Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 25 (Aug 8, 2016) 2d Half

Aplogies ahead of time for ruining a nice little nursery rhyme.
A nod to Kendra for the idea.

Oh where oh where has Pedrito gone?
Oh where oh where can he be?
With his ears cut long and his hair cut short
Oh where oh where can he be?

Oh where oh where has the little boy gone?
Oh where oh where can he be?
I think he went down to the landscaping site
To see what he could see
While his folks all reveled without a care

I think I saw him by the tractor
Playing and running around
While his folks all reveled without a care

But I just can't see him anymore
He just can't seem to be found
While his folks all reveled without a care

Who knows where he might have decided to go
Perhaps someone at Televisa will know
Maybe his real mommy came and took him away

Since the trend if for Monday endings and Tuesday starts the new telenovela, I would like to recap the last episode.

"Maybe his real mommy came and took him away".

Yes, perhaps!

Thank you for starting the day off with a smile Anita.

I cannot believe the ending is in sight. What a marvelous time we've had here - wonderful camaraderie...

I'm sure the writers have a few tricks up their sleeves for us!

Diana

Hee!! I am sad though that this particular novela is ending, both because it's been fun and the group here has been fun to participate in. I'm glad I de-lurked.

Recap up in a sec for Thursday!

Recap Episode #113, Thursday, August 11, 2016: Let's Dance! (part 1)

We begin with wedding reception shenanigans:

- Carlos and Fernanda flirt and dance and stroll around at the reception.

- It's time to cut the cake and Paco is on it!

- Mariana sits there in her white dress and pouts. Amelia comes up to her and tries to make nice.

- Carlos and Fernanda continue to flirt and dance and stroll around. Even more interesting, in the background we see Felipe flirt with Camila.

- Rosaura takes Pedro aside and tells him she's happy for him. He tells her that he's been grateful for her counsel all these years.

Meanwhile, at the De Leon school of modeling,

-Isy and Teo quietly argue about the Malq, while she changes out her flats for impossibly high heels and weird dramatic music plays. Having got the shoes on, Malq brings out a music player and tells them she is going to dance and sing. She plays a track and does exactly that - sings along with the track and dances quite well in the high heels. Teo is digging it. Isy not so much.

Recap Episode #113, Thursday, August 11, 2016: Let's Dance! (part 2)

Back at the reception:

- Carlos and Fernanda continue to flirt and dance and stroll. While dancing they spy Marissa and Iggy dancing too and it's obvious there are some sparks there. Carlos and Fer speculate and giggle about Marissa and Iggy. He will be glad if his mom finds a good man, but extra glad if it's his man Iggy. Suddenly Iggy asks Marissa to go off and walk. Oooooooh!

- Amelia avoids Pedro's beard while dancing. (Props to the person who noticed this and mentioned it - you were so right!)

- In a private part of the garden, Iggy lets Marissa know he wants to talk to her. She thinks it's about the bank, but he says not this time. He starts by telling her that she has had his heart along, through her two marriages, from the start. He held off out of respect, but now she's free and he would like a chance to win her heart. It's so sweet! I was swooning.

- Marissa has a better memory than me and remembered the two times Iggy went on a date with Amelia and wonders if Iggy should've gone for her. (Um Marissa, you are at Amelia's wedding!) Iggy is like, well Amelia's attractive and all, but you have my heart! Swoon. Marissa says she is honored, but afraid after everything, but you know what Iggy? You have my heart too! They embrace. <3

Back at the modeling school:

- Malq finishes up the dance. Teo really liked it. He asks her name and she tells him "The Malquerida." He thinks that will make a great stage name and that the public will really go for her. Isy looks appalled.

- Dr. Arteaga (Marcos) shows up to pick up Malq and take her to the reception. Malq uses the opportunity to stick it to Isy that she'll be hanging out with Carlos and the gang and Isy wasn't invited. After Malq and Marcos leave, Isy tells Teo the wedding was not important.

Back at the unimportant reception:

- Dance Dance Dance! It's like watching American Bandstand, Mexican wedding style! Carlos and Fer twirl, as do Jose and Blanca. Sonrisa gets down and boogies! Javier and Maribel are very smooth together, as are the freshly arrived Malq and Marcos. Ooh, Felipe has Camila out on the dance floor. Best dancer award goes to Pedro in his white wedding suit. He looks like John Travolta and has some moves. His new wife Amelia, um, not so much.

