Anita, these were clever and so much fun!

Loved the lot but my favorites were: "Luis - Flaming Balls", "Marissa – Glow Stick or Rainbow", "Pedro - Cherry Bomb or Flower Pot" and especially "Mariana - Screech Rocket".

You are so creative. Thank you for allowing us to start the day off with a huge smile!

Diana

Hi everybody,

I apologize but I'm unable to do a complete recap today. I've spend most of the morning trying unsuccessfully to catch my cat Angel and take him to the vet for a follow-up appointment (he's a genius at reading body language), and I've also destroyed my cell phone by spilling a bottle of water in my purse. With all that going on, I've managed to leave my notes about the episode at home.

So let me try to hit a few high points from memory. I hope they're not too much out of order.

Part #1

The episode begins at Pedro's casita. Carlos is telling Pedrito how beautiful his eyes are, how precious he is. Then Carlos returns him to Papa -- Javier -- in a very touching scene. This is a perfect opportunity for Javier and Fernanda to come clean, but they don't.

Fernanda tries to justify her lie to Javier, but he's not buying it. He does ask her to marry him, though. She refuses him. She still loves Carlos.

At Fernando's mansion, he and Blanca are trying to call Carlos (he much prefers Carlos to his new doctor), and Mariana starts an argument. It's interrupted when Camila rushes in and says she has something important to say to Mariana in private. Mariana calls Blanca an old meddler and warns her not to listen at the door. (Clearly Mariana has seen a telenovela or two.) Camila tells Mariana about her guilt and that Fernanda has a child. Mariana thought-bubbles that it's Carlos's child. Mariana again threatens Camila with going to jail for perjury.

Part #2

Pedro visits Marissa. His face shows his sadness at seeing her disabled (walking with a cane), but she assures him that she's on her way to a complete recovery.

At the bank, Luis tells his security boss that he wants to get rid of Carlos. Security Boss (can't remember his name, but he's the sleazy PI that Hernan once beat up when he tried to blackmail Mariana) tells Luis that he would be the prime suspect, and that they would also come after him because he's the chief of security. Luis tells him to make it look like an accident, and he'll be rewarded so well that he can retire.

There's a lot of discussion between the various characters about why Pedro hates Carlos, and why Marissa dislikes Fernanda ... but let me jump ahead to the creepy stuff ... the Patio was right about Diego!

Lucero makes a salad, but Diego chokes on it ... too much pepper. She's trying really hard. He says he loves her, but he won't let her out of the apartment. He says that women are only are only good for two things ... cooking and mopping (trapear, it also means to beat or to tick off). Lucero tries to reason with Diego, and he says that no one can understand the kind of love he feels. He leaves, locking the door behind him with a padlock. Lucero acknowledges that she's made a huge mistake, but now she has nowhere to go. Her mother has disowned her. (Lucero, Can you take that door off its hinges? Or break a window?)

Part 3#

Maribel gets out of jail, and they throw a party at Pedro's casita. Off to the side, Fernanda tells Pedro that she still loves Carlos although they can't be together. She goes outside to clear her head, and Carlos appears. They kiss in the moonlight. (Their real-life chemistry is obvious.) Fernanda continues to let him think that she went to Spain with Javier.

Later Carlos goes to Javier's house and demands to know why Fernanda and the child aren't living there. Call her, he demands.

The episode ends with Fernanda showing Maribel the flower shop that she and Pedro have opened.

Whoops, forgot something important. Diego slapped Lucero.

Aleta - you did a great job, especially doing so from memory! Anita, enjoyed the list of fireworks/characters!

Not doing a great job at telling the truth: Javier and Fernanda. As you stated, "perfect opportunity for them to come clean" but they didn't take it.

Poor Lucero. Ugh, that secondary plot sure took an ugly and sudden turn.

Luis and Mariana continue to be awful, and yet somehow Pedro is lately managing to annoy me far more.

Anita - No problem it was really just a check for me to make sure.

Aleta - that darn kitty! LOL! They are perceptive.

I think you hit everything from last night so here are my comments a couple I wanted to make last week but being behind and not finishing until late I figured that I'd wait.

1. Javier, I agree that he should tell Carlos the truth, but not the truth that he was trying to tell. It is not his responsibility to tell Carlos that Carlos is lil Pedro's dad; however, he can clear up that he (Javier) is not the father. Now, that pretty much tells the story to Carlos - but all he can do is tell his portion of the truth and that is "that aint my baby"

2. Diego, what kind of creepy possessive craziness is this? I thought that he'd be some kind of crazy, but this wasn't the crazy. At least she gets to roam around the entire apartment instead of being chained to the bed (looking for a bright side to this mess). Aleta, I guess she doesn't leave because where will she go is what her thoughts are.

3. For a supposedly married woman, Carlos surely is all up this married woman (holding and kissing her like they belong together or something lol) and she is giving sweet kisses back like she isn't married.

4. Luis, you have now started to dabble in murder for hire. C'mon dude! Good thing that guy (I forgot his name too - Ismel?) is actually thinking that he isn't going to jail for murder.

Great job remembering Aleta, I can barely remember 10 minutes ago if I don't write it down.

Thanks, Aleta. You gave this your usual great treatment, even though you didn't have your usual resources.

I am totally creeped out by Diego hitting Lucero and locking her in the apartment.

If I were Fer, I would gradually withdraw my closeness to Pedro until such time as he treats her like a grown up an respects her decisions.

Oh, Luie is going to have Carlos murdered? I'm sure that will work out well for him.

Don Fer has been his old self lately. I like that. I hate the vacuous look when he is having one of his episodes.

Thanks again, Aleta.

David

Thank you Aleta you did awesome from memory, what a trooper.

Anita your fireworks match is hilarious.

Always knew Carlos is a big spoiled baby that cries and whines and stomps off saying he ain't coming back but since no one begs him to stay, the little boy stomps back again and again.

La Toddle loves spoiled boy galans. The only thing that saves the Carlos character for me is Horacio Pancheri, who hasn't completely convinced me he is a spoiled boy galan (just really weepy), unlike Daniel Arenas who's got that down to a T.

I want Javier to punch Carlos and when he's on his back tell him he ain't the daddy so take his drama and games elsewhere.

I'm tired of Fernanda trying to talk reason to a halfwit so imagine she's about had it with Pedro. He's nothing but a drag and I want Fernanda to cut him loose. That would be something to celebrate.

Diego woos a teenage girl, isolates, imprisons and abuses her, right under everyone's nose.

Anita, loved the fireworks comparison. How inventive of you!

I'm glad you all liked the recap. I have a couple more things to add.

Carlos asked Fernanda if she swore eternal love to Javier as she did to him, and he asked her why she was still living here (Pedro's casita) if Javier was the father of his child. I didn't write down her answers, so I think all he got was a blank stare.

Fernanda told Pedro that his opinions about rich people were bigoted, and asked why he can't like Carlos when he is friends with his mother. She asked if he wanted to keep her in a little box (cajita). She said that the only thing that Carlos was guilty of was making her the happiest girl in the world.

Aleta

Tofie, Don't you think that Carlos is at least smarter than the Daniel Arenas character that everyone said had "one brain cell"?

Did I just see Lucero getting slapped ?

Steve, yes, you did, and it's pretty scary. I can't decide if we're getting a PSA for long engagements or listening to advice from one's mother. At least Lucero knows that he's mentally ill and that she has to get out before the violence escalates. Since Diego didn't have many belongings, not even a bed, I'm afraid he might be on the run.

