Happy Monday and happy last week of two hour episodes (…we
think anyway)!! This was a very action-packed episode, so get ready!
We return to Santi’s hospital room, where he and Facundo are
arguing over what sort of terrible people Santi has made acquaintance with in
those dark,, dark days when Facundo didn’t know Santi was alive (you know, when
Santi was allowed to grow an unkempt beard and live like a hermit in a cave
that didn’t even look like it had running water. Oh wait, that was Facundo, not
Santi! But anyway, we are sure those places Facundo is referring to are much, much
worse and have roaches to boot.) Santi wouldn’t hear any of it. And by the by,
while they are on the topic, he needs to warn Facundo to leave his madrina
alone – he knows that he treated Rem very badly. The whole scene from Friday is
repeated, as is the one with Rem and Sole with their musings on life and the
mysterious and powerful force of protection love has.
This concludes our rehash and we join Sole as she ponders
and kisses sleeping Ana Lu. Ana Le, at the same time, is visiting Santicelo,
who pretends to be sleeping. She makes
herself comfortable on the couch, as comfortable as you can be that is - in a
tight dress, all made up and with loads of jewelry. Leonor is helping Llora to
bed. Our case of mysterious triple coincidences tonight is…the dream of the
accident, which is happening in triplicate.
Ana Lu, though, sees an add-on scene of her in the water
crying for her mom, right before Sole “saved” her. Ana Lu wakes up upset and
calls for Sole to comfort her. She tells her how real the dream has felt, she
was desperate and crying for mom, but Sole was not her mom. Sole is not
impressed with that. She says it must just be that Ana Lu is scared from
everything that has happened recently with Santi. Ana Lu asks if they were ever
in any accident. Not that Sole knows of. Sole told her about that one time when
she almost drowned, didn’t she? No, that wasn’t a dream about that time, says
Ana Lu. Sole thinks to herself that one day Ana Lu will see the whole truth in
her dreams.
While Ana Lu is scaring Sole with her dream retelling, Llora
is crying in Leonor’s arms. She saw the dream, but also felt like she was
connected with the other two sisters. She needs to talk to Ana Le to see if
she, too, had the same dream.
While all of this drama is taking place, Santi is happily
having erotic dreams about his one and only night with Ana Lu. He wakes up to a
sweet kiss from someone who looks exactly like Ana Lu…and yet is someone
entirely different. He recognizes Ana Le finally, and tells her they need to
talk. He needs to spill the beans about something that her family already
knows. Well, sure, Ana Le is ready to receive this news. Besides, “Llora”
already told her that Marcelo thinks the car crash wasn’t an accident. Oh, he
is sure of it – someone was trying to kill him and has been trying ever since.
Well, honey, you had many enemies, helpfully adds his adoring wife. You didn’t
need to hide from me though (oh, but he so, so did.) Santi comes clean about
his memory and Ana Le looks properly surprised.
Sole meets Nerina on her way out and tries to strike up a
friendly conversation. Nerina, it turns out, has a spunky sarcastic streak and
a nice sense of humor. She declares she is not about to braid each other’s hair
and talk about misfortunes with Sole, so she will be on her way out. Sole
thanks her for helping Ana Lu and spins her story of just trying to protect
her. She then has the nerve to ask Nerina for help. Nerina will help, it seems,
– for Ana Lu. She advises Sole to tell the truth though. She didn’t need to
keep Ana Lu – she could have had other kids. Sole tells her she couldn’t have
any more kids after her first daughter and that daughter died in her sleep one
night. Ana Lu came into her life and saved her. Nerina doesn’t want to listen
any more. Sole made her an accomplice and stole the peace from Nerina’s life,
and yet from Ana Lu Sole stole much more – she stole her whole life.
