Tres Veces Ana #72 and #73 - It's My Party & I'll Cry Si Quiero

Color Guide:
*Rehash in Red
*Recall in Blue
*Reader Reactions in Green

RehashMarcelo is arguing with Evaristo about the contents of the security box. Marc wants to thank the secret squirrel that helped Alfredo. Santiago will just be a memory, and he'll go after everyone including Solebad. Ev threatens him if he does, but Marc is over this convo and boops Ev on the head, who is strategically placed in front of the bed so he can ballerina twirl before knocking out. Marc searches for the key, but an Ev seedling comes in. Marc ambushes him with orders to take him to his bromantic friend, Ramiro. Ramiro is tied up and gagged, just the way we like him. The grandthugs (gracias Ria!) are taunting him with a gun and waiting for Ev's orders. Llora sobs in her room.

Sleeping Beauty awaits Prince Charming

Recap: AnaLu sits with Nerina to apologize for getting them both in trouble. Nerina tells a despondent AnaLu not to worry, she can come to her for any help anytime. She went to the hospital that morning but didn't get a chance to see Santi. She asked her if she thinks they'll have a party ready by tomorrow. Our Ana Luchador is thrilled hearing this, this means he's gotten better and she'll see him soon!

Solebad confides in Remedios about AnaLu's dream which involved her real mother, and not her. Rem points out that these dreams are a result of Solebad's constant repression of everything AnaLu loves, i.e., Not letting her visit Santi, forcing her to quit Danze Aire, and her overall placement in the Solebad Witness Protection Program. Sole doesn't want her dangerously exposed, she's only looking out for her best. Rem counters "the best for her ....or you?" Both, she says. (Honey, even your name says you're "solely" focused on numero uno). Rem bangs the table with her delicate fist and tells her to open her eyes. "Stop justifying yourself and arguing with her. There's still time to fix things." Rem explains that at this rate, Sole may force her to leave the "Witness Protection Program" and start her own life. The only good it does is the kind where AnaLu leaves for good.

Leonora enters Erne's room, who happens to be rapidly texting her mystery cyberhunk. She tells Leo he's awakened her interest. Even though he built his fortune, he regrets being lonely as a result. Leo thinks it's never too late to find love for either of them. Erne then discusses having the house ready for Marcelo and Funky. Leo is apprehensive upon hearing this.

AnaLeprosa brings Llora her purse with her medicine in it. She offers her water, and is telling her to lie down. (Anyone else notice that ever since Santi's acceptance to her proposal, she's been nicer to Llora? Viewerville suspiciously gives the side-eye). When AnaLet asks if she needs anything else, Llora asks her to help her take off her prosthesis. She resists at first, but after Llora pleads, she reluctantly accepts. The whole time AnaLet freaks out and has a flashback to the accident. She cries and begs her forgiveness. Llora looks crestfallen. AnaLet continues to dress Llora's wounds, sorry that Leo's not there to better service her, but also scolds her for trying to run after the kidnapper's van. Llora tries to take over and do it herself so she's not bothered. AnaLet says it's not that, she keeps remembering the accident. Llora asks her if she had the same nightmare as her, and tells her that she felt AnaLu dream it too. They were all connected in that dream. AnaLet becomes upset. They were bonding so nicely, but then Llora had to bring her up. Llora asks her if she's ever felt random sensations --that's their invisible bond! AnaLet thinks Llora's meds are pretty strong, but Llora insists. She even cites scientific studies (woah, a TN that uses science and not tea leaves to back up its arguments? Color me impressed). AnaLet doesn't want her time wasted talking nonsense, especially when their biggest concern should be the missing bromance brothers, Marc and Ram. Llora quietly agrees.

Drug pushers always know their products

Solebad enters the room she shares with AnaLu and asks if she'd like tea to help her relax. AnaLu asks if she has tea to avoid dreaming. Sole has neither tea nor scientific research studies. They both discuss Chana's ability to interpret and how much they miss her. Sole offers to invite her a few days to visit. AnaLu perks up at this. Sole tells her she loves her more than anything, but AnaLu refuses for her to speak about love if she can't show it. In an attempt to rectify her mistakes, Sole won't oppose her returning to the dance troupe. She wants to help AnaLu achieve her dreams. AnaLu is elated and hugs her warden tightly.

Llora goes to pray and on the other side of town, AnaLu feels compelled to as well. The warden is never too far, she also kneels to pray alongside her.

I thought I told you "Lights Out", Inmate!

A gagged, but mumbling Ram keeps interrupting the grandthugs' UNO game. One grandthug goes to shut him up. Ram wants to know why he's there and who they work for. SlapHappy smacks Ram. That's for being nosy about Gina. His nosy nose drips blood. Ramiro begins trying to untie his hands as they continue their game and eventually breaks free. We pan back to our Sleeping Beauty who just woke up from his nap. Ev realizes Marc took his phone, so he makes a call from his other grandthug's cell to the UNO players "Kill that sad sap and disappear w/o leaving any mistakes". They approach our galan. But with the strength of karmic justice behind him, Ram high-fives Scrappy's face with his chair and wrestles the gun from Slappy. As he tackles Slappy to the ground, Ram orders him a nice Hawaiian Punch. (Viewerville: Yisss ....get him, 'Miro!). Scrappy gets back up pointing his gun at Ram. Ram releases Slappy. They promise that he's sure to die now, but not before they get even. Both guns are now aimed at our galan's head. But where is our other hero, Mario ...I mean, Marcelo?

