Tres Veces Ana - Episodes 3 & 4

Hello everyone! While Sneaky two shoes gets a recap ready for us, here is a discussion page on episodes 3 and 4, in which we get a first kiss (!!) and find out that Soledad is darker than we thought and is somehow involved with the whole Santiago/Marcelo story line.

We also find out that Ana Lucia is not your typical TN protagonist and will not be confused by random blabbering. When Soledad spins a made up sad story of a neighbor named Sofia, after calling Ana Lucia the name of her dead daughter, Ana Lucia says it's sad, but she doesn't know how this is related to anything!

Sneaky two Shoes's recap

Events are in more or less chronological order. I wrote it while watching so when I figured things out you get the explanation, sort

Start with the card reading – ‘your life and his are interwoven and when he finds his past you will know who you are’ – The cards have spoken

Abue tells tio about firing the PI and he doubts the missing girl is alive but she is sure.

Turns out Ramiro was besties w/Santiago’s alter ego.

Sole and the card reader Chana argue about all the secrets Sole is keeping. Chana doesn’t look like she believes all Sole has lied about is being a single mother instead of a widow.

Free Spirit daydreams about Santiago till her firmly friendzoned buddy interrupts to tell her he loves her. She tries to talk him out of it and into just being friends but he gets unpleasantly grabby (and freaks me out) and demands to know if there’s someone else. Given her recent daydreams I’m thinking she’s lying when she says there isn’t.

Bad Seed tries to come on to Ramiro (as a reflex?) but he’s not interested, he only wants to talk to Mopey and sees through Bad Seed. He blames her for his friend’s death, and she tries to make him feel bad about driving his ex-fiancee to suicide. We get to see Bad Seed’s memory of the aftermath of Ramiro’s breakup. Turns out she hired Gina to keep Ramiro away from her sister, Gina really did fall in love w/him though and Bad Seed convinced her to fake a suicide attempt to emotionally blackmail him into getting back with her.

Back in the present, Bad Seed gives Ramiro and black tie as a gift but when she asks for her gift he says he got her an excellent bro in law. He’s determined to propose to her sister and her face shows clearly just how not thrilled she is. Also Ramiro is the new detective on the find her missing sis case and that doesn’t help her mood any. She fakes nice while trying to dissuade him, but he will not be dissuaded.

Mopey actually smiles! ( if she keeps this up I may need a new name for her) She has friends at some sort of therapy/recovery center and hangs out w/various handi-capable youths, helping out. (guess they didn’t want us thinking all she did was cry) She just loves working at the foundation and is a real do-gooder and they love and appreciate her. She remembers the accident (and that Bad Seed caused it so why is she so nice to her?) and starts crying again, oh dear.

Santiago catches up to Free Spirit and tries his I dreamed of you line on her again. She pretends not to care about that or that he’s leaving tomorrow, but can’t stop smiling. He can’t understand how she can pretend not to know him or care when she looks at him like she really wants him to kiss her, and he does! She’s getting into it and her unrequited love friend sees them. (uh oh) Finally she breaks away and picks up her bruised shopping to leave but Santiago is still convinced she’s lying about knowing him and feeling nothing for him and he’s gonna kiss her into submission. When he tries she gives him the slap she warned him to expect, reminds him he’s married and says despite all the feelings he makes her feel and the shaking up he’s doing to her world she won’t waste her time on him. She leaves her wallet behind though and she does have documents and he now knows her name and address.

Meet cute between Bad Seed and Pedro Moreno – she steals his umbrella on her way to visit tio making him get all wet just before an important meeting. Tio meanwhile is making lame excuses to girlfriend Jenny about having too much work to spend time w/her. Bad seed wants a job in his office – she’s bored and lonely, poor her. (well, that’s an excellent reason to give someone a job) She gets what she wants por supuesto.

(oh hey the entrada has the character names, I should pay attention!)

Ramiro and dad argue again this time over Ramiro’s upcoming investigation, ‘cause dad thinks that girl is surely dead.

Bad Seed and tio discuss the investigation too. Bad Seed claims Marcelo lied to Abue about finding info on her sis to keep Abue from falling deeper into depression, she says she was there and he made it all up.

Hey! Here’s Pedro Moreno again(I like him) his character is Inaki. Turns out his important meeting was w/ tio. Inaki tries to have a job interview while Bad Seed loudly plays with the pens on tio’s desk.

