Yago Capitulo 32 -Beautiful Crime

All of the scenes in this episode kind of reminded me of this song.  Such an avoidable sadness.

We finally see Alejandra's numb body. Bruno&Yago both got anonymously called by Damian. They almost fight but Yago reveals that he had sweet nothings to do with Ale's death. Bruno clearly cannot contain his sadness.

We get a flashback of Young Camilo yet again and man is he a psycho. From a calm, loving  fairy tale reader he turns into every traitor's worst nightmare. He first shows the traitor Adolfo a glimpse of his favorite flower telling him of the cold history that each of them  hold. Camilo stops to tell Adolfo that he's the next in line to get turned in a leaf. The goons drag him away and drown him mercilessly under water.

A much uglier, older Camilo in the present is currently ranting at the bodyguards for letting Julia slip away. The guards are clearly not fans of Camilo. Speaking of Julia , she has just met Rita/Selma in person. She introduces herself to Selma and invites her to drink. They chat a little about Selma's nice voice but things quickly turn serious as Julia shows Selma a cassette that contains Selma's favorite song. Then they later chat about Camilo as Julia describes his best qualities: nostalgic, grumpy, dramatic and paranoic. Julia jokes that she would love seeing Camilo with a fine woman like Selma. It's getting late as the Privacy Stompers arrive. Julia gives Selma her phone number.

Ambar is sitting depressed at Abel's comfy house. Abel offered her to eat but to no avail. Ambar is shocked that she keeps getting betrayed by the people she loves. Abel sympathies since Ambar has a very trusting nature which can prove to be deadly. Ambar in bed later has to listen to Abel's side of the robbery story. He tells her that he was manipulated and that he wouldn't participate if he knew Omar would get involved. Abel also reveals that Damian was behind the robbery but this does not move Ambar's broken spirit.

Bruno, Melina, Jonas are struggling at the police station. The police man is very nosy and disrespectful. Jonas get's angry at the failure of  investigation. Ale's parents are also there. Their despair grows as the policeman reveals that the cause of death was a gunshot wound. They bawl some more. At home Bruno wants revenge but also wonders why Yago was there. Melina lies that Yago got hired by Melina to investigate Ale's disappearance.

Speaking of Yago, he is angry that Damian got away. He wants to know from Katia how Damian discovered their investigation attempts.. Katia says that she did everything perfect. Yago wants Katia to locate Damian no matter what.

Camilo has a fit at Julia for escaping the house still repeating his control freak drivel. Julia promises that one day she will leave the house for ever! Speaking of Julia, Fidel is mad that Selma met with her since the meeting might as well been a clever trap by Camilo. Selma claims that Julia is merely looking for answers. Fidel points out that Yago played the same game with Lucio by pretending to not know anything and look where it got him!  Selma says that Julia can become very useful in their plan.

Without feeling any remorse Sara visits Lucio in prison. She somehow feels like  everything  is fine and dandy again but Lucio is no Omar the Dumbo. He cynically says that Sara got all she wanted now and can leave with her tosser lover to Hawaii. Sara doesn't even have the courage to say his name.Lucio declares that he did all for her. She leaves him only for him to drop a tear but it was already far too late.

Back at the house Sara feel's buyers remorse again but Yago sets Sara back on track manipulating her with a marriage proposal. Morning comes with them having a googly, flirty breakfast just before Sara goes to deliver the divorce papers to Lucio. Yago asks Sara if she won't regret it in the end but she ignores the question completely with a smile of death showing on her face. They kiss their goodbyes but at the same time the rat bastard Damian spots them OH OH!

Abel has called a doctor to his huse to check on Ambar. The doc tries to convince Ambar into taking charge of her life but Ambar rejects to take or do anything. The doc&Abel have a one on one. The doc advises him patience but Abel is getting desperate. Much later Abel&Ambar also have a one on one. Ambar is confused at Abel's insistence for keeping her alive. Abel tells her of his attempt of suicide after losing Lorenzo. This somehow moves Ambar as they both struggle with their existential crisis.

