Tres Veces Ana #23: OVER THE MOON BY THE LAGOON

Who’ll be the first over the moon?  Let us see…..

Ana Laura says “Sí” but balks at being bedded before being wedded.  Her leg of lead stops them dead.  They head home instead, while most of the family are filled with dread that down the wrong road Ramiro has A Lloro led.

Meanwhile, Ana Lucia and Santiago drive back to the place where it all began for them.  They promise each other they’ll never love another.  A mistaken Evaristo tells Mama Solidad that they’re more than likely saying their good-byes cuz he’s on his way to somewhere that ensures they’ll never see hide nor hair of each other again.

However, the two of them are pledging their eternal love to each other on the shore of a small lagoon and sealing it with quite a bit more than just a sloppy kiss.  (Condoms or birth control pills, may have been missed from the list. Viewerville is taking bets that it’s not long till A Lucky’s choosing baby names and Sole is pissed! )

Back in Uptown, El Tío Mariano has police over to captcha Ram.  He’s ready for a bit of fisty cuffs when Ram and Ana-Lloro finally arrive a casa.  The useless po-po go.

We’re back to love by the lagoon.  The two are doing the deed indeed.  (I say, ok.  But enough with the fruity rust-colored, wife beater color-coordinated tee shirt SanMarco’s been wearing under his blue plaid button down shirt.  What red-blooded macho-man wears coordinated tanks like this?  Who dresses these male leads like this?  Definitely it’s somebody light in his Ferragamos…..—And one more thing.  These two actors are lovers in real life and have a kid together.  I feel ever time I see a bed scene with these two I am a peeping Tomasa…..)

Across town, Ana Leticia and Ernestina worry what’s happening outside in the front drive.  Certainly Mo is putting Ram in his place.  Suddenly A-Leticia is hit with hot-flashes and heads upstairs for a bubble bath and lusty thoughts about dead Marcello.

Ram stops Mo in his tracks by mentioning matrimony is in the works.  Over Mo’s dead body!  However, Leonor is over the moon herself to hear it.  A-Lo tries standing up for herself and Viewerville cheers.  Mo accuses her of buying his love.  Ram denies it.  A-Lo goes inside and Mo tries buying off Ramiro.  I doesn’t work.

Inside, Ana Leticia, aka Ana MíMí, races upstairs to get her digs in under the guise of caring sisterhood.  She eavesdrops on A-Lo telling Leo how it felt kissing Ram, and that she knew he felt it too, and he’s the love of her life and that she followed her advice to listen to his side of things.  Also, tho’ the things he said frightened and shocked and disturbed her about her sister, A MiMi.  He swore she plotted and planned it all to drive the two of them apart.  Suddenly in bursts A MiMi before Leo can opine and puts the servant in her humble place, eating as well as baking the humble pie.  Once she’s shooed away, A MiMi twists and turns the truth again and makes A-Lo doubt herself once more.  “—You’re problem is you’re so gullible!”  A-Lo determines she’ll never trust men again.  She drops the engagement ring into the trash: thus master manipuladora and mastered martyr.

Outside, Ernestina comes to chase Ramiro off and tell him a thing or two beforehand.  Ram stops her cold with possible news about what Marc learned about her missing granddaughter before dying.  Erni wants to hear it but Mo bullies her out of it and Ram leaves.

Once Ram’s gone, Mo persuades Erni she’s barking up the wrong tree since A-MiMi herself told him Marcelo knew nothing when he died.  She avoided telling Ern that because of her ill-health.

Soledad is up at all hours worrying about her daughter’s whereabouts.  Remedios tells her her worries are unfounded [sin pila].

The next morning A-Lucky and SanMarco celebrate the night before by swimming in the lagoon in their skivvies.

At the same time, Orlando is once more bugging Chana for Sole and A-Lucky’s whereabouts.  The woman kidnapped her daughter and has now absconded with her.  The police are searching.  Rubbish, says Chana.  Nobody knows a thing unless you opened your big mouth to somebody.  Orly swears he didn’t.

A-Lucky and SanMarco call Soledad from San Nicolas and tell Sole that she’s fine.

Ram goes to the apartment to meet up with Iñaki but finds A-MiMi there instead in her vamping finest. She razzes him and shows him his engagement ring is now on her finger instead.  Yep, she picked it out of the trash where A-Lo pitched it.  She sniggers at him. “—Really, couldn’t you have managed anything nicer than this?”  Ramiro stares at her but holds back from mouthing off—just yet.

Thanks, Jardinera! This was awesome and I loved the rhyming. You have quite a talent and I think they should contract you to write a script for TVA, it would definitely spice up the show.