Now to the jail infirmary:

- Luis dreams, first recalling when he first hit Fer with his car, and then some other Fer memories. Ah the good times.

Back at the reception:

- Apparently Pedro and Amelia have snuck off. Hmmmm. That's OK, everybody DANCE.

- Paco grabs Marissa for a dance. I love their relationship.

Uh oh, at the honeymoon suite:

- Pedro has changed into a fresh tee shirt for the wedding night, and Amelia has donned a new sack. Sexy! All that comes off very quickly and the love scene begins in a gauzy haze. (It's very tame and filmy, and if Univision hacked it, this time I am relieved.)

Recap Episode #113, Thursday, August 11, 2016: Let's Dance! (part 4)

The day after the wedding:

- Fer is off to school and Carlos will watch the kids. She clearly has separation anxiety (not sure why, this is not her first day of school). She also doesn't seem to think Carlos knows what to do with Pedrito and is late out the door after giving him numerous reminders.

- Yup, she's five minutes late to class! She disrupts it coming in and the teacher is not amused. The teacher gives Fer a tongue-lashing and wants her to leave and think about her committment. Fer tries to explain about Pedrito which only triggers a lecture about divided loyalties to music and child. The teacher makes a great point in pointing out to Fer that she disrupted all of the students' learning by being late.

- It's the morning after for Pedro and Amelia. Apparently it was good. They sink back into bed.

- I had thought Fer was being ridiculous with Carlos but apparently Pedrito is a fussy fuss-pot and Carlos is having a time. Luckily, Marissa has come over to help. She fusses over Pedrito as only an awesome abuelita can, and Pedrito simmers down.

- Luis is in the health unit, working on the director to go through with some plot to fake his death. I didn't quite understand the conversation but I think they are going to go for it.

- After class ends, Fer comes into the room to apologize to the teacher. The teacher gives Fer some straight talk about the time committment needed for serious music study.

- Carlos doesn't know how to parent. (LOL, we've seen that with his constant abandonment of Paco.) He asks Marissa how she does it. Marissa advises patience, learning and watching your child, and good communication. And she reminds Carlos that kids tend to like the mom more (basically). Carlos leaves to pick Paco up from school and Marissa and Pedrito start to color.

- In the prison kitchen, Apolinar, the gang, Luis and the director are discussing something I don't quite understand. The director threatens Apolinar and Ap and the gang leave. Luis and the director seem to be on the same wavelength. I assume this means the plot is on.

- Fer gets home and tells Carlos about being late. He reassures her but Paco says well, yeah, you need to trust Carlos to do a good job! They all have a chuckle and the family sits down to do some more coloring with Pedrito.

Pretty good episode! I do love weddings. I thought Carlos and Fernanda both have a little growing up to do in the parenting department and while I thought she was a touch harsh, the teacher was in the right to tell Fernanda that she must be on time to show respect to fellow students and the audience.

I had a hard time understanding what Luis is exactly plotting here, so please fill in for me on that!

DY77, your recap was terrific!

"It's time to cut the cake and Paco is on it!", "Suddenly Iggy asks Marissa to go off and walk. Oooooooh!", "Luis dreams, first recalling when he first hit Fer with his car, and then some other Fer memories. Ah the good times" and "She fusses over Pedrito as only an awesome abuelita can" were among my favorites.

"Iggy is like, well Amelia's attractive and all, but you have my heart! Swoon". I believe him. Truly. But, there is no denying that Ignacio was intrigued by Amelia. At least initially. I didn't remember the earrings being quite that grand but they were obviously a token of his appreciation. However, that was before he met the "old" not so nice Amelia. I suspect his ardor cooled somewhat then.

Yes, I love weddings too. The guests may not have been large in number but they truly enjoyed themselves, perhaps none as much as our dear Paco.

A stern (but brief) rebuke for Fernanda would have been in order. That teacher took it way too far. She didn't murder anyone. She was late for heaven's sake.

Enjoyed seeing Issy humiliated. Once again. I have to say, nothing has gone right for her has it? But luckily for her she has her looks and some craftiness which may attract someone who doesn't care if she has a happy heart.

Was disappointed Hernan let himself be dragged off by Mariana. Guess she still rules the roost. One that isn't hers, but nevertheless.