Ana Lu, meanwhile, is cheerfully chatting with Maribel,
retelling her account of fighting her way into the hospital through hell and
high water. She wishes she ran into that infeliz Facundo, she would have shown
him! (Alright, Ms. Gymnastics Bodybuilder, that’s the fight many would be
interested to see I bet. Facundo, in his previous PyP role didn’t fare so well,
but maybe vegan diet at the cave helped him bulk up!). Ana Lu continues: she is
very happy, because Santi kissed her and in that kiss she felt that he loves
only her and his wife does not mean anything to him (Ms. Clairvoyant
Bodybuilder – superlatives keep piling up here…).
“Esposed” husband, at this time, is confessing to Ana Le
that he forgot everything, but not her. He saw her in his dreams, remembered
they loved each other. She kisses him, but he pushes her away. Ana Le starts
saying that she regrets judging him so harshly. He interrupts her saying that
he doesn’t want to stay married any more. The man she fell in love with does
not exist and he, Santi, loves another woman. Ana Le is picturing pushing that
woman off the skyscraper and stares at him intently. We applaud his resolve and
wonder how long it will last.
Ana Lu is still chirping away with Maribel. Maribel comes up
with the idea of a welcome back party for Santi and Ana Lu is all over that.
What would Ana Lu do without Maribel (have actual friends, I want to say, but
guess they were aiming for a different answer)? Seems all previous problems are
swiftly forgotten and the two are bff’s again. Maribel is off to the practice
and Sole shows up to trade places with her and keep Ana Lu company. Sole knows
Ana Lu is upset. Not upset, disappointed, says Ana Lu. Sole knows about Nerina,
because she wasn’t born yesterday, apparently. She would have wanted to go back
in time and have everything be as it was in San Nicholas. It is not Ana Lu’s
fault that it all changed, says Ana Lu.
In the hospital, Ana Le continues to court Santi. She asks
for more time together again. Santi doesn’t want to hurt her, but Ana Le wants
this opportunity all the same, and she takes full responsibility for her
feelings. If she gets hurt, that’s on her. And if it doesn’t work out for them,
she will return Marcelo his freedom.
Abue is debating with Leonor whether or not to tell Ana Le
and Llora about the investigator she hired. Leonor advises against that, as
sometimes she suspects that Ana Le does not want her sister found. Blind Abue
says it isn’t so, and Ana Le would be very happy to find Ana Lu. Leonor hopes
so too and she retreats from the room, while Abue gets back to checking out
match.com profiles.
Her (not so) mysterious admirer Rodrigo is having some
delicious authentic food he missed so much at Miranda’s. Miranda drops subtle hints
about Ernie’s latest health issues and her husband is not amused. He dismisses
there being anything to worry about and departs for work. Miranda is happy –
they can now chat about Rodrigo’s numerous emails he’s sent to this one lady,
who barely replies (Ernie). We think Rodrigo really needs a hobby.
Ana Le and Marcelo continue their post-mortem on their
marriage. Santicelo says he was disappointed to find out about Daniel and
cheating, and Ana Le wants to know if he remembers any of the good stuff, or
just the bad. What Santicelo needs to know is why Ana Le tried to run him over?
She has a facial expression of trying to frantically come up with an
explanation. Luckily for her, we cut the scene to Llora, giving Ana Le a couple
minutes to get her bearings.
Llora is visited by Ramiro, who wants to take her for a
walk. Oh no, she was really hoping to confirm the presence of the psychic
connections between the triplets from her super interesting dream experience,
but guess she can do that later too. Way to spoil exciting day plans,
boyfriend.
These couple minutes did not seem to help Ana Le. She is
spinning her wheels trying to explain herself. She was confused, scared, she didn’t
know?? Marcelo doesn’t understand!! She had to exhume the body of a stranger. Jennifer
actually helped her. Yes, yes, she helped and then she died! And then, Ana Le
found out that Marcelo was there that day. (We can almost see the neurons
firing in her scheming brain, as she realizes this is an excellent angle she
stumbled on). So how could Ana Le know that Marcelo didn’t kill Jenny? She was
so scared.
Santicelo emphatically denies having anything to do with
Jenny’s murder and asks about watching Ana Le break the windows on Tio’s car.