A hysterical Ram: You forgot to yell UNO!

Dreadmundo gets a call from Ev, "You assured me everything would remain under control. We were only supposed to scare him off the Gina issue. If anything happens to himOk, I'll calm down". (Haha, that's a good boy). AnaLet overhears and asks him for any news. He says he just spoke to the agents, but couldn't get any updates. She's intrigued as to why he wasn't surprised to find out Marcelo was alive, despite him not speaking to Ramiro. He covers himself by saying Ramiro told him when he came to find Gina's file.

In the meanwhile, Slappy takes Ram to pound-town, but Ram has other plans and kicks Scrappy a bit higher than where I would've aimed. He then reacquaints Slappy with the floor, then knocks Scrappy's gun out of his hands. They tango until Slappy puts a gun to Ram's head. Another grandthug with a lunchbag is outside hearing the ruckus and pulls his weapon about to head inside. Luckily, our Mario has come for his Luigi and swiftly does a chiropractic adjustment to Snacky's neck. He enters just in time to stop Slappy and all it took was a whistle and a gunshot. A fourth grandthug appears out of nowhere to grab his gun awaywhat the...? (Anna counts her fingers). Where'd you come from, muchacho? Anyboogiewho, it doesn't take much for Marc to disarm Sneaky. Grandthugs turn over a thick wooden table as a shield. Ram runs over to his hero and they hide behind a ....flimsy casket? (Viewerville cocks one eyebrow). Crossfire and muscles rippling everywhere. (Viewerville fan themselves). Marc shoots them both down, Ram runs to his hero's side and sees that he's bleeding. It's not a gunshot wound, just his stitches opening. Marc asks Ram to help him remember and prevent Santi from fighting him. But Dr. Jekyll/Santi comes to. He wonders how he ended up there and who shot these men. Ram explains that Marc rescued him. Santi is shocked and questions Ram "Do you still not think your friend a monster?" And right then, Sneaky shuffles and aims his gun at Santi, but Ram cleans his clock with his glock. "And me, am I a monster now too?". Santi thanks him for saving his pompas. Ram returns thanks, since he was close to a trip al cielo. They recognize the grandthug and his relation to Ev. Ram explains he's Gina's granddad, then helps get Santi to a hospital. (Viewerville cheers their galan duo as they exit).

So bromantic

Llora has a flashback to her birthday party.
AnaLet is pining for her Uncle wishing he were there with them. Ram abandons Gina to head back to Llora before they prepare to blow the candles. He tells her to wish for what she wants most in life. They each have a cake of their own. AnaLet feels the need to blow her candles seductively.  (Viewerville blows chunks).

Hey Marilyn, they said make a wishnot blow a kiss!

Just then Llora's phone rings, she sees the number and answers it. "Is it really you? Where are you?" Ram tells her he's fine, him & Marc returned back to hospital. She asks him to promise that he's ok. But he won't until he sees her and hugs her. "You don't know how eager I am, how much I need you ....and need to kiss you". (Viewerville copies this down for future Hallmark cards). Eventually she and their family show up at the hospital. "Despues de ti" plays as Llora and Ram make out in front of an audience. AnaLet pouts with envy.

When Fools Rush In

Ev and his only other grandthug, Lasty, arrive to assess the damage. "I'm a cursed man, I shouldn't survive my family at my age. First your mom, then Gina, and now your brother who's name I can't recall". Lasty and Sole are all he has left. He sobs and hugs Lasty. Lasty declares that Marcelo Salvaterra must pay. Ev is patient, everything in due time. He then orders the place cleaned up and bodies disposed.

Funky and AnaLetonta welcome Santi to his new home. He looks around tentatively at his past. She wants him to begin anew and leave the past behind. She takes him to his room to settle in, he notices the broken picture of him. She hurriedly exclaims that she dropped it by accident and plans to replace it with the one at their other home. She can't understand why he didn't reveal himself to her then. He explains his confusion and reveals that he had his first memory there, with her perfume. AnaLeechesOn cuddles up to him. His problem was he also felt love for another. She begs him not to speak of her, but he wants to be honest. Despite starting a new life, Marcelo began to haunt him. She is emphatic that Santi doesn't exist, he shouldn't fight himself. She brings out wedding rings to solidify their new arrangement. He reminds her that 6 months is all he's willing to give. He then inquires about her Abue. She remarks that Abue is happy he's here, she's had to overcome many tragedies. He mentions their discussion in the hospital regarding the investigation of AnaLu. AnaLet wants to know what they discussed. He only remembers what he didn't want to concern Erne about, "That for no reason, you didn't want her found." We wonder if AnaLet presses her lips any tighter, would her butt-chin need it's own blur censor.
Take the red box, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes

Rodrigo and Miranda discuss him visiting Erne due to her condition. She thinks men don't give importance to these things. He thinks women turn small conflicts into tragedies. (yes, it's called the woman card. We can do that). Miranda thinks Erne having the love of her life back could help keep her heart beating. He ignores her entreaty, but wishes Erne the best. Viri is expecting them. They discuss the charity event. Miranda suggests the twins, Ana Leticia and Ana Laura, but Viri only works with professional models. Rodrigo teases that Miranda always wanted to have a jet-setter life in show business, but love got in the way. In Viri's case, love hadn't. When they end the meeting, Miranda asks Rodrigo what he thinks of her. He admits he finds her beautiful and lovely. (Not that he's much competition for Marrano, but it'd be a nice way to stick it to both Tio and Erni).