Anita thanks for the fireworks graphics. Aleta you done good from memory. Now, what the hell did lucerio get herself into? She married a psycho. Makes you wonder where was he teaching before he came there. And is there a wife no.1 & 2. And where are they now? O honey you should have listened to moma. I thought he was a decent nice guy but man was I wrong about that psychopath. I was shocked when I saw him lock her in that apartment and telling her it's for her own good, is he out of his freakin mind? and she sitting there crying thinkin about everything her mother said and trying to figure out where to go. I'll tell you what, I'll find somewhere to go I'd get away from that psychopathic. She could Brake a window. OMG!!!! He's crazy!!! If you get desperate enough, there is a way. Iam sorry for her.

Pedro, why is he so hateful? When did this start against carlos. I saw something in the advance last night when it went off and I won't say anything about it I want us all to be shocked when it happens, " IF" It happens and if it does it'll be a good thing. I think.
Carlos was told some lies, fernanda was told some lies. And pedro is the lying liar. And no one is trying to change this situation. Not even his sista the sister. Everyone is helpin little pedrito live this lie. and fer doesn't seem to think that there's anything wrong with that. How'd that work out for her? And to make matters worst, javier wants to wed
Her, Im glad she said no. Pedro need to go jump in a flowerpot of Mudd. I do not like that man.

Nina, you're right. Why are they making us dislike Pedro and Amelia so much? Aren't they supposed to be protagonists?

I didn't pick up on what you saw in the advances, so I'm looking forward to tonight.

Aleta, I just read your marvelous recap.

Let me join the chorus in my admiration for your recalling such clear, concise memory from detail.

"Lucero makes a salad, but Diego chokes on it made me smile", ear to ear.

I am having a very long day at work so can't really comment except to say thank you Aleta. I am sorry about your cell phone (mine went for a swim in the washer last week), so understand how vexing these things can be.

I will say Carlos and Fernanda shone. I can't wait for them to have their happy life together.

Diana

Ummm, should be detail from memory.

Proof positive I'm a bit weary.

Diana

Ooh Anita! The fireworks applied to the various characters was so clever and witty! I can't decide which one I like the best, but admit to laughing out loud at Mariana - Screech Rocket.

Aleta thanks for that great recap, you did a great job despite your problems this morning. I hope your day gets better!

Have I said how much I loathe Pedro lately? If I haven't let me state it. I LOATHE him. He was the absolute worst one in this episode and he showed his ass in more ways than one.

I know I'm supposed to dislike some of the other characters more, but Pedro annoys the ever loving crap out of me. He whines, moans and bullies Fernanda and I can't stand it. He's always right and he doesn't know when to stop. The loudest one wins..and it's always him. Blah blah blah on and on. I wish someone would put a fist to his mouth. I don't know how Fernanda can stand such smothering and controlling! I'm glad she told her father that she will not have him cussing or insulting Carlos in front of her and that he is the baby's father. It really made my skin crawl when Pedro said he was the father and wanted it to stay that way. This guy has some serious possessive issues. I think Amelia went about things the wrong way and poor Fer got the worst of it, but Amelia should keep it moving. She can do better than Pushy Possessive Pedro.

Then there's his visit to Marissa. I can't believe after never bothering to check in on her in the two years she was in a coma, he had the nerve to go to her house. It wasn't to see how she was doing eithr, his visit was all about coming to complain about Carlos! Pedro is a low class jerk with no manners.

Well, Diego turned out to be the creepy guy most of us were expecting. Poor Lucero. I hope she can get out of there and soon.

Fer and Carlos smooching in the moonlight! Aaaaaah...the best part!

Aleta, yes Carlos is smarter, unlike Daniel's characters in both CI and La Gata but I again give Horacio the credit. Even when he jumps to boneheaded conclusions they seem reasonably boneheaded and you can tell he just might put it all together. Daniel has one blank look he uses for everything and you just know nobody's home.

I'm going to jump on the Carlos is smarter than a 5th grader band wagon. I don't know the actor or shows you guys are talking about, but the fact that after 2 years of being around no one but a comatose mom, a precocious 10 year old (guess dont know his age), and a clingy obsessed slick hairball he didn't fall into the typical'love the one you with' trap that ead very easy to do since he was told lie after lie about Fer's whereabouts and he never found her.

That furball had nothing coming.

Pedro is a pushy posessive budinsky. He is a controll freak. And carlos tryin to find anything out is gonna be like pullin
teeth. Pedro is detetmind to keep the lie going. I thought he was so upstanding, well he was and the writers for some Insidious reason desided to make him this gigantic ass that annoys the hell out of viewerville. Make it stop. I hope they change him back soon, cuz its just too hot for this aggrevation.

How many more episodes of this love story gone wrong? That is the sweetest precious baby boy. I like watchin just to see him. The adults in his world are wacky doddles.

Ha Nina...come sit next to me. It sounds like you're Pedro annoyance is through the roof! I am so over this metiche. He acts like an old woman running around carrying tales and complaints around town.

I never thought I'd begin to like Amelia for no other reason than that she annoys me less than Pushy Pedro.

I gotta hand it to the actor playing Diego. He does the creepy abusive husband really well. The change that comes across his face and eyes as his mood shifted toward Lucero gave me chills.

Un Camino July 6 Part I

I missed the actual beginning. My recording starts with Marissa getting ready to go to therapy. Clarita offers to help her and changes purses for her. Marissa has a flashback to when Carlos told her that as soon as he could get back to Mexico, he's going to marry Fer.

Marissa is putting on a very expensive looking black scarf. She tells Clarita that she wants to go to Fer's house to see her, but Clarita tells her she's at her shop. Marissa tells Clarita to get changed and come with her.

Clarita walks into Fer's shop where Fer and Meribel are working, and Pedrito is there too. Then Marissa walks in. She greets Fer and asks if this is her son. Fer admits that he is. Marissa wants to hold him and Fer very reluctantly complies. Pedrito tries to put his toy car in Marissa's mouth. Marissa says that Pedrito is the spitting image of Carlos when he was that age. Fer doesn't like where this is going.

Marissa gibes Pedrito back to Fer and leaves. It turns out that Maribel swiped Marissa's expensive looking scarf, and Fer scolds her for going back to her clepto ways, but Maribel says no, she swiped it so Fer could have a pretext to take it to Carlos and see him.

Blanca visits Carlos at his office and tells him things aren't going well with don Fer, and will Carlos come and see him?

Carlos visits don Fer and is given an oily phony greeting by Hernan and Mariana. Don Fer doesn't remember his face, but he does remember his voice, and he remembers their friendship.

Isy swaggers into Fer's shop and starts insulting her as a filthy poor person - but what could you expect from the daughter of a filthy gardener? (I'm thinking that Fer learned to fight in prison; where did you learn to fight, Isy?)

Isa says that Carlos is hers. Fer says, "Then why was he at my house last night?"

David

Un Camino July 6 Part II

Camila walks Carlos out after he visited with don Der an asks about his situation - he's alone. What about Fer? No, we're not together. Cam explains that she tried to apologize to Fer for a misunderstanding, but Fer insulted her an threw her out. Blanca overhears this and corrects the record: Cam and Mariana got Fer sent to prison for 10 years by lying on behalf of Luis. Carlos looks crushed. the train just left the station for any hop Cam had with Carlos.

We're back at Fer's shop where Isy throws more insults and finally finds out that they're both jailbirds and Isy is advised by Fer to get out while she's still on her feet.

Amelia and Pedro are having a heated discussion about how he is treating Fer and Carlos. Amelia begs him not to repeat the same errors that they lived through and which ruined their lives. "Live and let live, Pedro," she advises.

Carlos walks into Fer's shop and wants to know why she didn't tell him she got railroaded into jail?!? Her defense is weak. Carlos tells her the one who should be in jail is Luis, not her.

Mariana and Hernan are in his office decrying their situation when Cam walks in. Hernan wants to know if she smooth things out with Carlos (Jeez, will this guy never quit??) when Cam tells them that things will never be ok wi Carlos because he now knows that Fer got sent unjustly to the big house because of them.