Free Spirit and a bunch of other silk dancers/acrobats rehearse. Her two friends are acrobats too!

Apparently she’s awesome and girl friend is distracted, and they got a big job/gig coming up yay.

Bad Seed is totes into the whole playboy thing her tio has going on, but then he tells her he’s thinking of actually settling down w/Jenny and proposing at a romantic dinner tonight and she has to pretend to be happy for him

Santiago goes to Free Spirit’s house to return her wallet and Sole remembers the last time he was there he threatened her with jail time. He notices her shock and asks if she recognizes him. She lies of course and tries to get rid of him quick, she about breaks down when he says he’s there to see AL. She’s really surprised he’s calling himself Santiago. He notices her squirrelly behavior and asks about it, she’s just trying to get rid of him but he wants to wait for Free Spirit to come home. He tells his story and asks why Sole was so surprised to see him. She lies and denies and tells him to leave; her house, the town, and her daughter alone. He does but warns her he’ll find out everything they’re hiding.

Free Spirit wants to celebrate the news about their big gig w/her two best buds but they beg off, Orlando is doing some heavy moping and her girl friend can’t cheer him up

Tio’s dinner w/Jenny is ruined by the arrival of his other lover.

Ramiro holds Mopey’s hand and looks deeply into her eyes and professes his love, again. He wants her to say she loves him too, but she tries to claim it’s a sisterly love. He doesn’t believe her, he’s patient though and can wait till she’s ready to tell him too.

Sole gives Free Spirit her wallet back and tells her about Santiago returning it, then asks if the memory loss story is real. Telling Sole his story reminds Free Spirit of her flashback and she asks her mom if she ever almost drowned when she was little. Scared look from Sole.

Ramiro remembers telling Marcelo his suspicions that his ex-fiancee was murdered. Marcelo gives him a satchel to keep safe. Back in the present Ramiro opens the satchel and finds a map of Santa Cecilia and a name Sofia Hernandez

Sole tells Free Spirit you fell in the river when you were about four and it was waay scary she looks so scared about it still that Free spirit tells her about her upcoming show in Santa Cecilia to cheer her up. It doesn’t work though, Sole flashes back to her first daughter’s funeral and tells the new daughter she can’t go there and calls her Sofia. Free Spirit has never heard the name before and asks about her, but all Sole will say is Sofia was a sweet girl, a neighbor’s daughter in Santa Cecilia who died of gas poisoning while her mom was at work. Free Spirit doesn’t see what that has to do w/her and why it should stop her going. Sole gives her the ‘cause I said so and goes off to cry in bed.

Free Spirit won’t let it go though and tries later to talk her into letting her go to no avail.

That night Sole’s conscience won’t let her sleep and she remembers Marcelo saying she kidnapped AL

Mopey confides to her friend at the foundation about Ramiro’s love and her love for him and friend tells her to seize the day and forget about her handicap.

Ramiro and dad discuss the investigation calmly.

Tio tells Bad Seed about the dinner disaster and get acts sympathetic and throws suspicion on his secretary who is supposedly in love w/him. On her way out she blows past friendly Inaki.

Ramiro tracks Mopey down at the foundation to say goodbye, he’s investigating just for her, and she gets nervous and smiley.

Later Ramiro stops along the road to fill up his gas tank and if he’d just turn around he’d see his dead friend Marcelo getting on a bus, but he doesn’t of course.

Dinner time – Bad Seed shares her job news and manages to insult Mopey who is gracious about it and doesn’t cry at all.

Free Spirit finds a note from Santiago in her wallet saying he’ll be back nxt wkend and to dream of him like he will be of her and gets happy chills

Meanwhile Santiago worries to madrina that he really does have a wife out there somewhere and maybe even kids, but she asks why wouldn’t they look for you? – maybe they didn’t want me back, who knows what kind of person I was before, but she says goodness isn’t in the memories, its in yr soul and I know yr a good man.

Bad Seed gets a scolding from Abue and has to bring up some crocodile tears – poor me I was neglected while my sis was losing her leg.

Later Bad Seed (What the HELL is she wearing?!? Is that a shirt? Overalls?w/cutouts?? Sorry, got distracted) meets w/ Jenny and she pretends to be a good friend.

Tio questions his secretary, did she tell anyone about his date yesterday? Of course not.

Ramiro walks around showing extras pictures of AL and asking questions

Mopey and Abue share their belief the third sis is alive.