See? Told you it was legit

Funky greets Leo. They speak idly about his son's health and she tries to escape him to welcome Santi, but Funky keeps her there to thank her for the flowers she placed there, just like she used to leave him every morning. She says she has alot to do and goes vamoose. Funky gently grabs a flower, only to crush it apart. Pfft, psycho.

Sole and AnaLu prepare for the party. She wants to look beautiful for him, as his wife is said to look. Sole wonders if she'd like to be as rich as she is. "Who doesn't, but you taught me that's not what's important." She feels like the richest person because of Santi and her mother's love. They promise each other they won't fight anymore and hug each other. Sole then goes to help Rem in the kitchen.

Ram visits Santi, who is riddled with guilt over AnaLu. Ram advises him to tell her. Santi says he needs to keep his promise (Um *raises hand*, exsqueeze me. Uh yeah, hi. It's just us, Viewerville here. We know you've got amnesia and all, but didn't you make a promise to AnaLu first? Yeah ....you're an idiot). He asks Ram not to intervene, he wants to fix this his way. (No, this isn't Burger King. You can't always have it your way. This doesn't just affect you! *Looks around* Where the inferno is Inaki when you need him?).

No, Santi. Only 1 toy per happy meal!
AnaLu has a flashback to her visit with Santi in the hospital:
They promise to fight for one another, for their love. She won't allow anyone to separate them and he considers her the most valuable thing he has. She makes him a better person. (Are the writers testing us here? I feel like they're really testing us. Jerks).

Viewerville hurls their box of bon-bons at their TV

Santi can't believe how calm Ram is after what they did the previous night. Ram says he's distorting it, they needed to fight those criminals or they wouldn't even be having this conversation. Santi concedes that he's aware that this time was justified out of self-defense, but he's also aware of Marcelo's capacity to get rid of anything that stands in his way. Ram assures that his own memories of him are different. Ram regales a tale about a lunch date he had with Marcelo:
They both are laughing about Ram falling off a chair during his proposal to Gina. Ram wonders if he's rushing since they only met a few months before. Marc disagrees since he had the same situation with AnaLet, he knew right away she was the woman for him. But that's the problem for Ramiro as he hadn't had that hunch. Santi wonders if he has feelings for Ana Laura, but Ram insists they're best friends ....almost like siblings. A guy then bumps into an elderly couple clinking their glass. This sends Marc after him to teach him how to respect the elderly. The guy apologizes and is forced to replace their drinks.
Moralcelo lays down the law!

Santi says he doesn't get why he only gets the bad memories, especially the one forcing Gina to write that note. Ram tells him it can't be him that killed her, he was kidnapped because somebody doesn't want him to find out who the killer is.

AnaLet is standing outside the door and has her own flashback:
Gina is packing when AnaLet enters. She's sobbing to AnaLet, and tells her that Marcelo was there earlier with a gun threatening her life. (May we suggest the Solebad Witness Protection Program?). AnaLoba has a bigger issue about Gina's involvement with the other man in her life. The slap happy tirade begins again with AnaLoba flinging Gina down, wanting to know when she started sleeping with her uncle. She paid her alot of money to distract Ram from her sister. This is the thanks she gets after helping her find love with him, only to leave out the tiny detail that she'd been prostituting her goods for her uncle's duds. Gina denies that Ram knew anything, it's not why he canceled the wedding. AnaLoba wants to know where she put the pills she gave her that morning. Gina breaks down, she couldn't do it. AnaLoca throws the bottle at Gina and expects the "damn traitor" to swallow each pill one by one right in front of her. (Viewerville shudders).

Look kids, this is what a drug pusher looks like

Ram steps outside to find her listening. She admits she heard them talking about Gina and sees that he still cries for her. He clarifies that his intention is to find her murderer. Llora had already updated her on the fact he now wants to play detective. She makes pew-pew gun noises (Viewerville wants to pew-pew in her direction, too). He asks her to respect their deal and mind her business. She offers to save him time solving the crime. It's simple, she says. Just stand in front of a mirror. (Can't help but love this woman's sass).

Wow, totally stealing my moves.
Finger-gun dancing is MY thing!

Marrano has a flashback to him and Gina doing the dirty on her wedding day.
She thanks him for helping "relax" her wedding jitters. They joke about the ridiculousness of her getting married ...in white ....at a church, no less! She laughs at that, if only Ram knew all the sins she commited --most of them with him. He tells her he's not the only one who doesn't want her going through with it. Villaintin visited him earlier. He still blames Marrano for putting him in the wheelchair. Gina points out his accuracy. Marrano gets serious, and tells her to stop playing this charade, she still has time to change her mind. She doesn't take kindly to his threats and warns she can talk to Jennifer, as well as use evidence from Villantin's case against him. He reminds her it'll do her far more damage. She agrees that's why they get along and promises they'll remain lovers. He's not sure he likes her for Ramiro. She assumes he means to save Ram for his niece, except he had no clue of Llora's feelings until now. Gina could care less, today is her big day and no one's going to ruin it.

AnaLet has another flashback where she wakes up from losing consciousness.
She sees steam coming from under the bathroom door and follows a trail of pills inside. There she finds Gina drowned in a tub. She looks over to the mirror and sees the man, who once betrayed Marcelo, standing behind her.