Fidel informs Yago that their surveillance efforts around Camilo's house has breed results. Fidel has his eyes set on the vicious plant garden. Yago seems to believe that it's Camilo's secret base. Yago sets up a meeting with Camilo and distracts him. In the discussion it is revealed that Camilo has grand plans with casinos and making Mexico better than Las Vegas. Yago later discovers the entrance to the secret base. He takes Camilo's fingerprints while he is distracted and gives them to Katia. Yago gets phoned by Melina. Melina tells him that she is getting worried about Bruno not buying her excuses.

The nuclear cockroach Damian comes to visit Lucio yet again  for the purpose of  shattering Lucio's dreams of grandeur. He tells Lucio to sit down because the news will be hard to take. Sara's lover is no other than Yago Vila, Lucio's esteemed best friend and so called "brother" ! Lucio thinks that Damian is a lying bastard but a broken clock can be right twice a day. Damian advises Lucio to open his eyes  otherwise Matias will soon call Yago "Papa".

It didn't take long until we got one of the most explosive scenes yet. Sara visits Lucio and is calm as a cucumber. Lucio already knowing of the Scammy Arts taunts Sara but Sara breaks his mood entirely by showing him the divorce papers. Sara also claims that they could be friends again if only Lucio dared to sign. Lucio much like Camilo morphs from a caring, loving father into a ruthless Norman Bates look alike monster in 3,2,1. He forces spineless Sara into revealing her lover's name but to no success so Lucio himself shouts Yago's name in a very creepy tone in Sara's face. He also grabs Sara's neck almost strangling her to death. He screams at her that no one will love her like him, NO ONE!
Lucio collectively insults the   Animal Kingdom as a whole by comparing Sara to a rabid pig.

Abel convinces Yago into visiting Ambar just to make her feel better since "love is so rare". Yago does and while we would think this was a normal couple fight things turn for the worse as Yago reveals that everything was an elaborate  farce including his entire life straight to his name. He is not a Spaniard, He is a terrible cook  and he sucks playing a loyal lover. His real name is not Yago Vila but Omar Guerrero !!

Orange juice with salt?!

I'll be looking forward to the recap!

The recap is now up, sorry for it being late!

I have to say....I loved the ending. Can´t wait to see what will happen on Monday. Which side will Ambar take?

Thanks, Countx. That was a great surprise ending. But I'm kind of mad at Yago for revealing himself first to Ambar before revealing himself to his brother and father. And Melina is ticked off at him for continuing with this revenge when so many people, including his son, Ale, and Bruno are getting hurt.

What Abel said is love is strange/weird (raro= strange). Meaning despite the fact that Yago betrayed her in the worst way, because Ambar loves Yago, he might be the best person to get her to break out of her depression. Well, now that she knows Damian masterminded the robbery, she can share that important piece of info with Yago.

Thanks Count, especially enjoying the "nuclear cockroach" and Sara's "buyer's remorse". Nice characterization.

Certainly an unexpected ending to the episode. Feeling chronically melancholy watching this. I've grown fond of many of these characters, flawed thought they be, and they seem on a doomed trajectory.

And of course I'm haunted by that vision of lovely, feisty young Alejandra, stilled forever, left in a dark, open grave. So sad.

Oh and welcome gina...I like your picture.

Thanks Countx!!!

I'm really surprised Yago told Ambar the truth. I know he wants her to have the operation and take her meds but he is risking everything. How does he know Ambar won't reveal the truth to Abel and Sara? Not revealing is tantamount to her helping him exact revenge on her sister. And I can't believe that sweet Ambar would agree with what he's doing. Can only imagine that Yago was so distressed with Ale's death that he can't risk Ambar dying. But now he has set a target on her back too. Damian is capable of everything and anything.

Thank you Countx, what an exciting episode.

I can never understand why Yago and Sara, who are trying to hide their relationship, always act intimate outside where anyone can see them.

Sara really thought that after betraying Lucio, that he would happily sign the divorce papers in order to remain friendly to each other. She's more cold blooded than I thought.

I'm happy that Yago is telling Ambar everything. Now she will at least not feel so hurt by his betrayal of her, and she may actually be happy that Sara isn't going to end up with him after all.