Thanks again DY!

Diana

Hey, dy, great coverage as always. Yes, I am glad you came out of lurkdom and have become a valuable and interesting part of this tiny but vibrant patio.

"Let's dance" was a great title for this episode. So many parts of the story, and the relationships between the characters were either firmed up, or opened up as they were twirling around.

I didn't think that Pedro and Amelia would last for the entire evening, but I thought it was funny that they snuck off without saying goodbye to anyone.

I think that episode with the music teacher is presenting Fer with a dilemma. The music teacher implied that you can't have ANY distractions in your life if you aspire to a successful career in music. Fer, however, has many; her son, her novio, etc. I wonder if this will be a point where she decides to maybe play for amateur organizations, but live her life, and enjoy the relationship she has with those she loves.

Luis certainly is up to something, but I can't figure out what his team consists of. One thing we can be certain of is that if only one life can be saved, Luis will save himself. No falling on a grenade to save your comrades for Luis.

Carlos will learn to parent over time, but I think this was a wakeup call for him.

Thanks again, dy. Just great.

David

Diana:

"Guess she still rules the roost. One that isn't hers, but nevertheless. . ."

That was really funny.

David

There was a Clarita sighting at the reception. All for now.

Great as always dy.

Pedrito - YEAH! Is the actress that plays Marissa really his abuela? He looked at her on cue when Carlos said 'tu abuela' and he calmed down immediately when she showed up to take him. Then he said some baby talk that I didn't catch while pointing to Carlos, but I laughed like crazy because it was funny (whatever it was) Oh that was my favorite scene of the night.

Ok, if I had to endure a little bit of the honeymoon at least I got to see Pedro's shirt off.

Suddenly Iggy asks Marissa to go off and walk. Oooooooh! Reminded me of hearing it at school. That was one of my fav's from your recap.

Felipe is still too damn old for Camila. I believe Lucero is older than she portrays so it doesn't look as weird. But whatever! Here we go Cami didn't want to dance until he turned his attention elsewhere. Girl have you not learned. Where's Vladi!?

Paco is the only mature person in that Perez/Gomez Luiz family. I love him to pieces. He has to give the grownups pep talk and flashing back to that scene with all the little brothers and Carlos sleeping - after last night, I believe Paco's nightmare would come true. Carlos needs time to get it right, but whooo Pedrito was giving him the business.

Thanks tofie for your condolences.

Dy--Splendid recap--you highlighted least what I didn't want to watch anyway (cringe worthy) and had >>FF through the wedding night scene, not really wanting a description of the moment. You highlighted the best--Iggy and Marissa. The scenes with Isy, Teo & Malquerida were cute, but I still consider it filler--even though we all knew how that was going to turn out.

I want to step in and defend Carlos. He was deprived of being with and bonding with his son from the time he was born until he was 2 (or is it 3 by now). Of course he's going to be closer to his mother, grandfather and Maribel. However, when they did some of the family scenes (Fer, Pedrito and Carlos), the two interacted very well and lovingly. I'm wondering if Pedrito was having a bad day and Marissa came on to help and since it was all being filmed anyway, they left it in as a "Carlos needs a lecture on parenting" scene.

Yes, where is Vladi? Another Latoodle expendable character? Will we see Teo again?
Since I could only watch with one eye on the tv last night, I appreciated all the dancing.

Luis, we know, has been trying to finagle a position in the kitchen. He tried to force the director to place him there by insinuating that the people who were out to kill him would be able to accomplish it much more easily if he "weren't" in the kitchen. He mentioned the beatings. The director was unmoved. He mentioned that his illness was provoked by poison. The director was unmoved. He mentioned getting murdered. That wouldn't look good on the director's record. That got the director's attention. When his record might be smudged up, he acquiesced.

Once they got to the kitchen, I was surprised to see Apo AND Ismael there, too. Apo was upset that the director was placing Luis in the kitchen when there was a long line of folks who had applied for a position in the kitchen, long before Luis became a prisoner (I guess this is a sweet placement). The director basically told Apo to stuff it, it was his decision, Luis stays.

I don't understand why Apo or Ismael were doing there. I thought Luis was trying to get away from them.

Me too Anita. I thought the point of the kitchen was to avoid Apo at least.