The man who stands accused of Gina's death

Ram goes back in to finish talking to Santi. They try to figure out what could be Evaristo's game plan, why he wants to hide the truth behind Gina's murder. All they know is that everything he's told each of them was a lie, an attempt to get them to kill each other. In fact, the very gun they fought with was given to Ram by him. Santi can only remember Ev as a past friend whose life he saved. Ram warns that they need to be prepared, Ev won't hesitate an attempt to kill him again.

Ram then goes downstairs to pay his regrets to Llora, he has to go work on a hotel project for his boss but plans to make it up to her with dinner later. We see AnaLet eavesdrop on them. Llora accepts and says she has met his boss. She thinks that he and her Abue know each other. Ram wonders why she'd say that. She merely states that her Abue has many secrets. She brings up the possibility that Erne hired another detective. Ram is none too pleased about this, he thinks he's capable of handling it. Llora doesn't think it's a bad idea that he keep looking while a professional also works on the case, the most important thing is that she gets found. He agrees and recalls that the 2 girls were very close. AnaLet shakes her head and pouts. Llora agrees she related to her most. She ponders how her life might've been different had they grown up together. Ram vows again to fulfill his promise. AnaLet looks more hurt than angry.

When Sole leaves the kitchen, Rem & Nerina discuss the other twins. Ana Laura is the sweet, disabled one with pain in her eyes. And the other? Completely different, she's haughty and arrogant with eyes that make the blood run cold. Rem is surprised this is the one her godson is married to. Nerina wants to learn more about them, but Rem warns that Sole can't know. They agree to wait until Santi arrives to find out if it isn't too prudent of her to inquire about them. Nerina feels that she's the only one who could tell him where they live.

Ev visits an inebriated Villaintin. He tells him about his meeting with Marcelo in the hospital using the gun Ev gave him. Ev thinks him an imbecile. Tin is upset that everyone he swore revenge on is still alive, only the bottle of alcohol calms his rage. Ev says he's worked on his revenge for 20 years, he expects the same patience from him. Despite losing his grandson, he's not crying or complaining like Tin. He wants to know how he plans on getting closer to Llora. Tin is working on a foundation project for kids, but Llora won't accept. Ev resolves that she won't turn it down if the foundation is in financial need, "I have the right person in the right place, don't worry." Just then we see Dreadmundo at the foundation, discussing the charity event. He's given the responsibility of taking documents of the foundation's monthly accounts with him.

Leo finds Erne strolling the grounds at night. She's happy that love returns to the house. She's also waiting for a response from her cyberdaddy. Erne wonders why Leo won't call her by her first name, she has the same rights as Erne. Leo remarks that they didnt exist for her, nor her mother. Funky overhears this from his window as he gets dressed. He thinks her a quality investment, she'll soon be brave enough to ask for all that is hers one day. (Whattacreep)

Ana Lencería comes in wearing lingerie from a pro-wrestling costume shop. Santi is afraid of the cage match that's sure to follow. The tigress crawls all over this doe-eyed pup with the prowess of a boar in heat. Santi begs her not to do this. She whines in the pouty manner she uses on her tio (when she doesn't get her way). He says he doesn't feel well and his wound still hurts, he just wants to sleep. The hurt lamb puts her fleece robe back on, and leaves licking her wounds. He then gets up and places Marcelo's photo face down.

And in this corner, standing at 5'5 & 120 lbs of pure rabiosa...

Llora is waiting for Ram to take her dinner. AnaLet lectures her about how late it is. Well, until he arrives, she'd like to clarify some things for her but they can't talk there. She then impatiently chastises her to hurry up. Llora follows in exasperation. They go down to the storage room with all their childhood belongings. AnaLet begins to pull out a box of AnaLu's things and flings them at Llora. "Since she's your favorite, here are the belongings of your beloved. You can stay here until you're done weeping for her. I hope you're happy!" AnaLet runs out and locks her in. Llora calmly goes through the items, caressing and hugging each one.

The Chamber of Secrets

At the pension, the party is ready, and they hear someone coming. They shut the lights and yell surprise! Funky appears all by his lonesome. They want to know why Santi isn't with him. Funky exclaims very proudly that his son finally came to his senses and decided to save his marriage. He tells AnaLu directly that her relationship with him was doomed to fail, he confused her for his wife. If someone is responsible, it's her mother who knew it'd end up a tragedy. AnaLu denies this, her mother wanted to separate them but the strength of their love overcame it. Funky says the divorce won't happen and Santi won't return to the hostel either. AnaLu refuses to believe a word until Santi says it himself. He promised to fight for her, for his madrina, for their love. Funky claims that Marc remembered everything and made his final decision. AnaLu runs off in tears. Orblando snidely chirps that the party was a success after all. Maribel calls him a bastard and knocks him out of her way to run after AnaLu. Sole and Bel try to calm her down. AnaLu cries that it was all a lie, he betrayed her and his promises. She then turns on Sole and demands to know what Funky meant by her knowing it'd end like this. She noticed that Sole wouldn't let him talk and pleads with her to be honest for once. "What part did you play in Marcelo's life, why is his father blaming you for my madness?"

Y'know your face could get stuck like that, right?