Oh, that? That has nothing to do with us. Neurons back in action, Ana Le
informs him that she has become impatient, nervous after he died. Only Marcelo
could calm her, and without him she reacts very violently to everything. She
was destroyed and did not have a second of peace since losing him.
Back at the match.com headquarters, Rodrigo feels a bit
stupid about his recent internet escapades, but Miranda has another platitude
up her sleeve – it is never late for love. Rodrigo switches gears: he saw
Ernestina and they went for coffee. Miranda wants to know everything, but is
told not to get too excited. Ernie gave him a royal brush off and he learned
another lesson – never to pay attention to her again. Fine, Miranda is ready
for a change of topic – how about that benefit? Turns out Rodrigo is opening a
new hotel and is throwing a benefit on the day of the opening. Miranda’s and
Ernie’s foundation is somehow involved.
Sole is back at Viridiana’s working and gossiping with Ceci.
Sole shares her point of view that for her – for Sole – it would be better if
Santi stays with his wife. Ana Lu is young – she will forget him. Ceci
disagrees – maybe it is good for Sole, but not for her daughter.
Viridiana shows up very happy that there is a fashion show
in the works at the benefit of Rodrigo Casasola. Everyone is recruited to help.
Back at the marriage counseling session, Ana Le informs
Santi he will be going home tomorrow. Good, he is glad. Ana Le is happy as well
and, if Santi doesn’t want to go to Abue’s, then she – a working woman now por
cierto! – will find them a place to live. She works at Tio’s real estate
agency, you know. Santi is asking her to slow down, he doesn’t want to do that.
Before he says anything, Ana Le wants him to watch a video and she will leave
him alone, so he can do so calmly. She hands him her phone with a video pulled
up and leaves the room.
At the hostel named Evil-People-Facundo-Loathes (or EPFL),
unsuspecting Ana Lu is chatting away with Remedios on how happy she is. Santi loves
her, though he did ask her for patience and not to fight face-to-face with his
wife. Remedios is stunned by the thought of what would happen should the wife
not give him the divorce? Ana Lu won’t think about it. There is no way, he will
get a divorce and return to them here at the hostel – to all the people who
love him. And by the way, Ana Lu and Maribel thought up this welcome back party
– what does Rem think? Rem is overjoyed – party will do them all some good.
Santi watches the video Ana Le left him. It is a self-shot
video right before they both got the tattoos. A cute little home video, Marcelo
talks and leaves messages to their future chidren – boys will need to
permission to get a tattoo and girls do not have the permission at all. Looking
at this video, the last thing once would think is that Ana Le is psychopath
crazy. Santi is visibly shaken by the video. Ana Le comes back in and Santi
tells her that his answer is yes, he wants to try and save their marriage. And
our answer to that is: Noooooo. Santi, et tu?
On to another couple: Ramiro and Llora are walking in the
park. He has something important to tell her, as they have decided not to keep
any secrets. (Before you get excited, no – he is not going to tell her about
Ana Lu). But he is going to tell her about Gina and his desire to start
investigating that “murder” again. Good, Ramiro, we are glad you got that one
off your chest. Llora, though, is not impressed and is a bit jealous. While she
is trying to rationalize her feelings and Ramiro comforts her, someone runs up
from behind, tases Ramiro, two other dudes grab him and try to stuff him in the
van. He tries to fight back and is tased again and deposited into the van.
Llora is screaming “No puede ser!”, but cannot deter the kidnappers and they
are off with Ramiro in tow. Llora is running to the phone to call TioM and ask
for help.
Back at the hospital, Santi is agreeing to try, but cannot
promise anything and if it does not work out, Ana Le would have to give him
divorce. (Incidentally, what is he thinking – Ana Lu will be waiting around for
him while he tries on his past life? With any TN luck, by the time he realizes
Ana Le is a murderous witch, Ana Lu will be married to Orlando and pregnant
with Santi’s baby). Ana Le, though, is
much smarter than we give her credit for. She promises to give this attempt at
saving their marriage her all, but Santicelo must promise the same. He does. She
says she will find a place for them to live, but he thinks it’s too soon and they
should just take Abue up on her offer and move in with her. They also need a
time limit. A year, says Ana Le. Six months, counters Santi. Ana Le agrees to
six months, but here is another non-negotiable condition she has: he must break
all ties with that woman he has been seeing, if he wants to try working on
their marriage.