Carlos and Fer are still in her shop and Carlos is devastated knowing he failed Fer so badly. She says it wasn't so bad, but she flashed back to a knife fight. She says she matured and learned a lot. Carlos holds her face and says had he known, he never would have let her go to prison. NEVER>

David

Un Camina July 6 Part III

Marissa visits Pedro to apologize for Carlos' attitude (I'm thinking there's plenty of blame to go around here), and the conversion soon turns to Pedrito. Marissa explains that she saw him earlier, and he reminded her so much of Carlos at that age - the same eyes, the same smile, etc. Pedro looks shaken.

Back at Fer's shop, Fer says that thanks to God and Flip she got out. I'm not buying that. For me Flip has been about as useful as______________ on a ______________(insert your favorite words here). Carlos didn't know Flip was back and wonders why he didn't tell him about the problem. Fer says because she told him not to, and the lawyer-client relationship is sacred. Besides, says Fer, we would have broken up anyway. NUNCA says Carlos. We're more together than ever. Oh, and by the way, if you were in prison of two years, when did you have time to get knocked up???

Tell me when you got married with Javier, and when the child was born. Fer refuses. Just then Pedro walks in with some flores and wants to know what Carlos is doing there.

Carlos says he's tired of Pedro's BS and turns again to Fer demanding to know if this child is his. Fer demurs. Pedro tells him to get out. Carlos gently cradles Fer's face and says this isn't over yet.

Fer collapses against Pedro who tries to console her. It seems to me that his support is lacking something for her.

Marissa tells Isy that the child she held this morning was Carlos' child, not Javier's. Isa is like, No puede ser.

David

Un Camino July 6 Part IV

Carlos approaches Sister Rosauro and asks her - as a nun who can tell no lies- what she knows of the situation with Fer and Javier. She states that Fer and Javier are not married. However, she declines to tell Carlos that Pedrito is his son.

Isy and Marissa are in Marissa's living room, and Marissa is telling Isy all the reasons she believes that Pedrito is her nieto. Isa is destroyed by this, but Marissa says, "How can I ignore these feelings?" BUT, Marissa says, since Fer is married to Javier, this should pose no problem to Isy.

In the last scene, Luis and Lolorzana are plotting how they will get out of the fix they are in when in walks Lupe and Orozano with Luis' trusted (and very cute) secretary objecting and trying to keep them out.

It turns out that Lupe - the former personal helper for Marissa, is now her personal assistant at the bank. It seems that the cute secretary is out on her butt and Lupe will occupy her position while Carlos becomes el presidente del banco.

Luis looks like he got hit in the face with a cast iron frying pan.

David

Ugh, once again please forgive the typos. I don't know why things look okay at one AM, but look so bad at eight AM. As always please correct or add to anything I have missed or got wrong.

David

David thank you for your wry wit including "Carlos visits don Fer and is given an oily phony greeting by Hernan and Mariana" and "For me Flip has been about as useful as______________ on a ______________(insert your favorite words here)". Simply great.

Your recap was terrific - thank you.

"Fer collapses against Pedro who tries to console her. It seems to me that his support is lacking something for her". I readily admit, a switch turned on for me last night and I realized with a start that I am starting to detest Pedro. Here is his beautiful, heartbroken daughter looking to him for consolation and all he can do is continue to cloak himself in his righteous indignation over all of Carlos' supposed issues. There is only one issue. He is Luis' stepson and Pedro's pride cannot take it that anyone associated with him would dare to take his daughter away. It was truly sickening.

Pedro ignored Marissa when she needed him most. And I thought, upon seeing her weakened physical condition, he looked at her with a tiny bit of revulsion. I don't think I imagined that. Am I wrong??

Who would have thought it would be Cam who would spill the beans about Fer's jail time? While it's not for me to say whether Fer can or should ever forgive her, at least she finally told the truth here. Blanca apparently got a free pass for failing to tell Carlos (fine with me as she is a favorite)...

Marissa is right to follow her instincts in that Pedrito is her grandchild. I so enjoyed Isy's crumbling under that realization.

At least the Sister told Carlos Fer isn't married. I wish Fernanda had told him the truth!

Pedro can run interference all he wants but there will come a time soon that all will be revealed and Carlos and Fernanda will be together. I am anxious to see how this fractured family (Pedro, Amelia and Marissa included) will be able to come together.

David, thank you!

Diana

You're a natural David. Thanks

"Her defense is weak"

I thought the exchanges between Carlos and Fernanda and Carlos and Rosauro well done. Only a few accusatory remarks (I understand) but mostly you could feel his desperation behind the frustration. Props to Carlos

Carlos immediately believed Fernanda married Javier because he "knocked" her up. Carlos intended to marry Fernanda because they had sex and he believes marriage in both cases the respectful thing to do. Carlos had sex with Isabela and the assumption was to marry her until he met the schoolgirl. When Isabela told him she was pregnant he absolutely refused to marry her even if it was proved he was the father. You confuse me Carlos.

I'm not so sure Carlos being the stepson of Luis the real problem for Pedro. I think it's more about possession. Fernanda and her adoration (under duress now for sure) is all Pedro has and he's hell bent on keeping her. Carlos provides real competition. If Fernanda is with Carlos, Pedro becomes number three in the pecking order. Her son, Carlos and then Frustrated non bio Dad. Usually we see an overprotective, sickly clingy, meddling mother of a son and here we've got an overprotective, sickly clingy, meddling Pedro. Pedro is one sick puppy.

Finally Blanca opens her mouth. Didn't need Fernando, didn't need Carlos. If Blanca had told the judge what she told Carlos, Fernanda would not have gone to prison.

Thank you, David! My captions weren't so great last night and there were parts I didn't quite understand, so I especially appreciate your great recap! Plus I was laughing so hard at Camila's bat purse that I missed everything they were saying in that scene.

Pedro has ISSUES. Ugh, he is annoying me the most right now, for the same reasons many of you are finding. At least Louse and Meanie own their evil.

Marissa KNEW. I loved it. I also like that she's working on getting the bank back. She's coming back strong!

Carlos - I like the newfound attitude, that he remembered how to do math, and that he knew it wasn't the time to take Pedro's dumb fight bait in the flower shop. I really liked that he told Pedro to butt out and that he and Fer were adults. Now if Fer would only act like one and tell Carlos he's the daddy, and if Carlos would just wash his hair.

Interesting convo above about Daniel Arenas character in CI - that guy was totally spoiled but also just a box of hair. Carlos has nice hair as well (when he washes it) but luckily he has a brain and some decency so that's good. I see your point, Tofie, he's kind of a hypocrite when it came to a pregnancy scare with Isy. Although maybe that is explained as he is smart enough to know Isy might lie about something like that. In any event, he's a little more complex than the usual hero-type galan, but still a hero, so that's good in my book.

My entire comment disappeared...ugh!

Highlights were. Isy and Fer's convo that he didn't say that last night had me pressing pause and laughing for about 10minutes. Oh that was funny. Cami telling Mariana she's going to be in a cell with her doing her hair and singing kumbaya in the prison band (ok i made that part up) funny too!

Carlos doing the math but asking when in the hell did you get knocked up? Really? LOL!

Marissa and her grandbaby and her reminiscing about holding him were too cute.

Thanks David for the great recap last night was pure comedy for me...except for Pedro. How they've made me dislike him is maddening but pretty damn brilliant!

Oh how could i forget Isy losing it and lil Pedro being Carlos? Oh how delicious it was to watch that meltdown.

Hi, Diana, tofie, dy and Kendra. Thank you all for your kind words.

Yes, Diana, the road to a happy family will be long and tortured.

tofie, hate to disagree with you, but I am anything but a natural. I sweat bullets trying to decide what to include and what can be left out without damaging the story line.

dy, I can't figure out what goes on with the CC's. Mine were fine last night. I don't understand why there could be such a difference.