Anita, I thought the same thing that Pedrito was having a bad day and Carlos' character had to deal with it...I still wonder if Marissa, is indeed, his real grandmother. He responded to her like my grandbaby would respond to me if someone was getting on his nerves and then he saw me. MiMi! and then all is well. As soon as Carlos said grandma little Pedro turned around and looked at Marissa - it's possible.

However, I think this lil one will be an actor for sure because he takes to this environment like a pro.

this is awesome dy, "Dance Dance Dance!"

Agree Carlos missed some time bonding with his son but I think Carlos has a larger problem. He's not ready to have kids and too much a boy himself. He unilaterally adopts a child he dumps on his mom, a two year old he handles like an iguana and this wimp wants Fernanda to pop out more. Not impressed.

They wasted too much time implying Amelia and Pedro frolicked all night. I expected Pedro & Amelia disrobing and 30 sec later he's riding the tractor back to the party with a big ole grin.

Good as Malquerida sang in sing sing couldn't she pick a different song.

Kinda felt bad for Super O. How hard it must have been watching Marissa pine over Luis and clean up the mess. He deserves better.

As an undergrad I had several professors lock the door at start of class and if you weren't in your seat an absence. In law school my contracts professor required we prepare an oral brief and he would call on no more than two students each day and rip their arguments apart. He told us beware an attempt to play the probability game and not come prepared, for if he called on us and we were not prepared we fail the class. I admit several times I made myself really, really small in my seat and I'm tiny already. Livin on the edge.

Tofie, "I expected Pedro & Amelia disrobing and 30 sec later he's riding the tractor with a big ole grin on his face" lmao! Yeah there is no way that lasted all night. He has no experience at all! But any good good would feel wonderful especially when you are in love and have nothing to compare it to.

Friday 8/12/16 Part I

Good evening patio pals! We plate up the refritos with the director informing Apolinar and the boys that El Güero (Luis) is going to be joining them in the chow hall. Apolinar isn’t too happy, his buddy Isidoro has been waiting in line to get the same gig! Well too bad, says the director this ain’t chipotle..no waiting in line here. Ismell thinks that Luis cut some sort of deal with the director, but he dismisses the accusation stating it’s because of their thuggish acts that he had to move Montero there. Apolinar says well we’ll see how many problems they really have now. The Director warns Apolinar to watch his step or he’ll end up in max security. Apolinar rejects it, but Director says well try me boy, ya’ll got Montero here so put up with it. He then looks at Luis and wonders why he’d want to be in such a snake pit. Either way…no complaints from him either!

Back at Fer’s she tells her boys that they need to be her audience as she practices a piece for her class. They give her their artistic critiques…your posture, shoulders up, back straight, your face is too rigid. Pedrito, according to Carlos, thinks she needs to feel the music!

Meanwhile Tarzan and Jane aka Pedro and Amelia, explore the jungle stopping now and again for a few stolen kisses.

Luis, meanwhile vows to the director that the kitchen is going to be changed with his addition to the team. He watches as Issmell struggles with a faulty gas burner. Ismell knows Louse is up to something because who would want to be there, much less near them? Luis says have your friends close but your enemies closer.

Fer plays the same piece again for her boys and this time Pedrito Trump, doesn’t exercise any political correctness. He face palms it…obviously wishing his mom would learn a new tune! Tell me about it kid.

Apolinar and Ismell discuss Leo getting sprung and how he was put through his paces with the Apolinar gang. It’s so he could become a man! Being here made him stronger! Apolinar says. Issmell says what happens in the pen stays in the pen. He tests a tomato for ripeness, hurling it against the wall, nearly hitting Luis in the head. Luis is startled! #Boring

Friday 8/12/16 Part II

SwagOliciosness comes upon Marissa as she sits out in her garden/Veranda. He plants a kiss on the side of her face and I melt. They discuss how he was able to get Leo out on bail though he will not be allowed to leave the state. Marissa is happy and proud of her man. They exchange a few kisses, beaming at each other.

Ismell and Apolinar continue talking about Leo. You know the problems between you two was never personal, you were just in different gangs, says Ismell. Yup, and at least he never had to endure the most toxic guy ever, Apolinar says not to subtle *coughLuisMonterocough*. Aww gee you guys! I’m happy for Leo, whether you guys believe me or not, I’m happy he’s getting a second chance, because he was my buddy! Neither Ismell or Apolinar believe Louse. Stop being fake blondie!

