Caray, Caray!

So here we go . . . where one hare brained plan will engender another but the real question is: will Esperanza give Ricardo the ring back so maybe he can sell it and get some of his money back?

Anyway, at the Guerrero house, Pedro tells Kristel he is angry with life. He tells her the truth and she will keep the secret. In the middle of this interaction, Ernesto calls and pressures Pato to talk with him. He tells her what is wrong with her mother. He does know everything.

At Viviana's house, brothers Adrián and Luca are talking about Luca's engagement with Pato. Viviana has to add that Esperanza thinks that Pato is too young. Bummer! They talk about how strange things are with the Guerrero's. According to Viviana, that is how things are one day you are in love, the next day no. Viviana tells Adrián she saw Salma and reminds Adrián that he needs to support Salma's pregnancy sooner or later. She thinks that Salma is planning on giving the baby up for adoption. Adrián wants to take things one step at a time. First, he needs to is go finish his stint at rehab. Viviana is happy to be with her two sons. She loves them. All is well among the three of them.


Pato goes to see Ernesto and wants to know how Ernesto found out about her mother's diagnosis. He won't say. He investigated her mother? Tracy mentioned the stomach pains. He loves her mother. He is so upset. He knows her mother does not want his help. Maybe he can help without her knowing. (Sure) He wants to make it up to her mother.Her mother wants nobody to know. Pato is leaving when he tells her her mother will probably be gone in six months time. She stops and stares at him. Pato begs Ernesto not to tell Ricardo. Ernesto figures out that is why she cancelled their wedding but does not understand Esperanza's reasoning. Pato tells him that Esperanza does not want Ricardo watching her die.

At the Guerrero house Esperanza walks in on Pedro and Kristel and to her surprise Kristel jumps up, gives her a hug and tells her how sorry she is. Esperanza looks questioningly at Pedro who looks away. Pedro ends up telling Esperanza that Pato went to talk to Ernesto and that he knows that she has cancer. If Esperanza could feel worse, she does now. How did he find out???

At Margarita's house, Félix is moving in with one bag and a stuffed animal. Margarita wants to know if that is it. Yup! The most important thing for him is at his side: her! She is impressed. She suggests they head to the bedroom. That is just fine by him. They meet Salma wandering around the house who wants to know what is going on. Margarita refers to Félix as "Dalí" and tells Salma that he is moving in to live with her. Salma is surprised to say the least and even looks a little bit disgusted. She just cannot wrap her head around Margarita and Félix being together.

At Ricardo's house, he is still awake and gets up because if he does not do anything, he is going to go nuts. His kids are still asleep. At the same time, we see the blonde woman in running garb check her cell phone and grab her keys as she leaves to run. We still have not seen her face. Next we see a montage of her face and then we see all of her as she is running in the same park as Ricardo. As Ricardo stops to stretch she runs into him and another runner who slaps her on the butt. She blames Ricardo for slapping her butt and slaps him hard across the face. She proceeds to chew him out in front of everyone for being a jerk, imbecile, caveman, etc. He insists he did not touch her. She wants an apology. It must have been some other guy. Well, where is he? Ricardo tells her to cut the hysterics which just makes her just dial it up one more notch. Ricardo asks if she could please place her bitterness and neuroses somewhere else? She is ready to slap him again when he catches her hand. She thinks he is hateful and ignorant. She tells him to go to hell. They continue to scream back and forth. He refuses to apologize for something he did not do. He never wants to see her again. Well, she does not want to see him either Mr.??? His name is Ricardo. She answers with "Mucho disgusto" (not a pleasure to meet him) and tells him "Hasta nunca." (See him never). He repeats the "Hasta nunca" as she goes running off.

At Margarita's house, Kristel is on the phone catching up with Pedro. She thinks he is great and wants to help him however she can. No, not a word of the truth to Ricardo. She will have to come up with something to tell Margarita. Salma is awakened by a jubilant Félix beating on pots and pans to awaken them. Pedro can hear the banging and Kristel tells him Félix is living there. The next thing you know breakfast is ready. Félix has made some Fench toast (torrejas) Salma calls Félix "abuelastro" for waking her up for breakfast. Félix (dressed in an apron and a knit cap) just loves it! Margarita wants them up early because they are going to see Silvana at the jail. Mario talks about Margarita and Félix and their romance. Margarita says living together is the modern way of doing things.

Pato and Pedro talk about the cancer. He is looking at rattlesnake venom as an alternate treatment. Pato wants to know how he can be like he is. He is hurting just like she is but they have to go on for their mother's sake.