Ram arrives to pick up Llora, Leo offers to go get her. AnaLet starts to feel bad and goes back to the storage room. Llora doesn't even look up. "Ahh, you came back. You always do this, you take advantage of my love for you. But don't worry, I forgive you". AnaLet is regretful, she does these things without thinking only to realize her mistake later. She doesn't even want to do these things, even less to Llora who's always been so kind to her. Llora wants to know if AnaLu being alive is really that upsetting. AnaLet insists she's dead, but Llora says nobody has proven it. Their parents bodies were found, but not their sister's. AnaLet says she has to be dead, because to keep looking for her reminds her the accident was her fault. (Well, yeah). Llora placates her, she couldn't have known. They were little and just playing mischief. Llora begs her to find counseling, she hates seeing her suffer. She promises to keep it secret between them. She reassures her that if she seeks help and allows them to continue their search, finding AnaLu would be a blessing since all the ghosts that haunt her would disappear. She's a part of them three (Tres Veces, get it?). Llora knows AnaLet loves and misses her too. AnaLet concurs that yes, she does miss her.

A shrink on craigslist awaits you

Thank you, Anna.

Before I even read the recap, let me just say:

STUPID STUPID SANTI I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, I feel better now.

LOL, Julie! Yeah. Santi needs a slap upside the head for what he did to Ana Lucia. I'm rooting for Marcelo to take over more often.

I was really struck by the scene in the girls' kiddie room (nursery?). What a great example of how different Laura and Leticia are. To Leticia, that room is like a torture chamber. She actually thought it would be a nightmare for Laura to be stuck in there. It would certainly be a nightmare for Leticia. But Laura enjoyed reliving the good memories.

Even knowing that AnaLet was already a brat before the crash, I still think she must have bumped her head really hard in the accident. There's something seriously wrong with her, that isn't wrong with her sisters. I feel that it can only be explained by brain damage!

Or maybe it is the intense guilt that has messed her up. Perhaps AnaLet feels that, because she caused the accident that killed her parents, she's already damned and thus has no reason to refrain from killing additional people.

Looking forward to the recap. But a few things:

1. I wasn't happy about seeing Marc/Santi agree to 6 months with Ana Le and breaking Ana Lu's heart.

2. This the first time I ever saw any kind of empathy or compassion from Ana Le with Ana Llora. It was a touching scene to see Ana Le actually help out Ana Llora with her prosthesis and be compassionate about her pain. The next time was when we see them have an argument and Ana Le locks her sister in the basement with all the old clothes and toys. Ana Le has a change of heart and returns to the room unlocking the door and confessing how she feels responsible for the accident that killed her parents. And then she admitted that she misses Ana Lucia too! I never thought that would happen.

3. Why the heck is Facundo staying at Abuela's mansion too? He's rich enough to get his own place. He should go see Mariano about selling him a nice piece of real estate.

Thanks in advance, Anna.

Julie, Vivi, count me in on that slap upside the head for Santiago. What humiliation for Ana Lucía with Facundo showing up to tell them how things were.

Julie, Ana Leticia does seem to be twisted and damaged by the guilt of the accident. Her reaction to the injuries to her sister's thigh was in keeping with that guilt, too.

Ana Leticia's scene with Gina and the pills was chilling.

Sort of a surprise: how easily Santiago/ Marcelo and Ramiro fought off Evaristo's minions. Santiago/Marcelo snapped that guy's neck like he had done it a hundred times before and there was no hesitation with Ramiro finishing the other guy off.

No surprise: tío Mariano and his wandering ways with Gina on the eve of her wedding,

Jarifa, I was quite disgusted with Mariano. How little regard he must have had for Ramiro to be with Gina the night before their wedding.

It's a shame Jennifer was killed, but I can't imagine that Mariano would have been a good husband. Do people really change? Why did he suddenly think that he could be a one-woman man with the very same woman he'd cheated on a million times? It's not as though Mariano was just a tad mischievous. He didn't just cheat a little. Fooling around with the fiancee of someone you know is hardcore jerkitude.

Yeah, we've got very few guys to root for in this. Ramiro, SantMarc, the good Doc, Inaki's dad, and Rodrigo. That's all we've got for "good men", and even SanMarc is on the bubble. I had thought that Jennifer's death had turned Mariano around, but that was before knowing the extent of his jerkitude. Now I want Viridiana to stay far, far away from this jerk.

Anna...LOved the title....SHout out to the singer of that song LEslie Gore.

Ah...sweet SAnticelo , pretty but not too smart.

Re: players. .JUst went to The jewelry store where Hubba bought my engagement ring to have the setting checked. Hubba mentioned my jewelry box being stolen years ago and that we called a police officer who was a friend. The guy's name eventually came up , and the saleslady said "OH, I know him...do you know Sandy?" Hubba said my face completely changed as I told her "No....I know his ex wife ..she is obe of my best friends." I also let her know exactly what I thought of that cheating husband. Sandy was the other woman my friend's hub cheated on her with. Some guys just cannot commit to one womsn. Que lastima.I think that there is a name for those types of hombres in Spanish. MAriano is perhaps just too goodlooking for his own good. THe women just line up for him , and he can't or won't resist. PLayers gonna play, and some women think that any guy is fair game..married or not.

"hardcore jerkitude." Love this Julie!!!

Pretty men, getting harder to root for them. SanMar is starting to drive me batty--maybe it's the writing. Not consistent as to what he does, what he remembers, and why. And Mariano, what you said Julie. Gees.

My one thought watching Ramiro help take out those guys--the accountants I work with sure couldn't pack a wallop like that. And not even an eye blink finishing that guy off.

