Caray, Caray!

Amor de Barrio keeps chugging along at at nice pace. Some plots could do with a little more speed but others show no signs of slowing down. Let's get into it:

Laura is saved from confessing what she tol Ariel by Rosa who got drunk off the flask Monalisa left at the house. (She already has liver problems so I wonder if a transplant is in the near future). Raul offers to put her in a rehab center.

Blanca Estela is having trouble adjusting to life on the outside. A lot of people scare but she's trying to make the best of it.

Delfina confirms with Ariel that Laura caused the stroke and tells Tamara (I don't mind this plan of attack so much because it is actually 100% true).

Laura tells Paloma that Raul is seeing the social differences between them and they might not work out regardless of the sibling thing. (I don't know where Laura gets this from since that has never mattered to Raul. He only didn't want Laura close to Edmundo because has a history of violence). Paloma suggests a blood test which Laura will do once her mom tells her the truth.




Paloma gets Blanca Estela a job in Don Cosme's restaurant albeit with a probation period.

Edmundo overhears Laura tell Rosa that she found her father.

Tamara shows Raul the photo of Ariel and Rosa and confesses that she's his daughter. While Raul is shocked, he doesn't believe Tamara when she says Laura only approached him to get to Ariel for his money. Raul is not biting in the sibling thing without a blood test (thank god!). In a last ditch effort, Tamara tells Raul Laura is in cahoots with Paloma (which makes no sense) so she goes back to Ariel's health and Raul agrees keeping him healthy is a priority.

Everyone in el barrio is very welcoming and courteous to Blanca Estela (glad this one plot line was squashed as quickly as it started with logic).

Raul tells Tamara to take care of everything relating to the blood test and agrees he will stay away from Laura for the time being.

Blanca Estela and Rosa have a few near misses in el barrio even though Blanca Estela has already met and talked to both Laura. More importantly, Blanca Estela starts humming while cooking breakfast and Gabriel seems to recognize the tune.

Laura and Isaac install cameras in La Luciernaga. All the recorded footage can be seen from all electronic devices.

Adalberto looks at a copy of the will and realizes only Daniel can open the hidden clauses.

Gustavo comes back home and runs into Blanca Estela. They immediately recognize each other.

Well that was a speedy and interesting start to the week. Now that Gustavo knows, it's only a matter of time before Paloma and Gabriel know the truth.