Pedrito deciding that what Fer’s tune needs is an interpretive dance routine, proceeds to entertain Carlos and Paco. He saves this boring pointless scene. Thank you Pedrito!

Luis is tired of them bothering him. Apolinar can’t believe that Luis would be so disrespectful about a man who is about to be free (Leo). Luis doubts they care much either. This sets off Apolinar and he punches Louse In the gut. We see that Louse has the necklace in his hand. Guards arrive to break things up. I wish they would break up this boring episode. #worstepisodeever

Fer who is alone now studying her piece is interrupted by her boys. She isn’t happy and she becomes further annoyed when Felipe pops in. Her mood changes when she learns everything is in order (?) and she and Carlos can finally be married that weekend, which Fer says is in three days. Kisses..kisses.. and more kisses.

Ickybella announces to Malquerida that she got the advertising part for Teo’s campaign. Mal says he’s her guardian angel and she won’t let him down.

As Luis and Ismell pick up the broken dishes from the scuffle, Apolinar’s bud Isidoro tells him he can take out Luis. Apolinar wants to do it himself, but Isidoro says if that happens Apolinar will never get out. So the two finally agree that the friend will handle it and Apolinar will owe him. Meanwhile in the kitchen Luis works on his plan to get out.

Fer frets about a wedding dress, but Carlos could care less. Fer in a trash bag won’t stop him from marrying her.

Friday 8/12/16 Part III

The faulty burner is acting up again and Ismell says only Apolinar seems to be have luck with it. Apolinar asks his bud to get the tools, but at that moment there is an explosion. Flames erupt and Apolinar, Ismell and Luis who are trapped in the kitchen begin yelling for help.

The director and Swag-O who are in meeting are advised of the explosion. Swag-O wants to help but the Director says nope…this is probably an escape attempt and he can’t risk Swag-O being risked or worse being thought of as an escaped prisoner. Yeah because all prisoners have pinstriped suits and look as luscious as my Swag O! #HushYoMouthDirector

Luis, Ismell and Apolinar try to find a way out..it’s just the window! They beat on the glass with the force of swatting a fly "Help! Help!”

Fer and her squad are at a bridal boutique, ready to look at dresses. Adelina wonders if it’s a sensitive topic for the former Mrs Demonego, aka Loosero. Nah, I can’t think about that stuff now. I have other priorities , school, my life and my friends. Everything in due time, Fer adds. They get to the task of dresses. Cami has never heard of the rule that it's the Brides day and you don't steal her shine...she wants their dresses to be as beautiful as Fer's. Why is this chick even in the bridal party? Her ass should be lucky she's even invited, now she has a dress request? Shut it Cami.

Luis is making some head way with the window, when wouldn’t you know it? A part of the window frame falls on Apolinar. Luis makes his escape! #LuckyLuisIsLooseAgain

Fer tries on several dresses, but none are ‘the one’. Cami gives her opinion but Adelina who is looking healthy, reminds the group that Cami once dyed her hair two different colors. #TeamAdelina

Mal is ready to get on with the campaign and she doesn’t even bother to read the contract before signing it. She's just happy to know she’ll have enough for her food trucks. That and more says Teo and Issy. It’s all good until Mal finds out she’ll be on tv for the whole world to see. Issy says you break a contract and I’ll sue you! I’ve got a reputation to keep and you won’t ruin it, my name or my school!

The firefighters inform the director it’s all under control ,but it’s best they leave the area. The death count was low…only one; but the director just wants a head count of all prisoners. He wants to know where Luis is…because he’s a very dangerous man.
Just then we see Luis climbing walls and stairs. Each moment I’m closer to you daughter and my grandson. Soon we’ll be together like the family that we are. Over at the boutique a clueless Fer has her dress picked out. Well you're too late to pick out the dress Luis, but there’s still time to pick the cake and flowers!

Fer and Carlos..more talk about the wedding, the dress and when her parents will return from their honeymoon. #NoOneCares. #ImGettingMoreWine.

