Yago #53 Is it a True Truce?

Flashback: Camilo hears a gunshot, runs upstairs and there is Julia, age 3 or so, standing next to a gun she fired on the floor. A worried Camilo hugs her and tells her that he’s going to be more vigilant and watch her more closely.  Julia’s voiceover says that unconditional love makes one feel secure and protected. She never thought that that promise of keeping a loved one safe would be so difficult to fulfill. That one day she would have to defend that love from true bullets.

Present day: Julia arrives to save her kidnapper.( I think it odd that they would plot to just kill Camilo outright like this, they’ve had plenty of opportunity in the past to kill him)
Teo grabs her then lets her go, then Yago grabs her, but Teo announces that she’s pregnant, and to be easy with her. Teo won’t be happy until he tells everyone about the pregnancy. I’m trying to keep this recap short. So, needless to say, she foils the plot to kill Camilo. And in the process, Katia tells the entire group that Julia is pregnant.

Lucio walks in on Hernan cutting himself with a knife, and says that he thought what he heard about him, that fact that Hernan is really messed up, was a lie, but Hernan confirms that it’s true. Lucio suspects someone close to Camilo is a traitor, and he suspects Hernan. Fidel and Yago have had too many victories, and no one wins that much. Hernan denies it, Lucio is now on the case to discover who the traitor is.
Hernan goes off to talk with Camilo.

Team Fidel now has to regroup. They know that Camilo will retaliate. Julia thanks Fidel for not killing Camilo, he said he did it for her, but she better not meddle in things again.

Hernan tells Camilo about his concerns about Sara, he doesn’t trust her. He proceeds to list off the things that happened to cause him to mistrust her. Her intervention in the bar bombing and then when Fidel tried to kill him, Sara was there too. But Camilo accuses him of making him feel like an idiot that lost his head over a woman, even so, this is giving Camilo a whole lot to think about.

Sara calls Yago to find out what happened, was it a trap to get Sara?  Sara is worried for her own safety now. Yago convinces her that she’s really good at lying and convincing people, she can do it with Camilo too. Selma finds out about Julia’s pregnancy. I think everyone now knows about it.

Sara, at work, runs into Lucio, who brings up the coincidences of her presence of all the mess happening between the two teams. Sara is ready to school Lucio.  A lot of back and forth, long story short, they reveal nothing and don’t convince each other of anything either. But one thing that did come out of this exchange, Lucio still wants to join team Fidel.

Fidel comes by Yago’s house, late at night to talk privately with him. He’s sorry for Camilo not dying, lol.

Julia visits Camilo the next morning. She didn’t come to reconcile with him, she came to make a deal. She wants the war to end. If everyone cares about her as much as they say they do, she wants the war to end so that her baby can grow up in peace.

Lucio visit’s Matias at Jonas and Melina’s. No one is happy to see him except Matias. He brought some gifts for the boy.

Julia’s next stop is to see Yago at the bar. She wants him to be a participating member of the new truce she’s working on. She tells him that she got Camilo to agree to it. (We don’t know if that’s true or not, we didn’t see that part, she could be bluffing to get him to accept it)

Abel asks Fidel if he has anything he wants to say about Abel being the father of the baby. Yes, only that if Abel isn’t serious about Julia, he wants him to leave her alone.
Sara comes into her room to see Hernan looking through her things. Did Camilo ask him to do that? No, he felt like doing it all on his own, she kicks him out. But he tells her that he’s watching her very closely.

Melina calls Yago to tell him that Bruno and Jonas know he’s Omar. So everyone knows he’s Omar, and everyone knows Julia is pregnant. Yago comes over, and Bruno gives him a hug. But Jonas doesn’t want to hug him, not sure if Jonas believes it. Omar would never seek revenge. Jonas only wants him to help in getting custody of Matias.

Camilo meets with Lucio and Hernan to tell them that he made a pact to not fight with team Fidel. Lucio doesn’t think it wise, but Camilo doesn’t care what he thinks. Lucio and Hernan are pissed. They want a war and they want blood.

Yago tells Fidel that he doesn’t believe the best way to confront Camilo is to kill him. He still wants to get his revenge, just doesn’t want it to end in death. Julia is right, we are better than that. Yago said that Omar would have done his vengeance without death. Yago has a plan.

Camilo sees Sara again in her room, she’s packing her things. She feels that Camilo doesn’t trust her, Hernan was going through her things, she doesn’t want to stay there anymore. She’s good, she makes him feel guilty, he will deal with Hernan.

They go through the dramatic partaking of the truce. Each team is on opposite sides of a table, they systematically set down their guns on the table, one by one. No more blood. they even shake on it.

The next morning, Yago informs Sara that they all agreed to a truce. Life can resume as normal now. Sara doesn’t understand, how can she live normally now? She’s with the man who killed her sister. Doesn’t Omar want her to be with him? Yago said that he can’t go back to being with her, too much has happened. So she put her life at risk for nothing? She thought Omar was the prize. She did it so he would forgive her. URG! He weakens, and goes in for the kill (sex). He just can’t quit her.

Lucio is unhappy about the truce. He tells Hernan that a great gift to their boss would be to take them down on their own. Hernan is thinking about it.
After sex, Yago feels guilty. He’s disgusted with his weakness. Sara says that Omar still loves her, but Yago said he’s not Omar anymore, and don’t confuse sex with love. Now she gets her jealousy up and wonders if he’s in love with Ximena.  But no, Sara lost him when she betrayed Omar. She lost everything then. But the last straw was taking his son away from him and making him believe he was a killer. And she will never be his Mujer.

We end with Hernan accosting Katia as she goes into Ambar Bar.

Looking forward to the recap from Monday night!