Once again, unsuspecting people at the hostel, who are all
about to be broken up with by a man who cannot make up his mind, are planning a
welcome back party. Maribel has an amusing jealous face on that she gets called
out about by Ana Lu.
Cutting back to our would-be newly-weds. Santi wants to talk
once more time to Ana Lu, or “that woman”, to explain what is happening. Ana Le
is not on board – she didn’t have a chance to talk to Marcelo before he
disappeared, why should that woman get a different treatment. She isn’t stupid,
is she? When he disappears surely she will figure out what happened. Santi must
promise her, or else she will go find that woman herself and give her a piece
of her mind. Santi is alarmed by that threat and agrees to Ana Le’s conditions.
Facundo shows up with some clothes for Marcelo and Ana Le
shares their good news. Facundo could not be more excited and asks Ana Le for
coffee. As they exit, Ana Le’s phone, which is still with Santi, rings. It is
Llora with news about Ram’s kidnapping. Santi listens to her intently and the
next time we see him, he is pulling all of his lines off of him and grabbing
the gun. He has his Marcelo mode on.
Edmundo (who I decided looks like a rat or a mouse, or El
Raton) is sitting at home remembering talking to Nerina and telling her he’d help
with getting hospital to continue her husband’s treatment. On the way out of
Nerina’s house he runs into Gina. Interesting conversation ensues. He knows
about her past and time spent in jail, but he won’t tell, because he launders
money for Ev. Gina shares that she wants to become Tin’s wife and the owner of
this house. El Raton receives a call in the present and agrees to wait for
someone’s arrival. A couple of scenes later it turns out that it was indeed Ev
that he was scheming with. Ev comes in and they act as two good friends. Ev
remembers Gina, his favorite girl he loved to spoil. She was perverse though,
too, says Raton. It is not her fault, thinks Ev- the fault is in his own broken
genes. All of his descendants are like that. His grandsons are just waiting for
his death to get their hands on his business. But anyway, Ev is here to talk
about the headache that Ramiro has become lately.
Turns out it was El Raton, who warned Ev of Ramiro’s arrival
to Costa Paraiso, and that is how Ev was expecting him at Sole’s house. Then,
as we already knew, Ev stole Ram’s laptop. Ram is getting out of control, says
Ev. Same thing happened to Gina and when the time came, Ev didn’t hesitate to
resolve this problem (Is that the answer to our murder mystery? Did Ev kill
her?). So the question is – what does Raton want done with Ramiro? Sadly, from
Raton’s nickname we already know…
Ana Le and Facundo are comparing notes over coffee. What is
that woman like? Please, she is nothing and Facundo won’t let Marcelo throw
away his life for her. Ana le shouldn’t
worry – the less she knows about this woman, the better. Why does he say that –
does he think she cannot compete? No, no – on the contrary – Ana Le has the
class and the intelligence and will always come out on top. Nobody will take
Marcelo away while she lives, predicts Ana Le. She also shares the news that
they will live in Abue’s house and of course Facundo is invited. He happily
accepts. And we think that we are about to have a hostel #2 on our hands at
Abue’s!
After this conversation, Ana Le and Facundo come back to the
room and see that Marcelo has disappeared.
Intermittently we see shots of Ramiro tied up sitting in a
dark room behind some shady looking guys playing a game of cards. Ramiro wants
to know what they did to Llora.
Llora is meanwhile at Tio’s and very upset. Mariano asks if
she wants to go home, but she doesn’t want to scare Abue with the news. What if
they demand money? Will Tio help? Of course, he says.