Free Spirit daydreams about Santiago.

Ramiro remembers getting the bad news about his fiancée being a con from Marcelo and her grandad.

Bad Seed and her weird overalls meet w/tio’s other squeeze and discuss ruining his dinner w/Jenny

Guy friend chews out Free Spirit for kissing Santiago, just after she told him there was nobody she loved. (dude its none of yr business, she’s not into you that way, move on, it doesn’t matter who she kisses, its not going to be you) They shut Maribel out of the loop so Free Spirit can tell Orlando Santiago’s life history and he can try to convince her not to trust Santiago.

Santiago drives cab and moons over Free Spirit.

Tio begs Jenny for another chance.

Inaki buys clothes instead of paying his rent and has a roomie who stands on his head.

Orlando tries to get on Sole’s good side so he can convince her to let her adult daughter go on their out of town trip. Also promises to keep Santiago away from her daughter.

Ok so Santiago’s madrina has a circus renting from her and it just happens that Inaki is the son of the head carny. Papa is proud of Inaki for graduating and making good and assures everyone he’ll pay back the money he borrowed. Santiago confides in Inaki about meeting the woman of his dreams

Bad Seed comes home from her date still wearing that thing, and is told tio and Jenny are back together. Whoopee.

Ramiro calls for Mopey and Bad Seed answers the phone and tries to pump him for info on what he’s found but he won’t tell her anything and he’ll call back for Mopey tomorrow.

End

What did everyone think? I for one am finding it hard to feel bad for Soledad. She experienced a terrible tragedy, but she is a scary sort of character that you expect anything out of, if she feels like the truth might come to light.

Pedro Moreno's character Inaki looks like it will be a fun one! He is holding his own with Ana Leticia.

And lastly, we had a whole discussion going on actors suited to a positive or negative character by their looks. So I agree about Zepeda, loved him in Sortilegio, but he is only an ok positive character/protagonist for me. I would much rather see him as an antagonist. But aside from DZ - Soledad could have elicited much more compassion, but Blanca Guerra has just such a strong and powerful presence, you can't feel too sorry for her. Inaki's father is played by an actor, who I remember as an antagonist in many novelas. And the guy he was talking to in that scene was Malvino from Porque El Amor Manda if anyone watched or remembers.

So are Santiago, Inaki and Other Guy all roommates at Remedios' house?

Dang, Gina's grampa was like "She's a terrible person. And I should know, I'm her grampa."

Either Gina spinster dead or Ana Leticia gave Gina some pills that were more lethal than Gina thought they would be. Ana Leticia's body count is rising! And her scheming with Claudi didn't work...this time!

Orlando sucks. Ana Lucia is NOT your girlfriend so you have no right to get mad at her for kissing/associating etc with anyone else.

Was why Ramiro showing the tablet of the triplets to children? How in the world would THEY know?

Anon 207, yes - seems like Remedios runs a hostel and they might all living there? I confess I was only half listening at various points tonight, but strange arrangement if so.

Also, you reminded me about the funny moment of Ramiro and his tablet. Just picture this: a strange man is sitting down next to a bunch of kids to show them something on his tablet. Sounds not abnormal in any way, does it? But yes, also - how would they know the triplets from 20 years ago indeed?

There were a few pics on the tablet- the triplets as girls, Ana Laura and Ana Leticia as grown women, and Marcelo/Santiago. I suppose he was telling everyone the whole story to see if it would jog the memory of someone or ring a bell.

Gracias Ria and Sneaky Two Shoes!

Still watching the first part but I did caught that hot kiss between Santi and A Lucia . What a way to get slapped by the same woman doing the same things Rulli :)

I am so glad that Ramiro is looking in to the case but he shouldn't have told A Leticia.

Speaking of silly names, Norman Bates was named after his mother dearest Norma Bates LOL

Thanks for posting Ria. Also congratulations on your frecap yesterday. I cant believe it was your first.

It sure does look like the recapping and commentors are going to be strong. Still looking forward to hearing from our Gringo and Carlos.

The chemistry with that kiss between AB and Rulli
was hot!!! Unlike alot of real life couples that don't fixzle, these two are passionate. I love them off screen and on screen. AB should get paid 3 times as much, she sure is working hard and hope it doesn't stress her out. Of course, she has Rulli to rub her feet and make her feel better. I know I would feel like walking on air to have Rulli at my side.