Kendra, I hate it when comments disappear; that is so frustrating. Like you I REALLY enjoyed Isy's meltdown.

So we're all agreed that Pedro is a monumental jerk?!

I would think that as an M.D., if Carlos could find out a date of birth for Pedrito he would know what is going on.

I just loved the look on Isy's face as Marissa told her that Pedrito is her grandson.

Thanks again for all of your insightful and kind comments.

David

David this recap was so wonderful! I savored every morsel. You really captured Pedro's pathetic behavior. He really comes off as quite cold when it comes to Fer's broken heart over Carlos. I don't know how Pedro lives with himself knowing how much Fer loves Carlos, that they have a child together and worst that she sat in prison for 2 years, thinking (with Pedro's help) that Carlos had abandoned her. It's so unforgivable! Die Pedro!

I really loved Amelia giving him a bit of truth though. It was time Pedro heard about his unhealthy hate for Carlos. Pedro has had a longstanding obsession with Amelia, Luis, Fernanda and now Carlos..I think soon it will be Pedrito if he is not stopped.

Marissa was so cool last night. The woman knows how to handle a situation with such stealth precision and all while not mussing up her hair or makeup. No meltdown, no screaming or whining. She just shows up to the flower shop and in a soft smooth as butter way, gets all the intel she needs, charming the pants off her grandson too! Precious seeing her with Pedrito. The call of the blood! Pedrito seemed taken with Grandma!

My heart broke for Carlos..and I love that Rosaura took some compassion on him. He was right when he said that Pedro seems to think it's his place to insinuate himself in everything and doesn't allow any breathing room for he and Fer to talk. Helicopter Pedro!

Cami..pfft. It's too little too late. Fer needed you to speak up 2 years ago. Go touch up your roots!

I love Blanca!

Delilah: Let me guess, Camila CHICKENED OUT again ?

Thank you, Delilah.

Yeah, our Pedro has some growing up to do. I hadn't even considered that his obsession might spill over to Pedrito, but who know? I suspect, however, that if that ever happens in will be curtains for any relationship between Fer and Pedro. I think she will defend that little boy to the death both because she loves him insanely, and because she loves his father.

Hi, Steve.

David

I really hate Pedro. He's always hating on Carlos and thinks Luis is his "father" when he's his STEPfather, and if he hadn't interrupted Carlos and fernanda's conversation, she probably would have told Carlos the truth, but noooo, stupid annoying Pedro has to ruin it all. He even had the damn nerve to complain about Carlos to marissa. He's worse than Amelia was earlier, and I'm glad Amelia told Pedro off telling him to live and let live. The damn jerk deserved it. I'm glad that Rosaura told Carlos that fernanda and Javier weren't married, about time he learned the truth. I can't wait to see the dogfight between him and Luis over what he did to fernanda. I hope sooner or later Carlos has the guts to stand up to Pedro and punch his teeth out.

Episode #89 Thursday, July 7, 2016: Part 1

Some scenes combined for convenience. Also, it's my birthday so this may be a little shorter since I was a little distracted by celebrating.

- 1st scene is a repeat of last episode's scene with Isabella reacting negatively to Marissa's guess that Pedrito is her grandson.

- Luis continues to deny what Iggy is telling him about the bank power restructuring. He reiterates that Marissa granted him the presidency of the bank.

- Uh OH. Diego has a new class of new schoolgirls and he eyes them all creepily, with his beady eyes settling in on one teen redhead who is google-eyed at him.

- Fer confronts Rosaura about Rosaura's conversation with Carlos. She's actually pretty mad! Or as my notes put it, "Fer is still being a brat." Rosaura holds her ground and says that she did what she thought was best. She thinks Carlos loves Fernanda and should know he's the baby's father.

- Carlos is eating breakfast on his patio with a lovely pitcher of orange juice. Luis comes in to talk to him about the bank situation and pretends to come at it from a friendly angle. Carlos can tell that Luis is scamming him. Luis says that Marissa is on his side.

- As the notes put it, "Fer brats on," and I was actually shocked at how much she whined about Carlos. It was Carlos-level whining! She is mad about the time she called Carlos and got lying Isabella instead. She won't forgive Carlos for that. Poor Rosaura is all TELL THE TRUTH and says that enough Isabella, enough Javier, everyone needs to tell the truth. GO ROSAURA. Fer's response is well, Pedro told me... and Rosaura thankfully shuts that down and urges Fer to talk to Carlos.

- Luis is still trying to "share" the presidency with Carlos. Carlos thinks that's a scam of course. Luis spots Marissa coming up on the patio and starts to lay it on thick. That just irks Carlos more and he swears to Luis that he could kill him. Such horrible phrasing upsets Marissa and she tells Carlos he's not a killer so please don't use those words. Carlos accuses Luis of various banking misdeed, and Luis continues to lay it on thick for Marissa about how he and Carlos could share being bank president. Marissa is unimpressed. She wants Carlos to learn how to be bank president and make those decisions for himself. (I confess, I don't have the spanish to fully understand the bank talk, so if I miss things, please fill them in!)

- Fer plays violin for Pedrito in the field. She thinks to herself how much Pedrito looks like Carlos. Then she remembers her conversation with Rosaura and Rosaura believes Carlos.

- Isabella joins the patio party and defends Carlos and Marissa to Luis. Luis continues to go for sharing the presidency. Marissa is done. She wants Carlos trained for the presidency and that's that. All depart and leave Luis alone on the patio scowling and calling them malditos.

- Marissa dictates a letter to Lupe in her room, when Luis barges in and starts up again, saying he has good intentions. Marissa reminds him she knows what she's doing. She tells him she's planning a PR event to announce she's back and banking. Luis tries to tell her to worry about her health, but she is not interested. He gives up and leaves.

Episode #89 Thursday, July 7, 2016: Part 2

- Iggy and Carlos have lunch with Velez, a bank employee (?) who has kept Iggy in the loop the past two years about the bank's increasing problems. Velez has evidence of phony businesses and other banking misdeeds. Carlos says he'll put Luis in jail if he doesn't kill him with his bare hands. Oy. Of course Luis' henchman Ismael comes in right then and overhears the parts he shouldn't have heard.

- OMG this scene. Camila is in her bedroom the next morning, naked in bed with her boyfriend Vladmir, who she urges to leave before her parents wake up. Vladmir quite rightly wonders if she loves him or she loves the way she can annoy her parents by dating him. Of course Hernan comes in and catches them and goes ballistic.

- BUT OMG THIS SCENE NEXT. Ismael and Luis are going to the bank, when a car drives up and we see a man extend a gun out the window and shoot Luis several times!!!! He collapses to the ground.

- Carlos has gone to visit Don Fernando, but he's greeted by Mariana. So he takes a moment to defend Fer, and call out Mariana for lying to the court about Fer, and also for messing with Don Fernando's meds. She threatens to refuse Carlos access to the house and Don Fer, but he reminds her he is Don Fer's friend and he owns the house. Of course Fernanda enters then.

- Back to Luis! Several minutes have passed, and no one called 911 or the cops. (!! But it was Luis, so.) Ismael tells the security guards to chase the car and then he has to call 911 himself. Ismael pleads with Luis to live. Aw, Luis has an actual friend!

- At the hospital, Luis is wheeled into the OR. He lost a lot of blood in the ambulance. Ismael is besides himself and loudly vows to the secretary that he will make the shooter pay. Iggy arrives and is confused by what happened.

- Fernanda asks Mariana to publicly retract what she said about Fer that got Fer convicted. Mariana scoffs. Carlos backs Fer up. They are all interrupted by Hernan throwing out Vladimir and yelling wildly at Camila. All are agape at that situation. It's made worse when Camila tries to defend herself and Hernan slaps her silly. Fer and Carlos go to intervene in the situation. Carlos tells Hernan not to hit his daughter and that he's gone loco. Fer runs after Camila, who has escaped the room.