This line made me laugh, as I was thinking exactly the same (minus the wonderful rhyming that makes it a lot better!): "(Condoms or birth control pills, may have been missed from the list. Viewerville is taking bets that it’s not long till A Lucky’s choosing baby names and Sole is pissed! )"

I also agree on the weirdness factor knowing that the actors are partners in real life. Do they have a kid already? I need to catch up on news!!

I gotta say Llora exceeds the expectations this time. I was expecting her to last at least through the whole episode before believing Ana Le again. Ramiro should consider dumping her just based on the fact that he'll spend his entire life proving to her that sky is blue.

Also - Ana Lu. Did anybody else think it's ridiculous she left town, spent the night elsewhere and only deigned to call home in the morning?? Even not liking Sole much, this is thoughtless behavior.

Ria: Tks! And "spent the night elsewhere and only deigned to call home in the morning?" Yeah, it's totally out of character for her.

Well, considering her mama threw her cell phone in the garbage, I don't feel too bad for Ana Lu not calling mama.

Thanks, Jardinera, for another of your delightful recaps.

I missed most of this episode and have to wonder if it's worth it to go back and watch the hanky panky by the lakey.

Jardinera, I just caught the last few minutes last night. Thank you for the marvy recap. I especially loved the rhyme of the first paragraph.
The whole recap was filled with great little phrases!

Definitely "A-Lucky" in avoiding mamá and having some fun with Santiago.

Ew, "master martyr". You just throw a ring like that in the garbage? Besides being "terminally" depressed, Ana Laura is devoid of any common sense.

Guess we will see Ramiro's reaction next episode. Should be good!

Jardinera- This was one of your best! I'm just watching the episode now as I write. Since the game went over so long, here on the east coast my recording will end long before the episode. Frankly, I don't even feel like watching the rest of what's on my recording, and your recap is WAY better.

All this terminal stupidity is getting on my nerves. I had to laugh when Mariano called Llora just a little girl to her face, when her exact same aged sister has been engaged, married, and widowed already. She also gets to go out and stay out as long as she wants, whenever she wants. Why the drama when Llora comes home barely after 10pm?

I think Lucia waited to call Soledad until the next day because she didn't want Sole harshing her mellow. Sexy times would not have been as much fun, had she had Soledad's screaming and scolding at her in her ear. As the saying goes, es mejor pedir perdon que pedir permiso.

Oh, there was a bit of a random throwaway scene with Viridiana (lady suing Mariano) talking to one her employees about her seamstress being too old and tired to work for her anymore. Viri was wondering where, oh where, she will be able to find another person with such fine needle skills. We know that Soledad has those skills, so it's easy to guess where she'll find a job-- pushing her closer to Mariano and Lucia's bio-family.

Wow Jardinera...I agree with everyone else that this was a spectacular recap with rhyming, naughty limerick style writing, dished up with your usual irreverent flair.
Also loved the title and the "eating as well as baking humble pie". Just a delight. Although the episode was NOT! Also appreciated the vocabulary "sin pila" as "unfounded". Nice catch.

Just terribly hard to sympathize with Ana Laura when she is such a total sucker for Ana Mi-Mi (love that too!)Why should she put more faith in her incredibly nasty sister than in her wise and loving nanny/sirvienta.

However it was amusing that the writers chose to put all three sisters in seduction mode, Ana Laura saying "no", Ana Lucia saying "yes" and Ana Leticia getting all hot and bothered remembering. Llamada de la sangre with a cherry on top!

This telenovela continues to be annoying but since they're once again yanking Yago out from under us, what can we do. It IS in Spanish. It's sole saving grace, except for the gymnastics scenes IMO.

Jardinera, I know Rulli and Boyer are a couple at the moment but I don't believe they have a child together. He has a child from a previous relationship. Doubt she could flash that six-pack if it had been stretched out in pregnancy lately.

Indeed, Judy! Although so many of these actresses do manage to look amazingly fit barely weeks after giving birth. But no, no babies (yet) for Rulli and Boyer.

Thanks, Jardinera. Such a fun, amusing recap -- and with rhyme. Sweet!

I swear Ana Laura better not pop up with a baby bump and refuse to tell Santi cause she must sacrifice herself so he can tend to his wife. I hate that storyline.

Gracias, Jardinera. Excellent.

Ditto to Vivi for the double standard on Llora as "nina" when her triplet sister is now a merry widow. They're 25 so this is ridiculous in the extreme and I have no pity for Soledad for Ana Lucia not calling. Of course, she may be completely aware that treating Ana Lucia like a child could work to keeping her one and she wins for her sin of stealing her in the first place.