Maybe it's me, but I found nothing "sexy" in that bondage get up AnaLoon wore trying to seduce SanMar. She's had less on going to the office that was sexier. And why does any guy want to kiss that bright red lipstick? I know it's like her sick trademark, but the way she layers it on, a guy might slip right off trying to kiss her. and then result - disgusting clown face. Just sayin'

Interesting reaction from the Loon to Llora on the prosthetic. Do we take it that was the real first time she has seen what her sister dealt with? you would like to think it would be a positive move to change, but yeah, when all is said and done, if her sisters are in her way of her goals, all that asking for forgiveness would go right out the window.

Jardinera and Ria, thanks for terrific recaps for Friday and Monday. Anna, looking forward to your recap of last night's skullduggery.

How could a cruel, snobbish jerk like Facundo have been so in love with a house servant like Leonor that he even proposed marriage?

I put AnaLu's hurt squarely on Santi. He couldn't pick up the phone and tell her that he was going to do a 6-month sexless stint with AnaLe just to get her to sign divorce papers?

Ev's goons weren't going to stop till somebody killed them, but Ramiro's reaction to his first killing wasn't realistic. The writers should've given him a moment to process the horror of it all. So now he's a gangsta accountant? Please.

Grrr! SantMarc what are you thinking?? How could you??? AnaLet sure is persistent/annoying, all in SantMarc's face as he awoke, did y'all see his disappointed face when he realized it was AnaLet and not AnaLu?

Facundo is such a jerk to make a special trip to the pension and burst AnaLu's bubble like that, I felt so bad for Rem and AnaLu, (not Solebad, I'm glad she was squirming at the thought she'd be caught), I really thought for a moment this was going to be how AnaLu would find out about her sisters and the rest of her story.
now we also know Facundo's ulterior motive for wanting to get close to Leonor, he knows that somehow she has "el Mismo derecho" (same rights to a fortune) than Ernie, he reconfirmed this as he was eavesdropping on Ernie and Leonor while he was getting ready to go to the pension. What's the deal with Facundo? I don't know why he would want Leonor's piece of the pie, doesn't he have his own money?

that big frumpy (comfy/fluffy) robe AnaLet was wearing didn't seem to go with her little outfit, I am soo glad SantMarc did not fall into her web and rejected her advances yay!
I am looking forward to the recap, there is so much going on in this story it's making my head spin.
So now that AnaLu is "allowed" to go back to Dansaire she will have to spend time with Dorklando, I hope that nothing happens there please I don't think I could contain myself.

Am I the only one who doesn't want SanMarc to be with Ana Lucia? I just can't get to grips with their relationship. I keep comparing to real life and it still doesn't feel right in my head. I just can't imagine myself being married to a man, then he gives me a divorce just so he can marry my sister, it just sounds a bit sickening. I would be very disappointed...I am just imagining what the whole Alvarez de Catillo family would feel when they find out that, not only was SanMarc aware that Ana Lucia was alive, but he was also dating her. This is going to make situations too awkward for the entire family, and they are going to hate him for it.

Niecie, I wondered the very same thing about Leonor and Facundo last night. In fact, I had forgotten that they had had a thing. They really don't seem like each others' type.

1) Ana Lucia needs to understand and realize she's the SIDE CHICK. It doesn't matter how Santiago feels, it doesn't matter how much he loves her. Santiago/Marcelo can NEVER give Ana Lucia her proper place while he is married to another woman.

2) Ana Lucia can never be given her proper place as along as EVERYONE keeps the truth from her. All of this mess can be stopped ASAP if she knew the truth. IMO if Santicelo REALLY wanted to be with Ana Lucia, he'd tell her the truth about her origins, but he probably also knows if he DID tell her the truth about her origin she'd likely not want to be with him, as he is her brother in law.

3) Rat Daddy & FU are terrible fathers.

4) At least Maribel was truly supportive of Ana Lucia for once when FU came by to "inform" her.

5) It was actually kinda "hot" when Ramiro popped off those dudes.

6) Ana Laura probably knew she was locked in the basement and she knew Ana Leticia would come back for her, as always.

Sorry,

7) Rat Daddy and Evaristo are probably cleaning out Ernestina & the Anas of their money as we speak

8) I want to know who Evaristo has been waiting 20 years to get revenge on.

I'd rather SanMarc with non of the sisters tbh...from today's episode, I think I AM starting to understand Ana Leticia's behaviour; not justifying it, but I think I understand. It seems that from when the triplets were young, Ana Lucia and Ana Laura must have been very close (it probably made Ana Leticia feel like the third wheel), and also what I got from previous episodes was that their parents gave more attention to the other two because of their skills (Ana Lucia with her dancing and Ana Laura with her piano skills). Her jealousy probably developed from there, and the only way she felt she could have attention was to cause trouble. After the accident, I think Ana Leticia has a great void in her due to a lot of guilt, and the only way she feels better is by trying to get as much attention as she can, because she feels like if people love her then maybe she isn't as bad as she is. The problem is that, she can never fill that void no matter how much love she receives from people; even if her uncle reciprocated her feelings, she still would never be satisfied. She seriously needs medical help.

Anon 207, that's right, who did Ev mean when he said he's been working on his revenge for 20 years? That would be around the time of the accident that killed the triplets parents, what if the accident was provoked by Evaristo way back then? And it was not AnaLet's fault at all ? What was the name of the triplets mom? Could it be ....Margarita?