I was glad to see A Laura spending time at rehab center.

Thanks everyone,
Leticia

On DZ, I'm okay with him in this nice guy role. I liked him as a bad guy (Sortilegio) and as an annoying galan (Mentir para vivir), but he's not "too nice" here. Dumping his phony fiancé right before the wedding and adding he was in love with someone else anyway, loved it. His scenes with Ana Laura are sweet, but not too sugary. I'm giving DZ thumbs-up.

Soledad is simply selfish. Whatever she's been through, a loving mother would want her daughter to connect with her sisters.

I agree that Soledad is too selfish. A Lucia loves her and would gladly take Soledad alongside as family. Remedios sounds more acceptable and is less opressive . No matter what Soledad suffered she cannot do A Lucia the same, leaving her in loneliness.

Orlando is looking creepier and creepier. I wouldn't like someone like him as company. That talk with A Lucia resembled an interogation. I mean someone questioning my actions , judging me constantly? LOL screw you! He is more creepier than Evaristo ack.

Speaking of Evie he has the same repetetive surname as usual, Guerra. As if they cannot make up a more menacing surname or something kinder. Ramiro is unlucky to have him as Suegro. By the way it seems Gina faked her own death. They wouldn't be dragging the subject for anything else than to set up Gina's return.

Inaki looks nice but he will surely be a playboy. He definetly won't be paying back the family debt !

Ramiro isn't a very good investigator. He should have investigated alone period . Now everyone knows what's going on, even A Leticia.
Ramiro should watch El Hotel first before commiting to any serious investigation.

Thanks for starting this Ria.

With limited Spanish comprehension and trying to watch a total of 4 hours of tns this week (possible only as I am on vacation this week), is making my head spin.

Soledad is doing the wrong thing but is obviously suffering from the loss of her daughter and afraid she will lose her "other" one here. I totally agree with you Ria that the actress is strong and commanding. I feel for her, but I do not pity her.

Agree that Boyer and Rulli's chemistry is combustible Leticia. How is she doing it? She is in almost every scene!

"Was why Ramiro showing the tablet of the triplets to children? How in the world would THEY know?" thank you for asking the question Anon 207. I suspect Vivi's answer was the perfect one, he was simply hoping to jog someone's memory.

Looks like Rulli's reincarnation after the accident was the polar opposite of his previous character.

Hi Niecie. After last night, I agree. Zepata is nailing it here...I wasn't a fan of Julian Gil but he is fabulous in Sueno. I'm convinced it is the part many times, not the actor.

Waiting for the recap with great anticipation.

Roberto Ballesteros is likely to be a sleazebag, as usual. Another rat-tail on the hair!

Soledad may be afraid of the law over Ana Lucia, but I doubt that Abuela would file charges against her. She lost her only daughter, too, and would probably be grateful that Soledad raised Ana Lucia the way she did. Ana Lucia is the most psychologically healthy of the three.

Marcello/Santiago's amnesia obviously has a purpose.

When Soledad told A Lucia she is not allowed to go to Sta Cecelia I did a WTF; she's 24 years old! Of course, this satisfies another cliche.

I will start the Karmageddon database right away, along with the cliche scorecard. The latter will be published in Monday discussions. I added a few items to the Count's list and we've already gotten half of them.

BTW, this series will probably provide lots of Fashion Felonies with which to charge Ana Leticia. Haven't seen any yet in Yago, but I hope there will be some when that comes back next week.

Ana Lucia is committing a LOT of fashion crimes, but that look could be called boho and is acceptable as such. Ana Leticia is hit or miss. She rocked that red dress, but that black overalls outfit was a fashion miss (for anyone over 17).

Diana- I don't know if Santi was a different person than Marcelo-- like bad versus good. Marcelo was obviously a good guy, but driven and with a purpose. Santi is more adrift and chill. Marcelo, an investigator, had every right to threaten Soledad with jail as we saw in the flashback. What she did was kidnapping, plain and simple. And then she was obviously refusing to allow him to see/speak to Ana Lucia. Lucky for her, he had that accident, and it bought her another three years without being found out. But it's time to pay the piper. Ana Lucia is a grown woman and deserves to know the truth and to meet/be part of her family.

I like Ana Laura's clean, business casual look-- the blazer, fitted top, and long flowing skirt with boots.

