Caray, Caray!

So, here we are with our story ready to pick up right after Ricardo and Cristina reaffirm their love for each other and kiss.

At home, Anya is having a nightmare of sorts where all of her patients are gone and Pedro appears as a doctor trying to convince her that love can also be a profession (just like medicine) by having her listen to his accelerated heart beat which he says she caused. She awakens just as they are about to kiss and laughs at herself for being so crazy and seeing Pedro as a doctor in her dream.

At the Guerrero's, Pedro tucks his mother Esperanza into bed. They say good night and he turns out the light.


At Cristina's, she is talking with Ricardo. Ricardo tells Cristina that Tracy is not a professional and she will trip herself up soon enough and they will be able to rescue Adrián. Perky Cristina says that if Ricardo Alegría is in charge it will all turn out just fine. Ricardo reminds her he is not in charge of the case because he is no longer a super duper secret agent but he will do all in his power to find Adrián. Cristina says with everything going on they never had a chance to talk about Isaac Rey and what Ricardo did. There will be repercussions. Ricardo knows that but Isaac disrespected Cristina and he could not let that pass. They bet that Isaac is going to have him charged with causing bodily harm. He is sorry things are going to get more complicated. Cristina has been thinking on how to fight back, fight fire with fire. Is she planning on involving him in a scandal? No, she is thinking more of a "yellow" journalism story about him where everything is all the truth, all facts. She reminds him we all have skeletons in the closet. Cristina and Ricardo have a hard time saying good night. Kiss face time.

The next day, Adrián is still in his cage just sitting there in his school uniform looking pretty bad. Tracy comes in laughing. She is there to tell him she is not that cruel. She throws him parts of a bolillo as if he were an animal. He gobbles down whatever he can get his hands on. She also has a great surprise for him. She makes a phone call. Viviana is the lucky parent (remember Ernesto never had the heart to tell her that Adrián was in a cage) to get the call from Tracy. In the meantime, Mario calls Ernesto to let him know about the call. Tracy says Adrián is eating old bread but it's okay. Tracy puts the phone on speaker so Adrián can talk to his mother. They cry back and forth and Adrián tells his mom he is in a cage and lots of stuffed animals are(as prepared by a taxidermist)all around. Tracy warns him not to say too much or she will hang him and his mother. Adrián tells his mother he is cold and thirsty. Tracy finishes the conversation and tells Viviana that yes Adrián is dying of cold and fear. Please let Ernesto know she will be in touch soon. Bye! Bye! Now Tracy turns her attention back to Adrián: Tracy has brought him a nice bottle of whiskey to warm him up and quench his thirst!!!!!. She shoves it into the cage. Oh no, she cannot reach it to take it back out and he has a problem with alcoholism, right? She forgot. She's sorry. Whoopsie! She laughs and says goodbye to her little monkey. Adrián just looks at the opened bottle and then closes his eyes.

At school, a coughing Esperanza runs into Ricardo and asks him about Adrián. He fills her in on the latest. They are tracing the SUV Tracy used and the telephone number. Ricardo thinks Tracy wants revenge on Ernesto because he refused to help her. As the conversation goes on, Ricardo asks Esperanza when her wedding is. No date is set yet. He wishes her a lot of luck and happiness. Esperanza looks sad as he turns and walks away.

At Tracy's, she is packing up and wrapping up the body of her murdered buddy Dionisio in a sheet. She calls Ernesto at his house. She excuses herself for a moment and tells him she is trying to move a dead body that is proving to be very hard to move. She keeps fiddling with the body during the conversation. Ernesto asks what she wants. She wants to see him. Where? It has to be some open spot so she can be sure he is alone. She has conditions. He must come alone. If she sees ANYBODY else or if he tries to hurt her or do anything to her, she disappears and he will never know where Adrián is and Adrián will die of cold and thirst in three days. Ernesto tells her that she must know that she is going to pay for all of this someday. She reminds him that he tried to have her killed once and failed That is something she is going to talk to him about in two hours. He says he will be there. Where? She will text him an address. He repeats he will be alone. She reminds him he better be or she will disappear and shoot Adrián in the head.