Episode #89 Thursday, July 7, 2016: Part 3

- Marissa visits Pedro. Ugh, I was hoping for a Pedro-free episode for my birthday. She tells Pedro she's worried about personal problems, and he is stupid and replies he didn't think people like her had problems. She stupidly replies that she thought poor people were happier. As they converse some more, she tells Pedro that Carlos threatened to kill Luis for the bank issues. UGH WHY MARISSA. Thankfully, my real life kids interrupted this scene for some more birthday celebrating so I don't know what else they conversed about, but whatever it was was witnessed by Amelia and she looked pretty jealous.

- Carlos finally visits with Don Fernando and they talk adjusting the treatment. Don Fernando is eager to remember more. Clarita calls Carlos to tell him about Luis, so he has to leave.

- Fer and Camila sit by that awesome fountain in the house and talk. Isabella comes in, looking for Carlos, and we go into part two of the fight from yesterday.

- Carlos arrives at the hospital and Ismael immediately tells the cops who are there to investigate what he heard at the restaurant. He urges the cops to arrest Carlos, and being telenovela police detectives, they get right on that and tell Carlos he will have to go with them to the station. Carlos resists, but the cops mean it.

- Luis goes under the knife and I can't watch because bloody operating room scenes gross me out. They got some bullets out, I think.

- Mariana walks in on the budding catfight by the fountain and tells Camila she must get out now. Isabella laughs at Fer and Cam. Freeze frame ending on Fer looking all shocked at Mariana.

Avances: Fer and Isabella go for round 3 while Carlos is in jail hell watching.

Ha a appy birthday to you! at the birthday dy!!! What a blessing girl. Thank you for recaping this messy episode. You
Done good while celebrating your birthday. I think maybe that carlos has been royally set up. They are doing the same
Thing to him that mariana and the gang did to fer. Now they have something in commen. Little pedtto's mon amd dad are jailbirds. That love each other. Yaaaaah!!! Wow what people have to go through for love!!!

Herny is a crook. Actin like hes so distrought, "you try to teach your children to do the right thing", lying liar. He tought her to prostute herself to take carlos from fernanda. I kinda hope fer forgives her. The poor girl has nobody. Maybe fer will Be merciful. Somebody needs to be in this story. If the leech and his co-hort didn't set this up this Is someone who they bamboozeld out of some money. The arm that held the gun was wearing a suit. Carlos has an aliby, he was visiting Don fer. What a mess.

"UGH WHY MARISSA" my thoughts exactly dy and thanks for giving us this treat.

Pedro may have two women fighting for him, what is this TN coming to?

I don't feel sorry for Camila one bit. Hernan slapped her, Fernanda had to defend herself from a knife attack.

So our sinister perv Diego has a system for catching young prey and no one suspects. Much more troubling than Luis and Mariana whom are known.

Hey, dy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And thanks for taking time out from your celebrations to give us this gem.

So they're going to use the common phrase "I'll kill him" against Carlos. And, of course the truth tellers will admit to it, I guess.

I am a terrible shot with a pistol, but I believe that from that distance, even I could have killed Luis.

I think the shooter is left handed?

The scene that you missed with Pedro, Amelia and Marissa was Marissa was getting up from a chair, lost her balance, and fell forward into Pedro's arms. Amelia walked in at that point, and apparently to her it looked a lot like they were embracing.

I don't know what karma the writers have in store for Isy. She is a liar and a manipulator, but other than that she hasn't stolen or murdered anyone. She is just so annoyingly persistent.

Fer seemed to suddenly see the hell that former friend Camila has lived in, and may have some empathy for her. Also, when she barged into the hacienda, she confronted Mariana, not Camila, so I think she has a pretty good handle on how the stuff flows in that household.

Hernan hitting Cam...what can I say? Guys hitting girls piss me off.

I wonder how many other girls Diego has padlocked in apartments around town? That red headed student better review her notes from religion class, and tread very carefully.

Thanks again, dy. Great job.

David

dy77, happy, happy birthday!

It's you who gifted us with this great present. Wonderful, all the way around.

"Fer brats on," "I was actually shocked at how much she whined about Carlos. It was Carlos-level whining!" and "Ugh, I was hoping for a Pedro-free episode for my birthday" were among many favorites.

The scene with Marissa and Pedro was awkward on so many levels. There was a momentary glimpse where she seemed to swoon a bit (literally and figuratively). Pedro just looked like a deer caught in the headlights. He is clearly emotionally stunted as he is unable to deal with either Marissa or Amelia in an adult way. He just looks utterly confused.

I am upset with myself. While I really loathe Pedro, Amelia's tears got to me. I keep thinking is there a way this broken family can actually heal and come back together?? So much hurt, anger and angst. I know Fer and Carlos will have a happy ending but will anyone else?

I had no sympathy for Cam. I know I'm showing my age but her hair is so distracting, I keep seeing Yvonne DeCarlo's Lily Munster hair in my mind. How kind of Fer to treat her friend with a respect and kindness that was never reciprocated.

"I wonder how many other girls Diego has padlocked in apartments around town?" Oh David, well put. the thought makes my heart sink.

So who shot Luis? Let’s see. I believe the arm with the gun had a dress shirt, buttons and cufflinks. Now, who fits that bill? As clearly there was no T shirt in the shot, we can eliminate Pedro. It doesn’t fit Hernan’s style, nor Carlos or Jav. It was a little flashy for Ignacio whom I don’t believe is a murderer…Such stylish apparel does not appear to be the norm for most of our stylish (and not so stylish) characters.

tofie, "Pedro may have two women fighting for him, what is this TN coming to?" made me laugh. Great.

Nina, your astute observation that now Fer and Carlos share(d) a common experience - jail. Let's hope Carlos doesn't languish as long as Fer did.

dy77, enjoy your day! May this be the first day of a great year.

Diana

Thank you all for the nice words and wishes! This was a messy episode for sure.

David, thanks for filling in my blanks! I do foresee an Amelia/Pedro/Marissa triangle. Ugh. Marissa can do better.

Diana, I'm giggling at Lily Munster hair! It is completely that.

Tofie, I agree, this was a total setup to frame Carlos.

I also wondered though, if that Leo (I think that's his name, Luis' friend who was hauled off to jail) somehow got out of jail and did it. If he did, then it was revenge on Luis rather than a frame Carlos plot. Hmmm.

With so many evil characters, Diego is by far the most predatory. I really hope he gets an anvil and it can't be soon enough for me.

dy77, I didn't think of Leo. An intriguing idea.

And yes, Diego is so monstrous, even Luis pales in comparison...

Oh and I have family coming today so won't be able to watch tonight (drat). I hope to catch up late Sunday.

Have a wonderful weekend all.

Diana

One more inconsequential thing.

I am not a fan of lace, but I loved Fernanda's rose colored dress with the lace sleeves. It's so nice seeing her without those tired looking jeans and worn shirts...

Diana

dy77, Happy birthday!

That was an action-packed episode, and you captured it perfectly.

I sure hope that Leo wasn't the one who pulled the trigger. I'd like to see Andrea and Leo come back for the final episode with a couple of babies in tow.

I'm thinking Ismael hired a hit man; a sneaky look came over Ismael's face when he overheard Carlos's ranting at the restaurant. I don't know what he has to gain from this, though. If Luis dies, he won't be getting his retirement money.

Sister Rosaura should have fired Diego a long time ago, and without a letter of recommendation. Hopefully, she'll be watching him like a hawk.

dy - Happy Birthday! Thanks for giving us this awesome recap on your special day.

The only bright spot was Luis getting shot although it was clearly staged. Other than that...eh!

