Sueno de amor, #78 Hot stuff Ricardo Alegria in hot pursuit of an old lady with a cane

Side note:
It’s the first time I’m watching the new credits. As of now I believe Espe and Ric are still endgame, but maybe Osorio wants to do a poll or something similar, to have the audience « decide » the ending. Ha! Like anyone would care that much to actually vote…

Part 1
Crazy Tracy of the Crazy eyes arrives at Anastasia’s house. The baby is crying, so Ana hands her innocent little bundle to the lunatic who couldn't even love her own kids. Luquita better not have a long memory, being in the company of these two might scar him for life.
They start chatting about each others problems. Ana is worried about the DNA test, Tracy is worried because Ernie tried to kill her. She needs to hide from him, she’s desperate.
She further explains how Murillo chickened out at the last moment, shooting into a pillow and how he had a fake blood make-up kit in his back pocket just in case. Tracy agreed to give him all the money and jewelry that she had in exchange for her life. And now she’s dirt poor and has no place to stay. Could Ana help her ? Please ?

Pedro visits his mom in the hospital room. She wakes up, she feels bad, but she’ll get better. How about him, does he miss Kristel? Pedro reluctantly admits it. Someone please remind me why did these two brake up? I either missed that show or completely forgot.

Ernesto is questioning Murillo to make sure that Tracy is truly dead. He asks about the suicide letter and realizes his goon is nervous. Does he have something to hide, by any chance? Nope, just that killing another human being breathing creature was a first for Murillo, he’s still a little bit shaken up. Ernie, our designated galan, says it’s no biggie, Tracy was crazy and the world is better off without her. The patio needs to choose better galans.

Cristina shows Ricardo her daughter’s room. She has kept it intact ever since Abril left. Ric understands how she feels, he has two kids, too. He almost lost them several times, they even lived with Ernesto Not Galan Anymore de la Colina, who is now involved with his ex, Esperanza Secretly Sick Guerrero. He and Ernie used to be rivals, but not anymore, since Ernie won the lady.

Kristel and Margarita talk (in the laundry room) about Kris going to study in Barcelona. She needs some perspective, to put some space between she and her men love troubles. Marga is sad to see her go, but if she were to move to another continent, Kristel needs at the very least to learn how to separate her whites from her colored.
Oh, silly granny, didn’t you know that with Ace detergent you can just mix everything together?

It’s Ernesto’s turn to visit Esperanza. Oh, how he’s missed her in the last 24 hours. How he loves her and how he would willingly take her place in that bed (in a far better hospital, I would presume). Esperanza is grateful for his concern, his constant fawning care and his total devotion. Sorry, Espe, but you’re talking like Ernie was your only option, when you know all too well that you never gave your one true love the chance to be there for you. There I go defending Ric, but her stubbornness bugs me sooo much.

Ricardo and Cristina are still being followed. She is worried, but Ric is too much of a super ex secret agent to get scared – these are probably just some goons that Oscar hired to follow them.

Mario asks his ex-mother-in-law love advice. He wants to marry Viviana and wants to propose asap. Marga thinks he’s going fast, but she encourages him, as Silvana eavesdrops on them from a hidden corner.
The only problem is that Mario doesn’t have enough money to buy Vivi the ring that she deserves, so he asks for Felix’s advice. His solution: he’ll propose to Margarita, too, he’s been thinking about it for a while, maybe they can get a discount on two rings, two wedding, double the love.

Pato is happy to see her mom alive and well. She knew she had it in her, since she’s a courageous fighter.

It turns out that Margarita and Cristina are great pals. Marga is happy to see Cristina back among the living and asks about Abril. Cristina is happy to report that she has news that her daughter is alive. A friend is helping her find the child; and that friend just happens to work for the school. Marga can sense a forced romance a mile away. She thinks that Cristina should think about love, and why not with Ric? He was engaged to Esperanza, yes, but apparently she fell out of love with him. Besides, he’s a great guy and Cristina needs someone new.
No, that’s the last thing on Cristina’s mind, she’s been too hurt by her ex, she’s hollow inside. What if they talk about work instead and more specifically, about the scholarship program that she wants to reinstate. Margarita is happy to hear this, she even has two perfect candidates for the money aid: Estrella and Kiko Gallo. Estrella is the very best student at her current, mediocre school, while Kiko is so smart, that they might even have to test him to see if they can place him in a more advanced class.
Hahahaaa, Kiko is so smart! Dating a 14 year-old pregnant girl, who raped his sister’s boyfriend and now is teaching him how to French kiss. What a family, at least they won’t get bored at the Thanksgiving table.