El Raton shows up and offers, very helpfully, that he has no
additional information, though he was told that the first 24 hours are critical
if they want to see Ram alive. Llora cries.
Elsewhere Ev is coming back to his hotel room and sends his
grandsons away, but not before handing them his chewing gum to throw away. He
is alone now, says Ev and invites Marcelo to come out. Amazing perception!
Marcelo indeed is there with a gun.
Ana Le shows up at TioM’s as well and recounts the story of
Marcelo’s disappearance from the hospital. Llora, in turns, tells about her
conversation with Marcelo. Llora hopes Marcelo is out looking for Ram, but
Facundo says he doesn’t remember being an investigator and is simply putting
his life in danger.
Ram, still tied up, is remembering listening to Llora play
piano and then making plans to be her only guest at a birthday party that was
thrown for her and for Ana Le. Llora was happy.
Marcelo and Ev are catching up. How come Ev is still renting
the same hotel room, even with all of his ill-begotten money? Well, Ev is a
creature of habit. He was expecting Marcelo for a while and is happy to see him
and not that taxi driver. Really? Marcelo thinks he is in his right to kill Ev.
Ev is not afraid of death, but it is not his life that is in danger now, but
Ramiro’s and it is actually in Marcelo’s hands. Ev wants the key to Alfredo’s
safe deposit box or Ramiro dies.
This negotiation continues for a couple more scenes. Marcelo
denies having the key and Ev says that is a lie. Marcelo has a flashback to the
day he spoke with Samuel in his office when Samuel handed him that key (that
was the same day that he fainted outside). Marcelo threatens Ev with a gun, but
Ev says that if anything were to happen to him, Ramiro is as good as dead.
Marcelo would never let Ev have what’s in that box. Ev needs to go to jail and
get his. Well, Ev explains to us that the only evidence that could land him in
jail is in that box (presumably why he wants it). Ev also wants to know who
helped Alfredo fake Marcelo’s death and get the body for the coffin. Marcelo
doesn’t know, except Alfredo told him it was one of Ev’s friends and a much
more powerful one than Ev himself. Ev doesn’t believe that, but thinks the
answer is in the box. Marcelo’s patience is ending – where is Ram? He hits Ev
on the head and tries to look for the key. One of Ev’s grandsons shows up at
that time to check up on Ev (are they all just sleeping outside the hotel room
door?) and Marcelo points a gun to his head and demands to be taken to Ramiro.
Back at crime solver’s HQ, aka TioM’s house, Ana Le talks
with Llora and tells her that Marcelo must have gone to look for Ram. Llora
tells her she feels bad about the fight she had with Ram. Ana Le uses the
opportunity to spin her own agenda – she, Ana Le, made peace with Ramiro and
will continue trying to trust him for her sister. Though Llora should be
careful and remember that a better woman might appear and take him away, as it happened
already once. Llora needs to learn to fight for what is hers. We think she also
needs to learn to spell a couple of curse words.
Llora goes into a flashback and remembers that birthday
party, when Ana Le introduced Gina and Ram and Gina took over Ram’s attention.
El Raton comes over in the present to “cheer” Llora up. He gives a long speech
to Llora. Even though Llora loves Ram and Ram thinks he is in love, he does not
realize all he is giving up. He never knew what he wanted, and he will change
his mind with Llora, as he did with Gina. Raton does not want Llora to suffer.
Ramiro just feels guilty about Gina’s suicide and will never be happy because
of it. Can’t tell with Llora, but we hope she didn’t buy it.
Ana Le is discussing staying at Tio’s (her life’s dream) now
that Llora is here to support Llora. She already covered for them with Abue.
Ana Le tries to pry into Abue’s investigation, but Mariano does not say much about
Ana Lu. Facundo comes in with Rodrigo. Llora and Ana Le compare notes about
seeing Abue very nervous around this man several times.
Ram is still tied up somewhere, but his jail-keepers are
ready to kill him. Where does he want the bullet – to the head or the heart? We
find out tomorrow if Superman Santi comes in time!
