Tres Veces Ana # 41
Recap added!
Labels: ana
I laughed when Ev emerged from the shadows. We knew he couldn't be far away.
My hate for Soledad, which was already pretty high, went up tenfold this episode when she slapped and humiliated ALucia, and then used emotional blackmail on her (if you don't leave right now, you won't find me at home when you get back). Ugh!
Evaristo is protecting Soledad in whatever ways he can think of and doesn't appear to care whom he has to hurt in the process. At the same time he is bleeding AnaMeMeMe for whatever he can get out of her. The whole situation amuses him as well, just as Inaki and Daniel's right amused our little narcissist.
So now we have Valentin encountering his estranged mother. His reaction was predictable. And Inaki belted his half-bro (I guess that might be added to a cliche list) while Ana Lucia still hasn't seen her sisters. I guess Inaki and Javier will encounter Julieta before Ana Lucia meets Ernestina and Mariano.
Julieta is the wife of Tadeo and mother of Inaki & Javier who ditched them for a rich man and had Daniel.
Valentin is the son of Nerina, who told some character earlier in the show that her children had abandoned her (so Valentin has a sibling out there). Valetin's story is his family rejected HIM after he ran through the money his dad left him when he died (I think all on account of Gina).
Miranda & her husband serve as the connection between Ernestina & Rodrigo.
Nerina might not like Ana Lucia because of Gina (maybe Nerina saw Gina & Ana Leticia hanging out one time, knew Gina was bad news & concludes if Ana Leticia was hanging out with Gina that she must be bad news as well, sees Ana LUCIA and is reminded of the bad times with Gina)
Soledad needs to be stopped & exposed. Remedios can put a stop to this but she won't. I need Chana to come back and do some more fortune telling.
Nerina has no excuse for her behavior toward Ana Lucia. And didn't Gina know Ana Llorona and AnaMeMeMe?
And agree with everyone else that it was very hard to watch Soledad, acting solely on her own behalf, not Ana Lucia's-- slap, shame, and humiliate her supposedly "beloved" daughter, in order to save her own skin. Nothing admirable in this maternal love, regardless of what she may have made the gullible, good-hearted Remedios believe.
Acrobatics! Circus! Yay!
Then Inaki bores BadAna w/his drunken ramblings so she gets him dancing.
Back at the circus there is singing, does wheelchair boy recognize his mom singing? Does she see him in the audience crying? One or both of them has a flashback to his dad's death so seems like.
Ramiro takes Llora home. She totes forgives him but they can only be friends now and he can't get between her and wheelchair boy. He wants more, but nopis.
Sue and her bestie chat, Sue's dropping the case (oh dear what will I call her now?) b/c she just feels so sorry for TioM's loss and pain. Also something about her shop (whatever, I don't care.Back to the acrobats!)
Javi's dad plays w/a crystal ball and has a flashback to when he found his exwife in her new life w/her new kid. He's got a lot of aggro questions - sure he's not mine? ever miss our kids? Back to performing
BadAna and Inaki mack, Daniel punches his half brother (see, I have been paying attention!... sometimes) he yells at BadAna he knows she's jilting him for another dude again and he's pissed, but Inaki comes back at him and while they're distracted by fighting, BadAna leaves w/a cat who ate the canary smile.
Llora breaks it to Leonore she's not getting back w/Ramiro. sob.
Acrobats! Maribel's turn. ( ya know Sachi Tamashiro, the actress who plays Maribel is pretty good w/ those silks and she's taller than AB which doesn't make acrobatics/gymnastics any easier, I bet she puts in as much practice time as AB if not more. I wonder if real life is mirroring the story at all.) Maribel falls but w/Javi's help recovers gracefully (now I'm even more impressed w/Sachi, making a fall look real w/o hurting yourself is not easy)
Aww naw back to Llora's crying - nobody understands her, waaa except wheelchair boy, sniffle. Ramiro deserves a girl w/2 legs waaa. (how bout a girl who knows how to cry less and live more, does he deserve that?) And now she's crying over Analu's bracelet sigh
Acrobats! FreeSpirit's routine seems to mostly involve scaring the audience w/lots of sudden drops, but hey, they love it.
Inaki gets home beat up and drunk and explains to Ramiro who actually knows who Daniel is, not that they're bros, but his last name.