Baxter calls Ric with a lead on a woman who might have Abril. Ric runs to get Cristina and together they go to search for said woman. Ric manages to ditch his tail by driving like a lunatic, almost making Cristina undress in the adrenaline filled car puke.
They end up on a street, just in time to see Gervasia and Abril leave a building. Cristina screams, alerting the woman, Ric runs after her and Cristina follows for a while, but bumps into a guy on the street and falls in some bushes. Ric, ever the idiot gentleman, allows for Gervasia to get into a bus, while he turns around to help Cristina get up. WTF, dude, an old woman with a cane and dragging a child at the same time, can outrun you? WTF??
Well, Ric can’t catch old Gervasia, but he’s fast enough to catch and stop a moving bus. He tells everyone looking at him in stupor that Gervasia stole the child she’s holding onto from her mother and he came to save her. The people on the bus just take him for his word and allow for him to leave with Abril. To win the girl’s confidence, he promises he’s taking her to her mom and shows her pictures of his own kids.
Girl is his arms, Ric rushes back to where Cristina is still trying to balance on her high hills with her painted on skirt.
This has got to be the most anti-climatic chase scene ever, but, oh well, Osorio Land.
The mother-daughter reunion is sweet, I’m such a sucker for this kind of scenes that I even tear up a bit. (Do the new mom hormones ever go away? I weep at all kids in peril scenes nowadays, it’s exhausting!)

Aranza overhears Kristel talking on the phone about transferring to another school and asks her why she plans to leave. Well, Kristel needs to put some space between she and Pedro – they broke up and she’s a little bit CONFUSED right now. As it turns out, they both lost him, Kris finishes, but Ara promptly correct her: maybe he lost us both! (Yeah, girl power!)
Ara also wonders where Pato and Pedro are, since they’re both skipping school. Kris pretends not to know anything.

Pato and Luca talk about how hard it is seeing Espe on a hospital bed. Luca is trying to comfort Pato just in time for Anastasia to call. Luca absolutely has to answer because Ana agreed to the DNA test, and Pato goes through the roof yet again. She can’t deal with this right now, he better tend to his other obligations and leave her be.
A quarrel or two later Luca is off to the lab and Pato is left to worry about her mom. After the test is done, the nurse tells Luca that he will receive the invoice on his e-mail address and the result in person or e-mail in two days. How conveniently fast! In France a DNA test takes about a month but Telenovela Land has to have better medical practice than real world labs, right? This is only natural, since the demand is bigger, too.

Cristina and Ricardo take Abril home, to her room, who is just the way she left it, a year ago. Once again I choke up, but not because of this scene, but because of all the many parents who never have the chance of such a happy resolution in real life. Abril is happy to see her dolls and Cristina promises they will never part ever again, as Ric watches on from the door (and Cris de la Fuente’s genuine smile in the scene is such a rarity in this tn, he should use it more often).
Cristina notices that Abril has some bruises on her arms. As soon as the girl is fed and safely asleep in her room, she and Ric talk about the need to see a pediatrician and doctor Mireya, of course.
Cristina is forever grateful for what Ric did for her, he brought her back to life, she will never be able to repay him (I’m sure she’ll think of something). They gaze at one another, he still calls her Senorita Cristina and says that it was a pleasure to help. They seal their new found lust friendship with a hug.

Part 2
Back to Pato and Luca, he says that if the baby proves to be his, he will take care of him. If not, it's still a De La Colina, so, still part of the family. Pato is tired of talking about the same thing, she wishes he just left, but Luca won't do that, he's there to support her and be with her and blah blah... these two bore me to tears. Luca needs to go and watch that DNA sample 24/7, make sure that nobody is messing with it. His teenage fiancée can wait, she has better things to worry about, anyway.

Ernie and Pedro have the strangest conversation. They talk about Pedro possibly going to study wherever he wants, but Europe is the best choice. Ernesto will pay for everything, he just wants what's best for Pedro, because he sees him like a son, now, too. Pedro feels embarrassed and doesn't think this is the right time to be talking about his academic future.
Yeah, Ernie, how is it that you're worried about this at this exact time? It sure feels like you're trying to push Pedro out of the picture, at least that's what I'm feeling, but with what purpose?

Gervasia calls Oscar from jail, but when he hears what happened, he decides he doesn't need the nanny, anymore. She does tell him Ric's full name (that she heard on the bus) and as soon as he gets rid of the nanny, Oscar calls his men, telling them that he now knows the name of Cristina's new guy

Anastasia gets home, finding Tracy in the middle of a mani-pedi session. She gets all flustered and horny (??) seeing Tracy's assets and gets a little bit too close even for a crazy like Tracy to notice that something is off with her accomplice. If Ana is coming out of the closet after having bedded both De La Colina men, they must not have been that good.
Ana hands the baby to her house guest and wants to leaves to get some rest. Tracy is horrified, she never took care of kids, not even hers, Ric did everything in their house. Ana doesn't care about this, if Tracy stays with her, she has to earn her living somehow.