Friday 8/12/16 Part IV

Tarzan and Jane eat and discuss all the plants Pedro has yet to see. He is so happy and he thinks it must be how a kid feels when they go to an amusement park. Amelia doesn't think anything can ruin her happiness (give it a few weeks with him Amelia). She thinks they should travel.. Pedro agrees but after they build their BIG house (in other words when they're ninety). He tells her he wants to go to the beach. I agree…preferably to a beach where there are sharks. Hey..don’t judge me. #ByePedro

Carlos and Fer continue their love fest and Paco says basta! His little brother is in the
room and they need to cool it. They turn their attention to him and Pedrito. Tickle..tickle!

Teo thinks Izzy is handling Mal all wrong. Instead of jumping down her throat why not find out what the problem is? As far as he's concerned, she's never given Mal a fair shake or believed in her. He thinks he's finally seeing the real Izzy. Well good because Isabella De Leon doesn't play with her career, her reputation or her school. You got it? You'll honor that contract whether you like it or not. Teo doesn’t like what he’s seeing with Izzy.

The director heads back to his office. Swag-O says you better let me see Luis Montero. The director says don’t worry about him being free..he’s dead. How do you know? Well here’s what’s left. He shows the bracelet to Swag-O. Luis caused so many problems over this piece of jewelry.

At Altamanor, Meanie gets to breakfast late and orders Blanca to serve her. Well you should have gotten up earlier. Oh just serve me! It’s a tough crowd with Hernan and Cami, giving her a cool reception. Meanie doesn’t understand is she making their food bitter? Meanie wants Cami to know she looked for her every day for the years she was away. Blanca backs up Meanie’s claims. Say what you want about her but Meanie is telling the truth. She was up with the chickens looking for you, coming home late and then back out the next morning. Meanie says she did it because she wanted Hernan to have his daughter back. Oh? Are you sure it wasn’t because you felt guilty ror throwing me out? Cami asks. Hernan can’t believe it. Cami says yup, it wasn’t her choice to be away all these years. She left in a tantrum the first time, but she came back only to be thrown out the second time. It’s Meanie’s fault, yo!

Friday 8/12/16 Part V

Swag-O is a bit skeptical, a bracelet means nothing especially because it was taken from Luis by Apolinar. Oh but he got it back the director says..it was a huge deal witnessed by fellow prisoners and custodians and Montero had it on! I even admired it. But we can get DNA to confirm it. So what you're saying is you think is it was Luis Montero who was burned? Swag-O asks again to be sure. Yup DNA will confirm I'm right, the director says. Just then the guards come in….it was Apolinar who escaped!

Hernan is disgusted by Meanie..she’s sunk to a new low and now he hates her. Not in that husband/wife way where they bicker…he’s a true hater now! Its killing him to feel this way. Meanie takes offense..he’s got no right to say it or feel it! Oh yeah? Well we had a deal..we could do to others, but not to each other and you broke it. You betrayed me! Meanie is moved to stinging tears! Cami seems moved by her father’s pain. Meanie reminds Hernan that he wasn’t always sugar and spice and everything nice. He agrees, but people change. He looks at his daughter, who has obviously been his motivation for the new view. Meanie says hogwash..people don’t change. Damages repaired, behaviors modified..but real change? Nah! You can tell yourself that to ease your guilt and perverse actions but you’re not fooling me..because you and I are the same. Hernan refuses the claim as Cami looks on..astonished and perhaps for the first time seeing her father and stepmother and maybe even herself.

Swag-O heads back to Marissa’s to find her out on the veranda again..there is no kiss this time. He tells her there was a fire at the prison. Luis is dead. Cue the music and cara de impactada de Marissa !

FIN

Good morning, Delilah. Thank you so much for this!

I don't know what I would choose as the headline for this episode, because there was so many disparate things going on.

I did not understand why Felipe presenting Carlos and Fer with some papers would allow them to get married. What, it takes a lawyer to get your marriage license?

The prison escape was fun. "They beat on the glass with the force of swatting a fly." Yeah, even with flames licking at their heels, they didn't seem very robust in their attempts to extricate themselves from that area. Was it planned by Luis to mis-identify the corpse as himself, or was that just dumb luck? At any rate, the "dangerous" Luis is free and full of himself. "Soon we'll be together like the family that we are." Jeez, give me a break.

When Fer was practicing her violin piece before her audience of adoring male family members, I wonder how much ad-libbing was going on in order to control Pedrito. Whatever was going on he was cute, and they bent his actions to conform with the script. Fer the character, and Paulina Goto the person both seem to have a way with young children.