Vivi - good point/call on pictures to see if someone would recognize any of the missing persons

Niecie in MD - I agree, Ramiro's dumping of the fiance is taking him a bit away from pure positivie character and making him fit in better

CountxAlacran - I think Orlando will turn out to be our garden variety stalker as the series goes on. You made me laugh with your comment on Ramiro's investigative skills. He is not a very good one indeed. And did I hear right that Ana L was saying he was a CPA?

I am laughing and agreeing reading about all the fashion felonies! This is entertaining to watch even for the outfits!

Yes, Ramiro is a CPA, like his father-- not an investigator. But as he said to everyone who scoffed, he's doing this for Ana Laura. Plus, as only he and his father know, he has those clues in the backpack Marcelo left in his care.

Not sure why folks think he should have not told anyone in the family he's investigating. He wants to give Ernestina and Ana Laura hope, and he doesn't know Ana Leticia is murderously evil. He knows she's a skank who hit on him while she was married to his BFF, but he thinks she wants her sister back, just like everyone else.

Well Marcelo died while investogating the case. He probably talked almost everyone about the investigation which got him killed. I don't see how Ramiro will do by making the same mistake.

Vivi, I too think he is doing the right thing with the information he has in telling the family to try and give them hope, even Ana Leticia! Looks like he is going to pay for it though in the next episode :(

Oh and yes, Ana Leticia making a pass at him was an interesting detail, as well as her involvement in fiance's suicide/disappearance. A come back is really beginning to look likely, isn't it??

Countx- WE in the audience know that the enemy is within (Ana Leticia), and that Marcelo's "accident" wasn't an accident. But no one else knows that. It makes no sense why Ramiro would keep it a secret that he's investigating.

That Maribel character is starting to annoy me. What is her problem? It is not Ana Lucia's fault that Orlando likes her...she really needs to take a chill pill

Anon 11:49- Yep. Most annoying story line, ever! Don't even get me started.

Definitely looking forward to the recap. Trying to catch up being I misses almost all the first two hours.

But it didn't take me long to not get the warm and fuzzies with Soledad. She may be playing the marytr and the writers are probably wanting to pull on our heart strings as if we should understand she loved AnaLu. But I don't buy it, she took that girl from a family that may have been looking for her and kept the truth from her. Not a fan.

Though we aren't actually supposed to like AnaLe, she's sort of the hoot right now to watch. Little too smarmy with her dear uncle, but Bowyer knows how to play that vixen (aka Teresa with being an added murderer).

Hate though we are back to a TN with way too many weepy at the drop of a hat moments for me. Have to get back to that place where it doesn't annoy me.

I so agree with Anon and Vivi. The truest latest friendsips betwen women were MD& Doris from Yo No Creo and our favorite med school goon squad Isabel & Matilde from El Hotel.

What mut also be tripping off the hinky meter about Soledad is the actress. Blanca Guerra typically plays villains.

It makes no sense to me that she would knowingly keep Ana Lucia if she knew that she is not only an identical triplet but comes from a rich family. She's not exactly rolling in money herself and Ernestina would have rewarded her unless.... the girls' father or uncle was the man who knocked her up and ditched her.

Urban- I think it's clear that it was all emotional with Soledad (she wasn't thinking about money or about anyone else, like the child's real family). She had JUST lost her daughter, and then Ana Lucia appeared in her life. It must have seemed to her a gift from God at that moment. This isn't rational-- it's emotional.

Not sure about that, Vivi. I've seen this actress several times already as a toxic mother. If the uncle or the girls' father is the one to have knocked her up and abandoned her I could see her keeping Ana Lucia as payback.

Recap coming - just give me time to type :)
Ok so, I’m not great with names and with all three girls being named Ana L-something I just know I’m going to get confused and mix up the names in the recaps and that will be confusing for you all so I’m going to give them nicknames: Bad Seed, Mopey, and Free Spirit – we’ll see how that works. Also I might not call characters by their name till I learn them all

Ana Leticia = Bad Seed
Ana Laura = Mopey
Ana Lucia = Free Spirit

I don't think Soledad kept Ana Lucia out of payback, Sofia died and Ana Lucia appeared and she kept her. They had to pretty much tear her off of Sofia's casket.

Soledad doesn't want to lose another child and she knows she could be hauled off to prison for keeping Ana Lucia away. She also knows Ana Lucia's family was still looking for her 17 years after her disappearance.