Ernesto is back with Esperanza and this time, in between love declarations, he says that he just shared a special moment with Pedro (if it was that special, why do you feel the need to share it with someone else?). He is moved to tears and chastely kisses Espe on the forehead, joking that maybe this time she won't slap him. Espe seems very impressed with him, how will she ever be able to repay everything that he's doing for her? Ernie only wants her to get better, that will be enough payment.
Later on Pato comes to Espe's room to whine about Luca. At one point she realizes that she's being out of place, but Espe loves the chatter, I'm sure that just like any loving mother, she's blind to Pato's annoying character

Ric, Cristina and their three kids arrive at Ric's house after school. He obviously went to pick up Selena and Rodrigo, but why isn't Cristina home, with her daughter, after so much time apart? They act like Abril has been missing a weekend, not an entire year.
Selena asks Abril to come play with her, but Cristina tells her that her daughter is shy. Ric has to go buy some food (or something), so Cristina promptly asks him to do some shopping for her, too, before she has to go to the doctor's with Abril. Ric jokes that he's now become her servant and they banter on the matter for a while. (How cute, doesn't make me nauseous at all). Even Selena and Rod look at them strangely, like: "Dad, QTH are you doing with this personification of demureness sex bomb?"
Ric leaves the house, notices how a woman drops some money in the street, bends to grab it and just then is hit in the head by some guy - Oscar's goon.

Questions of the day:
If Felix and Mario have double weddings, will the brides wear the same type of dress? Will Silvana be her mom's matron of honor at the same wedding where her ex is marrying with her daughter's baby daddy mom?

If Luquita turns out to be Luca's, is the baby better off with PatoLuca or just Luca? Pato is 18, like she said, she has no plands to change diapers just yet.

When will Ricardo tell Cristina that Baxter did all the work, while he did a little bit of chasing?

Excellent! Now I will be sitting by the computer waiting for the rest!!

Thanks!

Pedro broke up with Kristel because he couldn't stand the thought that every time someone said the word ''Erasmo'', she kept still like she was thinking about that night when he burnt her ''marshmallow'' if you know what I mean. Of course she denied it, but I saw her too. Besides, Pedro needs someone like Erasmo, LOL!

And speaking of, did you notice Anastasia's suddenly 'attraction'' for Kracy? I could almost hear the Hanna Barbera sound effects when Ana sees a very sexy Kracy painting her nails and shakes that bad thought from her head... LGBT-MNOPQ subplot anyone?

And, I remember when Margarita projected a very loving future between Espe and Ric, because ''she had an eye'', so if she sees that now between Cri and Ric, I would be worried...

Pablo, thanks! O did notice Anastasia's sudden change in attitude towards Tracy. I mentioned it in my notes, too, more on that later.
Margarita's out of the blue guess was so ridiculous, I have no words !

This was great Adriana Noel.

"Crazy Tracy of the Crazy eyes", "Marga can sense a forced romance a mile away" and "What a family, at least they won’t get bored at the Thanksgiving table" were among many favorites.

"The patio needs to choose better galans". I'm still obsessing over the loss of what might have been Ernesto's redemption fueled by the power of love. I won't blame those of us who were drawn in by Ernesto's devotion to Esperanza. Frankly, I still am. Darn Tracy and her evil machinations. If she hadn't drawn him into her murderous plans, he might never have shown his callousness for those whom he doesn't love.

I am really anxious for Esperanza to get better. If she does, I wonder if she will realize how foolish she's been and confess all to Ricardo. It may be too late after all though.

Anastasia's little fantasies about Tracy came completely out of the blue. I'm all for finding love with whomever suits you but this is completely out of character and seems like just another nutty plot device.

Pablo, "And, I remember when Margarita projected a very loving future between Espe and Ric, because ''she had an eye'', so if she sees that now between Cri and Ric, I would be worried". Yes. Me too.

"Once again I choke up, but not because of this scene, but because of all the many parents who never have the chance of such a happy resolution in real life". You have a kind heart Adriana Noel.

I have to say here that some of my favorite galans shine when they work with children in certain scenes. Yanez, Rulli and others. Ricardo is not my favorite but he has a nice camaraderie with the kids here and I like this.

Thank you again!