It was just too easy. His friend is cracking up at Carlos saying that he wants to kill Luis (not that concerned friend whose friend got shot and was begging people to call an ambulance - Please not my friend). Why weren't you concerned when you heard Carlos say he was going to kill him at the restaurant?

This TN plays very loosely with accusations and evidence. At the very least, manufacture the evidence so that it looks good. None of these cases look good.

I'm not happy that Cami was slapped by her father, but she did need to be slapped (sorry for the violence statement, but she what she did...)

Pedro, the 40 year old virgin, needs to get some so he can stop being frustrated. Everyone has had sex except him and his sister (then again, maybe she has). All that pressure is going to his head and he needs to release it.

What were the writers thinkin with that creepy storyline with diego being the creepy school teacher? Luis don't creep
Me out as much as diego, and luoy is slimmy. And proud of it. Don't try to hide it either. Poor lucero. Isn't she thinkin
About an escape plan? At all? People shouldn't send their daughters to that. Im surprised her mother hadn't looked into her son-inlaws past. Where was he before he got here. This is her daughter, shouldn't she care more than that? To
Just let her go? And where is her father? Dead or devorced? Still, my daughter marrys her high school teacher, I'd have
To do some checkin out this guy.

Louys sidekick may have plotted against him, carlos not being able to controll his anger plays right into his hands. We
Will see what happens tonight. And who really drove by and shot the slimmy leech.

Happy belated birthday dy! I hope it was a good one for you and you even did a recap, wow! I tell ya, Marissa should have stayed in that coma. Her mouth got away from her and now she's spilling Carlos bizness to that metiche vieja Pedro. How messy Marissa! Speaking of messy....Cami having hot tamale time with her boyfriend in her bedroom. Aye aye!

Oh Luis, if ever anyone deserved that drive by it was you! Pity it probably won't change him.

Why if Fer so cross with Rosaura for telling Carlos the truth? Did she really think that a woman of faith, someone who took vows would lie point blank to Carlos face? She has Rosaura confused with Pedro who has no problem lying to Carlos about everything.

Creepy Prof already looking for his next victim to abduct.

I'll have tonights recap up late tonight!

Friday 7/8/16 Part I

Friday’s sad tale begins with Carlos being asked to go to the station for questioning. As if he would have any reason to want Louse Money-hungry-Montero dead. No…not our galan! Ordonez the most loyal lawyer who ever lawyered steps up at the ready to represent. Why he’s been a faithful friend to the owner of the bank for many years. Meanwhile the lousey louse’s faithful wife, traipses…er hobbles across and out of Pedro’s grassy swale (dude really? You couldn’t find a smoother path?) where they have supposedly seen some rare orchid that a rich client gave Pedro. I immediately bristle that Pedro has to mention that the client was “wealthy” This guy is obsessed with people and their financial status. Anyway, the 1960’s rotary phone in Marissa’s purse goes off and she answers it to hear Carlos notifying her that Louse has been in an accident. Javier who has just dropped by offers to drive her. Pedro offers his best wishes, but then thinks to himself that if ever there was someone he would be happy to see dead it’s Louse. I think if I could wish one person in this TN dead it would be pushy possessive Pedro.

Amelia who is being chauffeured in route to where, we don’t know has obviously been told because she thinks to herself that Louse has reaped what he’s sown. As his life hangs in the balance, he is alone with no one who cares about him or to be with him.She spent best years of her life loving and crying over him and now she could care less.

Back at the hospital, Ordonez begins defending Carlos rights to the officer.Unless you have probable cause dude, back it up. My client goes nowhere to talk with no one. Marissa comes upon the situation and she wants to know what accident Louse had Slimeorzano tells her Oh it wasn’t an accident ma’am, someone tried to kill your husband. His direct and accusatory look at Carlos tells Marissa exactly who he thinks did it.

Don Fer who has remembered the hip part of his closet, is in a pleather jacket. He is fed up with all the drama of the day, Cami and now Louse…he decides to retire to his study to read. Hernan comes in inquiring about the whereabouts of his daughter and Meanie lies accusing Fernanda of causing trouble by taking Cami to her house. Blanca says yup, Why the nerve of the girl who was thrown in prison taking her accuser home with her! Fer must be crazy she came here to get her name cleared and ends up taking your lying no good two -toned tacky tresses tramp of a daughter home with her. What is this world coming to?

Friday 7/8/16 Part II

Ordonez tells Marissa Louse is being operated on and Solorzano makes his accusation against Carlos.

Fernanda who is much kinder than I offers Camzilla some tea. She wonders if Fer has forgiven her, but Fers says all she’s doing is offering her a place to stay because she doesn’t want her homeless. Pedro and Rosaura come in and find Cam there and says ..Awww hell nawww…get out of my house now. This is one time I agree with Pedro.
Dr. Artaega tells Marissa that Louse was shot three times…his wounds are serious an he may not live. We in viewerville ask, You promise Doctor? Carlos is immediately concerned for his mother and her health. She assures him she’s fine, but is worried because of the threat he made. You think I did this? Of course not but the fact that you threatened him, makes others suspicious. Carlos reiterates that he didn’t do it, but neither does he feel bad for Louse. Like Amelia, Carlos think Louse got what he deserved. He takes his mother with him to his office.

Pedro rails at his daughter for daring to bring this girl into his house. Well she doesn’t have anywhere to go? So.. that’s not our problem and if she got kicked out of her house, it’s because she’s not a good person. Rosaura gently sides with Pedro, this girl has hurt you so much Fernanda. What she did is unforgivable (hmm this from a nun who believes in a GOD who forgives all who repent) Rosaura cautions her niece, Camilla may hurt you again. Cami cries….they have no idea how sorry she is for everything.

Meanie is going crazy wondering about Luis, no one in the hospital answers her; but Baldy is concerned for their daughter. Tut tut..Your daughter. Hernan gets it..she’s Meanie’s stepdaughter when it’s beneficial to you. Well you’re coming with me to that bastards house to get her back he warns. Because if you don’t she might sink you by confessing what you made her do. Meanie doesn’t think Camzilla would dare to become her enemy and besides she has to wait until she hears about Luis. Blanca comes in and says uh..no black dress just yet, bad seeds never die.

Fer wonders why her father challenges her on everything (now it’s an issue?) Pedro says well this girl isn’t your friend. Cami understands they all hate her and she offers to go, but Fer says to just go to her room. She then recounts the sordid scene back at AltaManor. Rosuara realizes then that her niece is even more altruistic than her. May God bless her for her great and kind heart. Pedro isn’t budging and Rosaura tells him Fer is just like him ( Oh please Rosaura don’t push it) Fer nudges her Dad to give Cami a helping hand. Anyway Luis Montero is in the hospital. Yeah I know Pedro says, funny about life, the bigger the fortune, the bigger the problems. Oh stfu Pedro. You reverse snob.

Friday 7/8/16 Part III

Carlos regrets that his mom was affected by his argument with Louse but he did not shoot Louse. She knows but that doesn’t change that outside a man is accusing him. Well he only cares what she thinks. Marissa is his mother and she loves him and always believes him but it doesn’t change that everything is against him right now.

Cami thinks it’s best to move in with Vladi. He lives in a one room tenement but it’s better than causing Fer problems. Well Fer says she’ll handle it, what she wonders is how old Baldy must have looked when he came in and saw Cami in the sack with her boyfriend. Cami thought her dad was going to kill her boyfriend. Javier comes by to tell her that Carlos has been accused of trying to kill Louse. He looks incredulous to see Cami there, but says nothing about it.

Izzy who has to be everywhere Carlos is, wonders if Marissa is calmer now knowing that Carlos didn’t order the hit. Marissa knows her son wouldn’t do such a thing. Carlos knows whoever did this was trying to throw him off discovering the shady business practices. Oh wait a minute now Slimeozano says, the only one with dirty business here is you and your hired killers. Dr Artaega comes in to say that Louse has lost too much blood, they gave him a transfusion but it’s getting more complicated because the doctors have to go on and complete the surgery.

