Narcos Capitulo #4 August 24 2016 "Flame on"
The death of Rodrigo Lara gave Colombia a new edge of extradition support as one of the assailants confessed that Pablo put out the hit. Steve still blames himself for the death but Javier assures him that it was for the best as now they can go after these rat bastards. Pablo got indicted for Lara's death and got placed on the bounty list. Extradition could possibly make Pablo's life a living hell as U.S max prison doesn't have any privileges. Now Pablo had something to fear. Or does he? After a small fight between the Narcos Pablo proposes a new organization"The extraditables". But this time it wasn't a team effort but a man for himself. Gacha thought that he could stop the extradition by simply killing anyone who tried to stop him. The Ochoas build themselves quite a crafty logo("Better a grave in Colombia than a cell in the United States"). Carlos Lehder took it to the airwaves blaming the imperialistic America for everything. It was also the very first time judges had to wear masks during court. But not even that stopped Pablo from blowing up their cars.
Pablo also got a new enemy in the form of Luis Carlos Galan. He could never get intimidated or bought so Pablo send him a letter complaining about "invasive policies". Noonan assures Galan that they will support his campaign but what does he think of extradition. Galan points out that he will do what's best for Columbia. Gaviria warns Galan that he shouldn't become a puppet by supporting extradition but Galan accepts to support it despite his disdain for American foreign policy. Besides if the Americans want to take away the trash from Colombia let them take it.
Steve wants to go ahead with capturing Escobar but Carrillo warns Pena&Steve that they simply don't have enough manpower to take on Pablo. He has too many soldiers and spies lurking at every corner. Even so Pablo won't take extradition very lightly. Besides his boss General Jaramilo wouldn't let him take the mission either-way. Pena takes care of the problem as he bribes Jaramilo. But Jaramilo wasn't really happy with the payment as he continues to screw with Carrilo waiting for the right moment to strike. We also meet Carrrilo's family. It includes a wife and a younger son also named Horacio. Carrilo informs her that the general wants him to capture Pablo Escobar.
Connie&Elisa start to bond quite well. Elisa asks Connie about Steve's employment status. She says that Steve is in janitorial services. Connie&Elisa later meet up with Steve&Pena. Elisa jokes that she is M19 while Pena unknowingly breaks both of their covers. If only they know Elisa wasn't joking at all.
Despite the humongous threat the drug dealers posed everyone only cared about the communists. Pablo is just a wanted fugitive now so the problem should get resolved by local authorities. Steve&Pena decide to invade Pablo's home turf but first Carrillo brutally tortures his prisoner for prison. He spills the coffee on him, threatening to torture him slowly. The prisoner say's that Pablo will just torture him slower then.
Back at Pablo's mansion Gustavo is ranting about the Ochoas. Due to higher attention from the media, Ochoas raised their prices. Gustavo suggest bribing the higher brass more. In a humorous but compelling way Pablo attempts to control some birds on a tree but Pablo fails. Gustavo tells him that no one can truly control everyone, not even Pablo. Soon an informant tells them to evacuate as an attack is coming. Pablo was sad that he had to leave his home by a helicopter just as he was adjusting to it, for no place can be his home. Tata tells Pablo that she would do anything for him as long as he is with her. Gustavo burns the leftover documents but some shards were later found by Steve in the ensuing invasion.
Gustavo&Pablo also have a tender but also very realistic scene. Gustavo is mad that Pablo had to go play the politician pulling everyone under. But Gustavo still goes along with him and they hug.
Steve's lead led him to the adress of Blackbeard (The keeper of Pablo's secret documents). The evidence was enough to put him away for a 100 lifetimes. Javier&Steve had to steal some documents regarding Barry Seal aka "Ellis Mcpickle" as Jaramillo screwed them over once again. Barry Seal was an ex FBI agent that helped Pablo traffic coke to communist countries. Barry confessed everything in return for a reduced life time sentence. Javier wanted to protect him but Steve ratted Barry out, showing Noonan the incriminating evidence. When the news spread Barry get's killed which made Javier mad. Steve says that it was all done in the name of good. Steve&Javier now got the full resources they needed to go after Pablo.
In the aftermath of many raids, Carlos Lehder also got captured charged with a life sentence. Pablo didn't took the news lightly as he promised war. He made a deal with the communists. In exchange for money and resources the communists burned down the Court of Justice. In there the evidence against Pablo was stored. Elisa, angry at the prospect of communists helping narco traffickers left M-19 to join with Javier&Steve. Steve wasn't happy with the prospect of fugiting a communist though.
After the work was done Pablo returned the sword of Simon Bolivar to Ivan Torres. Pablo later kills them all leaving the sword behind.