Anya is at her job at the hospital trying to lift the spirits of one of her patients along with the endless video loop that tries to do the same. Pedro comes by for his blood sugar meter that he forgot when he was taking to her yesterday. They flirt and tease back and forth. He finds out that besides being a boxer she likes to play soccer and dance the salsa and is into poetry. Her dad read to her a lot when she was little. Pedro is clearly smitten. She says goodbye to him and tries to lead him out so he will go. He turns but lingers . . . She turns away and smiles to herself.

At the predetermined spot. Ernesto meets with Tracy. He cannot keep his hands off of her and almost chokes her to death trying to force her to tell him where Adrián is. She will not give in to the physical abuse. What does she want?: REVENGE. She will trade the life of his son for that of Ricardo: Ernesto killing Ricardo will fix it all. He needs something in return. He needs proof that Adrián is alive. She shows Ernesto some live video feed. He sees Adrián as he is fighting against taking a drink. He finally drops the bottle and it smashes on the floor. Tracy does not budge on her terms. She wants Ricardo dead.

At school, Ricardo shows Cristina that he has just received an order to appear on bodily harm charges. They knew that Isaac Reyes wasn't going to just let the incident go. He goes on to say that he thinks Ernesto was responsible for Esperanza canceling the wedding and that one time he knows Ernesto tried to have him killed. Ernesto was always in love with Esperanza. Back then Esperanza hated Ernesto. Now all has changed and it seems that Esperanza does love Ernesto. So now they are getting married.

In the school auditorium, Esperanza fills in the students on Adrián's kidnapping from right outside of the school. She warns them to all be careful. If they see or hear anything, please tell someone so they maybe can help find Adrián.

Adrián is in his cage begging for water.

Ernesto is still talking to Tracy and asks her to give water to Adrián. She insists he BEG her from down on his knees like has he has never begged for anything before in his life. He does it crying and she just laughs at the "Ernesto de la Colina." She reminds him how he mistreated, humiliated her and sent Murillo to kill her and how she had to stage her own suicide but just look at him now on his knees! Tracy is enjoying this. Murillo is 10 meters underground and that is where she wants Ricardo.

Pedro is still hanging around to chat with Anya. She gives him 30 seconds for them to ask questions to each other and then she has to get back to work. He finds out her work and career are the most important things in her life, for him it's his mother and sister. Favorite verb? For her it is to help, for him it is to live. What superpower would they choose? He would read minds and she would be able to cure people with her hands. What personal characteristic do they value the most? She values authenticity. He values honesty. He manages to fit in asking her if she has a boyfriend. The answer is no and now she has to get back to work. Pedro is happy.

Esperanza is giving a nice little grammar lesson about the the subjunctive. Kiko is distracted. He asks if they can all send a "good vibe" to Adrián since they are all preoccupied by his situation. Esperanza talks out aloud to "Adrián" about how much she loves and needs him. Esperanza has them all join hands, close their eyes and send all of their love and good wishes so that Adrián is saved.

Ricardo is till talking to Cristina and he is holding her hands telling her that her problems are his problems, her anguish is his, and her pain is his. She is afraid he is going to end up in jail because of the Isaac Reyes thing. He tells her he won't end up in jail. Just in case she hasn't noticed, he is capable of doing anything for her. She cries remembering the electric shocks he went through. It was just like being tickled is his answer. No big deal. Ricardo changes the subject and says he needs to talk to Rentería and see what is going on with finding Adrián. The problem is that they have nothing concrete to go by.

At Ernesto's, Viviana she finds out from Pato that Ernesto went to talk to Tracy. He went by himself. He should be coming right over according to Luca. Mario is there, too. Ernesto arrives. They all want to know what Tracy said to him. They all get part of the truth: Tracy forced him to beg for Adrián's life. He does not mention having to kill Ricardo.