Well Carlos wouldn’t kill anyone! Fer says defending the man she loves. Javier says the police think so because the two were in a fight over the bank and some think Carlos put out a hit on Luis. Fer knows Carlos is innocent; So what if he threatened Louse it had to be someone else but who would want to do such a thing? Fer obviously has no idea what an ass her bio father is. Javier ever the perfect, says we must be careful what we say and how we say it. Oh really Javier? Well here…I wish you would eat worms with Pedro right now. Was that careful enough? #IHatePedroandJavier

Ordonez urges the woman who is hanging around (Louse secretary?) to go back to the office. Medina comes in with the order to arrest Carlos. Chaos erupts as Marissa forbids them to take her son and especially not in handcuffs. Ordonez reminds them he’s a doctor with a good standing rep in that hospital. They allow Carlos to go on his own, but not before he calms a hysterical Marissa down. He asks for Issy to watch over her and for Ordonez to keep her away from the police station. Marissa however is more concerned for her son, she wants Ordonez at the station with her son. She gives a death stare to Solorzano.

Fer continues to defend Carlos, it’s preposterous to think Carlos would kill Louse and especially not over his inheritance. Vladi who obviously found Fer’s place comes to get his girl. He shows good manners introducing himself. Cami wants to move in with him. He’s not sure, it’s just a one room place. The kid has some maturity because he urges Cami to fix things with her Dad. No way, she says. She wants to go for a coffee and talk privately. Well I’m broke. Javier offers up some $$’s and they accept offering to pay the doc back. Cami says she won’t be able to repay Fer for all she’s done. You got that right Camzilla.

Issy has decided she must be with Carlos and leaves Marissa to go to the station. On her way out she pauses just long enough to warn Slimeorzano to realize what he’s doing and back off. Marissa coolly tells him they need to talk.

Medina wants to formally arrest Carlos and keep him over night. Carlos wants to be with his mother who is ill. Too bad. Ordonez says there’s no reason because his client didn’t do it. Well then you’ve got nothing to worry about, the judge will hear his case in the morning and set bail..he pays it and then he can go home. At least until the trial starts.

Friday 7/8/16 part IV

Javier informs Fer that Maribel will resume her klepto therapy again, we see flashbacks of Maribel talking about it with Javier. Fer thanks Javier for helping her friend. Just then Clarita comes running to urgently inform Fer of Carlos arrest. Baldy shows up too, looking for Cami.

At the coffee shop Cami and Vlad have orange juice as they discuss her dad and their issues. Vlad says make up with your Daddy because I can’t support you. Well I can work. As what? You quit school. Uh..dude you do what again? Anyway..Cami says no way, My dad slapped me and humiliated you. Vlad who has some sense in his head says well he caught you in bed with me, how did you expect him to react?

Hernan yells all around the yard for Camilla. Fer tells him to calm down and Hernan begins to get physical, prompting Javier to jump in. Hernan doesn’t believe his daughter is not there. Don’t lie to me esquincla (brat). I’m not leaving here without my daughter. She left now get out of here. You don’t tell me what to do, you’re nobody. Wrong, this is my house I’m the owner now get out of here, Fer says. Hernan threatens and Javier gets physical, but in time Camzilla and Vlad show up. Stop embarrassing me Dad!

Down at the same handprint coffee shop the hit men tell their boss they’re sorry for being late but as ordered they were getting rid of the evidence. Well is he dead? After three bullets what do you think? Here’s the money we arranged says a bearded Leo who tackles a tasty looking taquito. It’s time that Luis Montero die for what he did.

Hernan has the audacity to demand he speak with Cam in private. Fer says sure, but not on my property. Hernan advances threateningly but Fer stands her ground. Hernan approaches his daughter and now Vlad gets protective but Hernan just moves him aside yanking Cami with him.

Carlos now behind bars regrets letting his hate of Luis get the better of him. Hes going to rot in here if the real culprit isn’t found. Suddenly he hears the soft voice of an angel behind him. It’s Fer. How did she know he was here? I wonder the same thing, says the Izzy spider who is suddenly there too. These two can’t catch a break can they? First Pedro and now Izzy. Izzy demands an answer. Yeah I heard you I’m not deaf, just stop yelling Fer says. Izzy whines about all she and Carlos endured in the USA. And what about what she did for his mother? Carlos accuses her of throwing that in his face. Fer has no right there. Well too bad I’m here and not you or anybody is going to stop me. Got it girl? Good! *snap-snap* Now that’s the spunky gal we all know and love!

Cami wonders how she got to this point with her father who she adored and was once her hero. Hernan asks if he isn’t anymore? Well not when you disregard my feeling and make me go against my bestie. Hernan reminds her that she is an adult and as responsible as he and Meanie. Now she wants to rebel with that hair and makeup and go back to sleeping with that no good boyfriend. Cami takes offense at him insulting Vlad. Her dad is an ignorant who knows nothing. Hernan appears ready to strike Cami again.

Fer and Izzy continue to argue, Izzy demands she leave. Fer says no one is leaving except Izzy and if she doesn’t then Fer will drag her. Knowing what’s good for her,Izzy leaves. Finally alone, Fer pledges to Carlos that she will stand in his corner and everything will be alright all he has to do is tell that judge the truth in the morning. Carlos needs to believe in her. Fer assures him tomorrow he will be out.

Friday 7/8/16 Part V

Blanca brings Don Fer the new pills Carlos brought him. Hopefully they help him get better and recover his memory. Well maybe it’s better to live unaware. Blanca wonders why? Because this is a nut house! Since I’ve been here it’s been pure nonsense. Blanca assures him it’s not always this way. He’s been working and he found his will, it says his only heiress is Meanie. Why would I do that? Why not to my other daughter or you who has cared for me? Blanca looks at it and concludes it’s wrong, he’d never sign this. He was deceived.

Hernan catches up to Cami, he wants them to go home and work things out. Cami has heard it before, but all her father wants is obedience. Pedro comes upon them and Hernan hurls insults at Pedro accusing him of letting his daughter shack up with a freeloader at his house. Pedro tells him to shut it, he did no such thing. Hernan the drama queen says you gave her diplomatic asylum.

Blanca is sure this is a fraud, Don Fer was never mean and he’d never leave his granddaughter out of his will. In fact he wanted to leave her everything! Boy I need to get my memory back..who would have me sign such a thing? Blanca doesn’t know (yeah right) but it was probably just bad advice from his lawyer Luis Montero. Well Don Fer will talk with him about it if he survives the shooting.

Maribel chows down on some tacos that “Peter” made. Javier shows up to ask Fer on a date.Fer politely declines and pushy Pedro insists that he and Maribel can handle the shop and suppliers.

Suddenly there’s rustling in the distance, footsteps are heard through the trees and then…Malquerida! “Fernanda! Friend! Perez….you don’t know how much I’ve missed you!” She sits down at the table to collectively shocked faces.

Leo’s friends are appreciate of the dollars but it wasn’t necessary. This is the kind of work they do for mates from prison. Leo hushes them down. You guys took a risk and it was the best investment ever! Well that guy ruined your life, put you in prison and even when you got out he followed you everywhere. Leo bitterly remembers how Luis destroyed his personal life, to the point of where he is now. Well don’t worry we got rid of the car. Leo tells his buds to scram so he can wait to hear how Luis died and then toast to it. Cheers! See ya boss.

Ordonez breaks the bad news to Marissa, Carlos has to spend a night in jail. Artaega comes to tell Marissa that Louse is much better, the transfusion worked and he’s waking up from the anesthesia. Darn! But Marissa is happy.

