "Uncle Skull" from API board is going to start investigating the financial irregularities in the API books. Poor Roberto with what awaits him. Augusto just smiles.

There is a surprise visitor at the mansion: Sandra. Beatriz is there with her son Alex. Beatriz explains to Alex that she has forgiven Sandra. Sandra brings news to Beatriz. Although there is no real proof, they believe that there are reasons to believe that Augusto is involved in something illegal.

Luciana and Gumaro have a lovely moment (eventually). First, she comes in his room while he is playing his guitar. He tells her how he is tired of her not being able to make up her mind about him. One moment she loves him, the next she doesn't. She sets him straight: he is the man she loves and they are going to make their own family together. They dream of a new life far away. She tells him about the money from the house sale she is counting on. Kissy face time! She is also thinking how she can get  money from Augusto for all of those years he did not support her. He owes her.

At Icónika, Alicia calls a press conference and starts to tell everyone how she has decided to return her award  that she does not deserve. Augusto comes in just at the right/wrong moment and disagrees saying that she does not know what she is talking about. She is only saying what she is because of how modest she is.  She thinks that the award  is too much recognition. Augusto tells the press she deserves that award and many more for her work at Icónika. Augusto gets her out of there and leaves Chuchette to deal with the press. Augusto lectures her on wanting to admit that their most successful campaign was based on an idea that she stole. She just wants Braulio to get his due credit. Auguato tells her that she needs to think beyond herself and not be selfish. She needs to think about the company and its image. She promises to never ttalk to the press again without consulting him. He apologizes for being so hard on her. He just wants to protect her and take care of her himself if he has to. (Jarifa says: run, Alicia, as fast and far as you can and then hide!!!) Later as Alicia blogs, she tells ud that to do the right thing she would have to throw her all the years of her Icónika experience overboard, so to speak, and that was not an easy thing to do.

The API board tells Roberto that their financial advisors are telling them that something in the books just does not jive with the reports that he gave them. What about the unidentified entries? Roberto tries to explain them away with people who want to remain anonymous. Problem with that excuse: they have ever received donations at API. Well, these people are making payments in the form of donations. There are fiscal reasons for doing it that way. It does not look like the API guys are buying what he is saying.

Back at the mansion, Beatriz and Sandra are explaining to Alex how Beatriz asked Sandra to find out what she could about Augusto's Icónika branch in the USA. To Alex's surprise, it seems that Beatriz and Sandra have reconciled. The reconciliation was fueled/inspired by Dafne going and apologizing to Sandra eventhough Sandra had started it all. Sandra apologized to Beatriz and could understand if she could not accept her apology but Beatriz did. So, that is why Sandra took the job back at Icónika: to find out about Augusto's dirty business dealings. Beatriz is worried about Augusto snatching the registered trademark of the agency from her. That would be a sin and a crime.

Chuchette does a Payless shoe commercial!!!

Dafne calls Alicia to tell her there is a going away party on for Alex and Kenny.

Alicia invites Elsa over to apologize to Elsa for not being there when they needed her most. Elsa tells her that she does not need to apologize. We all have bad times when the pressure gets to us. Elsa tells her that the love of a family is unconditional, that of everybody else (Braulio) not so much. Alicia tells Elsa that what she always taught her about lying and blackmailing bringing nothing good was the truth and she still is upset about having hurt Braulio. She still has not figured out how to approach him. Elsa has missed talking to the Lichita she knows for a long time. Mother and daughter hug. Elsa calls herself a crybaby.

Roberto tells Augusto about the API problems with the board. Augusto is not happy that he called him about it. He is not there to save his butt. They are his problems now, not Augusto's. Anyway, he will help him with the mess. Augusto has really great news: in a little more than a month he will leave Roberto in peace--as long as he doesn't go on the run with his son but then again where would he be going with Mateo if his wife pregnant is with his other child. The one thing Augusto cannot ever forgive is the abandonment of a child by his parents.

Alicia invites Elsa, Magos and Ximena to stay with her as things get solved with the house. Elsa is shocked to see Nacho there. Alicia reminds them about them having taught her to work things out. She leaves them alone to talk. Neither wants to be the one to start.

Back at the mansion, Alicia arrives for the going away party. Luciana starts to make a big deal about Alicia being there. Luciana complains about how she has treated her. Alicia counters with it has all been what Luciana did to her first. Alicia starts to go into what "bullying" at the workplace has been for her. Beatriz is shocked. The next thing we see is Alicia is in the kitchen arranging the fruit on top of the cake she brought.  Gumaro appears. Alicia sarcastically says she does not know who he is exactly. The brother? The friend? The man who is not a man? He tries to shush her but she is on a roll. No, Alicia is not surprised to see him there since she knows that he works there. Furthermore, he is the lover of Luciana who is married to his accomplice. Just then Luciana comes in the kitchen to see what is going on. Alicia cannot resist. She tells Luciana that Gumaro is the best friend of her husband. Surprise!!!