Soledad isn't evil but she will be doing her best to prevent Ana Lucia from being found or finding out the truth about her origins. That's why she told Chana to lie about Ana Lucia's dreams and will be teaming up with Orlando to keep Ana Lucia & Santiago apart.

I doubt seriously Soledad kept Ana Lucia as payback.

Anon207- My thoughts exactly. We even saw her pray to God this episode to please not take another daughter from her. It's selfish, but it's not evil.

I might have missed this, but how is Ernestina related to the triplets? Is she the grandmother? I thought I heard one of the triplets call her abuela.

Did A Lucia even go to school during all these years? She was most likely homeschooled but not sure how the laws are strict about that . It's still keeping A Lucia from receiving formal socialization . But we saw that A Lucia has her ID card which I find strange. Missing persons have priority in police databases . Besides every citizen of US has a social security number or National ID. Any cold SSN would be suspicious.

Implying of course that A Lucia has two SSN's. To get one they would have to take fingerprints off the child but they didn't so A Lucia couldnt have been cross referenced.

GoBlueFan- Ernestina is the mother of the triplets’ mother. Mariano is the bother of their father.

Count- I think we have to put on our beanies to believe Soledad wouldn’t have ripped off Ana Lucia’s name bracelet and just given her a new first name. But considering she has Soledad’s last name, no, her name would not ring any alarm bells in any systems when she got her i.d. The question is, did Soledad get a fake birth certificate made up so that Ana Lucia could get registered in school and do all the usual bureaucratic stuff throughout her life? This is what I’m assuming she must have done.

In Mexico, Social Security Numbers are not issued until you start working. Four year old Ana Lucia would not have had that, nor the other most popular ID, the voting registration card. All a child that age would have had is a birth certificate, and Soledad must have gotten her a fake one.

Inaki buys clothes instead of paying his rent and has a roomie who stands on his head.

part 4 (last part)

End
(that seems like a weird place to end, did I miss something significant?)

Jeez Louise I need to learn how to condense, or edit or something

Sneaky2Shoes- Four comments for 2 hours. That's pretty good! Thanks for the great recap.

Guy standing on head was Inaki's little brother-- part of the family of acrobats that Inaki chose not to join, although his father and the other guy he was speaking to said he had the talent for it. I somehow think Inaki won't be paying them back the money he took to look impressive in his new job with Tio Mariano. *tsk, tsk*

Ana Leticia overestimated Jenny's sense of pride and dignity, and underestimated Mariano's wooing abilities. Who takes a man back who left you at a hotel to have a booty call at his house (the one he kept you out of), just the night before he was set to propose to you? Jenny, you shouldn't be surprised by anything that man does during your marriage!

I agree w Diana and others who share the same thought that Soledad is suffering the lost of her daughter and does want to lose her other daughter. Selfish but she does love A Lucia and has raised her to be happy and confident uoung woman.

At first it seems like A Letie was responsible for Santi's death before he took the goodnews to The grandmother. Then I realized that Soledad also had a motive to keep him quite. He threatened her with jail time and taking her daughter away. Though not evil person, she was very distraught and acted like she saw a ghost when he appeared looking for Lucia.

I am liking DZ and Leisha W in this tn, although I was not huge fan before.

I also wonder if Eric D Castllo is really Suicide girl gramps? Or if A Leticia paid him? As you can see I have very open mind/imagination.

I think Ernestina is very attractive, she has a certain "look."

Later,
Leticia

Now that I've read the discussion.
My take on Soledad is when she found AL she probably didn't know who she was except for the name bracelet, and that only has her first name. They've never told us she knew about the accident(as far as I can remember)so I'm gonna assume she didn't know AL had sisters or a family and just never looked or checked b/c she didn't want to give her up. When Marcelo found her and told her AL had a family he was also threatening her with jail so she had a pretty good reason not to want her found then, but there's been no indication that Soledad was involved in trying to kill Marcelo or do anything else illegal to keep from losing AL so I don't think she's malicious, just sad.

Speaking of Marcelo, It wasn't hard for him to find AL in the first place. The island is near the accident . Marcelo must have saw AL at some point for him to make 2+2 . The dreams he has might not be a calling to his estranged wife but from a previous encounter with AL before the accident.

Countx- Since Ana Lucia never saw Santi before, I doubt she's the woman he was in love with and dreamt about kissing. That would be the woman he was in love with and married to, right up till he went to investigate.