Tracy is back at her place and is talking to herself and the dead Dionisio as she now tapes up his murdered body wrapped with plastic. At least she knows what she is going to do with the body. He will never be back to annoy her again. She imitates Ernesto pleading for Adrián's life. She is all high on the idea of Ernesto killing Ricardo.

Ricardo talks to Esperanza on the way to the auditorium. She tells him how upset the students were about Adrián and how she tried to calm them down. Ricardo asks how she is doing. She says she is doing really well. He tells her to never lose her zest or love for life. He has so much respect for the warrior she has always been. She asks how things are going with Cristina. Well, she is a great woman. He then excuses himself to go to the class Esperanza was teaching. Esperanza blinks back the tears. As soon as Ricardo comes in an hysterical Estrella asks if he is looking for Adrián. He assures her that the police are looking for him. Estrella does not want to hear that because Ricardo found her and she is fixed on Ricardo finding Adrián. Ricardo tells her they are doing everything possible. She wants him to promise her that he will find Adrián. He promises her.

Silvana is washing the floor in the school hallway talking to herself about how she has to get Salma to love her again because her baby is going to solve her "living" problems. Talking to Salma in her head she is repeating "you have to believe in me". Margarita hears that passing by and wants to know what she is talking about. She comes up with the line that Salma has to believe in her because she is all alone. Margarita warns her that if she hurts Salma she will have to deal with her. Silvana asks what kind of harm could she do? All she has is the mop and that not really because it isn't hers. Margarita is happy that she is earning a decent living. Inspite of all she has done, Margarita is there to wish her well and to hope that the good Lord straightens her road for her. In her head, Silvana snaps back with the only thing that is going to get straightened are your teeth old lady. Also in her head she tells her she wants Salma to rob her of her child, sell it and get some revenge. In the real world, she tells Margarita she hopes that her life improves and that she is happy. Margarita tells her to begin by forgiving herself.

At Ernesto's everyone is leaving. The last out is Pato. She hates to leave Ernesto alone. He says he has a lot to do. He will see her in a bit back at her mother's. She then asks what does he have to do to get Adrián back.
(She barely got the question out of her mouth before they cut to a commercial--couldn't wait even 1 second?)

Outside of the school, Ricardo gets a call from Baxter. They found Tracy's SUV all burned out on a highway outside of the city. He tells Cristina who is there with him. He also tells her how frustrated he feels especially now that Estrella asked him to help find Adrián. Cristina is all understanding. Ricardo notices Silvana mopping after a kid runs into her and she reacts. Of course she has to come over to fawn all over Ricardo. Cristind tells her it is time for her to get back to work.

Esperanza and Pedro are sitting outside at school and talking about Anya. Esperanza sees her as maybe an opportunity for Pedro to move on since not all girls are like Kristel. He protests saying that he is still getting over Kristel. He says that the does not want a relationship with anybody right now but Esperanza catches him smiling.

Suddenly Ernesto is talking to Esperanza at her house. He is sobbing as he fills her in. She is sobbing. He tells her he would do whatever in order to save Adrián. Esperanza hugs him. Ring ring! Time for another video of Adrián. Now Tracy is on top of the cage talking about how Adrián's dad begged her on his knees even for her to give Adrián some water. She has a bowl of water with her on top of the cage and sprinkles it in his open mouth. She ends up pouring what she wants in his mouth and then a small amount in a stainless steel bowl in his cage. Esperanza sees the video, too. Tracy says she has fullfilled part of the deal. it is now Ernesto's turn. She waves to Ernesto. Esperanza asks what is his part of the deal to get Adrián back: he tells her it is money, loads and loads of money.

Next thing we see is Ernesto talking with Ricardo about Baxter and the progress in the kidnapping case. Suddenly Ernesto pulls a gun on him and tells him he is sorry but he has to die.