Poor Ramiro was waylaid, parlayed, souffleed and filleted by the asp in the grass. This won't be the last time, either. Unlike the lagoon scene which will be the last of its kind for at least another 40 episodes. And I will be equally annoyed if Ana Lucia turns up enbarazada from her first time.

Urban: "Poor Ramiro was waylaid, parlayed, souffleed and filleted" - LOL!

JudyB/ViviDC: You may have overlooked this tweet and bit of tn news, guys. It was announced but I don't know when the baby was to be born. Sorry, dudettes.

Niece: I am not in the mood for that sacrificial baby plot line either. Maybe the tn gods will spice things up somehow differently.....

Carolina: It's a well made tn and when I tried FF I ended up having to go back because those scenes were shorter than I expected and I would miss the next conversational scene. I'd say yeah, go ahead.

Jarifa:" Besides being "terminally" depressed, Ana Laura is devoid of any common sense." That is the understatement of the year!! I have to hand it to AB for splitting her psyche into three for us so well. It's been great watching and hating her this time around.

thanks, JArdinera. Is anyone planning on watching "Queen of The South" the adaptation of "La Reina del Sur" on USA channel on Thursday?

I saw the original on Netflix which has both English and Spanish CC's and Kate del Castillo. I binge watched it as it was so well done. I believe they changed the main characters in this production. It is a powerful story so you should enjoy it.

Jardinera, thank you for the great and clever recap.

"Suddenly in bursts A MiMi before Leo can opine and puts the servant in her humble place, eating as well as baking the humble pie" was my favorite among many.

Ana Laura is by far the most frustrating of the trio. She accepts Ramiro's proposal, comes home radiant only to be robbed of her happiness by her uncle. But then to have her despicable sister talk her out of her relationship in minutes was just too much. As Jarifa noted, the girl has no common sense. She lets her sister lead her around by the nose and do exactly whatever poison her sister spews at her.

I am also fairly certain Ana Lu is pregnant now just as the evil forces are conspiring to send Santiago far, far away.

Diana

Thanks Jardinera for great recap!! Bec the football ran over, pushing the show later, my Dvr didn't get the last 15 minutes.

I wonder if recovered Marcelo will pick ALet or ALu. He will be a mix of both personalities.

AnaLlora is annoying. She so believes she is unlovable and thus doesn't deserve happiness that she changes her mind on a dime. Now it seems AnaLet will have more ammunition to use against him. He needs to get her on tape and play it for AnaLlora.

Hope ALu isn't preggers bec I don't want Santi to choose her bec of that. Plus I could see AnaLet try to make her lose it or kill the child.

Thanks Jardinera full of great lines and great snark - I missed the first half for no good reason except that I forgot it, but I too can't believe Llora is so malleable.

I have a crazy theory, which I know doesn't fit into the story and is in no way true, but what if all three girls were just three personalities of the same girl. Put all of them together you almost get a whole person.

Sneaky, that's exactly my thought.

Diana: I have to admit, Ana Llora gets on my last nerve. It's difficult to watch her when the waterworks are going--which is most of the time!

Carvyville: Marcelo will be a mix of both personalities gives me pause. Was he a creep or was he just a determined detective who was on the right side of the law? We still don't know that yet. Something tells me he was more dolt that devil because he never saw his wife for what she really is.

Sneaky - Like the three faces of Eve??? Seems like at least A MiMi qualifies.

Thanks, Jardinera. I did not see this. I love your rhyming and alliteration, though I admit it forces me to read everything twice: once to find out what happened, and a second time to admire how cool it sounds!

(Sorry for being clueless, but who is "Mo"? Is that Mariano?)

I'm glad Ramiro saved his comments to Leticia for tonight. I hope they are worth the wait.

I predict recovered Marcelo 2.0 will prefer AnaLu, but will go to AnaLet because she will guilt and manipulate him into it. Even if AnaLu is PG, AnaLet will convince him that the baby is someone else's.

Carolina, I am definitely going to have to watch the hanky panky by the lakey, especially since we aren't likely to see them together like that again soon.

Jardinera- That article was just made up. There's no baby. SR and AB have been having a jolly time since the end of Robo just being romantic all over LatAm and Europe and sparking pregnancy and marriage rumors wherever they go. But whenever they are interviewed face to face, they both squash those rumors. Here is yet another article over a year after the one you posted and claims she's currently pregnant: http://ellaslosaben.com/angelique-boyer-esta-embarazada-lo-acaba-de-anunciar-en-el-estreno-de-tres-veces-ana/

One of these days, one of these made up articles will eventually be correct-- just by pure luck and timing. (And I'm sure there are also plenty of break-up articles, and one day one of them will be correct.) :)