I doubt that Soledad didn't get wind of the search for the little girl after the accident, but even if she didn't, she knows she should have taken the child to the authorities. And she sure as heck got that child out of her old town, and into a new one where no one knew her (Soledad), quickly. It's kidnapping. Not malicious. Fueled by grief. But still, kidnapping.

Thank you, Sneaky! Good call on the nicknames. I do know which name goes with which woman now, but I still have to think about it, and that just slows things down. The nicknames are much easier to deal with.

Yes, it's virtually impossible to condense or edit if you are taking notes while you watch. If I stop the recording to write each thing down, it takes HOURS. But if I let the show keep rolling, I can type like mad and still keep up. My resulting notes are incomprehensible to anyone except me, though, (definitely unpublishable) so I have to read it over afterwards and "edit" (basically rewrite it) to make it coherent. That doesn't take very long, though, because at that point I've seen the whole episode and have a better idea of what can be combined or left out. So that's how I usually do it now.

I didn't see any of this episode, and now I'm regretting that I missed out on Bad Seed's bad outfit.

I don't know what to think of Soledad. Even if her chief motivation is fear of losing her second daughter, there could still be an element of spite too, if she's had prior dealings with Free Spirit's family. But we don't have any evidence of that yet, do we?

Regarding the names Ana Ana Ana, when I was a kid there was a Mary Frances in my class. She had six sisters, named Mary Ann, Mary Jane, Mary Catherine, etc. I guess it is sort of cute and it might be a nice way to honor a favorite family member or saint, but people mixed up the various Marys and their names all the time. (Like it isn't confusing enough to keep track of seven sisters, they all had similar names too.) I've wondered if that didn't affect their self-esteem a little bit, always having to assert their identities for fear of being thought of as interchangeable.

Vivi - Or Marcelo somehow dig out Soledad before going out to the puebla. Question is how he came across Sofia. I wonder how Soledad faked the faked birth certificate,

Recapping while watching is very difficult. While recapping I watch the episodes twice. First for enjoyment and later once again for a deeper look. I am capable of summarizing quickly if I watch the show without pressure. Most of the time I rarely need to take a second look unless the dialougue was annoying.

Thanks for the awesome recap, sneaky two shoes. When I get home tonight I will post in the main body of the post, or if someone else is able to do so before then, would appreciate it too!

Thanks for clarifying in the recap on how Santiago/Inaki and the circus are connected. I totally missed that they all lived in Remedios' hostel.

Thank you sneaky. I missed last night except the last 15 minutes and with your help not necessary for me to watch.

One point of clarification: Ramiro didn't blame Ana Leticia for Marcelo's death. He threw in her face that she tried to kiss him while she was married to his BFF Marcelo, and said that she must feel pretty guilty about that. That's when she threw back in his face that he must feel pretty guilty about causing Gina's suicide. (Then, of course we saw in flashback that she was behind both hiring Gina to enter Ramiro's life, and behind her death/disappearance.)

Marcelo was in love with Ana LETICIA. He suffered the accident & the amnesia but the only thing he can remember is that he was in love with a woman with Ana LETICIA's face.

Now Santiago, he thinks he's in love with Ana LUCIA because she has Ana LETICIA's face. SANTIAGO does not know there are 3 of them.

Because he's still in love with Ana Leticia's face, I'm thinking MARCELO had no idea how treacherous Ana Leticia is in reality.

Ana Leticia's Body Count (people she has killed or attempted to kill):

Mom
Dad
Gina
Marcelo

Sneaky two shoes, thanks. Fine recapping. Fave line: her firmly friendzoned buddy Yep, he's got some nerve grilling Ana Lucia about her business.

Ana Leticia looked great in that black jumper cut-out thingie. So inappropriate though.

I hope there's a hair makeover in Ana Laura's future. Strange, she probably spends less time on her look that the other two, but she still takes the time to straighten her natural waves. :D

Inaki and his sidekick (brother) were a hoot.

oops -- "on her look than the other two"

Ria- Since you created the post, only you or Blog Mom/Admin Jane can go in and modify the post. No worries about moving up the recap to the main body until you're able.

Sneaky, thank you for the recap. It was very enjoyable to read.

I am with you all with Orlando always giving Ana Lucía the third degree. None of his business. I don't like him being her anchor and basically holding her so she does not hit the ground in their acrobatic act.