Wow I am so concerned for Katia!!! If anything happens to her, Yago will be more devasted than he was for Ambar.

Jonas was really though on Yago and even when he was Omar! I wonder why Jonas is like that towards his son.

Recap is now up. Gotta run though, I'll be back soon.

Gracias Cathy!

This episode was hilarious and both terryfing at the same time. Fidel&Camilo made truce for old times sake but it might not last very long because of Katia's attack(?). Camilo hopes that Fidel will "die from boredom" and go back to fighting because that's one of the only things Fidel can't last without.

Jonas was right to be mean to Yago. Yago made the entire family suffer. Bruno would have never learned the truth without spying on Yago.
By the time Melina would eventually spin the beans Bruno would be pissed too.

I hated it when Yago still had tears to shed for Sara. The past is the past. It doesn't make Yago look like the cool Avenger we were expecting him to be from the promos.

Thanks so much, Cathyx! I haven't seen the episode yet, and have a meeting after work which will delay my watching. This recap has me intrigued to see how it all unfolded. Seems like they've left Sara in a very vulnerable and dangerous position with Camilo. I'd be angry if I were her.

Thanks Cathy!!

Yago gets on my nerves. He can't get over Sara. I really hope they don't end up together at the end.

Thank you, Cathyx. "Teo won’t be happy until he tells everyone about the pregnancy." I was thinking the same thing when I watched it this morning. Boy, has he got a big mouth.

You know, Fidel could have killed Camilo three times before Julia showed up. But instead he had to stand there and gloat first. I wonder if real killers do that.

Julie: when Cathyx mentioned Hernan attacking Katia in the recap, my reaction was "Oh No. We saw this coming."

Unless Teo is there to stop him, Katia is likely to be the 26th victim of the Body Count.

I wish i had had more time to do this recap. I could have had a lot more fun poking fun at things, like the truce scene, and the sex scene. They were both actually really funny.

Countx, thank you for the picture, but I'm not sure how to even go about putting that is. Maybe you can use if with your recap?

Jonas always seemed to have a problem with Omar too. He was very hard on him, and always believed Lucio over Omar.

Vivi, Sara is vulnerable, but so far she has Camilo believing her, so i think she's safe right now.

Julie, the way that Julia used the pregnancy, I don't see how she can get an abortion now.

Cathyx, I always feel that way when I recap Yago - I always wish I could spend more time on it. But it's so late by the time I write it up, and I'd have to watch it a second time to get the little details. Just have faith that what you've written is enough. (The truce scene and the sex scene were both pretty funny, though.)

Julia does seem to have resigned herself to having the baby. I guess there are worse motives for having a baby than to end a war.

We'll find out if Teo & the Avengers can save Katia in time, but it doesn't look good!

Thanks Cathyx. I enjoyed this episode right up till the minute that Katia was waylaid. Although I already had a sick feeling in my stomach as Lucio started feeding Hernan his poison. And I just continue to be so very sad about the senseless death of Ambar. It casts a dreary shadow over every moment of this story.

But as always, I'm hooked. Makes me think of Yago's line to Sara "Tú eres una droga". Guess we all have our addictions, eh?

Thanks so much for writing this up. Recaps are work for even the simplest stories. And these episodes are very dense.

Cathyx- No need to apologize. I'm just watching now, and I laughed so hard at the looks on Fidel and Camilo's faces when they heard Julia is pregnant.

Abel is either very brave or very stupid to tell a mafioso that he knocked up his daughter, while he's cleaning his guns.

I know Jonas' rejection was painful, but Yago needed to hear it. Melina has tried to drive home the point that vengeance isn't justice, but I don't think he really listened until Jonas laid into him. I do wish Jonas would have given him a hug first, but I think he's always held Omar to an extremely high (almost impossible) standard. Perhaps he saw in Omar the person he always wanted to be -- educated, an architect with a bright future. Omar, more so than Bruno, was an extension of himself. We see that he holds himself to a high moral standard, so it's not shocking that he does the same for his first born son.

Vivi: Getting a gut feeling that Hernan will target the Guerrero's again.

Thanks, Cathyx. Great job. Teo won’t be happy until he tells everyone about the pregnancy. -- lol. Teo was such a metiche in the middle of all the guns.

Vivi, you nailed Jonas. I think he's also deeply hurt that all this time Omar/Yago confided in his mom but not his dad. But, honestly, would a hug first have killed Jonas? He's way too hard on Omar and himself too.

Abel sure is teasing Viewerville, asking Fidel if he could smoke but then putting the cigarette behind his ear.

Yago needs therapy. I get hate sex, but this venganza sex again and again and again is nuts. At the moment, I'm more sympathetic to Sara than Yago. She's in a mess with Camilo, and now Lucio seems bent on doing her in. Doesn't Lucio realize he could get Sara killed ratting her out to Camilo? She's Mati's mom after all.

So let me get this straight:

Jonas believed that Omar was capable of pulling off a casino heist and murdering a security guard, but DOESN'T believe Omar is capable of running around hiding his identity and plotting revenge?

Yet when Lucio was accused and jailed of crimes, Jonas didn't believe Lucio could be capable of those type of things, and offered his support.

Meanwhile, he NEVER offered that type of support to Omar when Omar was locked up.

Jonas is a JonASS.

Anon207: Jonas was & still is a JERK!

Recap for the next episode is up!

Yep, Jonas is so wrong, especially considering he didn't support Omar when he needed it most. But Jonas has been a saint putting up with all the inexplicable things his wife does -- like going off with strangers and getting almost run over by a car, going off with a hitman she doesn't know and getting kidnapped and threatened with murder, and hocking the wedding ring he probably worked for years to earn to pay a bogus fortune teller -- that I still have a lot of sympathy for him.