Also, I just remembered that when Marcelo knocked out Evaristo, he searched his pockets and took that little notebook (and cell phone ) that Evaristo writes his notes in, where did that end up at???

The triplets' mother's name is Lourdes.

Considering you are not a crazy, homicidal maniac like Ana Leticia, I'm sure you would feel and react quite differently than she will. And precisely when the family finds out Ana Leticia is a cold-blooded murderer, I don't think they'll have any problem with Marcelo switching to a saner sister. :) But yes, before that happens, everyone is going to be very upset.

Looking forward to the recap!

I hate Edmundo and Facundo. Did I understand that right that Edmundo was in on Ramiro's kidnapping and knew Evaristo was behind it?
Facundo had no right to say those things to Ana Lucia. At least Maribel was helpful. I hope she's starting to turn around and be a good friend to Ana Lucia.

It looks like there's someone else who might know what happened to Gina from that flashback. That mystery friend of Marcelo's. Wonder if we'll find out who he is.

That scene with Ana Leticia and Ana Laura was interesting. I was hoping Ana Leticia wasn't going to ruin Ana Laura's plans with Ramiro. I like them together. I hope they get a happy ending.

I can't wait to see what happens tonight when Ana Leticia comes face to face with BSC Marcelo.

Nothing justifies causing trouble to get attention.

Kudos to Ana Llorona for saying the "p" word we've been waiting for. However, I don't see much possibility of Ana MeMeMe going to one seriously. She reminds me to some extent of Daniela in PyP who went after anyone her sister was interested in to prove herself to be the "better" woman. I therefore am not buying her empathy scene. It looked more like horror and I'll bet that within an episode or two she will be back to running her sister's ego down once again. As SantMarc continues to resist her questionable charms she will start chasing Ramiro again.

As to Ramiro being able to do what he did, I think he and Marcelo had to have had something in common in order to be close friends. Ramiro might be more badass than we thought or how else could he survive such a nasty father? Does anyone else think it possible that Gina fooled around with Ratmundo, too?

Mariano has to also be some kind of sociopath to have boinked Gina on what was supposed to have been her wedding day to Ramiro, whom he would have known for a very long time based on how long Ramiro has known the girls. That's about as cold as it gets.

Which makes me agree that he would have make life hell for Jenny if she had lived. In fact, his cheating ways are exactly what Ana Loon would deserve if she got her incestuous desires satisfied. I'd say that alone would keep a shrink busy for years.

UA...I was thinking of P y P , too. That tn had another galan involved with two sisters...one as good as bread and the other an evil seductress like AnaLetme.

There are a lot of despicable people in this show..male and female.

I would really like a showdown between those two man-eaters AnaLetme and Gina.

Will wimpy Santi be able to resist teeny AnaLetme's charms?

Now that we have seen that Ram can be a bada$$, will he save the day once Santi and Marcelo have merged into one sane personna somehow?

Susanlynn- I had hoped for a showdown between AnaLet and Gina too, but the flashbacks last night showed that did happen, and Gina let AnaLet slap and drag her around. I was very disappointed in her. I'm hoping that was just because she was feeling vulnerable after being threatened by Marcelo and Mariano, and then dumped at the altar by Ramiro, but I expected more fight from her.

Now for Facundo...

I completely agree that what he did to Ana Lucia was totally out of line, even sadistic. It doesn't even make sense because once Ernestina sees Ana Lucia she would become an equal heiress. Also, it's not like Facundo doesn't have his own dinero. What is his motive and why is he using Leonor?

Does he know anything about Ratmundo's financial shenanigans? Is he possibly also connected to Evaristo?

The one good thing in that scene was watching SoleBad squirm. This might be what it takes for Remedios and Nerina to really double-team SoleBad and break her silence.

I also caught the "20 years ago" reference from Evaristo. No coincidence that this was also when the accident happened, which is why the scene was shown again in the dream shared by all three sisters. Ev had nothing to do with it unless he somehow put Ana MeMeMe up to it (Far-fetched, but not impossible). We don't know what their father did for a living or whom Evaristo is getting revenge on. Could that be Mariano?

Ramiro needs to keep his cool. He seems to be the only important person in SantMarc's life to have seen his two faces change before his eyes. He needs to suggest a shrink to help him integrate the two personalities.

Urban- Ana Lucia makes SantMarc want to remain Santiago and not return to being Marcelo. Doesn't matter to Facundo that she's an heiress too. Having her in SantMarc's life would bring along all the other pension people too.

I am surprised that he seems to be after Leonor because (it appears) she's also an Alvarez de Castillo heiress. Why? He has plenty of his own money.

It about time they revealed this whole storyline between Leonor and Ernestina. They've made it so obvious that Leonor is the illegitimate child of Erni's father and the maid. If Erni really wanted to stop the foolishness, she would just announce it to the whole family at once, and tell them Leonor is a part of the family and no longer a servant in the house. I don't see how she sleeps at night having her little sister waiting on her family hand and foot like that. I wonder if their dad made Leonor an heir in the will, or if Erni is just saying she's willing to split the fortune with her out of the goodness of her heart/a sense of fairness? Leonor is stupid to refuse.

Let's s face it..for some people, having money means that they always want more money.

As to SantMarc's decision, I'm baffled unless he had no intention of going through with it: He would have made this agreement to put himself in an environment where he would regain the lost memories because they have info he needs. This doesn't make it any easier because the rock and hard place is between the two sisters.