I saw more indications last night that the total commitment to her career as a violinist would require is not going to mesh well with what Fer wants regarding her domestic situation.

Malquerida's plight is puzzling. We are expected to think that she escaped from prison, but I'll bet there is another explanation. I would hate to see her a fugitive, captured, and sent back to prison. I'm glad that Teo is seeing Isy for the person that she truly is. Her hair isn't the only thing about her that is twisted.

Oh, boy. Over breakfast, Mariana is totally exposed for what she did to Camila. (Wait till all the other stuff comes out.) Hernan HAS turned a corner, I think.

Thanks again, Delilah. So well done.

David

Oh, and by the way, Delilah, I don't do social media stuff, so I'm not quite sure what a hashtag is, but you blended that wonderfully into the way you told this story. Coincidentally, in the last role I saw Paulina Goto in, Mi Corazon es Tuyo, her juvenile character was always accentuating things by throwing in hashtags to call attention to what she was talking about.

David

Kendra--Have to slip this in before I read the always rollickin' good recap from Delilah.

About Pedro and inexperience in other than tractor riding---Amelia has only had one experience in the grass by the waterfall. They both need plenty of time to learn. Please...please let them have it off-screen. The wedding night was enough.

Delilah, that was awesome. Highlight, cut, and paste cuz it was all my fav. Pedro at the beach with sharks #byePedro #dontjudgeme lol!

Yes, i almost died when Adelina pointed out why they shouldn't take fashion advice from someone who dyed thier hair twotone and has nothing in her closet except booty shorts (ok maube I threw in the shorts part)

Tarzan and Jane is correct. Cutest rag I've seen on her and I still didn't quite like it. They bore me.

I had to be with the furball on one thing last night when she was asking Mal, "so you really aren't going to read it" crazy stupid stuff.

Oh Pedrito and Paco. As much as I thought the scene was unnecessary, it was also cute and welcomed. I love it when they show them as i cant get enough.

Those damn flashbacks are getting on my nerves. Especially the ones when Cami was found. If she was dead...makes sense - before they found her...makes sense, but while hugging an alive and well Cami?

Marissa and Super Oh! In the words of dy...Ooooooh! That was cute and he was the happiest man ever.

Yes, Anita...to both. I have not changed my mind about them and at this point...it's not going to happen. So I'm not going to try anymore.

Delilah you are so funny. Oh gawd I laughed throughout

"Meanwhile Tarzan and Jane aka Pedro and Amelia"

Anita, agree Amelia is inexperienced as well and compared to selfish Luis, Pedro cares if she's awake. Blind leading the blind.

I'm with Pedrito and Delilah, but way past a facepalm. I cover my ears and scream when Fernanda plays the same damn song. Maybe Todd Rundgren would work with her.

Ana Patricia Rojo is awesome. One finger to wipe the one tear then she snaps back realizing Hernan is gone for good. Love Mariana.

Love the banter between the 4 girl friends. Well done.

Delilah, smart and savvy. A wonderful recap.

In addition to what everyone has notd "this time Pedrito Trump, doesn’t exercise any political correctness” was my absolute favorite.

"SwagOliciosness comes upon Marissa as she sits out in her garden/Veranda. He plants a kiss on the side of her face and I melt". Yes. Marissa is glowing - as well she should. This romance was written in the stars.

"Issy says you break a contract and I’ll sue you! I’ve got a reputation to keep and you won’t ruin it, my name or my school!" I had to smirk at this. The ink on the contract wasn’t even dry. Further, Issy has acted all along as though even the thought of Malq representing her would sully her reputation. The fact that her "reputation" is already in tatters, has apparently not even occurred to her.
“I'm glad that Teo is seeing Isy for the person that she truly is. Her hair isn't the only thing about her that is twisted”. Fabulous David! It didn’t take him long to be disenchanted, did it?? I wonder if Malq is hiding from someone? There’s a story that we haven’t been privy to.

Kendra, “Pedrito and Paco”. Yup. Me too. They are both adorable but I love Paco. He seems so delighted and happy with everything and everyone, I sometimes wonder if he realizes all of this isn’t real? He is a natural.

Tofie, “Ana Patricia Rojo is awesome. One finger to wipe the one tear then she snaps back realizing Hernan is gone for good”. Very well stated. I have no sympathy for the character. I don't pity her nor am I in the least bit worried about her. She will always land on her feet.

