Yay! Dr. Cutie Pie is back! In all his years of practicing medicine, Dr. Medrano says he has never seen a case like Esperanza's (because they don’t exist) and he can only classify it as a “miracle” (the correct scientific term being “writer’s whim”).
Dr. Medrano announces that Esperanza’s cancer is now in remission but the chemo sessions must continue, as a preventive measure. He thanks Pedro for looking into alternative cures, Pato for her continued “support” to her mom and Anya for saving Esperanza’s life and becoming practically a member of the Guerrero family. Esperanza asks where Ernesto is and they tell her all about the failed Lukidney.

Ernesto is back home, looking the worse for wear, drinking water and pondering what Diego Howser, M.D. told him. The kidney transplant is urgent. Ernesto announces out loud, for our benefit: “I won’t allow Pato to give up one of her kidneys for me!”
Quintina is going to Egypt to marry her boyfriend... Popeye? Did I hear the name Popeye? In any case, she’s leaving Instituto Palacios. Guess who’s going to apply for her job and most certainly get it? Anastasia of the Personality Transplant! Yep, she is going to apply for the job of secretary, she who always disdained and insulted secretaries. Anastasia even goes to the constructora to apologize to Arleth and Begoña for the way she disrespected them in the past. She brings them gifts but they don’t believe she is being genuine when she says she is sorry for how she treated them. They even mock her so-called change for the better: Yeah, right! Begoña announces she is marrying Fernando Colunga and Arleth declares she is the woman who smiles the most in the world! It wasn’t until Anastasia swore on her son’s life she is a changed woman, that the secretaries began to believe her.
Salma tells Kiko she no longer wants to be his pseudo-girlfriend and she is no longer interested in being part of the “Galactic Four”. She hopes Kiko can walk again some day but away from her.
At the MENCLINIC for the Criminally Insane, Kracy flirts with a medical orderly. He tells her he knows what happened to her previous galán. “Who? Dionisio? He was a burro/ donkey”. (The actor who played Dionisio is Jorge “El Burro” Van Rankin). Kracy vows to keep her eye on the ball and continue insisting (no quitar el dedo del renglón) in her pursuit of revenge against her enemies, namely: Ernesto, the man who tried hard to have her killed and Ricardo, the man who didn’t try hard enough to stay married to her.
Ricardo is distracted during his class because he can’t stop thinking about Esperanza.
Salma tells Astrid she wants to take an acting or modeling class. She wants to become famous, a true reina/queen. Paulo Rey says he is going to be her rey/king and he is prepared to wipe the slate clean and start afresh, now that she has gone back to being the cool girl she was before. He invites her to a party at his house with a famous Australian DJ and, surely, enough booze to knock down a contingent of boxing kangaroos. Crikey!
CVV confides to Margarita that she feels the future is uncertain now that Esperanza is back in the land of the living and now that the truth about the reason of her separation from Ricardo is out in the open. CVV confesses she wants to know what Ricardo truly feels. Does he feel something for Esperanza still? Does he love Esperanza more than he loves CVV? Margarita advises CVV to hang onto her man, latch onto him proper good and never let him go. However, it is important not to hound him. CVV must give Ricardo his space because, according to some book Márgara once read, when men go into their secret cave to figure things out, they need to be left the heck alone! The conversation moves to the wedding preparations and what do you know? CVV forgot all about her wedding dress! Obviously, this was all a silly plot device to insert filler scenes of CVV going wedding dress-shopping with Margarita and falling in love with the first dress she sees. She says yes to the very first dress without taking a longer browse, so Margarita calls her a disgrace to womankind. There was also a later scene where CVV gushes over her wonderful wedding dress to Ricardo. Juaréver.
Luca visits Ernesto at home and informs him that Esperanza’s cancer is in remission. Ernesto is so overjoyed he blurts out: “Now I can die peacefully!” Luca reprimands his father for saying this. He urges him to fight his disease, like Esperanza did, and tries to convince him to accept Pato’s kidney. Ernesto is adamant he won’t allow his daughter to live with only one kidney for his sake. Besides, “Do you think I deserve to live?” he asks.
Instead of heading to her classes or to the library, D-student Pato goes to the school cafeteria to have a chinwag with Ricardo about Esperanza’s illness, penchant for lies and love for Ricardo. He says he is still sad that all these lies were for nought: Esperanza lied but never died. He is also very mad at Esperanza and, the more he thinks about it, the madder he gets. He’s mad that she made a decision for him and that she forgave Ernesto. He enumerates all the things that he hates about Ernesto and shows his frustration that Esperanza is going to marry this man he despises so. Pato asks Ricardo if he still loves her mom. He says he doesn't know whether he loves her or hates her. He is happy she has recovered but there is no more Esperanza-and-Ricardo (Esperardo)! Now it’s Cristina-and-Ricardo (Cristardo) and the happy couple is going to get married very soon!
At Casa Alegría, the kids organize a special costumed date to help CVV and Ricardo make up. CVV is the queen and Ricardo is the king. The girls are dressed as princesses and Rodrigo as a prince. They serve the grown-ups grape juice to accompany the cheese and charcuterie platter they prepared and baptized: Enamored Ham. CVV and Ricardo discuss the cancer-surviving elephant in the room and Ricardo thanks his precious fiancée for her “understanding”. Queen CVV promises her king that she will fight for their love and for the family they have now become. They toast to the continuation of this marvelous thing they have been living and to their upcoming wedding, scheduled at the end of next week. The kids forgot to prepare dessert on purpose (adrede) it seems, so CVV and Ricardo decide to smooch for dessert.
Pato and Pedro wheel their mom into the church gardens. She had said earlier that she wanted to give thanks for her miraculous recovery. Ernesto runs up to her and tells her how happy he is that she is now cured of the cancer. Esperanza recognizes that, in large part, she owes her recovery to Ernesto. She thanks him for being there for her through it all. He thanks her for making his dream come true, for the time she gave him and for the moments they spent together. He tearfully professes his love for her and promises to love her until the day he dies. They hug and cry in each other’s arms.