Thank you all! Yes it was a quite frightening and revealing episode.

I forgot to put Camilo's quote in the recap because I'm not home. It goes like this:

"We shouldn't fear nightmares as reality is much more frightening. To live a life without fear,we must become a nightmare of someone else."

I feel that I will use his advice on my dentist if my planned dental surgery get's rescheduled.

I'm not at home*

Countx, fine recap. Back at the house Sara feel's buyers remorse again made me laugh out loud. Thanks, I needed that. Sara has quite the ego to think her betrayal would blow over quickly with her husband and son.

I too don't like that Yago revealed his true ID to Ambar before Bruno. So Ambar's depression over her big sis boinking her almost boyfriend trumps Bruno's devastation over Ale's murder? But I do think Ambar will be so thrilled to know that Yago isn't really into Sara (though *I* think he is) that she'll keep his secret and help him.

Too bad Selma won't rise above her grief to see that both Fidel and Camilo are bad news and both will destroy each other. I know this TN isn't dealing in old clichés, but I did feel a "call of the blood" between Julia and Selma.

In the previous (I think) episode, I love that Teo voiced what some of us have said, that Abel despite his homicides is the best out of the three. Yago dismissed Teo's feelings, but he doesn't seem to realize Ambar will no doubt feel the same way about Abel if Yago tries to destroy him.

Gracias, Countx.

I agree that Yago should not have revealed himself to Ambar. This whole thing is Cheyrnoble waiting to explode all over again and we're only at the halfway mark.

Poor Matias to have Sara for a mother.

And I still can't decide who will survive this story.

Thank you Countx for the recap!!!!

What an episode! I never saw that ending coming.I am so shocked that Yago revealed this to Ambar.

I really hope Ambar doesn't take Yago back. For her to even allow him in the house shows that she was softening to Yago.

I am not sure if Yago will go ahead with his revenge with Sara. He seems so into Sara. I can't stand Sara! Matias better not forgive her!

Sara seems completely delusional about the amount of pain she has caused people. She makes comments like" I know you don't like me but take care of Matias" to J&M. Knowing what she has done to them should be enough for her not to use them and take Mati away. I know J&M want him there but Sara should know better. Then, she worked with Yago to put Lucio in jail, sees he has been beaten up, just like Omar, and thinks he will forgive her. She betrays Ambar and thinks talking to her will fix the problem. She thinks when Mati is older he will understand why she put his father in jail. She has no idea the damage she has caused and sees only her own grief.

Thanks JudyB! I always think whenever I see Yago and Ambar together that he looks like the big bad wolf ready to eat Little Red Riding Hood, she looks so innocent next to him. With this telling of him, he is telling her, he is not worthy of her love and that she has fallen for a liar. He is looking to shake her to make her come out of her depression and get the surgery. Or finally, give her a heart attack and kill her with the news!!!

Excellent Count! Guess we all were picking out jaws up off the floor with that ending.

So what does Ambar do now. Take Yago "back", no she shouldn't. But I think she has been betrayed by her father and sister, and that may make her go in league with Yago to take Sara down. I can definitely see Sara going off into the sunset with Matias. We've seen how much the boy really loves her and she him. They can mend together---that's my ending and I'm sticking with it.

I swear if that anvil hit Sara over the head, she's so clueless and brain dead she probably wouldn't even feel it. The parallel of her trouncing into prison trying to act like everything is fine and gee, of course, she's Sara and everyone will love her and forgive her. Do not really like Lucio, but dang, didn't really feel bad for Sara when he went at her.

Maybe soon if we're lucky Camillo and Fidel will take each other out and that part of this tale can end. I'm vested in what happens to Yago and all around him, the extra tale of the crime lords going at each other and adding issues is not doing it for me.

I keep thinking of a good anvil ending for Damian, but nothing seems "good" enough. Definitely no quick shooting please writers. I'm feeling vindictive towards this idiot...especially after Ale.

Sorry, meant Ambar going off into the sunset with Matias...do not type on a kindle while drinking coffee and sitting in a car with someone talking endlessly about their love life in your ear. Hard on the concentration....just sayin'.