Maribel and Fer wonder what Malquerida is doing there. I was released and so I came to see you guys. Didn’t ya’ll miss me? She reaches across and grabs the taco Maribel was enjoying. Maribel remembers that Mal was sentenced to 20 but it’s only been 5 years. She gasps suddenly…"No way…Did you escape?”

Fin

Oh my God, Delilah! Such a busy episode, and you covered it with such detail, and your signature snark!

Well, I guess we all knew that Carlos was going to the pokey, at least for a while, what with him shooting his mouth off about wanting to kill Louse.

Issy is such a pain in the butt. If I were Carlos, I would be angry with her because he left her in charge of taking care of his mother.

I don't know what kind of dementia don Fer has, but I would think that you might have good days and bad days, but the trajectory of the disease is ever downward. However for the sake of this tn plot, it is fine with me if the new pills make him better, and especially if he gets to the point of understanding what Mariana has done and throws her out as well as correcting his will. Oh, and this might be where someone can get Louse for legal malpractice.

Okay, how about this? Javier falls for Malquerida and they get married?

Fer's total goodness shines through this whole episode, but she has enough of a backbone to stand up to Issy. She is a class act, and is gaining maturity and strength from the things she has been put through.

LEO was behind the shooting?!? Jeez, who would have thought.

Gee, Delilah, you took all this stuff that happened and crafted such a wonderful recap. Thanks again.

David

Ditto with OMG, Delilah! Have to tell you all, reading the recaps before watching the episodes is a whole new experience. I haven't watched this episode yet, but it's sure to be a corker. La Malquerida shows up? Fer's house is becoming The House for Wayward Girls.

Leo? OMG II. Why? I wonder if he will do anything if he hears it's Carlos who got arrested. He is nothing to Carlos, but he is Luis' stepson and SizzyFrizz supposed girlfriend.

Can't tell you how happy I am to be home, sitting in front of my own computer, back with my Camino family.

So tofie (i think) was right! Damn Leo! I was like *gasp* it was Leo. Bravo for getting that right.

Delilah, that was so much fun to read. - taking your lying no good two -toned tacky tresses tramp of a daughter home with her. What is this world coming to?- oh that was my favorite part. Thanks for that.

That was a very busy episode. Javier came in like a lion...don't you touch Fer like it was instinct that he jumped on Hern so fast.

Hern was always verbally abusive but this is showing the physical side and it's just as bad as Diego. Is there a PSA forthcoming? A hotline number or something. Too many abusive men in this show. I didn't forget about Amelia and her abusive self either.

Im so glad Fer gave Isy the 'dont make me drag you by your hair' line and she stepped off. Im not sure how you don't see Carlos wants you not her because he made her leave not you nor did he take up for her but oh well.

Delilah, such a detailed, snark filled recap. All these happenings happenin. That detective seemed very determind to put carlos in the clink. Im so glad fer came to see her man (thats right frizzy izzy, fer's man not yours). Isy has no pride in herself. Shes comin off like a desperate female, just pathetic. I don't feel sorry for her at all.

I was shocked to see leo as the one behind the hit on "hot stuff louy". I really don't see the attraction, what in the world is going on with Melissa and Mariana. They love this poor excuse of a man. Why? Thank goodness amelia woke up out that fantasy nightmare.

Poor cami, she can't loose for loosin. A crazy ass daddy and a seemingly smart boyfriend. At least he's honest with her. He's got nothin to offer but an occasional booty call in his one-room apartment. Makeup with your daddy girl. At least going home with her dad she will have a place to live, until fernanda gets there and kick them out except for Grandpa and Blanca, and the cook.

Next eeek maybe we'll see carlos out on bail. maybe this will be incentive for Fernanda to spill it about little pedrito. We can only hope. she did something isy couldn't do, she actually gave him a child. and that actually scares her to death because once he finds out it's really over, her chances of being with Carlos caput. Thank you Delilah :-D

Nice! Thank you Delilah.

"Don Fer who has remembered the hip part of his closet"

Kendra, while I discussed Leo being behind the shooting with my friend down the street I don't believe I mentioned it here so cannot take credit. But, I knew it!

I like Javier and he would do anything for Fernanda, her family, friends and even Carlos. He was ready to beat down Hernan. His only crime is loving Fernanda.

I feel bad for Ordonez the smartest and most selfless person in the show. Guy has no life and no thanks and hope Marissa is paying him big bucks. Maybe he'll be appreciated when he whips out Fernando's legitimate will to save the day, again.

If Carlos and Fernanda were standing on opposite sides of the jailhouse bars it would still be she offering support and optimism.

Never understood it, instead of raging at Marissa for being in love and married to Luis, Pedro shows her a flower.

Cannot remember her name but whatever happened to the poor girl wasting away suffering with anorexia?

I remember that anorexic young woman, she was so sweet to pedro when he was in Nutsville, (and he's still there), She almost died. Thanks to her crazy parents she almost starved to death, but I think Javier went to get her mother and her mother came to her senses. so she would make a good match for Javier because she's a sweet girl and he's a really nice guy, of course they have to fall in love maybe a few months or a year after because he was her doctor. They've got that thing where the doctors aren't supposed to have any kind of relationships with their patients. but maybe a year from now maybe it would work, whatever. Maybe they'll bring her back soon, shes a sweet girl. I hope she didn't die. Looks like they have all the bad stuff happen to the good people, and the crooks just keep on living healthy lives and annoying the hell out of everyonee else whose just trying to survive on a day-to-day basis and yes I'm still talking about this Tn, tho it does look a lot like real life at times. Ok.....b-r-e-a-t-h. There, all better. :-)

Looks like that lousy leech luis will survive, unless Leo finds out that he survived and he sneaks into the hospital dressed like doctor and put some nasty Kool-Aid in his IV or smother him. Either way will work. Or like andy Griffith once said "he can nasty away".

Thanks for the fantastic recap Delilah!

I was right on my Leo theory (although I think it would have been a better story to have had Louse plan this as a frame on Carlos). They still didn't explain why/how Leo got out of jail.

I was way too excited to see the Malquerida, lol. You just know either she or Maribel is going to end up with Javier.

I'm still a little disappointed in Fer, but it does amuse me when her tough jail side comes out as it did in the jail and when she stood up for Hernan. She's a tough little thing!

By the way, I know I normally do recaps on Thursdays but I will be traveling on the 21st so that week I can't do Thursday. Happy to trade with anyone who does Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday that week.

Delilah, I didn't see this but your recap was sheer perfection. As always detailed beautifully and amazingly done.

Like tofie, loved "Don Fer who has remembered the hip part of his closet, is in a pleather jacket". Also enjoyed "his wounds are serious an he may not live. We in viewerville ask, You promise Doctor?" and "Oh stfu Pedro. You reverse snob" were among other favorites.

"Blanca brings Don Fer the new pills Carlos brought him. Hopefully they help him get better and recover his memory. Well maybe it’s better to live unaware. Blanca wonders why? Because this is a nut house!". Far from confused, Don Fer is obviously very lucid some of the time and his observation was spot on. Mariana, Hernan, Cami - a nest of vipers certainly.

Will Carlos ever be able to shed Issy?? His obvious actions and words that he does not love her and will never go back with her mean nothing. She adamantly refuses to leave him, a frizzy haired appendage that thwarts Carlos at every turn. Her timing is impeccable - she either answers the phone or appears at the very worst times. I was also happy to hear Fernanda stood up to her.

"Okay, how about this? Javier falls for Malquerida and they get married?" Oh David, that would be great, wouldn’t it??

Malquerida's unexpected appearance is shaking things up further. "Fer's house is becoming The House for Wayward Girls" - great line Anita.

dy77, congrats for fingering Leo for the hit on Luis. I forgot about him and even if I hadn't, would not have suspected him.

And Nina, yes, thank you for reminding us about that sweet girl. Whatever happened to her??

This was fantastic.

Diana