We've certainly seen galans end up between two sisters before:

Juan del Diablo in any version of CS
David in PyP
Ivan in LFDD
Juan Cristobal in ENDA (but only because of Carloca's obsession)

I'm sure there are many more, but did any past series involve identicals?

Vivi, I also think this about Ernestina and Leonor, but why the hell has Ernestina never acknowledged this? How long ago did her father die? Maybe this would have been a scandal 30 years ago but that's long over.

I got the feeling this morning when I watched that Facundo was thinking of Ana Lucia as garbage and you have just clarified this. Guilt by association. As to why he objects to "Santiago" (a name that I think suits SB more than "Marcelo"), he has clearly not realized that sooner or later the past three years will have to be part of his son's personality and future. You can't erase that and his attempts at doing so will not be helpful.

They each have a cake of their own. AnaLet feels the need to blow her candles seductively (Viewerville blows chunks).

Excellent Ana. I pretty much was blowing chunks the whole episode. Sooooo maddening. I hate it when everything gets thoroughly messed up and I know we're going to be wallowing in the Slough of Despond for weeks on end.

But thanks for the thoroughly irreverent and irritated recap. I'm right there with ya lady!

Oh and pardon if someone else has answered this but as to the mystery of the romance between Leonor and Facundo, he evidently knows or suspects her parentage and is planning on cashing in on it. He's furious at the moment that Leonor has rejected his long ago offer of marriage (the crushed, torn rose) but figures eventually his "emotional investment" in the sirvienta abnegada will pay off.

Thoroughly despicable guy. Just like in Pasión y Poder.

And goodness, I sure am disillusioned in my blue-eyed boy Tio Mariano. He seems to have been a thorough going skunk in the past. But I'm still betting the feisty Vridiana can reform him. Not because this would be likely in real life, but because one trope of telenovelas is that True Love is transformative and makes us better people.

Anna--Did you post a draft by mistake? It seems to be taking up most of the front page but doesn't have a label or a title. Both it and this posting have the exact same time.

I loved your snarky
Soledad's Witness Protection Program

Yea I was continuously updating my current draft and didn't realize that it posted as 2 separate blogs without the page break. It has since been corrected. Thanks for your heads up, Anita.

I've gotta be honest, I wasn't feeling it today. The "aunt" is visiting, and I have a job interview tomorrow. But mostly, this epi was exasperating living through it the first time lol. I'm so glad to be done with it. I will post screenshots another day I suppose. I'm pooped out, but thank you guys for contributing. I'll read all your comments later :)

Anna- Job well done on the recap, despite not feeling it. Before you totally poop out, could you copy the text for the unlabeled/untitled post and put it into this one?

Thanks, Anna. Terrific job. Your exasperation with this episode sure brought out your funnybone. Some of my favorites:

Ev threatens him if he does, but Marc is over this convo and bops Ev on the head, who is strategically placed in front of the bed so he can ballerina twirl before knocking out.

SlapHappy smacks Ram.

First your mom, then Gina, and now your brother who's name I can't recall."

Ana Lenceria comes in wearing lingerie from a pro-wrestling costume store. Santi is afraid of the cage match that's sure to follow.

Everybody, thanks for explaining Facundo with Leonor. What a louse. Poor Leonor.

Thanks, Anna! Don't forget to delete the other post too. Now, go rest!

Anna- I agree with Niecie that your exasperation with these episodes brought out the funny in you. You had me chuckling throughout.

Finally, the boys share their Evaristo information. And Ramiro's brain cells were fired up (maybe killing someone does that for you). He logically pointed out the SantMarc can't be the killer since these other dudes were so eager to stop him from investigating who killed Gina, and he realized AnaLet was eavesdropping outside the door. Good job, Ramiro.

Anna- If you go to the dashboard here, you should be able to delete your duplicate post: https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=25394992#allposts/src=dashboard

Slappy, Scrappy and Sneaky were my favorites.

Anna--Good luck with your interview tomorrow. All's well that begins well, eh? Put a big smile on your face and look them in the eye. 3VA is lucky to have you coping in triplicate.

Good advice Anita. Ana..I'm sure the whole blog line is pulling for you and sending good vibes((((()))))) for the interview. Go Ana Banana!

Thanks Vivi, I reverted it to draft until I made sure I edited the new one the same. It's been deleted. I appreciate you guys. I'm going to get some shut eye, then check back in :)

Aww spank you guys, spank you all on your pompas :P

Thanks, Anna! Sorry about your "aunt," but honestly, I thought this was your best recap so far. There's nothing like a rough day to bring on the snark. Plus, the fancy formatting.

But yes, the epi was exasperating. All of it.

"Ramiro is tied up and gagged, just the way we like him." Heh heh, he is less annoying when he isn't saying stupid things, like "I don't want to keep any secrets from you." So I'll vote yes on the gag for sure.

Good luck with your job interview tomorrow, Anna!

((((Anna)))) Good luck on your interview tomorrow. I am sending out good vibrations for you)))))))))).

Juan del Diablo in any version of CS
David in PyP
Ivan in LFDD
Juan Cristobal in ENDA (but only because of Carloca's obsession)

And in all of these tales the bad sister ended up dying (Aimee, Daniela, Maripaz ... Never saw ENDA) so Ana Leticia will probably have to die as well.

I actually thought David & Daniela in PyP made the better pairing, but Daniela was too messed up.

I also thought Ivan & Maripaz made a better pairing than Ivan & Lucia