I don't think Yago wants a relationship with Ambar. I think he likes her and wants to make her not hate him so he's explaining what's going on, and therefore is able to point out that he's not actually choosing Sara over her.

Cathyx, ITA that Yago wants Ambar only as a friend. I hope he admits that to her.

Awesome and thanks count.
Yago told Ambar to shut her up and stop making waves. She will feel closer to him and keep her mouth shut but he will continue sleeping with Sara

Tofie, she's not talking to anyone so what's to shut up? If anything, Yago has now given her something to say.

I'm figuratively referring to Ambar moping about catching Sara and he and Yago is neutralizing Ambar. He still needs her and access to Julia, calm the riff between Ambar and Sara and remove the possibility Matis could begin to really question why she left the house abruptly. It is a gamble taking her into his confidence but I think she will believe if he trust her with this he must really care for her and not Sara.

Okay, that makes sense. Huge risk. Excited to see her reaction to the news.

A good Karmageddon for Damian? What were the worst fates we've seen?

-- Quadroplegic?
-- Paraplegic and in prison?
-- In prison minus tongue and hands?
-- Attacked by a pack of wolves (or worse)?
-- Buried alive?

A little early for this discussion, but we could change our minds before the end.

Ewe what show had the missing tongue and hands?

Thanks, Countx. I nearly fell out of bed when Yago started telling everything to Ambar. I hope he knows what he's doing.

Urban, I'd like Damian to be literally crushed like the cockroach he is. Trash compactor, falling bank safe, giant foot - I don't care what crushes him.

Carville, I think that the show to which you referred is Amor Bravio and it was IsaDora who had that very tough ending. She was raped by Leoncio, he burned her hands with acid, and cut her tongue as a revenge because she did the same tongue thing to him before. Eww that was an awful scene.

I would love to see Damian die because of a miscalculation in his plans. He may be smart but I doubt he could manipulate Camilo or Fidel. He already has issues with Tomas.

I wonder if Sara ends up killing Damian. Her life might have been very different without him. She might still be a manipulator, but maybe only for mild mischief and not crime.

Urban, how about "all of the above" for Damian's karmaggedon?

Julie: I could see Ambar opening her mouth to particular people about Yago revealing his identity.

Why would Sara get her hands dirty? She will manipulate some man (Yago) to do the work and take Damian out.

If we were talking about premeditated murder, yes, she'd try to get Yago to do it. And Yago will have a motive when he finds out about Dam's role in the heist. But Sara might have to defend herself against Dam in a hurry. I don't think Dam would hesitate to kill her if she got in his way.

Sorry I'm late to the party but I didn't have a chance to watch the episode until this morning. You were right Countx, this was a wicked episode! "Wicked" as in British for "amazing" but also "wicked" as in plain old wicked! Many thanks for doing the events justice in your recap! This was a great read!

Welcome, Gina! I enjoyed reading your comments! It's always fun to welcome a new Patio Pal in our midst, especially one with such passionate views about the show and the characters. Thank you for joining the Yago patio! :)

Is it bad I felt for Lucio in the past two episodes? I know, I know, he had it coming but wouldn't jail have ben more than enough without adding the torture? Besides, must the Madrigal vermin all gang up to hit him while he is down, all in a day! Oh well, he earned the jail time but I personally find the beatings and the humiliation excessive, even though I was (and I still am) onboard with Yago's vengeance. Though I feel justice would be a better aim for Omar/Yago than blind revenge.

The reveal at the end was plain dumb in my opinion. I understood why Melina had to find out Omar was alive but telling Ámbar endangers a lot of people whose lives are already in grave risk as it is. Between Dam, Camilo, Fidel (not to mention Katia's slip-ups), the revenge plan is attracting plenty of danger to go around and cause more collateral damage.