Esperanza is putting on her makeup and is trying to convince herself that she is doing the right thing by not telling Ricardo. Tears.

After his run, Ricardo is at home thinking about the blonde that slapped him and Esperanza telling him she did not love him. It cannot be. Ricardo calls Iker to come over. He is not well. On his way to the shower he looks at his two children sleeping.

Luca comes by the Guerrero house saying they can count on him. Pato fills Esperanza in on that Ernesto knows everything: the diagnosis and that it has to do with the wedding cancellation. He knows she told Ricardo she did not love him and that she only has six months to live. Pato told him that Esperanza did not want Ricardo to suffer over any of this. Esperanza is angry with Pato for saying anything but Pato reminds her that Ernesto already knew everything. Esperanza realizes maybe she is asking them to do the impossible (Duh?) and does or blame her. Tears.

Luca is at the Guerrero's and points out to Pedro that it is a bad plan for Esperanza not to say anything to Ricardo but will go along. Pato explains it all to him. Luca loves Pato and will do whatever she wants. All Pato needs is Luca's love and understanding. He belongs to her.

At Ernesto's place, Tracy is angry that Ernesto is going to see a doctor on a Sunday. He runs into Anastasia on his way out. She has decided to come over and visit him. She stays and eats breakfast with Tracy. The two hyenas form a friendship and alliance at Anastasia's suggestion. Maybe they can help each other to get what they want. Tracy wants to destroy Ricardo. Anastasia wants to break up Luca and Pato for good. They are stronger working together.

Iker comes over and he and Ricardo have a talk. Ricardo tells him he does not know what is going on with Esperanza and is desperate. He is in shock. Iker does not get it either. Ricardo thinks there must be another reason and that it must have to do with Ernesto. Maybe a threat from him. Iker tells him to calm down and Ricardo just gets more upset. He apologizes for his outburst. Iker is there for him. Ricardo says that he and Esperanza have been through so much together that there has to be something else causing her to break up with him.

Visiting time at jail. The whole family (Salma, Kristel, Margarita and Mario) is there to see Silvana who has not lost a beat in being a perfect b****. It is Mario's fault that she ended up having to be a thief. He was not a good enough provider. After suffering her insults, Mario removes himself from the situation. On his way out, she tells him he can always come back for a conjugal visit. Silvana does not want the food they brought her either. She says the only person missing is Félix who testified against her. Margarita wants to know if they can just talk without insults. That does not happen. Silvana blames them all for her being in jail. Salma says that she stole money. Silvana is not going to take that from a 14 year old brat who managed to get herself pregnant. Why did they come? Kristel says to see her. Silvana says yes her hangmen came to visit her. Silvana warns them that when she is out on parole she will take revenge on every single one of them. (Personally, I cannot wait until she finds out her accuser Félix has moved into her mother's bedroom. I was hoping that somebody would have dropped that bit of info.)

Ernesto shows up at the door of the Guerrero house. He loves Esperanza. He wants to support her. She knows he bought all of her medical information. She wants him to go. He pushes his way past Pato into the house. Esperanza wants nothing to do with him. So he threatens a dying woman: If she does not let him help her he will tell Ricardo the whole truth. Esperanza cannot believe he is blackmailing her. The only thing he wants is for him to forgive him and to support her. Ernesto tells Pato that Esperanza will never be able to pay for the care she needs. He has the money and will take care of all the bills. He tells Esperanza that he has changed. He knows all of his faults but he loves Esperanza. He wants to do it for the good of their daughter. She is going to need a lot of support. He is not there for revenge. Why would he want to hurt her? What can he do to get her to accept his help? He has never loved anyone like he has loved her. He is offering unconditional love. He wants nothing in return. He only wants to be with her and help her along with his daughter and Pedro.

It is pizza and salad time at Ricardo's: cheese, Hawaiian, anyone? Selena is worried she will have to live with her mother again. Her mother scares her. Ricardo tells the kids they will be with him. He will get custody. They need not worry.

At Ernesto's Anastasia and a drunk Tracy are still at it plotting intrigue. Tracy tells Anastasia that Esperanza cancelled the wedding and told Ricardo she did not love him. Anastasia wonders, knowing Ernesto as she does, if he might not be behind this all. That thought sobers up Tracy very quickly.

Back at the Guerrero house, the issue is how will they keep Esperanza's illness from Ricardo: BINGO!!! "Mr. idea man" Ernesto's idea is to tell Ricardo that he and Esperanza have decided to give their love another chance. We do NOT see/hear poor tortured Esperanza screaming "no". She looks worried but I did not hear a "NO". Will she actually entertain this most stupid of ideas? Guess we find out tomorrow.