Diana

Thank you for stopping by, Diana. Your dedication to our little talks is outstanding!
I believe that by the time Espe gets well she will somehow be entangled with Ernie and Ric will be blissfully happy with Cristina. Who knows what Osorio plans to do with this quad...

I was one of the first ones to root for Ernesto's redemption, but his total abnegation is starting to grate me now that I know that he's putting on a good person act for Espe and paying a gun for hire as soon as he leaves her side. Yes, I believe that he truly loves her, he is capable of love, but he's also capable of murder. So...

Thanks, Adriana, I enjoyed it!

I was creeped out with Tracy making comments about Anastasia's skin right after talking about going all out for revenge on everyone. I hope we do not have an acid attack in retribution for whatever "injustice" Anastasia did to her.

I for one am happy that at least the wedding at the end is covered by the Margarita/Félix and Viviana/Mario double ringer zinger wedding ceremony on the horizon. Might that not protect us from the young ones prematurely throwing themselves at(on?) the altar? Sure hope so.

"The patio needs to choose better galans". If only there were something to better choose from here. I had high hopes for Ernesto until he did nothing to impede Tracy's plot which could have killed her own kids. For me, there is nobody left of "galán worthy" consideration.
Diana, you are right that Tracy ruined the Ernesto as "galán" hope.

That is all for now.

Second part is up.
Enjoy!

Jarifa, when it comes to Anastasia, I'm mostly sorry for her baby. Whenever she complains about changing a diaper or bad sleep, I am afraid that the baby is not being properly taken care of. Osorio's idea of entertainment includes showing us a sweet innocent child living with two lunatics, that most definitely neglect him.
True, there are no galans to choose from. Why doesn't the show bring a new man for Esperanza? She was good enough for the likes of Ricardo, and still, he gets a new squeeze, while Espe is stuck with being sick and being cared for by a murderer.

Thanks!

I see that Univisión will not show SdA on monday, so see you all between here and tuesday...

Adriana Noel, thanks for a very hilarious recap. but it was rather funny and kind of ridiculous he couldn't catch the old woman with a cane Dragging a kid but he could catch a big ass bus. And Christine, who runs in 5inch heels and a skin tight skirt?seriously? And why does ric find it necessary to tell people he's an ex CIA agent? that's about the 3rd or 4th time I've heard him say that. it's like he's promoting his super strength.

I had a feeling crazy tracy was not dead.that photo of her laying on the floor was to perfect, like she was posing for a shot on a crime magazine cover. And isn't that a fake newspaper? Erny isn't to bright to not take a good look at that fake newspaper.
Pato keeps getting hysterical and mad like that somebody is going to mistake her for kracy Tracy. OK thats it for now. happy Fourth of July patio people be safe out there.:-)

Adriana, loved your " Questions of the Day". Thanks! I agree about the poor baby. Seems to be no real affection there for him. Also,a new love interest would be the best for Esperanza.

Pablo thanks for letting us know about Monday.

Nina, you are right: Ricardo never misses a chance to tell people he is an ex super duper secret agent.

Fantastic Part 2 Adriana Noel.

"Luca needs to go and watch that DNA sample 24/7, make sure that nobody is messing with it. His teenage fiancée can wait, she has better things to worry about, anyway" and "Espe loves the chatter, I'm sure that just like any loving mother, she's blind to Pato's annoying character" were among my favorites.

"It sure feels like you're trying to push Pedro out of the picture, at least that's what I'm feeling, but with what purpose?" OK, I readily admit I was totally caught off guard. Here I was thinking how nice it is that Ernesto has embraced Pedro, but truth be told, he did the same with Luca who isn't his bio son, so it was not at all surprising to me. I've not seen any side glances or anything to indicate he doesn't care about the kid. So, I guess I've missed something important here. Thank you for bringing this to our attention - I will have to watch closer.

Agree with Jarifa that your questions were terrific.

And Nina, I have no answer to "And Christine, who runs in 5inch heels and a skin tight skirt?seriously? And why does ric find it necessary to tell people he's an ex CIA agent?" except to smile and shake my head that I don't understand it either! :)

Thanks Adriana Noel!

Diana

Diana, maybe the Pedro thing was just my imagination. I don't doubt that Ernie is capable of love, but sometimes his loves comes with strings attached.
Nina, was the newspaper fake? Ernie is definitely losing his touch then. Murillo is quite the guy, make up artist and editor on top of everything.

"Sometimes his loves come with strings attached".

Excellent point Adriana Noel.

I readily admit I'm sort of mesmerized by the "new" Julian Gil and am finding it hard to be "neutral"...:)

Diana