And since we are on the subject of Ámbar, anybody else ticked off at her feet stomping and refusal to eat/take her medicine? I understand she is heartbroken but why the need to go on a hunger strike in someone else's home where the people she doesn't want to talk (Sara and Yago) can easily find her? This is a cry for attention more than anything else. If she truly wanted to be alone to nurse her wounds and curse her luck, she would've taken her drugs with her and checked into a hotel somewhere, until she put her ideas in order. She would not have left her medicine bottles in full display at Yago's place to guilt-trip him and her sister, then moved into Abel's place to sulk and huff and puff. Sorry to be that person, but Ámbar's pity party and her obsession with Yago despite the humiliation and harm he did her is not sitting well with me. Just my two cents.

As regards Damián's karmageddon, I suggest he dies a really absurd death. The actor who plays him played a villain in the 2009 version of "Corazón Salvaje" (I think his name was Fulgencio) who died by slipping on a rock and hitting his head. He was on a leisurely walk marvelling at his own intelligence and ability to escape punishment after all the murders he committed. He spots a jewel, tries to pick it up, he slips and bangs his head against the rocks. Dead! It was so dumb, I felt it was poetic justice for all his admiration of his superior intellect and impunity.

Thanks again, Countx!

Was there an episode last night? Nothing new on Hulu yet? Is the show on hiatus again? Whassup? Anybody know?

Hiya JudyB! I just checked Twitter and people were discussing Episode 33 so Yago did air last night. I think the person in charge of uploading the Monday episodes on Hulu tend to take their sweet time. I believe this is the second week in a row that they do this.

Yes. There was an episode last night, and I will recap it this evening, but with post the discussion page a bit later this afternoon.

To be fair, Ambar didn't choose to go to Abel's place. She was going to go to LA. And now she seems to be too weak to go anywhere (not to mention that Abel wouldn't let her out of his sight even if she tried). But yes, it was (potentially) drama-queeny and passive-aggressive to leave her medicines behind (though I don't think she was really planned it that way). Better to take them with her and then ditch them at the airport if she's so determined to die.

And yes, it's bratty to go on a hunger strike at someone else's house. She may be a reluctant guest, but Abel is not a warden. The low-grade tantrum is inappropriate. She should be much nicer to one of the few people who hasn't used her.

Vivi, I look forward to your recap. Thanks!

Julie, I agree that Ámbar didn't chose to go to Abel's (he took her there after she fainted at the airport) but she chose to stay after the fact and make Abel th caregiver of a very uncooperative patient.

"The low-grade tantrum is inappropriate" I totally agree with your description. In fact, I don't know if you saw it but there was a scene where Ámbar was literally stomping her feet on the ground! I was like: What is wrong with this mocosa? I want to feel sorry for her but she is not helping! :)

Thanks Nandicta and Vivi. I figured you would know!

Have to admit I have a soft spot for Amber. Perhaps because she looks a lot like my youngest, Julie. And we all have our immature, less than admirable moments. Especially when our hearts have been broken.

Oh well, let's face it, mom's are an easy touch.

Nandicta, I either missed the foot-stomping or forgot it since Friday. (I really don't like that we're not getting Friday episodes!) Ambar is definitely too old for that!

But she had a desperate need to sulk, and unfortunately (and not by choice) she ended up at Abel's place. I don't think Abel would let her leave - I mean I don't think she would be physically capable of it on her own, and he wouldn't have helped her do it. So she's not technically a captive, but neither is this where she intended to do her sulking.

On the other hand, I don't recall her asking to leave, either, which seems like the least she could do if she wants to act like an adult.

I think Abel is enjoying her company, regardless. For all of his faults, Abel really seems to need to have someone depending on him. He should get some houseplants and a dog. His profession puts everyone close to him in danger, and he doesn't have the temperament to cope with the results.

Gracias Nandicta!

I too feel a bit bad about Lucio. He is one of the few husbands that takes care of his children and doesn't actively humiliate his wife. Lucio could have been million times worse to Sara but he had a shred of mercy for her. He is not a saint but he still pales in comparision to the likes of Damian, Fidel &Camilo. But even so Lucio is still heavily obsessed with Sara so he will not let her go that easy. Lucio would kill Yago&Sara before they take Matias from him.

It's kind of fresh when you are not even rooting for the good guys because there are no good guys. Just morally conflicted characters, gangsters and collateral damage.

New discussion page is up, with highlights of the episode until I can get a recap done.
