Yago Capitulo 52: Abortion Free Funday
I'll just wear the bullet vest next time |
Labels: yago
Oh drat. Teo's got a big mouth. Julia's pregnancy was not Teo's secret to tell.
Whoa, was Lucio told to get rid of Becker? If he did, I'm sorry I missed that in my recap yesterday.
Julie- I don't think he was told to get rid of Becker. I think what Lucio meant by taking care of Becker was when he brought Becker back into the fold the first time. We all know that was really Yago's doing, but Camilo doesn't know that. Camilo's last instructions were to keep a low profile (i.e. no high profile killings) for now, while the investors are so skittish.
Totally agree with you that it wasn't Teo's secret to tell. I understand Katia telling him, because they're a couple and couples discuss the things on their minds. Kudos to her for accepting Julia's reproaches and admitting her fault with an apology.
Notice that gun Lucio tucked into his waistband when he was speaking with Camilo? How ironic that Ambar's photo was right there between them, as they discussed her murder.
Everyone's harping on Sara not being trustworthy, but she's the only one delivering and not messing up the plan. She got Camilo alone, naked and vulnerable for the team to get him. Meanwhile, Abel, who made the biggest stink about her joining the team, blurts out the plan to Julia, who he knows WON'T let them harm Camilo.
Vivi: Teo does have a big mouth! It wasn't his secret to tell.
Julie: The producers could pull a fast one on us next week!
This TN, in it's last episodes, is really ticking me off after it had been mostly flawless until now. What happened?
Teo telling Abel about the pregnancy, Abel telling Julia about the plot to kill Camilo, Sara aligning with Fidel and most likely going to get Yago in the end. I don't look as forward to watching it as I used to because I am being let down too much now. Urg!
I have not seen this epi yet, but sounds like a good one.
I have to say that I don't want Sara and Yago to be end game, but it might be the only way Yago can be with his son. But I am really hoping Yago stays single.
Hasta Pronto!
Did anyone beside me get a chuckle out of all those red tennis shoes which Hernan had? Maybe Converse brand? I was reminded of the stock of toy pianos that Schroeder of Charlie Brown had. Like when Lucy busted one, he just opened the closet door and took out another. Now what if someone steals all his tennis shoes? Does he then lose his powers?
You reckon if Camilo kills Hernan he will put a pair of those tennies at the foot of his Hernan orchid, maybe use a shoe for a flower pot?
Maybe the director was putting us on.
So how do you like Elf Lucio? I find him very creepy but adorable at the same time LOL.
Thank you Enoch for rewatching that part. I will modify it in the recap later.I think the writers wanted us to see her shoes for some reason. It can't be a coincidence. Ximena glueing the shoes would be hilarious.
If they wanted to do something with Becker it's already a bit too late to develop him. Maybe he will rescue Yago from trouble?
I agree that Teo shouldn't have talked. It's not part of his business at all. And Abel was a bit dumb to reveal the master plan. It's a big con when everyone knows what the boss plans to do next. Atleast Cam uses the hiearchy system. Teo,Cam,Yago,Selma and Abel all have an equal voice. Cam would rip the tongue of anyone who questions his orders.
This is not a TN where you can wrap things up in the traditional pink bow, at least I hope not. Seems to me, no matter how Sara is playing this particular game and maybe redeeming herself, her ultimate betrayal of Omar years ago seems to still need an anvil. If there is a clichéd ending to this one, it would be for Sara to kick the bucket and there would be some emotional apology/dying scene with Yago.
Still head scratching a bit as to who does survive this tale. Lucio needs to go for sure, Fidel along with him. Teo screwed up with his revealing of Julia's pregnancy, and I still can't get out of my head how he helped pull the prank on his sister and then buried her. Anvil worthy?
I know, most of this tale is people who have screwed up in the most major ways you can think of and some we've learned to pull for...but do they really deserve those second chances?
Poor Matias. No matter how you shake it, that is going to be one messed up young man for the rest of his life.
"Abel is also pissed that Sara got into the game free as a bird while he had to wear explosives as a proof of loyalty" You weren't sleeping with Yago, Abel.
cathyx, I'm with you and think Yago and Sara will be together. How lame to use a lie detector to prove Sara loves Yago and won't betray him again. Omar was a fool in love and his ego just wouldn't let her go. His mental gymnastics and thuggery to prove to himself and everyone else this is a tale of two Sara's. One ruthless and one pure. Omar got ruthless Sara and Yago has to coax out (fabricate) pure Sara. He's a happy thug though.
I don't really think Yago should end up with either of the women. Ximena could go insane in his presence. Sara may be cool for now but let's not forget that scorpions never really change their nature. If Yago let's Sara down, don't expect Sara to stand still.
Daisynjay poses an interesting question. Does anybody...who has done great harm in life...even accidentally...deserve a second chance at happiness?
I'm inclined to say that since we are all flawed and imperfect--I would hope the Universe would be willing to give us all a second chance.
But there are certainly powerful moral arguments to the contrary. Consequences. Punishment. Suffering. No second chances.
How do you vote, commenters?
With malice and happiest when you do harm, deserve nothing.
Judy- Thanks for the great question on second chances. I ditto what Cathyx said. It doesn't mean you deserve a second chance with the same people, however. It's up to them if they want to put their trust in you again. You can't control what others do or how they feel. You can only control your own actions, and forge a new path for yourself.
Thanks for this well done recap. It's much appreciated.
Isn't it interesting that Fidel just happens to have polygraph equipment and the necessary expertise to administer a lie detector test? He's already demonstrated his surgical skill by removing that bullet from Abel. There's no telling what else he's capable of.
By the way Count, that was an expensive cigar that Camilo lit up, not one of those low class cigarettes that the simple folk smoke. He observed that it's impossible to enjoy a drink without a good cigar.
Judy,
Since we've been friends for such a long time and have endured many TNs together I suspect you already can guess my answer to your question. I'm all for second (and even third and fourth) chances... especially for pretty bad girls.
I smiled at Camilo's coy shyness at being photographed in that robe... almost cute.
Carlos
I can't see Yago and Sara riding off into the sunset together. Maybe he can forgive her, but he'll never forget - or let her forget. I hope Sara makes it out alive. I'm glad that Yago/Omar realizes Mati will always see Lucio as his dad.
The whole let's shoot Camilo to death and all our problems will be over scenario didn't work for me. How does Melina expect Julia to accept this?
Up till now, I've always contended a guy has a right to know he's having a baby and be in on any abortion decision. But not this time. It was a one-night stand and Abel is hardly fit for this no matter how lovable he can be. I'm picturing a baby with a rat-tail 'do.
Camilo in the spa with Sara was cute too. But the whole thing had all the makings of a trap that any mafia don should've seen through.
Of course I didn't like Abel spilling the frijoles to Julia, but I wasn't surprised. In his mind, they're practically celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, he is so excited about this baby that she doesn't want to have.
Naturally I think everyone deserves a second chance, after they've paid for screwing up the first time. The thing is, I don't think what Sara's doing qualifies as payment. She's apologized verbally to Yago, but that's not payment either. Payment would be turning herself in to the authorities and serving her sentence for the casino heist and for lying on the witness stand (twice). When she told Yago that she was willing to do anything to prove that she was sorry, that's what he should have challenged her to do.
What if Yago dies along with Lucio while trying to save Sara and Matias?
This would solve a lot of what else happens to everybody else.
I see several possibilities. Abel could die saving Julia, for example. Sara and/or Yago could die saving Mati. But I still think Lucio will kill himself, in honor of the Monte Cristo story.