Javi's dad gets up to talk and says the performance was sponsored by Llora's foundation. Sole and Remedios have little heart attacks. Abue gets up and gives a speech bout why the foundation was started, her granddaughter lost a leg (Llora would hate that if she was there) SantiMarc stares and Sole and Remedios perch on the edges of their chairs and clutch each other. Freespirit removes her mask. Abue asks the performers to return to teh stage for prezzies. Sole, Santiago and Orlando bolt for backstage to grab FreeSpirit. Sole gets there first and insists they are leaving. NOW! When FreeSpirit protests Sole slaps her and tells her if we don't go together now, I'll go away and leave you alone and you won't see me again. Tearful FreeSpirit cruelly brought to earth after flying so free only moments before, allows herself to be chained to her "mother's" apron and they leave. The rest of the troupe heads out on stage for the prezzies.
Orlando and Santiago have a backstage confrontation, nothing new or exciting here.
FreeSpirit wants to go get her stuff or at least take her makeup off, but Sole's got a good grip on her arm and drags her off.
Evaristo watches from behind a tree.
Agony Aunt and wheelchair boy speak to ea other for the first time in almost 10 yrs. She doesn't know about his accident and wheelchair and he'd rather have her think he still hates her than tell her he can't stand up to greet her or take the next step to meet her halfway. She leaves in tears, he whispers "mama" in the saddest softest voice she'll never hear.
And that's it.
So the only secret that hasn't been revealed to the audience yet is Leonor's secret. Let's get a move on with that! And let's finally get a meet up between Ernestina and Rodrigo too. I want him to throw it in her face that she was wrong and threw him to the curb for no reason.
Also: "how bout a girl who knows how to cry less and live more, does he deserve that?" I know that was a rhetorical question, but I'm not sure what the answer should be. I'd like to see more evidence of brain cells first.
Of course I'm pissed off at Soledad. Not only for slapping AnaLu and treating her like a little kid, but also for depriving ME of the pleasure of the big reveal. Oh well, it's not like I actually got to see this anyway, I got home late and these episodes don't show up on Hulu until a couple of weeks later. But it's going to be even harder for me to watch the show when they start doing two hours a night, so I'd like the three Anas to meet very soon. Like, tonight. Is that too much to ask? LOL.
Also very grateful for the description of the ending scene. My recording is cutting off early. Need to make some adjustments.
Julie, Hulu is being very annoying. In addition to getting up episodes sometimes a day late, half the time the closed captions are in English which I HATE. I want to learn Spanish and they are not helping me at all. The sound is so fuzzy on the other show, Yago, that I often need the closed captions to fully understand the dialogue.
So glad I'm not alone in my utter distain of Soledad. Selfish beyotch, that's all she is. She doesn't care a wit for her daughter anymore, she is out for self-preservation she doesn't wind up in the slammer. Heck, Remedios seemed a lot more amazed and proud of AnaLu's performance than Soledad. But I am disappointed in Remedios if she doesn't lay into Soledad AGAIN and tell her to come clean. She heard the tale from the family, AnaLu deserves to meet this sister who also suffered a tragic loss.
Got a hoot out of AnaLe's quick exit at the bar. Lord, the girl does enjoy getting the guys all worked up over her. Stupid fools...Really? Move on guys...she's not worth it.
I did like the interplay of revealing relationships as the performances unfolded. But back to Soledad and her totally clueless moment backstage---heck she embarrassed herself more than her daughter. Please dear writers...make AnaLu wake up and smell the rotting roses.
Also, I caught the last post & am definitely happy to offer help for any of the 1st 3 days of the week. I'm not sure which days are better for me. I could probably do Tuesdays if that sounds reasonable. Looking forward to tonight!
Julie, you're right of course, Ramiro needs to show us he deserves... something other than a long walk off a short pier.
___
Anna Nabil, Thanks so much I'd love for you to take Tuesdays but maybe Ria needs you to take one of her days more? Ria? If not, Tuesdays are totally yours.
___
Vivi, an injury to lighten the work load I hadn't thought of that, hmm :D
___
I very well might be wrong, but seeing Valentin with genuine emotions has made me hope for some sort of redemption for him, after all, he hasn't killed anyone yet.
Soledad on the other hand is looking worse and worse
And also ditto to everybody else's comments on Sole and Ana Lu!
Anna Nabil, this is great you would like to recap Tuesdays! Sneaky, thank you very much for checking with me - Anna taking Tuesdays is good with me and plus, we now have more team mates in our TVA crew to count on in case back-up is needed.
So Anna, I just sent you a note through your profile, let me know if you haven't received it, otherwise respond back and we'll get you set up! Excited to have you join!