I know I’m in the minority (ummm, maybe I’m totally alone?) but I enjoy Pedro and Amelia and am happy this far from ordinary love story has been given a second act.

Anita, “About Pedro and inexperience in other than tractor riding---Amelia has only had one experience in the grass by the waterfall. They both need plenty of time to learn” was great.

Fer is now facing the reality that most of the world does. How do you balance career and home life? Achieving a balance is difficult, especially in a profession that demands attention and single mindedness. I suspect she will manage to meld the two perfectly.

Delilah, thank you for the marvelous summary.

Diana

Hello all! Thank you for the kind comments. This was a rough one..so..B.O.R.I.N.G. I really hope that next week picks up with some better action, as much as I love Carlos/Fer,their constant silliness and I wuv you..no I wuv you more..is wearing thin. I could feel Pedrito's pain. Face palm indeed.

Pedro/Amelia leave me cold, simply because I don't believe them, there is no chemistry. If they had just come full circle as great wonderful friends, it would have been better. Marissa and Swag-O are my favorite. They truly belong together.

How lucky can Luis be? That beam/window frame just happened to fall on Apolinar but they were both under it? He just slipped away through the window..no one stopped him? There was no gate around the prison? No guards? Were the firemen not there yet? So no one was trying to put out the flames with water? Luis was just dry and with out a hair out of place or soot on his clothes. So many questions...such a silly unbelievable escape, from an inept buffoon. I can't believe it.

I need more Malquerida. I'm guessing Malquerida must have someone in her past she doesn't want to see her. Was she abused? Or did she accidentally kill someone and she doesn't want the family to know? It could be she doesn't want her happiness ruined by her past mistake. I doubt she escaped.

Is it weird that I'm actually hoping Hernan and Meanie work things out? I know Cami was a kid, but it just seems to me she's never actually been held accountable for HER choices. She has always known right from wrong. No one made her do anything, from chasing Carlos and making a nuisance of herself to setting it up Fer to running off with her boyfriend. Her being homeless doesn't make up for what she did to Fer. She was always still free. There's always someone to coddle and fuss over poor Cami.

David I saw that same Tn with PG and I remember the hashtags. Did anyone watch ‘De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero?' Gerardo Murguía played a successful artist named Tadeo, so I had to chuckle when he showed up here as Teo.

Delilah, I did watch De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero. The actor looks familiar but can't for the life of me remember his character much. I was too focused on Marcelo Cordoba and Cynthia Klitbo's romance (love both these actors)...

Diana

Delilah--I am so going to miss your recaps when this is over. We go from one hysterical phrase to another. Shouldn't you be writing for SNL?

Most of the wonderful quotes were taken by others, but I'll add my dittos to all of them.

Paco is finally growing on me. True, most of these tns have to have a smart-mouthed, brassy, loud chamaco (remember the kid in LQNPA--he never used his inside voice inside). If we had to have one, Paco is certainly earning his props. I wonder if baby Pedrito gets paid. He has been one of the most adorable toddlers ever. So glad they got him for Carlos and Fernanda.

(Ooops, my grandson wants to watch Olympic rowing streaming live--so I'm giving up my computer, while his girlfriend watches Que Pasa USA? -- a 1980s kind of Jane the Virgin).

Diana, Tadeo in DQTQTQ was a famous artist, long lost love and fathered the child miscarried of alcoholic aunt Irene who had a fling with Alonso the friend of the twins.

tofie, thank you! What a memory you have...

Diana

It's not that Diana. I hated the toadboy Alonso so I remembered.

Tofie, I don't think the child was miscarried. The child was thought to have died but in fact after giving birth to her in the woods and passing out. Irene didn't know that her baby had lived and was taken and given away (place in a manger outside a church) That's when Cynthia Klitbo's character (Lupe?) found the baby outside a church on Christmas. She named her Natalia and raised her, Natalia was played by Livia Brito.

See Diana, I don't have a good memory and Delilah is right. I didn't like Natalia either and forgot about her being Tadeo and Irenes daughter. Duh, kinda an important fact.

Glad i didn't watch that would have made me dislike her in MIVAC

Thank you Delilah and tofie.

Now that you have refreshed my memory, I believe he fell ill but can't remember if he survived...

Diana