Esperanza looked better yesterday. They put too much raccoon makeup on her today.
Ernesto is now drinking water at home. What is annoying about Ernesto is that he did not take care of his first transplanted kidney. What a poor wretch at this point. He needs to survive and end up with Esperanza.
Did they have to play whatever song it was with "such a sexy girl" lyrics for Salma as she was flirty with Paulo? Yuck! I was so glad she doubled down on giving Kiko the boot.
Looks like Tracy is thinking of escape having found out that if a patient from the locked down psychiatric hospital gets sick they go to the "Hospital Central". Is that locked down, too??? I thought I saw a glimmer of hope in her dead fish eyes and a quickly extinguished start of a smirk.

"Ernesto is so overjoyed he blurts out: “Now I can die peacefully!” Do you think I deserve to live?” he asks". Yes my Ernesto, yes, yes!! I am overlooking your many atrocities, including murder and attempted murder. Why? Because you loved Esperanza whole heartedly and completely. You would give up your life for her. Ironic, isn't it? You will likely die while she will live.
So Ricardo is having second thoughts. How utterly noble. Ricardo, who couldn't even muster up one tear when Espe pleaded with him to forgive her. I know Ricardo was hurt and what Esperanza did was absolutely wrong. But if you love someone, can you truly not forgive them for trying to protect you?? True love is forgiveness and he is in short supply.
I am curious as to what Tracy is up to. Your "I thought I saw a glimmer of hope in her dead fish eyes and a quickly extinguished start of a smirk" has me intrigued Jarifa.
I wonder if anyone is going to swoop in for Cris when she doesn't get the final rose?
Color me amazed Espe left the brink of death to return to the land of the living in a NY minute. My hope that she will end up with Ernesto is failing as quickly as his kidney unfortunately.
Most TNs seem to end with a wedding, don't they? I can't think of anything I've seen where I haven't been happy the main couple have wed. There is a first time for everything...

Anya, quickly patent this recipe that cures cancer: 5 chemos, 31 chinese weevils, herbal infusions, scorpion's tail powder and rattlesnake, one session of virotherapy and a prayer. If you had been as "quirky" as Pedro is when you were 12, he would still be alive today!
She demands the truth about Ernesto when she sees the faces of the three musketeers, why, what if Ernesto decided that you shouldn't suffer his illness and lied to you just like you did to Ricardo, is not that karma? Una sopa de tu propio chocolate?
Is there a mexican version of American Best now that Estrella has to wear glasses overnight? How can she afford such things? Is it a gift from Adrián?

Since Esperanza was already in the hospital, why not remove one of her kidneys for Ernesto "aprovechando el viaje"? if she looks this good without a stomach, imagine how good she will look with only one kidney!!