So, Ana Leticia's plan to break up uncle Mariano and Jennifer did not work as planned. Loved it.

I am enjoying David Zepeda in this one. As a matter of fact, I am happy with all of the casting so far.

Double episodes all week sounds like fun at first but their is a lot of info to absorb, so an extra thank you to the recappers who are truly doing double duty so we can sit here and pick it all apart.

Question about recapping these shows: I have never done it. It is too difficult for me, especially since I don't read or speak Spanish and have to rely on the English captions. However, some of the recappers say that they take copious written notes while viewing the shows.

Would it be easier or more efficient to record verbal notes on a cellphone or tape recorder? This is much faster than writing things down on paper.

Then after the show has ended, you could just listen to the taped notes and transcribe them into written form.

I don't know if this method would work, but it might help.

Thanks guys for the appreciation and tips, I don't have a laptop so I'm writing in longhand while I watch and then I type and (hopefully) edit the next day. I don't usually have a chance to go back and make sure I got everything, especially w/2hr epis

Vivi - thanks so much for the correction re- Ramiro and Bad Seed I totally missed that she kissed him while married to his best friend and I guess I just assumed it was about Marcelo's death based on what I did hear. ('k brain)

And, if anybody else catches something I missed or got wrong please do let me know.

Thank you, Sneaky2shoes. That was a huge job to recap twohours of that.

Hi Goblue. I tried that once. I was sure it would be the answer, but my experiment lasted less than three minutes. Turns out I can't talk and listen/read at the same time! And if I have to stop the show every time I want to speak, then I might as well type what I want to say, to save the extra step of having to listen to my voice and type from that, later.

I also tried taking longhand notes, and then reading my notes aloud to some speech-to-text software, figuring that the software could type faster than I could. Or, I would try dictating the whole recap! But the software gets a lot of things wrong, especially people's names, Spanish words, puns, slang, and all that other stuff we put in our recaps. I spent more time "fixing" errors than if I had just typed everything from scratch. (That was years ago. The software is probably better now.)

By far, the most efficient way to do it is to watch the show with both eyes and both ears ("without pressure," as Countx says), and take only the most minimal notes as you go, maybe during commercial breaks. (Like "Free Spirit/Soledad did I drown" or "Leticia Laura gift bitch") When you read the notes later, they will jog your memory and you can flesh things out as you see fit. That is how our Blogmom Jane said to do it, years ago.

I am still learning to trust my memory so that I don't have to write everything down right away. That was a real problem with Hotel, which was totally made out of little details.

Recapper Madelaine was amazing. She could watch a show, take no notes at all, and write a perfectly thorough recap from memory.

But seriously, I hope Bad Seed is still wearing that outfit tonight. I'll feel deprived if I don't get to see it!

I knew someone married to a Bill who named their first son Bill and their daughters BIlly Jean, BILLY Pat, and Billy Jo.

Thanks sneaky2shoes for the wonderful and thorough recap!!

Is Leti so evil that no ne else can be happy? Keeping her disabled sister from marryimg? Does she know Lucia is still alive and wants her to stay hidden? Did she kill Marcelo to keep the secret? Did she steal Ginas money while the girl tried to overdose but really Leti wanted her dead?

I hope Leti has some anvils soon because I can't take 165 episodes without some now and then!

A note about George Foreman: in addition to naming his six sons George, his daughter is also named Freda George.

Yes, I think Leticia is that evil. She wants what she wants and isn't afraid to snatch it. Hence, dead parents.

Laura may be extra nice to Leticia because she knows Leticia caused the accident and doesn't want Leticia doing something to her, too.

Definitely think Leti is a sociopath.

Sneaky two shoes's recap is in the main body of the post! Right in time for the next episode :)

Thanks, Ria! Can you put a page break in so that this doesn't take up too much space on the main page.

Done! Thanks for catching this, Vivi!

Go Blue - if you do decide you'd like to give recapping a try, even if once every X weeks, we can certainly use more recappers! And there seems to plenty of posters on here to help you out with comments, so please write back and let us know!

Is it just me...or does Rulli have the same facial structure as Arnold Swartzeneger. I'm not saying they look alike....because I think Rulli is gorgeous...but every time I see him I think of Arnold.

Sneaky Two Shoes, thank you for the marvelous recap.

Just read this so I apologize for being so late.

You have a wonderful sense of humor, evident throughout.

Look forward to reading more of your work.
